  Speaker 1: Grateful for it comes through a huge amount of responsibility.

  Speaker 1: I didn't really know I was gonna have to be

  Speaker 1: this responsible, you know. Can I share something with y'all?

  Speaker 1: I started out to Finally I had gotten on track
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: and was able to see a way to even pursue

  Speaker 1: my dream. It has been a long, a long trip

  Speaker 1: that I've been on, and I've gone through so many

  Speaker 1: phases of it. It is rewarding along the way to

  Speaker 1: accomplish your dreams. What I'm saying is this, let me,

  Speaker 1: let me put it together, because I got so much

  Speaker 1: running through my head right now. You know, it's it's
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: one thing to accomplish your dreams, but there's joy in
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: the process of achieving it. See, some people are so

  Speaker 1: caught up in the goal, the final goal, that they
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: find no joy, no enjoyment in the process.

  Speaker 2: If you have.

  Speaker 1: Found what it is you want to do and you
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: strike out on that journey, please understand you are far
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: more blessed than the average person to know what it
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: is you really want to do, to find your work
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: in life, your purpose, to find out what direction you
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: want to go in is such a blessing. The average person,
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: if you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: have their life on track. And it'd be some people
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: that you looking at you think, God it going on
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: because of their appearance, their swagger.

  Speaker 2: Oh they walk like it, they talk like it, they
• 1:56
  Speaker 2: look like it.

  Speaker 1: But if you sit down and talk to the average person,

  Speaker 1: the average person man does not know what their purpose is,

  Speaker 1: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: no idea how to get there. If you are on

  Speaker 1: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: if you have an idea of what you want to be,
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: and you are on your way there, you are truly blessed.

  Speaker 1: And in that blessing you must recognize it as a blessing.

  Speaker 1: You must recognize the fact that you are on the
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: right side and that there should be a sense of
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you that you
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: are on track to accomplish your goal. See what used
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: to happen was sometimes I used to keep my nose
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even look up
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: and realize. Man, hey man, I know you're trying to
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: get here, but Steve, hold on, Man, can't you see
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: what you've done so far?

  Speaker 2: Can't you find just some joy in the process.

  Speaker 1: See, a lot of us lose the joy of a
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: blessings God has given us because we looking at the
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: end talking about I ain't there yet, you on your way.

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you an example. I had a friend
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: who told me that they wanted to be a millionaire.
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: And they asked me some questions and I told them,
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: so they started the process. And I am telling you,
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: this dude works extremely hard. So about a year later
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: we were talking. He had found this business, he had
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: set his goal, and he was working towards it. Then
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: about two years later I ran up into him again.

  Speaker 1: We were talking about it and everything. He said, Man,
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: really really appreciate the advice. He said, Man, but this
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: is all jacked up, man, because I still ain't made
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: that million I was talking about. I said, well, hey, man,
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: just keep at it is coming. He said, Man, keep
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: at it.

  Speaker 2: Man.

  Speaker 1: You know how long I've been doing this been two
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: years now. And I didn't say that to him, but
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: I said to myself. Yeah, two years, he said, Man,
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: I've been grinding so long. Man, its just it ain't
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: happening for me. I said, wait a minute, man, holld on,
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you making right now?
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: A year?

  Speaker 1: Man?

  Speaker 2: About two hundred and fifty thousand. I quit breathing. I said, well,

  Speaker 2: my man, two years ago you didn't have a clue.

  Speaker 1: Two years later, you making a quarter of a million dollars.

  Speaker 1: I said, man, do you understand how blessed you are?
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: I said, ma'am your family was about to get put
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: out two years ago you done bought a house. Yeah, man,
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: but this ain't the house I really won't. Oh, oh, partner,
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: whoa I got that?
• 4:54
  Speaker 2: I got that? The house you really want? Mike call
• 4:57
  Speaker 2: fied eight million? I don't know.

  Speaker 1: But y'all got a house, you making a payment, you

  Speaker 1: drive it. You ain't out no more? I said, old man,

  Speaker 1: you got to stop. I said, you got to stop.

  Speaker 1: I said, man, because right now, man, you you coming across.

  Speaker 1: That's real ungrateful to me. And so he said, man,
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: why are you tripping like that?

  Speaker 2: Man? Man, you act like don't nobody want to have
• 5:17
  Speaker 2: nothing but you?
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: I said, whoa man? Where are you going with this conversation?

  Speaker 1: I said, Oh, I didn't come to you. I just
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: came to you and asked you how you doing. And

  Speaker 1: I'm trying to point out to you that the journey
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: that you started on, that you are on your way,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: and you are in the process of accomplishing your goals.

  Speaker 1: And can you not feel some joy and some pleasure
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: in your accomplishment. Quit tripping on the fact that you
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: ain't made a million yet. You on your way. You
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: done went from he thought, this dude was making fifteen
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year. You making quarter of a million
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: dollars in two years. Man, Come on, man, can't you see?
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: Can't you see?
• 5:51
  Speaker 2: So? He said? Eventually, ah, man, I kind of see
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: what you saying.

  Speaker 1: But that ain't about nothing to me because I ran
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: up into him a year and a half later. How

  Speaker 1: you doing, man, man, I sure wish I'd appreciated my

  Speaker 1: life when I had it.

  Speaker 2: Like that, I said, what you mean, had it like that? Man?

  Speaker 2: Just fell on some hard times. Man, right back where
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: I was.
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: or be to start over? Okay, my man, hold up, pardoner,
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: you can do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, Okay,
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this. Okay, didn't handle it your way.

  Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your way.
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: to it, because He gives us all the power of choice.

  Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't shade the

  Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's taken too long. I'm gonna
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: let you do it your way. I'm not gonna turn
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: my back on you. I'm just gonna let you do
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: it your way.

  Speaker 2: Just just say.

  Speaker 1: Maybe he said that, and now he right back where
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: it was. So what I tried to get the young

  Speaker 1: cat to understand was man, appreciate your life for what
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: it is, because, like like Jenny's got that song that
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: he got out off this album. Still, I still believe
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: it could have been worse. And now that it is worse,
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: what's on your mind now, folks? If you are on
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: that side of life where you have figured out what
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: you want to do, you know how you're gonna get that,
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: and you know your purpose, You're accomplishing what the majority
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: of people never ever do. So be grateful for your process.

  Speaker 1: Don't tumble yourself, don't throw yourself off the cliff. It's
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: gonna be all right. Success takes a measure of time.

  Speaker 1: It is not easy. If success were easy, everybody would
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: be successful.
