- 0:00Speaker 1: Any little secrets mixed one or two point nine. If
- 0:05Speaker 1: you've got a secret, confess anytime you want. It's Bailey
- 0:08Speaker 1: the kid Candy slow pass. I almost said professor Pooh.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Some people do call him professor. Some people do call
- 0:14Speaker 1: him professor Pooh. Obviously we know why because yeah, because
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm smart, yeah, intelligent, very intelligent Pooh is. Yeah, ye
- 0:21Speaker 1: know he is, he really is. But I don't know why.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Some people call you professor, but it's got me calling
- 0:26Speaker 1: you professor Pooh. I think you're more of a professor
- 0:28Speaker 1: than a producer. Okay, all right, if you have a
- 0:33Speaker 1: secret eight three three seven eight seven one two nine
- 0:36Speaker 1: shot at this Disney World trip coming up next to
- 0:38Speaker 1: But it's time to confess. Go ahead, what's up?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Okay? Okay, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I swear
- 0:45Speaker 2: it's real. Bo So, my daughter thinks she was born
- 0:48Speaker 2: on the thirtieth of October, but she was actually born
- 0:52Speaker 2: on the thirty first.
- 0:53Speaker 1: What she was born on Halloween? Yeah? Why does she
- 0:57Speaker 1: think she was born on the thirtieth?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Okay, so I want to emphasize that it's this is
- 1:03Speaker 2: my ex husband because true that guy. Okay, Okay, here
- 1:08Speaker 2: here was. I guess it is. I don't know. I
- 1:11Speaker 2: turned out to talk to him like super religious, like
- 1:16Speaker 2: like scary religious, you know what I mean, like like
- 1:19Speaker 2: conspiracy kind of religious. All right, And he was totally
- 1:24Speaker 2: throughout the pregnancy. You know, we knew that she'd be
- 1:26Speaker 2: due like in the fall. But then when I went
- 1:29Speaker 2: into labor on the thirtieth into the thirty first, he
- 1:34Speaker 2: like freaked.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Out because why freaked out? He didn't want to.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. So he was saying that, like Halloween is
- 1:45Speaker 2: satanic and evil, and there was and this is a
- 1:48Speaker 2: real quote no way his daughter would celebrate a devil's holiday.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Oh wow, So you okay, let me get this right.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So you have how old is your daughter?
- 1:59Speaker 2: By the way, So now like this year, she's ten,
- 2:02Speaker 2: she'll be eleven October.
- 2:04Speaker 1: So wow, okay, so she's ten years old and she
- 2:07Speaker 1: thinks her birthday is the thirtieth, although it's on Halloween.
- 2:10Speaker 1: But you're lying to everyone about her birthday and her
- 2:14Speaker 1: because it was on the quote unquote devil's holiday.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah wow, Oh I know.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Was he that he was that intense? Yes?
- 2:25Speaker 2: I mean there's literally a reason we're divorced now. And
- 2:27Speaker 2: I turn out to talk to him.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That is crazy. So, I mean, I know some people
- 2:32Speaker 1: feel this way at some point that you're like, I mean,
- 2:35Speaker 1: so you just kind of went along with this because
- 2:37Speaker 1: it was like, I guess what else am I going
- 2:38Speaker 1: to do? I feel like he probably did other weird things.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm sure he didn't like Halloween.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, And I mean, like it never really like came
- 2:46Speaker 2: up and like I had literally just given birth, you
- 2:48Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like I had an epidural, like
- 2:51Speaker 2: there's no way I'm in it for this conversation. Yeah,
- 2:53Speaker 2: So I definitely just kind of like went along with it,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and I didn't think too much of it at that time.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And then you know, her first birthday came around and
- 3:02Speaker 2: he was like, all right, we're celebrating on the thirtieth.
- 3:04Speaker 2: That's what I told people. And I was like, oh,
- 3:06Speaker 2: so you like told people that it was that she
- 3:09Speaker 2: was born on the thirtieth, you know what I mean.
- 3:11Speaker 2: So I like felt really pushed into it. And now
- 3:13Speaker 2: she's you know, she's ten, and she really believes that
- 3:16Speaker 2: she'll tell people that, you know, my birthdays on you know,
- 3:19Speaker 2: on whatever, the thirtieth. She doesn't know, like she doesn't
- 3:21Speaker 2: think of days you know what I mean, But she'll
- 3:22Speaker 2: think internal unless.
- 3:24Speaker 1: She sees her birthday, like I wouldn't know somebody whatever
- 3:27Speaker 1: my birthdays. You told me I was a kid. Okay,
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's my.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Birthday question that eventually I'm going to have to tell her,
- 3:34Speaker 2: you know, if she decided to like get a job
- 3:36Speaker 2: in high school or like goes to college.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Was he was he weird? I know when people I
- 3:41Speaker 1: don't want to call it weird because I respect people's
- 3:43Speaker 1: religious beliefs. Yeah, but at the same time, this might
- 3:46Speaker 1: be a little extreme to some. Did he do other
- 3:48Speaker 1: things that were outlandish? Because this, to me is a
- 3:51Speaker 1: lot changing a whole day of birth because you could
- 3:53Speaker 1: believe that the holiday might be not the best holiday,
- 3:55Speaker 1: but you don't have to celebrate it, right, so no
- 3:58Speaker 1: one's forcing you to celebrate. No one forcing is celebrated.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So it's a beautiful day. If your daughter was born
- 4:03Speaker 1: on it, it's a beautiful day no matter what. It's
- 4:05Speaker 1: not the Devil's holiday. But did he do other things
- 4:07Speaker 1: that were like this, like this extreme?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so I wasn't allowed to like wear a bikini
- 4:13Speaker 2: when we were dating and when I got married or
- 4:17Speaker 2: other stuff like he didn't he felt like women wearing
- 4:20Speaker 2: a lot of makeup was like a form of lying
- 4:22Speaker 2: and being like dishonest with God and stuff. So I
- 4:26Speaker 2: didn't wear a lot of makeup either when I was
- 4:29Speaker 2: with him.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You know, stuff like that, right, I mean, so pretty
- 4:33Speaker 1: controlling obviously and not something you believe in. So you two,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you're not together, obviously. Does she see her? Does she
- 4:40Speaker 1: see him?
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very rare that she sees him. That's mostly
- 4:45Speaker 2: because he moved out of state for for work, which
- 4:49Speaker 2: is honestly better for everybody involved. Because he was he
- 4:53Speaker 2: was still controlling as much as he could be, even
- 4:56Speaker 2: even when you're divorced.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Right, when do you break this news down and tell her?
- 5:00Speaker 1: When she's sixteen? When she asked when she finds out,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I don't know the right answer. I'd be happy about it.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I know a lot of people who would love their
- 5:08Speaker 2: birthday to be on Halloween.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she's missing out on all that candy. But
- 5:14Speaker 1: you know, I mean you party on your birthday every year. Yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 1: it doesn't matter when your birthday is. Really it's one day.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Is that big of a difference. She has to be
- 5:22Speaker 1: old enough for the reason behind it, to understand the
- 5:25Speaker 1: reason behind it. Yeah, And that's that's why I would wait.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Is I want her to be old enough to understand
- 5:30Speaker 1: that her dad might have had religious beliefs that you know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: were not you, weren't aligned with you. So to tell
- 5:36Speaker 1: her all that stuff at ten, I don't know if
- 5:38Speaker 1: she'll really get it.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You gotta tell her before her like sixteenth.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, but I don't think it's going to be.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Kids are so resilient. Yeah, they're like, oh, okay, cool, whatever,
- 5:46Speaker 1: you'll you'll have to let us know, you'll have to
- 5:48Speaker 1: let us know what you do. And yeah, you're right,
- 5:51Speaker 1: we've never had a secret like this is a totally
- 5:53Speaker 1: different secret than we've ever had. But thank you so much,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and I appreciate you telling us.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I think letting me have a place to share
- 6:01Speaker 2: it absolutely
