1:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Shit 90's shows taught me.
1:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Shit 90's shows taught me was not filmed before live studio audience.
1:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you ready to play another day?
1:32
[SPEAKER_02]: So are we.
1:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to Shit 90's shows taught me.
1:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just darling.
1:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Here with my co-host Sarah Humphrey.
1:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Sarah, how are you?
1:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Jess, I'm good.
1:43
[SPEAKER_03]: You are manifesting as
1:46
[SPEAKER_03]: somebody else though.
1:47
[SPEAKER_03]: So I just don't think that this is the real you.
1:50
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have to go get rat Amy.
1:53
[SPEAKER_03]: See why she would do such a thing.
1:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, rat Amy.
1:57
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I really wish this is one of those times that I didn't, I didn't grab the remote and do the like skip recapt thing.
2:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of wish I had because obviously seeing rat Amy in the previously on like, all right, well we get in
2:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you were such an advocate to get Rat Amy back as a human, do you have any regrets?
2:19
[SPEAKER_03]: It's definitely like, be careful what you wish for, is evil to the core.
2:25
[SPEAKER_03]: I've watched this episode in multiple times.
2:27
[SPEAKER_03]: I still don't know why she did this, besides, I don't either.
2:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, she just is basically like, hmm, sucks to suck.
2:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I put some kind of a hex on her so that
2:41
[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't even understand, like, I guess the hex was so that the moment she stopped thinking about Tara, she turns into a...
2:52
[SPEAKER_02]: uh, whatever her worst nightmare would be, right?
2:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I guess, the situation.
2:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
2:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
2:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I guess like the thing is that she's still mad at Willow for not, um, she asked Willow to come out and play and Willow said no.
3:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to play with you on the playground.
3:12
[SPEAKER_03]: I would rather stay in and be a good little girl.
3:16
[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess that is why Braini is mad at her, but she didn't say that.
3:22
[SPEAKER_02]: No, she really didn't give much of an answer at all as to like, what the reason why behind this.
3:28
[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, it's a Tuesday.
3:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of bored, which actually is valid.
3:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Fair enough, you know, like, listen, I, I didn't mind seeing Raimi to be honest, like, I thought it was kind of a fun little all back.
3:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I just wish,
3:42
[SPEAKER_02]: They've given more of an explanation on the, like, what is your deal?
3:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I think she is.
3:48
[SPEAKER_03]: What the fuck is wrong with Ray Amy, man?
3:50
[SPEAKER_03]: I turned her back.
3:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry I took a while.
3:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't a good witch.
3:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I think that she's mad that like Willow has a lot of power and is being wasted potential.
4:01
[SPEAKER_03]: But then she claims that Willow had more power than everybody else ever.
4:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But it was just like, but once again, Ray Amy, like, you're the natural witch.
4:09
[SPEAKER_03]: So,
4:10
[SPEAKER_03]: If, yeah, the only difference is that Willow studied really hard.
4:15
[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe if you just applied yourself said every parent slash authority figure in the world that has ever spoken to me.
4:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you just applied yourself.
4:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you too could be a powerful witch.
4:27
[SPEAKER_03]: But then again, she spent a lot of time as a rot, so I don't know.
4:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's her deal.
4:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that she's mad that A willow didn't figure out how to turn her out of a rat sooner and B when she forgave her.
4:39
[SPEAKER_03]: She was like, I don't want to be your friend anymore.
4:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Please leave my vicinity forever because you're bad at doing something to me.
4:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe rat A need does have good reasoning.
4:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but also say the reasoning in the episode, which was weird.
4:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's like, if you're just a petty buddy, that's fine.
4:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's fine.
4:58
[SPEAKER_02]: But let us know.
4:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she's like, Kennedy, it's just too much exposition for me to even bother telling you.
5:17
[SPEAKER_03]: that's ever existed.
5:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
5:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give him his skin back.
5:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
5:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
5:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
5:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
5:24
[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess that would be even worse if he came back skinless.
5:29
[SPEAKER_03]: That would be just hair and everybody died.
5:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
5:35
[SPEAKER_03]: But then again, Raimi is not very good wedged because she doesn't study.
5:39
[SPEAKER_03]: So the powerful, powerful for her, she didn't do that.
5:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Even though I was Willow, who manifested anyway, the killer in me.
5:48
[SPEAKER_03]: So we have, I guess, two killers in me.
5:50
[SPEAKER_03]: We have a spike, a spike reference, which we guessed, and then also Willow, because yeah.
5:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
5:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's stick on Willow, because we were already kind of talking about the right Amy of it all.
6:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we basically spend this episode with like, okay, Willow and Kennedy, something going on because like, while all the other potentials are away, Kennedy pretends to be shit.
6:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sick and she stays home and the reason she stays home is because she wants to go on a date with Willow Which is actually pretty funny.
6:22
[SPEAKER_02]: There's like fuck the entire world is about to end and then it relies on us the potentials to save it I got a date to go on
6:32
[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, I only have probably like a hundred and six to two days left to live.
6:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to spend one of those days on a date with it, though, because I find her pretty hot.
6:44
[SPEAKER_03]: But also,
6:46
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like pick the field trip, right?
6:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Like maybe pick the field trip to the crypt for the hundredth time to miss, not being important, like mill the desert.
6:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Which finally, like, I mean, you could pick, exactly.
6:59
[SPEAKER_02]: You could pick a night that's a field trip.
7:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Burst is missing out on a two day camping trip with daddy, jiles, and the other slayers to like maybe meet the first slayer, like maybe learn a thing or two.
7:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe eat a small.
7:13
[SPEAKER_02]: But no, she's like, this, I got this hot red head.
7:16
[SPEAKER_03]: I need to take out on a date and like ask her when she realized she was gay and Oh, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,
7:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're jumping into that.
7:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, playing hokey, the classic, like, put the thermometer under the water and yeah, yeah, everyone has just been like something a brewing between these two and like they have a good time out when they get back, they're like saying good night and they kiss,
8:00
[SPEAKER_02]: And as they're kissing, first of all, very zoomed in on the faces, like I guess they had to, because they're doing this whole worn thing.
8:07
[SPEAKER_02]: But like it was so zoomed in.
8:09
[SPEAKER_02]: And Willow looks like Warren, but she's still Willow, and it's not the first because, you know,
8:22
[SPEAKER_02]: And she thinks this is like, willow thinks that it's her own fault.
8:26
[SPEAKER_02]: She thinks this is like when she made herself invisible to Buffy and Zander.
8:31
[SPEAKER_02]: She thinks that she did this.
8:33
[SPEAKER_02]: So she's like, you know what, I'm going to go figure this out.
8:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry, like all, I'll figure out the situation and Kennedy comes along.
8:42
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is the end up going to the Wicken Group.
8:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they were like,
8:47
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
8:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I love the Coven and I thought they were going to like go to the Coven, but instead they go, this makes no sense there because last that that uh willow was a part of this group.
8:58
[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't do anything.
8:59
[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't they weren't actually practicing witches.
9:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're fake um fake witches.
9:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe rat Amy help them.
9:07
[SPEAKER_03]: along the way because they were fake, which is maybe there was like one fake witch or a real witch amongst the fake, which is, and there was the one that was like, hey, remember me from college from last time, you know, like maybe the fake, which is graduated, and then we got some real witches, or maybe they're just all fake, and
9:25
[SPEAKER_03]: it was right Amy that was doing any positive magic that was going on and they I don't know but I agree with you that's the something that I thought about the when I saw it too I'm like wait weren't these people fake fake witches?
9:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah they weren't like like you said maybe right Amy taught them a thing or two and then right Amy further solidifies her evilness because they like pretend to do a spell to try to like get rid of war in and instead
9:52
[SPEAKER_02]: it basically makes it so that aspects of Warren are flashing in, like, you know, and so Willow is acting like Warren, like she, she like smacks rat Amy and says, like, you stupid bitch or something like, I laugh.
10:11
[SPEAKER_03]: So, was, was, was she actually, or was Warren actually
10:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Was there anything to that?
10:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know it was in my head it was whatever rat Amy, whatever spell rat Amy was pretending to do instead.
10:34
[SPEAKER_02]: She was making it so that Warren would like, you know, aspects of Warren would love show throw.
10:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Still, still rat Amy is doing is what's going on.
10:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
10:45
[SPEAKER_03]: So then I kind of backfire on her because then she got slapped.
10:49
[SPEAKER_02]: to get smacked and we get like willow runs off does like a spell to keep Kennedy from following her Kennedy is like interior getting rat Amy like what's going on how do you know I'm a potential I never told that to you.
11:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, right Amy kind of flubs
11:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, did you think, I guess like you did not think that this was the first still every every single time I see somebody mean a various I'm like, oh, the first but also, uh,
11:21
[SPEAKER_03]: right Amy held hands while doing this fall.
11:23
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, whenever anyone is touched, I'm like, okay, we're good.
11:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Again, hold hands the whole time.
11:27
[SPEAKER_02]: People like every morning, you should have a check.
11:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
11:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone just needs to high five real quick.
11:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
11:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure we're all still real.
11:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Not bad.
11:36
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not bad.
11:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Like we'd ever know, because then we don't have the trials situation which we'll talk about later.
11:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, saw a lot of problems.
11:42
[SPEAKER_02]: It really would.
11:44
[SPEAKER_02]: So meanwhile, then Willow goes to the gun shop.
11:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And she buys a gun and it's like a whole, yeah, basically,
12:01
[SPEAKER_02]: She's going to get this gun.
12:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Kennedy is talking about Amy about, like, why did you do this?
12:07
[SPEAKER_02]: And like you said, it seems like the reason she did it is because like Willow was, you know, evil Willow and still and like was the most powerful witch and like she's little jelly belly, you know, that sort of thing.
12:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Kennedy.
12:24
[SPEAKER_02]: basically she gets zapped by rat Amy into the backyard where the shooting happens.
12:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
12:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It's now we're doing like a reenactment.
12:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, reenactment with Willow as Warren coming in with the gun and thankfully Kennedy is like
12:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I've read so many fairy tales like this saves the day, yeah, that's that.
12:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she's trying to be like because basically, we find out that like the kiss made Willow forget about Tara for a second.
13:04
[SPEAKER_03]: And then that guilt and feeling awful, like manifested into this a little bit.
13:14
[SPEAKER_03]: started to be interested in somebody else and then it feels really guilty.
13:21
[SPEAKER_03]: She's crying.
13:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, I guess I guess like her expressing her feelings about this and also
13:32
[SPEAKER_03]: an additional kiss from Kennedy saved the date.
13:35
[SPEAKER_03]: And also like Kennedy's special willow is very affected by the words.
13:40
[SPEAKER_03]: If you need to get willow to come back from the deep end, all you need to do is give her a monologue.
13:48
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's like, oh, yeah.
13:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like a paragraph on a script.
13:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I will listen to you.
13:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm back, baby.
13:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saved.
14:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what did you think about this hex overall of like the idea of a hex where you're getting punished for being of not grieving someone for like a split second, right?
14:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's the when the hex comes in.
14:18
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure it really is because it's more so like when you're feeling like vulnerable or like open like or so like then you're more susceptible.
14:27
[SPEAKER_03]: to incoming hexes.
14:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I just thought it was interesting.
14:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I wish that it didn't manifest into Warren because I'm so sick of him.
14:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what kind of hex that the actor of Warren put on the writers to be like
14:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Or the loser trio in general, it's like, ring the back, bitch, please constantly.
14:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand how they hypnotize these people to come back so much.
14:52
[SPEAKER_03]: They are, I just thought that it was going to be like a last season.
14:58
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like we constantly see glory all the time or the mayor all the time, the good villains.
15:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Or Adam all the time, or him, like,
15:09
[SPEAKER_03]: or have exams.
15:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like it's not like we see that I don't know how we keep seeing the loser trio constantly.
15:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's one thing.
15:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all the time.
15:22
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like can I get another appearance?
15:23
[SPEAKER_02]: What about another appearance?
15:24
[SPEAKER_03]: He must have something on them, like some sort of good black male material.
15:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
15:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, but I wish it didn't manifest into him.
15:33
[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think it was interesting.
15:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that whenever you, as a villain, are able to manipulate or attack somebody's deepest fears
15:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Something in their subconscious or somebody feel really bad about.
15:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's like really interesting because it ties in psychological trauma as well as any sort of like physical Manifcession especially more in for Willow, right because not only is he the guy that killed her love But then it's the human that she killed, you know like there's like it's layered in that way as well So it's especially brutal
16:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so then maybe it's really, really good.
16:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe like we just need to and we're so mad at the loser show.
16:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just tired of worrying is the thing.
16:23
[SPEAKER_02]: But like I think it's, it's, it's well, like a logically, like it's a good poll, psychologically.
16:29
[SPEAKER_03]: How about, how about, how about if we hadn't seen him?
16:34
[SPEAKER_03]: a billion times prior to the season, how impactful that could have been.
16:39
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a tritian, you know?
16:40
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been like, it's so many times now, where it has like a loss of returning value or whatever the fuck is.
16:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, sentences.
16:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, but like I did, I did think it was like a fun little wrinkle and a fun little like way to get rat any back.
16:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, there was some aspects I liked to it.
17:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Most importantly, well, a couple of things.
17:03
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you feel before most importantly?
17:05
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you feel about the Kennedy and Willow relationship feelings, pairing, I feel fine.
17:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel fine.
17:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I think Kennedy is much different than any other partner Willow has had.
17:20
[SPEAKER_02]: She's very different than Oz and certainly very different from Tara, right?
17:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Tara was very shy and submissive and very, you know,
17:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I think Tara was much more like a sitting weight girly and like Kenny is a I'm gonna get what I want I'm gonna ask the hard questions.
17:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm she's like very she's the pursuer and I think part of that is and I don't know that we know the age
17:48
[SPEAKER_02]: difference here but presumably Kennedy is younger than Willow and I think you can kind of feel that energy like she's a bit looser.
17:57
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like not that they're different generations because a few years doesn't do that but like it really feels like the difference between like millennial and gen Z to me you know where it's just like bitches going after what she wants.
18:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and I think I don't think Kennedy is
18:13
[SPEAKER_02]: like, well, those forever person.
18:16
[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think she's a great stepping stone to like move it, not moving on, but like, you know, forgiving herself for Tara's death and like the first relationship she will have post, Tara, I think it makes sense that it would be Kennedy.
18:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
18:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Well said, I agree with you.
18:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that I think that it's a good transition person or like a stepping stone rebound, because that's not what it is.
18:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I know you mean, it's like a next step of the right direction.
18:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, it's like I, she needs somebody like a little bit fun, definitely somebody different.
18:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Like we can't be doing somebody that's like exactly like Tara.
18:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I think like her forever person probably is somebody more like Tara, maybe, you know, just like she needs somebody to, but I mean, I don't know, I think that I think she is, I don't, I don't mind, I don't mind the pairing.
19:28
[SPEAKER_03]: because I did, I didn't, what was I supposed to see?
19:31
[SPEAKER_03]: She was wearing a necklace, and the necklace was the Pisces symbol.
19:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Aw shit, okay.
19:40
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, that was what I wanted to share.
19:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And we know what willow is.
19:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember if we know.
19:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was.
19:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Boo!
19:48
[SPEAKER_03]: When is Willow's birthday?
19:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know that we know.
19:53
[SPEAKER_02]: We're not now.
19:55
[SPEAKER_02]: I know we know Buffy's birthday,
19:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Capricorn?
20:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
20:01
[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
20:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
20:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I know that for a fact.
20:06
[SPEAKER_03]: It's never stated.
20:07
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so probably Capricorn, though.
20:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't know.
20:12
[SPEAKER_03]: No, Willow's.
20:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Willow's, you think that was the Capricorn, too?
20:19
[SPEAKER_02]: No, wait, who was born in January?
20:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Buffy is born in January.
20:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, apologies.
20:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you were saying, Willow, OK.
20:26
[SPEAKER_02]: So we don't know anything about Willow's birthday.
20:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I do not know anything about Willow's birthday.
20:31
[SPEAKER_03]: He's not stated.
20:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know what, I don't know what vibe she gives me.
20:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I could see an air sign.
20:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yep.
20:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Like a curious type of thing.
20:43
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like that.
20:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Gemini, dark willow and regular willow.
20:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yep.
20:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Could be, yeah, I like this pairing.
20:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's like a fun transitional pairing.
20:55
[SPEAKER_02]: At the very least, I think both of us have always agreed.
20:58
[SPEAKER_02]: these people can't take normies like you need to date within the weirdo circle and so it makes sense that she would be with someone who's a potential or another witch you know like it it makes sense um... speaking of the potentials let's talk about the jiles field trip um... now i don't remember do you recall what which episode was it that ended with jiles and the acts behind him and all that you remember
21:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Like how many episodes ago was that for you?
21:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't it the season premiere?
21:33
[SPEAKER_02]: That feels like a bit a long time.
21:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it was that long ago.
21:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I can try to look it up.
21:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, we get like, oh my gosh, is, is jials?
21:48
[SPEAKER_02]: The child's actually dead and the first has taken him over because the Scoobies get after Giles leaves on the field trip with the potentials.
21:58
[SPEAKER_02]: The Scoobies get a phone call from the British dude that was almost killed but Giles saved.
22:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Basically being like, hey, when I woke up, Giles wasn't there.
22:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And so they're all worried that Giles has that the first dressed as Giles has lowered the potentials out into the desert to kill them.
22:22
[SPEAKER_03]: would have been a good plan.
22:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the first needs to get creative like that.
22:28
[SPEAKER_03]: But I really sat there and been like, oh, like, do I remember him hugging anybody?
22:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Do I remember him touching anything?
22:36
[SPEAKER_03]: And I would not be surprised if the show purposely did not have him do that for people like us or people that
22:45
[SPEAKER_03]: like the show to go back and like see like oh like did he do like did he touch anything did he and I wouldn't be surprised if he like literally didn't if that was something like a directional like Easter egg to be like okay um
23:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Anthony Stewart head says name do not touch a thing like we're going to put this like in the future we're going to do this like little bit and that would be really cool to go back and see because I like I said I wouldn't be surprised if they purposely left that out.
23:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I looked it up and it was the end of season seven episode eight.
23:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So I was like, yeah, like, 13 episodes ago.
23:31
[SPEAKER_02]: It was long enough ago where it was like, we would have forgotten or been like, yeah, wait a minute.
23:37
[SPEAKER_02]: But because the other thing this could be, he's saying is like, well, he never told us about that, like what's the situation?
23:44
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's where it is, but we're too buffy and not them.
23:50
[SPEAKER_02]: That's true, because she's,
23:53
[SPEAKER_02]: not that right she's done with the spike stuff this whole episode so she's out there were you uh where did you fall when when where you like where you like oh my god jiles is dead and this is the first or were you like nah it's just a red herring
24:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, maybe I was tricked a little bit, like I don't know because I once again I started racking my brain and like do I remember him touching anybody hugging anybody like one was last time I remember because the image that popped up in my mind was when he was hugging both him, um, Buffy and Ania and I was like, no, that wasn't this season.
24:30
[SPEAKER_03]: That was last season.
24:31
[SPEAKER_03]: So I definitely was trying to remember I think that it kind of would have been
24:38
[SPEAKER_03]: an interesting twist, but of course I'm relieved that he's not done.
24:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think I mostly was like, now this is a red herring, and honestly for more of a meta-perspective of I'm like they're not going to kill jiles in that way where it's we're not going to get to like experience it like um the end of last season right where we're like oh my god are they about to kill jiles with on your like over to over him like you know that moment that would have been like a
25:07
[SPEAKER_02]: a proper sendoff for the character of Giles versus like, oh, he's dead off screen and then like the ghost of Giles, you know what I mean?
25:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I just didn't think it was probably going to go that way.
25:19
[SPEAKER_02]: And I did really enjoy the scene where like, they do catch up to Giles in the desert tackle him and they all start touching him and I love him like yelling at Andrew, like we don't know each other well.
25:35
[SPEAKER_03]: And you're such a low creep, but yeah, I did.
25:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I will say not that I enjoying him, but I do enjoy the like them trying to leave him behind Because he's so fucking annoying not because they're worried he's gonna do something, but because he's so fucking irritating they don't want him in the car
25:54
[SPEAKER_03]: They do, I think they're doing a good job with him.
25:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I think that they, honestly, I still don't hate Andrew and I, or I now not hate Andrew, I think they're doing a good job of being like, we know this guy's annoying, like let's play into this so that we can all get a good hate into him.
26:13
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that the actor plays it really well to make it.
26:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what does he want to play?
26:19
[SPEAKER_02]: The license plate game in the car and like,
26:22
[SPEAKER_02]: game he was trying to play with them too.
26:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it's just like shot up Andrew, like everybody can kind of hate on Andrew, which makes it kind of fun.
26:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Like if we're all united in like being like this guy is so stupid and annoying, then it's less, it's less bad.
26:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Where you grow our anti-car game.
26:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'm when I was a kid I was very I was pro like not like I hate being roped into games like that's the thing like I hate being roped into games.
26:58
[SPEAKER_03]: But if it's not competitive then I'll like
27:02
[SPEAKER_03]: For example, I hate, like my name is Sarah and like I like apples.
27:08
[SPEAKER_03]: My name is Sarah and I like apples and bananas.
27:11
[SPEAKER_03]: My name is Sarah and I like apples and bananas and carrots.
27:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I hate that because it's just like.
27:18
[SPEAKER_03]: because if I forget then I feel stupid and that's why I don't like games is because like it's so easy for you to feel stupid when you can't figure something out or somebody else like I don't want to feel dumb so but like being like oh like I see like Hawaii like do you what do you like a collaborative thing where we're all trying to find something I don't mind that
27:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, have a, of course you like car games and I think I'm going to ask you if fucking doorcasts.
27:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I, uh, I don't really like the license plate game, especially because Andrew's trying to play it in like the dark, which really doesn't make a ton of sense to me, um, because you're just making it way more difficult.
28:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would say the car games I tend to play are more like in the vein of 20 questions versus like a 20 like you have like a I'm thinking of an actor and then you have like 20 questions to do.
28:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you ever heard of fishbowl?
28:21
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's kind of like a dictionary, but like it's like basically put like a bunch of words into a fish bowl and then there's like seven different steps I got roped into that last.
28:34
[SPEAKER_03]: New years and I was just like my life like it's like there's like you are working with like a pot of like 20 words and like you do a round where you're like doing charades and then you do a round where you just say like one word and you have to guess
28:52
[SPEAKER_02]: like whatever it's it's I feel like we did that didn't we do that it came once when we had like of group of friends at or at my parents.
29:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm done.
29:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm done.
29:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm done.
29:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that.
29:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember this where it was like we were like okay we're gonna do charades and so it has to be like
29:13
[SPEAKER_02]: And has to be like a person, yes, there was like a cut.
29:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and I pretty sure was your team did things that were not at all in the category.
29:21
[SPEAKER_02]: And our team was like, what the fuck is happening?
29:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I hate trades.
29:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Like that is actually, oh God, I is literally my worst nightmare.
29:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And when people are like, can we play trades?
29:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I, you're like, can we just talk instead?
29:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it is honestly my worst nightmare.
29:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I hate it so bad and then like I get like roped into it and I'm like please like can I just not play and then I'm called like a party pooper and just like I
29:52
[SPEAKER_03]: I will not consider, like if you guys play, I won't say, I won't make a peep.
29:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll watch, I'll laugh, like, I'll be a good time with you guys, like, I'll cheer.
30:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't make me do it.
30:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't make me do it, and I'm always roped into it, like, what the fuck, man?
30:10
[SPEAKER_03]: They've been alone.
30:11
[SPEAKER_03]: They're life is so hard.
30:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes when I have to play games, yeah?
30:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
30:19
[SPEAKER_03]: But...
30:21
[SPEAKER_03]: but just looking at license plates, that's easy.
30:25
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's boring, like what's the fun like that?
30:27
[SPEAKER_03]: No, there's New Jersey, woo, like who cares.
30:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Cause...
30:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you're just trying to check off all of them, and that's fun.
30:36
[SPEAKER_02]: And not like something that's going to take up all your time.
30:39
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, how many, are you passing cars that frequently?
30:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I have an idea when you're in the car.
30:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Why do we have to play fucking games?
30:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Can't we just listen to music or take a nap?
30:49
[SPEAKER_02]: We can do that.
30:50
[SPEAKER_02]: We can do that too.
30:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to.
30:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't want the driver doing the driver is just sitting by them sitting to a podcast listening to music talking Yeah, to themselves I don't know.
31:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I would just be like, no, I don't want to do this at all Anyway, jiles is real jiles is himself.
31:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank goodness Problem averted crisis averted.
31:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um
31:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Our last storyline, we have is a spike in the chip and buffy, where it seems like, which was so, oh my god, I thought this was so funny when I started the episode and Riley was in the preview, again, previously on buffy from season four.
31:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what is previously yeah, what is what do you mean previously previously three seasons ago?
31:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, or do you think them Riley was coming in and you're like, last episode I literally was like, I don't think we're gonna see Riley again and then missy Riley in the previous and I was like, oh my gosh.
31:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I don't think we'll see the character.
32:01
[SPEAKER_02]: And then when we saw the initiative, I was like, oh shit, is he about to like, step out from behind these people?
32:07
[SPEAKER_02]: But no, it was just like, people were speaking through him.
32:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Where was he doing that he could not come?
32:14
[SPEAKER_02]: What was the actor doing?
32:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, truly.
32:15
[SPEAKER_02]: What was he up to?
32:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I better think to do about it.
32:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Who's it Anthony Blouse was that his name?
32:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Anthony?
32:20
[SPEAKER_02]: You remember his fucking name?
32:22
[SPEAKER_02]: That's incredible.
32:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Because I couldn't.
32:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I couldn't tell you anything.
32:29
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like an Aaron.
32:31
[SPEAKER_03]: He does.
32:33
[SPEAKER_03]: His name, where is your name?
32:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Mark Blucas.
32:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you were close.
32:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I get to see a mark.
32:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Mark, Mark Blucas.
32:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Mark with the sea.
32:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
32:46
[SPEAKER_03]: He's really good looking.
32:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, these pictures of him.
32:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Man, he's hot.
32:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
32:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, anyway, despite Chip keeps not functioning and he's basically like it's like frying his brain and giving him nose bleeds and all this other stuff and so Buffy is like I got a call Riley so she tries to call like a florist and leave a message for Riley, but the florist is like we don't know what you're talking about.
33:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
33:11
[SPEAKER_03]: We've heard these people before.
33:13
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's interesting.
33:14
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a funny interaction and we're buffed.
33:16
[SPEAKER_03]: It was like wait.
33:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you actually florist or is this parv like the thing?
33:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I'd probably say that.
33:24
[SPEAKER_03]: But the message was sent to Riley.
33:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And Riley did wind up saving the day.
33:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you Riley for being the perfect man that you are for showing up even though you're married to Sam and you're busy and you're probably
33:37
[SPEAKER_03]: in the rainforest still, and he sent the initiative, they got attacked, there are some kick-y punchy, because we always do have some kick-y punchy.
33:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there was a whole thing of, like, Buffy and Spike go back to where the initiative was to try to, like, see if there's drugs, or any sort of sign of anything that can help them, and they get attacked in this whole situation, but they do end up within the initiative facilities,
34:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, they like, huge fight blah, blah, blah, no one cares, uh, and that's when the initiative is like, we're here, um, and they're basically like, listen, spikes chip is malfunctioning.
34:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And Riley gave us instructions, Buffy, to let you choose, but he's like in what he wants.
34:29
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't care about his body autonomy because he's
34:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and we're gonna let you choose, do you want to remove the chip or repair the chip?
34:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that is a, that's a tough one, honestly.
34:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Now we don't know how, we, we, we in the episode without knowing.
34:51
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think we should put in our formal predictions.
34:54
[SPEAKER_02]: I think.
35:00
[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay.
35:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And she, her first job in the world, is to be a projector.
35:07
[SPEAKER_03]: So you would think that she would want it to be repaired, however, she kind of loves him and he's been trying to get the chip removed for a really long time.
35:19
[SPEAKER_03]: And he would be really, really, really, really upset with her if he found out that she
35:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel as though she is going to tell them to not put the chip back in.
35:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so remove it.
35:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Remove the chip.
35:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I tend to agree with you because he has a soul now.
35:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think that
35:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Or, or I think the other thing that could happen is, if she's able to get him conscious before they do this, now ask him what he wants.
35:54
[SPEAKER_02]: No, they have to do it right now, right now.
35:56
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't give a choice.
35:56
[SPEAKER_03]: You didn't give us the answer right now.
35:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Right now, right now, right now.
35:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think she's going to move it.
36:01
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there's many reasons.
36:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, he has a soul now.
36:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, she loves him.
36:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Number three, he's going to spin off to Angel and it would be helpful if he could hurt humans.
36:11
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think probably removal.
36:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to end up getting.
36:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because I, well, unless she replaces it and then that is going to be like, I don't love you anymore because you went away.
36:27
[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that she's going to be like, don't replace it.
36:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
36:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see, they have some moments yet again, this episode, but they're like thin next to each other and it's like, any culture, pet, and all this other shit, whatever, whatever.
36:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that's probably what's gonna end up happening.
36:45
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so funny to me that we have the initiative back in season seven.
36:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's so silly, it's so silly.
36:50
[SPEAKER_03]: I also think that as we're like in the last season, we really are getting like,
36:56
[SPEAKER_03]: everything and everybody that we could possibly get back.
37:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's just like what they're doing.
37:03
[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay because I have the memories of Riley and also I have the satisfaction of knowing for a fact that Riley was a better fit for puppy than Spike was or could ever be.
37:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And that feels good because I am still
37:22
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just frothy.
37:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care if he had like a little problem with the I don't know.
37:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care about his problems.
37:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I like him and I was right this is what I said care about his problems.
37:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you
37:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so looking like we're either going to get a fixed chip or no chip at all, next episode with Spike, so we'll see what happens there.
37:47
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was kind of everything from the episode of Buffet, right?
37:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to see if anything else happened.
37:54
[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was okay.
37:55
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a fine episode.
37:55
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a fine.
37:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
37:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I think I thought it was fine.
37:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like doing a job.
38:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's where no large complaints is where I'm at.
38:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
38:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, onto our little courty's corner, angel.
38:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
38:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Where do those idiots doing?
38:13
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a big episode.
38:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh boy.
38:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
38:16
[SPEAKER_02]: So salvage is the name of the episode.
38:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so, uh, we basically start the episode.
38:24
[SPEAKER_02]: So Lila is dead.
38:25
[SPEAKER_02]: If we have, we already knew this.
38:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I told you last time.
38:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I remember 40 kilter and it's revealed that like, oh, 40 new that Angel was Angel is still anyway.
38:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So Angelus finds Lila dead and then is like about to start drinking her blood when Wesley and Gunn like find him.
38:47
[SPEAKER_02]: So they assumed that he's the one who killed Lila.
38:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And then they're basically like, well, we've got to to capitate her because it's possible he could have turned her.
38:59
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know.
39:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So of course, Wesley has to be the volunteer because, oh, no, he fucked her a lot.
39:06
[SPEAKER_02]: And like, I guess kind of loved her.
39:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So he's off doing that for a lot of the episode and a lot of the episode for him is like,
39:16
[SPEAKER_02]: like she's talking to him, like he's like envisioning what she would be saying to him.
39:21
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm loved means I'm sick of that, but okay.
39:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Literally no one cares.
39:26
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't end up taking her head off.
39:27
[SPEAKER_02]: It's fine.
39:29
[SPEAKER_03]: That's rough for Wesley.
39:30
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, he had to take habitate the person that he was like having school girl antics with.
39:36
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's rough for Wesley.
39:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, Lauren is like, listen, let's try to do a spell to protect the hotel.
39:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's the same spell that is in like the club or whatever, remember like no one's allowed to fight there.
39:51
[SPEAKER_02]: So they work on a spell to do that and, and it's like, it's like, time to go bar hop in bed.
40:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So he goes to a demon bar, immediately kills a bed.
40:03
[SPEAKER_02]: She was like, coming on a little too strong to him, which I actually thought was pretty funny.
40:09
[SPEAKER_02]: And Connor is so fucking over it.
40:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Connor is like, I'm going to kill my dad.
40:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, enough is enough.
40:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to kill him.
40:20
[SPEAKER_02]: And as he's about to leave to go kill and jealous, Courtney's like, oh, and she like faints.
40:26
[SPEAKER_02]: So he, of course, like stays to take care of her,
40:39
[SPEAKER_02]: part of me was so upset.
40:42
[SPEAKER_02]: What happens?
40:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Because we flash over to a prison.
40:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Where?
40:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Faith.
40:53
[SPEAKER_02]: It gets attacked by an inmate who has a dagger that I think looks very much like the knife than the islas guys have.
41:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Which again makes sense there because we've been saying why the fucker than I'll worry about faith like all people you know.
41:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
41:10
[SPEAKER_02]: She's not like where can we find her but she even a prison like we're right there.
41:14
[SPEAKER_03]: A sitting duck essentially.
41:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, faith is, she's so fucking cool.
41:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I really can't, she's so fucking cool.
41:21
[SPEAKER_02]: As this is happening, she's doing like pull-ups outside because she's like one prison is a little workout, you know, she's that bitch.
41:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she's doing the pull-ups.
41:28
[SPEAKER_02]: And this bitch tries to come up behind her and stab her and she does like a spiny kick thing.
41:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Fucking beats this bitch up.
41:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and one of the guards is like, yeah, no, I did see everything.
41:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what kind of moron would attack you.
41:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, it was very funny.
41:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so then basically Wesley is like, after he takes the axe to a lieless head is like, well,
41:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I know someone who can help us, like we need to get angels sold back.
42:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So he goes to visit faith in prison pretending to be her lawyer.
42:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And she's just like, bitch, contact me in a few decades when I'm like on parole, like not the time.
42:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're doing the whole, like, you know, phone with the glass.
42:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
42:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
42:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and then he's like, well, TBD or no TBD.
42:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Beatty Dubs, Angelus is back.
42:22
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's all faith needs to hear and she's like stand back.
42:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're all through the glass.
42:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Takes out a couple of guards and off they go.
42:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, but how and what is Faith gonna do to get his soul back?
42:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the thing.
42:40
[SPEAKER_02]: She, I think it's, you know, faith.
42:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Like she doesn't have a plan right away, but in her mind, Angel was the one who didn't give up on her.
42:48
[SPEAKER_02]: So she's not gonna give up on her.
42:49
[SPEAKER_02]: She needs to save God at, yeah.
42:51
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you really understand this show.
42:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they literally laid out like that in the show.
42:59
[SPEAKER_02]: This is okay.
42:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Just being, yeah, they, I thought that you just came up with that.
43:03
[SPEAKER_03]: And literally, I'm pretty sure verbatim, she says.
43:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, wow, Jess, like, you really have a good understanding.
43:09
[SPEAKER_02]: It's between the lines of Angel.
43:11
[SPEAKER_02]: So they're doing the whole thing.
43:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I love, I don't know why it always cracks me up when in shows.
43:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, someone's like driving in the frenzy and someone else is like changing in the back.
43:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but that's what they're doing and he's like, oh, are you sure you're not at a practice and so they like stop and she's like, where are we and then a vampire tries to like grab her to the car and she takes him down like boom, boom, boom, boom, like so quickly.
43:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so she's not at a practice.
43:34
[SPEAKER_02]: No, she's talking ready for this.
43:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, faith walks into the hotel and immediately is like, bam, you're Fred, bam, you're Connor, bam, you know, she know she knows she know well,
43:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And faith is basically like, I'm in charge now.
43:54
[SPEAKER_02]: In case you hadn't heard, I'm a slayer, I'm a boss bitch, I've been in prison, I've seen things, I'm in charge.
44:01
[SPEAKER_02]: And I was here for it.
44:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And little baby bitch Connor, he was like, why do you, I don't even know you.
44:07
[SPEAKER_02]: He's so annoying, he truly is the fucking worst.
44:10
[SPEAKER_02]: And faith makes it so very clear to Connor.
44:16
[SPEAKER_02]: We're not killing your father, we're rescuing him.
44:19
[SPEAKER_02]: So as long as it's okay with you, that's what we're going to do.
44:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And so they go out patrolling, trying to find Angelus.
44:26
[SPEAKER_02]: And the first vampire they run into, Connor immediately decopitates him and faith reads between the lines and she's like, you thought that was him.
44:33
[SPEAKER_02]: What did I fucking tell you?
44:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, bitch, I don't know you.
44:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I know Angel.
44:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So if I'm choosing between the you and him, I'm going to choose him and I'm going to fucking kill you.
44:44
[SPEAKER_02]: So you can stop being a baby bitch and help out or you can go back to the hotel and go and time out.
44:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Like a little baby that you are.
44:50
[SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't say the baby so much, but I do because he's fucking irritating.
44:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
44:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
44:55
[SPEAKER_02]: So.
44:57
[SPEAKER_02]: um Angel or Angelus over here's from like the demon bar people that like oh there's a slayer down so he does a quick a little uh what's it called phone photo phone phone boost um boost yeah phone booth call back to Sunnydale and it's like oh hey it's on it's me is buffy there oh she's in town okay bye
45:18
[SPEAKER_03]: He knows, he knows it's based, because Bobby's not, Bobby's still in Sunnydale.
45:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
45:24
[SPEAKER_02]: So then we have like a whole situation where, like, now Angelus knows that faith is in town.
45:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And Connor, Connor is back at the hotel.
45:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And Wesley and Faith are in this like factory because they're trying to find the trying to find we in jealous faith finds in jealous, but also finds the boost now earlier in the episode
45:58
[SPEAKER_02]: hold on.
45:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me find them on the wiki because I'm trying to remember when this happens.
46:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not.
46:02
[SPEAKER_02]: This is absolutely eight hours long.
46:03
[SPEAKER_02]: It does just a lot that happens.
46:04
[SPEAKER_02]: There's even more.
46:05
[SPEAKER_02]: They're two big, like, whoo, moments I haven't gotten to.
46:06
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I know.
46:06
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a lot, it's a lot.
46:07
[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, right.
46:07
[SPEAKER_02]: When, uh, when, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
46:22
[SPEAKER_02]: and jealous bumps into the beast like in this same warehouse the area and they have a little like, maybe a bit, no, I'm the best, no, I'm the best, no, I'm the best, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
46:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Fucking Cordelia walks out of the shadows and it's like I'm disappointed in you Beasty boy and the beast apologizes to mother and then she's like it's okay and then she kisses him She kisses the beast and it's foul because he's like not up he's like gross looking you know Like I don't know how they did this because but it was disgusting so it's a revealed that Cordelia is the master But we're all like what is happening?
47:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I
47:18
[SPEAKER_02]: As much as I'm watching the show and trying to process it, I don't understand why Cordelia is the master of the beast.
47:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Like is she being controlled by the powers that be because she used to be like a higher power, right?
47:29
[SPEAKER_02]: So like I think it has something to do with that, but I truly don't know.
47:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So she came back and she was evil.
47:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe making out what the beast and like freeing and jealous and like all this stuff.
47:44
[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, back to our warehouse scene, right?
47:46
[SPEAKER_02]: We have faith, center, in jealous one side, beast the other side.
47:50
[SPEAKER_02]: And jealous is basically like height man on the side of the ring, like, oh, hit him, oh, get him, cause faith and BC are like fighting.
47:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
48:00
[SPEAKER_02]: And, face this kind.
48:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Man, this guy is he's punching her through things constantly.
48:06
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
48:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's she goes through a box and then she goes into a pillar and then it's she's getting thrown all over the place.
48:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
48:13
[SPEAKER_02]: And Angel While the beast is distracted fighting faith takes that dagger that the beast he had like made from himself or something to give to his master And he stabs the beast with it and destroys him.
48:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh drawing the beast he makes the sun come back out in L.A.
48:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So everyone's like so happy
48:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, her on.
48:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
48:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and he's like all taunting faith and faith takes this like chain hanging from the ceiling swings it hits a window brings in the sunlight.
48:44
[SPEAKER_02]: So Angel is has to like run away.
48:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and he could get hurt.
48:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right, right, good job.
48:49
[SPEAKER_02]: So everyone at the hotel is like, yeah, sun is back, yay.
48:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, oh my god, faith is such a badass.
48:55
[SPEAKER_02]: How, yeah, she must be getting angel back any second now because she's such a cool badass.
49:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So a fucking course, Connor's like, where's Cordelia?
49:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Did she know yet?
49:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, oh, she's up in her room.
49:06
[SPEAKER_02]: So Connor's like, I'm going to go tell her because I'm a good little boy.
49:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So he runs up the stairs to tell Cordelia.
49:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Cordelia has like, you know.
49:14
[SPEAKER_02]: pissed face on because she's like actually mad because yeah, whatever.
49:17
[SPEAKER_02]: He's willing to do that.
49:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
49:20
[SPEAKER_02]: So Connor comes in and tells her the good news and she's like, wait a minute before you do this, come sit down.
49:28
[SPEAKER_02]: And do you remember how last time we were on the podcast?
49:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, by the way, I totally realized that charisma carpenter is pregnant because I just can tell.
49:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I can only guess.
49:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
49:39
[SPEAKER_02]: They decided to weave that story line.
49:42
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
49:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And so she takes Connor's hand and it's like, I'm pregnant with our baby.
49:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And now we have to be together.
49:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, why is he standing on her stomach?
49:54
[SPEAKER_02]: It like kisses him.
49:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I was literally like, oh, maybe I do want to watch this.
50:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Now you don't know.
50:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Now I don't.
50:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:05
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
50:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
50:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah.
50:11
[SPEAKER_02]: That's how we end the episode.
50:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and how do you feel about this?
50:17
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, faith, I was upset because I'm like, really, they're putting her on angel, not buffy, but like, I'm happy to see her.
50:24
[SPEAKER_03]: So that was a net positive for me.
50:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Cordelia being the Beast Master is more just confusion.
50:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand what's happening there.
50:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's kind of cool.
50:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm like, middleing on that one.
50:35
[SPEAKER_02]: But then, cordy being pregnant with Conor's baby.
50:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Allegedly.
50:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Allegedly.
50:42
[SPEAKER_02]: We did see her stomach her pregnant stomach, which is it is it is an angel is it be no again this could be like a Darlah weirdo pregnancy situation right No, kill me.
50:54
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I hate this like I hate this so much.
50:56
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so yucky.
50:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I never wanted to see them kiss again and here they are make it out.
51:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh They made out okay at the end of the episode.
51:03
[SPEAKER_02]: It was awful on a hate of it.
51:05
[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
51:05
[SPEAKER_03]: So that was episode um crazy shit
51:09
[SPEAKER_03]: That sounds crazy.
51:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Saming my faith is going to be here for a minute though.
51:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
51:14
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, she, you know, her job's not done yet.
51:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, it's still angel.
51:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
51:19
[SPEAKER_02]: All angel is still angelist.
51:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's kind of cool.
51:23
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, get to our prison.
51:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel as though there's still hope for her to go to Buffy.
51:27
[SPEAKER_03]: The negotiations are still underway.
51:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Please, God, yeah, we need this.
51:32
[SPEAKER_02]: So those were our, those were our episodes.
51:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
51:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what the fuck's going to happen.
51:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand.
51:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, if, okay, if I'm not, if I'm supposed to know, why cordy is doing what she's doing, then please let me know because I am like loss.
51:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if this is again.
51:54
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
51:55
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm sure you would know.
51:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure you would know.
51:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
52:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.
52:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, right.
52:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Why are the next episodes called?
52:05
[SPEAKER_02]: So for Buffy, season seven episode 14, first date.
52:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Buh, Kennedy and Willow.
52:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably.
52:14
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like in Buffy, if you now, let's chipless or something, it'd be weird.
52:17
[SPEAKER_03]: They really have their first date, Kennedy and shrimp, but yeah.
52:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Angel, season four episode 14, release, releasing the soul.
52:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
52:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, they found in Conor's room.
52:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Surprise!
52:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
52:35
[SPEAKER_02]: We go now.
52:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, also very fun and funnily.
52:39
[SPEAKER_02]: We did also get an email, not at all related to Buffy.
52:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but it is so funny.
52:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I have to read it.
52:45
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's from Rowan.
52:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I'm a little behind.
52:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I know this is nothing to do with the Buffy of it all.
52:50
[SPEAKER_02]: But since it keeps getting brought up, I have to say something.
52:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Or oh, bug the hell out of me.
52:55
[SPEAKER_02]: What?
52:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, this is in reference to the Titanic scene with the door.
53:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
53:02
[SPEAKER_02]: The issue with the door is not the square footage.
53:05
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the amount of weight it will bear before sinking below the surface.
53:08
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're a submersion freezing water, you'll freeze to death a lot faster than if you're in the freezing air.
53:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Jack is sacrificing himself to keep rose out of the water.
53:16
[SPEAKER_02]: If he gets up on that door and it sticks below the surface, even partially, they're probably will both die before they can be rescued.
53:22
[SPEAKER_02]: The more you know, thank you for the podcast.
53:24
[SPEAKER_02]: It is delightful.
53:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll add my voice to the course of those things season four of angels rough and you just have to power through But season five is actually really good What do you make of that Sarah?
53:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know physics is this a physics thing?
53:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I Feel as though it makes sense it depends on how heavy that door is like
53:40
[SPEAKER_03]: What do other situations is like, yeah, they could have tried a little bit.
53:44
[SPEAKER_03]: And then if it starts to sing like, okay, good, I'll put out, but I don't know, because she has to keep dry is the thing.
53:50
[SPEAKER_03]: If she gets her clothes a little bit with and Rowena sings, she's fucked.
53:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's like so much other debris in the area.
53:58
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't know.
54:00
[SPEAKER_03]: She's a giant ship that just exploded with an iceberg.
54:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But also he's already in the water.
54:06
[SPEAKER_02]: So he has time to get out of the water.
54:08
[SPEAKER_03]: No, but that's the thing.
54:10
[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't the water, too.
54:11
[SPEAKER_03]: It's only she didn't get wet.
54:12
[SPEAKER_02]: We're telling me this bitch flew off of the ship and straight onto a door and never hit the water once.
54:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember.
54:21
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to um, what did they do this in?
54:26
[SPEAKER_03]: There was a show that like busters.
54:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, myth, did they myth busters, busters, titanic, I wouldn't be surprised if they did this.
54:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I think if they did it, I don't know what the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
54:42
[SPEAKER_02]: The results were.
54:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm.
54:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, they said that they, it was plausible that they both could have survived.
54:52
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
54:52
[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
54:53
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I need, myth busters.
54:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Move your ass over rows.
54:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
55:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
55:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I, I believe Broadway.
55:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
55:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, I don't know.
55:06
[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably anything else for you, Sarah.
55:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Anything else to tell the people about or, I don't know.
55:12
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so.
55:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, we'll be back next week with another episode of Buffy and another episode of Angel and we'll see The fuck is gonna happen.
55:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been recording this baby and Connor and all this other fucking shit that's been happening Poppin' off over there on the angel um until next time everyone here and if the less
