A brush fire erupted in Grand Mound yesterday at 1:15 PM, quickly threatening multiple homes and forcing firefighters into defensive mode. Flames and smoke were intense, but crews swiftly contained the blaze and conducted thorough cleanup to extinguish any hidden hot spots. One civilian suffered minor injuries treated on scene. Three RVs and four cars were damaged, with the fire’s cause still under investigation.
