- 1:02Speaker 1: on Hallmark this summer. Must jump right into a synopsis
- 1:05Speaker 1: Stuffle Up to the Rescue sure thing. Two single parents
- 1:08Speaker 1: come head to head when their kids want to adopt
- 1:11Speaker 1: the same dog. Agreeing to co foster, Free spirited Kate
- 1:15Speaker 1: and type A Eric must work together to find the
- 1:18Speaker 1: dogs Forever Home, starring Nikki Deloche and Michael Rady Good Job,
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah Who. This movie was directed by Stephen R.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Monroe.
- 1:28Speaker 1: He has fifty four directing credits, which include movies like
- 1:31Speaker 1: A Caribbean Summer, just reviewed a movie, Who's with a
- 1:37Speaker 1: Star who was also in Caribbean Summer, Other Women's, a
- 1:40Speaker 1: Winter Getaway, and Marrying Mister Darcy. This movie was written
- 1:43Speaker 1: by Sarah Montana, who has four writing credits, including a
- 1:48Speaker 1: New Year's Resolution hexscies.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I didn't like that movie at all.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I think she needs to rewatch it. Okay, if I
- 1:54Speaker 1: expect an issue if I only had Christmas, a movie
- 1:58Speaker 1: I really liked even though I had CCB in it
- 2:00Speaker 1: and two turtle doves. She's also currently in pre production
- 2:04Speaker 1: of a Christmas movie called Rescuing Christmas. Sorry, Rachel Lee Cook,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I have no idea if it's a Hallmark movie or not.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We'll see if it lands on the Hallmark channel. Okay.
- 2:14Speaker 1: We have Nicki Delouch in this movie. She plays Kate.
- 2:17Speaker 1: The last thing we saw her in was Curious Caterer
- 2:20Speaker 1: Grilling Season. We are getting a third Curious Caterer movie.
- 2:24Speaker 1: The tentative title is Curious caterer Last Suppers, but we
- 2:29Speaker 1: don't as of the recording of this podcast, have an
- 2:31Speaker 1: airdate for the third movie in that series. That's right, I'm.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Did we come up with the Lost Suppers?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Was that one of ours that we I don't think
- 2:40Speaker 1: that was fine? Never thinks so I just wish no
- 2:43Speaker 1: roast for the Wicked? Do you hear me? I think
- 2:46Speaker 1: it would be great? Okay, fine, I'll let it go.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Michael Rady he plays Eric Smith. I mean Eric Smith,
- 2:53Speaker 1: can you get I'm a more generic name. We last
- 2:57Speaker 1: saw him on Hallmark and Unexpected Grace, which grew some
- 3:00Speaker 1: interesting critiques from a few of our Facebook group members.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We just did listen to our review of that. Lots
- 3:08Speaker 2: to talk about that episode.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He works outside of Hallmark Universe quite a bit, including
- 3:12Speaker 1: he's a regular on Magnum p I Chicago, med New Amsterdam.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But he'll always be that teenage Quty Coastas Coastus Costas
- 3:22Speaker 1: Coastas from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Alexis Ladell's love interests. Yeah, Greek,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I feel like a real creep saying that too. I'm
- 3:32Speaker 1: not trying to be I'm just like he was very
- 3:34Speaker 1: cute in that movie. I don't think he was underage
- 3:36Speaker 1: in that movie. If that's okay, that makes me feel better.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Cutie Don Bruce was played by dog Zip.
- 3:43Speaker 2: He doesn't have any other words listed on MTV Justice
- 3:46Speaker 2: for Zip.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I mean, I just think that's sad. I just loved
- 3:51Speaker 1: him with him to work, although he's clearly not a
- 3:54Speaker 1: trained dog like he was constantly yanking at that lead.
- 3:57Speaker 1: This movie was filmed entirely in Savannah, Georgia, quite stunning.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Loved that as a filming location. All their little walks
- 4:06Speaker 2: in the park.
- 4:07Speaker 1: M hm, real cute. Two more things I want to
- 4:10Speaker 1: add here with a question. First, all, this movie got
- 4:13Speaker 1: a six point nine out of ten from users on IMDb.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I feel like that's kind of a low rating too,
- 4:19Speaker 1: But I think this is like a fan favorite movie. No,
- 4:22Speaker 1: all right, those two things don't always like match up. No.
- 4:25Speaker 2: No.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I read in the comments or the user reviews on
- 4:31Speaker 1: IMDb that sometimes Nikki de Looch always always appears older
- 4:38Speaker 1: than her male leads, And I want to know what
- 4:40Speaker 1: you think about that. Do you think she appears older
- 4:43Speaker 1: or do you think her co stars maybe just look younger?
- 4:48Speaker 1: For example, she's forty. No, I just mean, like, do
- 4:52Speaker 1: they look are they younger looking dudes? How old are she?
- 4:57Speaker 1: And my she is forty three, Rady's forty one, Andrew Walker,
- 5:02Speaker 1: for a test is forty three. Okay, so she's basically
- 5:07Speaker 1: the same age as all of these men.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think people are agist. I think when women show
- 5:17Speaker 1: signs of age, whatever that means. Maybe I think Nikki
- 5:20Speaker 1: Delochua looks great. She's forty three. That's how old I am.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I think they're not treated the same way as men do.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You're like, oh, look at that sultan.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Peppery beard, Oh look at those.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Crinkles around his eyes.
- 5:31Speaker 1: When you're like, hey, lady gets some botox, right, I
- 5:35Speaker 1: understand what you're saying.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm wondering, like, I.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Don't like the idea that we've got a cast an
- 5:39Speaker 1: actress who looks younger so that she plays the part
- 5:43Speaker 1: of this hot dude. I agree, I absolutely agree, get
- 5:48Speaker 1: at it, And I think it's unfair to be she
- 5:50Speaker 1: needs to be with an actor who's older, like treat
- 5:53Speaker 1: Williams like Hammery Matheson. How old is that dude? Old?
- 5:58Speaker 1: I don't know, no way.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Forty two he's fifty three.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Oh. I could see people saying, like, you know, he's
- 6:05Speaker 1: a young looking fifty three.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Honestly, he looks That's what I'm saying.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Dos like Walker and Rady they look younger than their
- 6:12Speaker 1: actual age. Yeah. But my point is people were saying like, oh,
- 6:15Speaker 1: she looks old. I agree they are that Bite me, okay,
- 6:19Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna give any weight to this argument.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It was just a conversation. I wanted to ask because
- 6:26Speaker 1: I saw it was a recurring comment on IMDb, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: look at users of IMDb are not always the kindest.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So keyboard Warriors indeed, So, okay, what's your first impression
- 6:40Speaker 1: of Love to the Rescue? Have I seen this movie before?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Have we? Yeah? Because I remember those rudimentary sketches that
- 6:48Speaker 1: she did for the Carnival from something else. Maybe he
- 6:52Speaker 1: threw it a Hallmark, maybe I did. And this is
- 6:55Speaker 1: what's all trickling back into this brain of mine. My
- 7:00Speaker 1: I have been post a New Year's resolution because that
- 7:03Speaker 1: particular episode we had friend of the show CALLI on
- 7:06Speaker 1: to review, and I remember her saying like how much
- 7:10Speaker 1: she loved Michael Rady and how Grady was and like
- 7:13Speaker 1: you're baking me crazy, and maybe she mentioned this movie
- 7:17Speaker 1: and maybe I watched this movie after that. I don't
- 7:20Speaker 1: remember it. I remember some elements of it. Maybe okay,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but you've never seen it? No, okay, what's your first
- 7:26Speaker 1: impression A movie with a dog that doesn't suck?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think so many movies that we've seen in the
- 7:34Speaker 1: past couple of years have been chasing the high of.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Love to the rescue.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Oh, they're like this remands to the rescue and all
- 7:41Speaker 1: these other nonsense dogs movies that are like, we're just
- 7:44Speaker 1: gonna put a dog in the movie and that's gonna
- 7:46Speaker 1: solve every issue we have with the movie itself. I think,
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't What do you think about having animals play
- 7:54Speaker 1: a role in movies? I think it's okay as long
- 8:00Speaker 1: as you don't put too much weight on the animal.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And since we're moving on to our likes, I think
- 8:06Speaker 1: that's one thing this movie does well is that Bruce
- 8:09Speaker 1: is central to the movie. His story is central to
- 8:12Speaker 1: this movie. But Bruce himself, the dog, is not central
- 8:18Speaker 1: to this movie. So much of his story takes place
- 8:21Speaker 1: without him even on screen. And I think that's what
- 8:25Speaker 1: this movie does well. A dog, but it's a.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Movie about a dog. It's really not. It's a movie
- 8:32Speaker 2: about this relationship, which I understand.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Whatever they're Eric Anna, I don't remember Kate. You know.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He'm just saying, you know. But the script revolves around like,
- 8:46Speaker 1: this movie doesn't work without Bruce, without the dog. They
- 8:49Speaker 1: would need a new premise to bring these two people together,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and so the entire premise is based on Bruce. Does
- 8:56Speaker 1: they could have removed Bruce and just had it be
- 8:58Speaker 1: the pta b the pre that they come together. Yes,
- 9:01Speaker 1: but I'm not bothered by Bruce's role, and it is
- 9:04Speaker 1: neither am I. I love animals, though I've never seen
- 9:08Speaker 1: The Nine Kittens of Christmas, and I don't know if
- 9:10Speaker 1: I Kimberly Sustin.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I love her, but I.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Just don't know. Tell me what else you like. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: thought this movie was very funny, very funny, really like,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I think Kate and Eric had great banter. At one point,
- 9:25Speaker 1: he's like, maybe dial back to caffeine, and then she
- 9:27Speaker 1: shouts back never. There's a scene when Kate is alone
- 9:31Speaker 1: watching a movie and a Hallmark movie perhaps yes, and she.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Goes, oh, he's definitely the one. You've known him for
- 9:38Speaker 2: like three weeks.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah. I just thought that was There were some great
- 9:42Speaker 1: funny lines. And I think Nikki DeLoach is a really
- 9:45Speaker 1: good comedic actress, and we don't really see her in
- 9:48Speaker 1: that role quite a bit. I mean, with the exception
- 9:50Speaker 1: of currieus Cater kind of plays into that. Yeah, I agree,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I think she gets the more serious role. I don't
- 9:57Speaker 1: think I've seen a roll with her. And where she's serious?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Was she in five minutes of something like Last Christmas
- 10:05Speaker 1: that I didn't watched Cranberry Christmas.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's sad, no serious.
- 10:10Speaker 1: It's just a little more serious than lighthearted. I wouldn't
- 10:13Speaker 1: say it's sad. It's like a couple who is divorced,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but it's you.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Know, not this new love got it?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Let me put it on my list hair and you
- 10:25Speaker 1: know who did it? Nikki Dilloch, Benjamin a ers h Okay,
- 10:30Speaker 1: no comment, but don't.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Let it meet you're here.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I will agree that did we alread talk about this?
- 10:37Speaker 1: There were some funny things in this movie. I thought
- 10:39Speaker 1: it was pretty funny. Well because when I said it
- 10:42Speaker 1: was very funny, your face went did I say it?
- 10:45Speaker 1: I don't know, like laugh out loud. I thought it
- 10:49Speaker 1: was enjoyable, Hallmark funny. It was Hallmark funny. Yeah, like
- 10:53Speaker 1: when she's like, I live on Dogwood Lane, can't make
- 10:55Speaker 1: this up on I don't remember, Yes, I rewind it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I thought that was lying. We're delivered very naturally, and
- 11:01Speaker 1: I don't think that's necessarily an easy thing to do.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I love Michael Radie. I just find him so charming
- 11:10Speaker 1: and it must be like his boy next door look
- 11:13Speaker 1: or something. At one point he tells her to have
- 11:17Speaker 1: sweet dreams, and I swoon pretty much. I was like,
- 11:22Speaker 1: oh who am I? But yeah, having like an adult
- 11:27Speaker 1: man tells me to have sweet dreams never has happened
- 11:31Speaker 1: in my life. I don't know that everybody could pull
- 11:34Speaker 1: that off. Oh so good. It was real good. I
- 11:38Speaker 1: really connected with Kate's involvement with the PTA because she
- 11:41Speaker 1: goes to this meeting and they're like, you're gonna run
- 11:43Speaker 1: the Silent Auction, and everybody in the PTA knows that
- 11:47Speaker 1: the newcomer shows up and you give them the least
- 11:49Speaker 1: desirable yep job, which is absolutely the silt Auction because
- 11:52Speaker 1: asking people to donate free stuff is a nightmare. And
- 11:56Speaker 1: also the attitude that she's just gonna know what that means,
- 12:00Speaker 1: like you're going to run the silent auction.
- 12:01Speaker 2: They give her no information.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I have had this exact experience where they're like, here's
- 12:06Speaker 1: this very large job, and we're not going to actually
- 12:08Speaker 1: tell you how to do it or how it's been
- 12:10Speaker 1: done in the past. We're going to expect you to
- 12:13Speaker 1: do it to the way we like it done. We
- 12:15Speaker 1: have one on this scriptwriting staff has been in a PTA,
- 12:20Speaker 1: absolutely and I wrote that down. She got bamboozled into
- 12:23Speaker 1: being the silent auction chair. No one wants that job.
- 12:26Speaker 1: If you are not familiar with fundraising activities in the
- 12:30Speaker 1: PTA or any sort of organization where you have to
- 12:33Speaker 1: be a silent chair person, silent auction chair, forget it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Asking for free stuff is the worst.
- 12:39Speaker 1: There baces none of the time they say no, yes,
- 12:43Speaker 1: it's awful. It's just easier to ask people to create
- 12:46Speaker 1: a basket out of their.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Own money and donate it.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Like, I agree, agree. I love when Hallmark gives us
- 12:53Speaker 1: rom coms. Yeah, I like the comms better than the ROMs,
- 12:56Speaker 1: so I find that enjoyable.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I wish this was a rom com for you.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yes, I wish they did more rom coms. Don't you agree? Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't you get tired of the same like.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Love happy ending.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yes I do, and I said, do I so give
- 13:13Speaker 1: me more? I've got too much rom so boring. How
- 13:19Speaker 1: much did you love Kate and Liam the kids? Ye oh,
- 13:26Speaker 1: Kate and her ex husband Liam.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I actually really love them.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I was like, way to show like healthy co parenting. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and they were not just like co parents who tolerated
- 13:37Speaker 1: each other for the sake of their daughter.
- 13:39Speaker 2: They were actually friends, right.
- 13:41Speaker 1: He was totally in her corner, rooting for her. I thought, man,
- 13:46Speaker 1: this is the ex husband. You want what I want
- 13:50Speaker 1: to get divorced and I'm an ex husband like that.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It's not I can't pliment that those were the kids. No, Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: he was a good guy. I liked it.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I did to that.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I like their relationship. I mean, obviously they knew each
- 14:02Speaker 1: other since they were teenagers and so on and so forth,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and they had like a very comfortable relationship. They just
- 14:09Speaker 1: didn't work out as married people. Speaking of the kids,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I didn't hate them in this movie, I wondered, are
- 14:14Speaker 1: you surprised?
- 14:14Speaker 2: I am.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I thought they were both solid actors. Now I need
- 14:19Speaker 1: you to clear this up for me. The girl was ten?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Was the boy ten?
- 14:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I thought he played kind of younger. They didn't seem
- 14:28Speaker 1: to know each other before, so maybe over the dog.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So I assume that they were not like in each
- 14:33Speaker 1: other's class, Okay, because like at one point, he's wearing
- 14:37Speaker 1: like a cape and I was like, doesn't that seem
- 14:39Speaker 1: sort of young for a ten year old?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah? I hear you.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So their relationship was more like brothers who the kids. Yeah, fine,
- 14:48Speaker 1: they weren't peers. Yes. My point is that I feel
- 14:51Speaker 1: like they made him younger than he was. Actually he
- 14:55Speaker 1: might have been ten years old in real life, because
- 14:57Speaker 1: he had like I remember when they were doing like
- 15:00Speaker 1: there are pitches to the parents and the daughter made
- 15:03Speaker 1: a second power point and he had like sketches that
- 15:07Speaker 1: looked like a kindergarten drew. So I hear it just
- 15:12Speaker 1: was weird, that's all. Okay, you know the kids, what
- 15:15Speaker 1: I thought was so funny.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't know if you noticed this.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Often when the kids would leave the frame, they would
- 15:20Speaker 1: like dance out of the frame where they'd do like
- 15:22Speaker 1: a little like move out of the frame. Oh no,
- 15:25Speaker 1: they'd run off and he would do like a karate
- 15:27Speaker 1: kick on the way, or she would leave and her
- 15:29Speaker 1: dad had brought back that like instrument from Balie and
- 15:32Speaker 1: she was like chickshake shake dance, hikeshake shaked.
- 15:35Speaker 2: It like just on their way up kids. Yeah, it
- 15:37Speaker 2: was fun, that's nice.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I said it earlier. But the scenery was stunning, the
- 15:44Speaker 1: huge canopy trees. I want to live here, yes, ma'am?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Can we move to there? Do you want to?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Is Georgia on your husband's list at all? No?
- 15:53Speaker 2: I have been there. It's too hot, too hot, truly.
- 15:56Speaker 1: The hottest I've ever been is the two days I
- 15:59Speaker 1: spent in Atlanta. I've never been hotter in my time. Okay, well,
- 16:02Speaker 1: pass fun, but it was sure.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Party feels like a sausage. Ooh, I don't want to.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Ever feel like that.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yikes, what'd you wish for?
- 16:13Speaker 1: I thought this storytelling was a little uneven. Let me explain.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You have Eric, who's this like type a personality, right,
- 16:21Speaker 1: and then we have Kate who's like this like arty,
- 16:24Speaker 1: free spirited girl. And at the beginning they they show
- 16:28Speaker 1: us like these two personalities clash because remember she's like
- 16:32Speaker 1: he's so friendly with like everybody else, but with me,
- 16:34Speaker 1: he's so like do you remember do you remember this?
- 16:37Speaker 1: And then like all that falls to the wayside, like
- 16:40Speaker 1: it's not even like a part of the story anymore.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It's like shifts to like Eric's dreams of becoming whatever
- 16:48Speaker 1: he wants to be in his professional life. Okay, and
- 16:51Speaker 1: then what turn it Kate's like inability to fall in
- 16:56Speaker 1: love and be a parent at the same time. So
- 16:59Speaker 1: it was like we got two different like it.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Started out one way, but it fully ended the other way.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't I her like adherence to like I'm
- 17:07Speaker 1: not a fan of the rules was like yeah throughout yeah, yeah, yeah, So.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I think they held on to that.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And I think also his like he's like, I got
- 17:16Speaker 1: this job, it serves a purpose. I can't chase my
- 17:20Speaker 1: dream because it's a little scarier than the bird I have.
- 17:24Speaker 2: In my hand.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I think that follows the type a ness of it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: All right, However, put a pin in that, because the
- 17:32Speaker 1: thing that I wished for is that Kate didn't immediately
- 17:34Speaker 1: jump to the end of the world, like this guy
- 17:36Speaker 1: is falling because your kids are like we could have
- 17:38Speaker 1: this dog together.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Eric's.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Not the person needed to have a conversation with. It's
- 17:43Speaker 1: your children need to be like, look back off, we're friends. Yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 1: even if there were a romance here. There's ten steps
- 17:51Speaker 1: between where we are today and this future you've imagined
- 17:55Speaker 1: where we're one big co parenting family with Bruce. That's
- 17:59Speaker 1: who you needed to have the conversation with. Yeah, I agree,
- 18:01Speaker 1: And to the point of their personalities, it seems more
- 18:05Speaker 1: like Eric would be the one who's like, this is
- 18:07Speaker 1: a bad idea.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Rules, rules, rules, when.
- 18:10Speaker 1: She's like, let's just see what could happen. But of
- 18:13Speaker 1: course it feeds into her everything I do. I do
- 18:15Speaker 1: for my daughter. If it was on her before my
- 18:17Speaker 1: own happiness, I just didn't think. I'm watching this happen
- 18:21Speaker 1: and them deciding to go for a relationship, and I'm thinking, oh,
- 18:24Speaker 1: what's going to be the conflict? And then we get
- 18:28Speaker 1: them at the park and she's like, we need to talk,
- 18:30Speaker 1: And I thought, what a total disappointment of a moment.
- 18:36Speaker 1: When she says that to him, I felt it in
- 18:38Speaker 1: my heart, like I've had that heartbreak where you're caught
- 18:42Speaker 1: off guard by the breakup that you didn't see company.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Something else I wish for is could they just.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Have made a decision about the dog?
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, I think it's unfair for an animal to
- 18:57Speaker 1: not have consistency. Yes, I wrote, I wish that I
- 18:59Speaker 1: knew his actual fate, like there's gonna yeah, but they
- 19:04Speaker 1: were married at the end, right, I think I saw
- 19:06Speaker 1: like a wedding ring. It doesn't really matter. The dog rescue,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think put Bruce in a bad position, Like you're
- 19:15Speaker 1: taking this dog who's been in a shelter for an
- 19:18Speaker 1: extended period of time, and you're now going to make
- 19:21Speaker 1: him bounce back and forth between two homes so that
- 19:24Speaker 1: he can find the right foster.
- 19:26Speaker 2: No, I'm sorry, that.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Is a completely weasily way to solve this problem. Also,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I hated the short cartoon, like it wasn't that good, right.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't. I was like, huh, look at this.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I did kind of like a little bit of the
- 19:40Speaker 1: they tried. I don't envy the position there in here,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Like she's an animator. We've got to show her doing
- 19:46Speaker 1: her job, but we're not actually animators, So how.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Do we do this?
- 19:50Speaker 1: I liked that they tried and that we actually got
- 19:54Speaker 1: that like short film at the end and they show.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Like her doing some of the drawing.
- 19:59Speaker 1: But I I agree, it's twenty twenty three.
- 20:03Speaker 2: It wasn't great.
- 20:04Speaker 1: It was not great. My final wish is after the
- 20:09Speaker 1: they premiere the short, they have like a panel and
- 20:12Speaker 1: she decides to turn it into like a therapy session
- 20:15Speaker 1: and talking about love and her love has affected her
- 20:18Speaker 1: and her love is giving up. Yeah, it was funny
- 20:20Speaker 1: because I had forgotten that in that scene they're broken up,
- 20:23Speaker 1: She's like, I've met someone who's changed the way. And
- 20:25Speaker 1: I was like, wait a minute. She broke it off
- 20:28Speaker 1: with him. He's only in the audience. Yes, she invited
- 20:31Speaker 1: him and the kids did their like tribute to get
- 20:33Speaker 1: in there. But I kind of forgotten that moment that
- 20:36Speaker 1: she's just going for it with this person who she's
- 20:38Speaker 1: not even actually dating. So you enjoyed that part then, No,
- 20:42Speaker 1: I was like, what's happening like this?
- 20:44Speaker 2: This is too much.
- 20:46Speaker 1: After the fact, when she and Eric made up, I'm like,
- 20:48Speaker 1: wait a minute, you just had this big moment with
- 20:50Speaker 1: a person that you're not even in a relationship with.
- 20:52Speaker 1: You just declared your love on stage for this man
- 20:54Speaker 1: because she realized that she messed up with breaking it off.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Gotta have that big moment.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah I did. I did not like that, Like I
- 21:01Speaker 1: was thinking, like the host was like, where are you
- 21:03Speaker 1: going with this lady?
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Shut up. We got other people to ask questions too.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Can we move on?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Did you see that please? Speaking of her digital drawing
- 21:12Speaker 1: the frog and the clip art, I don't know what
- 21:15Speaker 1: was happening there, Like, did you see that? It was
- 21:18Speaker 1: fines Yes, it just was like I think there's some
- 21:22Speaker 1: bad animation there where they're like trying to like draw
- 21:26Speaker 1: the parts of the frog that would move.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know how animation works.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I don't either, but they showed her drawing like those
- 21:34Speaker 1: frogs legs over and over.
- 21:35Speaker 2: And over again.
- 21:37Speaker 1: It's weird, weird, and I'm gonna I talked about it
- 21:41Speaker 1: at the top. But when she is pitching to the
- 21:43Speaker 1: PTA meeting about having like a themed carnival.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Where's the money for that coming from?
- 21:49Speaker 1: Right?
- 21:49Speaker 2: For those of us who have been on the PTA
- 21:51Speaker 2: knows how. Yeah, She's like, I'll let you worry about
- 21:53Speaker 2: the budget.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm like, that's all fine and good, but you need
- 21:55Speaker 1: to have money to start with. Yes, exactly. But I
- 21:58Speaker 1: want to point out that her draw were so terrible
- 22:02Speaker 1: for someone who was an artist. Was like, we're gonna
- 22:04Speaker 1: do this Candyland theme and it was like stick figures.
- 22:08Speaker 2: It was she not drawing them on the fly.
- 22:10Speaker 1: No, the second presentation, I don't remember.
- 22:12Speaker 2: She had like a big capoard.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And she was like showing them. Yeah, I's not good.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But see, these are things that I'm paid to look
- 22:19Speaker 1: for in movies. We're just picking, we're picking. I don't
- 22:22Speaker 1: have anything, you have nothing, all right, what do you
- 22:26Speaker 1: give this movie? I gave it four stars. I gave
- 22:29Speaker 1: it three point seven to five. I didn't hate it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I really like Michael Rady and I really liked Nikki Delouche.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I thought they were a great pairing.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I maybe didn't like the story so much. I don't know.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I liked it.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It was comfortable. If it was on, I would fully
- 22:44Speaker 1: put it on like and do things around the house,
- 22:47Speaker 1: especially to hear that Sweet dreams so good. Someone commented
- 22:52Speaker 1: in the IMDb, so nice to see Nikki DeLoach with
- 22:55Speaker 1: someone other than Andrew Walker. But they've only been five
- 22:59Speaker 1: movies other it'll be sick soon. A lot of movies.
- 23:02Speaker 2: It is a lot of movies.
- 23:04Speaker 1: But but but in that same name, I only want
- 23:07Speaker 1: to watch Paul Campbell and Kimberly Sasta together.
- 23:10Speaker 2: They're your one true pairing.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Yeah, like you know, we're in like the olden days
- 23:15Speaker 1: when they would have like movies with like an actor
- 23:18Speaker 1: and an actress like all the time, Yes, kind of
- 23:21Speaker 1: like Cooney and Julia Robbert turn of movies together.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I want Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yes, that's how I feel about Paul Campbell and Kimberly Sustin.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I see that.
