- 1:07Speaker 2: But now not to go. But once they get there,
- 1:08Speaker 2: I feel like they're not. Yeah, it's like, okay, you
- 1:11Speaker 2: don't want to go to school. Kids, like you get
- 1:13Speaker 2: to go hang out with your friends all day. You
- 1:15Speaker 2: get to you know, for my kindergartener, you get to color,
- 1:19Speaker 2: You get to learn shapes like you gotta go to
- 1:21Speaker 2: recess b You spend pretty cool. You spend a lot
- 1:24Speaker 2: of money to learn how to color. Yeah, it's a
- 1:26Speaker 2: lot of they learned so many colors, many colors tomorrow
- 1:34Speaker 2: from what we hear, what we've been told, Jaco Pester
- 1:38Speaker 2: is gonna be back in for one day, one day only.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's a one day event.
- 1:43Speaker 3: He's been on a roll.
- 1:45Speaker 2: He's he can complain all he wants about it. Blast,
- 1:50Speaker 2: He's loving every single thought interview he had yesterday with that.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Maybe it was a couple of days ago. He just
- 1:57Speaker 2: posted yesterday with Lamar Jackson chopping it up with him.
- 1:59Speaker 2: He's right basically talking to every team starting quarterback and
- 2:03Speaker 2: head coach, which is pretty pretty good, pretty good gig,
- 2:06Speaker 2: pretty solid.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Get Jake when he gets back publicly rank every quarterback
- 2:12Speaker 4: based on who he liked the best personality was.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, top top ten quarterbacks in the league based on personality.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I love that. Is he going to Washington anytime soon.
- 2:24Speaker 2: He's just there. He was just there.
- 2:28Speaker 3: He might be there yesterday.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I wish he was there today. Oh really, I.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Think it was yesterday the day I saw him post,
- 2:33Speaker 3: or maybe because he was going there.
- 2:35Speaker 4: He was either going there.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Jade couldn't ensued like a couple of days earlier.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I know dude would. Jake would have had a good interview.
- 2:43Speaker 3: No, Jake, he would have skirted it. He would have
- 2:47Speaker 3: skipped it because I know Jake's opinion. He's not He's
- 2:51Speaker 3: not gonna like it either.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I don't think anybody likes the optics of it. Now,
- 2:57Speaker 2: what you were going to try to defend it when
- 2:59Speaker 2: when I first in here, I'm defending his decision to
- 3:02Speaker 2: be pissed yesterday.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you think James said, hey, by the way,
- 3:09Speaker 3: I'm soon.
- 3:11Speaker 4: He get my heads up. Yeah he did.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He slid Uh.
- 3:14Speaker 4: He told Jake, He's like, hey, don't leave it.
- 3:16Speaker 2: If you were going to try to publicly make it
- 3:19Speaker 2: known that you're mad, you should probably just release a
- 3:21Speaker 2: statement yourself, right instead of doing the attorney situation?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Was he getting out of that other than okay, go
- 3:28Speaker 3: take his pictures.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And only release something if in private conversations can't be settled,
- 3:35Speaker 2: can't be settled, and then you just be like, hey,
- 3:36Speaker 2: I'm very disappointed. That's what I'm public saying. I'm very disappointed.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I think that you know, we don't agree with it, whatever,
- 3:43Speaker 2: and kind of move on from there.
- 3:44Speaker 5: But no, he did it immediately because the article said
- 3:48Speaker 5: that he sent it August fifth, and that's I feel
- 3:50Speaker 5: like that's when all that came out.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Well, I think that I'm hoping if LSU like, I'm
- 3:55Speaker 2: hoping that they had the conversation on the front end. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I asked him and then he said no, and then
- 4:00Speaker 2: they just did it anyway, It's what I'm assuming happened.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I mean, and they were like, don't give it or
- 4:04Speaker 2: like we are going.
- 4:07Speaker 3: You know, you're worried about this team, in this team chemistry,
- 4:10Speaker 3: and DJ Pickett is supposed to be elite, He's going
- 4:13Speaker 3: to be the guy.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, what does he do?
- 4:15Speaker 3: Is he more loyal to a quarterback he didn't coach,
- 4:18Speaker 3: or he's focused on this guy?
- 4:20Speaker 6: But also, why didn't picket where it last season?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Because Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly said him and his staff
- 4:26Speaker 2: did not feel they weren't ready at that point to
- 4:29Speaker 2: actually give it to him.
- 4:31Speaker 7: Maybe they, but Brian Kelly is the one that promised.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It to him. Correct Now, this is maths not math
- 4:38Speaker 2: to me. Yeah, so this is all in sports that
- 4:42Speaker 2: out the article on it. It does say that Brian
- 4:44Speaker 2: Kelly and I don't know if this is a quote
- 4:45Speaker 2: since then or if this was a quote previous, if
- 4:47Speaker 2: someone had asked them before about it, he said, I
- 4:50Speaker 2: just wasn't prepared to do it until we got a
- 4:53Speaker 2: full commitment from another Heisman Trophy winner. Kelly said, we
- 4:56Speaker 2: didn't want to issue number nine, so you can't treat
- 4:59Speaker 2: one differently from the other.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:02Speaker 2: So, I mean it's not the first time the coaches
- 5:04Speaker 2: promised to recruit something, right.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Russell Shepard was promised to get quarterback Shawn Jordan was
- 5:08Speaker 3: promised that there was a wrestling tap and there wasn't
- 5:11Speaker 3: a wrestling.
- 5:12Speaker 4: The slide of recruits to get him on campus shock her.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 5:16Speaker 6: I'm not shocked by that.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I'm just saying I'm shocked because back then you couldn't
- 5:21Speaker 3: just transfer and go anywhere. They could lie to you
- 5:23Speaker 3: get you here and you were stuck.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Yeah, tickets was hey, new coaching staff. If they don't
- 5:28Speaker 4: give it to him, I'm out.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Also, so the wait, So Brian Kelly didn't get the
- 5:37Speaker 5: okay from Jade and Daniels to give picket number five.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Well, that's how I'm reading it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: And so he didn't give him the number. So you're
- 5:48Speaker 5: assuming that Lane did the same thing.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Was DJ picketted early and rly?
- 5:52Speaker 5: Yes, So I have to assume that DJ Pickett brought
- 5:56Speaker 5: it up again and was like, am I going to
- 5:58Speaker 5: get number five or not?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Read him? If you read it between the lines of
- 6:01Speaker 2: this quote, Brian Kelly says Numbers promised to picket, but
- 6:05Speaker 2: he chose not to issue it. Quote. I just wasn't
- 6:08Speaker 2: prepared to do it until we got a full commitment
- 6:11Speaker 2: from another Heisman Trophy winner, which I'm assuming is Joe Burrow,
- 6:15Speaker 2: because we didn't want to issue nine. So they're saying
- 6:17Speaker 2: if they issue five, then we have to issue nine.
- 6:21Speaker 2: So there's a snowball effect here. If we issue five,
- 6:24Speaker 2: we have to issue nine as well. So he couldn't
- 6:26Speaker 2: he couldn't get the commitment from another Heisman Trophy winner,
- 6:30Speaker 2: which says Joe Burrow also said, no.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Was anybody asking for nine.
- 6:36Speaker 4: That's another thing. It's like we have to give it out. Well,
- 6:38Speaker 4: you don't have to if nobody wants it, but you
- 6:42Speaker 4: have to assume somebody did.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yeah, So DJ Pickett asked for five. He promised it
- 6:47Speaker 2: to him to get him here on campus. Okay, not
- 6:49Speaker 2: the first time I coaches promised something he wasn't fully
- 6:51Speaker 2: prepared to do. He called Joe Burrow and said, hey,
- 6:55Speaker 2: look if I give this five out potentially means nine
- 6:59Speaker 2: nine will have to be given out at some point
- 7:01Speaker 2: as well. Are you okay with that? If you're reading
- 7:04Speaker 2: between the lines on that quote, specifically only that quote,
- 7:07Speaker 2: it's set. Joe probably didn't give him said no as well,
- 7:12Speaker 2: So you got your two Heisman winners, two of three
- 7:17Speaker 2: in the history that have said no.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Now that I have the context of that, I feel
- 7:26Speaker 5: differently and like I was like, oh man, this is
- 7:29Speaker 5: Brian Kelly whatever, But Brian Kelly didn't give him five
- 7:32Speaker 5: because he didn't get the okay. Lane Kiffen could have
- 7:35Speaker 5: done the same thing, Like if Jadeen Daniel said no,
- 7:38Speaker 5: I'm not okay with it, and Joe Burrow also said no,
- 7:41Speaker 5: I'm not okay with him, then Lane could have done
- 7:43Speaker 5: the same thing. I'm assuming now that DJ Pickett brought
- 7:46Speaker 5: it back up and was like, hey, I was promised five.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Am I going to get to do that this season?
- 7:52Speaker 5: And Lane felt like he had to yeah, because DJ
- 7:55Speaker 5: probably brought it up and was probably if I'm assuming
- 8:00Speaker 5: like I don't know anything about.
- 8:01Speaker 4: It that reason, a different coaching staff was probably like,
- 8:05Speaker 4: bring it up one more time. If not, I'm gone
- 8:08Speaker 4: and it's gonna give it to him.
- 8:09Speaker 3: What kind of kid would say that, I don't know,
- 8:13Speaker 3: the same type of kid soon give me a number
- 8:15Speaker 3: on NA.
- 8:18Speaker 5: But I just think that, yeah, okay, I don't think
- 8:20Speaker 5: that DJ Pickett said if you don't give me five,
- 8:23Speaker 5: I'm leaving.
- 8:23Speaker 6: I'm just saying that.
- 8:24Speaker 7: I feel like he probably brought it back up.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, brought it back up. Yeah, I wanted it was
- 8:27Speaker 2: promise blah blah blah. Didn't give it to me, got it?
- 8:31Speaker 2: And we are making a lot of assumptions here, but
- 8:33Speaker 2: we are just kind of we're overanalyzing the Yes, okay,
- 8:36Speaker 2: we're over analyzing that. But I found it like rereading
- 8:39Speaker 2: that quote, I found it interesting because it sounds like
- 8:43Speaker 2: Brian Kelly asked Joe Burrow if he would be okay
- 8:46Speaker 2: given his number up, because if I give you five,
- 8:50Speaker 2: somebody on the back end is gonna say I want
- 8:53Speaker 2: nine as well. Now that might not be this year,
- 8:55Speaker 2: might not be next, but in the future, there's gonna
- 8:58Speaker 2: be a quarterback out there that's the number one recruit
- 9:00Speaker 2: or the number one guy in the portal that's gonna
- 9:02Speaker 2: say I want to wear nine.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So then I'm asking, well, why did you promise the
- 9:06Speaker 3: kid that why did I mean, because you should just say, hey, yes,
- 9:11Speaker 3: you know that's a Heisman trophy. We can't give that
- 9:13Speaker 3: number get him on campus? Yeah, okay, but in this
- 9:15Speaker 3: day and age, an early enroll lead to get on
- 9:17Speaker 3: campus don't mean crap.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and if the conversation, what if they did give
- 9:23Speaker 2: him I think I'm pretty sure if Lane gave him
- 9:27Speaker 2: five to keep him here, that's also a strange thing.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That's a red flag. Look like, what did you threaten
- 9:35Speaker 2: to leave? You can ask a lot of questions, and
- 9:37Speaker 2: you can. I don't know.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I just like, but it might just be completely off.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But should this should have been handled behind the scenes?
- 9:46Speaker 2: For sure? For sure?
- 9:48Speaker 3: No one is. Everybody agrees. I can see him being upset,
- 9:52Speaker 3: feeling disrespected, mad about it, but sending it and getting
- 9:58Speaker 3: lawyers involved in making it public. It just it looks
- 10:00Speaker 3: like you're trashing your school. I don't like any former
- 10:02Speaker 3: player trashing their school. I mean, are you fire? When
- 10:07Speaker 3: Ben Simmons did that documentary and he just trashed LSU,
- 10:11Speaker 3: he was never coming back, and he's probably one of
- 10:13Speaker 3: the better recruits to come through. It's just always a
- 10:18Speaker 3: bad look when you trash the school. That gave your opportunity. Yep,
- 10:21Speaker 3: I don't disagree that. All right, we're gonna move on
- 10:23Speaker 3: from the number. Hey, are you just excited for the
- 10:25Speaker 3: season or what I'm gonna watch football? To the man?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Hey, hot, we got what to Let's see two and
- 10:31Speaker 2: a half weeks still game one twenty four days.
- 10:35Speaker 3: What's the big Week zero game this year?
- 10:37Speaker 4: Is there one? Yeah?
- 10:41Speaker 6: Did it?
- 10:42Speaker 7: Where's that chart that Christina is with the big games
- 10:45Speaker 7: or whatever?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Uh? The Vegas betting on and everything, there's like two
- 10:53Speaker 2: hundred big games that they were betting on. I couldn't
- 10:56Speaker 2: get behind to some of these big games being like
- 10:58Speaker 2: minus twenty one plus twenty one.
- 11:00Speaker 4: I mean there's not a guy quote unquote big like
- 11:04Speaker 4: North Carolina TCU in C State.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I'm gonna be locked in on Memphis U and LV.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, what is Memphis gonna do without Ryan
- 11:11Speaker 5: SILVILLEA good lord?
- 11:13Speaker 2: We were locked down Carson Beck last week, so like, yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 2: we're gonna be locked in Week zero for sure, Stanford
- 11:19Speaker 2: Hawaii An the interest is it football? It is? I
- 11:24Speaker 2: got interest in that for sure, and I can't wait.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You So, I know you traditionally don't go to a
- 11:30Speaker 2: lot of the games. I don't either like one or
- 11:33Speaker 2: two a year, which I if you kind of it
- 11:36Speaker 2: is like the best home schedule.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Like ever, what's tough for me is doing the post
- 11:41Speaker 3: game is going with my family. We have to bring
- 11:44Speaker 3: two cars because I'm gonna leave from the game, go
- 11:45Speaker 3: to the studio. They're gonna go home. So it gets
- 11:48Speaker 3: really yeah to bring the family. So if we do that,
- 11:52Speaker 3: I'll usually park my wife's car at the studio, then
- 11:55Speaker 3: we'll drive in. Yeah, I'll go to the studio, they
- 11:57Speaker 3: go home.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Jackson's got to be at that ageoe where he is
- 12:00Speaker 2: starting to like I want to go more. I want
- 12:02Speaker 2: to go more.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he he still doesn't have the attention
- 12:06Speaker 3: span for a full game, Like he'll watch it like
- 12:08Speaker 3: the first half he's locked in and then he's like, Hey,
- 12:10Speaker 3: can I see your phone?
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yeah no, right can't. Oh yeah for sure, Damn phones,
- 12:16Speaker 2: damn screens. Yeah, we are going to go, Like I
- 12:20Speaker 2: hate I don't have the tickets.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah that's the problem. Don't are you going to go
- 12:24Speaker 3: to Clemson? Well, I don't have the tickets. I gotta
- 12:27Speaker 3: find tickets. So I got eight tickets right now. You
- 12:30Speaker 3: can because some valves yeah, really, I mean I want
- 12:34Speaker 3: to go there, Tim on watcher, do y'all do y'all
- 12:37Speaker 3: go to most of the games.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I go to all the homes, all the home games, okay,
- 12:41Speaker 5: because I help with the Yeah, Taylor, what about you?
- 12:45Speaker 4: Good? When I can?
- 12:47Speaker 7: And now he has a baby, so he's not gonna
- 12:49Speaker 7: be able saying, oh.
- 12:51Speaker 3: I mean, I'm I can. I'll go tailgate with the family.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll leave before the game. It's really hard for
- 12:56Speaker 3: me to get a good take on the game. Watch
- 13:00Speaker 3: here from the stands, because you're just reactionary. All right,
- 13:06Speaker 3: we are going to go to break and we come back.
- 13:08Speaker 3: We're gonna talk.
- 13:09Speaker 2: We may. We got football tonight, and we have a
- 13:11Speaker 2: lot of football tonight. There are six, count them, six
- 13:16Speaker 2: NFL games on today.
- 13:18Speaker 3: It's an eight. You practice tonight too.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Get it out of here with that, all right, We're
- 13:24Speaker 2: going to talk about NFL preseason games, little Saints talk

- 14:48Speaker 6: I'm a little bit of ski my hands.
- 14:56Speaker 2: That zone.
- 15:00Speaker 1: By him.
- 15:00Speaker 6: It's touched me and not something that.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Was going.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:11Speaker 2: All right looking back here off the bench Thursday morning.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So are we've like I feel like this has been
- 15:16Speaker 2: one of those shows. It not necessarily uh specific content driven,
- 15:22Speaker 2: it's just been a little bit more emotional reaction. We've
- 15:24Speaker 2: talked to youth sports and a lot of number five's,
- 15:27Speaker 2: a lot of number five. I guess what we can
- 15:32Speaker 2: put all that to the side. Right now? We have
- 15:37Speaker 2: NFL football tonight. I am fired up about some NFL
- 15:41Speaker 2: football light. So last week we got a little teaser
- 15:45Speaker 2: of an incredible game. Like you don't say that about
- 15:48Speaker 2: preseason games too often, but especially the Hall of Fame game.
- 15:51Speaker 2: It's normally a snooze. Yeah, we tune in. We came
- 15:55Speaker 2: for the Carson Beck and we stayed for the Haines
- 15:57Speaker 2: King and my god, it was electric and it was beautiful.
- 16:00Speaker 2: The highlights were incredible. And we got six more preseason
- 16:05Speaker 2: games tonight, teams taking the field for the first time.
- 16:09Speaker 2: At six pm. We have Detroit at Cincinnati and Green
- 16:13Speaker 2: Bay at Pittsburgh. Then at six thirty Indianapolis takes on
- 16:17Speaker 2: New England in Foxboro. And then there's two games at
- 16:21Speaker 2: seven Arizona at Las Vegas, Los Angeles Chargers at Houston Texans,
- 16:26Speaker 2: and then at eight pm we got Tennessee Titans versus
- 16:29Speaker 2: San Francisco forty nine Ers and all of their soft
- 16:32Speaker 2: tissue injuries. Taylor Landra, I'm not gonna ask you which
- 16:38Speaker 2: game you're looking forward to the most, but like, there's
- 16:40Speaker 2: six games on tonight, how are you going to consume
- 16:43Speaker 2: all these.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Things throughout the day? We can do a lot of
- 16:47Speaker 4: phone watching. Phone watching seems like the play here for sure.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I mean, because they're roll on top of each other,
- 16:53Speaker 4: like you have a six six two six is a
- 16:55Speaker 4: six thirty two sevens three sevens and an eight. I
- 16:59Speaker 4: mean they're they're right on top of each other.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, they are all planned at the same time. Who's
- 17:02Speaker 2: the eight o'clock game, eight o'clock Tennessee at San Francisco.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I can watch that one after practice after practice, So, Laudra,
- 17:12Speaker 2: I don't know if you're guy Joe Burrow is gonna
- 17:13Speaker 2: be playing tonight. That's like the big thing right now,
- 17:16Speaker 2: first game of the preseason. How many starting quarterbacks are
- 17:19Speaker 2: actually going to be playing? What kind of playing time?
- 17:21Speaker 2: I know, like, the only one I've heard publicly speak
- 17:24Speaker 2: about it in the last couple of days is Aaron Rodgers.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I don't know why, Like that's just that's just my feed.
- 17:29Speaker 2: That's he says, there's no real benefit to plan, especially
- 17:32Speaker 2: at his ages and ye're twenty twenty one or whatever
- 17:35Speaker 2: it is in the NFL, it's no real benefit to
- 17:36Speaker 2: him playing in the preseason. And you would say the
- 17:39Speaker 2: same for a lot of starting quarterbacks, but young quarterbacks absolutely,
- 17:44Speaker 2: So where you fit Joe Burrow into that? What's okay? Yes, sir,
- 17:49Speaker 2: you in the front row.
- 17:50Speaker 3: So, I mean, I agree with you. At twenty one years,
- 17:52Speaker 3: there's no benefit to him playing. But if you had
- 17:56Speaker 3: some maybe rookie wide receiver, some young receiver that you're
- 17:59Speaker 3: still trying to build, mustry with, would you see value
- 18:01Speaker 3: in maybe taking.
- 18:02Speaker 2: A yeah two, yeah, at some point in the in
- 18:05Speaker 2: the preseas, maybe not week maybe not two weeks worth
- 18:08Speaker 2: of practice. Maybe get another weekend, but.
- 18:11Speaker 3: You know, you want to get a couple of drives
- 18:13Speaker 3: in with new guys, just to build a little bit
- 18:14Speaker 3: of cameras.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Game ones. Always it's always so vanilla, right, I could
- 18:18Speaker 2: have predicted half the plays last week in that game.
- 18:21Speaker 2: There's gonna be naked bootlegs. You're gonna throw it to
- 18:23Speaker 2: the flight, You're gonna run STI routes. You're gonna run
- 18:24Speaker 2: a double like stutter go or a slow go on
- 18:26Speaker 2: the outside. I don't think any defense last week played
- 18:30Speaker 2: anything outside of Cover four, maybe a cover cover half.
- 18:34Speaker 2: A couple of times potentially in a two minute situation,
- 18:37Speaker 2: they played cloud coverage and they did three strong three
- 18:40Speaker 2: with they did like three buzz. There was no blitzing.
- 18:42Speaker 2: There was It was basic routes, basic defenses. And that's
- 18:46Speaker 2: what you're gonna get tonight. You're gonna get a lot
- 18:48Speaker 2: of basic coverages. These games are gonna be exciting in
- 18:50Speaker 2: the in the fourth quarter because you're gonna have a
- 18:52Speaker 2: lot of guys like fighting for spots on a roster,
- 18:56Speaker 2: fighting their tails off to play. But it's gonna be
- 18:58Speaker 2: very basic stuff, but it is. There's there's beauty in
- 19:02Speaker 2: that as well. So Week one of the preseason, Yeah,
- 19:05Speaker 2: these these tenured starting quarterbacks trying to get timing and
- 19:09Speaker 2: stuff down with receiver. This really isn't the time to
- 19:11Speaker 2: do it. Yeah, Game two, Game three, maybe potentially, Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 2: get out there for for a set number plays or
- 19:17Speaker 2: set number of drives to, you know, just so they
- 19:19Speaker 2: can get used to seeing your hand signals your cadence
- 19:22Speaker 2: in a game. How things are maybe a little bit different,
- 19:25Speaker 2: but the vanilla games probably there's probably not a lot
- 19:27Speaker 2: of benefit to your.
- 19:29Speaker 3: First preseason game. Do you remember being really nervous? Oh
- 19:32Speaker 3: my god, yeah, for sure.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I was.
- 19:34Speaker 3: What I was scared about was the special team's part.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Like I didn't play special teams in college. They never
- 19:39Speaker 3: wanted me to. I started as a true freshman, like,
- 19:41Speaker 3: we need to just focus on this, and that was
- 19:44Speaker 3: the part of the game that I was still trying
- 19:45Speaker 3: to learn. But I know that like being freaked out.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I went out the very first drive with the first
- 19:50Speaker 3: team and the first person I ever blocked in the NFL,
- 19:53Speaker 3: with James Harrison, and I remember being like, this is
- 19:55Speaker 3: gonna suck. And he didn't even move, like I just
- 19:58Speaker 3: hit him. He's like, you're good, buddy, Yeah you got it.
- 20:01Speaker 3: You got a rook I'm just trying to get out
- 20:02Speaker 3: of here. You're like, no, I'm gonna try to But
- 20:04Speaker 3: I dominated that boy. He didn't make a play. Flat
- 20:07Speaker 3: back you right now? Did you get them or do
- 20:10Speaker 3: you stop? You were like, yes, sir, I'll stop. I
- 20:12Speaker 3: won the block. You let me win the blind nice
- 20:15Speaker 3: of them.

- 21:15Speaker 2: does anything stick out to you tonight in all this
- 21:17Speaker 2: slate of games that you're just like, man, this is
- 21:20Speaker 2: this is a good this is gonna make for a
- 21:22Speaker 2: good storyline. This is kind of really looking forward to seeing,
- 21:25Speaker 2: you know, maybe it's a position battle, maybe it's just
- 21:27Speaker 2: seeing the team, maybe it's a new coach, whatever it is,
- 21:29Speaker 2: anything you're looking for to tonight.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Yeah, two games Colts Patriots, Cardinals Raiders. For the Colts,
- 21:35Speaker 4: Anthony Richardson's starting, and we haven't seen him on a
- 21:37Speaker 4: football field in quite a while. He was hurt all
- 21:40Speaker 4: last year he got beat out by Daniel Jones. Anyways,
- 21:43Speaker 4: this is the last opportunity for Anthony Richardson to show, hey,
- 21:46Speaker 4: I have something, keep me around for some purpose. They're
- 21:50Speaker 4: going to go him straight to Riley Leonard because Daniel
- 21:52Speaker 4: Jones still rehappy and obviously he's not going to play,
- 21:55Speaker 4: so Le'll be keeping an eye on Daniel Jones, I
- 21:57Speaker 4: mean Anthony Richardson to what he looks like.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I got a lot of the game. He does probably
- 22:01Speaker 2: the most.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Gain of any quarterback playing tonight and then sticking with
- 22:05Speaker 4: the quarterback position. It's not confirmed one hundred percent of
- 22:08Speaker 4: whether or not he's starting, but Fernando Mendoza is supposed
- 22:10Speaker 4: to make his debut tonight against the Cardinals. Interested to
- 22:14Speaker 4: see how he looks. It seems like they are going
- 22:17Speaker 4: to go with Kirk Cousins at least initially. Regular season
- 22:20Speaker 4: seems to be where a lot of people are leaning.
- 22:22Speaker 4: But a lot of people want to see the.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Number one one. Give him the start.
- 22:25Speaker 4: The reason I start Fernando what he does in that
- 22:28Speaker 4: offense Nandal Lurian against a defense that I mean wasn't
- 22:34Speaker 4: very good a week ago. They're not predicted to be
- 22:36Speaker 4: very good house Fernando looks, so I guess Richardson and Mendoza.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm interested to see cam Ward. I'm assuming he's
- 22:43Speaker 2: going to play some tonight Tennessee taking on San Francisco
- 22:46Speaker 2: in the later game starts at eight pm, playing out
- 22:48Speaker 2: in San Francisco. Interested to see him just because another
- 22:53Speaker 2: obviously the top draft pick in twenty twenty five and
- 22:58Speaker 2: making that just like Tyler Shuck making that a year
- 23:00Speaker 2: one to two jump man. He looked very good at
- 23:05Speaker 2: times last year. Really bad team last year, really bad roster.
- 23:08Speaker 2: That's why you bring in a new coach. But like, look,
- 23:11Speaker 2: he is, uh, he's one of these guys that I
- 23:12Speaker 2: think is a dog, and I think he is going
- 23:14Speaker 2: to have a bright He's got a bright future in
- 23:16Speaker 2: the NFL. Like to see his progression this year with
- 23:19Speaker 2: a new coach. You know, I think they're they're certainly
- 23:22Speaker 2: not there from a talent perspective. They got a ways
- 23:25Speaker 2: to go. So I mean, I'm not looking at them
- 23:27Speaker 2: having like this huge, crazy year, but I'm looking I'm
- 23:30Speaker 2: looking for cam Ward to have a lot of improvement
- 23:32Speaker 2: this year with his consistently consistency in his gameplay. And
- 23:35Speaker 2: so it kind of starts tonight, So we get we
- 23:37Speaker 2: get a chance to see number one pick from this
- 23:39Speaker 2: year play, number one pick from last year play, and
- 23:43Speaker 2: it's gonna be it's gonna be a good six games
- 23:46Speaker 2: on a Thursday. I mean, we made it, people, We've
- 23:49Speaker 2: officially made here. We've made it through the offseason. Now
- 23:53Speaker 2: we got football to look forward to. I get it,
- 23:55Speaker 2: it's preseason, but my god, it's still beautiful. So uh,
- 24:00Speaker 2: I'm I'll be locked in.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I was watching the practice clips on YouTube last night.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Right clips has been really good. There's like Western Davis
- 24:09Speaker 3: looks good, like he's gotten in good shape, looks like
- 24:11Speaker 3: he's a what that strength coach? Whatever they did some
- 24:14Speaker 3: of those offensive linemen. If you look at the pictures
- 24:15Speaker 3: when they got here last year, what they're looking like now,
- 24:19Speaker 3: they've they've trimmed.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Up a lot. Ye, Taylor, you heard something that I
- 24:26Speaker 2: think kind of triggered you this morning talking about Joe
- 24:30Speaker 2: Burrah not being elite.
- 24:32Speaker 3: No, that was me, that was you. Yeah, I've listened
- 24:34Speaker 3: to it on the way and it was pretty bad.
- 24:36Speaker 3: It was Chris Canty in the morning.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Oh, but Chris Canty like hates Joe Burra. He's always
- 24:41Speaker 5: saying stuff. I feel like I always hear Chris Canty
- 24:44Speaker 5: talking negatively about Joe Burrow, all right, Like I think
- 24:47Speaker 5: that's a hill that he's gonna die on.
- 24:49Speaker 6: But what was he saying.
- 24:50Speaker 3: He was basically saying that, you know, he has to
- 24:53Speaker 3: make the playoffs this year. You can no longer call
- 24:55Speaker 3: him elite or Tier one quarterback. Because no, no Elie
- 25:00Speaker 3: or you know, to your one quarterback, think of a
- 25:02Speaker 3: one quarterback has ever gone four years in a row
- 25:04Speaker 3: without making the playoffs other than Dan Marino.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Okay, I get that, but like to her point, he's
- 25:08Speaker 4: been doing this for two years now, like it's it's
- 25:10Speaker 4: been a thing for him. It's it's weird. I think
- 25:12Speaker 4: he just does it her clicks, and like, I get that,
- 25:15Speaker 4: you need to make the playoffs. The team's been beat
- 25:17Speaker 4: all hell, he's fallen through multiple injuries, but like.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Like last year here were scoring thirty five, thirty eight points.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Yeah, losing their defense was abound.
- 25:24Speaker 3: But it's funny. I didn't know that history, but you
- 25:26Speaker 3: could really tell him. He went on and on and
- 25:29Speaker 3: on about it, right, and he kept saying that, like,
- 25:31Speaker 3: you know, he's protected. No one gives him any flak.
- 25:34Speaker 3: You know, he always gets a pass and no one ever,
- 25:36Speaker 3: you know, goes at him.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Yeah, like they're fair passes though.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's a fair point to make if
- 25:42Speaker 2: you're just looking at outcomes, yeah, and outcomes of the season.
- 25:45Speaker 2: But he's also I've also heard him absolutely trash Sack
- 25:50Speaker 2: Taylor and rightfully, so like that it's a bad organization
- 25:54Speaker 2: have not surrounded with the longest tenured coach in the
- 25:56Speaker 2: FC North. Yeah, he trashes Joe Berry and I have.
- 26:00Speaker 3: But if you go to that standpoint, I mean, what
- 26:02Speaker 3: if he trashed Matt Stafford his first eight years in there?
- 26:06Speaker 2: Probably well, I don't know, it's a good question. But
- 26:09Speaker 2: he what I heard him getting on a tangent before.
- 26:12Speaker 2: He is getting mad at Joe Burrow, but like really
- 26:14Speaker 2: mad at the organization because he gets he gets upset
- 26:17Speaker 2: that Joe Burrow got what he wanted and they paid
- 26:20Speaker 2: two receivers because nobody pays two receivers like that, which
- 26:23Speaker 2: affects it. Yeah, I agree with that point, but I
- 26:26Speaker 2: think Joe Burrow takes the brunt of that argument. But
- 26:29Speaker 2: I mean it is a fair point because the league
- 26:32Speaker 2: quarterbacks make the playoffs like you make the playoffs. But
- 26:35Speaker 2: is a damn Marino like in the short window that
- 26:39Speaker 2: Joe Burrow's had in his career and then but his
- 26:41Speaker 2: college career on top of it, is a damn Marino
- 26:43Speaker 2: if he's in a bad organization, bad team, is a
- 26:45Speaker 2: damn Marino comparison?
- 26:46Speaker 4: Off base, No, not not necessarily.
- 26:50Speaker 2: It's weird to say that because DA Marine is a
- 26:52Speaker 2: legend and he was in Aspatura and like you know,
- 26:55Speaker 2: we he's on a pedestal for a lot of younger
- 26:57Speaker 2: people right now. But if you look at careers and
- 27:00Speaker 2: numbers and what they've done in college and what they've
- 27:03Speaker 2: done in their first however many years, is the comparison
- 27:06Speaker 2: to this point off base.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Well, and then remember Dan went to the Super Bowl
- 27:09Speaker 4: early on lost. He never went back like Burro shove.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Off. No, I don't think it's I don't think it's
- 27:17Speaker 2: the insul. I think it was just saying of all
- 27:19Speaker 2: the quarterback it's been a while since old Danny boys
- 27:21Speaker 2: played like it's been a while, like when we've don't
- 27:24Speaker 2: there's no other quarterback that we would consider elite that
- 27:28Speaker 2: has ever gone four years without making the playoff.
- 27:31Speaker 4: But when he was in the playoffs, he was so good. Remember,
- 27:34Speaker 4: like everybody like he was the one that could be
- 27:35Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes. He led the damn Cincinnati Bengals to the
- 27:38Speaker 4: Super Bowl. So like, yes, he hasn't made the playoffs,
- 27:41Speaker 4: but then you look at guys and I love him,
- 27:43Speaker 4: but like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson who have kind
- 27:46Speaker 4: of underperformed in the playoffs, I mean, let's call it
- 27:49Speaker 4: like it is. The last time Burrows there, he was
- 27:51Speaker 4: really good, all right?
- 27:52Speaker 3: Cincinnati paid Terrell Owens and Ojo Sinko, didn't they. I
- 27:55Speaker 3: don't know how much money they were making later in
- 27:57Speaker 3: their career.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 27:58Speaker 6: New juice picks just oh wow.
- 28:01Speaker 7: Remember we couldn't tell if he loved juice behind or not.
- 28:05Speaker 2: How do we know it's the same juice.
- 28:06Speaker 6: It might be a different juice.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I know the kennel he uses. It's a really good kennel.
- 28:09Speaker 3: I got a buddy of mine that trains up there. Yeah,
- 28:11Speaker 3: beautiful dogs and like I get get the tea. My
- 28:14Speaker 3: dog has been just got back? Was it the kennel
- 28:17Speaker 3: for six months training? Getting in the duck season? It happens.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I think it's crazy that he's spending money on a
- 28:24Speaker 3: duck dog that. I don't know if Lane really duck hunts.
- 28:26Speaker 6: True, I don't think he does. He's ever posted a picture.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Now, his son posted a picture. When they first got here,
- 28:32Speaker 3: somebody took him on a duck hunt and they brought juice.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Yeah, there we go.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I just got you got a question of juice is real?
- 28:38Speaker 6: I know it could be a it could be a
- 28:41Speaker 6: ju or alone.
- 28:42Speaker 2: That's a fake dog.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Wait, wasn't it. He was on one of the barstool
- 28:46Speaker 3: shows maybe or I think it was Barstool and they
- 28:49Speaker 3: made him FaceTime Juice. It's just a big cat said,
- 28:55Speaker 3: it's real. They called the trainer FaceTime Juice and they
- 28:58Speaker 3: made Juice stay in another and the well he made
- 29:02Speaker 3: juice it got outside of the house and they said
- 29:04Speaker 3: call him Juice. Juice came running. Confirmed.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Oh, I mean that that is pretty like hard hitting evidence.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Big cap broke it down. It's settled.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Not ai. Did Juice have a jersey on? No?
- 29:20Speaker 6: I think he was just a job No, no, no
- 29:25Speaker 6: jersey on Juice. He's cute, though, this is.
- 29:28Speaker 2: One of those moments, like with this whole Jane Daniel saying,
- 29:31Speaker 2: this is one of those moments that you wish that
- 29:32Speaker 2: Lane didn't quit social media.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I wish that a lot, actually, but especially right now.
- 29:40Speaker 2: But back to the Joe Burrow Dann Marina thing. I
- 29:43Speaker 2: think it remains to be seen. If Joe Burrow is
- 29:47Speaker 2: ever in a cult classic comedy movie, I think that's
- 29:51Speaker 2: going to kind of make that comparison really hit home.
- 29:53Speaker 2: If he's in a like an are type movie for
- 29:56Speaker 2: that generation.
- 29:57Speaker 6: Okay, I mean damn like he was really.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Good in it too.
- 30:02Speaker 6: Biggest accomplishment, Dan Marino go to the met Ball.
- 30:07Speaker 4: It's a good point. I don't think he did.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Just saying did he go to Parish Fashion Week? I
- 30:13Speaker 5: don't think so.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Didn't wear backless?
- 30:15Speaker 2: Jackne you got any more of that gum? Say hello
- 30:20Speaker 2: to Captain m hm, say buddy, Captain Captain wink I
- 30:25Speaker 2: don't know who that is, if that's a given name
- 30:27Speaker 2: or on the berth certific, but it's Captain Winkie. All right,
- 30:30Speaker 2: we love you Dan, I love you Joe. Stick with
- 30:32Speaker 2: us right here and off the bench, all right. Go
- 30:38Speaker 2: to Pelican roof dot com. Pelican roof dot com. Of course,

- 32:18Speaker 7: The more you say it, the more natural it comes.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Absolutely, but you I don't love it, thank you. It's
- 32:24Speaker 6: not my favorite.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It's not you know what My favorite.
- 32:27Speaker 7: Is Catterast Catterists the LNG.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah. When you think about Louisiana, you think about energy.
- 32:34Speaker 2: In one company helping shape that future, Richard Is Catterist.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Catterists is developing the Commonwealth LNG Export Facility in Cameron Parish,

- 33:22Speaker 2: connecting Louisiana energy to the world. Okay, so we've had
- 33:28Speaker 2: some discussions here many times about you know, favorite alternate uniforms.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Season started. People are like to get creative. There's teams
- 33:37Speaker 2: that roll out multiple alternate uniforms every year. There's some
- 33:40Speaker 2: people that do it right. In the NFL, we see
- 33:43Speaker 2: we see a lot of the throwback uniforms that are
- 33:45Speaker 2: just awesome. What's Tampa's They call them the orange cream
- 33:51Speaker 2: Like like anything is Like, do I want to say cream?
- 33:55Speaker 2: Cigle Right, didn't want to come off like an idiot.
- 34:00Speaker 6: Yeah, well we're both idiots.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's fine to tb but a lot
- 34:07Speaker 2: of people do it right. But more often than not,
- 34:09Speaker 2: I think people get it wrong.
- 34:13Speaker 6: Steelers is awful.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Steelers is bad.
- 34:16Speaker 4: They released one last week. It's terrible.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Oh the gray one. Yeah, Green Bays I hate say
- 34:21Speaker 2: it never great. It's hard to do Green Bays because
- 34:24Speaker 2: it's like brown and Navy, So it's hard to do
- 34:27Speaker 2: that one. Well, there is a local team that has
- 34:32Speaker 2: knocked it out of the park. They did it the
- 34:34Speaker 2: right way, and I think they've done this. They've found
- 34:37Speaker 2: a way to absolutely crush most of their alternate uniforms.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Two Lane, the Green Wave, My god. They released their
- 34:44Speaker 2: video for their new alternate uniforms and it is beautiful.
- 34:48Speaker 6: Play that video, Taylor, did you want the I thought
- 34:53Speaker 6: you were.
- 34:56Speaker 2: So they have they release this a little hype video
- 34:59Speaker 2: and uh, we got the Marty Grass beads on the helmet.
- 35:04Speaker 6: The beads are sick.
- 35:05Speaker 2: The beads are sick and like a green green a green.
- 35:11Speaker 6: Jersey number eighteen.
- 35:14Speaker 3: That's how they got to.
- 35:15Speaker 7: The pants have like these really cool details.
- 35:18Speaker 6: That I didn't see the pants the they have.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Like green, purple yellow on them or gold. I guess
- 35:25Speaker 5: I watch the pants that the pants are cool. They
- 35:27Speaker 5: it's going down the side of the pants, did.
- 35:30Speaker 2: It the right way? And this like objectively looks Is
- 35:33Speaker 2: that a king Cake on the front of the helmet?
- 35:35Speaker 3: I think it was that was a king cake on
- 35:37Speaker 3: the front.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Of the helmet.
- 35:38Speaker 7: The Wave has a little hat, a Marty girl hat
- 35:42Speaker 7: on sea.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like the Gingham pattern.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yea, these are awesome.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Those are awesome uniform the.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Best alternate in college football right now.
- 35:54Speaker 2: So white pants with the gingham side the purple gold green,
- 36:00Speaker 2: and then they have green socks, a green jersey in it.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Badass helmet. Yeah, the helmet's really good. And I didn't
- 36:07Speaker 2: notice when I first watched it. I didn't notice a
- 36:09Speaker 2: little kin cake in the front. Look at that got
- 36:13Speaker 2: the Marti gras b So if you if you're listening
- 36:15Speaker 2: to radio, go when you get to your phone, get
- 36:17Speaker 2: to your computer, just look it up.
- 36:19Speaker 5: It is.
- 36:20Speaker 2: It's really cool and look alternate uniforms. Think what you want.
- 36:23Speaker 2: It's cool. I know we all like the traditional, but
- 36:26Speaker 2: with Tulane they've done it really good the last couple
- 36:28Speaker 2: of years. Yeah, well didn't they do one with the
- 36:31Speaker 2: street sign that was really cool and Taylor you found
- 36:36Speaker 2: some maybe a little jab. Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 4: I believe they're going to debut these against South Alabama.
- 36:46Speaker 4: And if you everybody like Marti Gral was invented there
- 36:52Speaker 4: in New Orleans is like, yeah, we do it better,
- 36:53Speaker 4: so dab you and it against South Alabama from Mobile,
- 36:56Speaker 4: very clever.
- 36:57Speaker 3: What I hate about Mobile, Marti Gral, It's all like tales,
- 37:01Speaker 3: like the penguin suits, that's what like the tales. The tuxedos.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Oh gotcha, they got the old school.
- 37:08Speaker 3: That's like the tradition of Mobile. So I've been to
- 37:10Speaker 3: a couple you need like a monicle, Mobile and Marti
- 37:13Speaker 3: Gral balls and gotta wear Tales.
- 37:14Speaker 2: You gotta wear that's like a thing. You gotta wear
- 37:16Speaker 2: Tales dress code.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Everyone I've been to.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Huh, it'll be September twelfth against South Alabama.
- 37:23Speaker 2: So see, I see it was. It's been the last
- 37:27Speaker 2: within the last five or ten years that I've realized
- 37:29Speaker 2: that Mobile like thinks that they claim Marti Gras or
- 37:33Speaker 2: something like that.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Genuinely generally think that growing up forty five minutes for Mobile,
- 37:38Speaker 3: it's all I've always.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Heard that they started it. They think they started and.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Started there, like the Marti Gral celebration, Yeah, was like
- 37:48Speaker 4: vented and Mobile allegedly.
- 37:51Speaker 2: So Mobile's like Clemson Death Valley.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Yeah, because they'll claim their first. But it's like, yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 4: but are you the best at it? Like you put
- 38:00Speaker 4: it in that perspective, it makes so much more sense.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I didn't realize that Clinton was Death Valley first. I
- 38:06Speaker 4: don't know that's what they claim. That's what they claim.
- 38:08Speaker 5: But again, Mobile claims to be the birthplace of Marty Gral.
- 38:13Speaker 6: Now I'm just reading.
- 38:14Speaker 7: I'm not I'm not breaking it like this, don't shoot
- 38:17Speaker 7: the messenger.
- 38:18Speaker 6: I'm not saying one way or the other. I'm just
- 38:21Speaker 6: reading what the Internet says.
- 38:23Speaker 5: A Mobile claims to be the birthplace of Marty Girl
- 38:26Speaker 5: in the United States because it hosted the first organized
- 38:29Speaker 5: carnival celebrations and secret societies years.
- 38:32Speaker 6: Before New Orleans was founded.
- 38:34Speaker 5: So we did see a weird like a weird masonry
- 38:39Speaker 5: freemasonry building or something.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Mobile does have a free mason. Yeah, build like
- 38:44Speaker 2: a lodge with no windows. It looks like like an
- 38:47Speaker 2: Egyptian temple.
- 38:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 2: We were walking to get that chest. Oh yeah, they
- 38:54Speaker 2: had these the sphinxes.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Spinxes and the big Yeah. Like whoever made him was like,
- 39:01Speaker 5: We're gonna give him.
- 39:02Speaker 6: The biggest boobs ever.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, bigger.
- 39:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 4: How does the sculpture look?
- 39:10Speaker 2: God, you gotta make them bigger, more pointy.
- 39:13Speaker 3: I immediately just thought of like Jim Carrey and.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Meyer liar, what with part the elevator. Yeah, the elev scene.
- 39:22Speaker 3: M So, my little brother and we were watching that
- 39:25Speaker 3: movie and when we were kids, like he was in
- 39:27Speaker 3: third or fourth grade and he got in trouble at school.
- 39:29Speaker 3: The next day. Oh gosh, so he went and told
- 39:31Speaker 3: that like the teacher yeah, and she's like, luckily, I
- 39:34Speaker 3: watched that movie last night too.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I know you're quoting a movie, but please do not
- 39:38Speaker 2: quote that movie ever again at school. But anyway, shout
- 39:42Speaker 2: out to the Green Wave. We probably don't give him
- 39:45Speaker 2: as enough love here on this show.
- 39:47Speaker 3: I love that two lanes good. Yeah, that's just you know,
- 39:52Speaker 3: having another team. I think we're putting them back on
- 39:54Speaker 3: the schedule here pretty soon. I think I saw, like
- 39:57Speaker 3: thirty man. Hopefully they got rid of all their eye
- 39:58Speaker 3: gougers on the team. I gouge my out my eye
- 40:03Speaker 3: long time ago. We should have blocked. Yeah, you probably
- 40:06Speaker 3: should have. But it's okay. It's a team sport. I
- 40:08Speaker 3: would never blame anybody else. Maybe to y'all, all right,
- 40:14Speaker 3: what was your favorite LSU alternate?
- 40:16Speaker 2: You know what. I was actually cleaning up my closet
- 40:18Speaker 2: the other day and I have in a box I
- 40:21Speaker 2: have our seven. That is my favorite one too. I
- 40:24Speaker 2: have it all folded up and yeah, I found that
- 40:26Speaker 2: uniform that I don't have, the helmet, got everything else.
- 40:29Speaker 3: I see clips from that game. That was I think
- 40:31Speaker 3: one of the cleanest alternate uniforms.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Was clans, got bloodstains all over it. Yeah, from the
- 40:38Speaker 2: from the eye gouging, from the ey gouging and Richard
- 40:40Speaker 2: not blocking for me. It's like an idiot, Did you
- 40:47Speaker 2: did you get your ass kicked that game? No? Yeah
- 40:49Speaker 2: you did.
- 40:50Speaker 3: I saved us, broke a big play to get us
- 40:53Speaker 3: a field goal to tie it up at half time.
- 40:56Speaker 2: We did it. We were tried at halftime.
- 40:58Speaker 3: I remember, you know, if you remember our traditional games,
- 41:02Speaker 3: we split headphones. I'll always have to have the other
- 41:05Speaker 3: one in.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:06Speaker 3: And I remember at six in the morning listening to
- 41:09Speaker 3: Dave Matthews, We're like, this is.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Missing and hitting right now.
- 41:12Speaker 6: Dave Matthews is crazy.
- 41:13Speaker 2: So matt had like seven songs he played in a
- 41:16Speaker 2: row before every game. Yeah, same order, that never changed
- 41:18Speaker 2: even through the pros. And then like it's like, yeah,
- 41:21Speaker 2: this hype up song ain't hitting. At six fifteen in
- 41:23Speaker 2: the morning, I just had my Filet Mignon at five
- 41:26Speaker 2: forty five am, the sleepy name.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Didn't the game start like ten thirty it was an
- 41:31Speaker 3: early kickoff. It's ten thirty. Yeah, it sucked. It's terrible.
- 41:35Speaker 3: It's the worst. Don't ever do it again. And that
- 41:38Speaker 3: I got her should be in prison right now. All right,
- 41:40Speaker 3: we're gonna go to break. We'll come back for you.

- 43:49Speaker 2: for the next five years. He's not gonna miss another day.
- 43:54Speaker 2: This is it for him.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Yeah, sorry, so Jake, you've had your fun Like.
- 43:59Speaker 2: This one trip along own was probably ten more days
- 44:04Speaker 2: than he said he would miss when he recruited me
- 44:06Speaker 2: to do this show. And like ever he said, I'm
- 44:10Speaker 2: not I'll never miss you know, maybe once every year.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Didn't do it.
- 44:16Speaker 4: He's skipping Christmas. Every other day he's here.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I know, we're doing postgame. One time I got here
- 44:21Speaker 3: and Charlie was running late and I told him. I
- 44:23Speaker 3: was like, look like I can come up here and talk.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I'm leaving. Yeah, I'm not doing it.
- 44:27Speaker 2: So that's how it was this past fall when we
- 44:30Speaker 2: were We're going to Rouss for a football Friday, and
- 44:33Speaker 2: when you believe it was, I feel like, yeah, it
- 44:36Speaker 2: is Katie that messages right in the morning saying like, hey, Jake,
- 44:40Speaker 2: is a bad situation. And I said, look, maybe we
- 44:47Speaker 2: could do this like in studio for sure, but like
- 44:50Speaker 2: on the remote you're just see you and the microphone
- 44:53Speaker 2: that it's not me. Nobody wants to hear me do that.
- 44:55Speaker 2: For that long, I was like, look, we're just gonna
- 44:58Speaker 2: have to go to national go ahead. It's not that
- 45:02Speaker 2: like I won't. I just I don't think I can.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Like, that's the most panic phone call I've ever gotten
- 45:06Speaker 3: from you.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't panic real easy, but oh dog, that
- 45:12Speaker 2: was not good, especially a little bit panicked. Honestly a
- 45:17Speaker 2: couple of months ago when he said he was going
- 45:18Speaker 2: on this big trip like in August, I was like,
- 45:21Speaker 2: my god, that's it's a long time. People are gonna
- 45:23Speaker 2: get tired of to hear my voice. And I think
- 45:24Speaker 2: I'm I think I'm right. I think I nailed that
- 45:28Speaker 2: as well. Yeah, we've made it and we've survived. We
- 45:31Speaker 2: haven't gotten canceled, we haven't gotten fired, So it's good.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I think that's a win, doing great job. You know
- 45:41Speaker 2: what we always like every time I want to talk
- 45:43Speaker 2: about someone buying the Lakers.
- 45:47Speaker 4: I was about to ask, every.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Time I want to talk about the Lakers selling for
- 45:51Speaker 2: the second time in a year, pretty much, so we
- 45:54Speaker 2: start talking about random sold for.
- 45:56Speaker 6: Twelve billions because no one cares.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it's kind of old new. I talked
- 46:00Speaker 3: about this yesterday, but twelve and a half billion, twelve
- 46:03Speaker 3: and a half, what did it?
- 46:04Speaker 2: What did the guy buy it for to ten a
- 46:07Speaker 2: lot in twenty twenty five. That's a really great investment.
- 46:10Speaker 2: So of like, if your friends are no of a
- 46:12Speaker 2: way to get in contact with the former CEO of Disney,
- 46:16Speaker 2: then you can just sell your company for however much
- 46:20Speaker 2: it's worth.
- 46:21Speaker 3: I think that like looking back at the progression of
- 46:25Speaker 3: what these teams have gone for, what Jerry Jones Boy
- 46:27Speaker 3: Cow was for like one hundred and eighty nine million.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah, Jerry Jones got to be looking
- 46:31Speaker 2: at chops. Let's talk about that on the other side
- 46:32Speaker 2: when we get back here on our number three and
- 46:34Speaker 2: off the bench.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Off the bench, all.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Right, go to rejuven me Medical dot com. Rejuven me
- 46:41Speaker 2: Medical dot com. They are the best in the business
