- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Lebron or Michael eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:26Speaker 3: That's what did Michael do? Because Lebron's is creating his resume,
- 0:31Speaker 3: making it deeper and deeper and longer and longer, and
- 0:33Speaker 3: Michael is still hanging on.
- 0:34Speaker 1: He's sitting around watching with six rings on his fingers.
- 0:37Speaker 1: How about that should be eight? So listen. It's a
- 0:42Speaker 1: topic that has never been discussed on sports radio before.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Lebron or Michael eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Cam Hayward is going to join us at around four
- 0:54Speaker 1: point fifteen the Busting with the Boys guys, Taylor Luwan,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I think it's but Taylor tells me it's Taylor Luwan
- 1:03Speaker 1: and will comp to going to join us in about
- 1:05Speaker 1: ten minutes. Taylor, me and Izzy were in our seats
- 1:07Speaker 1: at two forty five. How about that.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I'm very proud of you guys.
- 1:12Speaker 5: And the Lebron conversation, it made me think of a
- 1:17Speaker 5: Nick Wright take that I heard coming in this morning.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, this.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Is the least athletic, worst version of Lebron that's existed
- 1:24Speaker 5: since he was eighteen, and he still looks like prime
- 1:27Speaker 5: Magic Johnson.
- 1:30Speaker 3: It's fair well, I mean, you know, bigger, faster, stronger,
- 1:33Speaker 3: say this all the time, like Magic Johnson couldn't be
- 1:36Speaker 3: a point guard in today's NBA. But yeah, he's Lebron.
- 1:39Speaker 3: James is a spectacular player at this age. You know
- 1:43Speaker 3: it's not going to be He'll never be MVP caliber
- 1:47Speaker 3: caliber again because he can't maintain this over the course
- 1:49Speaker 3: of eighty two games. But give him a couple of
- 1:51Speaker 3: games or he's leading the show. Yeah, absolutely he can
- 1:54Speaker 3: do that.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We'll get to some sound from Lebron and Kevin Durant
- 1:57Speaker 1: in just a second. Do you think Luca enjoys watching
- 1:59Speaker 1: the LS have success without Luca?
- 2:02Speaker 3: I do, in large part because I think he knows
- 2:06Speaker 3: this isn't happening or they're not getting any further without him.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I think he knows even if they can somehow get
- 2:12Speaker 3: past this Rockets team without him, which if they do.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Is quite the indictment on emy Udoka.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's crazy. And Durant well, so far.
- 2:19Speaker 3: More so for Emay in my opinion than Durant, but yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 3: Durant gets a little bit of that blame too. But
- 2:24Speaker 3: you know when you watch Luca, you see him on
- 2:26Speaker 3: the bench, like Alpern Shangoun had a pump fake that
- 2:29Speaker 3: did nothing to nobody. Nobody fell for it. And you
- 2:31Speaker 3: see Luca on the bench, look at him and just
- 2:33Speaker 3: kind of give him a wave off like that with
- 2:35Speaker 3: his right hand, and it's just like he's having a
- 2:37Speaker 3: good time. He has no respect for the Houston Rockets,
- 2:39Speaker 3: whether he's on the floor or sitting on the bench,
- 2:41Speaker 3: but I think he knows they need him, so yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 3: he's having a good time.
- 2:44Speaker 1: On Let's get to some sound here of Lebron James,
- 2:47Speaker 1: who has really turned back the clock. He is playing
- 2:49Speaker 1: at such a high level. It's fun to watch, it's
- 2:52Speaker 1: amazing to see. And we have ourselves an NBA playoff,
- 2:55Speaker 1: is he although Oklahoma City is probably sitting back and going, hey,
- 2:58Speaker 1: it's not wide open with the any chances and we're
- 3:01Speaker 1: still here and we're fine, and we're as good as
- 3:03Speaker 1: we were last year. But here's Lebron talking about how
- 3:05Speaker 1: they stopped Kevin Durant last night.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Hope that he missed. You all show him different coverages,
- 3:11Speaker 6: mixed match pitches, you know. Uh, we gotta be a
- 3:14Speaker 6: pitcher that could go on and those the fastballs, curve ball, sinkers,
- 3:17Speaker 6: knuckleballs every day. So I thought the coaches staff did
- 3:19Speaker 6: a great job putting us in a position, and we
- 3:22Speaker 6: all listened to the to.
- 3:22Speaker 1: The queues and the commas to go out there and
- 3:24Speaker 1: do that. He's never sounded older.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I'm surprised he went baseball with that,
- 3:30Speaker 3: Like if you're gonna cross sports. His favorite sport right
- 3:32Speaker 3: now seems to be gulks. And maybe he goes, oh,
- 3:34Speaker 3: you gotta go your full game, your driver, your chip,
- 3:36Speaker 3: your putter, you gotta work at all, Mike.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We gotta give him all one two, right. He sounds
- 3:42Speaker 1: so old citing baseball, the old uncle.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Charlie, mikey.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Have you noticed how when a player is out, Stu
- 3:51Speaker 5: gotts first thing is to always question if that player
- 3:54Speaker 5: is rooting for their team success. Yes, he did it
- 3:57Speaker 5: with coach K when Coach K missed. When Coach K
- 4:01Speaker 5: left dupe.
- 4:01Speaker 1: He loved that John Shire has not made it to
- 4:03Speaker 1: a final four. I'm telling you, Coach k loves it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I don't care what he says.
- 4:06Speaker 5: He's doing it now with Luca and the Lakers, and
- 4:09Speaker 5: it's making me think if Stu Gotts is projecting when
- 4:12Speaker 5: we're having Sal wakata on.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I hate it.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I think he's rooting against him.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I am rooting against Sal. I am, I am, and
- 4:19Speaker 1: I love him to death. I'm not rooting against you
- 4:21Speaker 1: guys ever, I love both of you, but I am
- 4:23Speaker 1: rooting against Sal. I want him to have a bad show,
- 4:25Speaker 1: not a good show. I mean, what's wrong with that.
- 4:28Speaker 1: The reason I asked that question is I know he
- 4:31Speaker 1: did the reason and I was upset about it. The
- 4:33Speaker 1: reason I asked that question is because it's human. I
- 4:36Speaker 1: think it's fascinating to think about whether or not Luca
- 4:39Speaker 1: is excited that they're up to well without Luca, or
- 4:42Speaker 1: if Luca a little small part of him is a
- 4:45Speaker 1: little upset. Maybe when he goes home he tells someone
- 4:48Speaker 1: his best friend, Hey, I don't like this. I mean,
- 4:50Speaker 1: it's a little too easy without me. Luke Canard is
- 4:53Speaker 1: suddenly Luca Canard and Luka Donkin should be Luke, Luke,
- 4:58Speaker 1: does you.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Really think Luca needs people still to know that he's good?
- 5:06Speaker 3: Like they don't you think that Lucas sitting there. Man,
- 5:08Speaker 3: they win without me, They're gonna think my nice stats
- 5:10Speaker 3: are empty. They're gonna think that I'm no good. It's
- 5:13Speaker 3: not about good or bad. It's about value to the team.
- 5:16Speaker 1: That's all. Luca knows he's good. Everyone knows he's good.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Everyone knows he's great. It's about your value to the team.
- 5:21Speaker 1: And why are they winning without me?
- 5:23Speaker 3: I don't think there's anything they can do in this
- 5:24Speaker 3: first round series to make anybody devalue Luka doncics there. Yes,
- 5:29Speaker 3: Lebron is doing this as the lead guy. Yes, Luke
- 5:32Speaker 3: Canard giving him some help. Yes, Marcus Smart gave him
- 5:35Speaker 3: some help.
- 5:35Speaker 1: The other day.
- 5:36Speaker 3: But I don't I don't think even Lebron thinks he
- 5:38Speaker 3: can maintain this throughout. So Luca, just to put an
- 5:41Speaker 3: end to that question, yes, absolutely enjoying this. Main reason
- 5:43Speaker 3: is if he's not enjoying this, if he wants them
- 5:46Speaker 3: to lose, he's not going to play anymore this year
- 5:48Speaker 3: because if they don't win this series, he's probably not
- 5:50Speaker 3: playing I'm.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Just saying, do you think Luca's called a friend and said, hey, no,
- 5:54Speaker 1: Canard do it against Oklahoma City? I mean, how about that?
- 5:57Speaker 6: No?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Never, never got Mikey is shaking his head. No, Like
- 6:02Speaker 1: you guys, you find it impossible to believe, at the
- 6:04Speaker 1: highest level of sports that these guys would have an
- 6:07Speaker 1: ego that would allow them to go to those places.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And ego's so big that he's cheering against his own team.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Now, No, he's just not thrilled with the outcome and
- 6:14Speaker 1: how easy it's been for the Lakers to go up
- 6:17Speaker 1: to oh against the Houston Rockets. That's that's the only
- 6:19Speaker 1: reason I bring it up. Okay, that's that's why. But
- 6:23Speaker 1: here's Kevin Durant after the game, because it was surprising
- 6:27Speaker 1: to see him only get twelve shots up. Here's Durant
- 6:29Speaker 1: talking about the game.
- 6:30Speaker 7: We played this team before, and they know this is
- 6:33Speaker 7: the way for them to stay in the game, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 7: just to play this type of defense. So we got,
- 6:37Speaker 7: like I said, we got to make them pay. We
- 6:39Speaker 7: dominated from every other aspect of the game, but they
- 6:42Speaker 7: dominated us in the shot making department. So yeah, we
- 6:46Speaker 7: got to be better. I got to keep the ball
- 6:48Speaker 7: in my hands. Like I said, maybe shoot over some
- 6:50Speaker 7: of those doubles and just go grab rebounds. But for
- 6:52Speaker 7: the most part, we got to shoot with confidence.
- 6:54Speaker 3: That was very confused. We've played this team before. When
- 6:57Speaker 3: is that every team that's played in the playoffs, that's
- 6:59Speaker 3: played again, that's the team they're playing against before. It
- 7:03Speaker 3: was weird to say to hear him say they know
- 7:06Speaker 3: that they need to play this type of defense to
- 7:09Speaker 3: stay in the game. Would that not mean you know
- 7:12Speaker 3: that that type of defense is coming and you're better
- 7:14Speaker 3: prepared for it, because you heard in the Lebron clip
- 7:17Speaker 3: where he's talking about change up curveball fastball, where he's like, yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 3: we've got to change it up on them, it can't
- 7:23Speaker 3: be the same thing. But it wasn't really ever that.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Detailed.
- 7:29Speaker 3: It wasn't very that complicated of a double team. In fact,
- 7:32Speaker 3: it would it would sort of show itself at the
- 7:35Speaker 3: worst possible times because Lebron could just see right past
- 7:38Speaker 3: it and make the easy pass. And so, yeah, I
- 7:41Speaker 3: find it sort of mind boggling a that they are,
- 7:45Speaker 3: you know, basically dealing with Katie and these double teams
- 7:49Speaker 3: rather and have no idea how to run offense. Seemingly
- 7:53Speaker 3: it seems like they're back in the early part of
- 7:54Speaker 3: the season where if Katie doesn't get the ball within
- 7:56Speaker 3: the first ten seconds of the shot clock, we don't
- 7:58Speaker 3: know what to do. And that's just not a great
- 8:00Speaker 3: way to play. And you know, you don't have great
- 8:03Speaker 3: spot up shooters here. Tyr Easton had a spell of
- 8:05Speaker 3: the season where he was basically a fifty percent three
- 8:07Speaker 3: point shooter. But you don't have spot up shooters. So
- 8:09Speaker 3: if somebody comes to the double team, if you finally
- 8:11Speaker 3: get the ball to Durant and then he kicks it
- 8:12Speaker 3: out to somebody with a wide open shot, it's still
- 8:15Speaker 3: not a great shot unless it's like Reed Shepherd.
- 8:17Speaker 1: The problem is, is he in a game that you
- 8:19Speaker 1: have to win. You're down one to zero without Luca,
- 8:21Speaker 1: without Austin Reeves, Kevin Durant only takes twelve shots in Easton,
- 8:25Speaker 1: who you just mentioned, puts up fourteen. Like that's a problem, man,
- 8:28Speaker 1: it really is. I don't know if that's on the coach.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I don't know if that's on Kevin Durant, but it's
- 8:33Speaker 1: a problem. Durant needs to be more active.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I do think that a lot of the sort
- 8:37Speaker 3: of simpler analyzes on this is that, oh, they don't
- 8:40Speaker 3: have a point guard, they can't get into their offense
- 8:42Speaker 3: fast enough. But if they had Fred van Vliet, there
- 8:45Speaker 3: would still be pressure on the ball. They would still
- 8:47Speaker 3: be two on Durant pretty much everywhere he went. It's
- 8:50Speaker 3: not like Aman Thompson's making bad decisions out there, and
- 8:53Speaker 3: nine of those turnovers were Kadi's, so I don't think
- 8:56Speaker 3: the point guard has much to do with that stue.
- 8:59Speaker 5: I saw stat Tim Bontemps on Twitter who said Kevin
- 9:02Speaker 5: Durant has now lost seven consecutive playoff games, his last
- 9:05Speaker 5: playoff win May seventh, twenty twenty three, And is he
- 9:10Speaker 5: That's kind of why I was confused when you were
- 9:12Speaker 5: so high on the Rockets in the preseason, because I'm
- 9:15Speaker 5: trying to think back, like, when is the last time
- 9:18Speaker 5: that Kevin Durant actually made a team a title contender?
- 9:21Speaker 3: Well, I mean, yeah, it's been probably the Brooklyn Nets.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I mean, he's, you know, one smaller shoe size away
- 9:27Speaker 3: from winning that first round series, and he knows what
- 9:29Speaker 3: happens after that. But I was excited because he was
- 9:34Speaker 3: the finishing piece for the Rockets they needed, not a
- 9:38Speaker 3: big time score. They just need a finisher, They needed
- 9:40Speaker 3: a closer, They needed somebody that, hey, we know when
- 9:42Speaker 3: we can get a good shot off, when we want
- 9:45Speaker 3: to get a good great shot off, we can give
- 9:46Speaker 3: the ball to Kevin Durant. But they're playing like it's
- 9:49Speaker 3: two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Every possession they're just, oh,
- 9:52Speaker 3: we got to get the ball to keV. We got
- 9:53Speaker 3: to get the ball to keV. And you can see
- 9:55Speaker 3: sometimes when they're not doing that, they just feel it's
- 9:58Speaker 3: either one or two things. They either feel confused because
- 10:00Speaker 3: they're waiting til the last second and they just don't
- 10:02Speaker 3: really they're not in any sort of rhythm, or they
- 10:04Speaker 3: feel free and it's just like, all right, I can
- 10:06Speaker 3: finally play basketball. But the other problem is there's a
- 10:09Speaker 3: second guy on that offense that is very similar and
- 10:12Speaker 3: that it slows everything down when you have to try
- 10:14Speaker 3: to get the ball to him. It's Alpi saying, gude
- 10:16Speaker 3: because he's a classic post up player, so you got
- 10:18Speaker 3: to get him in the post. You got to let
- 10:19Speaker 3: him go to work. You gotta, you know, work around him.
- 10:22Speaker 3: And in those scenarios, the doubles can come at different times.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It can really throw you off and it just it
- 10:28Speaker 3: doesn't make for great offense. The only thing that I
- 10:31Speaker 3: was saying Taylor going into the playoffs is hey, if
- 10:33Speaker 3: everything slows down, maybe it's suited for the Rockets because
- 10:37Speaker 3: they're doing that. But we can see right here, it's
- 10:39Speaker 3: just not that innovative.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Stu armed with hindsight.
- 10:42Speaker 5: If Kevin Durant was given truth serum m hm, and
- 10:46Speaker 5: you asked him, Hey, if you could go back and
- 10:49Speaker 5: redo your career, would you just stay in Oklahoma City?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yes?
- 10:53Speaker 4: Do you think he would?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yes? He should have. Yep. He was up three to
- 10:56Speaker 1: one in the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors, ended
- 10:59Speaker 1: up losing that series, then join the Warriors rather than
- 11:02Speaker 1: come back and do it again. Yes, I think Kevin
- 11:03Speaker 1: Durant would say I should have stayed in Oklahoma City.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Do you think he wins in Oklahoma City? Is he
- 11:08Speaker 1: if he does that?
- 11:09Speaker 3: Of actually yes, but I don't think he does that.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I think you give him truth therem and he's gonna
- 11:12Speaker 3: say I would rather played with Steph than played for
- 11:14Speaker 3: Billy Donovan for four more.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Years, I think. But I think even those players on
- 11:18Speaker 1: the Warriors felt like I think they were joking around
- 11:22Speaker 1: about it, like, Hey, we didn't need him. It was
- 11:24Speaker 1: a luxury to have Kevin Durant. We had the greatest
- 11:27Speaker 1: season in NBA history before he got here.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Well, you go from saying, hey, maybe we didn't need
- 11:33Speaker 3: him for a championship and to just saying, oh yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 3: we were probably the best team ever. And that's a fine.
- 11:38Speaker 3: That's a fun conversation I have. It's a fun team
- 11:40Speaker 3: to be a part of. Even if you know some
- 11:41Speaker 3: people say you had an embarrassment of riches.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Well it's up, Dan.
- 11:44Speaker 8: I did want to ask, is he this are the
- 11:46Speaker 8: Boston Celtics the biggest winner in the eme Udoka affair.
- 11:51Speaker 8: And I mean, I mean because you see I mean,
- 11:56Speaker 8: and you just said it a few minutes ago of
- 11:58Speaker 8: maybe some of the limitations of the Houston Rockets, and
- 12:01Speaker 8: we see how Boston has thrived with Joe Missoula. I
- 12:04Speaker 8: think I may U Doka is also maybe put under
- 12:06Speaker 8: the microscope here.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 3: No, I've said this before. I think that there was
- 12:09Speaker 3: somebody who leaked all that in the Boston Celtics organization
- 12:12Speaker 3: because they're like, he may not a great coach, what's
- 12:14Speaker 3: he doing? Okay, let's get this out there. Because they
- 12:17Speaker 3: had somebody in the ranks that was better, and that
- 12:19Speaker 3: was Joe Missoula. I'm not saying that they actually knew that,
- 12:22Speaker 3: but yeah, it's a fortunate accident for them to get
- 12:24Speaker 3: away from e May because he seems like a stubborn
- 12:27Speaker 3: old head head coach and that's just not gonna work.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go out to Dylan, who is in Denver today.
- 12:33Speaker 1: He wants to talk goats. Go ahead, Dylan. Oh, Dylan's gone. Okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: let's take it off the board next time. I'm pretty
- 12:41Speaker 1: sure it was Lebron is He was a great night
- 12:44Speaker 1: last night. You had, you know, you have Lebron doing
- 12:46Speaker 1: what he did. You have the Rockets now down two
- 12:49Speaker 1: in that series and we'll go back to Houston. But
- 12:51Speaker 1: you had Philly with a big upset. I think that
- 12:53Speaker 1: was the big shocker of the night. Webbin Yama, that's
- 12:56Speaker 1: an injury. We'll see if he comes back. He's in
- 12:58Speaker 1: concussion protocol. But the most shocking thing from last night
- 13:02Speaker 1: was Philadelphia without embiid beating a Celtic team that many
- 13:06Speaker 1: people felt was almost unbeatable. You know, that was a
- 13:09Speaker 1: shocking victory from the Sixers. And I'm not certain which
- 13:12Speaker 1: team I want to advance because both of that annoying
- 13:16Speaker 1: fan bases, and I don't know which one's going to
- 13:18Speaker 1: be more annoying moving forward.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I mean, just in terms of who needs it more,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I would say Philly needs to win more than Boston.
- 13:25Speaker 3: They're just coming off of a title a couple of
- 13:27Speaker 3: years ago. But I you know, fast forward five years
- 13:30Speaker 3: from MoU Stu and I have five years, three or
- 13:33Speaker 3: four years. Okay, Tyrese Maxie and VJ Edgecombe. Are they
- 13:36Speaker 3: going to be better than what Jason Tatum and Jalen
- 13:39Speaker 3: Brown are because that's a huge step to make right.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It's a good question. I mean, those two are really good.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I don't know why I've been fighting to rees Maxi
- 13:47Speaker 1: being one of the best players in the NBA for
- 13:49Speaker 1: a couple of years now, but he's one of the
- 13:50Speaker 1: best players in the NBA, and I just have to
- 13:52Speaker 1: accept that. I don't know what I'm doing with Terse
- 13:55Speaker 1: Maxie and why I don't want to accept it, but
- 13:57Speaker 1: I think I have to accept it now. He's doing
- 13:59Speaker 1: this without embiid.
- 14:00Speaker 3: This is pretty much classic Celtics. You know, in the
- 14:03Speaker 3: regular season, they're going to put up their threes and
- 14:06Speaker 3: even in the days of the games that they don't
- 14:09Speaker 3: make them, they're going to probably have a way to win, right,
- 14:12Speaker 3: Jalen Brown can get us some easy buckets. Jason Tatum
- 14:15Speaker 3: can get us some easy buckets. In the playoffs, it's
- 14:18Speaker 3: a little bit more difficult if you're not hitting your
- 14:20Speaker 3: threes because you're not getting easy twos. You're not gonna somebody.
- 14:23Speaker 3: They're not going to let you just go to work
- 14:25Speaker 3: and get a fish in shots. And so you saw
- 14:27Speaker 3: last night, what was Boston thirteen of fifty from three
- 14:31Speaker 3: point Rangers twenty six percent. That's awful. And so if
- 14:34Speaker 3: you don't have Jason Tatum carrying you, he was eight
- 14:36Speaker 3: of nineteen, not great. If you don't have Jalen Brown
- 14:38Speaker 3: carrying you, he's eleven of twenty four, that was fine,
- 14:41Speaker 3: then you're gonna struggle, especially when you've got MAXI and
- 14:44Speaker 3: VJ on their games.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Speaking of annoying fan basis Stu, I think the biggest
- 14:49Speaker 5: winner from last night with the Celtics losing was the Knicks.
- 14:53Speaker 5: We kind of got some of the stink off us
- 14:55Speaker 5: and distracted people's eyes away from how bad our game
- 14:59Speaker 5: to collapse was.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's still there for me. I mean it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I mean we lost to the Hawks at home. We
- 15:05Speaker 1: lost a CJ. McCollum at home. This is not Trey Young,
- 15:08Speaker 1: this is not Reggie Miller. This is a guy who
- 15:11Speaker 1: averages twenty points a game. Yes, he's a good player,
- 15:13Speaker 1: He's never been to an All Star game. I mean,
- 15:15Speaker 1: we lost a CJ. McCollum at home. And I don't
- 15:18Speaker 1: think last night anything that happened got the stink off
- 15:21Speaker 1: of the New York Knicks.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Was a good try though, Taylor, Yeah, that was a
- 15:25Speaker 3: good try.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yeah, woy, you felt better last night. You felt better
- 15:29Speaker 1: about yourself last night.
- 15:31Speaker 5: So I, in part I did feel better. But my
- 15:34Speaker 5: knights are basically predetermined, Like you could guess how I'm
- 15:37Speaker 5: feeling in the morning based on what the Yankees did
- 15:39Speaker 5: the night before. And the Yankees had a massive win
- 15:42Speaker 5: in Boston against the Red Sox. We heal, great start.
- 15:45Speaker 5: John Carlo hit a ball so far over the green
- 15:48Speaker 5: Monster is he that he just landed in Boston?
- 15:52Speaker 1: And the Mets lost again.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Every time you tell me that John Carlos standing update,
- 15:57Speaker 3: I'm going to say, oh, he's playing, because it's very
- 16:00Speaker 3: rare that he does. Last thing on the Rockets here
- 16:03Speaker 3: is I don't know, and I think I mentioned this briefly.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I don't know what they're doing with their rotation. Why
- 16:07Speaker 3: is it specific to this series that they're not that
- 16:10Speaker 3: they're changing everything about what they're doing. Because Reed Sheppard
- 16:13Speaker 3: playing eleven minutes off the bench and only getting four
- 16:16Speaker 3: shots off I think is not what they were doing
- 16:18Speaker 3: late in the season. And he is a good defender.
- 16:21Speaker 3: He actually gets steals, he can create turnovers, he actually
- 16:24Speaker 3: gets some blocked shots, and so he's not a liability
- 16:27Speaker 3: out there necessarily, and you need that shooting. Like, I'm
- 16:30Speaker 3: not sure what you're doing with Kevin Durant Stu. He
- 16:33Speaker 3: hadn't played in eleven days and you're gonna give him
- 16:36Speaker 3: forty one minutes and then expect him to be your
- 16:39Speaker 3: everything in the half court? Like what's going on here? Like,
- 16:42Speaker 3: I don't understand what they're doing. But I think, really, really,
- 16:45Speaker 3: the eyes have to be on Udoka, which is crazy
- 16:47Speaker 3: because they just extended him last summer.
- 16:49Speaker 2: They did be sure to catch live editions of Stu

- 17:52Speaker 1: You got it together there. You took a deep breath,
- 17:54Speaker 1: slow down. I heard it, deep breath.
- 17:56Speaker 3: This is what was bothering me. I just I think
- 17:58Speaker 3: I heard you breathing, and it just threw me off.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Wasn't breathing. I hold my breath when you do those, Taylor.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I think he made a gesture and it seemed like
- 18:05Speaker 1: he was asking if you want him to read it.
- 18:07Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, next time you could just show up
- 18:09Speaker 5: a little lad again.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I could read run the tape. That was definitely a
- 18:13Speaker 3: loud breath happening right there, Taylor.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I was thinking about what you said, which is interesting.
- 18:19Speaker 1: The Celtics losing. Does that make me feel better as
- 18:21Speaker 1: a Knicks fan? And I have to admit it does? Okay,
- 18:25Speaker 1: So I said no, because we still lost to the Hawks.
- 18:27Speaker 1: We lost to CJ. McCollum. But I was also thinking
- 18:30Speaker 1: back to that first segment and you asked me why
- 18:32Speaker 1: I always bring up that topic about whether or not
- 18:35Speaker 1: Luca feels good about seeing the Lakers have success without him.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And I have a question for you. You recently won
- 18:42Speaker 1: a doubleheader. I believe in flag football you were not
- 18:47Speaker 1: there the team two and zero without you. You sent
- 18:51Speaker 1: Izzy a text. I'm not going to have is he
- 18:53Speaker 1: read the text yet? I just want to know, honestly,
- 18:55Speaker 1: how you felt about the team having success without you.
- 18:59Speaker 5: So I started a question, maybe I am the problem,
- 19:02Speaker 5: and I started thinking about I started thinking about why
- 19:06Speaker 5: we were losing games, and then very quickly.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Realized, no, you know what it was not It was
- 19:11Speaker 4: not me. It was a problem.
- 19:12Speaker 5: I don't want to throw anybody under the bus because
- 19:15Speaker 5: certain people on this podcast, or certain people on this
- 19:18Speaker 5: radio show were very close to some of the people
- 19:20Speaker 5: that might have been problems.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Not that I'm naming any name.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Wow, that is wow.
- 19:26Speaker 1: All right, Well what I heard.
- 19:28Speaker 5: I heard we had a position change and that might
- 19:30Speaker 5: have it might have sparked it.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Again, not naming any name.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Great coaching. What was the text that Taylor sent to
- 19:36Speaker 1: you after you revealed to him that we had won
- 19:39Speaker 1: two in a row without you?
- 19:40Speaker 3: It wasn't a congratulations, It wasn't a great job. It
- 19:42Speaker 3: was Wow, I might be the problem. And in terms
- 19:48Speaker 3: of chemistry, maybe that's true.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It's so good, Taylor. I also liked the idea of
- 19:55Speaker 1: you telling us when teams in Major League Baseball have
- 19:59Speaker 1: been eliminated from playoff contention, have we arrived there yet
- 20:03Speaker 1: with the Mets?
- 20:05Speaker 5: Yeah, so if people listen to our podcast that we do.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Before the show, when the Mets had lost eleven straight games,
- 20:11Speaker 5: I had a stat that no team in MLB history
- 20:13Speaker 5: has ever lost twelve games in a row and then
- 20:16Speaker 5: wound on to make it to the playoffs. So that
- 20:18Speaker 5: obviously made yesterday's game against the Twins.
- 20:22Speaker 1: A must win.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Yeah, the Mets lost that game. They were up three nothing.
- 20:28Speaker 5: They blew a three nothing lead. They put Devin Williams
- 20:31Speaker 5: in the closer that they got from the Yankees, who surprised.
- 20:35Speaker 5: He's stunk on the Yankees. Maybe this guy just isn't
- 20:37Speaker 5: built for New York. They put him on the game,
- 20:40Speaker 5: He peed down his like, blew the game. And I
- 20:44Speaker 5: think I can't declare a game a must win game
- 20:47Speaker 5: for the Mets and then when they lose, say, oh
- 20:49Speaker 5: hold on, let me let me take a step back,
- 20:51Speaker 5: let me get my priority straight, let me reevaluate the situation. No,
- 20:54Speaker 5: if they lost a must win game, it means they're
- 20:57Speaker 5: eliminated from playoff contention in April.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Right, straight losses, So this is official, you will. No
- 21:01Speaker 1: one had this on the No one did a future
- 21:03Speaker 1: on this. The Mets being eliminated from playoff contention before
- 21:06Speaker 1: the White Sox and the Rockies or the Marlins for
- 21:08Speaker 1: that matter, bored up Ricardo. I just called them. Enrique
- 21:13Speaker 1: got super mad. But I said that. I apologize bord
- 21:17Speaker 1: up Enrique the second time I've done that.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Tonight I called him Francisco, you did get out of here.
- 21:26Speaker 1: You can't do that. No, actually I can. You can't.
- 21:30Speaker 3: No, I can.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Of the two of us, I maintain a cat.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I'm I'm Hispanic.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So yeah, So are you telling us that the Mets
- 21:41Speaker 1: have officially been eliminated from postseason play? Is that accurate?
- 21:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:45Speaker 5: So right now, if you probably go on MLB dot
- 21:47Speaker 5: com or you ask the analytics people, they're probably telling
- 21:49Speaker 5: you the Mets playoff probability is about probably somewhere in
- 21:52Speaker 5: the thirty percent, maybe maybe low forties. I'm here to
- 21:55Speaker 5: tell you, Nope, it's actually zero percent.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Okay, Mikey, we good with this, Taylor being he sides
- 22:00Speaker 1: when teams are out of playoff contention.
- 22:02Speaker 9: Taylor's on such a hot streak when it comes to
- 22:04Speaker 9: this stuff that I am not going to argue.
- 22:06Speaker 4: If Taylor says they're out, they're out right.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Well, he said the Hornets, we're going for it right now,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and they're out, So I mean, yeah, yeah, but for
- 22:13Speaker 1: a while, right Taylor, I have some news for you.
- 22:17Speaker 1: By the way, I think this will help soothe you,
- 22:20Speaker 1: the gentlemen from the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks are not
- 22:24Speaker 1: in at one game apiece, but the guy who made
- 22:26Speaker 1: this call towards the end of Game two hit it
- 22:29Speaker 1: iowas in.
- 22:30Speaker 10: Dicks have the ball, they drive left sides, bridges, no good.
- 22:33Speaker 10: Next the game and the Atlanta Hawks have won the game.
- 22:37Speaker 10: The Atlanta Hawks have even this series at one game apiece.
- 22:40Speaker 10: That in probable victory. The Hawks were down all night.
- 22:43Speaker 10: They couldn't prevolve, they couldn't shoot, and all of a
- 22:46Speaker 10: sudden they came in here and they quieted the lovemouth
- 22:48Speaker 10: fans in New York.
- 22:50Speaker 1: They shut them up. Steve Holman's his name. He's gonna
- 22:54Speaker 1: join us tomorrow, Taylor.
- 22:57Speaker 5: No part of me feels even slight lee better here
- 23:00Speaker 5: and that he's gonna join me. Because when he's doing
- 23:03Speaker 5: that call, he's doing that call for every Atlanta Hawks
- 23:07Speaker 5: fan that's listening to the game and wants to.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Hear his call.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Yes, but when he says loud mouthed New York fans,
- 23:14Speaker 5: he might as well be talking to me directly.
- 23:18Speaker 1: He is. I mean, I love the local broadcast doing that.
- 23:22Speaker 1: You have to sink into it if you're a local broadcaster.
- 23:24Speaker 11: Go ahead, Mikey, you know I got I don't care
- 23:27Speaker 11: about the Knicks nearly as much as Taylor, but I'm
- 23:29Speaker 11: offended and I want to be like, oh yeah, well.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, I have known Steve Holman
- 23:38Speaker 1: for a long time. I've yelled at him before. He
- 23:41Speaker 1: doesn't care. You're gonna end up loving, falling in love
- 23:44Speaker 1: with Steve Holman, and it's gonna make you upset. It's
- 23:46Speaker 1: gonna make you angry. I know that's not the goal, tailor,
- 23:49Speaker 1: but you're gonna You're gonna like the guy. I'm telling you,
- 23:51Speaker 1: that's the last thing I want.
- 23:52Speaker 5: I'm kind of going into Game three tomorrow like the
- 23:55Speaker 5: like horse blinders on.
- 23:57Speaker 4: I have to be locked in.
- 23:58Speaker 5: I don't have time to be, you know, yucking it
- 24:01Speaker 5: off with Steep Holman when he's calling me a loud
- 24:03Speaker 5: out New York fan.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I would love to see Taylor and Steve Holman out
- 24:06Speaker 3: in the street somewhere, just having a beer, just hanging out,
- 24:09Speaker 3: just a perfect odd couple right there.
- 24:11Speaker 1: He's like seventy some odd years exactly. That's I guess
- 24:14Speaker 1: that's the kind of person Taylor would be hanging out with,
- 24:16Speaker 1: having a beer. Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 3: So Taylor mentioned the stat about no team having lost
- 24:21Speaker 3: twelve straight games in the regular season and made the playoffs,
- 24:24Speaker 3: and it just made me think of what the team
- 24:26Speaker 3: was that won eleven or lost eleven in a row
- 24:28Speaker 3: and still made the playoffs.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 3: It was the nineteen fifty one New York Giants, yessing,
- 24:33Speaker 3: that's baseball, and they lost eleven in a row recovered
- 24:37Speaker 3: to actually win the National League Pennant Wow.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Wow.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And then last year Cleveland Guardians.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Last year yeah, ten ten straight losses.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yeah, somehow made the playoffs, but we're at twelve.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Yeah, And Stu, you know how I have my ears
- 24:50Speaker 5: to the street with everything happening in New York. Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 5: they want the Mets manager, fired Mendoza, and they want
- 24:56Speaker 5: to bring in Carlos Beltron. And if you were a member,
- 25:01Speaker 5: they hired Carlos Beltron and then everything with the cheating
- 25:04Speaker 5: scandal came out with the Astros, and before Carlos Beltron
- 25:07Speaker 5: even managed a game, the will Pons told him, Hey,
- 25:10Speaker 5: we want you out of here.
- 25:11Speaker 4: We're gonna fire you.
- 25:12Speaker 5: But now it seems like now that they have new ownership, Yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 5: new ownership might be might be willing to turn a
- 25:17Speaker 5: blind eye and be like, hey, let's let's let's try
- 25:20Speaker 5: the Beltron experience.
- 25:22Speaker 1: It sounds like they could use a little cheating. If
- 25:26Speaker 1: you ain't cheating, you ain't trying, Mikey.
- 25:28Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not sure.
- 25:31Speaker 5: I'm not sure how much of Mendoza's fault it is
- 25:34Speaker 5: that they that they pay all this money to bobas
- 25:36Speaker 5: Sheet and Bobashek can't even get a hit.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I mean they've lost twelve straight. I mean you have
- 25:41Speaker 1: to blame something on Mendoza, right, I mean, they've lost
- 25:44Speaker 1: twelve straight. They're an embarrassment. They have like the fourth
- 25:46Speaker 1: highest pay roll in baseball. It's embarrassing. It's the Dodgers. Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 1: I'd be good with firing Mendoza right now, especially since
- 25:52Speaker 1: you eliminated them from playoff contention. And it's the earliest
- 25:55Speaker 1: ever in a baseball season where a team has officially
- 25:58Speaker 1: been eliminated from playoff contention.
- 26:00Speaker 3: The craziest part about this is they would have to
- 26:02Speaker 3: go until late September at this rate to actually be
- 26:06Speaker 3: eliminated in the playoffs. That's how long of a season
- 26:08Speaker 3: this is.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Yeah, if the Mets make the playoffs and they beat
- 26:12Speaker 5: my analytics and my projections. I will go on Instagram
- 26:15Speaker 5: Live and eat one hundred hot dogs until and I
- 26:18Speaker 5: can't turn off the live until I eat all one hundreds.
- 26:21Speaker 1: And Carlos Beltrin would win Manager of the Year.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Un included.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 26:31Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Cam Hey, we're going to join us in about fifteen
- 26:39Speaker 1: minutes with the Steelers doing stuff for the NFL Draft,
- 26:43Speaker 1: which kicks off tomorrow night, first round.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I need these TVs to stop showing the victim women
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yama fall. I look to my right all the time
- 26:51Speaker 3: and it's chin to the ground, and I just get
- 26:52Speaker 3: the chills every time.
- 26:53Speaker 1: It's awful. Right, Yeah, he's in concussion protocol. That was
- 26:58Speaker 1: the biggest news of the night last night. You could
- 26:59Speaker 1: talk about, you know, the Sixers beating the Celtics, you
- 27:02Speaker 1: could talk about Lebron James, but the Spurs losing that
- 27:04Speaker 1: guy and we don't know how long he's going to
- 27:06Speaker 1: be gone. That's the biggest story so far of the
- 27:09Speaker 1: NBA playoffs.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Well love them playoff, I'm not going to say last
- 27:11Speaker 3: night that and the Mets being eliminated playoffs.
- 27:15Speaker 1: How the Phillies do it?
- 27:16Speaker 4: Taylor Not, Well, I've got my eyes on them.
- 27:20Speaker 5: We're keeping tabs on the Phillies, but it's not looking
- 27:24Speaker 5: too good for them earlier.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So right now, it's just the Mets, right, that's it.
- 27:27Speaker 1: That's the only team that's been eliminated.
- 27:29Speaker 5: No, there's a couple of other teams, but the Mets
- 27:31Speaker 5: are definitely the highest profile team. We just kind of
- 27:34Speaker 5: automatically eliminate the Rockies anytime the Rocky season Okay, so
- 27:38Speaker 5: get started.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so the Rockies.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Right, the Rockies are out.
- 27:43Speaker 5: The Rockies are out, the Mets are out, and I'm
- 27:45Speaker 5: also I'm gonna make the call even though it's still early.
- 27:49Speaker 4: The White Sox.
- 27:49Speaker 3: The White Sox are also wow.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I mean they're playing better though, so you don't care
- 27:53Speaker 1: nine and fourteen, I know, but look at the record
- 27:56Speaker 1: a year ago. How long did it take the White
- 27:59Speaker 1: soze it last year to get the nine wins months?
- 28:05Speaker 11: Don't sleep on Colston Montgomery.
- 28:08Speaker 5: This is also a big series for us to because
- 28:11Speaker 5: if the Yankees do sweep the Red Sox, there are
- 28:14Speaker 5: some talks in the circles that the Red Sox might
- 28:18Speaker 5: be the next team eliminated.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Really, I mean, what do you mean the year and
- 28:23Speaker 1: your dad?
- 28:23Speaker 5: Yes, So it's like yeah, it's like it's exactly Mikey.
- 28:27Speaker 5: It's a circle of trust. It's like a consulting.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Group that I have specifically that knows a lot of baseball.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yeah, group, let's get to do me a favor. Give
- 28:39Speaker 1: me the music. I was I want to say, this
- 28:48Speaker 1: is a segment we do every Wednesday on the show,
- 28:50Speaker 1: but I'm not certain that we do it every Wednesday
- 28:52Speaker 1: on the show because we have a d D.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I was gonna say we should do it every Monday.
- 28:57Speaker 1: They really pick me up type of music. All right,
- 29:01Speaker 1: let's go out to uh, let's go to Iowa Sam first? Yes, yes,
- 29:06Speaker 1: and leadoff here. Well, I was so surprised that you
- 29:08Speaker 1: had one that I wanted to get to you first
- 29:11Speaker 1: before you didn't have one.
- 29:12Speaker 12: Yeah, it was ready to go. This one wasn't like
- 29:14Speaker 12: a spur of the moment thought, but h here we go.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 29:18Speaker 12: Okay, So you guys saw that the seventy six ers
- 29:20Speaker 12: beat the Celtics.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Sure, the Celtics were a big favorite.
- 29:23Speaker 6: I know.
- 29:24Speaker 12: Head coach Joe Mizzoula likes to tighten his rotation for
- 29:27Speaker 12: the postseason.
- 29:27Speaker 1: That's what I read. But Joe Missoula, do me a favor.
- 29:32Speaker 12: You played the NBA's other Luca for only two minutes,
- 29:35Speaker 12: Luca gars A two minutes, two points, that's why you lost.
- 29:38Speaker 12: Do me a favor and play Luca Garza Moore because
- 29:41Speaker 12: he's the Garzilla and he was the guy that was
- 29:43Speaker 12: the spiritual leader for the Celtics off the bench, and
- 29:46Speaker 12: he got two bleeping minutes. Give me a break, Joe Missoula,
- 29:48Speaker 12: do me a favor.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Play Luca cars On more the car Luca gars is
- 29:52Speaker 3: the player that everybody thought was traded the day that
- 29:55Speaker 3: they announced Luka Doncic. They're like, what Luca dark Oh.
- 29:58Speaker 1: No, Luca. I gotta be honest, I wish you didn't
- 30:02Speaker 1: have one. What come on?
- 30:05Speaker 12: They really love Luca Garza in Boston though in two minutes,
- 30:07Speaker 12: that's that's a disgrace.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Come on, I wonder what I've also got to be honest, Yeah,
- 30:12Speaker 5: I don't even think if you asked Luca Garza lucagars
- 30:14Speaker 5: I would have said I should play more than.
- 30:18Speaker 12: I mean, this guy was just having the best part
- 30:20Speaker 12: of his career and he's sitting there on the.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Book discussed on Dan's I need to go fine, well.
- 30:25Speaker 8: I also just wanted to follow Iowa Sam like that was.
- 30:27Speaker 8: I wanted to be first in line to follow Iowa
- 30:29Speaker 8: Sam because Iowa Sam also said this, like we all
- 30:33Speaker 8: saw last night, do me a favor, NBA, follow what
- 30:36Speaker 8: the NFL does. If you're gonna have a game on
- 30:39Speaker 8: a streaming site, don't have other games going on.
- 30:42Speaker 1: At the same time.
- 30:43Speaker 8: And I say this because I was at my father
- 30:45Speaker 8: in law's last night and it was just easier to
- 30:48Speaker 8: put on Spurs Trailblazers at that time than to switch
- 30:52Speaker 8: over load up an app sign in.
- 30:55Speaker 1: The great thing about.
- 30:56Speaker 8: The NFL and what they do with Netflix and Prime
- 30:59Speaker 8: Video is there's it's not another NFL game going on
- 31:02Speaker 8: at the same time, so it's my only option. If
- 31:04Speaker 8: I have to pick between one or the other, I'm
- 31:07Speaker 8: probably going for the easier route.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, good good co, well done cutting the line
- 31:11Speaker 1: I had you fifth. I mean, timing was everything I know.
- 31:17Speaker 1: But everyone wants to follow Ayowa Sam. I mean I
- 31:20Speaker 1: was an RBR looked like Champs. I was an RBI
- 31:22Speaker 1: from Dan Bayer. I just I just crossed it was.
- 31:25Speaker 8: Probably a five on a scale of one to ten
- 31:28Speaker 8: for a take, but when it follows, Sam, I think
- 31:30Speaker 8: it got to seven and a half.
- 31:31Speaker 1: All right, Oh, I give it a ten. Yeah, you
- 31:32Speaker 1: call that a Connecticut seven.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Luca Garza has played a career fourteen playoff games, has
- 31:40Speaker 3: scored a total of fifty one points. Yeah, shooting seventy
- 31:44Speaker 3: five percent though. Get the man on the floor.
- 31:46Speaker 12: Yeah, come on, this guy's having career highs with the
- 31:48Speaker 12: Celtics in every category.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Let's go Player of the Year at twenty twenty one.
- 31:53Speaker 1: All right, let's go to.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Board op Enrique, It's Francisco Ricardo.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah, do me a favorite, guys, and learn my name.
- 32:04Speaker 1: That face. I'm so sorry, Fernando Ka.
- 32:13Speaker 3: That one was weird.
- 32:15Speaker 1: It's so weird. Let's go to EP Jason e P Jason,
- 32:18Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 32:19Speaker 13: Uh yeah, Dodgers, do me a favor and go ahead
- 32:22Speaker 13: and get Mason Miller from the Padres to replace uh
- 32:25Speaker 13: dis Yeah, And so I could hear everybody in the
- 32:28Speaker 13: country bitch about the Dodgers, and then I could be reminded,
- 32:33Speaker 13: or I could be compelled to remind everybody that if
- 32:36Speaker 13: you think baseball is ruined, then the system is ruined.
- 32:39Speaker 13: Blame the system, not the Dodgers. They're just the best
- 32:42Speaker 13: at taking advantage of it. Do me a favor sign
- 32:44Speaker 13: Mason Miller the best reliever in baseball?
- 32:47Speaker 1: If they do that, I mean, Jesus, Mason Miller.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Has he gotten too double figures and innings pitched. This
- 32:51Speaker 3: isn't here yet.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I mean, I could
- 32:55Speaker 1: blame the Dodgers if I want ep. Jason. By the way,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I can just say, you know, I mean, I understand
- 33:01Speaker 1: what you're saying. The system, it's broken, but the Dodgers
- 33:03Speaker 1: are bad for baseball. And Mason Miller can't go there
- 33:06Speaker 1: and shouldn't go there, and if he goes there, he
- 33:07Speaker 1: should be ashamed of himself. Go ahead, But.
- 33:09Speaker 5: If Mason Miller does go there, it probably boosts his
- 33:13Speaker 5: chances to win the Cy Young. And the last Cy
- 33:15Speaker 5: Young reliever was Aragonia in two thousand and three.
- 33:18Speaker 4: How about that?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Without that, Yes, let's go to mikey a here, Mikeye
- 33:24Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 33:25Speaker 9: As you guys know, I just got back from a
- 33:28Speaker 9: family vacation in Disney World and.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Disney adults.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Do me a favor, grow the.
- 33:35Speaker 11: Bleak because I can't stand.
- 33:41Speaker 14: I'm sitting there with my child who is so excited
- 33:44Speaker 14: to go on a ride built for children, and some
- 33:47Speaker 14: bibbity boppity female dog him checks him while he's trying
- 33:52Speaker 14: to get on the ride, and now he's in tears,
- 33:54Speaker 14: and I'm trying to figure out, and they're like, excuse me,
- 33:58Speaker 14: I want to be first.
- 33:59Speaker 4: I have to get in the first throw with their
- 34:01Speaker 4: free sets dress. Give me a favor, grow up.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right about this. I mean, seriously, they ruined
- 34:07Speaker 1: the entire experience for everyone they do.
- 34:10Speaker 5: I think you could have ended that insult at bippity
- 34:12Speaker 5: poppity boom.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, that was really good.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Bippity boppity female.
- 34:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah, there's another name for him too. Losers, Losers like
- 34:23Speaker 1: the sixty five thousand that showed up to the amazing
- 34:25Speaker 1: Blue game, right Dan, Yes, losers, let's go to a Taylor.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Taylor, go ahead, New York Knicks, do me a favor.
- 34:37Speaker 5: Stop with the black jerseys in the playoffs. Let's lock
- 34:39Speaker 5: in traditional home and away jerseys only. Let's not get cute.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Let's lock in I'm with them as superstitious as this guy.
- 34:47Speaker 8: I don't like that, do me a favor and forward
- 34:49Speaker 8: that to the Lakers as well, because last night looked
- 34:50Speaker 8: weird with the Lakers as well in the black.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Uniform one though. I mean, so.
- 34:57Speaker 3: That's a rocket stuff.
- 34:58Speaker 4: This is not even this is not even a superstick
- 35:00Speaker 4: that thing.
- 35:00Speaker 5: Yeah, because if I was going by that logic, I
- 35:03Speaker 5: wouldn't want to wear the jerseys that they wore last year,
- 35:05Speaker 5: which I believe was either the white or the blue
- 35:08Speaker 5: for the Haliburton game in Game one.
- 35:10Speaker 4: This is more just when I.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Watch a Knicks playoff game, I don't want to have
- 35:14Speaker 5: to look at the court and be like, hey, which
- 35:16Speaker 5: team is which team?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Right?
- 35:17Speaker 5: I know which team is which team based on if
- 35:19Speaker 5: the Knicks are wearing their home jersey or the Knicks
- 35:21Speaker 5: are wearing their wagers?
- 35:23Speaker 1: All right? Is he go ahead?
- 35:25Speaker 7: Oh man?
- 35:27Speaker 3: This is very much in the mold of your previous
- 35:29Speaker 3: I don't know if you remember this when you railed
- 35:31Speaker 3: against Hey, hard Rock bet or whoever the betting service is.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Don't send me an email congratulating me on my deposits.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Oh I hate it. It drives me crazy. I mean, hey,
- 35:41Speaker 1: congratulations on giving us another one thousand dollars.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Do me a favor, any sort of shipping company. Don't
- 35:49Speaker 3: send me an email telling me you've created a shipping label.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I don't care. I assume at some point a label
- 35:56Speaker 3: is going to go out of my package. It doesn't
- 35:58Speaker 3: mean it's getting here any batter man. Let me know
- 36:01Speaker 3: when you sent it, and that's it. I don't need
- 36:04Speaker 3: a shipping label created. Like I'm gonna get my box.
- 36:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna look at the label and be like, oh,
- 36:08Speaker 3: I know your birthday. Yes, it's so dumb. It's absolutely away.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Gets me excited, and then I'm like, oh.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Label, yes, and let me retract just a part of
- 36:16Speaker 1: what I said earlier. Unless FanDuel sends me that email.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I don't want to hear about it.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, well you got to be in the right stadium.
- 36:21Speaker 9: Yeah it is is he? You just you just did
- 36:25Speaker 9: exactly what this is all about. You just made me
- 36:27Speaker 9: mad about something that I didn't know I was mad about.
- 36:30Speaker 9: You said it, Yes, Like, why are you sending me that.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I don't care you get that half second of dopamine?
- 36:36Speaker 3: Oh my package is coming. No, it's not, it's just
- 36:38Speaker 3: a label.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I didn't know I was upset about Luca Garza until
- 36:41Speaker 1: Iowa Sam said it. I mean, I'm still not upset
- 36:44Speaker 1: about that.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Also, a real quick do me a favor, maybe an oli. Hey,
- 36:50Speaker 3: hockey fans, calm the bleep down, because when you're breaking
- 36:53Speaker 3: panes of glass right over your hockey coach or the
- 36:56Speaker 3: opposing team's hockey coach, you're going a little too hard.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Nahs playoff hockey.
- 37:01Speaker 3: You saw that, right, kings Abs. It's just terrifying. If
- 37:04Speaker 3: he would have been turned around, it would have looked
- 37:06Speaker 3: even words izy.
- 37:07Speaker 5: What would be like the food or restaurant equivalent of
- 37:10Speaker 5: your your dilemma that you have with the postal service.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Would it be like if you sat down and they
- 37:15Speaker 5: came to you and be like, hey, we just want
- 37:17Speaker 5: to let you know we just got all the ingredients.
- 37:20Speaker 1: If that was your water's been poured.
- 37:23Speaker 3: The more realistic one is when when your food's been
- 37:26Speaker 3: been waiting for a long time and the servi comes
- 37:28Speaker 3: and clearly doesn't know what the status of your food
- 37:31Speaker 3: is and they say, oh, that food's coming right out.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 37:34Speaker 1: No, you're not.
- 37:35Speaker 3: You're not sure about it at all. You're just trying
- 37:37Speaker 3: to keep me calm.
- 37:37Speaker 8: Yes, Dan, I love it when your package is in
- 37:40Speaker 8: your area, but it's still three days away from being delivered,
- 37:43Speaker 8: so you're trying to figure out why, and like what
- 37:46Speaker 8: post office he could go to so it could be
- 37:48Speaker 8: out for delivery that day.
- 37:51Speaker 3: The email that says your ten stops away from your path,
- 37:55Speaker 3: I have no idea what that means. I'll just go
- 37:58Speaker 3: down it be anyway.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I'm just I'm top eight.
- 38:01Speaker 11: The first stop is in Pittsburgh.
- 38:05Speaker 1: There are so many examples of that. Iowa Samkambry Late.
- 38:08Speaker 1: You got to a dispensary, right, Iowa Sam. And you
- 38:12Speaker 1: put the order in and they tell you, Hey, you
- 38:14Speaker 1: know we receive the order. Hey, your orders being prepared. Hey,
- 38:17Speaker 1: do me a favor. When the weed is ready, just
- 38:19Speaker 1: tell me I'll come pick it up.
- 38:20Speaker 12: That's it and cut out all the middle stuff.
- 38:25Speaker 4: I know we're not playing.
- 38:26Speaker 12: Is it just me?
- 38:26Speaker 4: Or but is it just me?
- 38:28Speaker 5: Or does it kind of feel like the Amazon services
- 38:32Speaker 5: have there's less things that are available for like fast delivery.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Now to be a favorite, Taylor, stick to the game. Okay,
- 38:40Speaker 3: let's just go off.
- 38:41Speaker 1: The book.
- 38:45Speaker 4: A fake.
- 38:53Speaker 3: For those who couldn't see that, Taylor likes to take notes,
- 38:56Speaker 3: but he likes to hold the pen like a toddler.
- 38:58Speaker 3: The fake pen, and it's just in his fist, complosed fist,
- 39:02Speaker 3: just writing on what seems like a tablet.
- 39:04Speaker 5: The best thing is that in front of me, I
- 39:07Speaker 5: actually do have a pen and paper to write stuff down,
- 39:10Speaker 5: but it's just funnier to me if I just fake
- 39:12Speaker 5: write things.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Fernando Mendoza, do me a favor. You're going to be
- 39:16Speaker 1: the number one pick in the NFL draft. You're going
- 39:19Speaker 1: to go to the Las Vegas Raiders. Everyone is raving
- 39:22Speaker 1: about you. Do me a favor. When you're asked to
- 39:25Speaker 1: go out and throw the first pitch for a Marlins game,
- 39:28Speaker 1: do me a favor and throw it dark. How does
- 39:30Speaker 1: that sound? Okay? Did you guys see the pitch? Yeah,
- 39:33Speaker 1: I mean it would map. If I ran the Raiders,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I would have serious doubts about taking Mendoza after seeing
- 39:39Speaker 1: that pitch.
- 39:39Speaker 12: I would That's all you need to see, Donny, you
- 39:42Speaker 12: draft for a pro day, to see him see throw
- 39:44Speaker 12: a meat or plate.
- 39:46Speaker 4: But did he take vanilla or chocolate?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the most important question.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Took too long to decide.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I mean, just give me a dark give me a
- 39:54Speaker 1: fastball right down the middle.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Do you either have to be perfect or you've got
- 39:57Speaker 3: to have a terrible one. You can't just be high
- 39:59Speaker 3: in the zone.
- 40:00Speaker 1: His was bad and inaccurate. I mean
