- 1:08Speaker 1: are asking me, Hey, I can't stay up that late? Um?

- 1:33Speaker 1: How much do you think I need to offer the
- 1:35Speaker 1: ice cream truck man to give me some hours off
- 1:38Speaker 1: of the melody? Are you really? Is it really an
- 1:43Speaker 1: issue like that? Is it truly a listen? Somebody once
- 1:45Speaker 1: said that no is just the beginning of a conversation,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and I feel like his insistence on playing pop goes
- 1:55Speaker 1: the Weasel twenty four seven is the beginning of a
- 1:58Speaker 1: conversation between he and I may make a suggestion, go
- 2:02Speaker 1: ahead if you can somehow get a petition going. That's
- 2:09Speaker 1: a lot of work. I know, a Crisp Undy, How
- 2:12Speaker 1: much time does it? Crisp Hundy guests not gonna get
- 2:14Speaker 1: you much. He's gonna be like. The reason why I
- 2:16Speaker 1: keep it on is because when people walk by, they
- 2:21Speaker 1: automatically think, oh, I want ice cream. It's summer, right,
- 2:25Speaker 1: it's in New York right now. It is bro But
- 2:28Speaker 1: I think we could come to some sort of arrangement
- 2:31Speaker 1: like how about you play it at the top of
- 2:33Speaker 1: the hour for five minutes, Pop goes the weasel, bam,
- 2:37Speaker 1: everybody come and get it. Uh huh, and then and
- 2:41Speaker 1: then when you're parked there all day, you don't keep
- 2:43Speaker 1: it on a loople. I'm worried, frankly about the entire
- 2:46Speaker 1: neighborhood sanity. I feel like the real solution is get
- 2:50Speaker 1: him additional songs, alternating music stuff. So is not what
- 3:00Speaker 1: would be on the song, what's in the what are
- 3:03Speaker 1: in the ice cream truck? What's in the catalog for
- 3:06Speaker 1: ice cream truck? The catalog? I don't know, but I
- 3:10Speaker 1: don't understand. I'm i'm, I have so many questions, like
- 3:14Speaker 1: does his rig have other songs? M he's just choosing
- 3:24Speaker 1: like he's sitting there like, hell, let me see uh
- 3:29Speaker 1: coming around a mountain. No, it would be great if
- 3:33Speaker 1: he had some of our songs, like well, what you
- 3:36Speaker 1: trying to get into? But in that ice cream truck
- 3:38Speaker 1: bound do do Do Do Do Do Do Do? Yeah,
- 3:46Speaker 1: that would be amazing. Do do Do Do Do Do
- 3:49Speaker 1: Do Do Do Do I'm sure. I'm sure I'll eventually
- 3:56Speaker 1: zone it out, you know, like I used to. I
- 3:57Speaker 1: grew up next to a train track, and you know, eventually,
- 4:00Speaker 1: have a certain amount of time you never even hear
- 4:02Speaker 1: the trains, and when you occasionally did, it was kind
- 4:04Speaker 1: of nice. I'm thinking that maybe, you know, I just
- 4:07Speaker 1: moved back to New York. I haven't been here since
- 4:09Speaker 1: before the pandemic, and I'm thinking that eventually I'll just
- 4:12Speaker 1: zone out, tune out Pop goes to Weasel. But so far,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I'm very aware of Pop goes to weasel at all. Two?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Do you know the do you know how they do
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know how it is? This is a torture technique
- 4:27Speaker 1: they use on people? Yes? Yes, do you know how?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Do you know the actual lyrics to Pop goes to Weasel?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Have you gone into the rabbit hole yet? Have you been? Like?
- 4:35Speaker 1: But I got binoculars and I stare at the truck
- 4:38Speaker 1: and I'm like a hit man. I stare at the
- 4:40Speaker 1: truck and when I walk by sometimes I look at
- 4:43Speaker 1: the tiny little wire that goes to the to the
- 4:45Speaker 1: pa um you know speaker. Okay, I see how easy
- 4:50Speaker 1: it would be to clip you know, if I had
- 4:51Speaker 1: like some head shears. I could I could just sort
- 4:54Speaker 1: of reach and got reaching here. Now you can't do
- 4:56Speaker 1: anything because you'd be snitching on yourself if anything happens
- 4:59Speaker 1: to this poor guy's ice cream truck. Now, people are
- 5:02Speaker 1: gonna be like Zach Braft did that shit. No, I'm
- 5:05Speaker 1: gonna be like, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna
- 5:07Speaker 1: snip that fucking wire and then I'm gonna leave him
- 5:10Speaker 1: an crisp hundy and envelope and say this is for
- 5:13Speaker 1: wire repair. Come get some ice cream, Come get some
- 5:30Speaker 1: ice cream. Hey, come get some ice cream. You want
- 5:34Speaker 1: some fucking ice cream? I know you fucking want it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You want come come get some ice I do like it.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I like it. That could be a fucking rock ballat
- 5:49Speaker 1: just Power Chords. You fuck you want some ice cream
- 5:53Speaker 1: you want to get Come get some ice cream. I'll
- 6:00Speaker 1: drizzle hot chocolate on it, all around them, all around
- 6:06Speaker 1: your ice cream. I'll dribble chocolate on it. Oh kids,
- 6:11Speaker 1: come get some ice cream. Yeah, all right, we've taken
- 6:15Speaker 1: it too far. That's these areas. Um, Hey, I miss you,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I love you both. We don't have Daniel here today. Everyone, Um, so,
- 6:23Speaker 1: no one will say Zach, I love you. Oh sorry,
- 6:25Speaker 1: Ron Button, you honor me, you you honor you know
- 6:30Speaker 1: I had I've had a lot of technical issues already.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You had technical issues in the beginning. Yeah. Yeah. And
- 6:36Speaker 1: Daniel's not here. I know it's a sign. I bet
- 6:41Speaker 1: he's probably riding that poll right now, trying and get
- 6:43Speaker 1: some money. How about your boy to baby he came
- 6:50Speaker 1: crashing down this week, huh. I don't. I don't even
- 6:53Speaker 1: I haven't even paid attention to what he said. The
- 6:55Speaker 1: baby decided to go full like horrible homeward. I saw today.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I saw today. He's finally like someone got to him
- 7:03Speaker 1: and he's like, I apologize. I didn't even see what
- 7:06Speaker 1: he said, but like he was doubling down, canceled on him.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Everybody was canceling him. Do Elipa took the fucking song,
- 7:12Speaker 1: the number one song that they have together down Lallapaloosa
- 7:16Speaker 1: kicked him off there like he can't perform here anymore.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I don't know anything about the baby other than that
- 7:21Speaker 1: song I've been listening to for like a half a
- 7:23Speaker 1: year with du Alipa um and I like it when
- 7:27Speaker 1: he goes do Alipa with the baby. But I never
- 7:30Speaker 1: knew anything about him, and man did he He fucked up.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He stepped in it, and he didn't even apologize really
- 7:35Speaker 1: until someone someone got to him and said, bro, you're
- 7:37Speaker 1: losing all your show. The half asked apology, Let's be real,
- 7:40Speaker 1: He was like, I needed education to know he was there,
- 7:42Speaker 1: free breathes. He esucation as a tool to not reoffend,
- 7:49Speaker 1: but you cannot use education as an excuse to have
- 7:52Speaker 1: originally offended somebody, like and it's ridiculous, Like you can't
- 7:55Speaker 1: believe what he said, Donald, I'm not even listening. We
- 7:56Speaker 1: don't sense ourselfing pious. I'm not even repeat what this
- 7:59Speaker 1: fucking dude said at his concert. You gotta read and
- 8:02Speaker 1: it's so fun up. It was like, really, he just
- 8:10Speaker 1: started saying the most homophobic and saying shit at his
- 8:12Speaker 1: concert And uh, I don't know what kind of education
- 8:15Speaker 1: he needs to learn that that's horrible to say. And
- 8:21Speaker 1: then his did you see his first attempt an apology
- 8:23Speaker 1: to well, it wasn't an apology. It was like it
- 8:26Speaker 1: was it made it worse. What do you say? Basically,
- 8:30Speaker 1: he was saying, like, um, gay people love my show.
- 8:35Speaker 1: They know they I mean, I'm trying to say it
- 8:38Speaker 1: without saying the shit he said. But he was like,
- 8:40Speaker 1: they don't they don't have Yeah, basically he was Basically
- 8:47Speaker 1: he was saying all this horrible stuff about gay people
- 8:49Speaker 1: and AIDS, and then in his apology he was like, my,
- 8:52Speaker 1: my gay fans know what I'm talking about. They don't
- 8:55Speaker 1: have AIDS. They're clean, they're not They're not like that.
- 8:59Speaker 1: What Yeah, that by the way, by the way, by
- 9:03Speaker 1: the way, by the way, I'm making it even better
- 9:06Speaker 1: for him, like you gotta. I don't really want to
- 9:07Speaker 1: talk about on the show because I don't want the
- 9:09Speaker 1: words to come out of mouth. But read what this
- 9:10Speaker 1: fucking dude said. Do Alipa with the Baby. I can't
- 9:16Speaker 1: listen to that song anymore, really, but you can listen. Yeah, okay,
- 9:20Speaker 1: that's done. I'm gonna listen to the original do Elippa.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Don't worry. I know you're an avid listener. Do Elippa.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna listen to the one before the remixpart on board.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Um yeah, I like Elipa. Should we get into the show, baby,
- 9:32Speaker 1: we should totally get into the show. I do miss you. No,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you don't. I don't feel it. I don't feel it either.
- 9:38Speaker 1: From you. I've been lifting, I've been staying big for you.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I found a gym. Where are you going? I'm not
- 9:43Speaker 1: trying to tell you, but we'll edit it out. I'll
- 9:47Speaker 1: tell you off the air twenty ears. We'll edit it out.
- 9:50Speaker 1: What well, now you're taking my ship. My ship was
- 9:52Speaker 1: so good that it's no longer mine. I got people
- 9:55Speaker 1: on my Instagram call me t ears, and I don't
- 9:56Speaker 1: know how I feel about it. No, don't. By the way,
- 10:00Speaker 1: t ears is really tears, and that's what I feel
- 10:03Speaker 1: and saw when you call me. All right, let's get
- 10:09Speaker 1: into it, Joel. Did you hear our time one hundred thing?
- 10:11Speaker 1: Donal and I did. I saw that you did it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I haven't listened to it. Don't worry about it. I
- 10:22Speaker 1: just can't believe it. Like you know, I just can't
- 10:24Speaker 1: believe that people close to us don't even listen to
- 10:26Speaker 1: our ship. Donald, I didn't listen to it. The woman
- 10:28Speaker 1: who brought me into this world is demanding my attention
- 10:31Speaker 1: for a full well. She slid into my DMS, that woman,
- 10:33Speaker 1: So you tell her she sure did? She sure did.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I confirmed it with her. She was like, yes, it's
- 10:37Speaker 1: me something I turned off my DMS by the way.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I don't want to hear it from anybody ever again.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Why it seems reason because stupidly I was bored, you know,
- 10:47Speaker 1: occasionally and reading dms from strangers, which are ninety nine
- 10:52Speaker 1: percent wonderful and those of you who used to dm me,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I love you and thank you, but occasionally you'd read
- 10:57Speaker 1: a troll and it was like putting me in the
- 10:59Speaker 1: worst move, and I was like, why the fuck am
- 11:01Speaker 1: I reading this? Like why am I reading this? And
- 11:04Speaker 1: I have to It's like a cognitive behavioral thing. I
- 11:07Speaker 1: have to like remove the thing, like otherwise I will
- 11:11Speaker 1: still do it. I'll be sitting there pooping, going hey,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I'll check stranger dms and then I'll read I have
- 11:16Speaker 1: to remove the thing, right, So I just turned off
- 11:19Speaker 1: the ability for people I don't follow to dm me.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry some of you were delightful, but we'll just
- 11:24Speaker 1: be imaginary. That's how I gain weight, dude. Man. It's
- 11:27Speaker 1: like I'll buy a bunch of junk food and I'll
- 11:29Speaker 1: look at it and I'll be like, the only way
- 11:31Speaker 1: this works is if I remove this from the house
- 11:33Speaker 1: and then I'll eat it. Yeah, exactly and exactly. It's
- 11:36Speaker 1: like now that it's gone, I'm good, and then I'll
- 11:40Speaker 1: go out and get it again. That's a behavioral technique.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You just you remove the thing that's causing you the harm.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I never have sugar in the house. I just can't.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm a crack addct with it. Although it's funny, it's
- 11:51Speaker 1: harder being in New York as opposed to being in
- 11:52Speaker 1: LA because when you when no, when you when you
- 11:57Speaker 1: h what do you call a delivery? Whatever? Delivery at
- 12:00Speaker 1: you use postmats. It's here in two seconds, so like
- 12:04Speaker 1: you can be like stoned here, Like I want Ben
- 12:06Speaker 1: and Jerry's. The other night, I was like I needed
- 12:08Speaker 1: Ben and Jerry's right. So I go on the app
- 12:11Speaker 1: and I'm like, um, three pints of Ben and Jerry's. Right.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Guy rings my bell. I go, okay, you can just
- 12:18Speaker 1: um leave it in the elevator, thank you so much.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I buzz them in. Elevator comes up. There's just three
- 12:23Speaker 1: stacked pints of Ben and Jerry's in the elevator. That's
- 12:27Speaker 1: just like Benson. Dude, that ship is like Benson, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: you're just oh my god, that shit is just like Benson.
- 12:33Speaker 1: But it's like but it's but you don't even but
- 12:35Speaker 1: no contact with no contact, Benson, Like, that's what it
- 12:38Speaker 1: feels like. Put in the elevator, and in the elevator,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's like when you're sick in bed and you ring
- 12:42Speaker 1: the bell but it didn't mean yes, and they slide
- 12:44Speaker 1: it under the door. Yes, but dude, it's here in
- 12:47Speaker 1: seconds because everything's everything around the ground is New York City.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So it's like my ice cream took the elevator up alone,
- 12:59Speaker 1: all right? Six seven stories about shore. We made a
- 13:05Speaker 1: bunch of nurses stories. Never should so yet around here, yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 1: around this ship was hilarious. Season five. Season five is
- 13:28Speaker 1: the funniest season I think so far, Right, I think
- 13:31Speaker 1: I have to say I think I have to say
- 13:33Speaker 1: that season five. I know we talked about it being
- 13:35Speaker 1: slightly whackier. I think it's the funniest season so far
- 13:38Speaker 1: so far. Yeah, so far. It doesn't have the most
- 13:41Speaker 1: heart though, so far, even with even with Judy and
- 13:43Speaker 1: the baby and everything like that. So far, season five
- 13:47Speaker 1: doesn't have the moments like seasons one through four have had,
- 13:52Speaker 1: where your where you're gonna sorry. I think there's I
- 13:57Speaker 1: think there's some We'll get there. And by the way,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm just judging by how many notes I take down,
- 14:01Speaker 1: Like I take notes obviously when I laugh or when
- 14:04Speaker 1: I think something's an interesting conversation for the fans that
- 14:07Speaker 1: are listening and for us, and I just find a
- 14:09Speaker 1: season five, I'm taking like five people, so we won't
- 14:12Speaker 1: even get to all this stock because I'm going, that's hilarious,
- 14:15Speaker 1: that's so funny, Oh my god, that was great, what
- 14:17Speaker 1: the hell you know? And I'm just crying. I can
- 14:20Speaker 1: only judge by the anecdotal evidence of how many notes
- 14:23Speaker 1: I take that I'm I'm personally finding this season to
- 14:25Speaker 1: be so fucking frank, I'm laughing out loud pretty much. Yea,
- 14:29Speaker 1: every every few second, not seconds, I'd say every thirty
- 14:34Speaker 1: forty seconds. I'm laughing. There's a laugh, there's a chuckle,
- 14:37Speaker 1: there's a laugh, or I do Julie's favorite line, that's
- 14:40Speaker 1: that's so funny. That's actually pretty by the way, you know,
- 14:42Speaker 1: people have pointed out that we say that's so funny,
- 14:45Speaker 1: or at least I do definitely on this podcast all
- 14:48Speaker 1: the time, and I think you do too. And it's
- 14:53Speaker 1: definitely a comedy writer thing because they're they're around humor
- 14:56Speaker 1: so much. That's often they're sitting in the room, and
- 15:00Speaker 1: they might they're digesting someone's joke pitch, and they'll be like,
- 15:04Speaker 1: that's very funny, that's very funny, but they're not necessarily
- 15:06Speaker 1: laughing because they're kind of just like dig And I wonder, right,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I wonder if that came you're you're you're doing your
- 15:13Speaker 1: own writer's room now, so you know, but I wonder
- 15:14Speaker 1: if that came from Bill in the writer's room of
- 15:17Speaker 1: people being people like digesting someone's funny pitch and being like, yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 1: that's very funny, that's very funny. And then well, why
- 15:24Speaker 1: the fuck aren't you laughing because I'm thinking about it,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm digesting it. But I do that all the time
- 15:28Speaker 1: on here, Like I may have laughed and when I
- 15:30Speaker 1: watched it on the show, but then you and then
- 15:32Speaker 1: you then you remind me of the joke, and I'm like, yes,
- 15:34Speaker 1: that's very funny, that's funny, but it's funny. People have
- 15:37Speaker 1: pointed out to me, like, you know, you say that's
- 15:39Speaker 1: so funny all the time in the podcast, and that's
- 15:41Speaker 1: the thing your character hates about Julie oh Way, Mandy's great.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I have to say she did such a great job,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and I think, you know, I'm gonna say, I wish
- 15:51Speaker 1: we had had her on now. I'm sure she would
- 15:54Speaker 1: have come on, um because you know, we're friendly and
- 15:57Speaker 1: I could have asked her and I didn't. But maybe,
- 15:58Speaker 1: well maybe we have her on another time. But special episode.
- 16:02Speaker 1: She um she really? Uh was she? You can't say
- 16:06Speaker 1: she's not a good comedian. She was. She was. Actually
- 16:10Speaker 1: she was very funny. She did uh the pratfall with
- 16:13Speaker 1: the fucking popcorn. I'll make more. I love I just
- 16:19Speaker 1: love the I love the character of like a beautiful
- 16:22Speaker 1: clutz that's just so falling off the deck. Let's get
- 16:25Speaker 1: into the show, dude, Let's get to we're gonna talk
- 16:28Speaker 1: about the deck. Who built the deck? Dude? Who? First
- 16:32Speaker 1: of all, I bought a half ac or what a
- 16:34Speaker 1: let's let's build just for the audience a girl I
- 16:38Speaker 1: barely know, Like it's brand new. It's one thing to
- 16:40Speaker 1: be like, oh my god, let's get you know, I
- 16:43Speaker 1: don't know what. Let's buy something small together, like that's
- 16:47Speaker 1: a big enough stuff. This isn't even cohabitation yet, but
- 16:50Speaker 1: this is like, oh, let's buy a plot of land together,
- 16:52Speaker 1: which is really weird, very weird, and then let's just
- 16:55Speaker 1: build a deck on it. Well, all we can afford,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I assume was the deck. Who built the deck? Dude, Well,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I hired a contractor. I'm sure I don't know that
- 17:04Speaker 1: any anyone in the history of the world has ever said, Hey,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I can't afford the house yet, so let's just build
- 17:09Speaker 1: a front board. Already the show starts off already, and
- 17:14Speaker 1: you're like, all right, this is this is out there already,
- 17:17Speaker 1: and then can you imagine that? Can you imagine there's
- 17:20Speaker 1: a plot of land next to your house and and
- 17:23Speaker 1: it's empty, and somebody comes and builds a deck like
- 17:26Speaker 1: the doing dude, right, just we talked about it in
- 17:30Speaker 1: the show The neighbors automatically the next door neighbors fucking
- 17:32Speaker 1: hate you, but you play poker with them. They invited
- 17:35Speaker 1: you to poker, but they hate you. Yes, they hate you.
- 17:38Speaker 1: And then on one side they offer to sell me
- 17:40Speaker 1: their baby. What neighborhood is where on one side, on
- 17:45Speaker 1: one side they're like super yuppies, right, and on the
- 17:48Speaker 1: other side they're like trying to sell me their baby.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's a very nice Yeah, totally totally. That sounds like
- 17:54Speaker 1: that nice. It was definitely nice. It would probably a
- 17:58Speaker 1: valley village where we shot at that man engine and
- 18:01Speaker 1: then um ya van Nys is probably more accurate. And
- 18:04Speaker 1: then Mandy does it very as you said, Donald, very
- 18:07Speaker 1: funny backwards fall off the deck that there's no way
- 18:10Speaker 1: she did, because that's a definitely dangerous stunt that a
- 18:13Speaker 1: stunt woman did, because that's how you break a spine
- 18:17Speaker 1: if you don't know what the fuck you're doing. Because
- 18:19Speaker 1: that woman, that woman, whoever she is, I mean, obviously
- 18:22Speaker 1: she hit a map, but she went backwards in a
- 18:24Speaker 1: chair off a deck, which is totally dangerous. Yes, for all,
- 18:32Speaker 1: so you could laugh people that are listening, well, the
- 18:34Speaker 1: tag was great. Also, I ate what did she say?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I ate glass? Oh did she say there's or something
- 18:43Speaker 1: like that? Anyway, by the way, Jenny doesn't even get
- 18:46Speaker 1: up to help her. What the fuss there? Can you
- 18:48Speaker 1: imagine your lover falls off backwards off a deck and
- 18:50Speaker 1: you don't get up. He just sits there like that's
- 18:52Speaker 1: a nightmare, just waiting for the just waiting for the
- 18:56Speaker 1: I can't. That's a nightmare of mine. But that's not
- 18:58Speaker 1: even when the that's not even when the freak when
- 19:01Speaker 1: the opening starts. Oh, it's no, there's so much more
- 19:04Speaker 1: so Carlo, I know this cold open its long, so long.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Carla really wants a baby, right, Yes, and somehow she
- 19:10Speaker 1: upsets the janitor. Yes. Now everyone cringes when they hear
- 19:14Speaker 1: the period. All the men cringe when they hear and
- 19:18Speaker 1: it's true. I must admit it's so immature. But I
- 19:22Speaker 1: think whenever a period does come up, you sort of
- 19:24Speaker 1: I sort of cringe a little bit. And I don't
- 19:25Speaker 1: want to know too many specifics. In fact, when when
- 19:28Speaker 1: when Casey was filling us in on how the whole
- 19:31Speaker 1: tampon things works, I don't even know it. I really don't.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I don't even know a lot of that, like the
- 19:37Speaker 1: the disposal, the removal. I don't really know too much.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm a fake doctor and my my knowledge around the
- 19:43Speaker 1: men sees cycle is limited, is what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: that's how I tune out when that shit happens. That's
- 19:48Speaker 1: how ye When, if ever, Casey doesn't want me to
- 19:51Speaker 1: jump on top of her and wants a sex break,
- 19:54Speaker 1: all she has to say I got my period, and
- 19:56Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah, that shit left. That shit last
- 20:01Speaker 1: three weeks. Guys, like she's probably live. Casey's had her
- 20:07Speaker 1: period for seven years, so the janitor wants to develop
- 20:14Speaker 1: a baby with gills that he can go treasure hunting. Yes, yes,
- 20:20Speaker 1: And then and then Judy Carla upsets him and he
- 20:23Speaker 1: sweat says, I swear on my unborn fish baby's left
- 20:28Speaker 1: she will pay. Yeah, I forgot what did What did
- 20:32Speaker 1: the janitor do to piss off Judy Carla? He was
- 20:36Speaker 1: talking about how he wants to have kids and made
- 20:39Speaker 1: her No, am I wrong? Jowel Yeah, it's the hot nurse. No.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Later on he does that to get back at her.
- 20:46Speaker 1: That's how she makes her, That's how he makes Oh yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 1: he has revengers that he tells that he has, says,
- 20:51Speaker 1: do you look like young car But I thank him
- 20:54Speaker 1: making her wanting to get pregnant so trivial. Uh, that
- 20:58Speaker 1: upsets I forgot what you know? Usually we watched this,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I watched this right before we go live. But this year,
- 21:03Speaker 1: this week our schedule changed a little bit. So I'm
- 21:05Speaker 1: a smineing rusty of all the things we watched this
- 21:08Speaker 1: last week from yeah, um yeah, Scott Rabbidu, my stand
- 21:11Speaker 1: in has a line we always love that. He's the
- 21:13Speaker 1: one who says, yo, glass man, Now what is glass man?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Is that a thing when you rebound off the backboard
- 21:21Speaker 1: in the NBA, it's made of glass. If it's in
- 21:24Speaker 1: a gym, usually the gym backboard is made of it's glass. Like, oh,
- 21:28Speaker 1: so that's a real term, glass man. I mean yeah, sure, Uh,
- 21:35Speaker 1: it's a great it's a great nick it's a great
- 21:37Speaker 1: nickname for somebody who is like you could call somebody
- 21:40Speaker 1: Winds in the NBA, and that's a good nickname because
- 21:43Speaker 1: they clean the glass, you know, they clean the boards.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So that's a regular thing that that that good rebounders
- 21:49Speaker 1: have nicknames related to glass. Yeah. So like Mtumbo was
- 21:52Speaker 1: Mountain Mtumbo because he could block the shot. Uh you
- 21:56Speaker 1: know what I mean, let's not related as a glass No,
- 21:58Speaker 1: what was Dennis Rodman? So glass related? No, he was
- 22:01Speaker 1: the worm because he was slippery and could get to
- 22:03Speaker 1: the he could get a rebound easily. Like glassman is like,
- 22:08Speaker 1: it's just it's it's not a bunch of like you
- 22:11Speaker 1: don't use it for everything. I just used that as
- 22:13Speaker 1: a as a as another version of what glass is.
- 22:18Speaker 1: What glass means. You know, who used to often break
- 22:20Speaker 1: the backboards before they made them unbreakable. A young man
- 22:23Speaker 1: named Darryl Dunkin he had. He had a bunch of nicknames.
- 22:26Speaker 1: What were those nicknames? Do you know? Um the Chocolate
- 22:29Speaker 1: thunder and um and glass Breaker, the Doctor Duncan Stein
- 22:35Speaker 1: I think was one of them. Dude, he passed away.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I don't know who ever decided God rest the soul.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't know Daryl du I don't know who ever
- 22:43Speaker 1: decided in the NBA to stop having the glass the
- 22:46Speaker 1: backboards be breakable. But when I was a child, that
- 22:48Speaker 1: was very I used to go to nets games because
- 22:50Speaker 1: that was my father loved it. I had zero interest.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I was just like the snacks and Duncan the mascot.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I'd always always be looking for Duncan and my father
- 23:01Speaker 1: would scream and it would be embarrassing and that was
- 23:04Speaker 1: the experience, and I'd get ice cream. But um, I
- 23:07Speaker 1: do remember how fun it was when Daryl Dawkins would
- 23:09Speaker 1: break shit. Yeah he did. He did it a couple
- 23:12Speaker 1: of times. Shack did it a couple of times too.
- 23:15Speaker 1: There are a few players that did it. Michael Jordan's
- 23:17Speaker 1: done it, um, but not in the NBA, but like
- 23:19Speaker 1: at a charity game anyway. So let's get back into
- 23:21Speaker 1: the show. Let's talk about Mickey. Okay, Yeah, Turk wants
- 23:26Speaker 1: to eat ribs while having sex. Yeah, that sounds like you.
- 23:30Speaker 1: You might like. No, I don't know how to eat ribs.
- 23:32Speaker 1: That's too messy. But you love ribs and you love sex.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I'll do two things, both of those things. It's like
- 23:38Speaker 1: remember those old school res peanut butter commercials, like you
- 23:41Speaker 1: got your peanut butter, my chocolate. You've got your chocolate
- 23:43Speaker 1: and my peanut butter. Do you remember those? You know
- 23:45Speaker 1: who loves like you? You love ribs and you love
- 23:47Speaker 1: sex with your wife. Yeah, it sounds like perfect for you.
- 23:51Speaker 1: It does. Okay, McCann it kills though, Okay, now the
- 23:55Speaker 1: lot comes out of Mhad's character gets a giant jump
- 23:58Speaker 1: forward in this episode. We learned that his wife was
- 24:02Speaker 1: killed and he's a person of interest but he but
- 24:05Speaker 1: he's also got a sexy nurse on his lap, so
- 24:08Speaker 1: he's not really mourning. No, and she died like a
- 24:10Speaker 1: week ago. No. Yeah, And then later he does get
- 24:14Speaker 1: dragged away by the cops, but well, there's also him
- 24:16Speaker 1: trying to convince Julie to hide the hammer for him. Yes,
- 24:22Speaker 1: poor innocent, poor innocent Mandy Moore is taking the hammer
- 24:26Speaker 1: and being like, sure, I guess I can hide this
- 24:28Speaker 1: for you. So he did it. I mean I remember
- 24:33Speaker 1: it being a bit nebulous if if, if mick Head
- 24:35Speaker 1: was the killer or not. But this is pretty clear
- 24:37Speaker 1: that he did it. I mean, why is he asking
- 24:39Speaker 1: Mandy Moore to hide his hammer? I think he totally
- 24:41Speaker 1: did it. I think he totally did it. But it
- 24:43Speaker 1: doesn't stick. I guess maybe he gets off because he's back,
- 24:47Speaker 1: he gets off. Maybe maybe the cops, maybe the cop man.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Well I know why, because Mandy Moore's fingerprints are all
- 24:53Speaker 1: over the hammer. Well, didn't you wipe it down? Note?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Didn't you wipe the hammer down with your sleeves? Yes?
- 24:57Speaker 1: I did with my with my stup top. Okay, all right,
- 25:00Speaker 1: we'll be right back after these quick words, we'll be
- 25:03Speaker 1: right back. Don't don't don't panic. You right back, and
- 25:14Speaker 1: we're bad, bad. So the guy in Ecologist is so handsome,
- 25:20Speaker 1: and he's by the way, he's a very handsome man,
- 25:22Speaker 1: and I have to say that sometimes. Of course, as
- 25:27Speaker 1: we all know, people that are this beautiful aren't always
- 25:29Speaker 1: the best actors. I thought this guy did a very
- 25:32Speaker 1: fine job for being a character whose sole purposes. Oh
- 25:36Speaker 1: my goodness, Ye're so handsome. Absolutely, and he comes back.
- 25:39Speaker 1: He's on the show. He comes back on the show
- 25:41Speaker 1: a couple of times. Okay, well, it's a very funny.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Runner Jordan is obsessed with getting paps mirrors. She says
- 25:46Speaker 1: she has a lot of Papa because she she I
- 25:50Speaker 1: get I don't think as I understand it, a peraps
- 25:52Speaker 1: mirror is not a comfortable things. Not eleven times, but
- 26:00Speaker 1: it's gone quite a few times. Also, oh my god,
- 26:03Speaker 1: Sarah Chalk, by the way, I texted her after I
- 26:05Speaker 1: watched this because we were texting about something else, and
- 26:07Speaker 1: I said, by the way, I hope you're not getting
- 26:09Speaker 1: tired of me saying this, but this fucking episode. You
- 26:11Speaker 1: are so funny. Her and Judy were great in this episode.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Of course, it's we should mention that it's Judy's episode.
- 26:17Speaker 1: We tried to get her. I don't know what to
- 26:19Speaker 1: come on. What happened Juel? She ignored this. Judy does
- 26:21Speaker 1: not even this happens last time too, where I think
- 26:25Speaker 1: maybe like I emailed her and she's like, oh I
- 26:27Speaker 1: just didn't see it. So hopefully that's oh, well, we
- 26:29Speaker 1: have Judy on. We gotta get Jude on this Anyway,
- 26:31Speaker 1: this is the episode that Judy. Because Judy's always so
- 26:33Speaker 1: great on this podcast, we want to have her back.
- 26:35Speaker 1: But anyway, this is the episode. It's called Her Story two.
- 26:38Speaker 1: It's the time that Judy does the narration. What are
- 26:41Speaker 1: you laughing at? I swear I'm not. I'm just happen
- 26:47Speaker 1: to be in a good mood. Are you? Are you
- 26:49Speaker 1: annoyed by my Sarahtony, I'm not annoyed at all. I'm
- 26:52Speaker 1: very happy. This is exact all. All right, So look,
- 26:55Speaker 1: so it doesn't last long. If you want to do
- 26:57Speaker 1: this in an hour, I'm surebably can't. I got to
- 26:59Speaker 1: go back to I gotta go back to my writer's room. Okay,
- 27:01Speaker 1: I was kidding. It was a joke, Zach. Carla turns
- 27:05Speaker 1: into storm. That ship was hilarious. When okay, when the
- 27:09Speaker 1: janitor says, you know who that is? We should go back.
- 27:12Speaker 1: So the guy's handsome. The girl's really handsome too. She
- 27:15Speaker 1: did a great job, Nurse Martini. Yes, but when the
- 27:20Speaker 1: janitor says, you know who she minded me of? That
- 27:22Speaker 1: re minded me of a young Carla. And then Judy
- 27:26Speaker 1: turns around and Carla turns into storm. Yeah, that shit fire.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And now wait, whose storm? I mean, I knew it
- 27:35Speaker 1: was a Marvel thing, right, or say, of the X Men,
- 27:38Speaker 1: she is the black female like head of the X Men.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Sometimes she's the leader, but oftentimes she's sort of just
- 27:45Speaker 1: like main dude's right hand lady. But she's she's dope,
- 27:49Speaker 1: she's she's also a queen from who plays her in
- 27:52Speaker 1: the halle Berry Player And I don't know who the
- 27:54Speaker 1: young hallie. I don't know who the young lady is
- 27:55Speaker 1: that plays her now, but halle Berry played her originally anyway,
- 27:59Speaker 1: but I've never seen one, dude. Oh man, they're they're
- 28:03Speaker 1: I've never seen an X Men. We don't yell, they're
- 28:05Speaker 1: not the best. The logan, the logan is really good.
- 28:08Speaker 1: And uh days of the first x Men? Uh, what
- 28:13Speaker 1: is the first class? That one's fire x Men first class.
- 28:17Speaker 1: But you heard MICHAELA. Cole might be playing her in
- 28:19Speaker 1: the new Black Panther, right, because that was what I
- 28:21Speaker 1: was about to say, because she connects to Black Panther. Uh,
- 28:26Speaker 1: the two of them, the two of them are yeah, dude, dude, Yeah,
- 28:30Speaker 1: she is incredible. I'm so happy that I hope she
- 28:34Speaker 1: gets her big Marble or whatever it is payday because
- 28:38Speaker 1: she's a fucking extraordinary talent. Mhm yeah, um, Judy. By
- 28:46Speaker 1: the way, the effects of this were really well done.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Um you know Scrubs. We weren't a big V effects show,
- 28:50Speaker 1: and sometimes when we did them they looked man like
- 28:53Speaker 1: that butterfly. But this was really well done. You shattering
- 28:57Speaker 1: looked great. I remember this. I remember shooting this up.
- 29:00Speaker 1: So I remember at the end when you're when Mandy
- 29:04Speaker 1: runs is over in the corner crying. I remember my
- 29:07Speaker 1: point of view from it. I don't remember ever watching
- 29:09Speaker 1: this episode, but I remember shooting it and to see
- 29:12Speaker 1: the opposite side. I remember I was standing there and
- 29:15Speaker 1: making jokes while the two girls ran over, and I
- 29:18Speaker 1: remember that the camera was over there, and to see
- 29:20Speaker 1: all of that was was crazy. You know why I
- 29:24Speaker 1: remember it too because of you know, one of my
- 29:28Speaker 1: most favorite h action stars ever in in any movie,
- 29:35Speaker 1: I talk about, you know, Billy d Williams more than
- 29:40Speaker 1: I should. You know what I mean, Like, no, you don't.
- 29:42Speaker 1: You in all seriousness, it was very significant for you.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You said when in the Star Wars universe there was
- 29:48Speaker 1: this African American hero, right, and it really like it
- 29:52Speaker 1: puts you because there was a black guy in Star
- 29:55Speaker 1: Wars is more like the fact that he just spoke
- 29:58Speaker 1: you know, you know, Billyde's African American. That that was
- 30:03Speaker 1: dope too. But just to finally see a black face
- 30:06Speaker 1: in Star Wars was amazing. And also not just that,
- 30:09Speaker 1: not just that, he was also freaking like one of
- 30:12Speaker 1: the dopest pilots in the universe. And then when Harrison Ford,
- 30:16Speaker 1: when Harrison Ford's character is removed, they use him as
- 30:20Speaker 1: that character to show you that it could work, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 1: and that was really dope. You know, like a lot
- 30:25Speaker 1: of people, we don't talk about that enough. To be
- 30:27Speaker 1: honest with you, They removed the Han Solo character and
- 30:31Speaker 1: in place is Lando Calrissian, and you learned to love
- 30:36Speaker 1: this character. By the end of the movie. You're like, dude,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I love this dude, you know what I mean? And
- 30:41Speaker 1: that's that's that's really important. And it was a black
- 30:44Speaker 1: guy and they don't really talk about that enough, and
- 30:48Speaker 1: George isn't given enough credit for that. Also because when
- 30:51Speaker 1: Glenn Turman was on the show, he told us that
- 30:52Speaker 1: story of how he was up for Han Solo and
- 30:55Speaker 1: the reason why it didn't work was because you know,
- 30:57Speaker 1: there's gonna be a white princess Leia, and America is
- 31:00Speaker 1: not ready or the world's not ready, I should say
- 31:02Speaker 1: for that. And uh, and he really, you know, showed
- 31:08Speaker 1: you you could be ready for it, if you really,
- 31:10Speaker 1: if you really just close not close your eyes, but
- 31:14Speaker 1: if you really just fell in love. I don't know
- 31:17Speaker 1: how to put this, man, if you really just he
- 31:19Speaker 1: put it in the movie and it made it. It
- 31:21Speaker 1: made the movie twenty times better. Also, like, just look
- 31:24Speaker 1: at the things that Billy Dan Williams does in this
- 31:27Speaker 1: in this show where he get his reaction to me
- 31:30Speaker 1: going Lando Calarissian. If you watch The Empire Strikes Back,
- 31:33Speaker 1: he has so much expression in the movie and gives
- 31:37Speaker 1: so much freaking His performance is masterful, you know what
- 31:41Speaker 1: I mean. It's one of my favorite movies ever. Obviously
- 31:43Speaker 1: you can tell. But to have him on the show
- 31:46Speaker 1: and to have that performance and to know that, you know,
- 31:49Speaker 1: this could work, Uh, you could have a black action
- 31:53Speaker 1: hero somebody who does all of the things that the
- 31:56Speaker 1: white guy does, you know. To have that in the
- 31:59Speaker 1: in that movie and then to have him on the
- 32:01Speaker 1: show was just like beyond incredible. So my reaction, but
- 32:04Speaker 1: my reaction is sincere. That's not me acting. That's me
- 32:08Speaker 1: fucking for real, for real, screaming at the fact that
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm in a scene with Billy D williams Akland. They
- 32:16Speaker 1: did they? If I was directing this episode, I would
- 32:18Speaker 1: have made sure to hide him from you. Did they hide?
- 32:20Speaker 1: No? No No? No, you see him? He was in our face.
- 32:24Speaker 1: He was in my face the whole time, you know
- 32:26Speaker 1: what I mean. I was just seeing that Quentin Tarantino hid.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Uh what's his name? That amazing German actor who played
- 32:36Speaker 1: the Nazi in Glorious Bass. Crap, this is annoying German?
- 32:41Speaker 1: Or look up Christophe Waltz. Yeah, Christoph Waltz. Yes, isn't
- 32:46Speaker 1: he German? Am I right? Yes? Anyway, he's an extraordinary actor.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And I was read on the interwebs recently that Tarantino
- 32:54Speaker 1: didn't include him in rehearsals because he didn't want anyone
- 32:57Speaker 1: getting to know him. He wanted him to come on
- 32:59Speaker 1: set in his fucking Nazi uniform and scare the shit
- 33:03Speaker 1: out of everybody. And I just thought that was really cool.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Austrian German. Yes, Billy D. So there he is. It's
- 33:11Speaker 1: a seminal moment for you. This I just wanted to
- 33:16Speaker 1: finish all your what you said by saying, what a
- 33:19Speaker 1: what a what a beautiful paragraph for the case for
- 33:24Speaker 1: inclusion of all different types of people in the superhero world,
- 33:30Speaker 1: because little boys like you grow up going I see myself.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's the ultimate articulation of that. You seeing
- 33:37Speaker 1: Billy D in a movie and having it make you
- 33:40Speaker 1: want to become an actor and making you feel like
- 33:41Speaker 1: you could achieve your goals. That's really fucking awesome. Yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 1: The only thing that for a while I was pissed
- 33:48Speaker 1: off that he was a two bid hustler. But hey man,
- 33:50Speaker 1: that's cool. I remember being so mad. I remember being
- 33:56Speaker 1: so mad and so caught up in the fact that
- 33:58Speaker 1: he was a twopid hustler. But when you think about it,
- 34:01Speaker 1: so is Han Solo, you know what I mean. It's
- 34:03Speaker 1: like there was the same character, but because Billy D
- 34:07Speaker 1: was that, you know, it's it's the same story arc,
- 34:10Speaker 1: but Billy D even comes in, you know, Lando even
- 34:13Speaker 1: comes in as a noble man. You know, he's the
- 34:16Speaker 1: leader of this big ass city. You know, we're getting
- 34:20Speaker 1: so off topic, but I know I don't care what Listen,
- 34:23Speaker 1: that's our specialty. Listen, let's get back to it and
- 34:25Speaker 1: say Um, there's so much going on in this episode.
- 34:28Speaker 1: There's the sex Gong, I mean thinking things in this episode.
- 34:31Speaker 1: There's like there's like ten things that people love about
- 34:34Speaker 1: Scrubs that that we get referenced. There's including Lando and
- 34:39Speaker 1: the deck. There's the sex God. Yeah, buddy, and now
- 34:43Speaker 1: you have extraordinary hearing. So funny. Anyway, by way, this
- 34:48Speaker 1: was so funny when Mandy Moore, who's you know, up
- 34:53Speaker 1: to this point was known as sort of an UM
- 34:56Speaker 1: an innocent actress and an innocent singer. UM that we
- 35:00Speaker 1: had her banging on the fucking wall to fake like
- 35:04Speaker 1: she's having sex and she goes shot up and taking
- 35:07Speaker 1: you stupid bitch. That was hilarious. I remember even thinking
- 35:14Speaker 1: at the time as her boyfriend, I were thinking, like, yes, Mandy,
- 35:17Speaker 1: go for it. That was awesome. Um, that was hilarious.
- 35:22Speaker 1: And now you have incredible hearing. Yeah. Wait, don't get
- 35:25Speaker 1: to kay yet. You have incredible hearing. I ring the
- 35:28Speaker 1: sex gog and you go, yeah, and it's back at
- 35:32Speaker 1: our old apartment. He then so then Carla has the
- 35:38Speaker 1: voice over UM obviously as we said, and then she
- 35:42Speaker 1: disses you somehow, and I go, don't listen to her
- 35:43Speaker 1: brown bear. Your body's fierce like Tay Digs and that
- 35:49Speaker 1: that that became. I don't know if I improve that
- 35:51Speaker 1: or not, but that was totally improv d That became
- 35:54Speaker 1: a running thing of me to this day when you
- 35:59Speaker 1: look good, saying you look like I told tags about
- 36:03Speaker 1: this shit. He laughs about it. He thinks it's funny.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Of course, Why would Tay Diggs not love the fact
- 36:09Speaker 1: that we're using him as an icon of a handsome man.
- 36:12Speaker 1: He is handsome. Still, He's not Donald fas On, no
- 36:16Speaker 1: offense tag Joel, just Joel, just let out by Joel,
- 36:21Speaker 1: just let it up. Oh yes, I'm gonna keep it
- 36:23Speaker 1: one hundred. I'm gonna keeping one hundred. I think I'm
- 36:26Speaker 1: a handsome man. Like look, come on, I still got
- 36:28Speaker 1: a baby face right, yeah, but still beautiful. That is
- 36:32Speaker 1: one handsome dude him Yeah, Idriss Albam, them too is handsome.
- 36:38Speaker 1: That's like handsome handsome. Yes, but it's all if you.
- 36:40Speaker 1: That's if you like really hot man. I like them.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I like I like my men A strong with the
- 36:49Speaker 1: dad bought you baby, thank you. I love you so much. Man.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I don't want to address Elba. I don't want to
- 36:57Speaker 1: ride indres el butt and y illegal, I want to you.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Oh oh, you're making me blush, although if Indusable was like,
- 37:11Speaker 1: get on, you're riding me just once real, just once
- 37:16Speaker 1: real quick? Um all right, so uh okay, so then
- 37:24Speaker 1: ta Diggs Okay. Now I apparently was jad was called
- 37:27Speaker 1: Joanna until he was three. Yes, learn yes, um. And
- 37:32Speaker 1: we also learned that Jordan says something very outrageous that
- 37:36Speaker 1: they're at the bar, and she says one of those
- 37:40Speaker 1: boys could be the baby I gave up in high school,
- 37:47Speaker 1: which is one of those scrubs one liners that might
- 37:49Speaker 1: just zip by you and you don't really do the
- 37:51Speaker 1: math and figure it out. But she's saying that she
- 37:55Speaker 1: can't flirt with one of those boys because there's a
- 37:57Speaker 1: chance one of them that it's the sl She doesn't
- 38:00Speaker 1: go there's a certain age that she doesn't go below
- 38:04Speaker 1: because because she doesn't know whatever whatever happened to that
- 38:07Speaker 1: child that she gave up in high school, and she
- 38:09Speaker 1: doesn't want to ask. That is so dark, but the
- 38:13Speaker 1: hardest I laughed the whole fucking episode when Sarah I
- 38:17Speaker 1: somehow reveals yeah, but she reveals that she's she's a
- 38:20Speaker 1: little bit by jazz drunk, gets drunk where she gets
- 38:26Speaker 1: drunk to lesbian. Oh my god, dear listener, if you
- 38:31Speaker 1: want to know what makes me laugh, go watch this
- 38:33Speaker 1: episode and watch Sarah drunk in the bar, leaning on
- 38:37Speaker 1: the bar, going so, Carol, do you like jazz? Yeah?
- 38:43Speaker 1: I do? Really? How much do you like? Jess? I
- 38:49Speaker 1: videotaped that ship. I video taped it off my laptop
- 38:52Speaker 1: and sent it to Bill and was like, he goes,
- 38:55Speaker 1: why are you setting this? I go, because how fucking
- 38:57Speaker 1: funny is it? Sarah playing someone who gets by when
- 39:01Speaker 1: they're drunk, hitting on a woman named Carl, asking her
- 39:04Speaker 1: if she likes jazz, and Sarah's face She's like, so,
- 39:08Speaker 1: Carol do you like jazz? And then the woman nods
- 39:13Speaker 1: and she goes, you do much? How much? For some
- 39:25Speaker 1: reason in the whole episode that was crying. I literally
- 39:32Speaker 1: went back and videotaped it on the screen to show Bill. Um,
- 39:37Speaker 1: so uh okay, so we have before we get to
- 39:41Speaker 1: an intervention, we gotta get to this meme. I've seen
- 39:45Speaker 1: or I've seen the scene either on YouTube, but somehow
- 39:49Speaker 1: it popped up on The Hangovers. Hangovers I think of
- 39:52Speaker 1: it all the time made me laugh very that still
- 39:54Speaker 1: makes it laugh so hard, Like it's the perfect articulation
- 39:58Speaker 1: of and if you're twenty five, I was listening to this.
- 40:00Speaker 1: You think we're joking, but that that display of going
- 40:04Speaker 1: around a table showing people at four different ages, and
- 40:07Speaker 1: how I hangover hurts the next day, Like Mandy's the
- 40:10Speaker 1: young one, and she's like, hi, morning, and then Sarah's yeah,
- 40:14Speaker 1: Sarah's next, Sarah's next, and she's like, please, Sarah's hurts
- 40:17Speaker 1: a little bit, please stop talking. And then Jude's and
- 40:20Speaker 1: then barely able to keep it together. Yeah, and then
- 40:24Speaker 1: and then Jordan's like asleep with glasses. Yeah, she's not
- 40:28Speaker 1: even like she's just she's like comatose with glasses on
- 40:32Speaker 1: and shakes her Jordan Rooney, Jordan delicious. A hangover is
- 40:37Speaker 1: no joke anymore. Donald, we're in our forties. It's like, uh,
- 40:40Speaker 1: it's it's like a two day It's like a two
- 40:42Speaker 1: day experience. If you go big. I get nervous when
- 40:44Speaker 1: I don't get a hangover. Now, how about that? What
- 40:48Speaker 1: do you mean? Like if I drink and I don't
- 40:50Speaker 1: get a hangover, I'm like, did I drink last night?
- 40:53Speaker 1: You know what I mean? You can't remember no, like
- 40:57Speaker 1: if I don't get a like sometimes you sometimes I
- 41:00Speaker 1: drink and I drink water. You know, also when I
- 41:03Speaker 1: drink and so I won't have a hangover the next day. Now,
- 41:05Speaker 1: it's always a refreshing thing, but I'm always worried, like,
- 41:08Speaker 1: wait a second, but did I drink last night? Because
- 41:11Speaker 1: also remember Casey wants to give us these like it
- 41:13Speaker 1: was such an old person thing. Casey's like, here, y'all
- 41:16Speaker 1: put this patch on and the patch was like vitamins
- 41:20Speaker 1: and stuff like that. The pat I mean, I'm sure
- 41:23Speaker 1: some of you listening I've seen this before. But it's like,
- 41:25Speaker 1: if you know you're gonna go have a big party night,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you put this patch on your skin, and it's like
- 41:29Speaker 1: giving you whatever nutrients so you don't get hung over.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I don't even know if it's psychosomatic or it really works,
- 41:35Speaker 1: but I remember we all it was like such an
- 41:37Speaker 1: old moment. We're all going out one night, like like
- 41:41Speaker 1: you know something maybe before the pandemic, and Casey's like,
- 41:45Speaker 1: all right, we know we're gonna have a big, big
- 41:46Speaker 1: night and she's passing out patches for us to put
- 41:49Speaker 1: on our skin. That should work, though, man, I just
- 41:51Speaker 1: had to taste in my mouth though. That was the
- 41:54Speaker 1: only thing like it. I had, like a vitamin taste
- 41:56Speaker 1: in my mouth after like the next day. I don't
- 41:59Speaker 1: think that does anything. I guess I don't know. I mean,
- 42:01Speaker 1: if I V does, why can't this Because IVY is
- 42:05Speaker 1: what you need, which is hydration. I don't know if
- 42:07Speaker 1: the patches of creation, I mean they've got all of
- 42:09Speaker 1: these powders now that are out that you can hydrate
- 42:11Speaker 1: yourself with. I don't know that this thing in La.
- 42:13Speaker 1: You know, you can come and have a hire a
- 42:14Speaker 1: guy in New York too. I'm sure it's to come
- 42:18Speaker 1: give you an IV. Thinking about doing that because there's
- 42:20Speaker 1: no but listen, here's the here's the thing though you
- 42:26Speaker 1: call the IVY guy. Yeah, but that's from drinking. That's
- 42:28Speaker 1: from drinking. I'm talking about Like, look, dude, you can
- 42:31Speaker 1: drink a lot of water and still be dehydrated. You
- 42:34Speaker 1: know what I mean. There's it's there's more to it,
- 42:37Speaker 1: and so an IV is actually hydrating your system completely,
- 42:43Speaker 1: like to the utmost where you can't, like you, there
- 42:46Speaker 1: are people that drink gallons and gallons and gallons of
- 42:48Speaker 1: water right and piss it all out, and so you
- 42:51Speaker 1: know what I mean, right, this is right into your
- 42:52Speaker 1: bloodstream water. I've never done that, by the way, I
- 42:59Speaker 1: want to think also, no, you've done that hungover and
- 43:02Speaker 1: got an IV got an ivy after working out? You
- 43:13Speaker 1: know that. Um. I think we've mentioned this on the show,
- 43:17Speaker 1: but there was an old wives tale that doctors listening
- 43:20Speaker 1: or nurses listening. You might know if it's true or not,
- 43:23Speaker 1: but that when doctors were so hungover that they would
- 43:26Speaker 1: start an IV line on themselves, put the baggy under
- 43:30Speaker 1: their armpit, right, and then put the jacket on and
- 43:34Speaker 1: walk around and be just slowly squeezing it as they
- 43:36Speaker 1: walked around. The story is true because I told a
- 43:38Speaker 1: lot of people it was. We've heard that, we heard that,
- 43:41Speaker 1: We did hear that. I think JD said that was
- 43:43Speaker 1: a real thing, the real JD. But um, I don't know.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Maybe maybe in two thousand and twenty one that's frowned
- 43:49Speaker 1: upon more than back in the day. But no, man,
- 43:53Speaker 1: there you can they they labeled the thing as for
- 43:57Speaker 1: the perfect hangover, like nobody's going out now, But I
- 44:00Speaker 1: guess people are drinking, and if you want to, I
- 44:03Speaker 1: guess people are going out. Did you see that freaking
- 44:05Speaker 1: concert and where was that? People around? People around? Did
- 44:09Speaker 1: you see that? Shit? I ain't trying to yo. People
- 44:20Speaker 1: are out in New York, but um, it's all in
- 44:23Speaker 1: the streets. Every every restaurant has a little hut built
- 44:26Speaker 1: in front of it where you can go, uh, you know,
- 44:30Speaker 1: drink and eat and so it's outside. I mean some
- 44:32Speaker 1: people you can choose to eat inside, but I'm not
- 44:34Speaker 1: doing I'm not eating inside. It's I imagine it's a
- 44:36Speaker 1: lot tougher in New York too, because that is a
- 44:39Speaker 1: city where you eat out pretty much every night, right,
- 44:43Speaker 1: But I'm saying you're not inside like you can you
- 44:46Speaker 1: can have your meal, you know. Now every single restaurant
- 44:51Speaker 1: has outdoor seating because they've been able. They're allowed to
- 44:54Speaker 1: take over parking spots in front of the restaurant, so
- 44:56Speaker 1: they've built a deck, you know, with walls, so everybody's
- 45:01Speaker 1: got outdoor seating. Now, can I just say, okay, let's
- 45:04Speaker 1: get back to the show. Can I just say one thing?
- 45:06Speaker 1: And I know it's cutting to the end, but the
- 45:08Speaker 1: Doctor Dad plot thickens. Did you catch this? The Doctor
- 45:14Speaker 1: Dad musical is hilarious. Did you catch the how the
- 45:17Speaker 1: plot thickens? Though? Yeah? Because Kelso's son, yes, is has
- 45:23Speaker 1: written a musical about about his father called Doctor Deaths
- 45:27Speaker 1: Very that's that's successful. It's it's clear now that is successful.
- 45:32Speaker 1: It's really doing well where it is. It's like in
- 45:35Speaker 1: province doing it's doing very, very well. But and yes,
- 45:40Speaker 1: go ahead, you can reveal Kelso's son is now dating
- 45:46Speaker 1: the man the gentleman playing dead doctor Dad. Y lines
- 45:52Speaker 1: have been blurred. The lines have been blurred. No, no,
- 45:57Speaker 1: we need someone to one day, right like write an
- 46:01Speaker 1: essay that tracks every single thing that's happened to Kelso's son,
- 46:05Speaker 1: because it just gets more and more crazy. But yes,
- 46:08Speaker 1: Kelso's son is sleeping with the star of his musical,
- 46:13Speaker 1: Doctor Dad, the man playing Doctor Dad. Okay, um, right
- 46:26Speaker 1: now we reveal so there's we have an intervention, right
- 46:30Speaker 1: because I'm a committophobe. First of all, it's such bullshit
- 46:34Speaker 1: that JD would not want to commit to Julie. She's amazing,
- 46:37Speaker 1: she's perfect for him. I had a lot of trouble
- 46:40Speaker 1: with this plot point, just because she says that's so funny.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I know that. Then there's an intervention and his friends
- 46:45Speaker 1: are like, you're just making up a bullshit reason because
- 46:46Speaker 1: you're a committophobe. And then he finally says it, says
- 46:51Speaker 1: all the right things, says, no, you are awesome and
- 46:53Speaker 1: you're amazing, and you're beautiful and you're funny and you're
- 46:56Speaker 1: you're a dream girl. And she's like, whoaa, calm down,
- 46:58Speaker 1: I don't even know if I want commitment and babies
- 47:01Speaker 1: in marriage right, And he's like, what now? What now? Yeah,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I think Uncle Buck was a great choice to try
- 47:08Speaker 1: and get that so funny. That's one of the funniest
- 47:10Speaker 1: movies in my lifetime. I've never seen. I've never seen
- 47:12Speaker 1: Uncle Buck. I'm sorry it might be dated now, but
- 47:14Speaker 1: that's one of the you never see you should have seen, Joel.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Joel looked at me as though, I said, I'm hurt, hurt,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I've never seen Uncle Buck. Do I need to watch it?
- 47:24Speaker 1: It'll hold up. I don't know if it holds up.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I haven't seen it, and I haven't seen it in
- 47:27Speaker 1: a couple of years. But that is whoa. It's Macaulay
- 47:31Speaker 1: Halkins and what we choose, that's what John Candy is
- 47:35Speaker 1: is plays Uncle Buck like it's it's a the John
- 47:40Speaker 1: Hughes movie, Like, what the fuck, dude, you've never seen
- 47:43Speaker 1: Uncle Buck, I've never seen it. I think it holds up.
- 47:48Speaker 1: It has been a minute. It's like I can't understand, guarantee.
- 47:51Speaker 1: But the kid, I'm the dude who played the Boy
- 47:53Speaker 1: who Could Fly is the bad guy in it. You
- 47:55Speaker 1: ever seen the Boy who Could Fly? Zach never saw
- 47:58Speaker 1: the boy? You guys never seen a boy who could fly?
- 48:01Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, we don't have down here on your mic. Sorry,
- 48:05Speaker 1: but if you're Donald Donald, I have to get the
- 48:13Speaker 1: babies back on their store. You got this. You know
- 48:16Speaker 1: who the star the Boy who Could Fly is? Yo,
- 48:18Speaker 1: it's freaking up. Oh my gosh. Uh. It's the dude
- 48:24Speaker 1: from The Boy who Could Fly and from the Facts
- 48:26Speaker 1: of Life, the one who played Natalie. She's one of
- 48:29Speaker 1: the stars of this movie. You never really you've never seen. Wait,
- 48:34Speaker 1: her name is on the tip of my tongue. What
- 48:35Speaker 1: is it? Mandy Cone is also one of the star
- 48:41Speaker 1: You've never seen The Boy who Could Fly? Calm down,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna write it down. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Okay, I'm in.
- 48:51Speaker 1: How about the flashback to your girlfriend Whitney the Snapper
- 48:54Speaker 1: and she's like, ah lah leave now. Yeah, but you
- 48:59Speaker 1: but that's a she was a beautiful young woman. Anybody
- 49:02Speaker 1: was kicking her out because she was a snapper. Snap.
- 49:05Speaker 1: We can still do it only in a TV show.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Jad breaking up with with Mandy Moore because she says,
- 49:13Speaker 1: that's so funny. But actually the real reason at the
- 49:18Speaker 1: end is more believable that she'd be like, Oh, I
- 49:21Speaker 1: don't want anything you're talking about. Yeah, I'm glad you
- 49:23Speaker 1: brought it up. I don't know that I want marriage,
- 49:25Speaker 1: and Jad's already thinking about it and she's not at
- 49:29Speaker 1: all I know. But again it was a little like, so, dude,
- 49:32Speaker 1: it's so early, you bought a deck together, Like, calm
- 49:35Speaker 1: down at all. But this is when my producer head goes, oh,
- 49:38Speaker 1: clearly Mandy could only do two episodes. It goes back
- 49:42Speaker 1: to the first It goes back to the first one.
- 49:44Speaker 1: It's a two parter. Elliott warned you that this is
- 49:47Speaker 1: going to happen. You get you're a committable, you go
- 49:50Speaker 1: in too deep too, I know, but I tried, bro,
- 49:52Speaker 1: I tried to commit it to this one. Yeah, and
- 49:54Speaker 1: she said, she said, you went too fast. You did
- 49:57Speaker 1: go too fast at the end. Ultimately, at the end,
- 50:00Speaker 1: you've gone to Yeah, he's sort of a dick to
- 50:03Speaker 1: her at the end. I mean, he says that joke.
- 50:07Speaker 1: That's so mean. He's a dick to her the whole time.
- 50:12Speaker 1: What does he say? She fell off the deck and
- 50:13Speaker 1: he doesn't even go to help her. He was a
- 50:15Speaker 1: dick the whole time. No, there's like a um, there's
- 50:21Speaker 1: something like I go, I go, But she's not saying
- 50:24Speaker 1: that's so funny now or something like that. By the way,
- 50:27Speaker 1: who says this, Ask him if he remembers me from
- 50:30Speaker 1: my pelvic exam about the hot kind of cultures? That
- 50:33Speaker 1: shit that Sarah says, that shit. She goes, tell tell
- 50:36Speaker 1: him if he remembers me from my pelvic exam. As
- 50:38Speaker 1: Judy's walking in, and she yells it again. Yeah. And
- 50:44Speaker 1: then and then when when in the context when she says,
- 50:48Speaker 1: I like to keep a clean shot, right, that's right.
- 50:51Speaker 1: So she's so, she's they're having a conversation about about
- 50:55Speaker 1: She goes, so, let me tell you about my first exam.
- 50:58Speaker 1: He's down there, and I'm like and and he says this,
- 51:02Speaker 1: And then I look at him and I say, well,
- 51:04Speaker 1: I like to clean keep a clean shop. And then
- 51:07Speaker 1: he looks at me and says but it was her
- 51:10Speaker 1: describing that shit was so funny, Sarah. There's something about
- 51:14Speaker 1: the way Sarah's vocal and intonation is in this episode
- 51:17Speaker 1: that's just being extra funny. I can't do it. But
- 51:20Speaker 1: she's like, well, I do like to keep a clean shot, right,
- 51:24Speaker 1: She's she's she's amazing. She's so funny. Chris, what about
- 51:29Speaker 1: Christa's showing up in in the school girl outfit? Yeah,
- 51:32Speaker 1: with pigtails? Call me j J. I really got to
- 51:40Speaker 1: tell you, man, I feel like Judy did an excellent
- 51:42Speaker 1: job as the shed the storyteller this episode. You know, um,
- 51:50Speaker 1: and I think I think, I think Bill thought this
- 51:56Speaker 1: could work and it and it didn't. But because it
- 51:59Speaker 1: was it's once it's taken out of the main characters,
- 52:05Speaker 1: maybe the audience didn't buy it. But it seems like
- 52:10Speaker 1: when watching the show, if you're a part of this
- 52:13Speaker 1: group and you do the voiceover, it works, you know
- 52:17Speaker 1: what I mean, all of us it worked, you know
- 52:19Speaker 1: what I mean? It really did. It's a great conceit. Yeah. Um,
- 52:23Speaker 1: But when we went into season nine, for some reason,
- 52:27Speaker 1: people had a hard time. Well it's a big ass.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I mean, I think if you designed season nine again,
- 52:33Speaker 1: you might give it. I understand the reasoning. It's the
- 52:37Speaker 1: story of a young kid coming into the world. That's
- 52:39Speaker 1: so people responded to him. But I think, you know,
- 52:41Speaker 1: there might be some thought to like having it be
- 52:44Speaker 1: you right, yeah, why why? Um n y, you know,
- 52:50Speaker 1: like you know what I mean. Oh yeah, of course
- 52:51Speaker 1: anybody or Neil. Neil was gone. But you know what
- 52:54Speaker 1: I'm you know what I mean, Like it's like, it's like,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I think that's where it put too much on Carrie
- 53:01Speaker 1: Biche sure shoulders. She's a wonderful actress and very, very talented,
- 53:07Speaker 1: but there was just so much history with all of us, right,
- 53:10Speaker 1: and you're asking the audience to embrace a new character
- 53:15Speaker 1: that they didn't just spend eight years with and they're like, no,
- 53:18Speaker 1: fuck this, which I understand with this much hindsight. The
- 53:24Speaker 1: show ends with the legendary Carrie Brothers song Ride, which
- 53:27Speaker 1: is a really, really good song, which will end the
- 53:30Speaker 1: show with today. I also want to say that the
- 53:33Speaker 1: way the show also ends is metaphorically is great too.
- 53:38Speaker 1: JD is having this dilemma and all of these people
- 53:42Speaker 1: rushed to his aid to help him with this girl.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Carla really has the big dilemma, you know, what I mean,
- 53:52Speaker 1: She's the one that's really going through it. JD is
- 53:54Speaker 1: going through something that he didn't want to be with
- 53:56Speaker 1: the girl anyway, and they wound up breaking up. You
- 53:59Speaker 1: know what I mean. Carl is really going through it.
- 54:02Speaker 1: There's a possibility that because of her age, she might
- 54:06Speaker 1: not be able to have kids. And when Jad's talking
- 54:11Speaker 1: and he's telling everybody about what happened with Julie and
- 54:15Speaker 1: Carla is not paying attention, and she goes up to
- 54:18Speaker 1: him and goes, you're doing don't let this one get
- 54:23Speaker 1: away whatever. She says, this one's a keeper and runs off.
- 54:26Speaker 1: It really does put in perspective. You know, this dude's
- 54:31Speaker 1: going through so much, but it's really trivial compared to
- 54:34Speaker 1: what she's going through in a lot of ways. You know. Yeah,
- 54:36Speaker 1: but it's all relative. I mean, you really can't compare
- 54:39Speaker 1: as apples to Orange is no doubt, but no, but
- 54:42Speaker 1: I'm saying, like, I hear what you're saying, but it's
- 54:46Speaker 1: unfair to compare anyone's whatever the tragedy in someone's life
- 54:51Speaker 1: is to somebody else's, you know, it's all I have
- 54:53Speaker 1: these moments where I'm you know, whining to a man
- 54:56Speaker 1: decludes about something and I catch myself and I go,
- 54:58Speaker 1: oh my god, I feel so stupid. I'm complaining about
- 55:00Speaker 1: this to you. Look at what you've gone through. And
- 55:02Speaker 1: she's like, no, that's you. Can't think of it like that.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Everyone's life is, everyone's problems are relative. And I'm sitting
- 55:07Speaker 1: here and I'm and I want to help you, and
- 55:09Speaker 1: I want to advise you with whatever's going on with
- 55:11Speaker 1: your life, and just like you advise me. And so
- 55:14Speaker 1: you know, it's all we all, we all have to
- 55:15Speaker 1: be there for each other. Some people's problems in the
- 55:18Speaker 1: macro will, of course be way greater than others. But
- 55:21Speaker 1: it's a good thing to remember. It's a good thing
- 55:22Speaker 1: to remember when you're complaining about some bullshit like an
- 55:24Speaker 1: ice cream truck and then there's people sleeping on the street.
- 55:27Speaker 1: I heard that. That's real talk. But I'm still gonna
- 55:30Speaker 1: snip that fucking w I'm gonna leave. I'm gonna leave
- 55:34Speaker 1: him with chrisp Pondy and be like, sorry, this is
- 55:36Speaker 1: for repairs next week. Next week, all right, let's go
- 55:40Speaker 1: to break. We're gonna go to break, and we'll be
- 55:42Speaker 1: right back with Donald phase on. Hey, and we're bad
- 55:55Speaker 1: and We're bad, and nobody Little Oh the Mom and
- 56:02Speaker 1: no Little Oh the Mom and Lambda Lambda lamb oh,
- 56:09Speaker 1: maga move Hey guys, Dan and Daniel fucked up. Yeah,
- 56:16Speaker 1: it's just that simple. What really happened was that our
- 56:19Speaker 1: collective team that never fucks up finally decided to fuck up.
- 56:23Speaker 1: I decided to make it. I feel bad for the
- 56:26Speaker 1: caller that is the recipient of your fuck up. They
- 56:28Speaker 1: probably told all their friends and family they were going
- 56:30Speaker 1: to be on fake Doctor's real friends. But guess what
- 56:32Speaker 1: you're not on tonight, You're not on today. I'm so
- 56:35Speaker 1: sorry Joel and Daniel how to mix up about who
- 56:39Speaker 1: was recording what? Daniel I wasn't there, So okay, up,
- 56:43Speaker 1: it's all me, all me, I own it. Well, had
- 56:47Speaker 1: an audio mix up and did not record the poor
- 56:49Speaker 1: caller who's told all their friends and family they were
- 56:51Speaker 1: gonna be on fake Doctors. You better send them some GTS,
- 56:54Speaker 1: kambucha or something. I will, I will see, I will
- 56:57Speaker 1: get them something. You better. Will you please take the
- 57:00Speaker 1: iHeart credit card and get them something, Because if you
- 57:03Speaker 1: don't want to buy, appreciate, will you can buy? They
- 57:08Speaker 1: can buy me something. Give them a Hyundai for God's sakes. Well, anyway,
- 57:13Speaker 1: we're very we're very sorry to you, the audience and
- 57:16Speaker 1: the caller because we just don't have the audio. It
- 57:19Speaker 1: doesn't exist. Um, Joel, you never mess up, but you
- 57:23Speaker 1: did well. I'm gonna say I'm gonna I'm gonna say this.
- 57:26Speaker 1: It'll be a very interesting show. But I don't fault
- 57:30Speaker 1: Joel for it. I fault Daniel for not being there
- 57:33Speaker 1: for Yeah, it's my fault. I file got corrupted in
- 57:38Speaker 1: place of where the caller, in place of where the
- 57:40Speaker 1: caller would go. We're now going to play the Casey
- 57:43Speaker 1: song because it's a Bob Casey come down here and
- 58:00Speaker 1: on that note, all right, we love you guys. On
- 58:02Speaker 1: that note, we love you. Where do they buy T shirts?
- 58:04Speaker 1: Joel tell them there's all sorts of merch in the shop,
- 58:08Speaker 1: Cotton Bireau. You type in fake doctors and it's gonna
- 58:11Speaker 1: pop right up, y'all dope shirts. So many of you
- 58:13Speaker 1: have sent me so many, like sweatshirts and like little
- 58:16Speaker 1: T shirts with my face on it. That's wild to me.
- 58:19Speaker 1: You can buy a Joel Monique onesie for your child.
- 58:22Speaker 1: There's all sorts of cool stuff. You go to cottonbier
- 58:25Speaker 1: dot com and then search for fake doctors and you'll
- 58:27Speaker 1: see all our wacky, silly merch um. We love you,
- 58:32Speaker 1: we care about you. Be safe, be kind, Donald, respect, respect.
- 58:37Speaker 1: He's right and here to play us out is the
- 58:39Speaker 1: amazing Carrie Brothers with his song Ryan you w Everything
- 59:07Speaker 1: one time, the sky all never toose. You were to
- 59:20Speaker 1: say my tonight. If I told you reasons why you
- 59:28Speaker 1: leave your life right right you sigh? Oh my pieces
- 59:55Speaker 1: broken this time I could never show told you say
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: my heart. And if I told you reasons why you
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: leave your line right right right, so say stars, briss work,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: You'll be your alive
