Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morny praise party. I am a Sherry
- 0:03Speaker 1: Mackey at its time for today's word, God Your ground,
- 0:09Speaker 1: God Your Ground. Mark four twenty says the seed that
- 0:15Speaker 1: fell on gut ground represents those who hear and accept
- 0:18Speaker 1: God's word and produce a harvest of thirty sixty and
- 0:22Speaker 1: even one hundred times as much as had been planted.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You know, and Jesus is parable of the sore. He
- 0:29Speaker 1: makes it clear that the real issue isn't the seed,
- 0:32Speaker 1: it's the soil. The seed is always good, The word
- 0:35Speaker 1: of God is always powerful, always full of life, always
- 0:39Speaker 1: capable of producing something greater than we imagine. But the
- 0:42Speaker 1: question is what kind of soil is it?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Falling on your heart? Is the soil?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Just in case you didn't know your heart is that soil.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Jesus warns us about rocky ground where the word can't
- 0:56Speaker 1: take deep root, in forny ground, where it gets choked
- 0:59Speaker 1: out before it can fully grow. And if we're honest,
- 1:02Speaker 1: we've all experienced a moment where our soul wasn't in
- 1:05Speaker 1: right condition. Hello, somebody, Life happens, Disappointments come, people say
- 1:11Speaker 1: things that stick with us, Environments shape us, and before
- 1:15Speaker 1: we know it what God planet.
- 1:17Speaker 2: In us is struggling to survive.
- 1:19Speaker 1: See, that's why we have to be intentional about what's
- 1:23Speaker 1: around us. The thorns in your life may not look
- 1:28Speaker 1: dangerous at first. They could be relationships that constantly pull
- 1:32Speaker 1: you in to compromise, people who normalize negativity, who make
- 1:37Speaker 1: excuses for staying stuck, or who subtly discourage your growth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: The weeds might be voices you hear every day, coworkers
- 1:46Speaker 1: who complain, social circles filled with gospel, and even the
- 1:50Speaker 1: constant noise of media, that fear comparison, doubt. And then
- 1:58Speaker 1: they're those rocks, those hard places for and by past hurts, rejections,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and limited beliefs. Maybe it's the voice of someone who
- 2:06Speaker 1: told you that you never be successful, never be enough,
- 2:09Speaker 1: never rise above where you are. Those words can harden
- 2:13Speaker 1: your heart even if you're not careful, making it difficult
- 2:16Speaker 1: for God's truth to take root. But here's the truth.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Anything that chokes your growth has.
- 2:22Speaker 2: To be addressed. You cannot expect.
- 2:25Speaker 1: A harvest while holding on to what's poisoning your soul.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Growth requires courage, the courage to evaluate your environment, your relationships,
- 2:34Speaker 1: your habits, and even your thoughts. What are you allowing
- 2:38Speaker 1: in your space? What are you entertaining that God is
- 2:42Speaker 1: asking you to release? Because what you're not willing to
- 2:45Speaker 1: walk away from is often where you're stopping your own growth.
- 2:51Speaker 1: God is placed gifts, purpose, and potential inside of you.
- 2:55Speaker 2: There is a harvest attached.
- 2:57Speaker 1: To your life, one that can bless not only you,
- 2:59Speaker 1: but the emirations after you. But that harvest is dependent
- 3:03Speaker 1: on the condition of your heart. Good soil doesn't happen
- 3:07Speaker 1: by accident. It's cultivated, it's protected, it's pruned when necessary.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So I need you to be selective. Protect your peace, God,
- 3:16Speaker 1: your mind. Surround yourself with people who speak life, who
- 3:19Speaker 1: challenge you to grow, who remind you of who God
- 3:22Speaker 1: called you to be. Fill your heart with truth, with faith,
- 3:25Speaker 1: with things that strengthen you instead of draining you. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: when you do that, you create an environment where God's.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Word can take root deeply.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And when it does, the harvest will come not just
- 3:37Speaker 1: a little, but thirty sixty, even one hundredfold.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Who Now that's the power of good soil.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Father, Thank you for the gifts and the potential that
- 3:48Speaker 1: you placed inside of us. Thank you for reminding us
- 3:51Speaker 1: that our growth is connected to the condition of our hearts.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Give us the wisdom, give us the boldness to evaluate
- 3:57Speaker 1: what's around us and let go of anything that is
- 4:00Speaker 1: choking what you planted on the inside of us. Surround
- 4:04Speaker 1: us with people and influences that have strengthened our faith
- 4:08Speaker 1: and help us grow. God, we choose to be good soil,
- 4:13Speaker 1: ready for the harvest that You've prepared for our lives
- 4:15Speaker 1: in Jesus' name. Now that's your word for today. Take
- 4:18Speaker 1: it applied to your everyday life, and you continue to
- 4:21Speaker 1: be encouraged and inspired. It is your early morning praise party.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie.
