- 4:20abroad to be a very good peaceful health field year.
- 4:29I am just coming off of the Hi the mental.
- 4:34Hi I guess you want to if you want to call it as such but you
- 4:37know riding the coattails of the festivities of Yol which My
- 4:43Tribe. Hurry.
- 4:44The folk had celebrated just this past weekend on the weekend
- 4:48of the You'll Moon month, early your mother.
- 4:55Or your manure, yellow monitor, my guess, is that the right
- 4:58pronunciation? Anybody that knows how to
- 5:00pronounce it correctly, go ahead and let me know down in the
- 5:02comments or you can write anybody gets your monitor.
- 5:08Anyway, the you'll month, right? You will Moon the full moon was
- 5:12on January 6th, which was the first night of historical
- 5:16Heathen, you'll and it goes for three nights.
- 5:19So our tribal celebration of your old was on Saturday.
- 5:24The 7th And this was a particularly fun and exciting,
- 5:29you'll because we for the first time both in a new member and
- 5:35took Oaths of positions of leadership ourselves.
- 5:39So for all of you folks here, that I may be wondering, what
- 5:40the hell I'm talking about. What in odense graybeard?
- 5:45What in Thor's? Redbeard, what in sieves Golden
- 5:49Hair? Am I talking about?
- 5:51Oh thing in someone and all this taking I was and blabbity blah
- 5:54that What today's podcast episode is about.
- 5:58I have mentioned, and actually done some videos before about
- 6:01Oaths and how they are more than just a promise, right?
- 6:06But you know, how content is out here?
- 6:08You gotta stay fresh. You got to stay relevant.
- 6:09You got to stay new. You gotta stay strong, you got
- 6:13to stay wise, you got to stay Heathen, man, you got to stay
- 6:19true. He got to stay together.
- 6:21All I know, all I know is. Oath can save the day.
- 6:27Alright, and that's all the singing that you're going to get
- 6:30out of me here on this on this podcast.
- 6:32Hopefully, forever. I am not a singer.
- 6:36I am not a musician. So we're just going to keep to
- 6:38the fact that I am a rambler. We are on the random Heathen
- 6:42ramblings. Not the random Heathen singings
- 6:44podcast, right? Then who got to throw in some
- 6:50levity, right? Talking about Oaths today
- 6:54specifically those that are sworn during your so as a recap
- 7:02I was just going to go back a little bit and tell you about
- 7:06the way that you know, my tribe and I mentioned before really
- 7:10really folk and that is quite literally just boards people,
- 7:16people of actually thundering store.
- 7:17I think through the depending on who you cite your sources, as I
- 7:23remember watching a Jackson Crawford video on literally and
- 7:31what that name of what that word means.
- 7:34And I think he gave a, some sort of information that suggests or
- 7:41the or that you know supports that it has something to do with
- 7:44a boar or hog or pig or something like that.
- 7:48And everything that I found has suggested, or supported that,
- 7:53there really is a name of Thor. And I believe the Old Norse word
- 7:58for that translates to thundering Storm Thunder.
- 8:02You know. So clearly the as the thunderer
- 8:05as we are everything folk of the thunderer's people, people of
- 8:09the Thundering storm and that's what we call ourselves as people
- 8:11of the Thundering storm and the name of our tribe started
- 8:16because of so many. Any instances where our tribe
- 8:21would? You know, host some sort of
- 8:25small intimate Gathering of ritual, right?
- 8:28We would, and we would start it, you know.
- 8:35Around, you know, the winter months in the summer months and
- 8:39we would do different ritual, Gatherings for different
- 8:44different things and early on it was, you know, not really
- 8:47historically based or rooted in any sort of historical sources.
- 8:51But as we've grown, we've leaned more towards adopting, a
- 8:57practice that favors historical reckonings at least when it
- 9:01comes to the holy Tides or holidays.
- 9:05Of ancient Germanic tribes. So, so many of the things like,
- 9:09I mean, I'm talking there would be thunderstorms, and the spring
- 9:13/ summer, there would be thunderstorms in the, in the
- 9:16fall and in the winter months. And yes, I say winter months,
- 9:20meaning like in January, we've had thunderstorms.
- 9:23And so in this part of the country in this, in the middle,
- 9:25Tennessee area of the of the of the Southern United States, you
- 9:31know, Thor just kind of comes and goes as he pleases and it
- 9:34doesn't really matter. This time of year or the seasons
- 9:37and all that. So his presence has been very
- 9:40active Among Us and of course, Thor in the lore and in the
- 9:44mythologies and in the stories is always been recognized as
- 9:48sort of the, Every Man's God as the god of the people, right?
- 9:52The protector of midgard. So not just because of that.
- 9:58But because of mainly his, his acts of presence Among Us during
- 10:03ritual purposes, it was I was almost a no-brainer that we go
- 10:07with that name and it would, instead of saying, you know,
- 10:09Thor's Kindred or Thor's, hammer kinder to the mjolnir people or
- 10:12anything like that. You know, we went a bit old
- 10:14school and gave him gave us the name of our tribe is, is a not
- 10:20one of Thor's names, which is very easy.
- 10:23So anyway, no. Thunderstorms this year for your
- 10:27butt. you know, this this year was our first you'll of oh thing
- 10:38someone in or or welcoming a new member to our tribe.
- 10:46And that process of welcoming them in included and involved,
- 10:52the taking and giving of Oaths. Now, some of you that may be new
- 10:58to, he, the ringer that may just be listening or tuning in or, or
- 11:02when I say, taking and giving right?
- 11:05I think a lot of people, maybe just automatically assume that
- 11:08an oath is something that is Taken, you know, you you take an
- 11:12oath or you give an oath, you know, take an oath of silence,
- 11:19like we hear terms like that, take a vow of silence.
- 11:21Take an oath of silence or you give your oath to accomplish
- 11:25XYZ, blah, blah, blah. Outright that sort of thing.
- 11:28Well, while there is some connection of correlation to
- 11:35that in any dramatic Pagan Germanic Heathen context.
- 11:40When I say taken, you know, all those that are taken in those
- 11:44that are given it means that there is more than just one
- 11:49person involved. Okay.
- 11:51Now if you are the type of person to promise to do
- 11:57something, you might use the term.
- 12:00I took an oath, you know, to whatever it is right, do
- 12:04whatever it is, say, whatever it is accomplish, whatever it is.
- 12:09And if it doesn't involve anyone else if there are Other people
- 12:14present then in the in the sense of what I'm speaking of now, in
- 12:20the Germanic he than since then, it is not truly an oath because
- 12:22in order for an oath to be an oath, then you need to have the
- 12:29the one who is taking the oath and the ones who are the one,
- 12:32who is giving the oath. So, the way that.
- 12:38And so I'm going to just add a little bit of Information.
- 12:43As far as what I mean by that, someone who takes an oath is
- 12:47swearing, an oath of something this that or the other, right?
- 12:51So that person is the oath taker.
- 12:53They are taking the oath. IE new members of our tribe.
- 13:00They take an oath. Then there's the oath Giver, the
- 13:05one or ones, who is giving this person their oath and entering
- 13:09into a will refer to, as an oath web, the oath web, once olds are
- 13:15exchanged or, oh, those are given and taken, right?
- 13:17What is, what is happening from, you know, again, the Norse
- 13:21perspective or the dramatic perspective is things are being
- 13:25tied together, threads of individual, people are now being
- 13:30intertwined and come together. And we are now Entering into
- 13:33this, this web of weird. Okay, weird being this,
- 13:41something that everybody has everybody has their own
- 13:43individual threads of weird, the the norns, but the Norden ear as
- 13:48an old nurses that they are, you know, thread The Weave, the
- 13:52threads of man, and gods alike, right?
- 13:55So, every individual person has their own weird to tie.
- 13:59And then, once an oath is given and taken between individuals.
- 14:03Those groups. What have you now?
- 14:06Those individual webs are becoming intertwined, right?
- 14:11So, the web is becoming bigger. There are other things
- 14:13happening. And so, it's a pretty
- 14:16monumentous Monument is momentous occasion, right?
- 14:20It is, it is something that is very profound to happen to enter
- 14:24into such a thing where multiple lives are affected and impacted
- 14:31by this and the reason why and you may see this and if you are
- 14:37a solitary practitioner, this may seem a bit foreign to you or
- 14:40you may going, you know, that sounds kind of weird like
- 14:43strange, but if you're a tribal type of heathen or a tribal type
- 14:50of person, or if you are the type of pagan who is interested
- 14:53in Becoming part of a collective becoming part of a Kinder
- 14:58becoming part of a try, becoming part of some sort of group or
- 15:02Collective of individuals. You may encounter, you may find
- 15:05that. That group of people has
- 15:08something similar set. Set up for them and it's
- 15:12different, for every tribe. Okay?
- 15:13Or it's different for every Kindred.
- 15:14Not every Kindred would have something like this.
- 15:16This is something specific to us.
- 15:18It is not something foreign in the, you know, the mines or the
- 15:23world views of many heathens, but it may not be something that
- 15:26you see across the board. It is not a universal approach.
- 15:29This is our approach and I'll tell you why.
- 15:34Before anyone is considered or even, you know yeah consider to
- 15:41be worthy of being a member and that may sound again strange for
- 15:45some people. But when I say worthy, I don't
- 15:46mean like, you know, worthy in the sense of what you might
- 15:50think of. In modern times what we were
- 15:51talking about is is that person What kind of worth does that
- 15:56person have and worth? All right, in the Germanic sense
- 16:02and in the Germanic Heathen, sends worth is not something
- 16:05that is one of, you know, I can't tell you what I am worth
- 16:13to you. You can't tell me what you are
- 16:17worth to me because we don't know each other.
- 16:21Some of you, I know. Alright.
- 16:22So there's going to be some of you that are listening and
- 16:23watching that are definitely people who have proven
- 16:28themselves of great Worth to me and hopefully I can't say this
- 16:33up myself. I can only hope and I can only
- 16:35you know you know yeah hope and pray that that that my worth has
- 16:40been established to others. But what I can save some people
- 16:44is that they're worth has been proven.
- 16:45They have proved their worth and how is worth proven worth is
- 16:49proven Through Deeds through actions, okay?
- 16:54And the were thing process takes time.
- 16:58You don't meet somebody off the street or out of a Facebook
- 17:02group or off of, you know, he sort of social media platform.
- 17:05You don't meet somebody and talk to them for days weeks months,
- 17:09right? And you, you can't really
- 17:13establish or prove, any one's worth in that way.
- 17:17You can become close friends, you can confide in one another.
- 17:20You you can develop at least on the surface, what would appear
- 17:27to be bonds of Fellowship, bonds of friendship bonds of kinship
- 17:30even, okay, and that is 100% true that has been 100% true for
- 17:37even long before social media ever came into into existence.
- 17:42I remember as a kid in school and throughout the years and
- 17:46whatever having pen pals, You would then for the younger
- 17:52generation, what the hell is that?
- 17:54You would basically start writing letters to people across
- 18:00miles across countries, right? This one time, I remember I was
- 18:04a kid. I went to Disney World with my
- 18:07parents. I was like, you know, again, I
- 18:08was like, 9, 10 years old, right?
- 18:14And we went to Disney World in Florida.
- 18:18And we met this lovely family who had kids roughly around my
- 18:23sisters age from the UK. And I don't even remember the
- 18:28specifics of the circumstances, right?
- 18:30I mean, there's literally thousands of people in this
- 18:32amusement park and wherever we were whatever we were doing.
- 18:36When we met been standing in line, strike up, conversation,
- 18:38whatever ended up having, you know, a brief moment of
- 18:43connectivity with these people and their kid, their daughter,
- 18:47forget, or even your name at this point.
- 18:50We exchanged addresses, you know, now in today, you know,
- 18:56it's always take out your phone. Let me, let me add you on
- 18:58Facebook. Let me follow you on Twitter.
- 19:00We had you on the, on the Instagram, right?
- 19:01Whatever. No man.
- 19:03Back in the day was look what you eat, what?
- 19:04You not even your email address. We didn't have the internet.
- 19:07Yeah, it existed but we didn't have an email addresses when I
- 19:10was 9, 10 years old, you know what your dress, write a letter.
- 19:16Every couple of weeks, month month or two, whatever we I get
- 19:20a letter, she'd get a letter from me, I'd get a letter from
- 19:22her whatever. We went back and forth and it
- 19:23didn't last very long. I don't think I don't again, I
- 19:26can't remember her name, but, you know, you would write to
- 19:31each other about things. You would establish a friendship
- 19:33that way and you could learn a lot of things long distance.
- 19:36So now in this modern time, right we got social media,
- 19:40everything is immediate You can learn a lot about somebody.
- 19:44You know, in like 15 minutes just by adding them on Facebook
- 19:48or Twitter or Instagram or whatever.
- 19:50I you can learn a lot from somebody by scrolling through
- 19:52their socials connecting with them in that way and learn a lot
- 19:58at least on the surface level and somewhat on an inner, you
- 20:02know, on a more dinner and deeper level because some people
- 20:05over share some people, go crazy with what they put out there on
- 20:08on their social media. So yes you can, you can
- 20:11establish friendships fellowships And the appearance
- 20:15of what might be kinship over long distance.
- 20:18I still maintain the fact that bonds of kinship cannot be
- 20:21established. Unless there is a, unless there
- 20:26is time for you to prove their worth and for you to prove your
- 20:29own worth to this person. So all of this, you know,
- 20:32brother this sister that Lala that you see in these Pagan
- 20:35communities and all that, I mean it ain't for me.
- 20:38I don't I don't just flat my jaw to every Tom Dick and Harry out
- 20:42here who wears a meal Or you know you know venerates the gods
- 20:48and goddesses of Northern Europe or anything similar to what I do
- 20:52and I just do Hey Brother. Hey this you know know now I get
- 20:56a lot of folks that that say this type of thing to me online,
- 21:01I don't take offense to it. I just want people to know that.
- 21:06I don't reciprocate in that way unless I have been given the
- 21:12opportunity to be proven T to that person as brother, and
- 21:16that, that person has been that I have.
- 21:18I have they have proved their Worth to me of receiving said,
- 21:22title of kinship, brother, sister, whatever.
- 21:25So for any of you that are listening and watching, right?
- 21:27If you are following me on my social media and you refer to me
- 21:31as brother, and I don't refer to you as the same or sister, or
- 21:35any other sort of kinship title in return.
- 21:38Don't take offense because we haven't met each other in that
- 21:42way. And we haven't established each
- 21:44other in that degree of closeness.
- 21:48Now, if you do see me reply to somebody's comment and call them
- 21:51brother or sister or whatever, then you should know then.
- 21:55The that person and me have done things worth each other, to
- 22:03establish a degree of Fellowship to be considered kin to one
- 22:10another. Okay?
- 22:12So anyways, going off on that tangent, coming back to Oaths
- 22:17and The Taking of Oaths when clearly folk, when we really
- 22:24started to establish ourselves as a legitimate tribe as a
- 22:29collective of people. And right now, we're still very
- 22:31small and I mean very small and I mean, we're in count on one
- 22:34hand, the amount of people who are literally Folk we had to
- 22:42establish our own, through our own Customs, our own laws as it
- 22:47were I'll probably do a series or something about what through
- 22:54is for those of you that don't know, but it basically means law
- 22:57is essentially the bones of the in and guard.
- 23:00It's the bones of the inner Hearth.
- 23:02It's the sting that establishes law and order for that tribe.
- 23:07Kindred, what have you so Arthur?
- 23:09Who should we determined? Should include a Worthing
- 23:15process. We are not just going to meet
- 23:17someone off the street at a park moot.
- 23:20Public gathering at a happenstance, you know, exchange
- 23:25of how you dues, right. We're not going to just say, all
- 23:29right? Well after that shake hands.
- 23:31You want to join our group. Yep.
- 23:32Okay. Hey Brother.
- 23:33Hey sister, you're welcome and that's it.
- 23:35No we established as through that we would have a Worthing
- 23:40process. And that Worthing process has A
- 23:50time period or a period of time, two laps.
- 23:56So, without going into specifics because that would Violate what
- 24:04my position in the tribe is, which is to preserve our tribal.
- 24:06Like, I'm not going to, I'm not going to share details of what
- 24:10we do in our tribe to any great degree.
- 24:12Anything that would potentially harm the luck of our tribe
- 24:15because I serve as Chieftain. Okay, that is what the group of
- 24:19people that we have together with.
- 24:21Our tribe has collectively deemed appropriate as my job is
- 24:27to be Chieftain. And The Chieftains job is
- 24:30amongst many things is to be the protector of The luck of the
- 24:34tribe and to make sure that nothing happens that we've been
- 24:36Fringe or be damaging to the tribes luck.
- 24:41So, anyway, tribal structure, we have one Loosely and one of the
- 24:48things again, about adding new members is that after they have
- 24:52proven their worth after said period of time, after said,
- 24:57specific things after it is decided upon by the Elder
- 25:00Council of the tribe that That? Yes, this person we would like
- 25:05to extend them an invitation to be a brother or a sister to, to
- 25:11our tribe, right? At that point.
- 25:15That person is going to. Then swear an oath that ties
- 25:20their luck ties, their weird with with ours, right?
- 25:23So we be we enter again into an oath web and so the and the neat
- 25:29thing about, you know, owes or at least our oath is that it's
- 25:32not you, you're you know, it's not some sort of, like, I don't
- 25:36know dictatorship where, you know, I swear to serve the king
- 25:42and under pain of death, a la Li da, di da, you know, It's
- 25:47nothing it's nothing quite that grave.
- 25:48You know and it's nothing quite that serious and again I don't I
- 25:54won't be going into details but suffice that to say an oath was
- 26:00sworn to collectively for a new member to become part of our
- 26:06tribe, and that person has proven their worth time.
- 26:10And again, since last year since 2022, Has become a very close
- 26:17friend of our family and, you know, again, displayed great
- 26:23Worth to us. So, again, worth is placed on
- 26:28someone by the people and then at the same time worth was
- 26:33placed upon us by this person, right?
- 26:36So this person would not have felt it comfortable, it wouldn't
- 26:40felt it wouldn't have felt right to, you know, swear an oath of
- 26:44fealty Swear an oath of loyalty to do something or to become
- 26:49part of something that, unless they felt comfortable with.
- 26:51So, the wording process is a two-way street, you need time to
- 26:56establish and to make that, you know, connection with somebody
- 27:01and they need that time to make that connection with you.
- 27:04So, again, it's a symbiotic relationship of exchange between
- 27:08parties between people That's what makes a tribe strong as
- 27:14what we feel so he's already been you know it's already been
- 27:19shared. It's always been shown to put it
- 27:20out on social media you know so are our newest member is Josh
- 27:25who we know as aloof or the wolf.
- 27:28This is a name. This is a title that is not
- 27:30just, you know, for funsies, right?
- 27:32This isn't just for, you know, because the the wolf is
- 27:36something important in Norse mythology, and Odin's wolves and
- 27:40And Wolves of Odin and Ernie and that nonsense.
- 27:42Now, this is this, this this was a name.
- 27:45Something that came to him long before that through his own
- 27:48personal ordeals. But yeah, so Olaf is our newest
- 27:52member and our now Goethe. So that's a really, that was a
- 27:59really fun and exciting thing to happen at our, yo, Le vent.
- 28:03Because again, this was a first for clarity.
- 28:06Focus was a first for us to have the opportunity to To welcome in
- 28:13someone who we've become very close with and who has come
- 28:17close to us. We've been in each other's
- 28:19homes. We've had many many meals
- 28:21together. We've done a lot of things to
- 28:24establish worth amongst each other.
- 28:27You know, to know that if something is needed, we can rely
- 28:30on one another, right? So, all of those things, you
- 28:34know, again create this this bond that.
- 28:40That establishes familial ties, you know it's again not
- 28:44something that you can just hang out of time or two with somebody
- 28:47and then I think oh yeah you guys are pretty cool people and
- 28:50now you're my brother. Now you my sister and all that
- 28:53not for us, not for her really folk.
- 28:54It's a working process, it takes time.
- 28:59And so this this you know, again, starting 2023 off with
- 29:04new member, a new goalie was really exciting for us and, you
- 29:08know, we're looking forward to Seeing what wolf can can do to
- 29:13bring more luck to the tribe and do well for the community?
- 29:16Because you know what, the go the does and what the go these
- 29:20position is is a leader of spiritual matters, you know.
- 29:24So for those in our community that are that are looking for
- 29:31somebody that they can You know, release their their worries or
- 29:37Unravel their Waits upon in the spiritual realm, right?
- 29:42The go, the, you know, I feel at least as is positioned to help
- 29:48with that. So we're looking forward to
- 29:51seeing that take place and hopes growth as a person and as a go,
- 29:55the that we're all a part of now, you know.
- 30:00And there was there was a lot of other things too.
- 30:02That that took place at you. Ah, but you know when when owes
- 30:05are sworn regardless of when they are sworn I mean like I
- 30:08mentioned before it's kind of a grave matter, right?
- 30:10It's it's serious business, you know, just nobody should at
- 30:16least enter into an oath web. haphazardly or, you know, with
- 30:23any sort of reservation, it should be done with a clear
- 30:29conscience with a, with a clear mind and with a, you know, a
- 30:32very I don't know. Yeah, just a very clear.
- 30:40Clear mind and clear head about it.
- 30:44It's different and it's more than than just the promise,
- 30:49right? And I've talked about that
- 30:51before, is that Oaths are more than just a promise.
- 30:57It's not that you're just promising to be a good boy or a
- 30:59good girl. You're not just promising to do
- 31:02something in and, you know, I swear on the gods that I will do
- 31:08it, you know, there's consequences to oh, those that
- 31:12have better that are broken or at least there should be there.
- 31:14There's recompense that should be paid.
- 31:16There's what we call Shield that should be paid.
- 31:19There, is there some sort of You know, if you fail to uphold your
- 31:24oath and let's face it guys and gals like let's face it,
- 31:26everybody. Messes up.
- 31:27There are there are times when even in the lore even in the
- 31:30sagas, I should say even in some of the you know it the more than
- 31:35700 sagas that we have available to us there, it's riddled with
- 31:39stories of a time when you know someone said they were going to
- 31:42do something and drop the ball fail to do, so couldn't do it,
- 31:45missed it, whatever it happens, things happen, you might, you
- 31:51know, No set out to achieve something of greatness or or or
- 31:56anything may not be just the greatest thing ever.
- 31:59But, you know, you met You may you know set an oath that you're
- 32:06going to accomplish a certain thing.
- 32:08And then when or if you don't there needs to be something in
- 32:12place to balance the scales out. Because when an oath is given,
- 32:16when an oath is sworn, an oath is taken, give an intake and
- 32:19sworn again, everybody involved is looped into the to the mix of
- 32:25things. So when the person who takes the
- 32:28oath accomplishes it, they now can Give a boast of it and they
- 32:34can say I've done this great thing and I have added to the
- 32:37luck, right? Well, if they can't come back
- 32:41and boast that they've accomplished what they set out
- 32:43to do, then there needs to be recompensed.
- 32:46There needs to be a payment. There needs to be Shield set and
- 32:53you know that Shield is set by certain other members or leaders
- 32:59of our tribe, right? We have a started.
- 33:02He started out as the name lost speaker but is now worth rule in
- 33:07the thule's job is, is to kind of set that That Shield has, it
- 33:13were set the set, the payments at the recompense.
- 33:17So, Again it goes It goes into being more than just I promise
- 33:24you know to do something and that's what's been lost.
- 33:26I think over time is you know promises vows people.
- 33:30When they swear on something right?
- 33:32They it's maybe get caught up in the moment of feeling the power
- 33:37of what is behind doing something like that.
- 33:39But they you know it if they're certain components not in place
- 33:43to set some of the things that I set said before in motion, then
- 33:48it loses its Gusto right. It doesn't carry the same weight
- 33:52as it does because people break their promises all the time.
- 33:55It will break vows even, right? They people exchanged vows
- 33:58wedding. Vows, I've been one of them
- 34:00right there. Were you exchanged vows between
- 34:03people to be loyal to do this? To do that, right?
- 34:07To be exclusive to that one person.
- 34:09And what happens, you know, those vows get broken and it's
- 34:13detrimental, it damages things long term for a lot of people,
- 34:20well, you know, and without the proper measures in place to You
- 34:26know bringing things back into balance.
- 34:30It's just a Perpetual turmoil it there's nothing there to take
- 34:37place of the ill that was dumped into into the well, right?
- 34:43So for anyone that is considering after everything
- 34:49that I've just said in and is pondering the meaning of the
- 34:51oath, right? And what that means. of all I
- 34:56would, I would, I would caution everybody and anybody that is
- 34:59thinking about becoming part of a group of becoming part of a
- 35:04kindred a tribe or whatever is is is if the you know, process
- 35:10to join, as you may want to just question and ask, you know, is,
- 35:13is there anything here that, that I'm required or expected of
- 35:18to do because for us in our group, in our Collective, you
- 35:22know, it is, it is We rely on one another.
- 35:27That's what the tribe is about. That's what I that's what H.
- 35:29That's how a tribe. Survives is that everybody isn't
- 35:35their own Island. Nobody's out here, just doing
- 35:37their own thing, not giving concern or care for the others.
- 35:41Everybody is independently industrious and they do, they
- 35:45can, and they can hint, they can handle their own, right?
- 35:47They they they roll their own ships, right?
- 35:50They they run their own house. Sovereignity of Hearth is 100% a
- 35:55component of our tribal through is that everybody's home is, is
- 35:59sacred and in Sovereign to themselves.
- 36:01So, There's nothing and nobody in clearly folk that can tell
- 36:04another member how to run their house, or how to run their home.
- 36:09But at the same time is, is there is, you know, is there
- 36:12anything that you are becoming a part of is, is what you're
- 36:16becoming a part of what you want to be a part of right?
- 36:18Or is everybody just kind of doing their own thing and not
- 36:20giving Karen concerned the others and also knowing that You
- 36:28know, swearing an oath in front of her, with other people
- 36:34intrinsically ties you in with their life, you know.
- 36:37So now instead of being just off by himself, wolf is now her
- 36:41really folk and has the protection and has the love and
- 36:48the care and the oversight of his tribe now because he's
- 36:53proven himself worthy of that. So, you know, again, I don't
- 36:58tell not here to tell anybody, how to do things, or what to do,
- 37:01or that they should, you know, only join tribes, or groups that
- 37:07have a, Worthing processor that have an oath in process of this.
- 37:09Or that all I'm saying is that when you are talking about
- 37:13combining your life with other people sharing space and time,
- 37:17whether it's ritual or any other sort of spiritual or religious
- 37:21activity is, you know, Think about what you're doing.
- 37:24Think about the gravity that the the severity the sovereignity,
- 37:29think about it, all right. Think about what you're doing
- 37:31and if these are the type of people that you want to tie your
- 37:35weird with all right, it's why we have the working process.
- 37:39It's okay. Well you want to be a part of a
- 37:41group. Well, we're a group.
- 37:43You want to be a part of us? Well, let's hang out a bit,
- 37:45right? Let's let's let's see what it's
- 37:46like to hang out with you. Let's have some meals together.
- 37:49Let's go on a hike. Let's do things. that's partly,
- 37:53I'll just Participate in activities that build
- 38:01friendships first. Let's let's get to know each
- 38:03other. Let's make sure that the life
- 38:05that you're living in the life that I'm living and we're
- 38:07living, you know, is not going to conflict with the tribes
- 38:12through in the tribes laws and the tribes structure in the
- 38:15tribes growth, right? Because again if if what someone
- 38:18is doing is not conducive to the growth of the tribe than hey You
- 38:24want to be part of a group of maybe this groups, not the one
- 38:26for you. The only way to know whether
- 38:30that is the case is to allow time to pass and allow
- 38:35relationships to build organically you know.
- 38:40And and then see how it goes. Prove each other's worth, prove
- 38:43yourselves to one another. It's not again, it's not just
- 38:45well, what can you do for me? Or what can you do for us?
- 38:48That's what can we do for you, right?
- 38:50So again there's this reciprocation, there's this
- 38:55Exchange of of weird exchange of gifts even you know, exchange of
- 39:01Life guys. You know, we share life together
- 39:05anyway. So if you're talking about
- 39:09Extending Your Inner Circle to others outside you know your
- 39:15kith the the people who you want to get to know bit better and
- 39:19establish familial bonds with you gotta give it time, you got
- 39:24it, you got to test it, it needs to be tested.
- 39:27It needs to be proven right? Anyway, there's my little just
- 39:32thing about Oaths, the O's I want to just briefly mention
- 39:37talking about you land. Wearing those that at you, all
- 39:41right? It was said, or it's been said
- 39:46that the, the oath sworn at you'll wear of a, particularly
- 39:54powerful nature or something like that.
- 39:56I'm going to go back and find the source material where it's
- 40:00mentioned. I want to say that it's probably
- 40:03in hamstring ler, so I got fucking the good or something
- 40:05like that somewhere around that time frame where you hear about,
- 40:08you know, I was being sworn in the bristles of boars and
- 40:13whatnot. Not and but I'll go back and
- 40:16I'll find the actual Source material.
- 40:17So it'll be annotated in the description of the video and in
- 40:20the show notes of the podcast. So just check that out when you
- 40:23get time. But yeah, the the oath sworn at
- 40:29you'll were believed to be of a particularly potent or powerful,
- 40:33so yeah you can swear owes any time but if you're swearing them
- 40:37at you'll then you've got all of that extra energy all that extra
- 40:42power, all that positive Of. This positivity with you, and
- 40:49then at your back as well, right?
- 40:51So you've got that added boost of luck, maybe even to carry you
- 40:57in that oath. Into the accomplishment.
- 41:02So you know there were other roads that were given and taken
- 41:07at our you'll which I will not share here and now because that
- 41:12is Nunya business man and it's not to be mean it's not to be
- 41:16rude. It's to again maintain and
- 41:18protect the The luck of those who have entered into that, that
- 41:26oath web. But the thing about it is, is
- 41:29that because those were sworn, because those were given and
- 41:32taken actions need to come forth, Deeds need to be done,
- 41:37work needs to be put in. So you will see And those
- 41:45especially in the Middle, Tennessee area will see the
- 41:49results of those owes being sworn because it has to be
- 41:55there. There's no other way for it to
- 41:58be accomplished. There's no other way for those
- 42:00that were given and taken. To be fulfilled without it being
- 42:06seen. So for those that for those of
- 42:11you in the middle, Tennessee area and the surrounding areas.
- 42:15Stay tuned, just for announcements things coming out
- 42:18of the midgard, musings, social media platforms, Facebook,
- 42:23Twitter, Instagram, and anything else that comes through.
- 42:28It'll definitely be share through those channels as well.
- 42:33Don't forget as well, that what I want to do here in 2023 is
- 42:37that if you are a heathen Pagan, you know, business.
- 42:42If you're a business owner, if you have a craft and I'm going
- 42:46to open this again, it was kind of hard to condense it into a
- 42:48short form content, but basically, you know, if you are
- 42:53a pagan bins and you don't have to be Norse Pagan, okay, or
- 42:56Germanic Pagan, if any sort of this is the right word, non
- 43:01traditional religious. Just okay.
- 43:05And again, it doesn't have to be Germanic paganism but if you are
- 43:07a Polytheistic business owner in, you could be a craftsperson,
- 43:13you can have provide a service, whatever it is, whatever that
- 43:17your service is again. It could be, I don't know,
- 43:20divination, music Consulting, I don't really care crafting, you
- 43:26know, wood-burning carving blacksmithing tailoring.
- 43:33I don't know, just anything. I put a call out there for
- 43:38anybody that wants. It's to have an ad here on this
- 43:40podcast. You got up, you know, minimum 30
- 43:44seconds up to a minute and a half.
- 43:46So 30 to 90 seconds long that you can get on a video, deliver
- 43:51your pitch think of it like shooting a commercial.
- 43:53Right? So I think, you know, a minute
- 43:55is, is most of your, real, and short form content that are
- 43:59being pushed really hard by the various platforms, and their
- 44:03algorithms is to engage with short form content, right?
- 44:06So, if you think about it, this is long.
- 44:09Kind of this is a podcast, but if you want to get your business
- 44:14out here on the airwaves on the podcast, waves in front of the

- 46:25out, and make sure that you knew what kind of thing that you're
- 46:30doing when you're talking about getting into the swearing of
- 46:33Oaks, taking a v, giving of Oaths, it's big business, you
- 46:38know. so don't enter into those things lightly or casually, you
- 46:46know, make sure that you're thinking things through and

- 47:33that's what it's all about. It's all about learning things
- 47:36together. And that's what I want for us
- 47:37here in 2023 is to grow together and to learn together and to,
- 47:42you know, get some get some good conversations during if it's not
