- 0:04Speaker 1: The title of the lesson is Hayyunvina, the glory and
- 0:07Speaker 1: mystery of the Holy Spirit. At first, I would like
- 0:12Speaker 1: to thank you for this honor, an honor that cannot
- 0:14Speaker 1: be described to present to you these messages. Thank you
- 0:17Speaker 1: to Terafis, our supreme leader in this harem, for allowing
- 0:21Speaker 1: me this honor, and also to our sheikhs. And that
- 0:28Speaker 1: feeling still lingers in my mind when I threw my
- 0:30Speaker 1: first dice in 1979. I'm ready for the surprise.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I know, 40 years.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It's a period that takes a while for Moses to
- 0:34Speaker 1: be in the wilderness. And sometimes my dice led me
- 0:37Speaker 1: through similar paths to that. But I remember that first
- 0:52Speaker 1: time I gave it a full lesson, and not just
- 0:53Speaker 1: a lesson in the Bible in a church in Miami, Florida.
- 0:55Speaker 1: While I was sitting in the front seat waiting for
- 0:57Speaker 1: my turn to rise, I thought, do you think these
- 1:00Speaker 1: people are ready to listen to me? And I still
- 1:02Speaker 1: get that idea. I don't know why you do that,
- 1:03Speaker 1: but I'm very happy that you do. Study, topic, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: the character of the Holy Spirit is a special feature
- 1:08Speaker 1: above description. So, I am content to the end. At
- 1:22Speaker 1: the end of this message, we will do what we
- 1:24Speaker 1: have done several times during this series. We will allocate
- 1:26Speaker 1: time for prayer, a collective prayer. We will call any
- 1:28Speaker 1: person who needs a touch of the Holy Spirit, or
- 1:30Speaker 1: wants to accept the Holy Spirit, to move forward and
- 1:32Speaker 1: stand up, and I will offer that prayer. Let us
- 1:34Speaker 1: pray now, then we will start our work. I hope
- 1:36Speaker 1: you will excuse my tired tongue. I hope you will.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We thank you, Lord, for this grace that you have
- 1:51Speaker 1: granted us to be here today. We ask you to
- 1:53Speaker 1: grant the speaker today a great grace. His sins are many.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Help us to see Christ, Christ alone. In the name
- 1:57Speaker 1: of Christ, we pray. And everyone in the church said, Good.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We have not reached the name of the Lord yet.
- 2:04Speaker 1: We were almost in the middle stage. He used to
- 2:42Speaker 1: take us to visit the people who, for whatever reason,
- 2:45Speaker 1: could not go to church that morning. And the people
- 2:48Speaker 1: who wanted to eat the Holy Qur'an. We used to
- 2:50Speaker 1: call them the isolated because they were locked in their homes.
- 2:53Speaker 1: It was a service for the isolated in their homes.
- 2:56Speaker 1: We used to go to visit people in the first
- 2:58Speaker 1: place because of age or health problems. which made them
- 3:07Speaker 1: unable to get out. Most of our visits were held
- 3:09Speaker 1: in a house for cleaning. This house smelled very nice.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I still remember it to this day. It was located
- 3:15Speaker 1: on the outskirts of our small town in western Texas. However,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the patient began to be very happy to see the
- 3:20Speaker 1: teacher of this holy book school and his four little students.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Surah Al-Fatihah The donation box was about the size of
- 3:58Speaker 1: a cigarette box, and it contained bottles and a small
- 4:00Speaker 1: plastic bottle of juice or grape juice, and several plastic cups.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It was a good way to punish the Sunday Mass,
- 4:05Speaker 1: wasn't it? But then the sleeping grandfather's situation happened. I
- 4:09Speaker 1: don't know why, and I don't remember why the teacher
- 4:11Speaker 1: wasn't with us in that Mass. And so we made
- 4:51Speaker 1: our rounds. We were only three that night. We made
- 4:53Speaker 1: our rounds. Things went as planned until we met that
- 4:57Speaker 1: sleeping man. He was asleep in a deep sleep, and
- 5:01Speaker 1: we couldn't wake him up. He must have been in
- 5:04Speaker 1: his eighties. He had his head on his back, his
- 5:07Speaker 1: head on his forehead, and his mouth open on his nostrils.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I know that we should have gone to the hospital
- 5:53Speaker 1: and asked for some help. I know that we could
- 5:54Speaker 1: have left, but I didn't want to know. But by
- 5:56Speaker 1: God's grace, we were there in a sacred mission. I
- 5:59Speaker 1: was commissioned to carry a group of victims. We were
- 6:01Speaker 1: the Protestant version of the executioners. You don't give up
- 6:05Speaker 1: on that mission, do you? His mouth was open on
- 6:52Speaker 1: his lips. You can expect what will happen. She took
- 6:57Speaker 1: the ragiqa. His tongue was there completely. And she put
- 7:07Speaker 1: it on his tongue. He didn't move. The thin girl
- 7:19Speaker 1: did not move. She remained still in her place. I
- 7:21Speaker 1: could see her move a little. Good. That was the
- 7:25Speaker 1: juice of the sacrifice. She spilled a cup. I looked
- 7:30Speaker 1: at my friends and looked at me and we shook
- 7:32Speaker 1: our shoulders. And I thought, good, I think I should
- 7:35Speaker 1: help her pour it. She approached and spilled the contents
- 7:37Speaker 1: of the cup. It did not move at all. It
- 7:39Speaker 1: did not wake up at all. He announces about his
- 9:50Speaker 1: son and then gives life. A complete life, a strong life,
- 10:21Speaker 1: an active life, a renewed life, life itself. Isn't that
- 10:24Speaker 1: what we need? The vast majority of people miss it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: In fact, the vast majority of Christians don't understand it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: A study conducted on people who believe in the Holy Spirit.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I discovered that only one out of four believe that
- 10:51Speaker 1: he is a person. 75% of those who believe in
- 10:52Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit simply describe him as a force, or
- 10:59Speaker 1: a pressure, or a wave of energy. Well, it's not
- 11:01Speaker 1: surprising that it's hard to build a relationship with the
- 11:03Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. I mean, who can be a friend of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the electricity? The personality of the Holy Spirit is a person. Hizqial,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and Hizqial's story can carry this title, a blow to
- 11:55Speaker 1: the bones. To you the reason Hizqial was a radical
- 12:04Speaker 1: prophet of the wide horizon, and he was like a
- 12:07Speaker 1: thorn in the side of Israel in the 6th century BC.
- 12:10Speaker 1: He used to follow them constantly, trying to get them
- 12:13Speaker 1: away from strange idols and head towards their living. They
- 12:17Speaker 1: did not listen. And based on that, the Babylonian nation
- 12:26Speaker 1: attacked their wonderful city and completely destroyed it. Jerusalem was
- 12:32Speaker 1: left in a state of ruin. It will be more
- 12:36Speaker 1: like the fall of Washington, the capital, under the rubble.
- 12:39Speaker 1: The capital was destroyed and the White House was burned.
- 12:45Speaker 1: All the Hebrews, the people of Jerusalem, will go to Babylon.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Fima tabayana annahu sab'una aaman minan nafi. Ha'ulai al-Ibraniyuna allatheena
- 12:58Speaker 1: kanu fakhurina dhatayawmin asbahumuhattimina. Wamin makani nafihim, ilaykum a'lanuhumul musajjala
- 13:06Speaker 1: fi sifri hasqiyal. Qalu, aizamuna yabasat wahalaka rajawna. Lakat dummarna. Ithan,
- 13:19Speaker 1: This was a very dark chapter in the history of
- 13:22Speaker 1: ancient Israel. Again, 587 B.C. This is the time frame here,
- 13:25Speaker 1: six centuries before the birth of Christ. There is a
- 13:27Speaker 1: prophet called Hasqial. And through that prophet, God spoke. And
- 13:30Speaker 1: to you what God said to them. This is what
- 13:32Speaker 1: God speaks. To you what I will do. I will
- 13:33Speaker 1: take you out of this land. O son of Adam,
- 16:11Speaker 1: do these bones live? I have a question for you.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I did not visit the valley that Hesqial visited. But
- 16:28Speaker 1: I sat next to a person on a plane that
- 16:31Speaker 1: told me that his life lost all meaning. I did
- 16:33Speaker 1: not walk in the valley of dead bones. But the
- 19:31Speaker 1: bodies remained lifeless. There was no evidence of heart beating
- 19:34Speaker 1: or breathing. So, Allah commanded Hasqial to make an announcement. declaration.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Then he said to me, Prove to the soul. Prove,
- 19:59Speaker 1: O son of Adam, and say to the soul, Thus
- 20:02Speaker 1: said the Lord, Be gone from the four winds, O sky,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and be gone from those who kill to live. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: am not talking about a long beard or a long hair.
- 24:48Speaker 1: If you want that, no problem. I am not talking
- 24:50Speaker 1: about going to Israel. If you want that, no problem.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I am simply talking about preparing to do what Hezqial did,
- 24:57Speaker 1: which is to go to dry and dead places in
- 24:59Speaker 1: your world. The story of Hasqial in the valley of
- 25:10Speaker 1: the dead bones is dramatic to the extent that we
- 25:13Speaker 1: may forget an amazing element in the miracle, which is
- 25:17Speaker 1: that Hasqial called to call the spirit. The miracle happened
- 25:22Speaker 1: because Hasqial obeyed. It was said to him to prophesy.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And I do not know if that was a source
- 25:30Speaker 1: of his despair or of his spirituality, but he did it.
- 27:53Speaker 1: We invent books such as the seven secrets of the
- 27:56Speaker 1: spirit in the spirit or ten requirements to receive the spirit.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Sacred instructions to receive the holy spirit.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Honestly.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Since the beginning, we have not said that the spirit
- 28:05Speaker 1: is not a computer that needs a software, but it
- 28:11Speaker 1: is simply a person and a relationship that we develop.
- 28:13Speaker 1: A relationship that we develop. Isn't this the point that
- 28:24Speaker 1: Jesus made clear in the Old Testament? Here is our
- 28:26Speaker 1: last point. It is a victory, and they are exhausted.
- 28:29Speaker 1: On the Day of Resurrection, the first Sunday of the Passover,
- 28:36Speaker 1: which makes this the first Passover of the Holy One
- 28:39Speaker 1: at all, Jesus appeared to them in the Old Testament.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I was going to point with a finger or two.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I was going to say, yes, you all promised that
- 29:15Speaker 1: you would be there on Thursday. Where were you on Friday?
- 29:16Speaker 1: I think I was going to blame them. Nothing of
- 29:19Speaker 1: that happened with Jesus. Our precious Jesus always comes in peace.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He always comes in peace. Peace has been granted to them.
- 29:26Speaker 1: He said, peace be with you. He said, peace be
- 29:29Speaker 1: with you. He said this three times in this short interaction.
- 29:41Speaker 1: In verses 19, 20, and 26. Three times in this
- 29:42Speaker 1: short conversation. He says, Peace be with you. But after
- 29:46Speaker 1: he gave them peace. Look what he gives them too.
- 29:48Speaker 1: He gives them a promise of strength. To you he is.
- 29:50Speaker 1: As my father sent me. I send you now. After
- 29:54Speaker 1: he said this. He breathed into them. And he said.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Accept the Holy Spirit.
- 34:17Speaker 3: You don't have to stay close. As long as you're
- 34:30Speaker 3: somewhere out there. That's enough for me.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I don't need to hold you near me.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Don't need promises to keep. Just the thought that you
- 34:47Speaker 3: are breathing Somewhere in this world I see Even if
- 34:53Speaker 3: I'm not beside you Even if you never know There's
- 35:00Speaker 3: a quiet kind of comfort Just in knowing you still
- 35:04Speaker 3: glow I don't need forever I just need you to exist.
- 35:18Speaker 2: You don't have to stay with me.
- 35:21Speaker 3: You don't have to feel the same.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Just as long as.
- 35:26Speaker 3: You're still out there calling softly through my days. You
- 35:32Speaker 3: don't have to look my way. You don't have to
- 35:36Speaker 3: be my home. It's enough to know you're living in
- 35:42Speaker 3: a world I'm not alone. I won't chase you through
- 35:49Speaker 3: the distance. Won't disturb your chosen life. I'll just keep
- 35:56Speaker 3: you in my silence like a star that shines at night.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Through the dark and through the blue.
- 36:09Speaker 4: I still think of you. You don't have to be
- 36:19Speaker 4: my home.
- 36:20Speaker 2: It's enough to know you're living in a world I'm
- 36:23Speaker 2: not alone.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I don't need to be your light I don't need
- 36:59Speaker 3: to cross your mind All I need is just the
- 37:03Speaker 3: truth That you're somewhere Still alive.
- 37:11Speaker 1: You don't have to.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Stay with me You don't have to feel the same
- 37:17Speaker 2: Just as long as you're still out there Calling softly
- 37:23Speaker 2: through my days You don't have to look my way
- 37:28Speaker 2: You don't have to be my home It's enough to
- 37:33Speaker 2: know you're living
- 37:37Speaker 3: In a world I'm not alone.
