- 0:02Speaker 1: Podcast. Check it out The Joe Logan Experience Train, My Day,
- 0:06Speaker 1: Joe Rogan podcast, by Night, All Day, What's Happening, Chaos?
- 0:15Speaker 1: I love it everything.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yeah, the world's crazy, the center of the storm.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I think. I think the world's back at war today again,
- 0:22Speaker 1: like officially right. I don't think that agreement with Iran
- 0:28Speaker 1: lasted at all, which one. I think there's there was
- 0:32Speaker 1: bombings today in Lebanon, and I think there's bombings today
- 0:37Speaker 1: in American bases. I tried to not pay attention, dude,
- 0:43Speaker 1: I really do. I try to distract myself with science
- 0:47Speaker 1: stuff and space. I was watching this documentary yesterday on
- 0:51Speaker 1: how they make chips, like how they make like semiconductor chips. Dude,
- 0:58Speaker 1: this fucking machine that they use, So I'm gonna send
- 1:00Speaker 1: you this, Jamie, because it's bananas. It's like one of
- 1:02Speaker 1: the most complex machines in the world. And this this
- 1:07Speaker 1: machine they used to make semiconductors, make chips, and they
- 1:11Speaker 1: were explaining the process of making these chips. How fucking
- 1:15Speaker 1: nuts it is, man, the amount of atoms that are
- 1:19Speaker 1: stacked on and like the way they do it to
- 1:21Speaker 1: make these like super complex high end chips. There's people
- 1:26Speaker 1: out there, tony, that are doing things way different than us. Okay,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we're out there talking about sucking dicks and people shitting themselves,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and what's going on in other parts of the world
- 1:42Speaker 1: is people are doing science fiction like they're actually doing
- 1:46Speaker 1: science fiction here it is. Give me a second. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: like the same things here. It is the world's most
- 1:54Speaker 1: important machine. Yes, did you find it? Yeah? Yeah, But
- 2:02Speaker 1: just go to the there's some animation where they show
- 2:05Speaker 1: how they make these things, like it was right where
- 2:09Speaker 1: you were at beginning. Okay, oh, okay, so they're just
- 2:13Speaker 1: showing some of the different aspects of how these things
- 2:18Speaker 1: are made. Go back to where that guy had the
- 2:19Speaker 1: laser beam. That's perfect. Actually where that guy had the
- 2:22Speaker 1: laser beam. So this is him explaining this. So leave this.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Back it up a little bit and give me some volume.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Get back it up a little bit, please.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I want to.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Introduce it to you with a fought experiment. Imagine you
- 2:37Speaker 3: are shrunk down to the size of an end and
- 2:40Speaker 3: you're given a laser that's strong enough to melt through
- 2:43Speaker 3: metal like butter. Next, a tiny droplet of molten tin,
- 2:47Speaker 3: roughly the size of a white blood cell, is shut
- 2:49Speaker 3: out in front of you around two hundred and fifty
- 2:52Speaker 3: kilometers per hour, and your task is to hit this
- 2:54Speaker 3: nut once, not twice, but three times in a row
- 2:58Speaker 3: in twenty microseconds.
- 2:59Speaker 1: With your or laser.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Well, that is exactly what this machine does. It hits
- 3:04Speaker 3: one tiny tin droplet three times in a row, eating
- 3:07Speaker 3: each one up to over two hundred and twenty thousand kelvin.
- 3:10Speaker 3: That's roughly forty times hotter than the surface of the Sun.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And it doesn't just.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Hit one droplet, It hits fifty thousand droplets every single second.
- 3:20Speaker 3: How often do you miss a laser shot?
- 3:22Speaker 1: We don't wish them.
- 3:24Speaker 3: What you do one hundred and fifty thousand laser shots
- 3:27Speaker 3: a second, then you don't miss one exactly. The same
- 3:31Speaker 3: machine also contains mirrors that might just be the smoothest
- 3:35Speaker 3: objects in the universe. If you scale one up to
- 3:38Speaker 3: the size of the Earth, then the largest bump would
- 3:40Speaker 3: be no bigger than a playing cards What top of that,
- 3:43Speaker 3: it is able to overlay one layer of a chip
- 3:45Speaker 3: perfectly on top of another and never be off by
- 3:48Speaker 3: more than five atoms. And this is all happening while
- 3:51Speaker 3: parts of the machine whip around at accelerations of over
- 3:54Speaker 3: twenty gees. For thirty years, almost everyone thought that actually
- 3:59Speaker 3: building this machine was impossible, and yet it exists. There
- 4:03Speaker 3: is only one company in the world that can make it.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So why is this company and what is this impossible
- 4:10Speaker 3: machine they've built?
- 4:11Speaker 1: This video is that's a wow?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah, what are they doing with that?
- 4:17Speaker 1: All computers like computer chips that are getting better and
- 4:21Speaker 1: better and better, all these AI chips, this is how
- 4:23Speaker 1: they make The one interesting thing I can just add.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I know when they make those, they make a big
- 4:27Speaker 4: sheet of chips, you know, hm, Like they'll be like
- 4:30Speaker 4: thirty or.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Fifty on them.
- 4:32Speaker 4: They'll test each one and the ones that are the best,
- 4:35Speaker 4: but test that like one out of one hundred. Ones
- 4:38Speaker 4: that are like closest to one hundred become like the
- 4:39Speaker 4: I nine chip. And if it's like eighty five out
- 4:43Speaker 4: of one hundred, it becomes like the nine seven chip. Oh,
- 4:45Speaker 4: they all come off the same sheet. It's like the
- 4:47Speaker 4: best ones become the best chips. They sell them for
- 4:49Speaker 4: the most money next time, just a little degraded.
- 4:52Speaker 1: No kidding. Interesting. So we're there was that issue with
- 4:56Speaker 1: that Samsung chip factory, and it was about they weren't
- 5:00Speaker 1: getting the results that they wanted. So it's probably they
- 5:03Speaker 1: were getting more of the shitty chips, were not enough
- 5:05Speaker 1: of the perfect chips. Want really high end chips. And
- 5:08Speaker 1: we have a fan in her. Yeah, I mean, imagine
- 5:16Speaker 1: if everybody died and it was just us in this
- 5:20Speaker 1: room and there was like three late, well, it'd be
- 5:23Speaker 1: more than that. We'd have to have more people. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: thought I was were going to fuck up the gene pool.
- 5:26Speaker 1: We're all gonna look like the English Royals. We need
- 5:29Speaker 1: We probably need a few thousand people, a few thousand
- 5:31Speaker 1: people like regular people like you and I that don't
- 5:34Speaker 1: know shit about how these things work. How much time
- 5:37Speaker 1: would we need if we repopulated the earth with what
- 5:40Speaker 1: we know? Basically, you're starting out like a fucking like
- 5:44Speaker 1: a half ass prepper, you know, like someone was on
- 5:47Speaker 1: an episode of Lost, you know, like one of those
- 5:49Speaker 1: plane crash people trying to figure out how to survive
- 5:52Speaker 1: out there. You're fucked. You're not inventing that.
- 5:55Speaker 2: How long is it gonna take infinity?
- 5:58Speaker 1: And how many people have to pave the way? This
- 6:01Speaker 1: is the thing for every one of these people that
- 6:03Speaker 1: makes an invention like this, you're making this on the
- 6:07Speaker 1: back of thousands and thousands and thousands of fucking super
- 6:11Speaker 1: geniuses that have figured out each and every step of
- 6:13Speaker 1: the way that can lead you to thinking, is this
- 6:16Speaker 1: possible that we could do this next? You know, they
- 6:18Speaker 1: all build on each other, so you need all these
- 6:21Speaker 1: guys and hopefully they don't get any pussy, because otherwise
- 6:26Speaker 1: they're gonna get distracted. You know. I bet if one
- 6:29Speaker 1: of them gets a hot wife, like one of their
- 6:31Speaker 1: patents kicks and they start making bank and then all
- 6:34Speaker 1: of a sudden he shows up for working a ferrari
- 6:37Speaker 1: and next you know, he's got a hot wife. Every
- 6:38Speaker 1: he's like, oh my god.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, civilization just went back the entered two hundred years.
- 6:44Speaker 1: We're gonna lose Tim. Yeah, Tim's taking a hat or
- 6:49Speaker 1: all coating eighteen hours a day trying to figure out
- 6:52Speaker 1: how to get us to Mars. Actually, that's a bad
- 6:55Speaker 1: point because Elon clearly gets pussy and doesn't seem to
- 6:58Speaker 1: be affecting him at all.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I think different.
- 7:01Speaker 1: He's definitely different.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean some people are different, different, different.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It's fascinating how many people want to find flaws in
- 7:09Speaker 1: what he's doing instead of just looking at this like, wow,
- 7:12Speaker 1: this is an extraordinary time to be alive, but it's
- 7:15Speaker 1: because of this narrative that people have. One of them,
- 7:18Speaker 1: the big one is this USAID is killing people narrative
- 7:21Speaker 1: that people have died because of the USAID. And then
- 7:23Speaker 1: a bunch of people have given examples of how them
- 7:27Speaker 1: cutting the funding has led to the end of certain
- 7:30Speaker 1: people's lives, like when they were in hospitals that didn't
- 7:32Speaker 1: have any funding. And there's a lot of that that
- 7:36Speaker 1: you could point to say, right, if they had the money,
- 7:39Speaker 1: they would have had the funding and they would have
- 7:40Speaker 1: had that equipment in place, or maybe they wouldn't have.
- 7:42Speaker 1: But here's the other thing that's not discounting the fact
- 7:46Speaker 1: that a lot of that money is fraud. Yeah, a
- 7:49Speaker 1: lot of it, Like it's not a little amount, and
- 7:52Speaker 1: the idea that you should let it go on because
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's going to save lives and there's a bunch of
- 7:58Speaker 1: people that are stealing money. I see that argument, But
- 8:03Speaker 1: why are we sending them money in the first place? Like,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what did we do something to them? Do we owe
- 8:08Speaker 1: them money? No? Okay, we're just being nice. Are you
- 8:10Speaker 1: sure we're just being nice? Is there anybody profiting of
- 8:13Speaker 1: us off of us being nice? Because usually just being
- 8:16Speaker 1: nice for no reason, and just giving tax money away
- 8:19Speaker 1: for no reason. I don't think they do that. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: don't think that's real. I used to think that was real.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I used to think that charity was real, and now
- 8:25Speaker 1: I look at it, I go, oh no, no, no, no, no,
- 8:27Speaker 1: no no. This is a giant scam that's wrapped up
- 8:29Speaker 1: in virtue. It's wrapped up in a nice cozy blanket
- 8:32Speaker 1: of being kind and compassionate and virtuous and doing good
- 8:36Speaker 1: things for people all around the world. I think a
- 8:38Speaker 1: lot of people get involved in those things because that's
- 8:40Speaker 1: what they think. We're gonna do good things around the world,
- 8:43Speaker 1: the good people. I really believe that, and then they
- 8:46Speaker 1: find out how it really works, and then they get
- 8:48Speaker 1: stuck in that system, and then they're making their way
- 8:50Speaker 1: up there, you know, air quotes corporate ladder, to the
- 8:53Speaker 1: point where some of them are making a million dollars
- 8:55Speaker 1: a year and you're like, what is this? Yeah, what
- 8:57Speaker 1: is this? This is a business? This isn't really chair.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Most of the money is going to your employees and
- 9:03Speaker 1: your overhead, and you're why do you have such a
- 9:05Speaker 1: big building? Like what are you doing? How come you're
- 9:08Speaker 1: not just funneling the money to these people like the
- 9:11Speaker 1: LA Fire AID. Great example, Spencer Pratt told me how
- 9:15Speaker 1: many what number did he say of nonprofits got that money.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It's over one hundred million dollars gets raised. I don't
- 9:21Speaker 1: know the exact total. All of it goes to these
- 9:25Speaker 1: different nonprofits. I think he said two hundred different nonprofits
- 9:30Speaker 1: got the money. So and then what happens to that, Well,
- 9:33Speaker 1: they just paid their employees, they pay overhead, they pay
- 9:36Speaker 1: their rent on fucking nice office on wherever they live.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Fuck man, it's so disheartening because you've so that's what
- 9:45Speaker 1: all that stuff is. And it's also if you listen
- 9:48Speaker 1: to it when Mike Ben's has been on my podcast
- 9:50Speaker 1: a few times and explains USAID. People think of it
- 9:54Speaker 1: as AID. You think of it as, oh, we're helping
- 9:57Speaker 1: the world, which is great, right, but it's not that
- 10:00Speaker 1: it's the Agency for International Development and it involves funding
- 10:04Speaker 1: rap bands overseas that are the subversive rap bands that
- 10:10Speaker 1: are supposed to excite people to take over the government.
- 10:14Speaker 1: There's like a bunch of like weird shit funds rebels,
- 10:17Speaker 1: it funds newspapers and what was he talking about, Like
- 10:21Speaker 1: there was a lot of it, like funding rap music
- 10:26Speaker 1: like this is crazy. People have long said that rap
- 10:32Speaker 1: music even though listen, you love hip hop. I know
- 10:34Speaker 1: you just got back from Kanye West. I'm a huge
- 10:37Speaker 1: hip hop fan.
- 10:37Speaker 2: We got to talk about that.
- 10:38Speaker 1: We definitely do. I love hip hop. But there's some
- 10:42Speaker 1: people that believe that gangsta rap, in particular when it
- 10:46Speaker 1: came about in the nineteen eighties, was a part of
- 10:50Speaker 1: the push to popularize it and produce it. Was a
- 10:54Speaker 1: part of the government, some faction of the government, some faction,
- 10:58Speaker 1: some intelligence agencies, want to create more crime, wanting to
- 11:02Speaker 1: fill more private prisons, wanting to erode the fabric of
- 11:07Speaker 1: society so they could push for more laws to keep
- 11:10Speaker 1: you safer. This is like the one of the most
- 11:13Speaker 1: tinfoily of tinfoil hat conspiracies. But people are pointing out
- 11:17Speaker 1: that right now it's like one of the rare times
- 11:19Speaker 1: where no rap music is on the charts, and they're saying, well,
- 11:23Speaker 1: how does this coincide with usaid? Was usaid like actively
- 11:28Speaker 1: promoting rap music? Was that one of the reasons why
- 11:31Speaker 1: rap music was so possible popular Is that real? That
- 11:35Speaker 1: can't be real.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Maybe back in the day, it seems like that would
- 11:40Speaker 2: be more manipulative. I don't see it.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I believe that until I heard mumble rap. I'm like,
- 11:44Speaker 1: this makes it. This is not real. This is trying
- 11:47Speaker 1: to make people stupid. Yeah, there's something about this, you know.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And obviously some artists are better at it than some
- 11:54Speaker 1: of them are fun the way they do it. But
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm saying there's a giant chunk of them that are inaudible.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You don't know what they're like, Who's who's into this? Oh?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Almost all of them are inaudible?
- 12:06Speaker 1: Like what what's going on there? Imagine if that was it?
- 12:09Speaker 1: It was like people heard nas and like, this guy's
- 12:12Speaker 1: too smart. We gotta dumb it down a little, right.
- 12:15Speaker 1: We got to promote some people they could barely talk. Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: we got to promote some people that are on cough syrup. Apparently,
- 12:21Speaker 1: have you ever done that coughs here? No? They seem
- 12:24Speaker 1: to love it. Yeah, a lot of dudes are into that,
- 12:27Speaker 1: that cough syrup. Man, they swear by it.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It's crazy. It's gotta be fun. It's got to be enjoyable.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Is it codeine? Is that what they're doing?
- 12:35Speaker 2: I think?
- 12:35Speaker 1: So? Have you done it? Jamie? But we talked about
- 12:39Speaker 1: this before, But I remember back in the nineties, I
- 12:44Speaker 1: got a hold of some Nike Will, the real Nike Will,
- 12:48Speaker 1: Like I guess they changed the formula for Nike Will.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And I had, you know, whatever, the flu or something,
- 12:54Speaker 1: and I took some Nike. When I was laying in bed,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I was like, this is wonderful. Yeah, it was wonderful,
- 13:00Speaker 1: like the just the warmth, the softness of the pillows
- 13:03Speaker 1: and the warmth to the bed with the covers room.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is wonderful. And I remember thinking, ooh,
- 13:09Speaker 1: this is dangerous. Yeah, like this is a dangerous feeling
- 13:14Speaker 1: because if your life was shit and you found that,
- 13:17Speaker 1: like that's better than anything else that's happening in your life.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And you can get it at CVS crazy what was
- 13:25Speaker 1: in the old nikwell before they switched it.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I avoid that stuff, like the plague. I'm afraid of medicine.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So this stuff probably was like sitting in my house
- 13:36Speaker 1: if I took it, So it might have even been
- 13:38Speaker 1: older than ninety seven or ninety eight. Whenever this was
- 13:41Speaker 1: that I was sick. But I'll never forget it because
- 13:44Speaker 1: I never get like getting scared, Like I could love this,
- 13:48Speaker 1: like I could just drink this during the day and
- 13:50Speaker 1: just like sit on my back porch if I have
- 13:52Speaker 1: the day off. Yeah, just get obliterated with nikewell and
- 13:56Speaker 1: just enjoy the universe.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I told you about that time I took a half
- 13:59Speaker 2: of the pain pild that the dentist gave me for
- 14:01Speaker 2: my wisdom tooth. I was like, oh fuck, this is
- 14:03Speaker 2: life changing.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It says. The earliest Niquil formula include ephidrine, which is
- 14:09Speaker 1: a decongestant, dox m doc silamine, sussinate which is an antihestamine, acetaminifin,
- 14:20Speaker 1: dextroth methor fan cough suppressant, and about twenty five percent alcohol.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Oh I was getting drunk too. Wow? What changed? Mid
- 14:31Speaker 1: two thousands after the combat methamphetamine? That there it is?
- 14:35Speaker 1: They removed pseudoephiederine. So was that the stuff? So it
- 14:39Speaker 1: wasn't codine? But is there an I think there is
- 14:42Speaker 1: ni quote with codin though right what I had was
- 14:46Speaker 1: pretty good. I don't think it was as simple.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you had the stuff they could make meth out
- 14:52Speaker 2: of or whatever.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, we'll put it in perplexity and Perplexity says
- 14:59Speaker 1: in the mid Yeah, Niquill brands sold in the US
- 15:02Speaker 1: do not contain codeine, and there's never been a standard
- 15:05Speaker 1: vix Nike Will with codeine and its active ingredient lineup
- 15:10Speaker 1: typical night bull form, so codine. So does any cough
- 15:14Speaker 1: syrup have codine in it? That's what linas they add it?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Or is it just prescription cough syrup? That was the
- 15:21Speaker 1: whole thing about it. Maybe I am fucking up my
- 15:25Speaker 1: memory and maybe it wasn't Nike Will, because whatever it was,
- 15:28Speaker 1: it seems like.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I got fucked up off niic wuilf. But you have
- 15:30Speaker 4: to drink like the whole bottle you get nic wulf,
- 15:32Speaker 4: just get fucked up.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I definitely didn't drink the whole bottle. I know. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: took a dose, like a strong dose.
- 15:38Speaker 4: ADA mean, you're just getting sucked up off twenty five
- 15:40Speaker 4: percent alcohol and a little bit of a maybe a
- 15:43Speaker 4: little bit of See.
- 15:44Speaker 1: The thing is, it's so long ago. I can't remember.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I say Nike Will because it's like saying Q tips, yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know, or klean X just because it's tissues or
- 15:52Speaker 1: ear swabs. I don't know if it was niquil, but
- 15:54Speaker 1: it was cough syrup, whatever the fuck it was, And
- 15:57Speaker 1: I felt wonderful, and I remember thinking like this, this
- 16:00Speaker 1: could be a real problem like that one day, because
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm always scared of stuff like that. I'm always scared
- 16:05Speaker 1: to get I knew too many people when else growing up,
- 16:07Speaker 1: they got hooked on stuff and it just derailed their life.
- 16:10Speaker 1: So lying in bed, I was like, Oh, you're gonna
- 16:11Speaker 1: do this again? No more this right? I like it? Yeah? Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I got a knee surgery. Once they gave even morphine.
- 16:20Speaker 1: They meet morphine in a drip and they say that
- 16:23Speaker 1: you can only hit that button so many times it
- 16:25Speaker 1: stops given to you. But every time you feel pain,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you can just hit the button. Because I was on
- 16:29Speaker 1: like a perpetual motion machine. So my way's going and
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm just this bang bang bang bang. This episode is

- 17:34Speaker 2: They have a dental office here in Austin called the
- 17:37Speaker 2: Austin Dental Spa, So their whole thing is like a
- 17:41Speaker 2: luxurious dental experience, and they will hook you up the
- 17:46Speaker 2: laughing gas and they let you like if they're like,
- 17:49Speaker 2: They're like, you want a little more, and I'm like, okay, yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And that's like the closest I get to it is
- 17:54Speaker 2: once every six months or so. I go there, and dude,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I'm always excited about this fucking experience. It is so awesome.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Do you ever come up with bits after doing laughing gas?
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'll give me any idea.
- 18:06Speaker 2: No, but during the thing, it makes me weirdly honest
- 18:09Speaker 2: do you ever see it in Kill Bill when he
- 18:11Speaker 2: shoots her in the knee with the honest gun Because
- 18:13Speaker 2: he was a chemist for like a living. It's like
- 18:15Speaker 2: a secret job. So he comes up with this truth serum,
- 18:18Speaker 2: and I've noticed that it makes me like weirdly very honest.
- 18:22Speaker 2: So one time when I was in the dental office,
- 18:24Speaker 2: the guy's doing whatever, and I'm like, and I'm jacked
- 18:29Speaker 2: on laughing gas because it's really you're not really like
- 18:31Speaker 2: cracking up. You're just like in heaven and you're like
- 18:34Speaker 2: it's kind of smiling ear to ear. And I remember going, like,
- 18:38Speaker 2: how long did you go to school for dental school?
- 18:40Speaker 2: And he's like whatever. The answer is like eight years,
- 18:42Speaker 2: and I'm like, did you ever think about going longer?
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm becoming a real doctor? And I realized, like kind
- 18:48Speaker 2: of in the moment, even though I was fucked up,
- 18:50Speaker 2: like that's that sounds mean. But I think they're totally
- 18:53Speaker 2: used to it. I think they know that laughing gas
- 18:55Speaker 2: makes people fuck.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Up, but they're not used that. Dude, that's so mean.
- 18:59Speaker 2: That's That's what I'm saying, is it's like a dangerous
- 19:03Speaker 2: real doctor, a dangerous truth serum.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Some people want to be dentists. Yeah, we need them too.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you know crazy gig. Yeah, it's a weird one.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I know, I might us bad breath. They smile, Oh, and.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Just weird things lodged in teeth for God only knows
- 19:20Speaker 2: how long.
- 19:21Speaker 1: And when I got my root canal, one of the
- 19:24Speaker 1: reason why I had to get it is because I
- 19:26Speaker 1: had a cap on my tooth or a filler whatever
- 19:30Speaker 1: it is. What's it called filler? No, when they just
- 19:34Speaker 1: fill your tooth up? Why can I remember fillings? Why
- 19:37Speaker 1: did I say filler whatever? Yeah, it was an old
- 19:40Speaker 1: school one, you know. It was like white plastic. And
- 19:43Speaker 1: when I was a kid, I used to have them.
- 19:44Speaker 1: They were like fucking lead. They used to give you
- 19:46Speaker 1: a lead fillings, which is crazy, Like kids had lead
- 19:49Speaker 1: in their mouth and it was hurting. It was bothering me.
- 19:53Speaker 1: So what had happened was I had cracked the tooth
- 19:57Speaker 1: and it had gotten infected underneath the filling. So it
- 20:02Speaker 1: takes the filling out and drills into it. And the
- 20:05Speaker 1: smell that came out of my mouth it was so
- 20:10Speaker 1: it was puss. All this puss came out and this
- 20:13Speaker 1: fucking horrific smell. I was like, oh, my god, is
- 20:17Speaker 1: that coming out of my mouth? Yeah, it's like that's normal.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's decay. Right, there's an infection under here. We're gonna
- 20:24Speaker 1: treat it. You're gonna be fine.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, piece of elk from seven years ago.
- 20:27Speaker 1: It was a long time ago. This is a long
- 20:29Speaker 1: time ago. Is before I was hunting, I think, but
- 20:31Speaker 1: it was, uh, you know, people die from that stuff,
- 20:34Speaker 1: which is really crazy. Like if you don't take care
- 20:36Speaker 1: of your teeth and you get that kind of infection,
- 20:39Speaker 1: those kind of infections can become septic.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's nuts. Sometimes I'll do a thing where
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'll water floss after I brush my teeth, just to
- 20:48Speaker 2: see what would have been left in there if I
- 20:51Speaker 2: just did what normal humans do.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Because one of the ship.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I pressure water flosters that I fucking love, complete game
- 20:57Speaker 2: changer for life, and it's in what will jet out
- 21:01Speaker 2: of there with gets stuck deep in between the teeth
- 21:04Speaker 2: and everything, and you know, I think there's I would
- 21:06Speaker 2: for the most part, I do it before I brush,
- 21:08Speaker 2: But every once in a while, I'll be like, I
- 21:10Speaker 2: wonder if there's anything left in there?
- 21:12Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, you have to floss. Yeah, you're gonna
- 21:14Speaker 1: get a bunch of shit stuck in there.
- 21:16Speaker 2: But and even then sometimes I'll regular floss and then
- 21:19Speaker 2: brush my teeth and just out of curiosity, go, I
- 21:22Speaker 2: wonder if there's anything left in there, and I'll do
- 21:23Speaker 2: a one silver with the water floster and you see,
- 21:25Speaker 2: like dink ding dingk three little things come out. It's
- 21:28Speaker 2: like that would have marinated in between my teeth or
- 21:31Speaker 2: in the back of my gum line or whatever.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not good. But according to my dentist, he
- 21:36Speaker 1: thinks it's all sugar. He thinks if you go back
- 21:39Speaker 1: and you look at like when people started developing serious cavities,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's people have always had abscesses and broken teeth and
- 21:48Speaker 1: there's always been like dental problems that haunted people because
- 21:51Speaker 1: back in the day, man they just pull the tooth
- 21:53Speaker 1: out and then who knows what kind of infection you
- 21:55Speaker 1: still have in there, and they don't treat it. In
- 21:58Speaker 1: the seventeen hundreds, if you broke your tooth and got
- 22:00Speaker 1: an infection, you could be fucking dead. You could die
- 22:02Speaker 1: from that shit. But he was saying that the amount
- 22:06Speaker 1: of cavities like steeply increased when people started putting sugar
- 22:10Speaker 1: in everything, and then kids started drinking sugary sodas and
- 22:13Speaker 1: eating sugary candy, and that stuff gets stuck in your teeth.
- 22:16Speaker 1: It's like, I think that's the cause of it.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and probably high fruitose corn syrups probably just as bad,
- 22:22Speaker 2: or if not worse than actual sugar.
- 22:23Speaker 1: That stuff's not good for your body. That's for sure.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Your body doesn't like it. Someone explained to me what's
- 22:29Speaker 1: the difference in the absorption of high fructose corn syrup
- 22:31Speaker 1: versus natural cane sugar. I completely forget how they explained it,
- 22:35Speaker 1: but they were basically saying that there's some issues with
- 22:38Speaker 1: how the body breaks it down. Well, when you drink
- 22:41Speaker 1: a soda, just think about that. Where in nature do
- 22:44Speaker 1: you get twenty grams of sugar just in liquid form
- 22:48Speaker 1: and you just pump it down glug glug glug glug
- 22:50Speaker 1: glug glug.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Ah refresh egg crazy. My buddy that I went to
- 22:55Speaker 2: school with just flew in from Hawaii, which is where
- 22:58Speaker 2: he's lived for like twenty years. He's like, he's like
- 23:01Speaker 2: a wilderness guy, climbs trees and cuts down his own
- 23:04Speaker 2: pineapples and coconuts and stuff all the time. He's he's
- 23:07Speaker 2: got a great life, and he, uh, he checked a
- 23:11Speaker 2: bag this trip, just a few days ago, and he
- 23:14Speaker 2: brought it to the mother Ship because that's where we
- 23:16Speaker 2: met up. And he surprised me with this checked bag
- 23:18Speaker 2: that was like the had the moldings built in and everything,
- 23:21Speaker 2: and had four coconuts and two white Hawaiian pineapples I
- 23:26Speaker 2: think they're called, which like run like sixty five dollars
- 23:29Speaker 2: each or something in the US, like it's impossible to get.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And according to him, I don't know, Uh, he's a
- 23:36Speaker 2: real hippie dippy type.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Is that the dude that you brought to the Mother's.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Anthony, Yeah, your.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Friend from high school yep, which is crazy.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, he's the he's the man. He's just a real dude.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That's crazy when you know people for that long. Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And so this dude is just living in Hawaii living
- 23:50Speaker 1: his best life.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And I mean, holy shit, these fucking pineapple He's like, dude,
- 23:55Speaker 2: you're going to love this pineapple. Pineapple, pineapple. He just
- 23:58Speaker 2: kept going on about it. I'm like, all right, okay,
- 24:00Speaker 2: sure enough. Holy fucking shit, man, it's nature can deliver
- 24:04Speaker 2: you a sugar dose. Because he was saying that white
- 24:08Speaker 2: Hawaiian pineapples have higher sugar but much lower acidity than
- 24:12Speaker 2: what we're used to, so it makes a whole different
- 24:14Speaker 2: and since obviously it's natural sugar in this and that,
- 24:17Speaker 2: it just makes a whole different type of fucking fruit.
- 24:20Speaker 2: It's crazy, sounds good, wild. Hell, we have to go
- 24:23Speaker 2: other places to get unbelievable shit.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Well, of course, Hawaii. Yeah, Hawaii really should be its
- 24:29Speaker 1: own country. Yeah, I listen. I love Hawaii. I'm glad
- 24:32Speaker 1: they're protected by the United States. People are cool as fuck.
- 24:36Speaker 1: It should be its own country. It's five hours by plane. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 1: come on, man. White pineapples, primarily known as sugar loaf
- 24:44Speaker 1: or white jade pineapples highly prized, rare variety grown in Hawaii.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Unlike standard yellow, they feature creamy white flesh, particularly practically
- 24:53Speaker 1: no acidity, and a complex, completely edible core.
- 24:57Speaker 2: It was great and fucking he he's a goddamn tree,
- 25:01Speaker 2: like a little fucking monkey boy, normal, little white dude.
- 25:05Speaker 1: How did he blind up in Hawaii?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Ah, he's a real free spirit. He always was. I
- 25:11Speaker 2: think he just went out there, visited and stayed. He's
- 25:14Speaker 2: the kind of guy that just gets a one way
- 25:15Speaker 2: ticket places and figures it out as he goes. He's
- 25:18Speaker 2: in Youngstown right now. That shows you how adventurous and
- 25:21Speaker 2: crazy he is. He's like, I'm gonna spend a week
- 25:23Speaker 2: and a half there. I'm like, a week and a
- 25:25Speaker 2: half in Youngstown?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Why is he doing that?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Visit family and frenzy?
- 25:30Speaker 1: So was there a good hotel to stay at? Ye?
- 25:34Speaker 2: And I even had to look this up recently because
- 25:36Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm not staying at the crazy hotel that
- 25:38Speaker 2: I stayed at last time I was there. So I'm like,
- 25:41Speaker 2: best hotel in Youngstown. And the funniest thing is the
- 25:44Speaker 2: actual closest option was in Pennsylvania, like fifty minutes away.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Truly.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I mean there's one like Double Tree downtown, but it's
- 25:53Speaker 2: in an area of absolute chaos. He just death wish.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Do you ever go back there and go I can't
- 26:01Speaker 1: believe I grew up here.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Always one percent of the time. I got a feeling
- 26:05Speaker 2: for it immediately when I went to LA, and I
- 26:08Speaker 2: didn't hear police sirens anymore like as often at least,
- 26:12Speaker 2: you know what I mean, This.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Is definitely La with LA's crime.
- 26:16Speaker 2: That's what I always thought. I'm like, oh, this is
- 26:18Speaker 2: going to be crazy. I've heard these Tupac songs like
- 26:20Speaker 2: this is going to be nuts, and it was so peaceful. Yeah, exactly,
- 26:27Speaker 2: so peaceful in Youngstown, at least when I was growing
- 26:30Speaker 2: up there. You could hear a police siren or an
- 26:32Speaker 2: ambulance siren almost at any point of the day. God,
- 26:37Speaker 2: my buddy sent me a shirt recently to another one
- 26:40Speaker 2: buddy that has the stats on it of us being
- 26:44Speaker 2: the murder capital. I think it was ninety ninety one
- 26:47Speaker 2: and ninety six per capita. Not the biggest population, but
- 26:53Speaker 2: per capita it was the most dangerous place you could
- 26:56Speaker 2: be when I was in those most developmental years when
- 26:59Speaker 2: your kids shouldn't be having his head next to the window. Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 2: there it is. I got that shirt.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Four time defending champion murder Capital of America. Wow, yup
- 27:11Speaker 2: in one oh two. That puts me as a sophomore
- 27:14Speaker 2: in junior in high school and ninety five ninety seven.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'm eleven twelve and you're being raised by your mom.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah on the north on the craziest fucking area of
- 27:25Speaker 2: the whole goddamn thing, the most dilapidated part of the
- 27:28Speaker 2: north side of Youngstown.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't believe it. That's why, like every part
- 27:35Speaker 2: of my fucking story, I'm like, this is so goddamn weird,
- 27:40Speaker 2: so weird.
- 27:40Speaker 1: It is when you think about it, right, you really
- 27:43Speaker 1: stop and think about it, doesn't really Sixty years ago,
- 27:45Speaker 1: this Ohio city was named Crimetown, USA. Ye, crime town.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Five bombings, yep. Oh this was the mob days. Yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 1: so it used to be a mob run town, right, totally.
- 27:58Speaker 1: They were called bombtown.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yeah. A Youngstown tune up is a car bomb.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Look at this. Seventy five bombings, eleven killings in a decade,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and no one seems to care.
- 28:11Speaker 2: They were so nuts in Youngstown that somebody tried to
- 28:14Speaker 2: kill the actual prosecutor, the actual DA.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Well, isn't that normal. Well, they always try to do that.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Well, it's kind of the stupidest, craziest thing you could do,
- 28:23Speaker 2: because then the entire FBI comes down on you. It's
- 28:27Speaker 2: a little short sighted to go, ah, we're gonna kill
- 28:30Speaker 2: the main cop of this city and not think that
- 28:33Speaker 2: anything's going to happen from that. Well, we beat the game,
- 28:36Speaker 2: We beat the main cop.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Imagine trying to be an intelligent businessman and also a
- 28:41Speaker 1: mob leader. Imagine like playing things out in advance, but
- 28:46Speaker 1: also you're a mob leader.
- 28:47Speaker 2: There was a lot of that going on, and I
- 28:50Speaker 2: got to see quite a bit of it. Like there were,
- 28:54Speaker 2: let's put it this way, mall developers in Youngstown and
- 28:57Speaker 2: things like that. And I got to see firsthand, very
- 29:00Speaker 2: young that they were communicating with politicians at lunch time
- 29:04Speaker 2: and stuff because I was working at this little Italian
- 29:07Speaker 2: restaurant at the time, right out of high school and
- 29:12Speaker 2: and having they were having these quiet meetups and a
- 29:15Speaker 2: quiet in the corner of a quiet Italian restaurant, and
- 29:18Speaker 2: you would see these huge moguls, you know, I won't
- 29:22Speaker 2: name any names, but big business people in Youngstown meeting
- 29:25Speaker 2: with the local this and that and congressman. I got
- 29:28Speaker 2: to meet that congressman and that congressman because they're there
- 29:31Speaker 2: meeting with these super duper rich people, and I'm like,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I wonder what the correlation is there.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Bro back then when there was no cell phones. Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 1: and you know, they had a bug people they have
- 29:42Speaker 1: they had to literally bug businesses to get information, like
- 29:46Speaker 1: they were all doing something. Oh yeah, you couldn't be
- 29:48Speaker 1: involved in any big time business if you weren't down
- 29:52Speaker 1: with the teamsters, if you weren't down with the longshore.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Menda you hatta, we gotta work this out, Bobby, Well, businessman,
- 30:02Speaker 1: that's that's how you did a business.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Give a little money to their campaign, not a little,
- 30:06Speaker 2: but a bit, and then you can get your stuff
- 30:09Speaker 2: passed and make life easier down the road.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Dude. I had friends that had no show jobs.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Wow.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah. I had a friend of mine that had a
- 30:17Speaker 1: no show job in New York at the Javit Center.
- 30:20Speaker 1: You know the Javit Center. It's like a big convention center.
- 30:24Speaker 1: You had a union no show job. Wow. So he's
- 30:27Speaker 1: a mob guy. Yeah, and they they just gave him money.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I get a free check on the Sopranos, they had
- 30:32Speaker 2: those show construction jobs. They're sitting there with their portable fans.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah. No, that's real, dude, that is a real thing. Yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 1: there's they get a certain amount of jobs. They would
- 30:44Speaker 1: make agreements, like the union did make an agreement get
- 30:47Speaker 1: a certain amount of these jobs. There's like, you know,
- 30:50Speaker 1: it's crazy, it's really one hundred jobs, but we want
- 30:53Speaker 1: one hundred and thirty. Youngstown was a haven for organized crime.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Related corruption was ingrained into the fabric of its society.
- 31:04Speaker 1: A two thousand publication New Republic listed a chief of police,
- 31:07Speaker 1: the outgoing prosecutor of the sheriff, the county engineer, members
- 31:10Speaker 1: of the local police force, a city law director, several
- 31:13Speaker 1: defense attorneys, politicians, judges, and a former assistant US attorney
- 31:18Speaker 1: as controlled by the mob.
- 31:21Speaker 2: So if they have that, if they found that for sure,
- 31:26Speaker 2: imagine how many others there are.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Right, that's everybody. That's everybody, the prosecutor, the sheriff, the
- 31:32Speaker 1: county engineer, the police force, city law director, defense attorney.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Imagine not being down with the mob? Do you want
- 31:39Speaker 1: to stay alive? Like, do you want to work in
- 31:41Speaker 1: this business? Right?
- 31:42Speaker 2: And this is a city I think we looked it
- 31:44Speaker 2: up the other day. Actually, I think it only has
- 31:46Speaker 2: twenty five thousand white people, so knowing that black people
- 31:50Speaker 2: tend to not be in the Italian mob, just going
- 31:54Speaker 2: off of twenty five thousand, and that's current. I don't
- 31:58Speaker 2: know what it was back in the day, but the
- 31:59Speaker 2: point is it's like, it's not a big city. It's
- 32:04Speaker 2: not I think fifty sixty thousand and half or less white.
- 32:09Speaker 2: So there.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a little Tony watching pro wrestling.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, pro wrestling, and even then I was obsessed
- 32:16Speaker 2: with Goodfellas and a Bronx Tale and a Godfather because
- 32:19Speaker 2: it's like, it's just what you're taught is humanity, Like
- 32:23Speaker 2: that's life. Yeah, So getting out of that and going
- 32:27Speaker 2: to LA and thinking it was going to be all, no,
- 32:29Speaker 2: that's going to be crazy gangs and stuff, and it's
- 32:32Speaker 2: just quiet. Granted I started in Burbank, which is a
- 32:35Speaker 2: fucking television studio essentially, But when.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I moved to New Jersey and I didn't have any money.
- 32:40Speaker 1: When I first moved to New York, I couldn't afford
- 32:42Speaker 1: to live in New York City or I didn't even
- 32:45Speaker 1: have apartment. I stayed with my grandparents because my grandfather
- 32:48Speaker 1: lived in New Jersey, in Newark, and he bought a
- 32:53Speaker 1: house there and I think it was like the nineteen forties,
- 32:56Speaker 1: and they did a thing called blockbusting. Do you know what?
- 32:58Speaker 1: Blockbusting was a door to door and they would say
- 33:01Speaker 1: black people are moving into the neighborhood, you gotta sell now,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and everybody sold. It used to be an entirely Italian neighborhood.
- 33:07Speaker 1: And he was like, I like, black people, get the
- 33:09Speaker 1: fuck out of here. And he kept his house, but
- 33:10Speaker 1: it was like one of very few families that stayed,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and then the black people moved out, and then they
- 33:16Speaker 1: started getting like different people is Spanish speaking people like
- 33:20Speaker 1: Dominicans and a bunch of other And that's how it
- 33:23Speaker 1: was when I stayed with him, So this is like
- 33:28Speaker 1: ninety ninety one. Yeah, I was three years in the comedy,
- 33:32Speaker 1: so it's probably ninety one. And while I was living
- 33:35Speaker 1: with him, the next door neighbor's house got broken into
- 33:37Speaker 1: by the cops. The dea smashed down's door. The dude
- 33:40Speaker 1: had an Audi parked in a driveway. He was selling crack,
- 33:43Speaker 1: like right next door to my grandpa. The whole neighborhood
- 33:46Speaker 1: was his nuts. Dude, Like he would get really nervous
- 33:48Speaker 1: when I would leave, Like I would leave to go
- 33:50Speaker 1: play pool somewhere, and he would be careful. They're like
- 33:52Speaker 1: it was fucking scy. Yeah, but it didn't used to
- 33:58Speaker 1: be like when he first moved there. It was just
- 34:01Speaker 1: an all Italian neighborhood.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Real estate people even back, Like what a dirty thing
- 34:06Speaker 1: to do, scare people into moving. That's probably the first
- 34:10Speaker 1: project of usaid that's probably yeah, Yeah, they've probablys got
- 34:16Speaker 1: real estate people to destroy neighborhoods.
- 34:19Speaker 2: There's something to it. I don't know the correlation of
- 34:21Speaker 2: Italian neighborhoods being taken over, not taken over but whatever
- 34:27Speaker 2: by black people, like the mob run cities like Youngstown,
- 34:31Speaker 2: like Chicago, like Detroit. It's an interesting anomaly. I wonder
- 34:37Speaker 2: if there's any correlation between the things.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Well, you know, most of the Italians that came in
- 34:43Speaker 1: the early twentieth century were very poor, you know, they
- 34:47Speaker 1: were all coming over here for labor jobs and things
- 34:50Speaker 1: along those lines. And you know, when they started doing better,
- 34:55Speaker 1: they you know, they started moving out and moving into
- 34:57Speaker 1: the suburbs and moving into you know, more gentrified areas.
- 35:01Speaker 1: It's always what are the new immigrants that are gonna
- 35:04Speaker 1: come and take over this area that was like formerly
- 35:07Speaker 1: a low income Italian neighborhood or a low income Irish neighborhood.
- 35:11Speaker 1: It's the same thing, Like there's cycles, you know. It's
- 35:15Speaker 1: like there's cycles in fighting too, Like in the early
- 35:19Speaker 1: twentieth century, there's a lot of Jewish fighters like Slappy
- 35:22Speaker 1: Maxie Rosenbloom. You never heard of him, right, No, the
- 35:25Speaker 1: very good Jewish fighters because they were poor and they
- 35:29Speaker 1: were the new immigrants, you know. And this is like
- 35:32Speaker 1: before World War two, and then in and even afterwards
- 35:37Speaker 1: there was some. But then you get Italians. You get
- 35:40Speaker 1: a lot of Italians, got Rocky Marciano, Rocky Graziano, There's
- 35:44Speaker 1: a lot of like Jake Lamatta. There's a lot of
- 35:46Speaker 1: these like Italian bad motherfuckers because they were poor. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and then what happened. Then you got a lot of
- 35:53Speaker 1: Puerto Ricans, a lot of you know, it's always like
- 35:55Speaker 1: who's the new immigrants, right and who are the most hungry?
- 35:59Speaker 1: Come from the most poverty ridden areas, Like Roberto Duran
- 36:03Speaker 1: came from a terrible part of Panama, Like not terrible,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but I mean like very poor, very violent, and he
- 36:09Speaker 1: was one of the baddest motherfuckers right down the street. Yep. Yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 1: I mean Youngstown is known for boxing. Yeah, Kelly Pablock,
- 36:19Speaker 1: Kelly Pablic who's been on the podcast. He's awesome. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 1: he was a beast. Dude.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Oh man, that fight with him, Jermaine Taylor. I still
- 36:29Speaker 2: rewatch the end of that.
- 36:30Speaker 1: How did he survive?
- 36:31Speaker 2: Give me a burst of energy, I.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Mean, how did he make it through? That was a
- 36:36Speaker 1: crazy I mean he got dropped. He looked like it
- 36:39Speaker 1: looks like the fight was over. And then when he's
- 36:41Speaker 1: got him in the corner and he rocks him, and
- 36:43Speaker 1: I go, no way he's coming back.
- 36:46Speaker 2: This is crazy, crazy this.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Did you watch the fights this weekend? Jron Boots, Ennis
- 36:51Speaker 1: and I forget the dude was fighting.
- 36:53Speaker 2: No, I was at that concert. I missed it.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Boots is very good and for the most part he
- 36:58Speaker 1: beat his ass, but the third round he got rocked.
- 37:01Speaker 1: The third round was incredible because he the kid he
- 37:04Speaker 1: was fighting. Who's the gentleman that he was fighting, James Zious, Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 1: young kid. He got dropped in the second round, like
- 37:12Speaker 1: pretty bad. Boots is very good, he's like one of
- 37:14Speaker 1: the best boxers alive. And then the third round the
- 37:17Speaker 1: kid came back and rocked Boots and it was just
- 37:19Speaker 1: a war. Just the third round was incredible. Boots wound
- 37:22Speaker 1: up stopping him. I think he stopped him in like
- 37:25Speaker 1: the seventh or the eighth round. Uh, he just dropped
- 37:28Speaker 1: him one last time and the the corner called it. It
- 37:31Speaker 1: was enough, like he was getting his ass kicked. But
- 37:33Speaker 1: he was very, very valiant. You know. It was a
- 37:36Speaker 1: really good fight. Like Boots is better than him, Like
- 37:38Speaker 1: clearly he's like he's on another level. But this kid
- 37:41Speaker 1: showed just tremendous heart. But it's like that third round
- 37:44Speaker 1: was just coming back from getting dropped in the second,
- 37:47Speaker 1: like those kind of moments where guy's getting fucked up,
- 37:50Speaker 1: like like the gatesheet to Poria fight. Yeah, perfect example.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Yeah right, that's when it's really a fight.
- 37:57Speaker 1: A real fight. Yeah, because to a Poria was on
- 38:01Speaker 1: him in that second round.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Man, we were so close, they were in there.
- 38:06Speaker 1: We could hear it.
- 38:07Speaker 2: They Oh you could really you could feel it where
- 38:10Speaker 2: I was, man, And you know, obviously we're always close
- 38:13Speaker 2: to the cage on those things. But then when Gate,
- 38:16Speaker 2: when Tipuria was landing those body shots, it was right
- 38:20Speaker 2: against our side of the fence, and I'm literally like,
- 38:24Speaker 2: oh my, I mean, holy fucking shit, man. And I've
- 38:28Speaker 2: seen a lot of people get ripped of the body before,
- 38:30Speaker 2: but there's something about his close range strength in near
- 38:34Speaker 2: that clench, that close up fucking range of ilia that
- 38:39Speaker 2: is scary.
- 38:40Speaker 1: He's so good, dude, He's so good, and he's so precise.
- 38:45Speaker 1: He just tried to like Chaill. I always repeat this
- 38:48Speaker 1: because Chill Sun had said it was perfect. If you
- 38:50Speaker 1: try to win by knockout and fail, you won't win
- 38:53Speaker 1: a decision. Yeah, and sometimes you just run out of
- 38:57Speaker 1: gas because like you're not supposed to fight like that
- 38:59Speaker 1: if you think that the fight's gonna go five rounds.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Like Ilia had him hurt and he's like, I can
- 39:03Speaker 1: take him out. But Justin so durable. Man, He's so durable.
- 39:09Speaker 1: And that left hook to the body the sound of it, man,
- 39:13Speaker 1: it's just whip. It's so perfect. He throws perfect punches.
- 39:17Speaker 1: His punches are just I mean even Justin said it
- 39:21Speaker 1: in the post fight interview, like when he's fresh, his
- 39:23Speaker 1: skills are unmatched. Like that's a crazy thing to say
- 39:26Speaker 1: to a guy who just beat up and made stop.
- 39:28Speaker 1: He stopped him in the fourth round. Yeah, that's crazy
- 39:31Speaker 1: to say, like his skills are unmatched, but they really are.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Oh, at every point of that, I'm at every point
- 39:38Speaker 2: of that. Anybody I think that knows anything about those
- 39:40Speaker 2: two fighters is going until this is stopped. Anybody can
- 39:45Speaker 2: win this. Like even when his face was blown up
- 39:49Speaker 2: and his eyes looked black and closed, until that airhorn rings,
- 39:55Speaker 2: I'm like, anything one punch and we've seen it even
- 39:59Speaker 2: with Gae Chee, saw it with Holloway, Right, was it
- 40:02Speaker 2: him who did he square up with in the middle.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Yes, way, yes, Max hit him with that final punch.
- 40:07Speaker 2: One chin one with one second left, it can all
- 40:11Speaker 2: be over.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a little different in that Holloway caught
- 40:16Speaker 1: him with a jump spinning back kick to the face
- 40:19Speaker 1: in the very last seconds of the first round and
- 40:21Speaker 1: broke the bone of his nose. We talked about it
- 40:25Speaker 1: on the podcast and I was like, that changed that
- 40:27Speaker 1: fight because before that, Geechee was pressing him and it
- 40:31Speaker 1: looked very competitive, and it looked like maybe Gechee had
- 40:34Speaker 1: a slight advantage, But that's because Max. Max is very clever,
- 40:39Speaker 1: very clever fighter, Like he's always switching stances and moving
- 40:42Speaker 1: and you know, really hadn't showed that spinning backkick a lot.
- 40:45Speaker 1: That hadn't been a feature in a lot of his fights.
- 40:47Speaker 1: He did it a few times, but for him to
- 40:50Speaker 1: land it that way, backing up, jumped to the face,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I mean, it was perfect. It was perfect, and his
- 40:56Speaker 1: nose was fucked. And if you're fighting with a broken
- 40:58Speaker 1: like a broken bone on your face, every time you're
- 41:01Speaker 1: getting hit, you're getting just blasted, You're the pain is insane.
- 41:06Speaker 1: And then you know he had you know, he was
- 41:09Speaker 1: a step behind Max. Max is teeing off on him.
- 41:11Speaker 1: He landed some good shots though, even though it was
- 41:14Speaker 1: a good fight. I mean Max was definitely ahead in
- 41:17Speaker 1: the fifth round, but it was a good fight. And
- 41:20Speaker 1: then you know, during that wild exchange, she should have
- 41:23Speaker 1: never done that. Yeah, he was already fading, whereas Max
- 41:26Speaker 1: was still very fresh. Fucking crazy fight, man, Yeah, that
- 41:31Speaker 1: was a crazy fight.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I think Tapiria's nose was broken. And round two, I
- 41:36Speaker 2: think it was pretty early on and.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Hard to say. Yeah, you know, but Justin did clip
- 41:42Speaker 1: him with a bunch of those uppercuts. So Justin does
- 41:45Speaker 1: this thing where he like collar tizes you and then
- 41:48Speaker 1: throws an uppercut in tight and he's really good at it.
- 41:51Speaker 1: He's really good at like turning you a little and
- 41:53Speaker 1: then throwing an uppercut in these exchanges. He collar ties
- 41:56Speaker 1: and uppercuts. He caught him a few times. And you
- 41:58Speaker 1: just get one of those on the fucking nose on
- 42:01Speaker 1: the old schnazole. This thing's so brittle. Yeah, it's such
- 42:04Speaker 1: a if you feel your nose, just feel it. Have
- 42:07Speaker 1: you ever seen Morob's nose? The X ray of Morob's nose?
- 42:12Speaker 1: Have you never seen it? I sent it to you right, Jami,
- 42:14Speaker 1: Jamie'll find it. It's crazy. Look at it looks like,
- 42:19Speaker 1: oh my god, look at that. Oh fuck bro, that
- 42:25Speaker 1: thing is destroyed. I mean it's destroyed. He's getting zero
- 42:28Speaker 1: air out of that. He's got the best cardio on
- 42:30Speaker 1: planet Earth and he's getting zero air out of his nose.
- 42:34Speaker 1: But he won't get it fixed because if he gets
- 42:36Speaker 1: it fixed, he can't fight for like a year, and
- 42:39Speaker 1: he just wants to keep on trucking.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that dude's a freak.
- 42:45Speaker 1: If I was his friend, I would say, dude, you
- 42:47Speaker 1: got a lot of money, you're a world champion. Let's
- 42:50Speaker 1: fix the nose. Let's fix it. Let's take a year off,
- 42:52Speaker 1: come back and fuck these motherfuckers up. Because if that
- 42:55Speaker 1: guy's got a fixed nose, he's got ten percent more cardio.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Are you crazy? Yeah, that guy with a time percent
- 43:01Speaker 1: more cardio. That's an extra weapon. I would get it fixed.
- 43:05Speaker 1: But the problem is if he gets it fixed and then,
- 43:07Speaker 1: like if it's a guy like Halloween, he gets jumping
- 43:09Speaker 1: and spinning back kicked to the nose in the first
- 43:11Speaker 1: round and it shattered is again, then he's kind of
- 43:14Speaker 1: fucked because if they have to fix it again, then
- 43:16Speaker 1: they might have to start taking pieces of your rib
- 43:18Speaker 1: out and reconstructing your nose and grafting bone and doing
- 43:23Speaker 1: weird shit. And then sometimes that shit doesn't take and
- 43:27Speaker 1: sometimes it gets infected and then you have a bone
- 43:29Speaker 1: infection on your face and why do they do that?
- 43:32Speaker 1: And then they have to remove your nose? Is that
- 43:34Speaker 1: what they have to do? Fuck? God, scary shit man,
- 43:37Speaker 1: very much. So he's fucking dudes, man. That is a
- 43:40Speaker 1: crazy job. To risk your life, risk your health, risk
- 43:44Speaker 1: your bones. You're making a living by trying to damage
- 43:48Speaker 1: another person who's trying to damage you. Nuts. But it's
- 43:53Speaker 1: also why it's the most exciting shit in the world
- 43:55Speaker 1: to watch. Exactly so exciting. Yea, even boxing, as you know,
- 44:01Speaker 1: tamed in comparison to MMA because there's less weapons and
- 44:05Speaker 1: less options and you are, yeah, you don't get the chokeouts,
- 44:09Speaker 1: the crazy chokeouts. There was a crazy choke out this weekend.
- 44:14Speaker 1: His name is Ruzaboyev, and he fought uh god, how
- 44:18Speaker 1: do I say his last name? You fought this Russian
- 44:20Speaker 1: cat and got him Russian or Ukrainian, I forget. But
- 44:24Speaker 1: he got him in a real naked choke and put
- 44:26Speaker 1: him to sleep. And it was one of those ones
- 44:27Speaker 1: where the guy looks dead, he's like lying there. I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 1: it was a fucking nasty choke man. And yeah, and
- 44:33Speaker 1: it's looking at Oh yeah, I saw that. It was
- 44:37Speaker 1: dark dude.
- 44:38Speaker 2: It's another meme out this week along with the w.
- 44:40Speaker 1: A point name bro was nuts.
- 44:45Speaker 2: The memes on these things are nuts.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Nowadays the internet is undefeated.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Oh it's crazy.
- 44:50Speaker 1: They're so good at memes. There's so many people out
- 44:52Speaker 1: there working jobs that they hate that are smart and funny.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we were talking about it the other day. But
- 44:59Speaker 2: you have you caught up with any of those wnba
- 45:02Speaker 2: what's their name? The girl that's pointing.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Out Sophie Cunningham. Yeah, yeah, I've been paying it put
- 45:08Speaker 1: that thing in the middle. Yes, I've been paying attention
- 45:13Speaker 1: very little. But one of the things that I did
- 45:15Speaker 1: watch is all the fouls, Like these bitches throw each
- 45:19Speaker 1: other to the ground and they poke each other in
- 45:22Speaker 1: the eyes like they do this, They literally jab each
- 45:25Speaker 1: other in the eyes. It's crazy, like they they foul.
- 45:29Speaker 1: And also they travel so much, they take like four
- 45:33Speaker 1: or five steps and then no one calls them on it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, double durable.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Is there a trend now to not call traveling.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Yes, without a doubt. In the actual NBA it's a
- 45:45Speaker 2: thing too.
- 45:47Speaker 4: It's hard to get into this without going way into
- 45:49Speaker 4: do like the Weeds. But the NBA has a technically
- 45:52Speaker 4: different rule than college, and like high school and everyone
- 45:55Speaker 4: else where, there's that they call it a gather step,
- 45:57Speaker 4: and it definitely would call it in high school.
- 45:59Speaker 1: But they work.
- 46:00Speaker 4: All day manipulating it with a referee watching them saying like,
- 46:03Speaker 4: you can do that, but you can't do that. You
- 46:05Speaker 4: can do this, but you can't do that. And so
- 46:07Speaker 4: like they've got it to a place where everything they're
- 46:09Speaker 4: doing looks like traveling and double dribbles. But guys will
- 46:12Speaker 4: break it down in slow mo and you'll be like, well,
- 46:14Speaker 4: technically it's not.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Because it's weird. I always thought if you took a
- 46:18Speaker 1: step you had to bounce the ball. Yeah, that's how
- 46:20Speaker 1: it should be.
- 46:21Speaker 2: You're allowed to.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Doesn't it seem like that should be how it is.
- 46:25Speaker 1: You'll see guys taking four steps, like, what's going on?
- 46:28Speaker 1: But do you want to see exciting basketball or not? Yeah?
- 46:31Speaker 1: I do?
- 46:32Speaker 4: All right, Well, then just let the referees call the
- 46:34Speaker 4: game how they call it.
- 46:35Speaker 1: But I think there's something exciting about you having to
- 46:37Speaker 1: bounce that ball because you won't be able to score
- 46:39Speaker 1: as much, right, correct if you have to bounce it
- 46:43Speaker 1: every two steps? Whatever it is.
- 46:45Speaker 2: I wish I loved the NBA like I did when
- 46:47Speaker 2: I was a kid. And fucking Barkley and Jordan and
- 46:51Speaker 2: Ewing and all these people were physical. It is just
- 46:54Speaker 2: a whole different game now, is.
- 46:56Speaker 1: So back then? Was it traveling from the Larry Bird days?
- 47:01Speaker 2: Hell yeah, unless Jordan talked to the ref and said, Yo,
- 47:04Speaker 2: you're wrong, let me do what I want.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Well, Jordan had the cheat code where he would leap
- 47:08Speaker 1: from the fucking free throw line. Yeah, that is so.
- 47:12Speaker 1: When I've watched videos of that, it doesn't even look real.
- 47:15Speaker 1: He was such an amazing athlete. He was so good
- 47:19Speaker 1: and so possessed by his desire to win. He would
- 47:23Speaker 1: do things that you would just go, how does a
- 47:25Speaker 1: person fly? Yeah, dude, imagine if he was like like
- 47:30Speaker 1: one of those jumpers, those long distance jumpers, he probably
- 47:32Speaker 1: been insane. Jump Yeah, because he's going from the free
- 47:36Speaker 1: throw line in the air. That's crazy.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Everything he did was crazy. The way he did things,
- 47:43Speaker 2: the way he practiced everything.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and did he not make his college team. High
- 47:49Speaker 1: school team wasn't there. Like one year when he was.
- 47:52Speaker 4: A freshman, he didn't make the varsity team.
- 47:54Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that's most freshman.
- 47:56Speaker 2: All perfect may have changed basketball three forever.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Most freshmen, though, that doesn't make sense because they're not
- 48:03Speaker 1: even developed yet. Yeah you're playing. I know kids in
- 48:06Speaker 1: Texas they keep their kids back a year. Wow, they
- 48:09Speaker 1: want their kid to be bigger. I want Billy to
- 48:12Speaker 1: be the biggest freshman. I want them to be a
- 48:14Speaker 1: fifteen year old freshman we're pushing for right before it's
- 48:16Speaker 1: fifteenth birthday. Like, hey, fifteen is a sophomore. Billy's a
- 48:20Speaker 1: fucking cheater. Why you saying back of Billy? Yeah that
- 48:24Speaker 1: It doesn't bother me nearly as much in a sport
- 48:27Speaker 1: like football, where I see what you're doing, like you're
- 48:30Speaker 1: preparing a kid for a professional future. Perhaps especially in Texas,
- 48:34Speaker 1: they're very into it down here. But if it's a
- 48:37Speaker 1: wrestling it's like, hey, yeah, hey, there's fucking no money
- 48:41Speaker 1: in this and that kid's sixteen. He's in the ninth grade.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nuts.
- 48:48Speaker 1: How is the How old is the oldest that a
- 48:50Speaker 1: kid can be in competing in high school sports, Jamie,
- 48:57Speaker 1: please put that into our sponsor perplexity. Let's find out.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I wonder if it varies by sport.
- 49:03Speaker 4: Definitely, by sport, by state.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Mmmm. Interesting. Do they all have a cap at eighteen
- 49:11Speaker 1: or do they allow you to but it's compete at nineteen.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Yeah, there's gonna be a but before I evenhit ner,
- 49:15Speaker 4: I note, it's going to say something about, like your
- 49:17Speaker 4: graduating class can't be out maybe more than like two
- 49:20Speaker 4: years or something like that, because you got held back
- 49:22Speaker 4: or you had an injury or something like that.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Boy, I remember from my days of being like seventeen
- 49:28Speaker 1: and eighteen, the difference between seventeen and nineteen was huge. Yeah,
- 49:32Speaker 1: it's a big difference. Fuck. Yeah. By the time you're nineteen,
- 49:35Speaker 1: you're basically man's strength, you know. Seventeen I was like
- 49:39Speaker 1: a boy still. Yeah, you know, like it was flimsy.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Seventeen that was like a flimsy kid. By the time
- 49:45Speaker 1: I was nineteen, it's a different animal. You've got two
- 49:48Speaker 1: more years of training in testosterone in you. If you're
- 49:51Speaker 1: a wrestler, that's got to be a huge advantage.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Every advantage, everything in wrestling is a huge advantage. Starting
- 49:58Speaker 2: one year earlier is.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Huge, huge advantage.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Yeah, nineteen based off.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Of oh bro, that's so rude. Making nineteen year olds
- 50:06Speaker 1: wrestle against like, possibly fifteen year olds is crazy, right,
- 50:11Speaker 1: So if you are like in a certain weight class
- 50:14Speaker 1: that's not strong, Like I wasn't a good wrestler. I
- 50:16Speaker 1: was a pretty good wrestler, but I started. I was
- 50:19Speaker 1: on the varsity team at my high school and uh,
- 50:23Speaker 1: like one year I didn't even cut weight or one
- 50:25Speaker 1: one weight class I didn't cut. I was there was
- 50:28Speaker 1: a guy that was below me at like one twenty
- 50:30Speaker 1: six or one twenty eight, and he was better than me.
- 50:33Speaker 1: And so the next available weight class was one thirty four,
- 50:36Speaker 1: which is that's what I normally weighed when I was fifteen.
- 50:39Speaker 1: So I just wrestled at one thirty four. That's lovely. Yeah,
- 50:42Speaker 1: I could have been in there with a nineteen year
- 50:44Speaker 1: old fucking animal who weighs a buck sixty and drives
- 50:49Speaker 1: himself out briefly to hit one thirty four. And there
- 50:52Speaker 1: was guys like that. Man. You would see them at
- 50:53Speaker 1: like the States and you go, what the fuck? Yeah,
- 50:56Speaker 1: And they were going to camps, so they were wrestling
- 50:58Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty five days a year, all year long.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I just started. I didn't know anything same.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I started as a freshman in high school and got
- 51:06Speaker 2: fucked up.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I didn't even start as a freshman. I started as
- 51:09Speaker 1: a sophomore. I started as a sophomore because some kid
- 51:13Speaker 1: kicked my ass in the locker room. So some kid
- 51:15Speaker 1: crabby in the headlock and threw me to the ground
- 51:17Speaker 1: and didn't punch me. You could have punched me, decided
- 51:19Speaker 1: not to, but I was so humiliated. I was like,
- 51:21Speaker 1: oh my god, I need to learn how to wrestle.
- 51:24Speaker 1: And then I also wrestled in the park, like in
- 51:26Speaker 1: the grass with my friend Steven, and I thought i'd
- 51:29Speaker 1: be I was a good athlete. I was doing karate.
- 51:31Speaker 1: I was like, you can't take me down. She took
- 51:32Speaker 1: me down instantly. I was like, oh no, this is terrible.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a whole different beast.
- 51:38Speaker 1: It's also like how tired you get. I remember thinking
- 51:42Speaker 1: I used to think that I had worked out before that,
- 51:44Speaker 1: because I had, you know, taken karate classes and done
- 51:46Speaker 1: some taekwondo. I thought i'd worked out. Yeah, you don't
- 51:49Speaker 1: even know what working out is until you go through
- 51:51Speaker 1: a wrestling practice. We're running stairs. What what we're carrying
- 51:56Speaker 1: guys around the wrestling room. You pick up your partner,
- 51:59Speaker 1: your training partner, you have for fireman, carry them around
- 52:01Speaker 1: the fucking room. Oh Jesus Christ, didn't you doing push
- 52:05Speaker 1: ups and sit ups toa puke? And then you're doing
- 52:07Speaker 1: live drills? Fuck NonStop dude animals.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we would rotate.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 52:14Speaker 2: You know there's all those different weight classes and just
- 52:17Speaker 2: for shits and giggles. You know. One of the drills was,
- 52:20Speaker 2: you know, escape from the next guy. All right, bebe whistleblows.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Escape you're on bottom, you have to get out the
- 52:26Speaker 2: next guy. So sometimes I at a one oh three
- 52:30Speaker 2: weight class, I would have Hugh Frost, who was I
- 52:33Speaker 2: think two thirty five, two forty five, two fifty, yes,
- 52:36Speaker 2: the rest of them, Oh yeah, just for one drill.
- 52:39Speaker 2: It's a fucking joke. It's a pancake. And he would
- 52:42Speaker 2: probably he was probably showing mercy at the time, obviously,
- 52:45Speaker 2: but not really because he doesn't want to He doesn't
- 52:47Speaker 2: want to let this little fucking shithead one oh three
- 52:50Speaker 2: out from under him. So he's you know, putting enough
- 52:52Speaker 2: pressure to keep everybody there, not to mention the one
- 52:56Speaker 2: sixty five, freak of nature made of muscle. In the
- 52:58Speaker 2: one eighty five, you know it was just a drill,
- 53:01Speaker 2: but reality hits hard. That's how you see the difference
- 53:05Speaker 2: between fifteen and seventeen and all that.
- 53:08Speaker 1: And someone who actually really knows how to wrestle just
- 53:10Speaker 1: wrestler strength. Like I always tell people, if you want
- 53:14Speaker 1: to look at MMA, like what is the most important skill,
- 53:17Speaker 1: The foundation is wrestling. The foundation if you wanted your
- 53:21Speaker 1: kid to be a badass fighter, Like my kid really
- 53:24Speaker 1: loves fighting. He thinks he wants to do it, but
- 53:25Speaker 1: I want to prepare him right, which I do. Teach
- 53:27Speaker 1: him how to wrestle. Get that kid into a really
- 53:30Speaker 1: good wrestling program, because if you have advanced wrestling, you
- 53:33Speaker 1: look at how it shuts down so many fighters, Like
- 53:36Speaker 1: look at what Hamza did to drecc his dupless Hamza.
- 53:41Speaker 1: He just ragged all them. His wrestling is at such
- 53:44Speaker 1: a high level. And Trekkis, who was a world champion,
- 53:46Speaker 1: couldn't do shit to stop it. He just dragged him
- 53:49Speaker 1: to the ground. He any time he wanted to, he
- 53:50Speaker 1: got him at a crucifix, like three.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Times Morob against still Malley. I need exactly exactly. We're
- 53:57Speaker 2: watching a guy that doesn't know no. Look right hand, knockout,
- 54:01Speaker 2: punch into a salute, No, look at his opponent right get.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I mean, it's just impossible. It appears impossible. And every
- 54:12Speaker 2: Kabebe fight, the thing I always think about first when
- 54:15Speaker 2: I think about Kabebe fighting is him being on top
- 54:18Speaker 2: and having his feet under the other dude's feet, which
- 54:21Speaker 2: is just That's it. It's the final level. When you
- 54:25Speaker 2: can't even begin the process of posturing out in any way.
- 54:31Speaker 2: You are nothing. You are a tissue in an octagon
- 54:34Speaker 2: with a man.
- 54:34Speaker 1: And he's wailing on your face. He's wailing on your face,
- 54:38Speaker 1: and he has your legs triangled underneath his legs.
- 54:41Speaker 2: It's always funny when UFC or when casual UFC fans
- 54:47Speaker 2: don't understand those little things like that that aren't even
- 54:50Speaker 2: part of the fight. They're looking up here, waiting to
- 54:53Speaker 2: see if the punches are going to rain down. But
- 54:56Speaker 2: the positioning of his feet is what I'm always looking at.
- 55:00Speaker 2: How scary it can be here, but he was not.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Even doing it right as hell on here that leg
- 55:06Speaker 1: being brown is half it's all the weight.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Nothing we can do. There's just nowhere to go and
- 55:13Speaker 2: all that weight on those hips. People don't realize, like
- 55:17Speaker 2: I noticed immediately if I ever see somebody that's kind
- 55:20Speaker 2: of on top and their knees are on the ground,
- 55:22Speaker 2: Like if you look, his right knee isn't on the ground,
- 55:25Speaker 2: it looks like it might be.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Look keeps slamming those left hands into Johnson's head. I
- 55:30Speaker 1: mean he got hit with like fifteen twenty unanswered full
- 55:33Speaker 1: force left hand blows. Bro He's horrible. He was horrible,
- 55:38Speaker 1: so good, Kavi was so good, and he would do
- 55:41Speaker 1: this to world class fighters. Man. And by the way,
- 55:43Speaker 1: Johnson clipped him in that fight too. It was one
- 55:45Speaker 1: of the few times in his career where he got clipped.
- 55:50Speaker 4: Yeah, man, that looked really frustrated. Who's the one that
- 55:53Speaker 4: looks super frustrated in that Barbozo I'm asking. I don't
- 55:56Speaker 4: remember who it was.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Barbozo was one of them, But I mean, a lot
- 55:59Speaker 1: of guys are fuck uld be look frustrated because there's
- 56:01Speaker 1: not a damn thing they could do. Barbozo was like
- 56:03Speaker 1: early in the first round he had that thousand yards stare,
- 56:06Speaker 1: was like, fuck, Like I have to go through three
- 56:08Speaker 1: rounds of this where they just give up on the
- 56:10Speaker 1: idea that they could even win. Like, all you're doing
- 56:13Speaker 1: is trying to survive. Yeah, he was a monster dude
- 56:17Speaker 1: like that.
- 56:18Speaker 2: His leg being trapped is nuts and it looks how he's
- 56:22Speaker 2: scooting with it.
- 56:23Speaker 1: And he's just slamming punches and then they get up.
- 56:25Speaker 1: He's just chasing you. Thought, but if you get up,
- 56:29Speaker 1: he's just gonna chase you and drag you to the ground. Yeah.
- 56:31Speaker 1: So you blew all that energy to get up. The
- 56:34Speaker 1: moment you tried to punch or throw a kick, he's
- 56:36Speaker 1: on you. You're on your back again. Punch to the face.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Punch to the face. Yet, wrestling's giant, It is the
- 56:43Speaker 1: the biggest skill. You have to know how to do
- 56:46Speaker 1: everything else too. Nowadays because all these kids that like
- 56:49Speaker 1: you see in the Contender series, these young guys coming up, Man,
- 56:52Speaker 1: they're all so fucking talented. He tried to wheel kick him.
- 56:57Speaker 2: And really, more than anything, I feel like wrestling, being
- 57:00Speaker 2: out wrestled and being just trapped on the ground is
- 57:03Speaker 2: so psychologically demoralizing. When you've been training for a UFC
- 57:07Speaker 2: fight and the crowd is out there and the lights
- 57:10Speaker 2: are on you, and you see the logos on the
- 57:11Speaker 2: mat because you're facing it.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Back that up a little bit. Let me show you
- 57:14Speaker 1: something here too. What's what's interesting here before that, before
- 57:17Speaker 1: the clinch. So after he throws the wheelkick, like Barbos
- 57:21Speaker 1: is trying to win, right, this is the third round,
- 57:23Speaker 1: he's trying to win, and he throws this wat but look,
- 57:25Speaker 1: no go before that when he throws the kick here
- 57:29Speaker 1: it is so he throws the kick and misses. He's
- 57:31Speaker 1: so tired now that when kab Be moves for him,
- 57:34Speaker 1: he clinches. Look, he instigated the clinch instead of pushing away,
- 57:39Speaker 1: instead of circling to his left. He clinched because he's
- 57:42Speaker 1: so tired. Dude, he's so tired. And this dude just
- 57:45Speaker 1: look at that face. He just drags him down to
- 57:47Speaker 1: the ground again.
- 57:48Speaker 2: It just hell two on one on that arm underneath him.
- 57:52Speaker 2: I mean, lads being thrown in. He doesn't know what
- 57:54Speaker 2: to do with his legs. He actually just put his
- 57:56Speaker 2: foot above k because it's so confusing, all that weight
- 58:00Speaker 2: on you. You don't know where to even begin to
- 58:04Speaker 2: start getting up.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Well, he's the first thing he's got to do is
- 58:06Speaker 1: get that left leg for you. And he's not gonna
- 58:09Speaker 1: yeah crawling thing. He was a monster. He was a
- 58:12Speaker 1: monster and retired undefeated.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's something to being on that Matt not
- 58:18Speaker 2: being able to move knowing that the clock is ticking,
- 58:21Speaker 2: and this is not how you picture this going.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Not only that, this is with the current rules where
- 58:27Speaker 1: I think there should be no stand ups. I think
- 58:30Speaker 1: the only time there should be a stand up is
- 58:31Speaker 1: when there's a foul.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I can completely agree with you. I hate it
- 58:35Speaker 2: when they stand people.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Up, even if it's boring. Yeah, I get it's boring.
- 58:38Speaker 1: But the guy can't get up and this guy's holding
- 58:40Speaker 1: him down, so he's winning. He's winning, So I know
- 58:43Speaker 1: he's not doing enough, but what does that mean he's biding
- 58:46Speaker 1: his time. You've got to let a guy have strategy,
- 58:49Speaker 1: like my Muhammad Ali did rope a dope against George Foreman.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Imagine if the referee is like, you've got to punch back.
- 58:55Speaker 1: If you don't punch back, no, he's got a strategy.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Strategy is let George Foreman himself out and then eventually
- 59:02Speaker 1: tee off on him. And that's what he did.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it stinks that referees can let the crowd get
- 59:07Speaker 2: in their head.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Well, it's the the organization wants action to the fans
- 59:12Speaker 1: want action. A lot of people disagree with me, and
- 59:15Speaker 1: I understand their point. I understand their point, especially if
- 59:17Speaker 1: you're a casual, A good get them up marm. You
- 59:21Speaker 1: don't want to fight, you want a hug boom, right,
- 59:25Speaker 1: So what so what? This is the sport? And if
- 59:27Speaker 1: that guy who's on top, who's biding his time and recovering,
- 59:31Speaker 1: then decides, Okay, now's the time let me start dropping
- 59:34Speaker 1: some bombs because I've recovered. Good. Well, he held the
- 59:38Speaker 1: position and he recovered his energy, and now he's winning. Like,
- 59:43Speaker 1: let him fucking fight. Let him fight, Get out of there,
- 59:46Speaker 1: Get out of there. There shouldn't be stand ups.
- 59:49Speaker 2: And I get it. The referee gets that cheer from
- 59:52Speaker 2: the crowd, you know if that's rewarding.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Sometimes when they stand fights up, I get excited.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I go yeah, yeah, here, But striker has a chance.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: But my position is still the same. I don't think
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: they should stand them up. I'm worse than that. I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: think they should start each round where they lost the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: last round.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Oh I love that, Yeah, that's great.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: So every round, why do you get to stand up?
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Why do you get that advantage? The striker gets of
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: standing up when you didn't earn it. Get back down there, Yeah,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: get back down there. Crucifix. Gwa, did you have to
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: start the round up in a crucifix? Yeah, that's how
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: the round ended. They look at the big screen, get
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: a freeze frame of the position, referee sets you in
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: the exact position and says, ready fight.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Yeah I love that.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck off. That's what the sport is supposed to be,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and sometimes it's going to be boring. Yeah, but that's
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: real though. At least it's real because there's been a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: lot of fights where the guy got taken down in
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the first round, starts out the second round and blast
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: the guy and knocks him out, and it's like, Okay,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: it's exciting to watch, but he didn't earn that position.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: He just got that position because the other guy survived
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the first round. And so it's like, it's one fight,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: it's not five fights, right, So I think it should
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: be one continuous fight with a one minute break in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: each round. Yeah.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: That'd be like if the team losing automatically got the
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: kickoff after halftime or something like that.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Yeah. And look, guaranteed, if I was running the UFC,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: you would probably go bankrupt.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: I'm not the right guy.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. I'd
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: be a terrible promoter. I'd be too honest about stuff,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and I'd want to give people fights that maybe they
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: weren't the most exciting fighters, but they were above the
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: other person in the rankings. I think the rankings should
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: be the whole reason why you make fights.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Sammy Zane won the Universal WWE Championship over this weekend
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: in a big pay per view.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I have no idea who that is, but I'm happy
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: for him.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Shocked Cody Rhodes, who was like a guaranteed win. I
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: wonder what happened rolled them up real quick?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Do you think maybe that was fixed?
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Well, it's very entertaining, very entertaining.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I'm sure it was. I just don't understand how you
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: go back and forth. Oh it's the best, I know
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you love it.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Well sometimes That's what I said about this White House card,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: by the way, is like there's nothing that could have
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: happened that they could have written. If it was written,
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: that would have made it more exciting. Right, it felt
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: real the whole time, and the fights that happened before
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: made it feel like anything could happen in that main event,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: like it just felt raw and real, but also storyline,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: which then when UFC is at its best like that,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: it's like the WWE. That's what's interesting. Of course it's
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: not as you know exactly, but it is.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: It was a special moment, you know, regardless of how
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you feel politically, and I understand it if you're if
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: you hate the Republicans and you hate the whole idea,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I get it. But just as a person who loves
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: a sport, it was a very unusual experience, very unusual,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: and just I think people have to just look at
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: some things that way. You know, some people have a
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: really hard time separating themselves politically because they're going, oh, no,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that the White House puts on this thing. There's all
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: this bad press because of the war, there's bad press
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: because of this and that, and they put on this
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: thing at the White House, and it's sort of like
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Maga washes everything, you know what I mean, Yeah, makes
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: everybody like them again, gives them positive press, which undeniable, undeniable,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: It gave them positive press. I mean, the amount of
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: people that have seen is nuts, you know. I think
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: just on paramount it's something like thirty something million now,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and you know, they were telling me that they thought
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: it was probably one hundred and fifty million people had
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: watched it in some form, which was you know, TikTok clips,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Instagram YouTube. That is a nutting number, man, And I
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: think Dana and Hunter they were thinking it could get
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: to like a billion people see it, which is just
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: nuts in some form you know, highlight reels clips. I
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: mean just the Gatechee fight alone, just the highlight reels.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: How many people watch those on Instagram and TikTok And
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: totally the awareness of the event, of the moment was
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: so huge. It was like nothing else, Like it didn't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: feel like any other event we had ever been. Like,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I was nervous before it started. Yeah, I could never
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: get nervous for you, UFC. I get excited, but I
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: was like legitimately nervous. I was like I was feeling like, oh,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: like this is crazy, Like we're on the White House lawn.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: The flyover is when it really hit.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, when they had all those jets together and
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: they're so close to each other. Yeah, like a manager
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: of one of those fucking clips into their wing and
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: spirals right into the ellips.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, crazy, what a spectacle.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Yeah, they would have definitely canceled the fights because think
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: they canceled the White House Correspondence dinner because of that
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: assaussination attack.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Oh you had a bunch of bangers on that I heard.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so annoying. I was more excited for that than
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: like anything.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: How they just cancel it? Why didn't they reschedule it?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Maybe they're gonna wait until the ballroom's finished, because that's
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the argument for the ballroom, that they could have it
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: at a place like that where it's completely secured. Yeah,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Kurt Masker thinks the whole thing's fake. Uh fakes attempts. Yeah,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: how that guy get in there? Well, I think some
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: people are just incompetent. There's incompetence, there's bad security, there's
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: people that don't do their job. There's also people that
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you didn't expect to be a problem and were a problem.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: And you're in a hotel.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: Also, the guy made it to the first level of
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: the first scanning of security. It's not like he made
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: it into the thing.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: But he did shoot somebody, right, I think he shot
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: one of the Secret Service agents in his bulletproof best Yeah,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: is that true? Jamie.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: I think so.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: See, there were so many stories online it's so hard
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to know what was true and what was not. But
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I think the guy was a teacher, like a substitute teacher. Nuts.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: It's all nuts, and it's.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Like, man, you didn't think this out and scheduled it
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: for July twenty fourth. Holl okay.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: The correspondence DINNERP Wow, it's.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: On this son. You might want to polish up some
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: of them bits.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be some new stuff.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: That tag some of them with some current events. Where
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: are they going to have it? Oh?
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Sorry, if they have it at the same spot, that's
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: not smart. New event held July twenty four.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Is that the Pentagon?
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: They might wait, they might wait to release that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not saying oh Waldolph, she'd meet Waldorf Astoria.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Oh okay, well I guarantee you they'll tighten that bitch
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: up a little bit.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I know. He was excited to do the jokes.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, no, he was. He was very pumped.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they were bangers. I ran him because the thing
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: has and I happened to be performing at the Kennedy
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Center that weekend. The next weekend, so I ran the jokes,
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: and I realized that I had Adam Ray as a
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: special guest that was on before me. He brought me
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: on stage, so I go, you know what, even I
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: wrote jokes for the President of the United States to
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: make fun of the press and everybody at the White
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: House Correspondence dinner. But I just realized, Adam's here, Adam,
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: you want to come out and read these in Trump's voice,
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: And so he was seeing the jokes for the first
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: time as reading him, and we had so much fun.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I didn't know he does a Trump, which doesn't surprise me.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I mean, his impressions are insane.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: He can do anything.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he can do anything.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: He didn't even he did. He was dabbling in a
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Biden the week that I hit him up to do
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Trump Biden, which I think is a fucking guy. I
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: think it's like forty million or seven some crazy amount.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: And again, just like the UFC, God only knows after clips.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: But it was a monumental comedy fucking moment having Shane
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: is tr right before the election, Adam is Biden right
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: before the election, right after their first debate, where Biden
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: was clearly fucking zonged and sleepy, and it just couldn't
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: compete at all, and so I hit up Adam via text.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: I'm like, do you have a Biden? He's like I
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: cover it for five seconds, and in my stand up
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: I'm like, uh, are you free on Monday to fly
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: to Austin and do Biden if I can get Shane
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: as Trump. And I remember telling Shane like, I'm like,
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: this is gonna be an interesting ask, but I you know,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: I'm just like, hey, Adam's got a Biden, and Shane's like,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: I have something to do on Monday. I'm canceling it.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I'm doing Trump. He immediately saw the brilliance. It was
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: just such a hot topic at the time, and my god,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: it was fucking crazy. There's clips that I see of
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: that episode, and I never rewatch kill Tony's or anything.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: I'll see clips sometimes and I literally go, oh my god,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: holy fucking shit. There's one part where Trump goes, how
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: many more retards are you gonna bring out here? Because
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: there been like two handicapped people on this show? All right,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: how many more retards you have come? As I'm pulling
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: a name out of the bucket in real time, I goes,
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: anything can happen, mister President. Let's see what the next
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: guy's like. And he comes out and he has like
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: these weird deformed penguin arms. Oh, and you see Shane
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: as Trump, and the crowd's dying because they see him first.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: And you see Shane as Trump looking go fuck, it's
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: just one of his His facial reactions to things are
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: like his greatest secret, fucking hilarious weapon. And when he's Trump,
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: it's even amplified. It's like, in my opinion, ten or
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: twenty percent funnier than even Shane is. I mean, I'm
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: sure he'd admit to this and know it because Trump
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: is just such an interesting, polarizing character, and his take
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: on him is so fucking funny it's psychotic.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: His impression is so good. It's the greatest Trump impression
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: of all time, because it's like, the jokes are so good.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Oh by far, he's so what's funny?
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Ja, So back it up a little bit.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Patch another fun appearance by Nicks.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: This is the best, all right, Tony? How many more
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: retarded guys? Yeah, anything, gonna asks, crowd is hungry for
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: more retarded guys. Frankly, I don't think we've seen enough
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: retarded guys. How about a retarded racist. Would you like
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: to see this?
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Next person could be one. I pulled it out of
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: the bucket. It is the killed Tony debut. I do
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: believe of Jacob Bar everybody Jacob Bar Oh well, who
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: oh my god? Okay here, okay, hold on, we're gonna
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: reset this, Jacob. What's funny is is Adam knows better
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: than anybody that you're not supposed to say anything after
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: the bucket pool comes up. So me grabbing the mic
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: out of his hand and putting it down is even
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: another layer of hilarious to all of us. It's like
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Biden's misbehaving. I don't know, did you see Shane's face
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: when he notices his hands?
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: This is it? Look? And then.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Jackie, oh yeah without a death plus plus.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Man, he's the great one.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: He's what people don't realize I mean, obviously, is that
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: he is that funny all the fucking time in the room,
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: every bar, every restaurant, every green room, every every stairway,
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: fucking anywhere. Everything. He I always compare it to Mike
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Tyson in his prime. He just hits harder and different
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: doing the smallest little things, even if it's a face.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: If somebody says something and he just like reacts to it.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: It's also always fun. He's a fun guy, like he
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: wants to have fun, Like even when he's cracking jokes,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: it's fun. Well, I know, he was very reluctant to
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: do the roast. You know, he's a little reluctant to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: even host that, Like I don't don't want to do
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: those things.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, but well everything is, you know, everything
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: could be something. He crushed so hard it caused a
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: real ruckus him and I endcapping that thing, you know
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: what I mean? Yea, if it was supposed to be
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: a you know, this roast of black excellence and me
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: and Shane are just fucking having the time of our lives.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: He got the who said it was a roast of
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: black excellence? You're just saying that because it was Kevin Hart.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Well yeah, that's that's like that was.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: It wasn't like explicitly stated or anything, right, because imagine
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: if you said we're gonna have a roast of white excellence.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Right exactly crazy.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's weird. You can and can't say, oh
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: yeah that was weird.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you know, yeah, that's a whole thing with
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: that I mean, you can't talk about this, but we
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: talk about that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Well, it's just weird what we accept, which like doesn't
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: bother me at all. But like Kane Velasquez when he
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: fought in the UFC, he stept brown pride tattooed on
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: his chest. Cool. His family came over from Mexico. They
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: literally walked here. Yeah, white pride not it's so popular,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: white pride on your chest, you know. Fucking Sean Strickland
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: just decided to get white pride and he posted a
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: picture on Instagram of him as a world champion with
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: white pride on his chest next to Kane Velasquez as
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: a world champion with brown pride on his chest, and
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: people would lose their fucking minds. Yes, and again not
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: saying that Shawn would ever put white pride on his chest.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: He would. No, he would. I follow him tattoos, I
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: follow him on Twitter.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: He would. He's a wild boy. He even he showed up.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: He showed up at the UFC, even though he was banned.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: He showed up and the arrested him.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, they kicked him out.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: He's the world champion. There's a UFC event at the
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: White House at the time before justin won he was
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: the only American world champion and then like you can't come, yeah,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: because you talk too much about Israel. He's a wild boy,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: But that's wild that your criticism about Israel is what
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: keeps you from going to the White House as a
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: world champion. In a world title fights at the White House, Yeah,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: like you were think you would want to celebrate the
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: American male world champion. I think he said some other
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: stuff too though, some Epstein stuff there. Yeah, he's a
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: wild boy.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I told him when he retires from fighting, he onould
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: do a podcast, and he was like, you know, I
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: I seeing these guys doing these streamers and like you
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: don't have to do that. You don't have to do
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it that way. He's like, I couldn't do that just
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: sit there every day and talk to people for I
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: So I'd lose my fucking mind. I'm like, right, you
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: don't have to do that, just your opinions on things.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: So he's an awesome podcast guest, you know, like he
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: could totally totally do that, just talk about stuff. And
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: also Sean when he lets the whole shtick down and
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: just gives you his opinions on things. Very smart guy. Yeah,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: he's not stupid at all, and he would get better
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: at it, you know, as he did it more. He
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: easily could do a podcast.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he's entertaining as fuck.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I just can't believe they kicked him out of the
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: White House and that is they kicked him out of
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: the ellipse that area there's I think there's a video
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: of it, so he can find the video of it.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: He's like, sorry, guys, like they got like fucking six
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: six cops and bulletproof vest. Yeah.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: I think there was like eighty five thousand people there,
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: So it's funny that they're like that one the champion.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: It's just he wasn't supposed to be there. He's banned,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: he was not invited or whatever. But even if you're
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: not invited, shouldn't you be able to go to the
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: fan area if you're the world champion, if you want
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: to be that wild with no security. And there's video
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: of him from the first night, from the Knight of
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: the Wigns where they found out that he was there.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: It's amazing because he was wearing a hoodie the entire
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: time and someone told him he's got to take off
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: the hoodie. And he's like, I can't listen, it's gonna
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: be a problem. And as soon as he takes off
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: the hoodie, every much fuck drunk. And then he's just
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: surrounded by bros. Hilarious, just getting hugged to death. He
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: asked some dude, some dude asked him to like kick him, So,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: sean leg kick some kid. Crazy, We're a champion, fucking
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: kick it, some kid? What is this world coming to?
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: It's him? Is it? Is there? Audio? This is crazy?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: I like that we have some entertaining American. Oh, he's
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: the most entertaining that Josh hoke it hocket hoke it
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: hoke it. Yeah, my god, he is.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: That was what was hilarious was people were so upset
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: that he said Michelle Obama's a man at the White House.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: It's like that's what he's doing. He's doing it on purpose.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Like he's literally wearing an American flag bandana. He comes
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: out to a Hulk Hogan song, he's wearing sunglasses. Yeah
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: it's not appropriate, you're right, yeah, right. But he said
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: the exact same thing when I interviewed him somewhere else. Yeah,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: he said, I'm pretty sure. He said, Michelle Obama is
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: a man like last time I interviewed him.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: That's what I heard is that it's not his first
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: rodeo at the Michelle Obamas.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Man, that's how he ends his interviews.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Hilarious.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: He's trying to get people to talk about him. Yep,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you know it's the whole thing is so crazy. But
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: all of it would be nothing if he couldn't fight exactly.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: That's what That's where it's real exciting is the pre
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: fight stuff. I mean, the post fight interview pretty polarizing,
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: op because that was the news. But if you for
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: the real fans paying attention, you didn't get to see
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: him do that. Did I send it to you? The
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: kill Tony minute that he did at the press card, it,
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: oh my god, so funny because he's like purposefully bombing.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: So he's literally doing a joke. He says, you guys
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: know Tony Hinchcliff, I'm gonna do my kill Tony minute.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: And he's purposefully like bombing. It's corny, purposeful, bad jokes
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: and he's going, man, tough crowd, all right, let me
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: let me try this one. And it's like literally being
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: hilarious by strategically trying to be funny. But not being funny.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: You could tell that he was planning on nobody laughing,
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: but that it's set up punch and he's just fucking trying.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: He's just trying to entertain, which is.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Trolling, which controlling? He's getting attention and then the most
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: important thing, he can fight. Yeah, that dude's good. He's
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: fucking good man. He's fast as shit for a heavyweight.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: He's very light on his feet, fastest shit, fast hands.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so fun to watch.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: And you know what's interesting is he talked a lot
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: of shit about Alex Pereira, and you know, I want
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: a shama on your mama or all that crazy shit.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: Pereira losing to Cyril gone. If Pereira decides to fight again,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I don't know if he's gonna fight again. He might
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: be done. I think he said he might be done,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: but I mean a lot of fighters say that after
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: a fight, and especially after a loss. Yeah, let him
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: sit around for a while. Then they come up with
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: he's not done, the backup, the brinks truck. Get him
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: versus Josh hokh God as a co main event on
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: a fucking bang in New Year's Eve card.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: Oh, let's go hok It'll be making fun of his
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: head dress and his face making.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: It would be insane. It would be insane. But you know,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: the thing is hok, it's got to deal with that guy.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: That's a different guy, that's not Derek Lewis. I mean,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: if he continues to fight heavyweight, it is interesting watching
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: a guy who's been so dominant at eighty five and
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: it two oh five with that all that extra weight on.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I don't know if that necessarily was the right move,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: you know. I mean I think like some weight is
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: probably good, but maybe even twenty pounds lighter, like maybe
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: two thirty something, maybe that would be a better weight
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: if he were want to fight at heavyweight, because it
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: seems like he was carrying I mean, just you ever
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: work out with a weight vest on. Yeah, it's crazy, Yeah,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: like a twenty five pound weight vest It's nuts, how
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: much harder everything is. So you got to realize he
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: had fought at one eighty five and he fought at
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: two oh five. That was what he weighed in at.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: But let's be honest, at one eighty five, I think
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: he probably weighed two twenty something to twenty six. I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: think it was fight night, which is nuts. It's forty
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: pounds difference, and at two oh five, he probably got
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: into the two thirties, like two thirty five, two thirty six,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: something like that, but still was not didn't look like
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: he looked at two fifty one fifty one. He looked
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: like he was carrying unnecessary weight, a little bit of
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: it at least. And if he was just like twenty
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: pounds lighter, he would still have that speed and movement.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: But he's always had crazy knockout power. It might be
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: a better weight for it. It just seemed like it
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: was a lot of weight yet on him, you know.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: And it all went to his ass.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: His ass was giant, fat ass, big fat ass.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: You know me. You know, that's all I'm looking at.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: That's why I watch UFC, and uh yeah, it was
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: all there. It's like a backpack.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Well, that's where all the power comes from. You know,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: when you're pushing him off your feet, and you know,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you're pushing off those fucking quads and pushing into those
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: glutes and then torquing that body the way he does.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: Ferocious power, dude, But damn that Cyril Gon's good.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: Whoa yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Crazy so good dude, And he's in his prime right now,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Cyril Gun is like really coming into his own. There's
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: no heavyweight like him, No one moves like him.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say extremely accurate for a heavyweight, not.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Just accurate, agile, because we were talking about this the other day,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: that basketball is a great player used to start if
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: you're a big athlete and you want to learn combat sports,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: especially striking, because think about how many direction changes basketball
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: players take where they're always kind of doing that, They're
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: always spinning and moving. It's a series of pliometrics. It's
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: a series of hops and jumps like Jordan's jump. The
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: imagine of Jordan had a flying knee right right, He's
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: hit you with a flying knee for fourteen feet away?
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: What you what's that basket?
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: It's interesting because, oh, Cyril Guns.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so he started out playing basketball.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Least where I come from. Basketball season in foot wrestling
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: season all right at the same time. So I wonder
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: what he was doing back then.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Well he's in France, right, So France is not a
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: wrestling in their high school or in their college, you know.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: And he learned wrestling after he had become a really
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: elite world class Multai fighter. So he's got the grappling
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: has come up and big ways. Like his grappling's much
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: better than it used to be. But really primarily he's
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: a striker. And when John fought him, like John just
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: got him to the ground and submitted him like quickly.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: It's like the difference I think in that fight was
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: kind of a big ass wake up call. And Francis
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: beat him too. So Francis beat him by just Francis
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: just got a hold of him and most of the
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: fight was on the ground, a giant chunk of it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: because Francis fought that fight with a blown out ACL. Wow,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: defended his world title with a blown out ACL. I
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: had big ass knee pads on. I know, Wobbly asked me.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: But that's how dangerous Francis is. Yeah, he could just
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: win it with grappling. It's a shame that he's on
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: in the UFC. It's a real shame, yeah, because like
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that whole thing was what drove everyone crazy about boxing.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: You know, it was really hard to get these guys together,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you know, and this was the whole idea why everybody
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: was excited about what Riodd Season was doing and Turkey
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: al Shaikh and you know, although people that put together
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: these big ass fights like Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: and the last one they just did Rico Verhoov and Usik,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Like they're putting together these big, crazy fights like that
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: was the thing that drove everybody nuts about boxing, and
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: that's what drives everybody nuts about MMA. The one thing
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: is it's the heavyweight division. The fact that the best heavyweight,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: or at least the guy who was the lineal heavyweight
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: champion in the world isn't even fighting for the UFC.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: That's crazy. It's crazy.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, who knows, maybe one day, right, Nope, I don't
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: think so.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I tried to make it happen. I think we need
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: to get those dues together. Look at that. Look at
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: here Gone Dunking.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I know. See that kind of ability to throw your
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: body around like that is so huge as a striker.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: Because a lot of those guys are plotting, you know,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: they're plotters. They just kind of like wobble through. I
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: think what they need to do is get Francis and
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: the UFC together. They all do mushrooms, yeah, just like
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: make friends. Yeah, because he doesn't have much time left.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I think Francis is thirty eight? Is that how old
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: he is? I think he's thirty eight, which is different
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: as a heavyweight. Heavyweights turns forty in September. WHOA how
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: much time left? Right? Forty? You can do. But unless
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: you're Bernard Hopkins, fighting at a world class level in
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: your forties kind of unheard of. I remember when when Bernard
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: Hopkins fought Kelly Pavlick, A lot of people did not
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: think that he had a chance.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, very clearly.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: He outboxed the fuck out of kill man.
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: He looks so good, truly the executioner.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: I want to say he was in his forties when
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: that happened. I think, so how old was Bernard Hopkins
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: when he fought Kelly pablic He fought at a world
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: class level until he's fifty years old? Yeah, it's nuts, Yeah, nuts.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: We were all watching that one, everybody from Youngstown going
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: all right, this is that we're going to get back
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: on the right path, because it was after his loss
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: to Marguerite. Is that right? He's the guy that got
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: caught with the cement in his gloves against the one guy,
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: marc Antonio Margarito.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: I do forty three? Wow, he was forty three years old.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Wow, crazy six year old.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Cray, especially at one hundred and seventy pounds, Like nobody
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: thinks at that weight that you you can be competitive
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: at a world class level into your forties most of
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: the time, Like people just write you off on the number. Yeah,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: they don't care what you look like. Like, he's not
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: gonna be able to do it.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: Was he the first one to beat Kelly? Is that
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: what I just saw? Wow? Okay, So he lost to him,
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: and that's where shit started to get fucked up because
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: then he went on a bad run after that.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: Well, when you got beat up like that, yeah, it's
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: just tough on the brain, dude. There's only so many
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: of them fights that you could take where you get
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: really beat up like that, but not put it on him.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: You know, There's been a bunch of fights where a
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: fight got beat up really badly and then they were
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: never the same again. Meldrick Taylor versus Jolil says as Chavez,
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: that's a great example. Chavez just put it on him
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: and dropped him in the final moments of the round,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: and then Richard Steele stopped it. And it was like
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: this crazy fucking controversy because he stopped the fight with
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: like one second to go in a fight that Melderic
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: was ahead on the scorecards. But the real, the real
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: story of that fight was that the damage that Chavez
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: had put on Meldrick Melgrick was never the same again.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: Pablic actually won his next two fights and then had
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: a bad staff infection problem.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Oh wow. So after he beat Sergio So he was
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: set to fight Paul Williams, but to major staff infection
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: and allergic reaction to some antibiotics nearly killed him. WHOA.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: He eventually was able to fight again against light middleweight
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: champions Sergio Martinez.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: Oh, Sergio Martine beat him.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Martinez beat he beat him. He Martinez beat him. But yeah,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: uh unanimous twelve round decision. Surgeon Martinez was a bad
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: motherfucker too, was Yeah. In late rounds Martinez came up. Yeah,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: it's it's just a crazy sport man. You only have
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: so many wars in you. There's only so many times
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: you could do that. And the really clever guys are
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: the guys who just don't get hit much.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: That's been done a my Donna rabbit hole recently. Oh
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: my god, that fucking guy's a freak.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Oh He's an animal. What a career, He's an animal.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Unbelievable. He fought everybody.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: He was one of the few guys to really rock
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Floyd made with him. Yeah, knocked his tooth out and
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: wore his tooth around a chain. Oh I love that. Yeah,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: he got Floyd's tooth and wore it as a piece
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: of See if you can find the tooth that my
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: donna had.
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, that is so cool.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: How hilarious is that?
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: He had his tooth put on a fuck.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: A necklace.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Wow, that's boy. What a square jawed motherfucker that guy is.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Huh Look that jaw. That guy looks like he could
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: hit him with a baseball bat. He was a tough dude.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Insame career. I think he fought everybody.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: The Broner fight too. He dropped Broner. Heard that was
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: when Broner was in his prime. Yeah, he's a beast.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: It's a It's a hard ass fucking sport, any combat sport.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: It is a hard way to make a living.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: Profitable.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: Do you see all the stuff that's going on with Floyd?
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Yeah? I can't wrap my head around it. I don't
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: understand how someone makes that much money and doesn't pay
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: taxes or whatever.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, well I could tell you how you run out
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: of money. Yeah, you know, you you spend so much
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: money on things.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: You don't do. You think he has a business manager.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: Maybe he wasn't looking out for his best interest.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Just you gotta put somebody in charge of that amount
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: of money.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: You would think, you would think seven hundred and fifty
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: million dollars would last you a while. Yeah, he's I.
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: Mean, he's not even fifty to give one guy file.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: Yeah, put them away. But the thing is, it's like
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: that lifestyle. His lifestyle was all about showing you his wealth,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: his lifestyle. He's forty nine. I imagine making seven hundred
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: and fifty million dollars and you're forty nine, you're broke.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: Oh god, that's crazy. But Tyson talks openly about how
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: we spent hundreds of millions of dollars, just went through it.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: You know, if you're living that life where you're just
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: wearing diamonds everywhere and you're buying crazy watches, and you know,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Floyd does these things you're seeing. Way he'll go into
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: a hotel room when he's traveling and he talks about
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: like the watches that he brought, and so he opens
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: up suitcases with millions of dollars and watches. He just
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: open suitcase. You ever seen these? Find them because they're
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: kind of hilarious.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: He's just trying to figure out which one he one
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: st were and brings them all with them.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: Yeah, just showing off and just showing off that he's
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: got two suitcases filled with diamond and crusted protect Philips
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: and you know the most high end of watches. Look
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: at this. See if you do. You have the clip
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: here it is. Let me put some volume on this.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Look at this.
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: I'm always in my fucking business, worried about what I'm doing,
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: what Floyd is doing, what Floyd ain't doing, what.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: I do, got what I don't got. Just know I'm
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: gonna stand in my lane.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: I ain't gonna fuck with nobody, and I don't want
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: nobody fucking with me.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: If I go on vacation, my fault.
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: When I go on vacation for thirty days, I take
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: thirty watches with me.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Look at this, did you know what? You know?
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: What?
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: What's crazy is this?
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: If we add ten more days, I take ten more watches.
- 1:31:56Speaker 5: But then I say fuck it. If I want to
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: bring out the one and only. You're not bring out
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: the watch that costs eighteen million. Oh jesus, matter of fact,
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: you know what I'm gonna do for you, motherfucking hates today.
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna go fuck on fifty thousand dollars because I
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: got shit else to do. Money made, Oh motherfucking day.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: You know that's that's the problem, So that you can
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: only do for so long. Yeah, So if you have
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: one eighteen million dollar watch.
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: Like, okay, let's get crazy.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: Let's not get crazy. You wanted to get it, you
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: got it. You have seven hundred and fifty million dollars.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: You have one eighteen million dollar watch. You can't have
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: eighteen watches that cost millions of dollars, like, because you're
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: gonna need more, You're gonna keep wanting to buy more.
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: You're gonna keep You're gonna run out of money. How
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: many rolls royces do you have? Okay? Each one of
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: those is a half a million dollars. You have four
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: or five of them? I mean ferraris, you got ten ferraris? Okay?
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: What some of those ferraris are almost a million dollars?
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: You have ten almost a million dollar cars okay, So
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: justin watches and cars alone, we're looking at fifty sixty million, okay,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: and then you have to make one hundred and twenty
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: plus to actually have sixty. I don't know if he's
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: leasing them. I don't know how he's financing things. I
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: don't know, but I just.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: Love to know the re make that money back by
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: he can make the money that he needs back by
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: literally making a superdocumentary about how he spent it. Have
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: you ever seen that thirty for thirty broke about how
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: the NFL players all spent their money? No, Well, it's unbelievable,
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: one of the easiest watches ever, and like it it's
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: it's got to be. Thirty for thirty's like biggest production ever,
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: Like it's everywhere, it's it's just huge. And yeah, who
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: the hell doesn't want to know about that?
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: And I'm waiting on that Nicholas Cage doc that I
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: probably nobody's making either where it's like because he's a
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: different version of that. You know about this he went broke?
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but then he made it back again.
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he works his ass off, so he went
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: on a he's on a terror. He's just making movies.
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: Left and right, and uh yeah.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: He faced severe financial struggles in the late two thousands,
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: going from one hundred and fifty million dollar fortune to
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: be in six million in debt whoe. He never officially
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: filed for bankruptcy, but he cleared his death by relentlessly
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: taking on movie roles, including direct to video films, and
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: selling off extensive real estate and assets.
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: I guess he bought like a lot of t rex skulls,
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: Like he spent his money on like crazy things. He
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: didn't just go watches in cars. He would find crazy
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: pieces of art and like old historical things.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I think, well, he was a movie star from way back.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: You got to realize, like what was his first film.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: I think his first film was like nineteen eighty or something. Yeah,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: I remember him being a movie star when I was
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: in high school. Yeah, that's a lot of time of
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: being in that bizarro Hollywood bubble, getting your brain cooked
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: by fame.
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he's one of those you can watch him do anythings,
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: like one of those freaks where even though people will say,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: I don't like this Nicholas Cage thing, I don't like
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: that from.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: An article about what he spent his money on four
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: and fifty five thousand dollars for two snakes. Okay, so
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: it was two hundred and seventy six thousand dollars in
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: two thousand and five, the equivalent of four hundred and
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: fifty five thousand dollars today thanks inflation. How crazy is that?
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: What's the think about that? Two hundred and seventy five
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: thousand dollars in two thousand and five is four hundred
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: and fifty five thousand dollars today? Damn? How fun is inflation? Wow?
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: What was Nicholas Cage's first movie officially?
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: Yeah, you just.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Had crazy movie with him and raising Arizona to be
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: like the first big hit, right, That was a big one.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: That was a big one.
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: His new ones are good too, these wackies filmography.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: If you go all the way back nineteen eighty two,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Valley Girls, what I was
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: thinking of? That was in eighty three? Yeah, credit is
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Nicholas Coppola. That's before he changed his name because he
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: didn't want to be connected to what is his uncle,
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Francis Ford Coppola? Is that what it is? Valley Girl?
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: So Valley Girl was eighty three. So I was in
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: high school Dude, Arizona married those big two big those
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: were huge movies. Dude, Raising Arizona is so fucking funny.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: I saw that like a year ago. I forgot, I
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: forgot how funny it was. Remember ty kaw or a
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: text Cob was in there, the boxer with the flat nose,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: who fought Larry Holmes. He did a bunch of movies. Yeah, big,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: big fucking corn fed white guy.
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, he's great.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: It's a Coen Brothers movie, right, Raising Arizona is. Those
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: guys might be the goats. They might be the goats
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: of commedy. They're necessarily Brothers. Yep, no doubt, how many amazing,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: hilarious fucking movies and the Coen Brothers was. They were
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: always so out there. Everything's so out there. Some of
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: their films are just like, what the fuck are you
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: guys doing? Like King was king Pin Fairley Brothers. Yes,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: those guys toot a doubt.
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: Fuck that was good, unbelievable.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Fuck, that's a funny movie, so fucking great, so funny.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: The scene where he's throwing up in the toilet when
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: she's talking about him eeting her to pay his.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: Rent, Oh my god, oh wood, these range is incredible.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: You know what I heard about that movie that they
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: had primed all the actors to get really excited when
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Bill Murray throws three strikes because he had to throw
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: three strikes in a row, and so they said, this
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: might take a while, so we're gonna really need your enthusiasm.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: And then Bill Murray actually threw three strikes in a
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: row first attempt, and everybody went crazy, like for real,
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: because they were you know, like they were said, this
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: is not gonna happen this way, but when he actually
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: did it, everybody went fucking bananas nuts. Fuck. Such a
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: good movie. I love it.
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: Dude, Wood he's a freak bro since he's moved here
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: and goes to kill Tony and like we hang out
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: and stuff only after like being making friends with him,
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: Like I knew he did a lot of great stuff,
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: but he sneaks up in so many great things. It's insane.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: He's in fucking what is the Coen Brothers one with
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: the not There Will be Blood? It was made at
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: the same time with Avier Bardem. Oh my god, how
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: am I blanking on this? It's a no Country for
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: old men?
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: Oh that's right.
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: Now he's in it and he's not even They don't
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: even like promote him on that or anything. He just
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: comes in the movie halfway through with all these other
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: fucking greats and is crushing.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: It's hard to think that that's a Coen Brothers movie.
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: The People versus Larry Flint. He's a freak of nature.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: Fucking well, the.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: Thing that you sent the other day with him when
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: he's playing LBJ.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's so good. Randomly stumbled across that one.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I'll fall asleep to this woody as LBJ.
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: And it's one of those movies that fucking kept me
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: awake because it was so goddamn gut mesmerizing.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: Super nice guy too, like easy to hang out with.
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, the best, very chill with everybody, just
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: hangs out when he's in the green room, it's just
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: like one of us. Yeah, normal, Yeah, it's just hard
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: to do. And you've been famous that long. Just be cool. Yeah.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: But also, he doesn't have a phone. You get a
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: hold of him, you gotta get go through his wife
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: to get a hold of him. He's smart, just insulates
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: him from himself from all the nonsense, brilliant way. But
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: I think when you get to like that level, you
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: kind of have to, you'll go crazy.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, he has this fun He likes laughing,
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: sipping his tequila, smoking his weed. He's got it all
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: figured out, grows his own weed, makes his own tequila,
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: eats live food or whatever, and just la and enjoys life.
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: It's perfect.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nice to know that people can make it
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: through that crazy maze. And you know, you could either
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: go nuts and buy Tyrannosaurus rex calls, or you could
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: just completely disconnect from it all and just be yourself,
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: just keep keep killing it. I know him and McConaughey
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: have a TV show that's coming out where they played brothers.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Right, yeah, I think it's on Apple TV, coming out soon.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: So what's it been like? Like the weirdness, the post
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: roast weirdness.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: I'm always surprised by these things. I'm always surprised that
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: they last so long that anybody's talking about it. It's
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: so bizarre. I was surprised with the Pang Dang thing.
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: I was surprised at the Trump thing, and this one
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: is really rising because with other ones, they are like, ah,
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: there's a time and a place for jokes like that
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: or this or that or whatever, and this is the
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: time and the place for it is like the roast
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: of Kevin Hart. You know, I'm gonna go for it. Yeah,
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: and we roasted Kevin.
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: I did a fucking George Floyd joke in the uh
- 1:41:21Speaker 2: at the Tom Brady roast, and I did a who's
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: the white guy that shot people? Ah, it's the same
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: fan base as a God damn it the kid that
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: shot people up and wherever white the white guy shot
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: a couple of people, had a gun at a thing
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: that made it look like it was black people, but
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: it was actually white people that he shot that were
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: shooting at him or had guns. What's his name has
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: the I have no idea who you David Lucas his
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: friends with him brought him to the ritten that's it.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: That's it, Kyle rittenhouse joke. I did this and then
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: one people are offended or something.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: And yeah, if you just watch that clip on my dismount,
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: it's a crazy clip. But if you watch the entire
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: flow of the roast set, it's just one last departing joke.
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: Which that's my thing. Man, It's like I knew earthquake
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: would be standing up on his feet like he was
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: halfway through my set.
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: You know there's standing o's that are happening during my
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: actual roast, and on this one because there were so
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: many people on it. It was such a long, big roast.
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: You know, they set you to an allotted time. So
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, I'm going to do something I don't
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: normally do and blast off more jokes per minute than
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: I normally do. Instead of milking it and getting applause
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: breaks and things like that, I'm just going to create
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: a bang bang bang bang bang final stand up things.
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: You know, what's funny is that I have something that's
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: supposed to offend everybody, Like, I don't want you to
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: like one hundred percent of any of my jokes. I'm
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: not that guy. I'm heelish. I'm a bad guys exactly.
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: So what's funny Because people got offended about the George
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: Floyd thing, and people a lot of people said, yeah, well,
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Pete Davidson did a Charlie Kirk joke, and they're comparing
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: these things from two different spectrums. But what they didn't
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: mention is that I did a Charlie Kirk joke in
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: my set, So fuck them, fuck them, fuck them, fuck them.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: You know what, everybody gets them.
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: Everybody gets it is always get some jokes. Everybody does.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: I said that Kevin has uh what quite the fan base.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: He has more gunfire at his merch table than Charlie
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: Kirk or whatever. And so you know, for them to
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: for people to nitpick that joke and be offended, and
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: it's funny because it was a lot of a lot
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: of comedians, a lot of black comedians were like, I'm
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: upset about this. You know, they made their videos which
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: is just hilarious because they're not on the roast. They're
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: not in attendance at the roast.
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: You saw Tiffany Hardish.
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: That was the best one. Nobody handled it better than her.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: Fine Tiffany Hattish getting asked questions, was it a TMZ thing?
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: Yeah about the roast because she handled it so perfect.
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: They're trying to they were trying to be everybody, of course, everybody,
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: even Cheryl Underwood, who handled it all like a champ.
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: We made friends before at a Netflix brunch that week
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: that was for that festival.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Well, dud I told you about Cheryl.
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: Yeah, she's the ship.
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: She's awesome. I worked with Cheryl in like the early
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: two thousands. I think it was in Montreal. I told
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: you she's a monster. Yeah, she goes stitch for a
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: person just clutching her purse on stitch and murdered. Oh yeah,
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: here's Elide Tiffany. See, Rollie looked so good.
- 1:44:54Speaker 6: You have like thirty seconds to chat really quick.
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:44:56Speaker 6: So talking about Kevin Hart.
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: Roast right, Yes, it was so much fun.
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: Lonnie Love didn't think so. Bonnie Love was like, you
- 1:45:02Speaker 6: know what, it's exhausting. It's actually specifically about the George
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: Floyd joke.
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: What are you thinking? Is it just comedy?
- 1:45:09Speaker 6: Should they have been a little less?
- 1:45:12Speaker 7: I think it should have been shorter. The show was
- 1:45:14Speaker 7: too long, Okay, I mean I was sitting there the
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: whole time. I had to pee something. I didn't hear
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: the George Floyd joke because I had to peece so bad.
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: I was a glorified a seat filler that I was tired.
- 1:45:26Speaker 6: Well also, I mean Lennie and other people were like, oh,
- 1:45:28Speaker 6: maybe it was a little too racially motivated. What do
- 1:45:32Speaker 6: you think as far as like the jokes, Is this
- 1:45:34Speaker 6: just comedy or are people taking it too seriously?
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: Is this all comedians saying it that wasn't invited.
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: That's the fucking comedian. Tiffany hatters bro That was her.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: Version of the Sean O'Malley walk off case.
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: I love it. I love it, man. You never forget
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: those people that actually are answering honestly and real well
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: real comment. And again it's the same thing for one
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: hundred percent. She's not only is it a fun walk
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: off home run, but she's also one hundred percent correct.
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: There's nobody that was there that was offended. There was
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: no ruckus there. It's just like everything else where. You
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: leave and you go, huh, this thing's this thing's kind
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: of crazily taking off. It seems a lot of people
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: are talking about that one joke at the end. It's
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: so weird.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: Well, we live in an outrage culture, and an outrage
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: there's a there's money in outrage, there's engagement in outrage.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: Outrage is the it's the commodity that everybody wants. They
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: want to be outraged and they want to be right.
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: And if you're outraged and you've got a good point,
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: you just ride that fucking thing for as much juice
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: as you can get out of it and then you
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: move on to the next thing. What are you mad at? Now?
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: You know, there's never in any of these things, there's
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: never a moment where I'm like, Okay, this could cause
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: a problem. It was. It's never been that way. While
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: that's it was high fives, high fives and laughter. After
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: my three pm set in a half filled Madison Square
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: garden waiting for the eight PM arrival of Trump to speak, I'm,
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: you know, on a thirty four person lineup. Everyone was thrilled.
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: Way to get the crowd going. I mean, it's they're
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: just getting the party started. The lights were up like
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: it obviously wasn't the best position for me on that lineup,
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: but the same exact thing. And then it's like a
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: little bit later you realize like, oh, they're making a
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: news story about the Puerto Rico joke about things so
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: interesting to be a problem.
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have never told you to do that
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: joke during that, but I told you that was gonna
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: be a problem in your ad.
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: It wasn't supposed to be in my original thing for that.
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: It was the last second filler because they gave me
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: more time than everybody. It was a very bizarre thing.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: They gave me more time for a bizarre thing, and.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: The idea that you would go on after someone like
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: who went on before you, Steven Miller.
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: No, not he was. It was the national anthem with
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: the guy painting a painting a thing. Actually no, he
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: went on after me right after national anthem.
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: But someone had some kind of like raw ras speech.
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: I wish, I wish there was that all came like
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: away after me, which is crazy. They just had me
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: on the wrong position on the thing, and uh, you.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: Should only do stand up totally.
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: Doing stand up totally totally, it doesn't work totally.
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: It's like, but you got to say, but then again
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: it did.
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: It did work in house the place is it miked
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: for stand up comedy or lit for stand up on
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: anything like it? Laughing they were having a good old time.
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: Well, they're probably happy that something wasn't stiff and boring, right,
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: taxes and fucking right.
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: I mean, Rudy Giuliani went on like three hours after me.
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a nuts all day. It was a
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: super long thing. My point being is that it always
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: surprises me that I'm the news even though I'm because
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: if someone else said it, if it was a politician
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: that did it, or someone else, someone high up in
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: the administration. That would make sense. Same thing with the
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: roast if it was a clean comedian, right, if Nate
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: Bargatzi or Jim Gaffigan were on it and they said
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: that that's crazy me saying it, that's normal.
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: They don't know that though. See. The thing is, it's
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: like you've achieved a level of fame that like really
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: snuck up on people over the last couple of years.
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: You know, it's because the rise of kill Tony has
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: been completely organic, Like there's been no promotion of kill
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: Tony that made it become what it is. It's all
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: just people sharing it on YouTube, sharing it online. That's
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: all it is clips and these moments, you know, and
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: then you know obviously the Shane moments and all the
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: Kyle Dunn again, it's been just so many amazing moments.
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: This is a good show. It came organically, and then
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: you got to this point over the last couple of
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: years are like, oh, we got a pay attention to
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: this fucking guy. And then and then after they started
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: attacking you from the White House thing or the Madison
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: Square Garden thing rather which is twenty twenty four, then
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: it was on. Then it's on like Donkey Kong, right,
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: So that's two years later. So now you're a guy
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: that they go to like to get mad at, and
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: there's a bunch of people like that online that that's
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: their business, their businesses. People are mad at them. They
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: have hot takes, people are mad at them. Yeah, I
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: mean that's so you're you've fallen into that category. And
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: so there's gonna be people that genuinely don't like what
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: you did and don't like you. And then there's gonna
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: be people that are just using it as a commodity.
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: They're just using it as outrage, which is part of
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: what the game is. You know, this is what they
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: do and their engagement, you know fucking game that they play,
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: and it's kind of what we do in the joke game.
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: You know. You get engagement, you get people to laugh,
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: you say outrageous things that you don't even really mean,
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: but this's because it's a funny thing to say. It's
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: just like I always say, Bob Marley didn't shoot the sheriff,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: you know that, right, right, It's like just jokes, Like
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: when you say inappropriate shit on purpose, and that is
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: like everybody used to know that, like Louis c. K
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: was a very left wing progressive guy when he was
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: saying really fucked up things that he didn't mean on
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: purpose because they were funny. Yeah, Like that was what
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: he did, and everybody was fine with it until somewhere
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: around it seems like it was like twenty sixteen, two thousand,
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: like it started to turn a corner where it became
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: like people are starting to take these things as statements
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: rather than as comedy material, and they started trying to
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: pretend that the person really means this. Like that's where
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: it got crazy. And that happened around the time where
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: social media really came into prominence, because before that there
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: was no real avenue to do that. There's no real
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: avenue to pretend you were really deeply upset. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: I'm sure there's some people that were upset, but there's
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: also a lot of people that are just ill. They're
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: online all the time on these social media apps, just
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: arguing and spitting out venom and yelling at people, and
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: they yell at them. It's like they're in hell all
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: day long, and anytime something comes along they could be
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: upset at They got it. They have to have their take.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: They have to have that hot take. Yeah, and if
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: their hot take gets engagement, they're all looking at their likes,
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: then they just start re engaging with that subject and
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: going back on it. And this is the real problem. Okay,
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: good luck with that. That's bad for your head, kid, right, exactly,
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: very bad for your head. All those people that I
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: know that are like, especially comics that are doing it.
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: The comics that are doing it, almost all of them
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: don't have good careers, no, all of them, right, none
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: of them have like impressive careers, especially compared to their
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: contemporaries that are doing well. And then on top of it,
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: they're all mentally ill. They're all people that are fucking
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: filled up with pharmaceuticals and they're going to therapy. They're
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: they're literally mentally ill, and they're online talking about fascists, right,
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: you know, like it's get your shit together, No one,
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: your opinion is not that valuable to people because they
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: know that you're fucked up. Do you not understand that? Right?
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: Like the way you view the world is it's not
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: a healthy, balanced perspective, Like you're viewing the world in
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: this like mentally ill lens.
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: Well, the whole online thing doesn't It doesn't even convert
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: to sold tickets or a bigger thing. It's such a
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: temporary drug for them to get to fill this void
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: of what they're not doing right.
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: It doesn't convert to them people wanting to go see them.
- 1:53:34Speaker 5: No.
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: I mean some people maybe they get like a little
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: juice out of it, but it's not enough because you're
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: also opening the door if you do become popular. You
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: have to understand that. If you've been spitt and hate
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: at people for a decade and then you become popular,
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: boy that hates coming your way, oh yeah, it's coming
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: your way, you know. And I mean, this is one
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: of the things that I said after the Mencia stuff.
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: I said, even though I think it was the right
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: thing to do, I wouldn't do it again because it's
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: just too much. It is too much. You just you
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: create all you just feel the darkness of it, all
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: the negative. It's all negative. It's all negative. Even though
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: it had to be done because you've got this guy
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: that would it showed me how completely absent of morals
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: and ethics the business is completely absent. They knew what
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: he was doing and they did not care. They didn't
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: care because they were profiting from it. This is the
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: conversation that I have with my agent when they were
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: dumping me. I told them, I go, you're making a
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: mistake right now. It's going to affect the rest of
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: your life. You have to understand the choice that you're making.
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: You're choosing to align with someone who in any other industry,
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: that person would be in jail if that person was
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: And also if this was in literature or if this
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: was in music, they would be sued into high heaven.
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: Like there's songs that like they don't even seem like
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: they're that close to each other, and people had to
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: give like songwriting credits to it. Yeah, oh yeah, Like
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: songs like people get inspired by certain songs and then
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: they write a song that sounds close enough that there's
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: a rhythm to it that people get upset.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: Well, there's only so many notes and so many chords,
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: and there's only so many beats and so much timing.
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: And it's often the same thing with comedy, Like there's
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: some crossovers in a writer's room, which I've been in
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: so many of so many people writing on the same
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: subject will have the same joke. It's only when it's
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: like what Mencia was doing word for word long form.
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: Well, that was a different thing, but he was a buccaneer.
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: That was a totally different thing. But there's songs like Okay,
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: so I was listening to this video the other day,
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: watching this video the other day. Rather that was comparing
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: Radioheads Creep to an older song, and they had to
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: give Creep Radiohead. Rather, I had to give this older
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: song writing credits for this, which sounds so different. And
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: then Radio ad accused Lana del Rey or someone from
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: their organization accused Lana del Rey of having a song
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: that ripped off Creep or it was sounded too much
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: like Creep, And it did sound a little like Creep,
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: but it was very different like it should be. Obviously,
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: this is like inspired by it, right if that's the
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: like Elvis Presley's entire career was inspired by black musicians,
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: like the way he danced and moved and the way
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: he sang. So it's like, what are we doing, Like
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: there's stealing and then there's inspired by inspired by is
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: what we were all doing. It's like we were talking
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: about that computer earlier, that chip manufacturing thing. That thing
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: was built on the back of all the fucking super
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: wizard geniuses that have been working on all the different
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: technology that led to that being. You can't just invent
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: that in a vacuum. You have to invent that on
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: all these other inventions that have taken place for decades
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: before you. Right, This is the like with music. It's
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: interesting how litigious they are, maybes because they're run by
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: a certain group of people, but they're so good at
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: like suing people. Like a bittersweet symphony remember that song? Yeah, totally,
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: they had a They had to give all their money
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: to the Stones because it was what song it's what's
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: as perplexity well Tony is or while Jamie rothers, oh.
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: I can't do that, That's right, you can. We have
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: to do us do it? I know? Are we if? If?
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: I mean, we learned this the hard way because I
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: have an actual band that can play anything and everything,
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: and years ago they could play anything and everything. Our
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: old episodes hold because you know, I'd literally be to
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: a you know, a shy person. I'd be like, what
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: do you you know you ever do karaoke? They're like yes,
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: I'd go what song do you sing? And then they
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: go da da da da and I literally they would
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: go right into it, and now you can't hum a
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: song for a few seconds.
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: So Bittersweet Symphony was a sample from the Verve developed
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: Bittersweet Symphony from a sample from a nineteen sixty five
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: version of Rolling Stone song The Last Time, adding vocal strings, guitar,
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: and percussion. After a lawsuit by the Rolling Stones former
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: manager Alan Klein, the Verb relinquished all royalties to the
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who were
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: also added to the songwriting credits Wow. Twenty nineteen, ten
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: years after Cline's death, Jagger, Richards, and Cline's son seeded
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: the rights to The Verb songwriter Richard Ashcroft because he
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: was probably broke.
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: There's similar things that have happened recently with uh, I
- 1:58:42Speaker 4: think Olivia Rodrigo and Paramore and then like Puff Daddy and.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Yeah, can you please look up the other one that
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: I said up though, which was Radiohead Creep. Lana del
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: Rey and Radiohead Creep had to give songwriting credits to
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: another band, the Hollies. That's right. What was the original
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: song The Air that I Breathe? It's interesting when you
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: listen to Let's listen to them see if you can
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: find that. There's a comparison video that I watched on YouTube.
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: See if you can find that, because it's interesting how
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: they say the first one and you're like, geez, I
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: don't see it. Well, we'll have to edit this out,
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, but you can find yourself. Radioheads, Creep
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: versus Lona del Rays, Get Free versus the Hollies, The
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: Air that I Breathe. Yeah, that was a live version
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: of it, but if you hear the recorded version of it,
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: it's even more. You could see. But people get inspired
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: by things. I get it, though, I get it in
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: those cases, especially like the beginning of a Holly song
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: and then the beginning of Radiohead like a sort of
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: dead on. Yeah, they're set in a mood, like a
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: very specific mood.
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: Have you ever seen how the guy from the Here's
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: a Crazy One, the guy from the Gorillas the song
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: Clint Eastwood, I think it is, he had a like
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: one of those like little kids kind of keyboards and
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: he hit the demo button because like oftentimes it'll just
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: have a regular song or whatever, and it's the entire
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: backbone of their biggest hit. You'd have to you'd have
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: to pull it up, I guess to understand. But it's
- 2:00:24Speaker 2: that bond. Yeah, there it is. So that's just on
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: the thing.
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: And somehow they got away with it.
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: And then all they do from there is yeah, that's
- 2:00:42Speaker 2: the preset.
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: It's the preset. So crazy they used that. They used
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: a preset from one of them little machines, like a toy.
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: And much like the fucking crazy jokes that end up
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: getting me in trouble, I bet they don't even think
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: that's gonna be the hit, you know what I mean, Like,
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: they're probably not like this is the song that's gonna
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: fly off the shelf, but other.
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: People see it. Tony, I was the one who told
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: you're gonna get stabbed for the Puerto Rican joke.
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: There was that was so many years later. It's crazy.
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: I was doing that joke during the pandemic to the
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: point to where it got extended to where you were
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: part of it. And what's funny is I left those
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: tags of the longer joke out of the Trump rally,
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: one which probably would have protected me. They probably would
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: have saved it, going, ah, it's gonna get me stabbed whatever, you.
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: Know what I mean, And you would have the Amy Schumer.
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: Well, yeah, there was a lot to it. Yeah, people
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: don't realize that that's a bit of a munch, much
- 2:01:42Speaker 2: bigger chunk at the time.
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: Well, that's why it should be in a set. You know.
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: Of comedy is such a weird art form. I mean, look,
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: I love it to death, but real comedy should be
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: seen in person. Oh yeah, you know. Stanhope said this once,
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: like it was like everything we do on TV is
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: just to try to get people to come see us
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: in the clubs. Like that's really what it is. So
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: you just really want people to go there live because
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: that's the real fun. The real fun is all us
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: a bunch of human beings fucking around and having a
- 2:02:09Speaker 1: good time. As soon as you start taking it seriously
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: and making it something that it's not like you're I
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: get why you're doing it, because that has become a
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: thing that people do today. But I'm just saying, like,
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: for your own mental health, it's just it's not good
- 2:02:24Speaker 1: for you to be engaging, like I was saying about
- 2:02:27Speaker 1: the Carlos thing, like just engaging in conflict. It's not good.
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: It's not good for you. It's bad for you. It
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: feels bad it's not good. It's not it's your this
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: is there's negative energy and positive energy. You should spend
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: as much of your time possible on things that make
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: positive energy. I know that sounds hippie, and because I'm
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: a little bit of hippie, I got a lot of
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: hippie in me. But that's what I believe. I believe
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: you should spend as much of your time having fun,
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: making people laugh, having a good time, and less about
- 2:02:56Speaker 1: dwelling on shit. Yeah, that's why I try to stay
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: off Twitter, because when I get on, I just start
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: freaking out at all the different news stories that are
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: just abomination after abomination, where you're just so angry.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: It's just impossible now. And you know it used to
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: be Twitter was Twitter and this and that, but really
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: it's just the news. X is the news. It is
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: so hard to absorb that it was fun and you know,
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: it's cool and all, and my algorithm still shows me
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: stuff that I love, police chases gone wrong and UFC
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: highlights and all of this stuff, but all the stuff
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: around that is just crazy. I did a thing because
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: I was staying at a hotel in DC right after
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: the State of the Union or something. Anyway, I'm like, okay,
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: it's a hotel TV. I never get to watch regular TV.
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: I'm going to be asleep and a few minutes anyway,
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: so I threw on. I ended up going by CNN.
- 2:04:00Speaker 2: I'm like, let's see what these wackos are saying over here.
- 2:04:03Speaker 2: Let's see how fake the news can possibly be, because
- 2:04:06Speaker 2: from what I understand, the most recent State of the
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: Union was a solid state of the Union and very
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: positive and long and entertaining. Let's see what they say, oh, racism, this,
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: he caused the deaths of black people here. He's the
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: reason why we why America is failing, It's the reason
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: why we're the laughing stock of the country. It made
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: me so stressed out, and I'm like, okay, well let's
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: see what Fox News is saying. And it was crazy
- 2:04:31Speaker 2: over there, and then you have photos. Well they had
- 2:04:36Speaker 2: their counterpoint person on, unlike CNN where they're just all
- 2:04:40Speaker 2: in agreeance. Yeah yeah, and going by six people literally
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: going yeah, he's the worst. And let's not forget that
- 2:04:49Speaker 2: he doesn't think trans people deserve this and this, and
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: like they're just going on and on about straight doom.
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: And Fox News had a counterpoint person that was stressing
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: me out, you know, I swear to god, I'm not kidding.
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: This is not a joke. I was flipping through the
- 2:05:04Speaker 2: different go by MSNBC. I'm like, oh my gosh, it's crazy.
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: I put on Silence of the Lambs. I swear to god,
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: I was asleep five minutes later silently, and I ended up.
- 2:05:18Speaker 2: It just coincidentally was on the Buffalo Bill part where
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: like He's got a girl in a well here darkness
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, finally some peace on the cable television.
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: I never get to just watch normal TV.
- 2:05:33Speaker 1: So did Fox News have a positive spin on the
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: State of the Union address? I did not watch it.
- 2:05:37Speaker 2: I remember for some reason it was stressing me out
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: whatever was going on, because like they had they at
- 2:05:43Speaker 2: least Fox has. They'll argue still like the News used
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: to be. They'll have both sides on and kind of
- 2:05:49Speaker 2: talk it out. And CNN has that poor guy, that
- 2:05:53Speaker 2: poor one guy that just takes all the bullets for
- 2:05:55Speaker 2: everybodys is just going, you're lying, this is that stat
- 2:06:00Speaker 2: doesn't exist. Scott Jennings, Yes, yeah, yeah, that poor guy
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: is probably he's probably has months to live. He takes
- 2:06:07Speaker 2: so many bullets every day. He's a fucking war hero
- 2:06:10Speaker 2: out there.
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: It's a it's a very turbulent world when it comes
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: to discourse. It's just everybody's mad at everybody else. It's
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: really weird to watch. It's really weird to watch these
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: these shows on CNN now that are basically like bad
- 2:06:24Speaker 1: podcasts that get interrupted every five minutes for a commercial.
- 2:06:28Speaker 1: It's really what it's like. I just don't I don't
- 2:06:30Speaker 1: remember it being that way where it's just so many
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: panel opinion shows. I remember it was. It was more
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: like CNN used to have Boordain's show on. You know,
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: well they would travel around the country and check out
- 2:06:43Speaker 1: or travel around the world and check out food. And
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: it was interesting and he would, you know, give you
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: his perspective on the cultures and all the problems and
- 2:06:52Speaker 1: the things that these people are facing and their food
- 2:06:55Speaker 1: and what the community. Was like a fucking great show.
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: They did a bunch of shows that were different, you know,
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: and then somewhere along the line, man, they just went
- 2:07:05Speaker 1: all outrage. Yeah, and I don't think that's going to
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: get any different now. I mean now it looks like
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: Barry Weiss is going to be running that as well.
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: So she's running the CBS News and perhaps she's going
- 2:07:16Speaker 1: to be running CNN or the same company is going
- 2:07:19Speaker 1: to be running CNN. It's like, okay, good luck, good
- 2:07:23Speaker 1: luck because it's already people already don't want to listen.
- 2:07:26Speaker 1: They don't want to take it seriously. Yeah, they you know,
- 2:07:28Speaker 1: And that's why X has become the news. The reason
- 2:07:31Speaker 1: why it's become the news is because they can't trust
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: the news.
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: Right, you know, totally, it's crazier.
- 2:07:36Speaker 1: Tim Dillon had these two New York Times reporters on
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: his podcast and I listened to him talking about it.
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: I hadn't listened to them on the podcast, but I
- 2:07:43Speaker 1: listened to him talking about it, and he was saying
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: that they said there's no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein was intelligence.
- 2:07:50Speaker 1: I was like, what what? There's no aa If I
- 2:07:54Speaker 1: watch one Mike Ben's episode of my podcast where he
- 2:07:58Speaker 1: breaks it down, it's almost possible that he's not right, Like,
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: what the fuck are you? Like? No evidence? No, that's
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: not true. There's just evidence that you're not considering. So
- 2:08:08Speaker 1: it's like if the New York Times and the people
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: that we're always supposed to trust to be the objective
- 2:08:12Speaker 1: purveyors of all that's going on in the world. If
- 2:08:14Speaker 1: they're compromised so they're not allowed to say things, or
- 2:08:18Speaker 1: they have narratives that they gets they're supposed to spend
- 2:08:20Speaker 1: one way or another, or they're very cautious about being
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: honest about their opinion, very very shielded about their actual opinions.
- 2:08:27Speaker 1: Either one of those is not good, or if they
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: actually believe that, that's not good either, because that means
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: you're not really paying attention objectively. Like watch a Mike
- 2:08:37Speaker 1: Ben's episode where he breaks down Epstein's connections. It's nuts.
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: The whole thing's nuts. It's crazy that anybody could say
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: that he was an intelligence.
- 2:08:48Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no doubt about it. But they will do
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: anything to push their own story.
- 2:08:53Speaker 1: They don't. Yeah, it's it's a propaganda network. Yeah, and
- 2:08:56Speaker 1: whatever that propaganda is. I mean that propaganda will shift
- 2:08:59Speaker 1: to upon who's in control of the realm of the
- 2:09:02Speaker 1: rains rather the realm really is a real realm of nonsense. Well,
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: whoever's in control, they're going to be the ones that
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: dictate how the narrative goes. And it's always going to
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: be whatever the sponsors are. That's why you never hear
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: anything about any of these studies that they're showing about
- 2:09:19Speaker 1: the vaccine safety signals that they found very early on,
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: how they hit it, all this Fauci stuff, they're not
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: showing any of that. The Tulsa Gabbard speech we talked
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: about that, where you know, she gave this speech explaining
- 2:09:31Speaker 1: how he lied to Congress and Fauci pressured these other
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: scientists changed their perspective on whether or not it was
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: gain to function research.
- 2:09:39Speaker 2: And yeah, the shit that we had a pretty big
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: feeling about back in twenty twenty.
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't hear any of these people. They're not
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: covering it. Yeah, and they can't because they can't really
- 2:09:49Speaker 1: tell you the whole news. They can only tell you
- 2:09:51Speaker 1: the news they're approved to tell you. That's not good.
- 2:09:53Speaker 1: And that's how X comes about. Yeah, that's how X
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: becomes the place where everybody trusts. But then you go
- 2:09:58Speaker 1: to X and it's just filled with horseshit. There's so
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: much lies. There's always video of something happening, and they're
- 2:10:06Speaker 1: saying this is going on right now, and you're like,
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: and then someone says, no, this is a video from
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, right, this is in you know this
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: part of the world.
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: This is Ai, this is.
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: China, this is not Israel, this is you know, it's
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: like there's so much horseshit and there's so many bots. Yeah,
- 2:10:21Speaker 1: it's like you just dip your toe into the water
- 2:10:24Speaker 1: and you just feel poisoned. You're like, I gotta get
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: out of here. Yeah, but then you feel irresponsible for
- 2:10:29Speaker 1: not paying attention exactly. You know.
- 2:10:31Speaker 2: I feel like so many people feel like they're doing
- 2:10:34Speaker 2: the right thing watching the news and being informed, and
- 2:10:37Speaker 2: they hear that the news is fake and they think
- 2:10:40Speaker 2: that's just like a Trump talking point. I've always said
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: that Trump calling it fake news was like one of
- 2:10:45Speaker 2: the worst things that could happen, because then it sounds
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: like a Trump thing, and the Trump enemies go, oh,
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: fake news. Sure it's fake. If he's saying it, then
- 2:10:53Speaker 2: it can't be fake because we have to disagree with him. Meanwhile,
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: it's a fucking it's a god damn production. I mean,
- 2:11:02Speaker 2: it is fake, and.
- 2:11:03Speaker 1: They're right, it's fake.
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fake.
- 2:11:05Speaker 1: There's a lot of the news it's fake. It's not
- 2:11:07Speaker 1: true all that. I mean, the fact that no one
- 2:11:10Speaker 1: got in trouble for all that Russia Gate.
- 2:11:12Speaker 2: Stuff, crazy, absolutely crazy.
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: And that there's still the same people that were pushing
- 2:11:18Speaker 1: that Russia Gate shit or they're still giving opinions on TV.
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:11:22Speaker 1: It's nuts.
- 2:11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no repercussions to be found. They get to
- 2:11:25Speaker 2: say whatever they want. It's crazy.
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: Well, the repercussion is no one takes them seriously m hm.
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: And that's real. They've suffered that. I mean, we've seen
- 2:11:37Speaker 1: that in real time. And I think the pandemic was
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: the big that was the big wake up call for
- 2:11:42Speaker 1: a lot of people, especially people that were forced to
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: take the vaccine because they had jobs or you know,
- 2:11:48Speaker 1: they had a fly, or they had family members and
- 2:11:51Speaker 1: then they got some horrible side effect and those people
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: got what they call red build you know, I know
- 2:11:58Speaker 1: a lot of people that got red from that. They
- 2:12:01Speaker 1: just can't take it anymore.
- 2:12:03Speaker 2: It's crazy and it's bubbleish, you know what I mean.
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: There's certain areas geographically in which that's the mentality and
- 2:12:13Speaker 2: they stick to it. I mean, here in Austin, I'm
- 2:12:18Speaker 2: known as you know, a skinny little faggot. I went
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: to LA and it turns out I'm a racist Nazi.
- 2:12:26Speaker 2: Like I'm like, they were doing jokes on me at
- 2:12:29Speaker 2: that roast in which it's like, oh, what are you
- 2:12:32Speaker 2: guys talking about? There's parts Around'm literally like, what the fuck?
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: I've never even heard this about myself. I'm on a
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: comedy show every week where people take shots at me,
- 2:12:40Speaker 2: and I've none of this is a thing.
- 2:12:43Speaker 1: Well, it's made up and it's all. They also made
- 2:12:45Speaker 1: up a bunch of stuff about like you going to
- 2:12:47Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia.
- 2:12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, which is crazy, right crazy?
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: They just made it up.
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, like not only made it up, turned it down. Yeah,
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: didn't go when offered vast sums of money that the
- 2:13:00Speaker 2: US boy bag boy Tony would never imagine turning down.
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: And people don't even know that you turned it down
- 2:13:06Speaker 1: because you haven't been public about it.
- 2:13:07Speaker 2: Right, I mentioned it. I glazed over it on one
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: for one moment on Kill Tony once. But yees.
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: So people turned down that money? Are you and Shane Gillis? Yeah?
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: And meanwhile Netflix clipped that and put and pinned it
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: on their Instagram, that joke and with the caption long
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: sip because I'm sipping my water because the joke isn't
- 2:13:28Speaker 2: on me, so the cameras shouldn't be on me. Meanwhile,
- 2:13:31Speaker 2: they're getting My reaction shot to all, you guys took
- 2:13:34Speaker 2: that Saudi Arabian money and make it makes it look
- 2:13:36Speaker 2: like I'm offended or something or guilty of taking Saudi
- 2:13:40Speaker 2: Arabian money.
- 2:13:41Speaker 1: But just a joke when you just lie about a fact,
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: and to make a joke is crazy because you're just
- 2:13:48Speaker 1: lying like that's there's a difference between that and making
- 2:13:51Speaker 1: a joke about something like you had to make something
- 2:13:54Speaker 1: true and then criticize them for something. So you got
- 2:13:57Speaker 1: to lie about something and then criticize them about the
- 2:14:00Speaker 1: lie that you just invented. Yeah, which takes three seconds
- 2:14:04Speaker 1: to find out it wasn't true. Exactly, it takes a
- 2:14:06Speaker 1: really quick search. Look, oh, he didn't go right, Okay.
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: On the contrary, the guys that Chelsea was complimenting during
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: that set, basically Kevin Hart and Pete Davidson did take
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: the money and went to Saudi Arabia.
- 2:14:21Speaker 1: Also, you don't think Chelsea Handler would have taken that
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: money if they offered her to go to Saudi Arabia.
- 2:14:25Speaker 1: She went to dinner at Epstein's house. Exactly what the
- 2:14:27Speaker 1: fuck are we talking about?
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: It's all right because Witty Allen was there.
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and apparently she gave him the what have you?
- 2:14:34Speaker 1: She told him, that's what they said. She told him
- 2:14:37Speaker 1: she was very upset with him. Yeah, at the intelligence
- 2:14:42Speaker 1: agent slash sexual predator's house, guys were arrested for a
- 2:14:48Speaker 1: statutory rape.
- 2:14:50Speaker 2: That's fine, though crazy.
- 2:14:52Speaker 1: Just yeah, don't be a white guy. It's nice. It's
- 2:14:56Speaker 1: just the whole thing is so stupid, Like if you
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: want to make fun of someone for anything, for you know,
- 2:15:02Speaker 1: you looking gay, are you like you're down with that,
- 2:15:05Speaker 1: But when you invent a fact that's not true, you
- 2:15:08Speaker 1: say it's not true, and then you criticize someone for that, Like,
- 2:15:11Speaker 1: that's stupid. That's a stupid way to do comedy.
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, and the way that it's covered and everything,
- 2:15:17Speaker 2: it's like, what are you guys doing.
- 2:15:19Speaker 1: Well if you didn't know and people didn't know obviously
- 2:15:23Speaker 1: because they laughed, they thought maybe you did go or
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: maybe Shane did go. They didn't know that you were
- 2:15:27Speaker 1: the two people that did say no. You know, Jessica
- 2:15:31Speaker 1: curse On went and she got criticized so much. She
- 2:15:33Speaker 1: gave her money away. She gave the money away. I
- 2:15:37Speaker 1: think she gave What did she do with the money?
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: Find out what she did? But I was like, oh man,
- 2:15:42Speaker 1: listen those people that went to see Jessica curse on.
- 2:15:45Speaker 1: First of all, I heard she murdered over there. She's
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: very funny, she's a fucking dynamo. She's a killer on stage,
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: very very entertaining, lovely lady. I love her to does.
- 2:15:53Speaker 1: She's just fun to talk to. She fucking murdered over there,
- 2:15:58Speaker 1: I heard. So being woman from New York went to
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, Okay, donates re odd comedy festival fee to
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: human rights campaign. Well, all that money is going to
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: someone's payroll. Yeah, you feel better, but meanwhile, someone it's
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: paying for someone's salary that's probably not fixing homelessness or
- 2:16:21Speaker 1: whatever the it is, and that's what they do. Tom
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: Segurro went and put a photo of a Ferrari and
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: said thanks Saudi Arabia. But everybody was very upset. But
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: my perspective is the people that are in that audience.
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: If you're upset of the people that are paying and organizing, okay,
- 2:16:42Speaker 1: the people that are in that audience though, that they're
- 2:16:44Speaker 1: performing to they don't get a chance to see American
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: stand up comedy, and they're getting a chance to see
- 2:16:49Speaker 1: it live and stand up. Comedy like music, like literature,
- 2:16:54Speaker 1: changes people's minds. It changes all art where you see
- 2:16:58Speaker 1: someone a different person than you, with a totally different
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: perspective that lives on then other side of the world
- 2:17:02Speaker 1: that says something that you think is hilarious and you
- 2:17:04Speaker 1: love it changes you know, it changes people's perspectives. You
- 2:17:09Speaker 1: win hearts and minds. I mean that's real. Like you
- 2:17:11Speaker 1: can change the world a little bit by getting people
- 2:17:15Speaker 1: to say, hey, we kind of are We all have
- 2:17:18Speaker 1: a lot of shared interests. We just want to have fun.
- 2:17:21Speaker 1: We just want to be with our friends, be with
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: our family and do what we want to do. Like
- 2:17:25Speaker 1: everybody wants that, including those people in the audience, Like
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: those people in the audience in Saudi Arabia were just
- 2:17:30Speaker 1: Saudi Arabian citizens. They're just a bunch of people that
- 2:17:33Speaker 1: lived there. They came out to see comedy like performing
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: in front of them. I mean, what is wrong with that.
- 2:17:42Speaker 1: It's wrong. You're supposed to boycott it because the people
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: that run it probably were involved with the killing of
- 2:17:49Speaker 1: Jamal Kashogi in some way, or the people that finance it. Okay,
- 2:17:54Speaker 1: maybe I see how you didn't want to do it,
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: and I see how Shane didn't want to do it,
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: and I probably pbably wouldn't want do it either. But
- 2:18:01Speaker 1: I don't have any problem with people doing it because
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: I think at the end of the day, you were
- 2:18:05Speaker 1: just like I don't have any problem with Saudi Arabia
- 2:18:06Speaker 1: putting on these boxing matches that I talked about. I
- 2:18:08Speaker 1: love that they put on these boxing matches. And oddly enough,
- 2:18:11Speaker 1: that's not really criticized that much, even by like heavy
- 2:18:15Speaker 1: duty left wing MMA media, which is a real thing.
- 2:18:19Speaker 1: There's a lot of like shit shit libs that are
- 2:18:22Speaker 1: MMA media just because they're journalists and they're just happy
- 2:18:26Speaker 1: to be fans, but they have that like hardcore left
- 2:18:28Speaker 1: wing perspective. They don't seem to have that much of
- 2:18:31Speaker 1: a problem with it, not like people had the problem
- 2:18:33Speaker 1: with the comics over there where guys like Louis and
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: Bill Burr they just get destroyed for that.
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's nuts, but.
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: I think Sigura had the right move. Just don't even
- 2:18:44Speaker 1: pay attention. Fuck off. I'm gonna perform wherever I want
- 2:18:48Speaker 1: to perform, you.
- 2:18:49Speaker 2: Know, Yeah, No, it makes sense totally. I just can't
- 2:18:53Speaker 2: go straight from a Trump rally to Saudi Arabia. It's
- 2:18:56Speaker 2: a little bit of a hop, a skip and a jump.
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: I know. It's also it's like, you know, is that
- 2:19:04Speaker 1: what you want to do. I don't want to go there.
- 2:19:05Speaker 1: It's too long, So I want to be on a
- 2:19:07Speaker 1: plane for sixteen hours to go anywhere.
- 2:19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I hate it. I hate flying.
- 2:19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck off, it's terrible. Come to Texas.
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: It's just we live in a very polarized society, and
- 2:19:21Speaker 1: I think a large part of that is what we were
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: talking about earlier with social media and mentally ill people
- 2:19:26Speaker 1: just just screaming into the fucking void every day. I
- 2:19:30Speaker 1: just would like to suggest to people just try not
- 2:19:34Speaker 1: to engage like that for a month and see how
- 2:19:37Speaker 1: much better you feel.
- 2:19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, just try it. Talk and make friends.
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: And hopefully that's not how you've set up your life
- 2:19:42Speaker 1: where you have to do that for a living. Hopefully
- 2:19:44Speaker 1: you're not one of those people, because there are people
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: that are paid posters and they make a pretty good
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: living just posting and getting engagement. Well, you know, I
- 2:19:53Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. You're trapped, right, you know,
- 2:19:55Speaker 1: if your whole thing is like shitting on people all
- 2:19:58Speaker 1: day long, you're kind of trapped. Yeah, but you can't
- 2:20:01Speaker 1: feel good. There's no way, No, there's no way. It's
- 2:20:05Speaker 1: like the amount of cortisol that must be pumping through
- 2:20:08Speaker 1: your body all day where you're going over and I
- 2:20:10Speaker 1: see like people that do that, I see how they
- 2:20:13Speaker 1: get destroyed and the replies and I'm like, and I
- 2:20:16Speaker 1: know they're reading that, like good lord, yeah, Like I
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: don't know how Gavin Newsom is still alive. Every time
- 2:20:23Speaker 1: he posts something, the way he gets destroyed in those comments,
- 2:20:27Speaker 1: it's like a fucking insane well, no one is happy.
- 2:20:32Speaker 2: It's just the funniest thing because it's he reminds me
- 2:20:35Speaker 2: of like one of the last actual politicians, Like he's
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: a different just lying, ignoring of facts type of human being.
- 2:20:46Speaker 2: Because we're witnessing it, maybe it's easy for someone in uh,
- 2:20:52Speaker 2: I don't know, New Hampshire to go, ah, that Gavin
- 2:20:55Speaker 2: Newsom is the future. But we lived in California and
- 2:20:59Speaker 2: I been to San Francisco recently and we've seen it.
- 2:21:03Speaker 2: Like when you travel, you know, comedians aren't the end
- 2:21:07Speaker 2: all be all and these whys whatever stages perhaps, but
- 2:21:11Speaker 2: we do travel a lot, and you spend a weekend
- 2:21:15Speaker 2: in a city and you're not just doing your shows.
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: You're having lunch somewhere, you're having coffee somewhere, you're dealing
- 2:21:20Speaker 2: with the people at the hotel, lot, whatever it may be.
- 2:21:23Speaker 2: There's different communications and vibes and energies. And there's so
- 2:21:26Speaker 2: many of these places, especially California. You know, San Diego's
- 2:21:31Speaker 2: like a last stand. Huntington Beach is an area around there.
- 2:21:35Speaker 2: There's like these little pockets in which there's still some
- 2:21:39Speaker 2: common sense and happiness. Enjoy Newport, these little pockets. But
- 2:21:45Speaker 2: those major cities are fucked. Man. Even the drive and
- 2:21:50Speaker 2: you know, I go to La basically maybe once a
- 2:21:52Speaker 2: year now for a quick, always fun visit, always doing
- 2:21:56Speaker 2: some arena and a couple nights at the store, which
- 2:21:59Speaker 2: is different rent unfortunately. But the drive from Lax to
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: that area of West Hollywood slash Beverly Hills is garuesome.
- 2:22:09Speaker 2: Everything is for lease, Everything is empty. There's nothing new
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: except for the crazy looking, weird ass Obama Museum Library,
- 2:22:21Speaker 2: which is the craziest, weirdest I sore humanly imagined. Where's
- 2:22:26Speaker 2: that It's like on the way up there. I can't
- 2:22:29Speaker 2: remember if it's like off of Los Sienega or fair.
- 2:22:32Speaker 1: That's not the new one, because the new one is
- 2:22:33Speaker 1: in Chicago, isn't it?
- 2:22:35Speaker 2: Oh?
- 2:22:35Speaker 1: It is?
- 2:22:36Speaker 2: What's the fucking They built something that looks just like
- 2:22:39Speaker 2: that monstras.
- 2:22:39Speaker 1: So the one in Chicago. People don't like it. I
- 2:22:42Speaker 1: think it looks dope. It looks like it looks like
- 2:22:46Speaker 1: something from Blade Runner.
- 2:22:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22:49Speaker 1: I like it. A lot of people don't like But
- 2:22:51Speaker 1: it cost a lot of money. Costs like eight hundred
- 2:22:53Speaker 1: and fifty million dollars. So you can find out what
- 2:22:55Speaker 1: that building looks like. Show me a photo something that truck's.
- 2:22:59Speaker 2: Just like that building?
- 2:23:01Speaker 1: Complex online and Los Angeles that made who did the Obamas? Okay,
- 2:23:08Speaker 1: what is the the one in Chicago? A lot of
- 2:23:11Speaker 1: people were criticizing it, and I saw it, go that
- 2:23:12Speaker 1: thing looks dope. I love it. Like that thing? Where
- 2:23:16Speaker 1: is it? Yeah? The one there where your cursor is
- 2:23:18Speaker 1: click on that. Oh that's a rendering. I don't think yet.
- 2:23:22Speaker 1: Oh it's not done. I thought people were in it.
- 2:23:25Speaker 1: I don't think what's it down there?
- 2:23:27Speaker 4: In the Lord showed this online and everyone was going crazy.
- 2:23:30Speaker 1: I thought people were already going to it. I don't
- 2:23:32Speaker 1: know that. I think that's it. That looks like a rendering.
- 2:23:38Speaker 1: To me, that looks fake as fuck. But that one
- 2:23:40Speaker 1: down there, that one down there with the darkness in
- 2:23:44Speaker 1: the corner, Yeah right, there is that real. I think
- 2:23:53Speaker 1: that's a real photo. I think it's done. I might
- 2:23:56Speaker 1: be wrong, but see if it's oh you have Los
- 2:24:02Speaker 1: Angeles Chicago. Yeah, it's real. So it's up. But I
- 2:24:09Speaker 1: think it looks cool. It's different. People are saying it's ugly.
- 2:24:16Speaker 1: It looks like see if you can find photos of it,
- 2:24:17Speaker 1: go to images. Yeah, here we go. Like there, dude,
- 2:24:25Speaker 1: I think that looks dope.
- 2:24:29Speaker 2: Really Yeah, window.
- 2:24:32Speaker 1: Looking out all was a writing on the top. What
- 2:24:33Speaker 1: does it say, go all the way up? Please? Oh uh?
- 2:24:41Speaker 1: Unconstrained convention by what.
- 2:24:45Speaker 2: It's written on two sides, so.
- 2:24:48Speaker 1: Oh right, oh it goes all the way around it.
- 2:24:50Speaker 1: Oh that's fucking cool. I think that looks cool. I mean,
- 2:24:54Speaker 1: maybe I have no taste.
- 2:24:55Speaker 2: I mean, we can't even find an angle of what
- 2:24:57Speaker 2: they're trying to say.
- 2:24:59Speaker 1: There, right, I don't know what it's saying, but I
- 2:25:01Speaker 1: think it's cool that they did that, that they had
- 2:25:04Speaker 1: words that go across like that. I just think it
- 2:25:07Speaker 1: looks sick, but I like that kind of brutalist architecture.
- 2:25:11Speaker 1: I think that's what they call it. Yeah, I like
- 2:25:13Speaker 1: that kind of cool cement with big glass, Like there's
- 2:25:16Speaker 1: a lot of houses like that, especially like in the
- 2:25:18Speaker 1: Hollywood Hills that I love. I looked at one of
- 2:25:22Speaker 1: them back when I was starting to make that cheddar,
- 2:25:26Speaker 1: and I was like, maybe I should live in Hollywood
- 2:25:28Speaker 1: and then I could just do the store right there.
- 2:25:31Speaker 1: But I was like, probably not that safe. I looked
- 2:25:35Speaker 1: at the house above the store that Mitzi was selling.
- 2:25:40Speaker 1: What was on colfax was that what it was was
- 2:25:43Speaker 1: that those street. It was the comic store, the comic
- 2:25:46Speaker 1: house where like Kennison stayed there and Pauli lived there
- 2:25:49Speaker 1: for a while, but I had dogs, and I was like,
- 2:25:52Speaker 1: this is not enough backyard. It's too small. And also
- 2:25:55Speaker 1: it's like it's too close to the machine. Yeah, it's
- 2:25:57Speaker 1: like right next to the beast. Like I don't know
- 2:25:59Speaker 1: if I want to be like right next to the beast.
- 2:26:02Speaker 1: I think I'd rather be outside the beast and go
- 2:26:03Speaker 1: visit like that for me for my head. But I
- 2:26:07Speaker 1: looked at a couple of houses up there, and one
- 2:26:09Speaker 1: of them was this house that was like really was
- 2:26:12Speaker 1: out of my budget?
- 2:26:13Speaker 4: Really.
- 2:26:13Speaker 1: I was just I shouldn't have been looking at it.
- 2:26:14Speaker 1: It's like ten million bucks and it had crazy like
- 2:26:19Speaker 1: like concrete with massive windows. But it was right there
- 2:26:24Speaker 1: on the street, like you're walking on the street, there's
- 2:26:27Speaker 1: a sidewalk you could read over and touch the front
- 2:26:30Speaker 1: door of the house. I was like, yeah, this is
- 2:26:32Speaker 1: kind of crazy to buy this house. And the guy
- 2:26:34Speaker 1: was like, don't worry. We have a state of the
- 2:26:35Speaker 1: art security system. So I go, yeah, you know what
- 2:26:37Speaker 1: that is. I go, your camera is a going to
- 2:26:39Speaker 1: catch a guy with a ski mask robbing you? And
- 2:26:43Speaker 1: two weeks after I said that, the guy who in
- 2:26:45Speaker 1: the house got shot in it. Whoa two weeks got
- 2:26:48Speaker 1: shot in the neck?
- 2:26:50Speaker 2: Fuck?
- 2:26:51Speaker 1: Yeah damn yeah.
- 2:26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, So hey that's these places, man.
- 2:26:58Speaker 1: But that kind of art nitecture, I think it's dope.
- 2:27:01Speaker 1: I like, like that crazy modern cement stuff. But for
- 2:27:04Speaker 1: a house like what you're going to live in, the
- 2:27:07Speaker 1: reality is you'd probably be like, I'm sleeping in a museum.
- 2:27:10Speaker 1: This is too weird. Yeah, I'd rather just have a
- 2:27:12Speaker 1: regular house.
- 2:27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, windows are a necessity.
- 2:27:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I just want to see stuff. I just want
- 2:27:19Speaker 1: to be able to have a cup of coffee and
- 2:27:21Speaker 1: see some trees. You know, let me just sit down
- 2:27:23Speaker 1: and fucking collect my thoughts for the day. You know,
- 2:27:27Speaker 1: I don't necessarily need to be in a fucking museum.
- 2:27:31Speaker 1: Concrete ass big, It's there's something weird about it. It's like,
- 2:27:35Speaker 1: you're too weird. If you live like that, you're weird. Man.
- 2:27:38Speaker 1: You're living with his giant twenty foot high glass wall
- 2:27:45Speaker 1: in front of you that looks out at the blade
- 2:27:48Speaker 1: runner scape that is Los Angeles from the hills. Have
- 2:27:50Speaker 1: you seen that view at night? Have you ever been
- 2:27:52Speaker 1: up to a house? Oh?
- 2:27:53Speaker 2: Yeah, have you seen this house?
- 2:27:55Speaker 1: Oh that's sick. I love that house.
- 2:27:57Speaker 4: It's known as like the Oakley Founder's house. I don't
- 2:27:59Speaker 4: know if he still owns.
- 2:28:00Speaker 1: But yeah, that's up there. Yeah, that house I love.
- 2:28:03Speaker 1: See if I was single and a baller, that's where
- 2:28:06Speaker 1: I would live. Two hundred and ten million a bargain.
- 2:28:11Speaker 1: I fucking love that shit. I see shit like that,
- 2:28:14Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, that's where I love it.
- 2:28:17Speaker 1: But I don't want to live there for real. Yeah,
- 2:28:19Speaker 1: I think after a while you would be like, I'd
- 2:28:21Speaker 1: rather have a log house.
- 2:28:22Speaker 4: I'm trying to find pictures of Kanye's concrete house. But
- 2:28:25Speaker 4: this is not the.
- 2:28:25Speaker 1: One of them. That's fucking dope. I just love those
- 2:28:28Speaker 1: kind of houses that look like that, especially that one
- 2:28:32Speaker 1: that's circular one. The way you pull into that driveway
- 2:28:35Speaker 1: and the entire back house faces the lights, and you
- 2:28:40Speaker 1: see the lights like it's hard to see from photos
- 2:28:43Speaker 1: of how look. How sick that looks man, that's sick.
- 2:28:47Speaker 1: I love that. But the lights from that, like if
- 2:28:50Speaker 1: you're up in the hills, you want to be above
- 2:28:53Speaker 1: looking down, and it's like a movie. It's like a
- 2:28:55Speaker 1: sci fi movie. It's one of the coolest fucking views
- 2:28:58Speaker 1: I've ever seen.
- 2:28:58Speaker 2: Polly has the fucking as crazy as it sounds, that
- 2:29:01Speaker 2: motherfucker when he made it. He bought a house that's
- 2:29:05Speaker 2: on top, top top top top of the Hollywood Hills
- 2:29:08Speaker 2: with that MTV money. Yeah, dude, it's crazy. He remodeled
- 2:29:12Speaker 2: it recently. When I was there for the festival. He's like, dude,
- 2:29:15Speaker 2: you got to come see the house. Come see the house.
- 2:29:17Speaker 2: I'm like, Pollie, I'm so busy. That's very highly unlikely.
- 2:29:21Speaker 2: Come see the house, dude, you got to come to
- 2:29:23Speaker 2: the house. Sure enough, I went there one afternoon for
- 2:29:25Speaker 2: a fucking coffee. Bro it is crazy. He was right.
- 2:29:30Speaker 2: He's got the house. He did it. It's on top
- 2:29:33Speaker 2: of everything. So there's if a robber does try to
- 2:29:37Speaker 2: go up there, they're robbing someone else's house. They don't
- 2:29:40Speaker 2: want to go to the tippy top of the fucking hill.
- 2:29:42Speaker 2: That's a tough escape.
- 2:29:44Speaker 1: That's the problem with the escape. Yeah, you want to
- 2:29:46Speaker 1: be close to the bottom right right. Speaking of which
- 2:29:50Speaker 1: I've been watching, I got went down a rabbit hole
- 2:29:53Speaker 1: the other day. On YouTube, we're street racers and there's
- 2:29:57Speaker 1: this one guy who is like a famous street racer
- 2:30:01Speaker 1: because there's all these videos of him. He got his uh,
- 2:30:04Speaker 1: his things set up where he can shut the lights off.
- 2:30:08Speaker 1: He's got this black corvette. I'm gonna send this to Jamie.
- 2:30:12Speaker 1: I've seen this guy. Yeah, his name is really slow,
- 2:30:16Speaker 1: like r y L s l O. And he's got
- 2:30:21Speaker 1: videos of these cop encounters so they like baits cops
- 2:30:26Speaker 1: and then goes on these mad runs and you watch it,
- 2:30:29Speaker 1: you go, holy shit, I love it. Yes, this is
- 2:30:34Speaker 1: the dude. Yeah, yeah, this is well. He's like a
- 2:30:39Speaker 1: legend online because he does interviews only with a voice
- 2:30:44Speaker 1: changer where Burch's worship the burg Dirt where he describes
- 2:30:48Speaker 1: all the modifications that he did to his car. But
- 2:30:51Speaker 1: he puts a three D camera on the back of
- 2:30:54Speaker 1: his car and he uh, you know they have those
- 2:30:56Speaker 1: things where he's sticking on the back of your car,
- 2:30:59Speaker 1: and he gives you a three of the automobile and
- 2:31:02Speaker 1: he has video of the cops like flashing their lights
- 2:31:05Speaker 1: and his car has got one thousand plus horsepower. So
- 2:31:09Speaker 1: these poor cops and they're like three hundred horsepower fucking
- 2:31:13Speaker 1: Crown Victoria. They try to chase this guy and he
- 2:31:15Speaker 1: just disappears. And then once he gets out of the line, like,
- 2:31:19Speaker 1: go back to that video where it was before. Watch this.
- 2:31:22Speaker 1: I mean, it's this is it's just edited. It's not
- 2:31:24Speaker 1: his videos. It's just so much I understand. But if
- 2:31:26Speaker 1: you just I know this video, but if you what
- 2:31:28Speaker 1: what he does is they start pulling them over, and
- 2:31:32Speaker 1: in the beginning, when they pull him over, he hits
- 2:31:34Speaker 1: the gas and then shuts his lights off. Did you
- 2:31:36Speaker 1: pass that sut here? It is so so this is it?
- 2:31:39Speaker 1: So they hit the lights and he's like see, uh
- 2:31:44Speaker 1: are they gonna show it? Okay, So it's not the compilation.
- 2:31:48Speaker 1: So when he does it and he hits the gas,
- 2:31:51Speaker 1: he gets far here it is, he gets far enough
- 2:31:53Speaker 1: away from them. They're not showing it. These motherfuckers. They
- 2:31:57Speaker 1: have to edit their own ship. Leaving it alone is better.
- 2:31:59Speaker 1: So he gets ahead of everybody and then just he
- 2:32:02Speaker 1: has a button where it kills his headlights and he's
- 2:32:05Speaker 1: using night vision. Oh wow, yeah, it's nuts. So is
- 2:32:09Speaker 1: this it? Yeah? Yes, this is it? So this is
- 2:32:13Speaker 1: this guy? So his license plate says will run like
- 2:32:17Speaker 1: it's a fake. It's a fake license plate. The cops
- 2:32:19Speaker 1: get it behind him, they hit the lights and he
- 2:32:21Speaker 1: goes by, and the cops realize there's no way to
- 2:32:26Speaker 1: catch this guy. It's not a look at that. Lights
- 2:32:28Speaker 1: go out and he's gone, and he's flashing lights on
- 2:32:32Speaker 1: people to get them the fuck out of the way,
- 2:32:34Speaker 1: and there's no way to catch him. And then he
- 2:32:36Speaker 1: bangs U turns. He knows where he's going. He plots
- 2:32:39Speaker 1: it out. And the thing is, he's filming this and
- 2:32:42Speaker 1: uploading it. So he's got to hide his identity through
- 2:32:46Speaker 1: how many different channels? How does Instagram not know who
- 2:32:49Speaker 1: he is? How is he posting? I guess he's using
- 2:32:51Speaker 1: a VPN, He's probably using a proxy and he's probably
- 2:32:54Speaker 1: going through some other country or something. If he's smart,
- 2:32:57Speaker 1: if he's smart enough to avoid detection. But he just
- 2:33:02Speaker 1: has these fucking crazy car bills, Like he's got a
- 2:33:05Speaker 1: Calvo viper that has like I mean, I don't know
- 2:33:08Speaker 1: how many fucking horsepower that thing has, But they make
- 2:33:13Speaker 1: some of these Carvo vipers. It's a company here in Texas.
- 2:33:15Speaker 1: They make vipers that have two thousand horsepower. What like,
- 2:33:21Speaker 1: what are you talking about? They know where?
- 2:33:23Speaker 4: Does he always do it in the same city?
- 2:33:25Speaker 1: I think he's in the Dallas area. How fun? Well yeah,
- 2:33:29Speaker 1: well not good if you kills somebody. But it's uh
- 2:33:33Speaker 1: very spooky. Yeah, yeah, it's nuts, man, because this fucking
- 2:33:38Speaker 1: dude really knows how to drive too. And you see
- 2:33:42Speaker 1: these poor cops and one of them the cops wipe out.
- 2:33:44Speaker 1: They slam it into another car, and they're trying to
- 2:33:47Speaker 1: pass by these cones and the road cuts off and
- 2:33:50Speaker 1: the cop hits the cones, then loses the control of
- 2:33:52Speaker 1: his car and slams into another car. So like, people
- 2:33:55Speaker 1: can fucking die, especially if he runs a red light
- 2:33:58Speaker 1: and it runs a lot of them and someone's being an idiot,
- 2:34:01Speaker 1: maybe someone's doing exactly what he's doing while he's running
- 2:34:04Speaker 1: the red light.
- 2:34:04Speaker 2: Dude, you have to see what Kanye is doing right now.
- 2:34:07Speaker 2: It's a historical moment in all of art. It's unbelievable.
- 2:34:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you said he's standing on the globe right.
- 2:34:13Speaker 2: Well, not only that, he thought entire everything is a
- 2:34:18Speaker 2: super production and it's all him, Like you could tell,
- 2:34:21Speaker 2: he's made every decision and tweaked everything to the color
- 2:34:26Speaker 2: of everything to win. It happens to how it happens.
- 2:34:29Speaker 2: That it's not too much. He's not overwhelming the senses
- 2:34:32Speaker 2: with lasers and lights and all of this. It's all
- 2:34:35Speaker 2: so strategic. But most importantly it's first of all, it's
- 2:34:40Speaker 2: the fucking greatest production I've ever seen of anything. And
- 2:34:43Speaker 2: I come from Pink floyd Land, where the live show
- 2:34:46Speaker 2: has to be ahead of its time and state of
- 2:34:48Speaker 2: the art and everything for my mind to be blown.
- 2:34:51Speaker 2: And I was expecting this to be like every other
- 2:34:54Speaker 2: rap concert that I've seen, which is going to be
- 2:34:56Speaker 2: fun and good and maybe great. Of course it'll be great,
- 2:35:00Speaker 2: But this was like a thousand times my expectations because,
- 2:35:04Speaker 2: first of all, he's doing pop up shows at stadiums,
- 2:35:07Speaker 2: which is crazy. He announces it a week or two
- 2:35:10Speaker 2: in advance, and the stadium's like, okay, we're sitting empty
- 2:35:13Speaker 2: that night. We love to sell beer and water and
- 2:35:15Speaker 2: get a percentage of merch, right, how these venues work.
- 2:35:18Speaker 2: They don't give a fuck. And he's not promoting it.
- 2:35:21Speaker 2: Everyone else that's been to one or seen one is
- 2:35:24Speaker 2: promoting it. And then the mayor of whatever city or
- 2:35:28Speaker 2: whatever leftist person whether it be the governor of that
- 2:35:32Speaker 2: state or whatever's like, this shouldn't be happening. So they're
- 2:35:34Speaker 2: promoting it for him, and it's filled to the top
- 2:35:38Speaker 2: of the fucking stadium. Whereas even Pink Floyd or the
- 2:35:41Speaker 2: Rolling Stones or whoever announces a tour all at once
- 2:35:44Speaker 2: and goes, hey, buy tickets, I'm on tour, pretty please
- 2:35:47Speaker 2: come right, He's just like San Antonio July fourth, a
- 2:35:52Speaker 2: week ago, literally, And what's crazy is that my buddy
- 2:35:58Speaker 2: got me tickets to go see him in Tampa, because
- 2:36:00Speaker 2: as all we knew is that he was going to Tampa.
- 2:36:03Speaker 2: And so there I was, and I'm looking and it's
- 2:36:07Speaker 2: filled to the top and the floor is filled, and
- 2:36:11Speaker 2: it's he doesn't stop, he doesn't take a break it.
- 2:36:15Speaker 2: I saw that on Instagram after his first one, that
- 2:36:18Speaker 2: he did I think it was in LA and I'm like, oh,
- 2:36:20Speaker 2: that's crazy. I need to see this.
- 2:36:23Speaker 1: That is nuts. That stage is nuts.
- 2:36:25Speaker 2: But these pictures and videos do not do any justice
- 2:36:29Speaker 2: to what is happening sound wise, energy wise.
- 2:36:33Speaker 1: Just that stage alone is fucking insane.
- 2:36:36Speaker 2: It's crazy. And he enters at the he walks through
- 2:36:40Speaker 2: the crowd because obviously it's in the round. He comes
- 2:36:43Speaker 2: out and you hear a pop from one side because
- 2:36:46Speaker 2: they can kind of see him, and then the globe
- 2:36:48Speaker 2: turns on, and you know, he waits until it's dark,
- 2:36:50Speaker 2: so he he enters one point and then inside is
- 2:36:55Speaker 2: a a a lift that only takes him. So like
- 2:37:01Speaker 2: there's no one that can storm that stage or anything
- 2:37:03Speaker 2: because it's inflatable on the outside, so it's an impossible
- 2:37:08Speaker 2: impossible to you know, storm the stage or anything like that.
- 2:37:13Speaker 2: And he's the only one that has accessed to the
- 2:37:15Speaker 2: lift obviously, and he has a tether that he's attached
- 2:37:19Speaker 2: to so that he doesn't go off or anything.
- 2:37:21Speaker 1: So doesn't fall into the balloon exactly.
- 2:37:24Speaker 2: And it is the most diabolical show I've ever seen
- 2:37:27Speaker 2: in my entire life ever, And that includes all the
- 2:37:30Speaker 2: fucking everything's and again I come from the school of
- 2:37:33Speaker 2: Pink Floyd, which is always ten twenty years ahead of
- 2:37:36Speaker 2: its time production wise, and this was fucking nuts because
- 2:37:41Speaker 2: he does not stop, He does not take a break,
- 2:37:44Speaker 2: He doesn't go thank you guys for coming out until
- 2:37:46Speaker 2: the very end, in which he goes, it's all about love.
- 2:37:49Speaker 2: I love you guys, thanks for sticking with me all
- 2:37:51Speaker 2: these years. When all these people said this, and then
- 2:37:53Speaker 2: by that point two and a half hours in when
- 2:37:55Speaker 2: he's saying that, you're just like, you gotta be fucking
- 2:37:58Speaker 2: kidding me.
- 2:37:58Speaker 1: Can we realize the bar of his work? How many
- 2:38:01Speaker 1: bangers that guy has? It's nuts bangers.
- 2:38:06Speaker 2: And I, as an experiment, took my one buddy who
- 2:38:09Speaker 2: said that, uh, you know, part of the group was
- 2:38:11Speaker 2: my one friend who has always been like, I don't know,
- 2:38:14Speaker 2: you fucking love Kanye. I mean not really my thing,
- 2:38:18Speaker 2: but he's not. He's just not really a rap fan,
- 2:38:20Speaker 2: is the reality. So I invited him on this trip
- 2:38:24Speaker 2: and his mind was fucking now he's a diehard Kanye fan.
- 2:38:27Speaker 2: Now he's going back and you know, realizing that he's
- 2:38:31Speaker 2: always been a Kanye fan, Like it's such a crazy
- 2:38:35Speaker 2: fucking thing because not only does he have hits on
- 2:38:37Speaker 2: hits on hits, but he does not stop in between
- 2:38:42Speaker 2: songs because some of his beats kind of correlate or
- 2:38:45Speaker 2: this and that. He'll literally just keep going and going
- 2:38:49Speaker 2: and going until his amazing. On his new album, he
- 2:38:53Speaker 2: has this keyboardist with one of those like crazy blow
- 2:38:57Speaker 2: into tube instrument things. I don't know what it's called,
- 2:39:01Speaker 2: but he has a solo, a big one on one
- 2:39:04Speaker 2: of the songs, which is gives Kanye a minute and
- 2:39:07Speaker 2: a half to catch his breath an hour and a
- 2:39:10Speaker 2: half into non stop going. And also on top of
- 2:39:14Speaker 2: all that, you know, a rap concert's a rap concert,
- 2:39:17Speaker 2: but Kanye is the greatest producer of all time in
- 2:39:20Speaker 2: that industry. So every noise that's happening, even if he's
- 2:39:24Speaker 2: not talking or singing or rapping into a microphone, is
- 2:39:30Speaker 2: all him and him only, you know what I mean.
- 2:39:33Speaker 2: Like he might get an idea or an inspiration as
- 2:39:36Speaker 2: we've talked about, or he's a master of sampling old
- 2:39:40Speaker 2: hit songs and having them be in the backbone of
- 2:39:43Speaker 2: the thing and everything, but this is it's just a
- 2:39:46Speaker 2: whole nother level absolute insanity. Like I thought I was
- 2:39:50Speaker 2: going to go there and be like, yeah, and maybe
- 2:39:52Speaker 2: you know, move a little bitter sing along or whatever,
- 2:39:54Speaker 2: and instead my job was dropped the entire time.
- 2:39:57Speaker 1: Is there anybody that ever bounced back from being canceled
- 2:40:00Speaker 1: like him?
- 2:40:01Speaker 2: And that's really the underlying thing. There's this feeling of
- 2:40:05Speaker 2: loyalty that's there and we're right, you know what I mean?
- 2:40:10Speaker 2: There's a feeling that everybody there is like they're correct.
- 2:40:15Speaker 2: Does that make sense? I saw a breakdown of it
- 2:40:17Speaker 2: because my algorithm's feeding me Kanye's stuff NonStop since I
- 2:40:21Speaker 2: went to it because somehow fucking Instagram knows and whatever.
- 2:40:25Speaker 2: And I watched a breakdown of it talking about how
- 2:40:29Speaker 2: like it's like this psychiatrist or energy specialist or something
- 2:40:32Speaker 2: that's talking about how and why this is the craziest
- 2:40:36Speaker 2: concert ever done before, and she breaks it down and
- 2:40:39Speaker 2: goes people that like Kanye believe in themselves because if
- 2:40:48Speaker 2: Kanye saying I'm the greatest, I'm the man, I'm a god,
- 2:40:51Speaker 2: all of these things makes you not like him and
- 2:40:55Speaker 2: you insecure? You're insecure? Does that make sense? Like it's
- 2:41:00Speaker 2: like he if that turns you off to somebody, then
- 2:41:03Speaker 2: you don't really like yourself that much.
- 2:41:06Speaker 1: Why do you think that?
- 2:41:08Speaker 2: Well, again, this was someone else's psychological breakdown of it,
- 2:41:11Speaker 2: and I'm probably not explaining it correctcause I was stoned
- 2:41:14Speaker 2: on a couch.
- 2:41:14Speaker 1: I see what they would be saying to try to
- 2:41:16Speaker 1: defend him. But there's some people that just get turned
- 2:41:19Speaker 1: off by that kind of braggadocious rap music. I don't, right,
- 2:41:25Speaker 1: I love that shit, well, I love nineties hip hop
- 2:41:30Speaker 1: talking about how great they are. I love it. Yeah,
- 2:41:32Speaker 1: I'm a giant fan of that shit. Yeah, you know,
- 2:41:35Speaker 1: I think like some of my favorite rap lyrics, like
- 2:41:38Speaker 1: some of NAS's lyrics, just him talking about how he's
- 2:41:40Speaker 1: the shit.
- 2:41:41Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 2:41:43Speaker 1: I don't mind it at all. But it's like it's
- 2:41:46Speaker 1: when you're singing along to that stuff, and when you're
- 2:41:49Speaker 1: listening to that stuff, like you're feeling what that guy's
- 2:41:51Speaker 1: feeling when he's saying it, and if his raps are hit,
- 2:41:54Speaker 1: if his rhymes are really hitting, especially like Kanye or
- 2:41:59Speaker 1: any of the greats you know, Biggie Tupac, Nas, like
- 2:42:02Speaker 1: when when they're now.
- 2:42:03Speaker 2: It's like, oh.
- 2:42:06Speaker 1: With good lyrics and good execution, it's a It's a
- 2:42:10Speaker 1: fucking amazing art form. Even if USA really did create it.
- 2:42:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't.
- 2:42:15Speaker 1: I don't want to believe that, you know, I think
- 2:42:18Speaker 1: they probably very they promoted it. What's really interesting is
- 2:42:22Speaker 1: the lack of big rock and roll bands. I know
- 2:42:25Speaker 1: Jamie's kind of defended this, but I think it's a fact,
- 2:42:28Speaker 1: no doubt, there is less big rock and roll bands
- 2:42:31Speaker 1: when we were a kid. When we were a kid,
- 2:42:33Speaker 1: rock and roll was everything. It was like rock and roll.
- 2:42:36Speaker 1: And if you liked rock and rap, like you are
- 2:42:38Speaker 1: a weirdo, you know, like I really became a rap fan,
- 2:42:43Speaker 1: like almost like silently, like secretly, because you got to
- 2:42:49Speaker 1: be a rock fan if you if you loved rock
- 2:42:51Speaker 1: music and you went to rock concerts, like that's all
- 2:42:53Speaker 1: you liked. But I was like, yeah, but this is
- 2:42:55Speaker 1: good too. You know, I'd like listen to ghetto boys.
- 2:42:57Speaker 1: I'd be like, you gotta listen to this, Come listen
- 2:42:59Speaker 1: to this. Ship is awesome.
- 2:43:00Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my range is absolutely ridiculous.
- 2:43:05Speaker 1: Green Room.
- 2:43:05Speaker 2: I just got Roy Orbison on vinyl.
- 2:43:08Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, oh my god.
- 2:43:12Speaker 2: And again that's one we're.
- 2:43:13Speaker 1: Gonna be in trouble for that, probably fuck.
- 2:43:18Speaker 2: And again Pretty Woman, much like Pink Floyd's Wish You
- 2:43:22Speaker 2: Were Here is like one of my when you get
- 2:43:24Speaker 2: into the radio stuff. It's kind of funny how some
- 2:43:26Speaker 2: bands and musicians get like type casted by their hit
- 2:43:31Speaker 2: whereas like Pretty Woman's kind of repetitive and easy, even
- 2:43:34Speaker 2: though it's a jam.
- 2:43:35Speaker 1: Right m hm.
- 2:43:36Speaker 2: But his other songs that like, I hadn't even heard
- 2:43:39Speaker 2: before because I'm like, this guy seems like he has
- 2:43:42Speaker 2: some fucking some hits and he does. Man, And uh,
- 2:43:47Speaker 2: you know what I mean by the Pink Floyd thing.
- 2:43:49Speaker 2: Is it always fascinated me that people go, oh, yeah,
- 2:43:52Speaker 2: I like Pink Floyd, wish you were here, another brick
- 2:43:54Speaker 2: in the wall, and it's like, damn it. It's because
- 2:43:56Speaker 2: those are the radio songs, because they can't play an
- 2:43:59Speaker 2: eleven minute long shine on You, Crazy Diamond or all
- 2:44:03Speaker 2: their real hits that they're real echoes, which is like
- 2:44:07Speaker 2: seventeen minutes and slow and fast and bluesy and then
- 2:44:11Speaker 2: jazzy and this and that.
- 2:44:14Speaker 1: Yeah, there were so many songs like that, especially from
- 2:44:16Speaker 1: like the seventies where they just took wild chances and
- 2:44:19Speaker 1: long ass songs like for famously Free Bird, Like record
- 2:44:24Speaker 1: executives are telling them like the beginning of it is
- 2:44:26Speaker 1: too slow, yep, and they're like, nope, this is the
- 2:44:29Speaker 1: song exactly. This is what it is.
- 2:44:32Speaker 2: Bohemian City.
- 2:44:33Speaker 1: Yep, there's another one. Yeah, a whole lot of Love, Yeah,
- 2:44:37Speaker 1: a whole lot of Love is a minute and a
- 2:44:38Speaker 1: half of fuck sounds and symbols and shit, it's weird.
- 2:44:44Speaker 2: I only recently got to see the Queen movie. Whatever
- 2:44:48Speaker 2: that is. Is that Bohemian Rhapsody?
- 2:44:51Speaker 1: So whatever, they haven't seen it?
- 2:44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I walked in on a part where it's
- 2:44:56Speaker 2: the record they're at the record executive's office, and he going,
- 2:45:00Speaker 2: this can't be the main single off of this thing,
- 2:45:04Speaker 2: And Freddie Mercury's like, dude, it fucking has and I'm
- 2:45:08Speaker 2: obviously not quoting this, but uh, And the record execs like, man,
- 2:45:13Speaker 2: you're saying gibberish at points, it's slow with a piano,
- 2:45:18Speaker 2: you're saying things that don't even make sense, and it's
- 2:45:21Speaker 2: fucking eight minutes long, Like what are you thinking? And
- 2:45:24Speaker 2: they're arguing back and forth and back and forth. And
- 2:45:27Speaker 2: his bass player, guitarist or one of the guys that's
- 2:45:30Speaker 2: in the meeting with this record execs sitting behind a
- 2:45:32Speaker 2: big fancy desk, points at the wall and goes, so
- 2:45:35Speaker 2: you were the record exec that made this huh, and
- 2:45:37Speaker 2: he points at dark side of the moon and you
- 2:45:39Speaker 2: see the record. Exec go ah, fuck, because what the
- 2:45:44Speaker 2: fuck was that? It starts with a heartbeat, has no
- 2:45:48Speaker 2: words for the first what however? Long?
- 2:45:50Speaker 1: Also, what is the deal with it aligning with the
- 2:45:53Speaker 1: Wizard of Oz? Crazy Roger says, it's just coincidental. I know,
- 2:45:59Speaker 1: but it seems like the universe organized it. Yeah, it
- 2:46:02Speaker 1: almost seems like evidence of the simulation. Yep, because it's
- 2:46:05Speaker 1: so good, the way it lines up, it's too good.
- 2:46:08Speaker 2: I've always said it's the craziest coincidence of all times.
- 2:46:12Speaker 1: I feel like it's evidence of the simulation. There's something
- 2:46:15Speaker 1: about it. There's evidence of like some weird, bizarre synchronicity
- 2:46:18Speaker 1: between those two pieces of art.
- 2:46:21Speaker 4: Producing that would have been near impossible, impossible, not like
- 2:46:24Speaker 4: you couldn't, but just.
- 2:46:26Speaker 1: And so things. Yeah, technology, yeah, so hard. Pink Floyd
- 2:46:32Speaker 1: would have had to They would have literally have to
- 2:46:34Speaker 1: watch it and then go over each beat and decide how.
- 2:46:39Speaker 4: High was the person that figured it out to right
- 2:46:42Speaker 4: right and discussed but like, how.
- 2:46:44Speaker 1: Do you notice that? Hold on, it's going, it's still going,
- 2:46:48Speaker 1: But meanwhile it's perfect, Like we've watched it before, it's perfect.
- 2:46:53Speaker 2: The lyrics are the scariest part. Which one is which
- 2:46:57Speaker 2: at one point when only when the only moment when
- 2:47:01Speaker 2: both the good Witch and the bad Witch are there.
- 2:47:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nuts.
- 2:47:05Speaker 2: And the wildest one to me is always when she's
- 2:47:08Speaker 2: balancing on the thing, you know, in black and white
- 2:47:11Speaker 2: and with the other farmers around and on the run,
- 2:47:14Speaker 2: that crazy blah blah bit starts and she falls off
- 2:47:17Speaker 2: at that exact moment and chaos is happening. It's crazy.
- 2:47:22Speaker 4: Is there a why in that conspiracy?
- 2:47:24Speaker 1: You know?
- 2:47:24Speaker 4: Like why would they have done that just to do.
- 2:47:27Speaker 1: It just for fundies? Because yeah, well, I mean, Roger
- 2:47:33Speaker 1: Water says it was an accident. I know. I'm just
- 2:47:35Speaker 1: saying like I know, I know. But the conspiracy theorists,
- 2:47:38Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I would imagine they think
- 2:47:40Speaker 1: that I brought the people that believed that it was
- 2:47:43Speaker 1: some sort of a coordinated conspiracy. It's like, why wouldn't
- 2:47:47Speaker 1: they say that, Why wouldn't they just say we we
- 2:47:50Speaker 1: lined it up with the Wizard of Oz. Yeah, they
- 2:47:53Speaker 1: said that it would make more people watch it and
- 2:47:54Speaker 1: more people listen.
- 2:47:56Speaker 2: Well they did pretty good off of Yeah, they.
- 2:47:59Speaker 1: Did pretty good. Who will we to give them advice. Yeah,
- 2:48:02Speaker 1: speaking doing pretty good. You're fucking killing it, dude. Congratulations,
- 2:48:05Speaker 1: it's awesome watching it all.
- 2:48:07Speaker 2: Thank you man.
- 2:48:08Speaker 1: You're taking all the hits. Keep on moving, keep on trucking.
- 2:48:10Speaker 1: Just makes it stronger on the next one, makes the
- 2:48:12Speaker 1: jokes better. New jokes are killing it. Yeah. Yeah, it's fun.
- 2:48:16Speaker 1: We're having a good time.
- 2:48:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best, working them out at.
- 2:48:19Speaker 1: The Mother Show. Yes, sir, all right, I appreciate your brother.
- 2:48:22Speaker 2: Thank you man. Hell yeah, by every buddy.
