- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Danish with Fexingo — I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Episode 25 — can you believe it? Lucas: I know, right? And last time we talked about transport — bus, tog, cykel. Luna: Yeah, that was fun. But today I want to talk about feelings. How to say how you feel. Lucas: Perfect. Emotions are so useful. Let's start with a simple one — 'glad'. Luna: Glad. Does that mean… happy? Lucas: Exactly. Glad means happy. Listen: glad. Luna: Glad. Lucas: Yes! You sound very glad! Let's use it in a sentence: 'Jeg er glad.' I am happy. Luna: Jeg er glad. Lucas: Perfect. Now, the opposite of glad is 'trist' — sad. Luna: Trist. That sounds a bit like 'triste' in other languages. Lucas: Exactly. Trist. Say it with me: trist. Luna: Trist. Lucas: Good. 'Jeg er trist.' I am sad. Luna: Jeg er trist. Lucas: And another common one: 'sur' — angry. Luna: Sur? Like sour? Lucas: Exactly the same word! Sur can mean sour, but also angry. So 'Jeg er sur.' I am angry. Luna: Jeg er sur. Lucas: Great. Now let's practice asking how someone feels. You already know 'Hvordan har du det?' from earlier episodes. Luna: Oh yeah! Hvordan har du det? — How are you? Lucas: Right. And you can answer with 'Jeg er glad', 'Jeg er trist', or 'Jeg er sur'. Luna: So if someone asks, I can say 'Jeg er glad'. Lucas: Exactly. Let's do a little dialogue. I'll ask you: Hvordan har du det? Luna: Jeg er glad! Lucas: Lovely! Now you ask me. Luna: Hvordan har du det, Lucas? Lucas: Jeg er glad også. I'm happy too. But let's switch it up. Imagine you're having a bad day. Luna: Okay, so I would say 'Jeg er trist'. Lucas: Yes. Or if you're really annoyed, 'Jeg er sur'. Luna: Jeg er sur. I think I can use that when my coffee is cold. Lucas: Totally. Let's hear all three again — glad, trist, sur. Luna: Glad, trist, sur. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's put them in a quick scene. Say you meet a friend. You ask: Hvordan har du det? They say: Jeg er glad. And you say: Godt! That means good. Luna: So: Hvordan har du det? — Jeg er glad. — Godt! Lucas: Exactly. And if they say 'Jeg er trist', you could say 'Åh, det er ærgerligt' — oh, that's a shame. Luna: Åh, det er ærgerligt. Lucas: Nice. Okay, let's do a quick review. What does 'glad' mean? Luna: Happy. Lucas: And 'trist'? Luna: Sad. Lucas: And 'sur'? Luna: Angry. Lucas: Fantastic. And how do you say 'I am happy'? Luna: Jeg er glad. Lucas: Perfect. And 'How are you?' — the question we know. Luna: Hvordan har du det? Lucas: You've got it. Let's do one more round. Repeat after me: glad. Luna: Glad. Lucas: Trist. Luna: Trist. Lucas: Sur. Luna: Sur. Lucas: And the sentence: Jeg er glad. Luna: Jeg er glad. Lucas: Jeg er trist. Luna: Jeg er trist. Lucas: Jeg er sur. Luna: Jeg er sur. Lucas: You sound great, Luna. Now, remember to practice these at home. Try using them when you wake up or during the day. Luna: I will! I think I'll be 'glad' most of the time. Lucas: That's the spirit. And if you're ever 'sur', just say it in Danish — it might make you smile. Luna: Yeah. So, that's it for today? Lucas: That's it. Thanks for joining us on Learn Danish with Fexingo. Keep practicing, and we'll see you next time. Luna: Hej hej!
