- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to Almost Famous The Ogs. I am your host,
- 0:07Speaker 2: Bob Getey. My normal co host, Trista Sutter Nay Wren
- 0:13Speaker 2: is unavailable today.
- 0:15Speaker 1: She's out of the office.
- 0:16Speaker 2: And I am so excited because I have former Dancing
- 0:19Speaker 2: with the Star superstar Charity Lawson joining me.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Hi, Charity, Hello, I'm so excited to be here.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to see you again.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It's been it's been a little bit right since we
- 0:31Speaker 2: were out and where was it nor.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Cal where we were at last time together, trying to
- 0:35Speaker 4: go learning a little bit about that.
- 0:37Speaker 3: It wasn't too great, but I got a few hits.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I thought you guys were great. You guys put some
- 0:41Speaker 2: of the best video footage together from that day.
- 0:43Speaker 3: By the way, like Daisy was crushing it.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I was like, you know, if there's if I'm not golfing,
- 0:48Speaker 4: at least I can produce content or help with this.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So yeah, there you go.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Well, you definitely did it. I'm so glad to have
- 0:53Speaker 1: you on.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know, before we get started with the recap of
- 0:56Speaker 2: last night's show, let's talk a little bit about your
- 0:58Speaker 2: experience on the show.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So you know, you came right off of being the.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Bachelorette, and of course you know that was a wonderful
- 1:06Speaker 2: success for you in many many ways, and then then
- 1:09Speaker 2: you rolled right on to Dancing with the Stars and
- 1:12Speaker 2: you had a great run.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I mean, was it was it really cool experience for you?
- 1:16Speaker 3: It was? It was. It was both great but also
- 1:19Speaker 3: very hard.
- 1:20Speaker 4: And I think we hear a lot of people talk
- 1:22Speaker 4: about how hard it is, but it's one of those
- 1:25Speaker 4: things that you can't really like understand unless you're actually
- 1:28Speaker 4: like in it or going through it. And so like
- 1:30Speaker 4: I definitely came off of like a high horse, like
- 1:32Speaker 4: when I ended my season as the Bachelorette, and I
- 1:35Speaker 4: had like two weeks in between, like when I literally
- 1:39Speaker 4: came out as a public couple with Dowton until I
- 1:41Speaker 4: had to have my first like official like rehearsal, which
- 1:44Speaker 4: was crazy because obviously, like you're experiencing so many emotions
- 1:47Speaker 4: from obviously reliving all that back. But then I'm like, oh,
- 1:50Speaker 4: I loant to hop into a whole new experience and
- 1:53Speaker 4: that was crazy. But I will say, like I would
- 1:55Speaker 4: have not gotten through that without Doton.
- 1:58Speaker 3: He was an amazing support.
- 1:59Speaker 4: But this show, it's so it's so fun in so
- 2:02Speaker 4: many ways, but it's extremely hard and it's very demanding.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Days are like obviously the best part of it, like
- 2:08Speaker 4: designing your costumes. Like rehearsals are very intense and sometimes
- 2:12Speaker 4: can be brutal, but like you know, when you're in
- 2:15Speaker 4: the ballroom, it's literally like there's no other experience. I
- 2:18Speaker 4: can't like describe how like good to a feeling it is.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's so funny. I love I love hearing that. I mean,
- 2:23Speaker 1: you know, pardon me for not knowing this, but did
- 2:25Speaker 1: you have dance experience in the past before you went
- 2:27Speaker 1: on the show?
- 2:28Speaker 4: Yeah, so, I guess in dance world they don't like
- 2:32Speaker 4: to consider cheerleading, which is not it's clearly not the
- 2:34Speaker 4: same thing. I did competitive cheerleading growing up, so that
- 2:37Speaker 4: did like obviously place me a little bit, if you
- 2:40Speaker 4: want to say, have a little upper hand, but no
- 2:43Speaker 4: dance class. I never took like ballet, jazz, none of that.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Like I almost essentially had two left feet coming into
- 2:49Speaker 4: my very.
- 2:50Speaker 1: First rehearsal because I was like, what hell.
- 2:52Speaker 3: So much harder than my cheering well you.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Know, I mean cheerleading.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I mean, so my sister my mom was like a
- 2:57Speaker 2: competitive cheerleading coach, my sister competitive cheering. They were national champions,
- 3:01Speaker 2: world champions back in the day, and so I know
- 3:03Speaker 2: how difficult demanding.
- 3:04Speaker 1: That can be.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I think maybe from a choreography standpoint, like obviously you
- 3:08Speaker 2: you were able to probably learn choreography better than like me.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And if I go out there, I'd be like, you know,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I won't even know what to do.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So I'm sure I had to be a cool experience
- 3:16Speaker 2: for you to like kind of get those muscles flexed again.
- 3:18Speaker 3: For sure. For sure a lot of muscle memory.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I can only imagine.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I mean, I think I'm one of the few leads
- 3:26Speaker 2: who you know, Trista and Andrew Firestone and I were
- 3:28Speaker 2: all in the same season, like literally like in the
- 3:30Speaker 2: same year. We all filmed our shows, and you know,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and they made the very wise choice of putting Trista
- 3:37Speaker 2: on Dancing with the Stars instead of Andrew or myself.
- 3:40Speaker 2: But I think about a lot of times, I'm always like,
- 3:43Speaker 2: I feel like, you know, I always say this to
- 3:44Speaker 2: Trista after every episode I watch.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know, I just feel like I
- 3:48Speaker 1: got it in me somehow.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I don't know where you like low, like secretly want
- 3:52Speaker 4: to do it, like were you yeah?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, And in fact, you know, they they did a
- 3:58Speaker 2: few years later, they sort of soft approached me with
- 4:02Speaker 2: my ex wife, who was an actress on All My Children.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They approached us as kind of like being a couple
- 4:06Speaker 1: on the show, and she was not into it at all.
- 4:10Speaker 1: She's like nothing. Yeah. I was like really, because I
- 4:13Speaker 1: mean I think I could kill this thing. I'm gonna
- 4:15Speaker 1: be a little great dancer.
- 4:17Speaker 2: So in my mind, I'm still I think maybe it's
- 4:19Speaker 2: because I was never on the show. I've not been
- 4:21Speaker 2: proven wrong that I would have just been spectacular.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I watched a show and I
- 4:28Speaker 1: watched I mean I remember watching you on.
- 4:30Speaker 2: The show, and you, you know, the lifts and everything
- 4:33Speaker 2: else that everybody does are just mind blowing to me.
- 4:36Speaker 3: You know, it's so insane.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And then also when you just think about like the
- 4:39Speaker 4: schedule of the show, like how quick we have to
- 4:42Speaker 4: learn things.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So it's like a lot of those Yeah, like it
- 4:45Speaker 3: was in me because I was like not, I guess, fearful.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Of doing them.
- 4:48Speaker 4: But a lot of the lifts are also very different
- 4:50Speaker 4: in dance world versus like cheering, and I feel like
- 4:52Speaker 4: they're almost a little bit harder in dance world. So
- 4:55Speaker 4: like to know, I had like maybe three days to
- 4:57Speaker 4: learn something and art and was like, we're just gonna
- 4:58Speaker 4: try it.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I was like, well, you know, I think about it too,
- 5:02Speaker 2: like the one of the bigger differences. And I said
- 5:05Speaker 2: this about Alana's routine last week when when they had
- 5:08Speaker 2: her on the table starting and she jumped off the
- 5:09Speaker 2: table and stuff.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You're doing all this.
- 5:11Speaker 2: In heels as a woman too, which is like, that's
- 5:14Speaker 2: got to be a world of difference than you know,
- 5:16Speaker 2: throwing on some rebox and jumping around. You know.
- 5:18Speaker 4: It is always says like when I first like we
- 5:22Speaker 4: start off with just obviously either socks or just like
- 5:24Speaker 4: your bare feet or sneakers. But in the moment that
- 5:27Speaker 4: you like have to break in your shoes. It's like
- 5:29Speaker 4: learning how to walk like you It's so hard.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So I can't even imagine it because those shoes do
- 5:34Speaker 1: not look comfortable.
- 5:35Speaker 3: You know, you get like the worst like feet in
- 5:38Speaker 3: toe blisters.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's awful.
- 5:39Speaker 3: It's really like not fun.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know you did a great job when
- 5:44Speaker 2: you were on the show, and we have of course, Scott, we'll.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Just put it out there right now.
- 5:48Speaker 2: We're gonna have a little bit of a spoiler alert,
- 5:50Speaker 2: So if someone has not watched last night's episode of
- 5:53Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars, which I believe is episode five,
- 5:55Speaker 2: we are going to talk about who was eliminated last night.
- 5:57Speaker 1: We are going to discuss that. But let's get right
- 6:00Speaker 1: into it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So I think one of the coolest things that kicked
- 6:03Speaker 2: off the show for me last night was a guy
- 6:05Speaker 2: that I've become friends with over the years was Mark
- 6:07Speaker 2: Ballas came back to the show as a guest judge
- 6:10Speaker 2: and I we've we've talked at length, Tristan I have
- 6:14Speaker 2: about how much we love the huff family on this show.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Like I just think that they are just doing such
- 6:19Speaker 2: a great job. You know Derek of course you know
- 6:21Speaker 2: from the from the judging perspective, and of course his
- 6:24Speaker 2: beautiful sister doing the hosting, which I think she's spectacular
- 6:28Speaker 2: at it and I love seeing her on the show.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But last night was dedication night. Yeah, did you guys
- 6:33Speaker 1: do that? During your season?
- 6:35Speaker 4: We had a similar like I guess a prior to
- 6:37Speaker 4: it was more most memorable year, So like, obviously what
- 6:41Speaker 4: year like stood out? And so if you wanted to
- 6:43Speaker 4: dedicate a dance. You could have done it then to someone,
- 6:45Speaker 4: but I did. I ended up dedicating one of my
- 6:48Speaker 4: dances to dott And, which was like on Whitney Houston Night,
- 6:51Speaker 4: So that was like later down the road, but it
- 6:53Speaker 4: was kind of different.
- 6:54Speaker 3: We had Most Memorable Year instead. Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, for the record, I love you too as
- 6:59Speaker 1: a couple. By the way, I got to hang on.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I thought it was awesome, But you know, it.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Would have to be so difficult, I would imagine, And
- 7:04Speaker 2: we've talked about this a little bit on our podcast too,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you know, and you were on the side of it
- 7:10Speaker 2: that I think would be an equally challenging part of it, right,
- 7:13Speaker 2: like your your new betrothed. You know, this person loves
- 7:16Speaker 2: you is sitting there watching you do a lot of
- 7:19Speaker 2: you know, very close and suggestive style moves with another man.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I mean, that had to be tough on Dotton. But
- 7:24Speaker 2: I know he's a confident dude anyway, but it's.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Like gotta be tough, right, I mean, I would.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Have a hard time, way more harder for me than
- 7:31Speaker 4: it was him, which I think he's like just so secure,
- 7:34Speaker 4: which I love, But for me, I like, definitely it
- 7:37Speaker 4: like pushed me out of a little bit out of
- 7:39Speaker 4: my comfort zone because I was like, oh my goodness,
- 7:41Speaker 4: Like this isn't my person, but I'm like having to like.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Roll my hips on him. I'm like, I don't know
- 7:45Speaker 1: what's going.
- 7:48Speaker 2: This.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely a little bit of like a learning curve.
- 7:50Speaker 4: But then you get to a point obviously, like because
- 7:52Speaker 4: you spend so much time with them that at some
- 7:55Speaker 4: point it just is natural or it has to come
- 7:57Speaker 4: after you have no choice.
- 7:58Speaker 3: But yeah, definitely hard for sure.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I could definitely see that.
- 8:12Speaker 2: So last night, of course, Ballast joins the crew, which
- 8:15Speaker 2: was pretty cool, and he hasn't been since twenty twenty two,
- 8:19Speaker 2: and so I thought that was pretty awesome.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And what was What were some dances that stuck out
- 8:23Speaker 1: for you last night?
- 8:23Speaker 2: But we can go through we'll talk about everybody a
- 8:25Speaker 2: little bit, but what were some ones that you loved?
- 8:28Speaker 4: Okay, so I'd have to say Danny's Contemporary. I was
- 8:33Speaker 4: like genuinely shocked, like he was probably one of the
- 8:36Speaker 4: one dances apart from Derek and Hayley's and we'll get
- 8:38Speaker 4: to that one, but that like kind of made me tear.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Up and I was like, oh, I wasn't.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I think I had lower expectations, maybe just because, like
- 8:46Speaker 4: I understand how difficult it is to emote. He's an athlete,
- 8:49Speaker 4: so it's like one of those things that's just a
- 8:51Speaker 4: little bit maybe more challenging.
- 8:53Speaker 3: But he absolutely crushed it.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I mean, Whitney's like choreography is always insane when it comes.
- 8:58Speaker 1: She's so awesome, yeah, so good.
- 9:00Speaker 4: So I think this was definitely one of the ones
- 9:02Speaker 4: that really, like I was like kind of moved to
- 9:04Speaker 4: tears a little bit.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Chandlers.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I am just like probably her biggest fan.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I love her too. Yeah, we love her so.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Good, like so tough, and I know, like she obviously
- 9:15Speaker 4: has a little bit of a dance background, but yeah
- 9:17Speaker 4: obviously nonetheless, like learning ballroom is completely different, but her
- 9:22Speaker 4: dance obviously I love the song that she chose, but
- 9:24Speaker 4: her dedicating it to her mom, like it was just
- 9:26Speaker 4: so beautiful, beautiful. Yeah, obviously Joey, we know, Joey's like
- 9:31Speaker 4: literally crushing it, which is crazy.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I mean I never you know, I've actually still not
- 9:36Speaker 2: been at him, but I never looked at this dude
- 9:39Speaker 2: on the show and thought, I mean, I bet he's
- 9:41Speaker 2: a really good dancer like that one had never crossed
- 9:43Speaker 2: my mind.
- 9:43Speaker 4: No, like, and I think, like, obviously I Gotten and
- 9:46Speaker 4: him are really good friends. I'm friends with him and Kelsey,
- 9:49Speaker 4: but like giving them like pointers or giving Joey pointers
- 9:52Speaker 4: going into this, he seemed like so nervous or a
- 9:54Speaker 4: little bit like hesitant. But I'm like you had this
- 9:57Speaker 4: in you all along, like you were not nervous. It's
- 9:59Speaker 4: like he he is actually crushing it, which is so
- 10:02Speaker 4: he's a beast.
- 10:03Speaker 1: On the show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Like we've said a few times, like you just talked
- 10:05Speaker 2: about Chandler too, Like there are a few people on
- 10:07Speaker 2: the show where you're like, sometimes you forget who the
- 10:10Speaker 2: pro is right now, and Joey is her choreography and
- 10:14Speaker 2: everything is i know, a big part of this. But
- 10:16Speaker 2: she's making him look so good. But he's also really
- 10:18Speaker 2: stepping up and delivering, you know, And.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Then you bring up a really good point. I love
- 10:22Speaker 4: it when like the pros can recognize what their like
- 10:26Speaker 4: celebs talent or like strong suits are because obviously that
- 10:29Speaker 4: helps him stand out in the competition, and choreography is
- 10:32Speaker 4: a big part of it. And Jenna's obviously doing so
- 10:35Speaker 4: amazing with Joey, So yeah, it's so good.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I love that you guys are close with with uh,
- 10:40Speaker 2: with Kelsey and Joey too, because you know, obviously there
- 10:44Speaker 2: I love.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I love their story too, and I love I love
- 10:47Speaker 1: that he dedicated his song to her, and you know,
- 10:49Speaker 1: it was really touching.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And I thought that he, you know, the longer he
- 10:53Speaker 2: stays in this show, and and I feel the same
- 10:55Speaker 2: way about Jen too. You know, the longer they stay
- 10:58Speaker 2: in the show, the more we feel like we're actually
- 10:59Speaker 2: getting to know them, you know, because it's like, you
- 11:02Speaker 2: you know, the little behind the scenes packages kind of
- 11:04Speaker 2: show you you know, who the personality is. Yeah, that's
- 11:07Speaker 2: and that stuff you don't really get to see even
- 11:10Speaker 2: on The Bachelor or The Bachelor atte you know. So
- 11:13Speaker 2: I've enjoyed that part of it too, because I you know,
- 11:15Speaker 2: it was always kind of like, well, this.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Guy seems pretty cool on the show.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You know, he's got some people that you know, are
- 11:19Speaker 2: really good friends of them that I like, you know,
- 11:21Speaker 2: so he must be a good dude.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And to see all of it coming through is great.
- 11:25Speaker 4: No, he's he's doing so good. And obviously I can't
- 11:28Speaker 4: forget Jin. I think she's doing so good. I feel
- 11:31Speaker 4: like maybe this week was a little bit more emotional
- 11:34Speaker 4: for her because I could could kind of tell maybe
- 11:36Speaker 4: her disposition was a little bit like different Like last week, honestly,
- 11:40Speaker 4: like her pasta double was so good, I was like,
- 11:42Speaker 4: what this is crazy, the knee walks was amazing. But
- 11:45Speaker 4: this week I feel like she still did so good,
- 11:47Speaker 4: but I could tell like maybe this just like probably
- 11:49Speaker 4: hit her more. She was probably feeling a lot of
- 11:51Speaker 4: emotions with like obviously recapping like her life and like
- 11:54Speaker 4: how much was meant to her, But nonetheless like she's
- 11:58Speaker 4: doing good, and I just love her and Sasha's partnership.
- 12:01Speaker 4: I really like to such a good guy, Like.
- 12:03Speaker 1: He's just yeah, big brother figure, you know.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Definitely big brother. Like I don't see the show me
- 12:09Speaker 4: as that. I guess they're trying to push, but like
- 12:11Speaker 4: I definitely like.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Just him as a person is just a good person.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So I agree.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I think those are my tops. I feel like I
- 12:18Speaker 3: might be forgetting into.
- 12:19Speaker 1: No no, it was great.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I mean I thought, I mean you and I agree
- 12:23Speaker 2: on all those. By the way, those are my favorites
- 12:25Speaker 2: as well. I thought Steven did a great job. You know,
- 12:28Speaker 2: he's I like him and Riley, I like their story,
- 12:31Speaker 2: and I like, I like the whole thing with them.
- 12:35Speaker 2: You know. You mentioned Danny, which I loved, and his
- 12:37Speaker 2: his dedication to his coach, and I'm just gonna go
- 12:40Speaker 2: through my notes. Douy Howard, so Dwightharten powered Danielle. So
- 12:43Speaker 2: those are two that you know, they've been They've been
- 12:45Speaker 2: kind of on a roller coaster lately.
- 12:47Speaker 1: They really did really bad. This one was sort of
- 12:50Speaker 1: like right in the middle. Yeah, I know. And he's funny. Man,
- 12:53Speaker 1: what a great personality he has.
- 12:55Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, And I thought that was interesting. I
- 12:58Speaker 2: love their hype difference and how they play it up.
- 13:01Speaker 4: I don't know how she does it. That's why I
- 13:03Speaker 4: say like, Danny's probably one of the most talented female
- 13:06Speaker 4: pros because she gets like these unrealistic barriers and she
- 13:10Speaker 4: overcomes every single time.
- 13:12Speaker 3: It's crazy every time.
- 13:13Speaker 2: But they had one of the lowest scores, you know,
- 13:15Speaker 2: from last night, which I thought was kind of I
- 13:18Speaker 2: get it, I mean, because I feel like that hype
- 13:21Speaker 2: differences is pretty substantial, you know, And and so that
- 13:24Speaker 2: kind of creates a little bit of an issue. But
- 13:27Speaker 2: another couple, Brooks and Club like those two clearly dating.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say it.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It's clear. It's clear as there.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Even the sisters are like, you know, it's also they're
- 13:37Speaker 2: hanging out with their brother in law.
- 13:42Speaker 1: But they are a beautiful couple.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I mean, they really are. And then, you know, last,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but not least, let's talk about Alana. Alana and Allen.
- 13:50Speaker 2: You know, she didn't she didn't have like her her
- 13:53Speaker 2: worst night. She had a really good night. And I think,
- 13:56Speaker 2: you know, after coming off of the emotion of the
- 13:59Speaker 2: week previous, Yeah, you know, I kind of thought, quite honestly,
- 14:02Speaker 2: I thought this week. Originally I had pegged her to
- 14:05Speaker 2: go home the following week and and but then after
- 14:09Speaker 2: she was so emotional and stuff, and I thought, you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: the people at home would get to see her and
- 14:13Speaker 2: get to see that. I thought that that might keep
- 14:15Speaker 2: her around a little bit longer. But you know, unfortunately,
- 14:18Speaker 2: you know that wasn't the case, right. Were you surprised
- 14:20Speaker 2: by the elimination.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Well it was it was Brooks and Gleb that got eliminated.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I yes, and no, And I think because.
- 14:33Speaker 4: A lot of people were probably like it was just
- 14:35Speaker 4: so in our face, and I think out of everybody
- 14:37Speaker 4: that yeah, like I think like people like you said,
- 14:41Speaker 4: they really want to connect with like emotion, and that's
- 14:44Speaker 4: something that I learned even on my season, Like they
- 14:47Speaker 4: don't care how well the dancer you are. They want
- 14:49Speaker 4: to see like you being vulnerable. They want to see
- 14:51Speaker 4: you improve. And she's a beautiful dancer. Don't get me wrong, but.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I think it is.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Yeah, initially it started off that way and then it
- 14:58Speaker 4: like kind of just shift pages completely, just like this
- 15:00Speaker 4: show Man's and I was like, I don't know anything
- 15:02Speaker 4: about her besides just her and glob So yeah, I
- 15:06Speaker 4: kind of wanted to see maybe like more improvement and
- 15:09Speaker 4: see her like stay around longer. But I guess I'm
- 15:12Speaker 4: like kind of torn because it's at that point in
- 15:13Speaker 4: the competition where there's the less and less couples, Like
- 15:16Speaker 4: You're always probably be genuinely shocked, like with who goes home?
- 15:20Speaker 1: I agree.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I mean I thought I really did think it would
- 15:23Speaker 2: come down between Alana and Dwight Howard as the going
- 15:28Speaker 2: home couple. That's how I had it playing out in
- 15:30Speaker 2: my head. So the Brooks wasn't surprised me. But but
- 15:33Speaker 2: at the same time, it wasn't because like you said,
- 15:35Speaker 2: I mean, you know what I was saying about the
- 15:36Speaker 2: week before when she showed so much emotion.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I think that's really what kept Alana there.
- 15:40Speaker 2: And then but I did I thought, you know, other
- 15:44Speaker 2: than the fact that they're incredibly cute together and.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Everything, I kind of thought, you know, Dwight Howard.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Was probably you know, at that point where it was like,
- 15:51Speaker 2: you know, So now I feel like, right now, if
- 15:54Speaker 2: I had to pick and I and I love doing
- 15:56Speaker 2: this because I've been right most times.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I was not right this time.
- 16:00Speaker 2: But now I feel like it's coming down to the
- 16:04Speaker 2: better dancers. Legit, better dancers are going to stick around
- 16:08Speaker 2: longer as opposed to, like you said, like the like
- 16:10Speaker 2: you know, the couple of thing was probably just a
- 16:12Speaker 2: little played out, you know.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So we've got one person we didn't talk about too, Washedra, right,
- 16:16Speaker 1: we didn't talk about Padra. I love her too. You
- 16:19Speaker 1: talk about personality really coming through.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I think a lot of times I think the Real Housewives,
- 16:24Speaker 2: unfortunately for them, when they are on this show, they're
- 16:28Speaker 2: missed there.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Uh. I don't even know how to say it, but
- 16:31Speaker 1: I think the perception of them is wrong.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, And and she's come out as so much fun
- 16:36Speaker 2: and like, you know, its just.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I love it.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Like, I didn't even know who she was, and I'm like,
- 16:41Speaker 1: oh my god, I love her, you know.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Yeah, when you're looking at the score.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So last everyone was, you know, mid thirties, a lot
- 16:58Speaker 2: of like Jen and all, we're both thirty two's, you know,
- 17:02Speaker 2: Joey and jenn at are thirty six. Brooks was at
- 17:06Speaker 2: a thirty two, you know, sent home Phaedra and Valve
- 17:09Speaker 2: thirty two.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Dwight, Howard and Danielle I.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Had the lowest score of twenty nine, and then the
- 17:16Speaker 2: rest were you know, thirty six, thirty three.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I mean, everybody else was kind of right up in
- 17:19Speaker 1: that same ballpark.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So if you go my scores alone, looking at next
- 17:24Speaker 2: week's competition, right, you've got a twenty Well, we have
- 17:28Speaker 2: a twenty nine with Dwight, and we have a thirty
- 17:30Speaker 2: two with Phaedra and a thirty two I think with Alana.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, so those are our three.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Oh and Jen, I'm sorry, and so those are our
- 17:39Speaker 2: four that had technically, I guess the lowest score. So
- 17:43Speaker 2: what's your prediction, Like, who do you think? Okay, let's
- 17:45Speaker 2: get two predictions from you. First. First, let's see if
- 17:47Speaker 2: you had to give me two couples that it comes
- 17:49Speaker 2: down to to be possibly sent home next week.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You don't have to pick one if you don't want him.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Okay, And then I want your pick for the two
- 17:55Speaker 2: couples that you think will be the final two.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Okay, I can. I can easily do the couples that
- 18:03Speaker 3: I might feel like are going to be.
- 18:04Speaker 4: In the bottom two next week, which obviously it can
- 18:09Speaker 4: change based off the theme in the style of dance,
- 18:12Speaker 4: but looking at just obviously last night, I would have
- 18:15Speaker 4: to say Dwight and then unfortunately maybe Phaedra, Like I
- 18:20Speaker 4: hate that because I'm like I want her to like
- 18:22Speaker 4: stay in.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I do too.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you're gonna need like a breakout dance, like I
- 18:26Speaker 4: haven't seen that from them too yet. Dwight's like first
- 18:29Speaker 4: like performance was insane, so yeah, I was like, I
- 18:33Speaker 4: think we want to go back to that. And then
- 18:34Speaker 4: like with Phaedra, I feel like, obviously, like what you
- 18:38Speaker 4: said is like, she's so fun and she's so captivating.
- 18:40Speaker 4: We know her, excuse me, on so many reality TV
- 18:43Speaker 4: shows and she has such a big personality, So I'm like,
- 18:45Speaker 4: I want her to have a solid dance to where
- 18:47Speaker 4: we can see that and where she has fun because
- 18:49Speaker 4: I think right now. It's like even for me, this
- 18:51Speaker 4: is something I struggle with. Is like she like kind
- 18:53Speaker 4: of plays it a little safe, and it's like that's
- 18:55Speaker 4: because it's.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Like it's this is something new to everyone.
- 18:57Speaker 4: It's so hard, but like it's at that point where
- 19:00Speaker 4: it's like you got to you gotta do something.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly, you got to pull all the stops
- 19:05Speaker 1: at this point. A Yeah, I think I think you're right.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I think it probably would be between Dwight, Phaedra, and Alana.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And but I think that because Alana was so vulnerable,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think America might be you know, and and and
- 19:21Speaker 2: maybe that's that, maybe that's what happens this week, Like
- 19:23Speaker 2: maybe all of a sudden we see a vulnerability to
- 19:25Speaker 2: Phaedra that, you know, because I think people really like her,
- 19:28Speaker 2: and I know I do, I'm a fan, and I didn't,
- 19:30Speaker 2: like I said, I didn't even know really I knew
- 19:32Speaker 2: the name, but I didn't necessarily know who she was
- 19:34Speaker 2: and what she had done. But if I saw another
- 19:36Speaker 2: side to her, I might be like, oh my gosh,
- 19:38Speaker 2: you know, like she really wants to be here, this
- 19:39Speaker 2: means something to her, you know. And then Dwight, I mean,
- 19:43Speaker 2: you know, his family package is so fantastic. How he
- 19:46Speaker 2: why he's on the show in the first place, and
- 19:47Speaker 2: everything else, and and he's so damn likable. I mean,
- 19:51Speaker 2: I love him. So it would suck at this point
- 19:54Speaker 2: for me for any of them to go home. But
- 19:56Speaker 2: I can't see one of the other dancers going home now.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Oh no, And I need to do like my final two,
- 20:01Speaker 4: which is so hard, So I'm like, I could probably
- 20:02Speaker 4: give you Final four it.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I want to make it a little harder.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I'm going to do a girl and a boy, and
- 20:09Speaker 3: so obviously it's Chandler and Joey, Like, yeah, that's just
- 20:12Speaker 3: like too easy.
- 20:14Speaker 1: No, I agree.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I mean I don't know how Chandler's not in the finals.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I don't know how Joey's not in the finals. I
- 20:19Speaker 2: think that top third spot is still up for grabs.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I hope it's Jen, Like how how iconic would that be?
- 20:24Speaker 2: You know, Oh my god, it'd be amazing. But you know,
- 20:29Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know, I don't know how that works.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Like at a certain point, I wonder sometimes if the
- 20:35Speaker 2: Bachelor Nation fans can cancel each other out, you know
- 20:37Speaker 2: what I mean, Like that's the thing if we only
- 20:40Speaker 2: vote five for Joey and five for Jen or whatever,
- 20:42Speaker 2: and then you know somebody else is getting all ten. Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 2: so it'd be interesting to see how that plays out too.
- 20:48Speaker 2: But Okay, I like your picks. I think I think
- 20:50Speaker 2: we're I think we're spot on with each.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Other right now.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I just have a Lana in there potentially for a
- 20:55Speaker 2: for a bottom you know, next week.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Which is wow.
- 21:00Speaker 4: That's what I feel like, is like sustaining her like
- 21:03Speaker 4: she's obviously like so like brave, and she's doing something
- 21:06Speaker 4: out of her comfort zone too and like vulnerability, but
- 21:10Speaker 4: also like she's like almost a miracause like sweetheart at this.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Point, like it's totally behind her.
- 21:14Speaker 4: So I think they want that, and they like want
- 21:18Speaker 4: to keep her in the competition in hopes to like
- 21:20Speaker 4: continue seeing that. So I really do think that she
- 21:23Speaker 4: might feel around longer than we like my all thing.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I hope.
- 21:26Speaker 2: So, I mean, I like it when it's someone that
- 21:28Speaker 2: I that I like that my heart goes into you know,
- 21:30Speaker 2: and so and for me, I mean, now I was
- 21:33Speaker 2: going to ask you this too. I've asked trist of
- 21:35Speaker 2: this before too, because she was on the show obviously,
- 21:36Speaker 2: And can you imagine how hard of a job job
- 21:40Speaker 2: it is to be the judge, because like you're sitting there,
- 21:43Speaker 2: someone that you've committed your entire life to is dance right,
- 21:46Speaker 2: and now you have someone like me, let's say, all
- 21:49Speaker 2: of a sudden coming in there and not you know,
- 21:51Speaker 2: adhering to any of the rules even though I'm trying
- 21:53Speaker 2: and I'm just murdering it. And you have to be like, hey,
- 21:56Speaker 2: your shoes look great, like they always find something nice
- 21:58Speaker 2: to say. Yea, And was it I mean, did you
- 22:02Speaker 2: with your experience as a cheerleader stuff like that.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I'm sure it was.
- 22:05Speaker 2: You know, you recognize good choreography, you recognize I'm sure
- 22:07Speaker 2: not so great choreography, but it was it a difference
- 22:10Speaker 2: for you. Like now when you look back and watch it,
- 22:12Speaker 2: you're like, oh my god, those judges, you know, like
- 22:13Speaker 2: they got such hard job.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yes, and like and that's why I appreciate, Like I'm
- 22:18Speaker 4: referencing back to last night, That's why I appreciate Mark
- 22:21Speaker 4: so much. I think he, like, hands down, gave the
- 22:25Speaker 4: best like feedback from anyone and like, yeah, like you know,
- 22:29Speaker 4: Carrie in Bruno, Derek, they're all fantastic, but like Mark,
- 22:33Speaker 4: the way he was able to provide like constructive criticism,
- 22:37Speaker 4: but what it didn't come across as like, oh, you're
- 22:39Speaker 4: doing something wrong. It's like, hey, this is you know,
- 22:41Speaker 4: I see like the potential in you, and that is
- 22:44Speaker 4: so encouraging coming into like a space where you, as
- 22:48Speaker 4: a non dancer, know nothing about and you're like trying
- 22:50Speaker 4: your best. And I know everyone who goes out there
- 22:53Speaker 4: is doing their best, but it sometimes doesn't always maybe
- 22:55Speaker 4: look that way, like the way he was able to
- 22:58Speaker 4: just like still uplift people, but all so give them
- 23:00Speaker 4: things that they actually need to fix. I was like,
- 23:03Speaker 4: why didn't you weren't you on my season?
- 23:08Speaker 2: I know he's always been so good at that too.
- 23:10Speaker 2: He's always been one of the favorite pros.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you go to gracious but also like yeah, like
- 23:17Speaker 4: uplifting at the same time, but say, hey, this is
- 23:19Speaker 4: what I want to see from you, and I need
- 23:21Speaker 4: to see more. I need to like, you know, giving
- 23:25Speaker 4: criticism in the best ways.
- 23:26Speaker 3: It's hard.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Oh totally. I think you're absolutely right.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought he was a great addition to the night,
- 23:31Speaker 2: and I thought that the show was a great show.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I mean, you know, it's kind of interesting because it
- 23:35Speaker 2: went it went to the streaming platform for a while
- 23:37Speaker 2: there and then came back to the television platform, and
- 23:39Speaker 2: it's like, I think it came back stronger, you know,
- 23:42Speaker 2: since it's been back on the TV side of things,
- 23:44Speaker 2: that maybe maybe I'm not saying that it was something.
- 23:47Speaker 1: That needed to go away for a minute and then
- 23:49Speaker 1: you know, to come back someway stronger.
- 23:50Speaker 2: But it's interesting watching it now that it's back on
- 23:53Speaker 2: the television format and I'm like really enjoying it, you know,
- 23:56Speaker 2: like I've said it there at night, it's like destination
- 23:57Speaker 2: viewing for me right now.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I know you play that or night.
- 24:01Speaker 4: That was like I never thought I'd be like so dedicated,
- 24:03Speaker 4: but obviously being on the show, I'm like I have
- 24:05Speaker 4: no choices. I got to see what's going on. Yeah yeah,
- 24:08Speaker 4: every single Tuesday.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Well plus you got I mean, you know a lot
- 24:12Speaker 2: of the casts, the pros, and the judges have all
- 24:14Speaker 2: become your friends, so it's got to be really cool
- 24:17Speaker 2: for you to see them. And of course Joey is
- 24:18Speaker 2: you know, a good friend of yours and doctors too,
- 24:20Speaker 2: so that's gotta be great to see him doing so well.
- 24:22Speaker 1: So well.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Charity, Thanks for joining us, and
- 24:25Speaker 2: thanks for your predictions for next week.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I'm excited glad to have you back to find out
- 24:31Speaker 5: if you're right.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yes, finale or something.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Have you been to Have you been to a taping
- 24:37Speaker 1: this season yet? I'm not.
- 24:39Speaker 4: My goal is to go hopefully November, because I know
- 24:42Speaker 4: they think their season ends.
- 24:44Speaker 3: There is a lot shorter.
- 24:45Speaker 4: There's ends before Thanksgiving, so I'm going to try to
- 24:47Speaker 4: be there before before then.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Well, we'll have to have you back on the next day.
- 24:52Speaker 2: You know, it gets your actual leg court side opinion
- 24:57Speaker 2: of how it went.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I love it. Well they thank you so much for
- 25:00Speaker 1: joining us, Charity, I appreciate it.
