- 0:05Speaker 1: Good morning family, Good morning, got blessed. Welcome back to
- 0:08Speaker 1: the Morning Devo, my brothers and sisters in Christ and
- 0:11Speaker 1: the Family of God and those who are listening and
- 0:13Speaker 1: watching right now. Hey man, welcome back to the Morning Devo.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I try to be here at five thirty am Monday
- 0:19Speaker 1: through Friday, Eastern Standard time, right here on a celebrated network,
- 0:23Speaker 1: so Win is with a z dot org Live dot
- 0:26Speaker 1: so Win is with a z dot org. There's a
- 0:27Speaker 1: group of people that always go over there as well.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hey man, my.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Apologies for the Sunday talk show, the Kingdom Call. I
- 0:34Speaker 1: haven't been doing it for a while because on Sundays
- 0:37Speaker 1: I literally have things happening the men and the time
- 0:41Speaker 1: frame right now is not available, but soon and very soon,
- 0:45Speaker 1: Lord Willing, I'll get back to the Kingdom Call every
- 0:48Speaker 1: Sunday at six pm Eastern Standing time. So let's go
- 0:52Speaker 1: for it. We're gonna start with prayer like we always do,
- 0:56Speaker 1: but we're gonna specifically pray for students. I don't know
- 1:00Speaker 1: if you heard or saw in the news. Unfortunately the
- 1:04Speaker 1: first day, first week back, that have been shootings, stabbings, people.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Have been getting hurt in schools. School's been closing.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Down and all kind of things going around all over
- 1:15Speaker 1: the country, all over the nation. And that's not cool, man,
- 1:18Speaker 1: that's really not cool. When I was a kid, there
- 1:22Speaker 1: was not really nothing like that. There would be some
- 1:25Speaker 1: balls and fights and all that, but no stabbings, no shootings,
- 1:29Speaker 1: at least when I was a young kid into a
- 1:32Speaker 1: teenager man. So it's not good prayer for students today.
- 1:37Speaker 2: We'll pray for the new school year. Amen.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And we should be praying regardless for everybody. But when
- 1:44Speaker 1: we're specific with our prayers, I believe and God hears
- 1:47Speaker 1: those prayers and answers them according to the specific prayer
- 1:51Speaker 1: that we're praying. There's a word for specifivity. I think
- 1:54Speaker 1: it's called Amen. That's a hard word to say early
- 1:57Speaker 1: in the morning. Since Joayne, I see you, Good morning,
- 1:59Speaker 1: got let's you welcome back to the morning demo.
- 2:02Speaker 2: My sister and my friend.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So it's time to join together and pray for this
- 2:07Speaker 1: new school year, right, can you believe it? Sometime it's
- 2:12Speaker 1: almost done. We're heading into the fall. School is coming
- 2:15Speaker 1: back in some regions already school has already started. But
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm like, let's pray for our students for real, Like
- 2:23Speaker 1: let's really pray. We're gonna be in Proverbs chapter number two,
- 2:27Speaker 1: verse number six, Proverbs two and verse number six. If
- 2:31Speaker 1: you have any questions, comments, concerns, pray requests, or anything
- 2:35Speaker 1: along those lines, please don't hesitate to leave it on
- 2:37Speaker 1: a live chat.
- 2:38Speaker 2: That's what we're here for. That's what we're here for.
- 2:41Speaker 1: If you're a live that's so win is where zea
- 2:43Speaker 1: orgda is a live chat there as well. It's a
- 2:46Speaker 1: real chill website, no distractions over there if you want
- 2:50Speaker 1: to join me over there as well. So let's go
- 2:54Speaker 1: for it. Let's pray first. After we pray, we'll share
- 2:56Speaker 1: this out for like sixty seconds, and then on the
- 2:59Speaker 1: other side of that six seconds, we'll get right into
- 3:02Speaker 1: our verse for today to devote some time, and then
- 3:05Speaker 1: we're gonna pray. Give you some prayer points, some highlights
- 3:09Speaker 1: that we could be praying for a new school year right,
- 3:12Speaker 1: as our children, as our family members, as the teachers
- 3:15Speaker 1: go back, faculty has been back, right.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And then my friend, my brother in Christ.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He's actually one of the custodians, cleans up, gets the
- 3:26Speaker 1: classrooms prepared, a clean school year right, and all of
- 3:30Speaker 1: that is important. We need to be praying for everyone involved.
- 3:34Speaker 1: We're raising our children through the school system, not raising
- 3:38Speaker 1: our children through values and listen the teachers teach and
- 3:42Speaker 1: the parents. We raised our children with the values and man,
- 3:46Speaker 1: if you're a Christ's follower, we raise our children in
- 3:48Speaker 1: the ways of the Lord.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:50Speaker 1: If you're not a Christian or you don't believe in
- 3:53Speaker 1: God or anything like that, you're raising your children based
- 3:55Speaker 1: upon what you believe. So my prayer is that we
- 3:59Speaker 1: all come to anerstanding of who the Lord is in
- 4:02Speaker 1: our lives, so that way we could pray and be
- 4:04Speaker 1: specific and pray to the only, true, living, holy, righteous,
- 4:08Speaker 1: loving God who loves us so much that He's sent
- 4:11Speaker 1: his very own self to save us, not to condemn
- 4:15Speaker 1: the world, but to save the world.
- 4:16Speaker 2: So let's pray.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Father, I thank you for saving and rescuing us. Thank
- 4:21Speaker 1: you Lo God for today. Thank you Lord God for
- 4:24Speaker 1: new starts, new beginnings. I pray, Lood God, that this
- 4:26Speaker 1: season that we're coming into, Lo God, will be the
- 4:29Speaker 1: best season in our lives, that we could experience more
- 4:32Speaker 1: and more of who you are and what you can
- 4:35Speaker 1: do and what you will do in our hearts and
- 4:36Speaker 1: our minds. I pray look God a hedge of protection
- 4:39Speaker 1: for every single person right now, including myself, my wife,
- 4:42Speaker 1: our children, our grandchildren, our family from the very youngest
- 4:46Speaker 1: to the very oldest family members, and everyone in between.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I pray that same hedge of protection in the name
- 4:52Speaker 1: of Jesus, over every single person that's watching or listening
- 4:55Speaker 1: right now.
- 4:55Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus, I.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Pray, Lord God, that you would teach us and show
- 4:59Speaker 1: us how to be wild and our decision making, how
- 5:02Speaker 1: to know how to navigate this life, how to know
- 5:04Speaker 1: how to surround ourselves where people who will encourage us,
- 5:07Speaker 1: who will lift us up and stay out of the
- 5:09Speaker 1: dark places and dark groups and dark covenants. We release
- 5:14Speaker 1: those things out to the world and we embrace those
- 5:17Speaker 1: things that you give us, and we embrace that for
- 5:19Speaker 1: eternal life. So I speak life concerning all living people,
- 5:23Speaker 1: all things living, and I speak death to those things
- 5:25Speaker 1: that try to come against the plan of God, over
- 5:28Speaker 1: every individual life and the powerful name of Jesus. I
- 5:31Speaker 1: prayed by faith and all those who agreed. We say
- 5:33Speaker 1: Amen to the Amen. Help me share this out sixty seconds.
- 5:36Speaker 1: When we come back, we'll get right into today's morning.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Devo. I'll be right back. Amen. We're back.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Let's go for it, ladies and gentlemen, let's go for it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We got a amen from Sister Joanne. It's power and
- 7:07Speaker 1: agreement for sure. We already know that, Amen. And if
- 7:10Speaker 1: you don't know that, let's agree in prayer, and let's
- 7:13Speaker 1: pray for our students, the students that are coming back
- 7:15Speaker 1: to school, the students that need school supplies. As a
- 7:18Speaker 1: matter of fact, from the time it's recording, on this Saturday,
- 7:21Speaker 1: Lord Willing of Saturday comes, there's gonna be a backpack
- 7:24Speaker 1: school giveaway all over my community, but especially this Saturday.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I think it's from two to five for men. Just
- 7:32Speaker 1: look at my socials.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I got it up.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We gotta post it up, amen, and I'll post it
- 7:37Speaker 1: up also on the website. It's free for the whole family.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Amen.
- 7:42Speaker 1: From elementary school students I believe, to junior high or
- 7:47Speaker 1: middle school students, Amen, and some high school students.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We're gonna be given out backpacks.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So that's something that you could check out on the website,
- 7:55Speaker 1: also on on social media platforms, so you can see
- 7:59Speaker 1: the link. So praying is powerful. You know, I've been
- 8:04Speaker 1: on this prayer thing for a while, right because it's
- 8:07Speaker 1: so much going on, So much has been brought to
- 8:10Speaker 1: our attention right as believers. So we need to be
- 8:13Speaker 1: standing in prayer, standing in the gap for those who
- 8:16Speaker 1: need prayer, for those who are experiencing tough times right now, financially, physically,
- 8:23Speaker 1: in their body, mentally, in their mindset.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Amen.
- 8:26Speaker 1: So we need to be in prayer, united in prayer,
- 8:29Speaker 1: united in faith, right encouraging one another to move forward
- 8:34Speaker 1: in victorious ways. So let's get to the scripture. I
- 8:37Speaker 1: want to share this with everyone. Here a man pray
- 8:40Speaker 1: for students. You see, I got the bus moving an
- 8:43Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter two, verse number six, The Bible says, for
- 8:47Speaker 1: the Lord gives skillful and godly wisdom. Lord doesn't give
- 8:53Speaker 1: us junk. He doesn't give us worldly wisdom. He doesn't
- 8:56Speaker 1: give us wisdom that we can use on a day
- 8:58Speaker 1: to day business, day to day. You know, God gives
- 9:03Speaker 1: us skillful and godly wisdom.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's what the Lord gives us.
- 9:07Speaker 1: From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. God is always speaking.
- 9:12Speaker 1: He speaks to his word. He speaks through people. He
- 9:15Speaker 1: speaks to community, He speaks to his body. He speaks
- 9:17Speaker 1: to the churches, he speaks through schools, he speaks through businesses.
- 9:21Speaker 1: He speaks through government, he speaks through medical fields, he
- 9:24Speaker 1: speaks through finances.
- 9:26Speaker 2: He speaks through.
- 9:26Speaker 1: All of us who are called upon, called upon His
- 9:30Speaker 1: name to be saved. We have His Holy spirit living
- 9:34Speaker 1: inside of us. Sister Joann says, I like if you
- 9:37Speaker 1: could keep in touch with me about the backpacks.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I have a child with me. Please keep in touch
- 9:43Speaker 2: with me.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I don't go on the website, Okay, no problem, I'll
- 9:47Speaker 1: send you. I believe the link I could send you
- 9:50Speaker 1: through your messenger, So get ready for that and I'll
- 9:53Speaker 1: get you that Information's local. It's in Allentown twelfth Street.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It's called Hope Community Church, and we do this every year.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I believe this is at least my twelfth year involved
- 10:05Speaker 1: in this backpack giveaway.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:08Speaker 1: So you'll get that information soon, Sister Joan, and we'll
- 10:11Speaker 1: take care of that child that's living with you, Okay.
- 10:14Speaker 1: For the Lord gives, he gives love, he gives grace,
- 10:18Speaker 1: it gives mercy, It gives skillful and godly wisdom. What
- 10:24Speaker 1: kind of wisdom is that? It's an amazing wisdom to
- 10:26Speaker 1: have not only to know, but to understand what you know.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Not only to understand and know, but to apply that
- 10:35Speaker 1: wisdom right because from the mouth of the Lord, knowledge
- 10:38Speaker 1: and understanding come out of the Lord's mouth when God speaks.
- 10:43Speaker 1: We should all be listening and listening intentionally and listening
- 10:46Speaker 1: carefully to the instructions and to the ways that God
- 10:50Speaker 1: wants us to move.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That's the very best way we should be moving. Regardless,
- 10:54Speaker 1: we should be moving in a way that will honor God,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that will please God.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And that way we could go ahead and encourage others.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I was in a lyft ride with one of my passengers,
- 11:04Speaker 1: a young lady and man. She was going through it
- 11:09Speaker 1: with I guess a boyfriend or an ex boyfriend or something.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And the way the conversation on the phone was it
- 11:18Speaker 1: was demeaning to her. It was, you know, it was aggravating.
- 11:23Speaker 1: She was aggravated. But then again, I'm looking and she
- 11:26Speaker 1: was a young lady. I don't know if she's still
- 11:27Speaker 1: in school or not. But dropped her. She had a
- 11:31Speaker 1: round trip, dropped off at a local clothing store. She
- 11:35Speaker 1: had to get a couple of things, got back in
- 11:37Speaker 1: so I had a specific song that I wanted to play.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So that way, maybe in the background, if she was listening,
- 11:44Speaker 1: she would hear it right. It's I See for Kratona.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It's gonna be one of my favorite bangers for gospel rap.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It's called I had to Separate. It's called separate when
- 11:55Speaker 1: we have to separate from our old way of thinking.
- 11:58Speaker 1: We have to separate from people times, we have to
- 12:00Speaker 1: separate from old habits. We have to separate from the
- 12:03Speaker 1: people that are dragging us down. We have to separate
- 12:06Speaker 1: from smoking and drinking and a party life. We have
- 12:08Speaker 1: to separate from our simple evil desires. It's a great song,
- 12:14Speaker 1: and I knew she was listening because she looked puzzled.
- 12:18Speaker 1: At one point, she was on the phone and she
- 12:20Speaker 1: put the phone down and started putting her ear towards
- 12:23Speaker 1: the speaker.
- 12:24Speaker 2: She said, what is this Amen?
- 12:25Speaker 1: So I'm praying, help me pray that this young lady
- 12:28Speaker 1: will receive that message that was in that song, because
- 12:31Speaker 1: that song is inspired by Holy Spirit God through a
- 12:34Speaker 1: man of God that knew he had to leave his
- 12:38Speaker 1: old ways and going into the new school year. I
- 12:40Speaker 1: think what happens is when students leave school right in
- 12:44Speaker 1: that environment and that it's structured, that they should have
- 12:48Speaker 1: some kind of discipline that she hopefully the prayer is
- 12:52Speaker 1: that they'll have teachers that really care about them, They'll
- 12:54Speaker 1: have faculty members that really care about them, they'll have
- 12:56Speaker 1: a school system that really cares about the student's hope.
- 13:00Speaker 1: They're in that type of environment. But when they leave
- 13:02Speaker 1: that environment and go to their other environment for a
- 13:05Speaker 1: number of months, right, three months, So you have July, August, September,
- 13:11Speaker 1: So not even two and a half months, right, because
- 13:14Speaker 1: June is the last month for many students, and then
- 13:18Speaker 1: they have July and August. It's really like only two
- 13:21Speaker 1: and a half months they have off. But in at
- 13:23Speaker 1: two and a half months, they might pick up old
- 13:25Speaker 1: habits and old ways and patterns of thinking. And they're
- 13:28Speaker 1: not in a disciplined situation. They're not in a structure situation.
- 13:32Speaker 1: A lot of students are in bad situations. So I
- 13:36Speaker 1: help me pray for every single person that I meet
- 13:39Speaker 1: when I do the ride share, when I'm meeting people
- 13:42Speaker 1: there in the field, when I'm out there witnessing to people,
- 13:45Speaker 1: when I'm out there DJing, when I'm out there doing events,
- 13:48Speaker 1: and man, help me be more bold and speak up
- 13:52Speaker 1: for the cause of Christ. You might be thinking, ah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you speak about God all the time with everybody.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It's not true.
- 13:56Speaker 1: There's certain situations that I kind of like struggle with
- 14:00Speaker 1: when it comes to speaking on it.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I don't know why, Amen, but I'm working on it. Amen.
- 14:06Speaker 1: If you know what I'm talking about, and you have
- 14:08Speaker 1: certain situations that are approached, you approach by, or you
- 14:13Speaker 1: come across, and you have a hard time speaking the
- 14:16Speaker 1: Gospel over it, Amen to someone else, a man will
- 14:19Speaker 1: be praying for each other because you know what I'm
- 14:21Speaker 1: talking about. So prayer for students. We need to be mindful,
- 14:26Speaker 1: we need to be praying.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Amen.
- 14:28Speaker 1: These are back to school prayers, and I'm going to
- 14:32Speaker 1: give you some highlights and then maybe because of the highlights,
- 14:35Speaker 1: you'll take some time personal time and pray, or maybe
- 14:39Speaker 1: going to a group of prayer warriors a man online
- 14:43Speaker 1: or on the phone or on person, and let's pray
- 14:46Speaker 1: for our students. Right, every student that's returning to school
- 14:51Speaker 1: is in need of something.
- 14:54Speaker 2: A lot of times.
- 14:55Speaker 1: If you remember when you were in school, there was
- 14:57Speaker 1: always that the inn group, right. People always wanted to
- 15:01Speaker 1: be with the cool group, with the group of people
- 15:04Speaker 1: that seem to have it all together, that seem to
- 15:06Speaker 1: have the fame and the money and prestige and the reputation.
- 15:13Speaker 1: A lot of students are going back seeking that group,
- 15:16Speaker 1: and sometimes they don't make it into that group for
- 15:18Speaker 1: good reasons or bad reasons, it doesn't matter. What matters
- 15:21Speaker 1: is we need to be praying for every student that's
- 15:23Speaker 1: returning back into that school, whatever school they're returning to, right,
- 15:28Speaker 1: that they will put their focus back on learning, They
- 15:31Speaker 1: will put their focus back on discipline, they will put
- 15:34Speaker 1: their focus back maybe their sports. So maybe they're in
- 15:38Speaker 1: college classes, or maybe they're kindergarten, it could be from
- 15:43Speaker 1: wherever they are entering in that school, and we need
- 15:45Speaker 1: to be praying for every student that they will have focus.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Right, that they will want to learn, that they will
- 15:52Speaker 2: have the courage.
- 15:53Speaker 1: To stand for what is right. A lot of students
- 15:56Speaker 1: are peer pressured, right, Remember peer pressure. People are doing wrong,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and the amount of people that are doing wrong outweigh
- 16:04Speaker 1: sometimes the people who are doing right, and then with
- 16:06Speaker 1: the people and the students that want to do right,
- 16:08Speaker 1: the other kids say, you guys are wag, you guys
- 16:10Speaker 1: are phony, you guys are laying whatever the new verbiage
- 16:14Speaker 1: is right now, But it's always been like that, right,
- 16:17Speaker 1: It's always been crowds of students that if you're not
- 16:19Speaker 1: with them, they feel like you're inferior. They think that
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know, you're corny, they think that you're not down
- 16:25Speaker 1: with what they're down with. So we need to be
- 16:27Speaker 1: praying for those students to have courage to stand for
- 16:32Speaker 1: what is right.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And I say this all the time, and I used
- 16:37Speaker 1: to always tell this to my son when he was
- 16:40Speaker 1: going to school early in his school, just make wise decisions,
- 16:44Speaker 1: make good decisions, make wise decisions. It really will matter.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And thank you Jesus, I believe he made the wise decisions.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Amen.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Of course, we all made mistakes. I made mistakes as
- 16:55Speaker 1: a student growing up in school. You made mistakes. Everyone
- 16:58Speaker 1: makes mistakes. And I have a ten year old daughter
- 17:01Speaker 1: and a four year old daughter and I tell them
- 17:03Speaker 1: the same day, same thing. Make wide decisions. You don't
- 17:06Speaker 1: have to be a follower all the time right now.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You could be someone who stands up for what you
- 17:13Speaker 1: believe in.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Amen.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So I have a kindergarten, the first time kindergarten, but
- 17:19Speaker 1: thank you Jesus, they might be attendant or they will
- 17:21Speaker 1: be attending the same school. So I pray for the
- 17:25Speaker 1: school for protection, Amen, not only because my children are there,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but because other children are there and other parents have
- 17:31Speaker 1: their kids going. You know how hard it was for
- 17:34Speaker 1: me to drop my son off years ago in the
- 17:38Speaker 1: first grade, right walking him in and then leaving. And
- 17:41Speaker 1: now I have to trust every single person inside that
- 17:44Speaker 1: building with my own child. That's not easy. Same thing
- 17:47Speaker 1: happened years later, right when I dropped my daughter off
- 17:51Speaker 1: our first grade, and I was like, man, I was
- 17:53Speaker 1: a mess. Me and my wife were a mess. Were like, man,
- 17:56Speaker 1: this is crazy. It's so real because now we have
- 17:59Speaker 1: to tr us that the faculty, that the teachers, that
- 18:03Speaker 1: the people in their security will really take care of
- 18:06Speaker 1: our children.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Amen.
- 18:07Speaker 1: But we have a higher trust, we have a higher
- 18:10Speaker 1: being that we can trust, and we have the lords
- 18:12Speaker 1: of trusting. But you know what I mean, a man
- 18:14Speaker 1: were still letting them out from under our protection.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Amen.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And now I have a new child, young daughter, going
- 18:25Speaker 1: into kindergarten, the same thing. It's just going to be
- 18:28Speaker 1: one of those things we have to let go. But
- 18:31Speaker 1: we could pray that our children and those students, whether
- 18:36Speaker 1: they're your child or not, but the.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Students in school will make good choices. Right.
- 18:41Speaker 1: We ask for protection, that God will protect our children,
- 18:45Speaker 1: protect our students, protect these students from any harm right
- 18:49Speaker 1: and surround them.
- 18:50Speaker 2: With godly friends.
- 18:52Speaker 1: It's possible that our children can be surrounded with godly friends.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Don't think that because everybody doesn't believe in God, right,
- 19:01Speaker 1: that they're not godly children. Because the people who do
- 19:04Speaker 1: believe in God. Obviously it's to this children who are
- 19:08Speaker 1: good kids. They just are young and they make young mistakes.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But we could pray that our children are surrounded by
- 19:15Speaker 1: godly friends.
- 19:17Speaker 2: It's okay, Amen.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And I wouldn't want my daughter surrounded by just Christians
- 19:23Speaker 1: or church people. I want my daughter involved in other
- 19:27Speaker 1: people's lives that need the Gospel message, but that she
- 19:31Speaker 1: doesn't have to be tied in or join in to
- 19:34Speaker 1: ung behaviors and activities.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:38Speaker 1: But we could pray that God will surround our students,
- 19:41Speaker 1: our children with golly friends, Amen. That will influence them
- 19:47Speaker 1: to do things that are right. Because when you have
- 19:49Speaker 1: a gollly friend, this gollly friend has Holy Spirit living
- 19:53Speaker 1: within them, and Holy Spirit is who gives us self control.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And when you have self control, you can make wiser
- 20:00Speaker 1: decisions than those who don't have Holy Spirit living inside
- 20:04Speaker 1: of them or are making unguly decisions and who have
- 20:08Speaker 1: lack of control. They have really no self control. But
- 20:12Speaker 1: when we fight this good fight of faith, we have
- 20:14Speaker 1: Holy spirit and we have self control. Right, we just
- 20:17Speaker 1: have to be bold enough to hold on to that
- 20:21Speaker 1: self control that the Lord allows us to have. Help
- 20:24Speaker 1: them to shine the light of Christ in their classrooms.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I believe those stories that I'm hearing about these students
- 20:35Speaker 1: going in and with knives and guns. I believe they're hurt.
- 20:39Speaker 1: They're hurt students and hurt students, hurt other students. They
- 20:43Speaker 1: are probably struggling mentally or maybe financially. They can't you
- 20:48Speaker 1: be like the rest of the people with the new
- 20:50Speaker 1: kicks and the new bag school bag, and new clothes
- 20:52Speaker 1: or whatever. Maybe they're recycling the same clothes or the
- 20:56Speaker 1: same book back from last year, and they're getting ready
- 20:59Speaker 1: to be made fun of, because kids could be cruel sometimes, right,
- 21:04Speaker 1: it could be so many things. But I believe the
- 21:07Speaker 1: solution is if that student before they went into school
- 21:11Speaker 1: were saved and men, they wouldn't have those thoughts of
- 21:15Speaker 1: killing or stabbing or shooting someone in the school.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It could be a family situation going on that we
- 21:22Speaker 1: don't know about. That's why the Bible says to not
- 21:25Speaker 1: judge the outsiders. We don't know that situation, but God
- 21:28Speaker 1: knows the situation.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And prayer will help. Being there to listen to the
- 21:33Speaker 2: story helps. Right.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Hopefully, there's godly counselors and school systems all over the
- 21:38Speaker 1: country that could really pay attention and listen to the
- 21:43Speaker 1: story of these students that are causing harm to others
- 21:46Speaker 1: and maybe harm to themselves.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You never know, right, So.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Pray that the students will shine the light of Christ
- 21:54Speaker 1: in their classroom.
- 21:56Speaker 2: In the light of Christ, there is hope.
- 22:01Speaker 1: In the light of Christ, there is love, and the
- 22:04Speaker 1: light of Christ exposes sinful nature and exposes the enemy's schemes. Right,
- 22:11Speaker 1: it could be possible that godly students can help change
- 22:16Speaker 1: the environment, change the environment.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Of the others. Amen.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I want to look up another scripture that I just
- 22:24Speaker 1: remembered that might go along with this prayer. Amen, might
- 22:31Speaker 1: go along with this prayer is found in Matthew chapter five,
- 22:34Speaker 1: verse sixteen. Let me see if I could get to
- 22:35Speaker 1: real quick Matthew five and verse sixteen. Believe this is
- 22:41Speaker 1: the Lord's speaking. The Lord says, in the same way,
- 22:47Speaker 1: let your light shine before men, that they may see
- 22:51Speaker 1: your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven. It's
- 22:57Speaker 1: not as usual as you think school or anywhere. As
- 23:01Speaker 1: a matter of fact, that people are kind anymore, not
- 23:05Speaker 1: usual anymore that people are listening to other people's stories anymore.
- 23:10Speaker 2: It's not common anymore.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Like people really are shocked when you give them a
- 23:16Speaker 1: compliment or give them a word of encouragement, or listen
- 23:20Speaker 1: to them, or be present or give them a listening
- 23:24Speaker 1: or make them feel valuable, like right now, a lot
- 23:27Speaker 1: of people don't have that. If you sit somebody down
- 23:30Speaker 1: for thirty seconds and you start speaking words of encouragement
- 23:33Speaker 1: over them, it might overwhelm them because I don't know
- 23:37Speaker 1: when's the last time you or me were sat down
- 23:40Speaker 1: for thirty seconds and were encouraged by someone by words
- 23:43Speaker 1: of encouragement.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Because we live in such.
- 23:45Speaker 1: A busy, fast paced life, right, we should be acknowledging
- 23:50Speaker 1: the students, ayman this year more than ever, that they
- 23:53Speaker 1: need to be acknowledged for their accomplishments, not just for
- 23:56Speaker 1: what they did wrong, but let's acknowledge for what they're
- 24:00Speaker 1: doing right and what they can do right, and encourage
- 24:02Speaker 1: them and look at their potential and shine light on
- 24:06Speaker 1: their potential.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Since the joyce. I see you.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Good morning, God bless you and the group. Thank you
- 24:11Speaker 1: so much for your blessings. My sister, my friend, thank
- 24:13Speaker 1: you for coming. So prayer for the students, right protection right.
- 24:21Speaker 1: We pray that they will have courage to want to learn,
- 24:24Speaker 1: that they would have the focus and man to stay
- 24:27Speaker 1: away from those crowds that you know. And I was
- 24:30Speaker 1: guilty of this when I was in school, when I
- 24:33Speaker 1: was at least middle school in high school, I used
- 24:36Speaker 1: to go to hang out. I used to cut class
- 24:38Speaker 1: and all that just to be in three lunch periods.
- 24:42Speaker 1: And I'm laughing now, but it's not funny. It was
- 24:44Speaker 1: just that the way we were thinking back then, when
- 24:49Speaker 1: I was young without Christ, I was christless and I'm
- 24:53Speaker 1: pretty sure they were Christian believers in their schools that
- 24:57Speaker 1: I attended. I just wasn't hanging out with them, right,
- 25:01Speaker 1: And the reason why I didn't know them is because
- 25:03Speaker 1: they weren't.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Doing what we were doing.
- 25:05Speaker 1: It's obvious, but there are still students like that. They
- 25:10Speaker 1: just go to hang out. I remember I used to
- 25:14Speaker 1: in the morning when after it dropped off my daughter
- 25:17Speaker 1: for school. On the way back, I used to always
- 25:20Speaker 1: see a couple of students that actually know. They were
- 25:24Speaker 1: teens from my church and they would be walking opposite
- 25:27Speaker 1: direction of the school and I used to always ask them, Hey,
- 25:31Speaker 1: you said your school that way and they were like yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I said, so why are you going this way?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Oh? You know.
- 25:37Speaker 1: They would give me all different answers, but it made me.
- 25:40Speaker 1: It reminded me of what we used to do right
- 25:43Speaker 1: And all we could do at that point is maybe
- 25:46Speaker 1: encourage them to go go to school, or pray for them,
- 25:52Speaker 1: or tell them listen thinking about you, or just be
- 25:55Speaker 1: careful because they're on their way to do something different.
- 25:59Speaker 1: They're not on the way to school, obviously, they're on.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Their way to whatever. And we need to be in prayer. Amen.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Sister Joyce said, Amen. We just prayed that prayer on
- 26:10Speaker 1: the prayer like, oh, praise the Lord.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Amen. The Lord is speaking. The Lord is speaking, Amen.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And when we're united by the Spirit, Amen, we are
- 26:17Speaker 1: in perfect communion with the body. And when the Body speaks, right,
- 26:21Speaker 1: when Holy Spirit speaks, the Body speaks Amen, the same message.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Amen. So prayer to.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Protect our students, to protect those who are in school.
- 26:32Speaker 1: You probably have a relative, you probably won't have a
- 26:34Speaker 1: child right now. You know, and it's unusual for me
- 26:37Speaker 1: at my age and me and my wife say, used
- 26:39Speaker 1: to have young children.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Amen. But that's a whole different story.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Our testimony of how this whole thing happened gives glory
- 26:47Speaker 1: to God. But we are older, probably about like fifteen
- 26:51Speaker 1: to twenty years older. And then my daughter's my ten
- 26:55Speaker 1: year olds or both my daughter's parents.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Amen.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So it's a little different for us. It's unusual for
- 27:04Speaker 1: people my age to have kids still in elementary school, right,
- 27:08Speaker 1: But you might not even have children in school at
- 27:10Speaker 1: this time. It might be full grown adults.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Oh.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Maybe they might be teachers, Maybe they might be in
- 27:16Speaker 1: a faculty, Maybe they might be in a school system,
- 27:18Speaker 1: maybe they might be principles of the school system. We
- 27:21Speaker 1: could be praying for teachers and staff as well, but
- 27:24Speaker 1: for the students that we could be an encouragement to
- 27:28Speaker 1: them that God will keep them focused on what they're
- 27:32Speaker 1: going to learn. And let the teachers teach and let
- 27:35Speaker 1: the parents raise the children.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Amen.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And we're supposed to have you know, we're supposed to
- 27:41Speaker 1: have a partnership with the teacher.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Amen.
- 27:44Speaker 1: The teachers are out there to raise our children. Parents
- 27:47Speaker 1: raise our children.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Amen. So that'll be some prayer highlights that you could
- 27:50Speaker 2: get ahead and pray for students. Amen.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Next time we'll get together, we'll do some other prayers
- 27:57Speaker 1: for the teachers. We'll do prayers for the faculty, SEEP,
- 28:00Speaker 1: do prayers for the principles. Amen, for the school systems. Amen.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Sister Sherry, Good morning, God, bless you. Welcome to the
- 28:07Speaker 1: morning Devo, My sister, my friend. So there's a lot
- 28:09Speaker 1: to pray about and men. Pray for parents, right, Pray
- 28:14Speaker 1: for success and growth for our students and our children.
- 28:17Speaker 1: There's so much to pray for for this new school season.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Pray also for the families that I would horrified with
- 28:23Speaker 1: these tragic things that happened already in the schools systems
- 28:26Speaker 1: around the nation.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Shouldn't be that way.
- 28:30Speaker 1: But the hearts of men and the hearts of the
- 28:32Speaker 1: people can be changed by the Lord, and that will
- 28:34Speaker 1: happen less and less and less when we get this
- 28:37Speaker 1: gospel message out and people receive the love of God
- 28:40Speaker 1: and love of Christ.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Amen. So I'm out of time, but I'm not out
- 28:44Speaker 2: of blessing. So let me bless you all. God.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Bless you all, God keep you all, and remember always
- 28:49Speaker 1: that God is good.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Peace,
