- 0:03Enough is enough, I don't have any shall share your shuck, and we
- 0:08hold the world ransom for excuse me while I whipped this ouse broadcasting live and
- 0:16Atlanta, Georgia to this. This is the sports shot Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23You may vegan, Jack comes, so comes, it comes along.
- 0:33Isn't just I'm a doer? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you
- 0:41made pill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, We're back. You're listening
- 0:47to the sports shock Show. I'm the sport Shock Wayne Candy. Super Bowl
- 0:52fifty eight is in the books a little anti climactic when you look at it
- 0:57from the standpoint. It was in Vegas, so you were looking for a
- 1:00lot of fireworks, and it was just a solid football game. Nothing to
- 1:07burn, nothing to toast, just a good, solid football game twenty five,
- 1:12twenty two to Kansas City Chiefs taking home their third ring. Patrick Mahomes,
- 1:21Travis Kelcey, Chris Jones and this team making enough plays. It was
- 1:26just one of those kind of games. Not a lot of memorable plays that
- 1:33are going to make some super highlight film. No double passes on either side.
- 1:40It was just some for the first half, some solid football both defenses
- 1:46doing a great job keeping things in front of them. Both quarterbacks having a
- 1:53decent day. I mean, when you talk about the seasons they put together,
- 1:59nothing necessarily to complain about. It was really more movement, more conversation
- 2:07about the young man from Atlanta and the halftime show that he put on.
- 2:14That seemed to be the biggest spark of this Super Bowl fifty eight was Usher
- 2:20and his performance. They even gave him if you didn't realize, gave him
- 2:23about four or five more minutes to perform and delight the crowd. I hope
- 2:30you have fun. The super Bowl, like we have been saying here on
- 2:35the show, has definitely found itself to being the winter fourth of July that
- 2:45in itself, as you can see, it has become a day of celebration.
- 2:50It has become a day of people want to go to hang out,
- 2:57regardless of they have a team, coorts or that. It's the second most
- 3:04food consumption as far as holiday. I would imagine maybe Thanksgiving, which is
- 3:10centered around eating, would go first, but the super Bowl, with the
- 3:17amount of food people come out in that spirit, you know, and it
- 3:23took place. It was a good super Bowl, nothing great, nothing boring,
- 3:29just two teams trying to win a Super Bowl and on this side Kansas
- 3:34City taking home their third Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and this
- 3:43chief team that really just found a way to win. And that's football.
- 3:51That is they you know one or two that they look superhuman was something else.
- 3:57This is typically just put the ball on the ground, figure out how
- 4:00at the end they have more points than the third team. Commandchi Greg went
- 4:05out to Las Vegas, got in. He sent a couple of shots of
- 4:10him and James Brown hanging out. You know, I don't know what you
- 4:15know, look like they was passing a little small something on fire to each
- 4:19other in the picture, but I know James has a card for it.
- 4:23That was a cigar. Uh yeah, I've never seen that. I never
- 4:30seen this cigar wrapped in white paper. They have those. Now, what
- 4:33flavor is that? What brand is that? It's a Vegas cigar, A
- 4:39Vegas cigar. Okay, got you, it's a Vegas I've seen him,
- 4:43Greg, he must have ran does I've seen him? But good morning to
- 4:51you. The crew is back in the building. Big Kenny, the funny
- 4:54man himself is here. COMANCHI, Greg is here, and the bad produce,
- 5:00sir has come back. Guys, you watched the game? Anything,
- 5:05did I miss anything? Was there anything about the game that stood out to
- 5:10you? No? Good morning sports jockey and crew and listeners. I felt
- 5:18informed when earlier in the week people were asking me who do I think was
- 5:24going to win? And I told them I didn't see any clear advantage.
- 5:27I said, I felt like this wasn't going to be one of those high
- 5:30scoring, super exciting airshow games. This was going to be a basic football
- 5:35game and in the end, whoever had more points was going to be the
- 5:39winner. And that's how it turned out. I thought the thought the halftime
- 5:44performance was awesome. I think that they could try a little harder with the
- 5:48commercials. Sometimes the commercials look like they've gotten a little jest, almost like
- 5:55social media. A bunch of emojis, recognizable images, and uh, some
- 6:00weird context and you got a Super Bowl commercial. So but it was an
- 6:05awesome game comagine. I thought. I thought it was a good game.
- 6:11It was good to just like just pay attention to the game instead of all
- 6:15of the the all the narratives that people wanted to get out there about about
- 6:23rock party or about about my homes, So I was just able to watch
- 6:31the game, and I thought brock Purty played pretty well. But you know,
- 6:35right after people I hear people saying that I'll see Cam Newton was right
- 6:42about the game manager coming up, like there's no connection between his comments and
- 6:47how brock Purty played last night. So uh yeah, I I it was
- 6:54just good to just get to watch the game without any of the distractions.
- 6:58And then the distractions came up right after bad Good morning, everybody up,
- 7:02great game, you know how what I tell you how I felt. So
- 7:06it was great for me to hear when you're in the room and everyone saying.
- 7:10You got people saying, oh man, this is boring this game.
- 7:12Oh it ain't nothing really happening. If you love football, you knew that.
- 7:15Gay, that was a great football game to sit and watch. Like
- 7:19Greg said, just to sit and watch the game. It was awesome,
- 7:24great representation, halftime show was great. Everything was good. I mean about
- 7:28all week. I mean it was low key all week. It really you
- 7:30know, you thought, being vague, thought that with being in Vegas,
- 7:34we would get some crazy Super Bowl stories and players come up messing going to
- 7:39Mexico or something, or but hey, it's glad everything turned out. Everybody
- 7:44got to play and it was a beautiful, beautiful night from Las Vegas.
- 7:47Well, you have two teams that didn't have any more skeletons in the closet
- 7:54right to discover, right. Uh, these two teams have been the last
- 8:00couple of years. The focus of the Chiefs centered around homes Travis Kelce and
- 8:07who he's dating. Really, after those two players, the other fifty one
- 8:13players get overshadowed. You don't learn anything about them at all. Chris Jones
- 8:22would come up third, but you start. It's kind of like when I
- 8:24was saying with the Falcon second receiver, the Chiefs team after those three or
- 8:28four people, if you're not a Chief, they don't mention those people's names.
- 8:33Tyreek Hill when he was there, Yes, but it really is not.
- 8:37And on the San Francisco side, it's the same thing. People want
- 8:41some kind And as I asked the last time we were together, I asked
- 8:46you about the brock party thing. I still don't understand what brock Purty said
- 8:50or did, or why he has to be minimized. I see him,
- 8:56and I see the young man for the Lakers, Austin Reed in the same
- 9:00boat that it's just two guys that nobody really thought were going to make it
- 9:07kind of making it doing some things and people hate them for it. They
- 9:13you know they I haven't heard them on some kind of political stand or neither
- 9:18one of them I even know talking talk. I don't remember interview. They
- 9:22had a lot of interviews. Well, people seem like, you know,
- 9:26the light kind of going off and they're taking advantage of their opportunity and a
- 9:31lot of hate goals their way. When you watch these and brought party had
- 9:35it about all you want from a San Francisco quarterback, I think in his
- 9:41second year, from going from mister irrelevant to putting this team in the super
- 9:46Bowl. So super Bowl fifty eight is in the books. When we come
- 9:50back, we'll break it down a little more, talk about the usher,
- 9:54talk about Pat Mahomes winning the MVP as well. Glad to be back with
- 10:01you, and then see what else come in. See Greg was doing.
- 10:05He says something about bunny ranches, or you said they changed the name.
- 10:09It's not just the bunny ranches. I'm sorry that that that's an animal ranch.
- 10:18It's all inclusive. They don't discriminate anymore. We'll be right back,
- 10:22but more than Sports doc show. Right after this, John't Bowl, Wayne

- 13:31no, no. Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day on
- 13:33the Sports Jock Show's taken it to a completely different level this year where we
- 13:39highlight an accolete that has taken their game to the next level. So,
- 13:46so what do you do? Oh boy? What y'all know about it?
- 13:58Super for Shutout em Magazine. One way to the Sport Shock Show. I'm
- 14:07the Sportshock Wing. Can'ty good morning, see you out there and listening land
- 14:11Glad to be here with you. The Kansas City Chiefs taking home Super Bowl
- 14:16fifty eight. They are right now the dominant team of their era. A
- 14:24lot of it starts with the brilliance of Andy Reid We like to jump sometime
- 14:33to different players, but this team starts with Andy Reid. Andy Reid was
- 14:39the first thing, the first domino that the Chiefs installed, getting him to
- 14:48come in be the head coach. He went out, grabbed Alex Smith from
- 14:54San Francisco, ran with him for two years while he had a young pup
- 15:00named Patrick Mahomes. Basically sit on the sideline and learn, and around year
- 15:09three he threw the keys over to Patrick Mahomes and they became what we've seen
- 15:16here overlized five six years, a team that, as they say, to
- 15:20beat it champ, you got to beat the champ. And that's the thing
- 15:24about the Chiefs. This year was more of a what they call lunch pale
- 15:31season. It wasn't any of that high flying. It was game the game,
- 15:37quarter to quarter, series, the series, I hope we get the
- 15:43ball back kind of make up play. Some of the most the most some
- 15:48of the plays even yesterday with Patrick Mahome, the most important plays were like
- 15:52some three art runs where he got a first down. But it wasn't any
- 15:56of that high what we were used to really went out. And that's why
- 16:02I can't express enough, not just for this game, is that yesterday's win
- 16:07was their whole season. Yes, this is how they won, and that's
- 16:11when. This is how you try to get your team to win. It's
- 16:14about it's not about style points that might work. When you're ranked in college,
- 16:21you're worried about putting on a show to make sure you stay in the
- 16:23top ten. And the NFL it's just about having more points. But Patrick
- 16:29Mahomes winning for the third time this one, you know, yes he had
- 16:34the three hundred thirty yards, but you don't really remember them. There was
- 16:41no kind of It was more of just dink and dunk. Take what this
- 16:45defense gives. But three Super Bowl rings, three MVPs, and a lot
- 16:52of people that I was watching the game with they were neither forty nine or
- 17:00or Chiefs fans, but they spend a lot of time hating on the Chiefs
- 17:07from a very interesting standpoint, which is always confuse me. And I'm always
- 17:14kind of confused by a lot of things outside of because you know, when
- 17:18you've played, like I tell people, a player never takes to feel worried
- 17:25about a point spread. I've never man, we got to beat them by
- 17:29ten. You know they can say we got to beat them by ten.
- 17:30That's not how I'm trying to make on the points. You know, I
- 17:45was go just let us live in that silence. But I can't help but
- 17:48laugh that dude, is he always like I said, the sportsman doesn't sit
- 17:56there. So him and Cavin Ridley the only people think you need to go
- 18:00out and try to do something. You're just trying to win the game.
- 18:06Uh, and you just throw my whole thoughts off about what I want to
- 18:11talk about. Sometimes, bad producer with your comments. They're just so bad
- 18:15timing. It's like getting the rim tap before I tell you. I've had
- 18:22that happen. But what I'm talking about you're talking about people bring me back
- 18:26the minutes. Well, first, the defendant said, what sir, you
- 18:32you were talking about how a lot of people seem to be against Patrick Mahomes.
- 18:37Okay, there the reason that he was winning. And that's why they
- 18:42pay stenographers to keep Because I had to get back because this guy will get
- 18:49you. And and injunction on you, sir, we held you in contempt
- 18:55the court that the question, uh, control your know you actually didn't ask
- 19:00the question. That was no question. You made us control your client,
- 19:06please, But I was saying that It was more pro I'm tired of the
- 19:12Chiefs winning yeah crowd than it was I'm a forty nine er fan, and
- 19:19I was sitting there thinking, you know, I specifically remember this happening to
- 19:26someone like Lebron. Yes, he's had it people, He had gained some
- 19:34haters based on just the winning part. Tom Brady and the Patriots main haters,
- 19:41much hate. They already had some haters. They gained some haters.
- 19:47Tim Duncan and the Spurs much hate, gained a lot of haters just because
- 19:52a style right, it started becoming him tied and and look he won't even
- 19:57dunk. Look look at him drop stepping right? Why would they? Why
- 20:03would you drop step? I trade him, I trade them. I'm tired
- 20:07of seeing this group together, I mean, passing the ball to each other
- 20:14and running back on defense. How dare all five of them run back on
- 20:18defense? Well, it sounds like you're trying to keep the score low and
- 20:22that you're trying to stop the other team from scarring. Give them a chance.
- 20:27So and the Chiefs have reached that. But I don't remember this with
- 20:32the Kobe Shack winning. You the man from North Carolina won six rings in
- 20:40like eight years. I never heard nobody say I'm tired of Michael Jordan's winning
- 20:44champions. Do you do you remember? I don't remember Floyd Mayweather. You
- 20:48might be mad that Floyd keep picking opponent number thirty five right undefeated, not
- 20:56watching break. We'll come back and talk about it on the other side of
- 21:02the break. But that was just a couple, and I'm quite sure on
- 21:04the other side of the break we'll find others. But in the last recent
- 21:08amount of years, I just remember the chiefs have fallen into that. I'm
- 21:15tired of you winning eight We'll be back with more to the Sports Jock Show
- 21:18right after this. And money because I knew how it is. Man on

- 24:52this War Shock show, I'm this wor Shock Wayne Game to Good Morning.
- 24:56Tell you if you miss any of the show at any point. We do
- 25:00have replayback on Apple Podcasts, on Spotify, Amazon Podcasts, Deezer, iHeartRadio,
- 25:10and Audible wants to show goals off Super Bowl fifty eight. In the
- 25:15books, the Kansas City Chiefs are the winners again. I say that because
- 25:19that's how we left off in the last segment about Kansas City and the way
- 25:25that they have played and won quickly gained haters just because of the winning,
- 25:33and we were trying to get down to the bottom of why there's this group
- 25:37that nothing is done wrong, but when they win, they gain haters,
- 25:44but when other groups or people win, they gain support. We were giving
- 25:51examples like the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe, nobody was upset the dominance in
- 25:56the winning Michael Jordan, and then the Bulls, nobody was upset. Floyd
- 26:03Mayweather Tiger was Serena Williams Tiger. Yeah, nobody everybody was win more,
- 26:10Serena, when more? When more? What's the boy's name? Yokovic the
- 26:15tennis player. He's won like everything forever, and nobody's like I hate that.
- 26:22On the flip side, we have people like Lebron James. We have
- 26:26people, uh like the San Antonio Spurs with Tim Duncan. We have Duke
- 26:33the Blue Devil. People started hating Duke for all the winning they were doing.
- 26:38It wasn't particularly that Duke had some player that they were a beautiful They
- 26:45weren't doing anything. Nobody was cheating or you know, anything like that.
- 26:49They didn't have any controversy. People just they got tired of them winning all
- 26:56the time. But on the flip side, like his but somebody Elver says
- 27:00that to the Targeels you know, it's just funny how it really is.
- 27:06Like so, I never buy that because I have just as many examples of
- 27:11where you didn't hate this team. They were upset and they booed Jerry Rhyansdorf
- 27:18is that his name, yeah, Jerry Crowson for breaking up the team.
- 27:23They wanted to win so much more. They booed this man at his funeral,
- 27:27Hall of Fame induction or whatever. It was a different time. It
- 27:33was a different time. Yeah, but my husband did though, And but
- 27:37you know what he did. He want he wants din what he do,
- 27:44you're supposed to boot. He had to refresh the team, that's what he
- 27:47called it. Okay, what refreshing them, we called it. And see
- 27:52that that's well. I mean I like to add Golden State to that list
- 27:57because they get that like they should trade or want to break them up or
- 28:02to get that hate. That's sort of that same thing that I haven't gotten
- 28:07that. Yeah, I've heard, No, I haven't seen it with Golden
- 28:10State as much as I've seen it with Draymond Green of Golden State. They
- 28:15kind of feel like he's some sort of bully allowed to run rough shot through
- 28:18the NBA and somebody. But I see a lot of people hating on the
- 28:22fact that, you know, with Steph Curry and I hear it a lot.
- 28:26But my thing is also with with the winners like Michael Jordan or or
- 28:32Carolina or the other teams that you said you, I think you win with
- 28:36grace and humility and if you you act like you've been there, and then
- 28:40there's some who that cocky to arrogance, and then if you do win,
- 28:44you don't lose, and if you lose, you still you know, you
- 28:47still got that one. Well the Spurs, the Spurs didn't. Well,
- 28:52we always got plenty of time because all we got is the super Bowl.
- 28:56They ain't show nothing yesterday. If you had two games and they was like
- 29:03black had a TV on the sideline looking at the highlights for the sting the
- 29:07super Bowl preparation. Uh, you say that, but that's what That's what
- 29:11we're saying. The Spurs didn't have any kind of anything disposition. They didn't
- 29:18play with this cockiness. Uh you know of any kind of way that I've
- 29:23ever saw. So how does that when you say that the Spurs didn't do
- 29:27it like that? I never got that from the Spurs. I never heard
- 29:30a lot of people say that they hate the Spurs. Maybe it was because
- 29:33of the lake they was in the time with the Lakers era, era with
- 29:37Kobe and Shaq. Who are you saying, who is your reference to when
- 29:41you say they was gaining haters because they was winning in a cocky way.
- 29:47Well, let's say you look, let's look for example, that the nineties
- 29:52Dallas Cowboys team. That's that arrogance, that's you know, that's who I
- 29:56could use, as you know, just off the top of my head.
- 29:57But besides some the other ones that you put. Anyone hating the Cowboys of
- 30:02the nineties, and I think what? And I think with sports Jock again,
- 30:07to get back to the root of his premise, it was that these
- 30:11people are only winning. That's the only thing they're doing to garner all of
- 30:18this hate. They don't have any flashy, ridiculous players, they don't have
- 30:22any head office drama with people making incendiary statements. There's no political attachment.
- 30:30I can't or can we add Lebron to that Lize Investi case because let's getting
- 30:37that hate. Well again, he just wins. I think, what hold
- 30:40on because I need to. We got to loop you back in and what
- 30:42we're talking about, Yes, we're talking about people gaining hate. The Kansas
- 30:47City Chiefs have gained haters simply for being winners and always winning. Whether they
- 30:56win the championship or not, they're always in the mix. Yes, and
- 31:00that has people. I even saw an article where they're calling it the Kansas
- 31:04City Chiefs fatigue. Right, But there was a lot of tigue Lebron.
- 31:11People got tired of Lebron going to the finals. Forget whether they wanted it
- 31:15was just ready and and but they never got tired of other people doing that
- 31:22same kind of winning. I think the Kents see things the last thirteen games,
- 31:26they've been pushing the Swifties and all the other stuff in our face.
- 31:29The Kansas City Chiefs hasn't been doing anything any of that. Actually right now,
- 31:36in my opinion, it seems to me that this is the only time
- 31:38that you've seen a dynasty like the Kansas City Chiefs, and that's what they
- 31:42are now that has been this humbled and understated. Andy reads like they're trying
- 31:49to be anti quite anti hype. They got enough with the swifty thing and
- 31:56now they're just like I said yesterday, looked like we've got some business to
- 32:00finish. We'll do all of this hyping and everything after the game. And
- 32:05let me say this, and the reason why I say hard for me to
- 32:07see San Antonio is like the respect that I have for coach Popovich and Andy
- 32:13Reid, those type of coaches, they're those those gentlemen, They are very
- 32:17humble coaches. They they go in about their business, they're about the players.
- 32:22So that's why I'm saying it's hard, and these people would still send
- 32:24them. Hold on, let's let's I'm gonna try this one more time,
- 32:28bad producer, and maybe the elevator will go up before it won't You just
- 32:31you just keep opening refrigerator knowing it's empty. I am talking about people people
- 32:37are simply hating. There's certain people that got hater. Their hate grade went
- 32:43up only because they was winning. Even the Patriots. What did the Patriots
- 32:53do? They were they would have San Antonio Spurs football. They didn't have
- 33:01anybody other than Grunk and Grunt was only seeing as wild because he had nine
- 33:06brothers and they used to fight. What can I say that there was a
- 33:09villain? Brady and Belichick, everybody loves Grunt. What was their villain from?
- 33:15What did they do? Deflay the Raiders game? All the different things?
- 33:22What's it they do? Because they didn't do the Raiders game. I
- 33:25didn't make They wasn't on the field calling the flag. That was something that
- 33:31that had nothing to do with me. We're talking about like Big Kenny is
- 33:36saying, well, I'm out choking people at night and then I'm robbing people.
- 33:39That happens. I'm an alcohol I show up drunk. I've been leaving
- 33:45my kids. I pushed somebody like Draymond slapping people in the mouth. With
- 33:50this society, they're champion stuff like that now more than the person that's doing
- 33:55the right thing. We see it with Dreamond. They hate Draymond for doing
- 34:00that kind of stuff, but they're not hating on Golden State for winning.
- 34:04But not Yeah right, that's yeah, that's what we're saying. Well,
- 34:07I've hear so many people hate on Golden States. I'm tired of seeing Golden
- 34:12State. Well does it? Do you think it comes from that? Like
- 34:16some people people have made up in their mind who they want to win,
- 34:20and they will hype them up however they want, and then when it's someone
- 34:23else, then the hate comes from that disappointment, like someone some somebody they
- 34:30wanted. They wanted the forty nine ers to win, or they wanted Buffalo
- 34:32to win, or they I they want Justin Herbert to be MVP. But
- 34:37when it's somebody else, that kind of goes against whatever they had in their
- 34:43mind. They didn't want the Chiefs to win, and then the Chiefs won
- 34:45again and then it's like that disappointment and anger. It's not even that deep.
- 34:51I think that people have short attention spans. We're so used to being
- 34:53able to flip the channel and watch something different, will change your state.
- 35:00Want to see something different. I've been watching this two three years. I
- 35:02want to see something. I'm not even really connected to the game anyway.
- 35:06I'm just looking for the new outfit. I'm looking for the spring new thing
- 35:10with the forty is the new thirty. It's that's what we're doing. And
- 35:15we see some people establish themselves through hard working determination, and that gets boring
- 35:21to us. I've sat with people and different groups of people and they say
- 35:27that same tagline, and there's a group of people that do has one or
- 35:31one even more. I've never heard anyone say they're tired of Serena Williams because
- 35:37she wins. Never heard that. I never heard anybody say they were tied
- 35:44of Michael Jordan in his era with the Bulls. I don't want that no
- 35:47more. I've literally in different sets, different age groups, they say that
- 35:52about the Chiefs, Right, why are you going for the forty nine ers?
- 35:58Why are you going to for Baltimore. I'm tired of the cheek.
- 36:00All they do is win. I got a thirty second I got a thirty
- 36:02second time span of attention. We'll be back Mooring a sports talk show right
- 36:10after this. Magnetic got one. Now relax and get on your back.

- 39:15back to the sports John Wayne Yandy. Between between logon, say you can
- 39:39see a sports jaint, I'll sing even jany way back to this WY Shock
- 39:46show. I'm this wr Shock Wayne Gandy. A couple of more things coming
- 39:51out of Las Vegas in city. The super Bowl happened, the Kansas City
- 39:58Chiefs one peating, the forty nine ers, Ussher performing NFL just just take
- 40:07usher, as I have been saying and sang and sang, that is nothing
- 40:16against because you got a lot of little NFL PA things. And if you
- 40:21want to hear certain people perform, let them do it on the night before
- 40:25the super Bowl at the NFLPA party or the NFL party. Stick to performers.
- 40:35Yes, forget all that, Oh they're from this city and you gotta
- 40:38find somebody. Forget that and just stick to the ten twelve people who they
- 40:46allready they're performers. Usher is plug and play one and two and step and
- 40:55stop. We ain't gotta figure out how we got to get the DJ to
- 41:00speed, to sung up, none of that to make it clubby. We
- 41:04ain't got to get back up. Dancers train, they travel with me.
- 41:08I'm bringing my dancers. We're gonna do the show I do regularly and you
- 41:14and it's enough. Most of them are in the pop but there's a variety
- 41:19from color to height to gender. If they're performing, if their show is
- 41:27about being a performer in that category, we kind of created and called it
- 41:32pop music. Yes, most pop artists are performing. People call them people
- 41:38up stop all that. I'm gonna get this hip hop person or adell to
- 41:45figure out how to give a sixteen minutes because that's all. Usher kept the
- 41:49tempo right. They made me turn the lights off. They wanted to watch
- 41:55the whole show and the dogs. It was a real concert, so I
- 42:01had to turn the lights off. My mama had her light up in the
- 42:05air, going back and forth. That's what you know. A couple of
- 42:07years ago with Justin Timberlake, uh if Rihanna hadn't been pregnant with child,
- 42:15so you're stay in that vein. But don't let public keep making you feel
- 42:20like if you're in Seattle, you gotta find a Seattle artist that might be
- 42:25world renowned, right, but they do they don't perform, they do folk
- 42:30us. It would be it would be certain mix of life, right,
- 42:35And That's what I'm trying to say. And he got so he gonna do
- 42:37the extended version of Baby Got Back fourteen. You let him perform Saturday night
- 42:45at the NFL Park. Let fishfall that night. Also all those people,
- 42:50find all the and just keep rolling them back. And by the time you
- 42:53get back to Ursa, people be ready for it again, be ready for
- 42:59it again. Just take them in and keep rolling them. And did you
- 43:01did you notice how last night usher? Because he's ready, that's what he
- 43:06does. There was no elaborate set design, There was no stage floating.
- 43:09They were on the field. They just moved people back, turned on some
- 43:14lights and they performed. You wouldn't you weren't. No one was afraid that
- 43:19he was going to fall on the roller skates, none of that, None
- 43:22of that for months, so I know exactly. But when you have Dolly
- 43:30Parton walking up on the and some high heads years old, I can't even
- 43:38hear her voice for fear she might fall everybody else and they know they wrong
- 43:43and had to go on top of the roof and then make it disappear because
- 43:45you had to do all those things to make it just stick. That's that's
- 43:49the thing I took from the show Stay with people, that that's what they
- 43:54do. They performed and did you did you hear everybody singing the lo with
- 44:00Usher? That's one of the first performances I've ever seen where the audience was
- 44:04all I was gonna say besides Usher Prince when the Colts and the Saints play
- 44:10when the Ranks started raining and it was they started when they were singing Purple
- 44:15Rain, I thought about purple range. Those probably top two in my lifetime.
- 44:22Ussher and Prince probably the top two performance I've seen at the Super Bowl.
- 44:25Okay, just stay in that vein comand you what do you think of
- 44:29the show? I like the show, like you said it was, it
- 44:32wasn't too elaborate, uh for the The main big part of it was the
- 44:38with the roller skates. I liked the all the cameos, Alicia Keys,
- 44:44Luke, Chris Little John. Did we see some Coach Prime effect. They
- 44:46had Jackson State's band. Yeah, Jackson Sonic boom performer. He has no
- 44:52connection to Jackson State. He has no connection to HBCU. Well, it
- 44:57was that, but they got prominent the steps with Coach Prime. Most of
- 45:01the music is dramas are produced like h boy. You think he should have
- 45:06brought one of the HBCU bands from Atlanta, Well, he had a high
- 45:12school from Atlanta in his Super Bowl commercial. I thought it was them when
- 45:15I saw them, I thought it was them, but it ended up being
- 45:19Jackson Jackson State, and I just didn't understand there. But they had the
- 45:23highest profile of the HBCU bands because of their connection to Coach Prime. And
- 45:30I guess the HBCU bands here in Atlanta don't have a lot of band fanfare,
- 45:35do they what Mars Brown did at one time when the outcast Excuse me,
- 45:40no, I'm saying, I'm saying they don't. Well, Mark,
- 45:44I'm just saying, at one time, Mars Brown was like the band of
- 45:46the Atlanta area. When they had the Battle of the Bands in which year
- 45:51was that? That's probably right before what they when they lost their creditation two
- 45:54thousand and nine, probably two thousand and eight, but they they've always been
- 45:59Mark eighteen years ago. Well, well, if you drumline Janney Brown played,
- 46:04that was supposed to be Marsh that was Mars Brown. Every year did
- 46:07that at Anti that was two thousand and two. Well against Atlanta twenty two
- 46:13years ago. Well, I'm just but you asked he asked the question.
- 46:15I mean, he said, what the Atlanta band president. I'm saying Mars
- 46:19Brown was the last one. But in the full context, he's talking about
- 46:22relevance. But that's why he went and got Jackson State, or he could
- 46:24have went and got the blue and gold of Ate North Carolina Antique. He
- 46:28bought a HBCU band because a lot of the music is produced, got the
- 46:32drum sounds or you know, hey, the band sound. He listens to
- 46:37what he can come in on. He doesn't listen to what we say.
- 46:43He skips over that point. He listens to reply not understanding, right,
- 46:45because I never said there was no other HBCU. Never said that. I
- 46:50was saying throwing out the question that I right now, there's no band in
- 46:54Atlanta. Because everything that USh was trying to bring to you had a town
- 47:00right tag on it. Yes, and that's all I was asked what was
- 47:06the connection. We'll be back with more of the Sports Shock Show right after

- 49:30Court on Sports News Gossip Blah, blah blah blah blah. Did it what
- 49:40you wait? Back to the show the Sports Shop, Wayne came to Good
- 49:59Morning, tell you we'll get back into some more of the Super Bowl in
- 50:04the next hour. We got to talk about Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift,
- 50:09Patrick Mahomes' dad, his wife, his brother Jason. You know, we
- 50:15got some more Super Bowl. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs, one of
- 50:20those teams that for a long, long long time, the Chiefs was one
- 50:25of those teams. They had good teams and it just seems like they could
- 50:29never get over the threshold. And finally in this last decade under the leadership
- 50:36of Andy Reid, they have turned that program into a dominant and starting to
- 50:43spread out because they really are a local really just right there. Half the
- 50:49people don't know whether they're in Missouri or in Kansas, just right there on
- 50:52the border. So one player lives in Kansas and the other than lives across
- 50:57the street in Missouri. That's out of Kansas City. Team is split.
- 51:04But Cheryl Swoop the legend versus Caitlin Clark, the legend versus Angel Reese,
- 51:15the legend, all of that stemming from the greatness of Cheryl Swoop being interviewed,
- 51:22and I cannot understand what Cheryl Swoop. Like a lot of people in
- 51:29our society today, you bring a question to me, I answered the question.
- 51:34I haven't done anything before you ask me the question or ask I gave
- 51:37you my honest opinion, and then from that you start trying to prosecute me
- 51:45or persecute me for just answering what I thought. And this stems from something.
- 51:51Half of it comes from the bad producer. The other half came from
- 51:53Commandchee Greg and I got Audi few on it, and I finally, oh,
- 51:59okay, let me hear the legend Cheryl Swoop, and let her say
- 52:01it in her own words. I think you remember that it's okay, Well,
- 52:14Caitlin Clark be a good pro Absolutely will Caitlin Clark coming to the w
- 52:20n b A and do what she's doing right now immediately? Absolutely not not
- 52:28gonna happen. So that is Cheryl Swoops giving her opinion about the Iowa legend
- 52:35Caitlyn Clark. She also added Angel reeson there down the road about really just
- 52:43as you hurt her stress, they're gonna be great players, good players at
- 52:49the next level, which is the w n B A. But it won't
- 52:52be immediately right because the content that was the full immediate impact in her mind
- 53:00for what and that you can that's a safe bet for anyone who's left college
- 53:06and went to the pros to note that that first year, that second year,
- 53:12uh based on where you go. Because remember a lot of times,
- 53:17if you like a Caitlyn Clark angel reach, we're talking about the top pick,
- 53:22the number one two pick in the draft, it's usually how did you
- 53:25get there? And because the team was tracked, you got there. So
- 53:30typically like a Bryce Young bit this year going to the Carolina Panthers, like
- 53:36the legends like of Peyton Manning. You know, yeah, it seems like
- 53:39Peyton Peyton threw about fifty interceptions that first year and he finally figured it out,
- 53:46got a little better talent in there. Troy Aikman, the same name
- 53:50with your team, COMANCHI got the Dallas I think they won one game,
- 53:53two games or something. He didn't start that one game and didn't even that
- 53:55they wanted. He was just had eighteen first peak first right quarterbacks. Now,
- 54:02Caitlin Clark, who's about one or two more games from all time record
- 54:07of scoring for college basketball for women's I have been saying since I've been watching
- 54:15her all year, She's the Steph Curry of college basketball. Her limit is
- 54:21her range is I'm in the gym. That's her range. She can shoot
- 54:25from the logo and it's not a mistake. Shot clock is not running down.
- 54:30She can hit the three. Cheryl swoops has played, she's coached,
- 54:35so she definitely is an authority to be able to weigh in on this.
- 54:40Now. This call is that first half was something that was stimulated by comanchie
- 54:47greg The second half of this is stimulated from the bad producer from the standpoint
- 54:54that the IOWA faithful at I guess yesterday's game, but all week was wearing
- 55:01from the time this interview, some of them was wearing don't be Cheryl t
- 55:07shirts at the game, and the bad producer had took issue to them doing
- 55:16that. Yeah, don't be a Cheryl is what the shirts say. Basically,
- 55:20they taking it from that don't be a Karen. So that's in reference
- 55:27to Cheryl's who because she also said that when they asked Cheryl if you heard
- 55:30an interviewed asked about her being in the taking advantage of the COVID and that
- 55:36she feels like the chase is illegitimate for her to score a record because of
- 55:39the extra years. It's years that she's using to do this. No,
- 55:42that's not true. So I don't know what you're what you heard, and
- 55:46I'll go back because Caitlyn Clark, this is her fourth year. Now,
- 55:52she could have been referring to that maybe a couple of players were not playing
- 55:54for other teams. That's not in her control. But when she breaks this
- 56:01record of Kelsey Plum, she would have done it in the same fewer games
- 56:06in four years. So make sure when you go to because you're saying this,
- 56:14and I'm making sure you understand she'll be on Caitlyn Clark when she breaks
- 56:20this will be about five six games fewer than and they did after the coach
- 56:30and then Cheryl went on to say, you know, then there's a lot
- 56:32of people saying that just because last year when at the l s U one
- 56:37uh and they beat Iowa, the White House still wanted to invite the loser.
- 56:44So you know it's like this, like, man, hold on,
- 56:45let's let the young lady do something. Y'all just trying to ordain her at
- 56:51this Well, you thought the White House was going to continue to invite people
- 56:54and they say no, and they were never gonna come up with a continue
- 57:00playing, because that's what they keep paying me eight hundred one hundred thousand dollars
- 57:05to contingency tendency plan. I'm on the contingency plan. A stupid up here,
- 57:10just in case l s U tell us know, And that came straight
- 57:15from the command that chief, just so we don't look stupid up here.
- 57:19Those were his word, just so we don't look stupid up here. I
- 57:22need you to come up with a contingency plan case ls you be too black,

- 59:04of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only
- 59:08forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me
- 59:13and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we live forever
- 59:15life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind, what about you?
- 59:19Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a
- 59:22kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 59:24survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant.
- 59:28Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your family security no matter what
- 59:32stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about
- 59:36whether I leave my family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy,
- 59:38whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a little or a lot,
- 59:43All you need is the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of
- 59:45security, because without you, your family will have two options, benefits or
- 59:51bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits or bills?
- 59:55Dot Com? That's benefits or bills dot Com? Enough is enough.
- 1:00:07I don't have any r s. Serier shuck and we hold the world ranchom
- 1:00:13for excuse me while I whipped this out broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:00:21This this is the sports shock Ship with Wayne Dandy. You make Vegan dang
- 1:00:30sure, Frank me t come til five comes. It comes to North isn't
- 1:00:36just I'm a doing bah. I'm gonna go on the way you made Pill
- 1:00:45Vegan, Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm the Sport Shock Wayne
- 1:00:49Canny, Good morning, tell you it is my day's raining here in at
- 1:00:53Atlanta. But last night, in an overtime drive to win the Super Bowl,
- 1:01:00and if you know football, you just get that feeling and you kind
- 1:01:05of felt like, where is Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Lions.
- 1:01:09You just wanted shannonhan the Kyle Shanahan to turn into Mike Campbell for a
- 1:01:15couple of plays there, because I would have went for I would have ran
- 1:01:20an offense. I wouldn't kicked that field goal in overtime. I would have
- 1:01:23literally went in with the mindset that I'm not either I'm winning the game now,
- 1:01:29but I'm not giving the ball back to Patrick Mahomes. Ever Ever,
- 1:01:32when they were down there, I think there was like second in something on
- 1:01:36the ten, I would have just had let the guys. I might have
- 1:01:39called the time out. Look fellas, that's it. In three plays,
- 1:01:45we either gonna be crying tales of joy or y'all gonna be mad at me.
- 1:01:49But we a yeah, I'm gonna tell you up front, but I'm
- 1:01:52not kicking this field goal, So don't come over here, right, I'm
- 1:01:57not kicking this field goal. We either gonna be cause in overtime, the
- 1:02:00team to gets the ball first. If you go down and score a touchdown,
- 1:02:04the game is over. Yes, they changed that in the Super Bowl
- 1:02:07for it's for the for the playoffs, if both teams will get a chance.
- 1:02:13So even if the touchdown after last year, the Chiefs will get a
- 1:02:17chance. Gotcha, terrible rule. Then it's just for the that's ocean.
- 1:02:23It's just for the playoffs. So it's not for the it's not for the
- 1:02:27super Bowl or that super Bowl is included. If you take you take it.
- 1:02:30You're taking way too many. And this is why bad producing when you
- 1:02:36say the White House and all this conspiracy, that's where our society has gone.
- 1:02:42Invite both teams for rules like this. So you went from sudden death
- 1:02:50in overtime where first man score win, a little bit of delayed death,
- 1:02:54a little torture, team life support. But when you played, a field
- 1:03:07goal was all you needed. But they we call that sudden depth. But
- 1:03:09but they added the field If you got a field goal, you still got
- 1:03:13a chance if you and that's and then they just got rid of that,
- 1:03:15got rid of that. For the playoffs, it's even if the first team
- 1:03:17scores a touchdown, the other team gets a chance. And it's because people
- 1:03:23have gotten bored with watching people win. And that's why they keep giving you
- 1:03:29chances to let somebody else have a shot at it. Because we've seen these
- 1:03:34guys win before and they didn't really win win win. It was a three
- 1:03:37point win, which made me kind of feel bad about the way they and
- 1:03:40that's why we have all of this. But because you would never see Justin
- 1:03:46Thomas or Tiger Woods get to hit the shot in the water that, oh,
- 1:03:50let me drop the ball down hit another I mean that it shouldn't work
- 1:03:53like that. And that's what that's what I'm saying. If they change it
- 1:03:57another time, thank y'all for that information. I always like to be educated.
- 1:04:01Then that's they need to throw that in the garbage. Garbage from to
- 1:04:08now we both get a shot and then if you score, now we at
- 1:04:15double overtime, which means you got to keep paying that million dollars for these
- 1:04:23ads. But the Super Bowl is in the book. Did anybody win on
- 1:04:27how many times CBS showed Taylor Swift They had a prop bet on that.
- 1:04:33Do y'all know? No, I think I probably don't know anybody who won
- 1:04:36on it. Okay, how many times you think they showed those ten?
- 1:04:40I think they showed about six times. No, I saw six times,
- 1:04:45and I wasn't watching every moment of the game. I only saw about six
- 1:04:49times after March ten. Let's see how many times they showed I saw about
- 1:04:53six times. I saw her when she hugged Ice Spice. Yeah, I
- 1:04:56saw Ice Spice. Yeah that was And again, like, what's the connection?
- 1:05:01What's the connection? So you could have so many but it's the music
- 1:05:04business. It's the music business. And did a song together. Yeah they
- 1:05:08got a day. Yeah, okay, you can't be surprised if we're in
- 1:05:12the same industry. Industry and yeah, okay, I can dig that when
- 1:05:16I yeah, it's like an athlete and oh, why is Emmitt Smith up
- 1:05:23there? How come Kenny hanging out with Richard Prye? You know? So
- 1:05:29Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey. We will see how far that goes in the
- 1:05:32off season, what they can create, will Travis being maybe one of her
- 1:05:35videos here I'm quite sure Travis is trying to get booked back on Saturday Night
- 1:05:41Live. I'm sure or are they trying to get him? They should go
- 1:05:45with him and the brother Taylor Swift is the musical guess we can get some
- 1:05:50kind of skit. They back in their bump beds and acting like they twelve
- 1:05:57again, and Travis says something like, did you touch my drum set?
- 1:06:02Yeah? I was just taking the step brothers that that would be great.
- 1:06:06Hey, I was going more. The Travis is down there fantasizing about one
- 1:06:12day having music girlfriend superstar and Jason punching him in the head like, yeah,
- 1:06:19it will never happen. It never happened, big head punching him or
- 1:06:24something like that. You went to the drum set. That is funny,
- 1:06:27they said, sir. They I was half right. They showed her twelve
- 1:06:30times a total amount of fifty three seconds. So Greg was would have won
- 1:06:33the money. Yeah he won. Yeah, because being half right and him
- 1:06:38being at ten, it's just like that's all horseshoes. That's different. So
- 1:06:45Taylor Swift all over flying back to see the super Bowl. A lot of
- 1:06:48stars they did panning around and you saw Lebron James you saw jay Z and
- 1:06:56at first I almost didn't recognize Beyonce. Yeah, uh, in there with
- 1:07:00jay Z, you saw Lady Gaga. I think they payned to Lady Gaga.
- 1:07:06Who else did you see around there? I missed a lot of that.
- 1:07:12I missed a lot of that. Did you I miss anybody? As
- 1:07:16far as music, Yeah, that's all right. Post Malone he performed America
- 1:07:27the Beautiful and I wanted to ask today on the show about that moment.
- 1:07:30They had a bud light spot, and in that bud light spot they included
- 1:07:36after it concluded, they went back to the game and the guy who was
- 1:07:40the lead actor in that ad was in the stands with the genie guy in
- 1:07:45the stands with uh post Malone, and they toast and then took SIPs out
- 1:07:50of their bud lights. To my recollection, that's the first time they've let
- 1:07:56people consume alcohol at the sporting event live and broadcasting. That's the first time
- 1:08:02I had ever seen somebody actually drink beer from there as a you know,
- 1:08:10sponsored part of the festivity. Sometimes you catch a fan maybe trying to turn
- 1:08:15it up and they'll cut away real quick. But last night, after the
- 1:08:17bud light spot, they went straight to the bud Light section and everybody was
- 1:08:21toasting and sipping bud Lights. Well, I know at the Hawk games they
- 1:08:26have like the Nickelo ex seats right, and they provide them beer and when
- 1:08:30they do advertise it, they show it up on the jumbo tron. So
- 1:08:36I think all the sensibilities of what our generation or the generation before us installed,
- 1:08:43all that is gone. It's gone. Especially for a Vegas super Bowl,
- 1:08:46all of that is It was Vegas soul. Yes, super Bowl was
- 1:08:51not. Someone that was not at the super Bowl was Florida Republican Matt Gates.
- 1:08:57Gates, yes is his name. He didn't even watch. He said
- 1:09:00that he wouldn't watch it because of the Black National Anthem, which I'm always
- 1:09:08confused when people say that because I don't want to say the wrong song,
- 1:09:12mainly because I don't remember it ever being voted on. I didn't get my
- 1:09:17ballot that says that lift every voice and sing was the Black National anthem.
- 1:09:25And I grew up. I grew up singing the song. It was something
- 1:09:28that you sung, especially around King Holiday or in the Black History Month.
- 1:09:32But nobody ever said, let me teach you the Black National anthem. Lift
- 1:09:39every voice and sing. Now did you did you get a ballot to vote
- 1:09:43on this? Well, it was used widely by the civil rights movement,
- 1:09:46and no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:09:47no no, But I got all that. I know the history. When
- 1:09:51did it become the black national anthem? Well, in my elementary school,
- 1:09:56it was taught school wide, man, the black national anthem. We would
- 1:10:02gather to it was it was not taught and at my school it was it
- 1:10:08taught to you to be the black national anthem? Yes, okay, was
- 1:10:12it taught to you as now we only sung it at church or special events.
- 1:10:15It wouldn't. I never noticed being a black national anthem until like the
- 1:10:19last five years. It was taught to us school wide as the Black national
- 1:10:24anthem, and every teacher was responsible for getting their class to the auditorium for
- 1:10:30a full day's worth of learning it to be performed later at a school wide
- 1:10:34What about school, I'm like the producer. We didn't have no white kids,
- 1:10:40and I'm like the bad producer. It was never told to me as
- 1:10:44it was the black national anthem. It was never taught to me that way.
- 1:10:49It was just it was a song that we sing in representation of the
- 1:10:56struggle, right, but it was never Solda, And that's the partner continues.
- 1:11:01When I hear him say it that way, I can see why and
- 1:11:06how and if it ever really is. But I didn't remember a vote where
- 1:11:13this is. And I'm saying it in that way because the Auburn Fight song,
- 1:11:18it's the Auburn Fight song, right right, that's y'all. And now
- 1:11:23it's guitar Hill whatever is their song. I don't remember this song being that.
- 1:11:30Now this you know, when I was a school, it was a
- 1:11:32different generation. But it could have been the fact that all of the students
- 1:11:36and administrators were all people of col I never saw I never saw a white.
- 1:11:42I'm administrator to Middlesex. I may want outcast at Aliens on spaghetti judction.
- 1:11:46That's my black national song. So I ain't get a vote. I'm
- 1:11:48like sorts job, so come with it. Not any of what you just
- 1:11:53said, but I'm just have been mentioned on the mic in some kind of
- 1:11:56reference. But I'm just saying it's just that ridiculous and not as got a
- 1:12:00mote. No, it's not that ridiculous as you made it as you made
- 1:12:05it. Sound up shirt. We'll be back with more to supports. He
- 1:12:10actually mentioned the song that nobody knows but him. We'll be back right after
- 1:12:15this and we outcast fans get mad if you want to say whatever you want,
- 1:12:20but you're still gonna get it up like way, My way, John
- 1:12:35Boy, Wayne Bore of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gantius coming up next.
- 1:12:43Have you noticed bad behavior has become normalized at interscholastic athletic events. Some
- 1:12:47fans seem angry the lax civility toward one another. Some even get aggressive and
- 1:12:54unruly. Time out. What is going on? This has to stop.
- 1:13:00Let's not forget. School sports aren't just about winning, and they're definitely not
- 1:13:04an excuse to take your frustrations out on the official or the opponent. They're
- 1:13:10about teaching lessons like perseverance, respect, and empathy so students can learn and
- 1:13:15grow as people, not just as players. We all have a role to
- 1:13:19play in setting a good example for our students and teaching them these important values.
- 1:13:26So fans, it's time to step up your game and behave positively at
- 1:13:30interscholastic athletic events in Georgia. This message presented by the GHSA and the Georgia
- 1:13:35Athletic Directors Association. After my wife died, I felt like I lost everything,
- 1:13:44including my love of fishing. But one day my granddaughter called and I
- 1:13:48realized I still had a lot to look forward to. I got referred to
- 1:13:53as psychiatrist who explained depression can happen to anyone. Getting help does and make
- 1:13:57me weak. It makes me stronger. I just wish you'd made me better
- 1:14:00than fishing. Mental healthcare is working for Diego see what it can do for

- 1:15:35into all of them saying, come on you dog, it's soft food this
- 1:15:50one. And Katie, check out the shirt. I like the shirt.

- 1:16:01we're gonna while out to about four forty five. Then we're gonna take it
- 1:16:05to the house. A couple of birthdays here, Gucci Mane forty four years
- 1:16:11of a marsh Christina Ricke Ritchie forty four, Josh Brolin, who is definitely
- 1:16:18a working man act a good actor to Josh Brolin fifty six r G three,
- 1:16:24Robert Grifforth the Third thirty four, Arsenio Hall is sixty eight. Bernie
- 1:16:30Birkin's staff, who I thought passed away. I know. I'm sorry,
- 1:16:34That's why I put him down here. I know his son coaches, yes,
- 1:16:38and he's been a head coach in the w not the WNA, in
- 1:16:41the NBA for years. But Bernie Bickerstaff is eighty years old. Jack Vaughan
- 1:16:46forty nine. Jack Matthews of the Falcons is thirty two. Josh Jacobs of
- 1:16:51the Raiders twenty six. Sarah Palin had a big sixtieth birthday and she's still
- 1:16:58the governor of mayor of At last, she was the governor of Alaska,
- 1:17:02wasn't she when she ran for vice president? Anymore? Not anymore? Audrey
- 1:17:10Aubrey Day, it's forty? Did she do something for Superowl? Diddy?
- 1:17:16No? No, Who's song? The favorite voice and scene? Andre Day?
- 1:17:23Now y'all just cutting hairs around here. Aubrey Is it Aubrey O Day?
- 1:17:28Or Andre Day? It's Aubrey Day. It's forty, that's Andre Day,
- 1:17:39saying lift every voice and sing Aubrey Day like it don't. It don't
- 1:17:45make a difference which one, how forty you know which one Aubrey Day is?
- 1:17:51Either one Day is black, Discriminator sixty two, that's not young Young
- 1:18:00Miami is thirty h Kelly Rowland is forty three, clock Taylor Lotner is thirty
- 1:18:09two, Jennifer Anderston is fifty five, and Brandy who Big Kenny has watched
- 1:18:15and seen grow up since she was like twelve. You're clocking in on twelve
- 1:18:20years. It don't make a sound, Naice. I'm just trying to say,
- 1:18:24I've been knowing the girl since she was twelve. Now, I don't
- 1:18:26know about I wouldn't. I wasn't this age when she was twelve. I
- 1:18:31wasn't this age when she was twelve. I was just a few years old.
- 1:18:34Is she today? I'm just saying it's a man up there in Cook
- 1:18:39County Jail in Illinois. He's trying to sing that same song. I want
- 1:18:43to be that. I want to be shown up, and he showed up
- 1:18:46too early. They've had a game, and I bring the games that are
- 1:18:50always interesting, and some of you might know the music. So I don't
- 1:18:54want to ever be the bad producer and put my knowledge into your head as
- 1:19:01though you already knew it. But the Hawks were playing the other night against
- 1:19:05the Golden State Warriors since we last was on air, and they played the
- 1:19:12game where you start. They call it starting, benching and cutting. If
- 1:19:21you took a person, who would you start, who would you bench?
- 1:19:26And who would you cut on the out of the three people, And there's
- 1:19:30other ways. I'm quite sure some of you out there have played this.
- 1:19:32A lot of people play it with like who would they date, marry right
- 1:19:38or sleep with or something like that. But they did it in a musical
- 1:19:41way. And the only reason I brought this up because Gucci Main birthday was
- 1:19:45over the weekend and the game was called start, bench and cut. I
- 1:19:51mean yes, start, benching cut. The three participants was all hip hop,
- 1:20:01T I Future and Gucci Man, and they went through about eight or
- 1:20:10nine of the Hawk players just doing a break. They would ask them who
- 1:20:13would they start, who would they bench? Who would they cut? I
- 1:20:16was wondering you guys, because I know y'all are musical guys, so bad
- 1:20:20producer. Out of those three guys, T I Future and Gucci Man,
- 1:20:27I'm starting you start starting all day. Okay, who would thank you?
- 1:20:32Gucci man Ber, who would you bench? I'm a bench future, bench
- 1:20:41future, and that means you're gonna cut t I yea to cut tip well
- 1:20:45okay, okay, command you Greg. I would start T I bench Future
- 1:20:55Okay, Gucci okay, okay, okay, big Kenny. I would start
- 1:21:01t I. I would uh bench future and I would no. I would
- 1:21:06bench Gucci and cut future okay and sports shock. I would I would have
- 1:21:16to start t I. I don't want to just cut all three, but
- 1:21:20this is the game. I would start t I. I would bench future,
- 1:21:29and I would cut Gucci. So how did they what happened the game?
- 1:21:32How who won the most? There wasn't no, it was there's no
- 1:21:36just present. Well, who were they cutting the most? Up? And
- 1:21:40that was the most. It was kind of like almost an age So a
- 1:21:44younger player, uh and and that which is hard to say with the Hawks
- 1:21:48because when I say younger, somebody's twenty and the other person is twenty six.
- 1:21:54Right, the person that was twenty six had more uh future and Gucci
- 1:22:02and let TI I go. So the older the basketball player, typically t
- 1:22:06I would be the person that was cut and Future and Gucci were either benched
- 1:22:14or started, so it was that was the comb of the number. That's
- 1:22:18funny because Gucci has been around just long as Tip almost so. But at
- 1:22:23the same I was just wondering who they were going with the most of Is
- 1:22:28this the spaghetti songs? Did you find let's see whether to go to break?
- 1:22:38This is the This is what the bad pro let's hear it serious.
- 1:22:45I ain't necessarily say they have to be the black national That's what you actually

- 1:26:10I'm this sworshop wing game to good morning to you. The great Rick Patino
- 1:26:14has strown out there in the air since last week. Have been here.
- 1:26:16Rick Patino says that the famous college basketball coach says that college basketball needs a
- 1:26:25salary cap. Look for that to be coming soon. A lot of what
- 1:26:29these older coaches like the Rick Patinos, the Nick Sabans and those guys,
- 1:26:34some of these ideas are things they're just telling you. It's gonna have to
- 1:26:38be put in place. It can't just be this whole open It's too much
- 1:26:44going in it. It's a reason that the leagues, and that's why I
- 1:26:47keep saying a couple of years from now basically just have to turn college football
- 1:26:51into basketball. It's college sports all into some kind of semi pro. It
- 1:26:57can't just be open ended the way it is salary cap because that's where you
- 1:27:03keep calling me back. I remember I said Nick Saban probably retired because I
- 1:27:09have gone over this conversation with this player's dad and he keeps calling me back.
- 1:27:15Well, I just got off the line with South Carolina. They said
- 1:27:17they'll give me two jeeps. What you got. We can't keep going back,
- 1:27:21sir. Last we hung up, you said you wanted one jeep.
- 1:27:27Right now, we back on this conversation because you keep going in a bidding
- 1:27:31ward and take them to South Carolina. So Rick Fatino might get his wish.
- 1:27:41Darthmuth, the Man's basketball players are now considered employees, which means Darth
- 1:27:48Myth and those men basketball players could be This could be when you look into
- 1:27:53history books, the moment that college athletics became unionized, it could be that
- 1:28:00domino that falls the judge rule that they should be considered employees at Dartmouth.
- 1:28:06Now, I think that with the with it Rick Patino that said there needs
- 1:28:13to be a salary cap, and now we have Dartmouth declaring and designating their
- 1:28:18players as employees. That's the way you control salary is make you an employee
- 1:28:25and this is as much as were gonna pay for this position, and then
- 1:28:29you can if that stands at Dartmouth, you can regulate it throughout college sports.
- 1:28:35But I think then there are going to be a lot of people who
- 1:28:39are making the lion's share of profits the way the system is set up now
- 1:28:44pushing back because you've got some athletes that are doing so well they don't have
- 1:28:47time for class now, so you're going to have to make sure that you
- 1:28:51think it all the way through to the end, because if we're going to
- 1:28:56be able to control your salary, then we can control if you go back
- 1:29:00to class and things like that too. So so they bring it in,
- 1:29:04so they figure out the way to bringing the lawyers and the CPAs in now,
- 1:29:08because you know, once you become employee, you get that ten ninety
- 1:29:10nine or whatever they give me. All the guys, you got to start
- 1:29:13doing these taxes now. I mean, you're not just receiving off the books
- 1:29:15money. This is you know, you got to have somebody that's doing this
- 1:29:18right and the proper way, because as you continue to move forward, all
- 1:29:23that stuff has to be done correctly. But all of this will count towards
- 1:29:27your forty quarters. Your forty quarters. And then it also makes it where
- 1:29:35you were saying, how with the student athletes, doesn't this eliminate certain requirements?
- 1:29:45Like they can't be called student athletes anymore? Can they? Yeah,
- 1:29:47they still could be student athletes. You're still a student if you registered and
- 1:29:51rolled in school. Well, and that's the part where I keep saying,
- 1:29:54they just need to erase that part student and just hire me to play basketball.
- 1:30:00But it goes back to like about it was an article Josh Rosen was
- 1:30:05u c l A. He wrote ten years ago. He talked about that,
- 1:30:09like, you know, we come to school, we come to play
- 1:30:12football. Why can't if that be our major football? Like they teach us
- 1:30:15how to coach, they teach us how to work. Besides playing football.
- 1:30:19There's other things within football that we can learn, he said, because like
- 1:30:23when actors at USC they get to go and work on their skill or go
- 1:30:28auditions, then all that for jobs and different things continuously while they're in school.
- 1:30:31Whereas the football player he has to take math classes and different things like
- 1:30:36this, but he only works on If you go to college for art,
- 1:30:40you still take other classes. I understand, but Rose, he was just
- 1:30:45saying, if you make football a major, you would if you wouldn't had
- 1:30:47to take another major. That just be what these guys he was leaning toward
- 1:30:50it. It was the article of Sports Illustrated. This was about eight nine
- 1:30:54years ago. He was just in that, so yould just go to football
- 1:30:57practice. Football in your class would be like teaching fundamentals of football or one
- 1:31:02on one or pe classes in regards to coaching management. If you want to
- 1:31:09be an agent things in regards of football, only football that's your major.
- 1:31:13Well, if you want to be agent, you most likely want to go
- 1:31:15get a business degree or be a lawyer and then become but all that will
- 1:31:19still fall ondo football and it will be taught. Whoever said that, it's
- 1:31:25just shortening the life of what a football player could be. So you're going
- 1:31:30to take one hundred men, what about the thirty of them that might be
- 1:31:33scientists or doctors if they choose. But there's a lot of guys Josh Rosen
- 1:31:42what he was saying, if they wanted to about just keep it the way
- 1:31:44it is. Did Josh Rosen play the football? Yeah, he played U
- 1:31:47c l A oh okay, and he probably just wanted to go to football.
- 1:31:50I love my degree. And all athletes that say you can't go to
- 1:31:57school and play your sport and obtain your degree are liars. You just wanted
- 1:32:03to stay in the room and play Call of Duty, or you wanted to
- 1:32:06go chase some girl after basketball practice. They're all liars. You can get
- 1:32:15a degree and you can play a sport for four years, six five or
- 1:32:23six laws. It come at you greg the Enhanced Games, and when you
- 1:32:30Google it, it will send you to a page that says, backed by
- 1:32:33the world's top venture capitalists, the enhance game is the Olympics of the future.
- 1:32:42When forty four of athletes already use performance enhancements, it is time to
- 1:32:49safely celebrate science. Vic Kenny. Sports can be safer without drug testing.
- 1:32:59Makes us to make eliminate drug testing. Now that's the part I gotta be
- 1:33:04honest with you and full disclosure. The only part I heard was eliminate drug
- 1:33:09testing, and I'm on board so far. Now you have my attention.
- 1:33:13What else are they? What is this and how can I get into it?
- 1:33:17They're bringing you the enhanced game. It is similar to basically Olympics.
- 1:33:24Without drug testing, you will be able to drug test, I mean,
- 1:33:30be in Olympic type sports and not have to worry about drug testing at any
- 1:33:36point. So even so, Russia on board already. They like, it's
- 1:33:41signing us up and it sounds good until someone dies, yeah, and then
- 1:33:47their relatives sue them for that. Now, I'm quite sure you've signed some
- 1:33:51waivers and all that, but until these drugs, similar to how the CT
- 1:34:00has affected football, you have a couple athletes. And that was the whole
- 1:34:05thing about especially things like steroids, right and sports in the eighties. A
- 1:34:12lot of people, even the great Flow Joe Lawrence Griffith Joiner was some people
- 1:34:17feel like her early passing had something to do with maybe she had been in
- 1:34:25some kind of performance enhancing drugs. Never was caught, so we can't put
- 1:34:33that on her legacy. But this is what's coming to us the Enhanced Games,
- 1:34:39and if you go to the website, they have what they call enhanced
- 1:34:43inclusive language. Inclusive language is a way of acknowledging and respecting the complete control
- 1:34:50and autonomy people have over their bodies. Sure's that we leave behind the horful
- 1:34:57archaic language that causes discrimination. Again, athletes and those who strive for human
- 1:35:01excellence, like doping and juiced are words that they want to eliminate. Are
- 1:35:09you guys for this bapts you for the Enhanced Games? Not really, but
- 1:35:16you know, I'm like, if you can give somebody a chance, I
- 1:35:21don't know, it's just strange right there because you're doing a thin line up,
- 1:35:26like what of the dope and what what? What are the steroids and
- 1:35:31stuff? We say steroids is supposed to be bad in a sense for us
- 1:35:35in that manner as far as hurting, But I know there's steroids that can
- 1:35:39help you also. So my biggest concerns will be out as far as,
- 1:35:44like you said, people getting sued or someone having something tragedy happening in this
- 1:35:48situation. So I ain't with it, I'm against it. I think it
- 1:35:55it's basically the carnival. Come see the fear that lay. Yeah, come
- 1:36:01see the the tallest man in the world that only weighs forty five pounds.
- 1:36:05The women who the women who used to identify as men and compete against.
- 1:36:13Now everybody's just a girl on juice competing against other juice girls. The guys
- 1:36:19are just juice guys against other guys. It's and how far do we go
- 1:36:25with it? Do the powerlifters come in looking like something from space jam?
- 1:36:30You remember those movies? How far are we gonna go with? Do we
- 1:36:35a minute mile? Yeah? I I used to be for this kind of
- 1:36:42thing, like I wanted. I wanted it in baseball to allow all the
- 1:36:47performances into drugs. But this is, like I said, it sounds like
- 1:36:51a carnival circus situation that says, yeah, they're not it's not mandatory to
- 1:36:58take them, and uh they are. They are allowed prosthetic limbs and different
- 1:37:04shoe technology. That's just like somebody telling you. That's just like somebody you
- 1:37:08going to a job and you fail your drug tests and they tell you,
- 1:37:11oh, we're gonna hire you because you fail your drug tests, so well
- 1:37:15they know they're not gonna be dr at all. But what I'm saying that's
- 1:37:18just like the equivalent rewarding the rewarding the wrong thing. Yeah, you feel
- 1:37:23if you pass now, we don't want you. And it sounds corrupt because
- 1:37:28if you're gonna let that happen, everything else, you'll be out there telling
- 1:37:30your herding everybody passing it. Many Sort show right after this, It's creative
- 1:37:40Cocaine. Love you fine, leave and make me on to say oh oh
- 1:37:46oh oh oh, oh my gosh do bo Wayne Born of the It's Josh

- 1:41:34That's what I'm saying a judge in Atlantic City for you people that thought you
- 1:41:45were going to be able to sue casinos at least right now, Atlantic City
- 1:41:49casinos have no legal produce. I know you'd like to go to casinos,
- 1:41:55so and Mama, you listen up to I just don't like people to think
- 1:42:00I just be pointing them out. I'm talking to a lot of people.
- 1:42:03The Atlantic City casinos have no legal obligation to stop compulsive gamblers from betting cam
- 1:42:15mercy. This ruling was last week the judge dismissing a lawsuit from someone who
- 1:42:24describes themselves as a gambler who has an addiction, and they were trying to
- 1:42:30sue the MGM Resort International for plying him with offers to gamble despite knowing about
- 1:42:41his addiction. Hey, this is why hold on one second, This is
- 1:42:45one second slide your seatback if you can. It's just a little bit.
- 1:42:48I know we're going to get out of camera angle for a second, but
- 1:42:50some of our body be just stand up for a second. Man, this
- 1:42:54is why you stand for the flag. Yes we do, and clappum America
- 1:42:59stand up. This is why. Let me get a clap over for you.
- 1:43:06Oh fush, this is this is why you stand for the flag.
- 1:43:13You don't have to agree with it, but stand for it. Only in
- 1:43:16America can you go and and sue somebody for your problem that you created.
- 1:43:24I'm in court because you had a problem. So I wasn't supposed to let
- 1:43:27you gamble. You know I had a gambling problem. You can't lookin You
- 1:43:30keep giving me free tickets to the buffet who wouldn't go bankrupt put free tickets
- 1:43:38to the primary buffet. So basically, guys, make sure everybody understands.
- 1:43:43Gentlemen decides and uh man heart the MGM grand should be responsible because they keep
- 1:43:55sending him offers to gamble and he has told him he has an addiction,
- 1:44:00so they shouldn't be sending him copons and two night stage. I've been to
- 1:44:04have my cousins do the crackouse them fucks know, you got a problem.
- 1:44:09Come, I'm thinking about as much as you come over there. I'm thinking
- 1:44:14about a lot of things. You got a problem, and they didn't Nobody
- 1:44:16at the crackouse be like, hey, mister, you need to slow down.
- 1:44:21I don't even know how this kind of stuff gets on docket because it's
- 1:44:25America thirty fill out the paperwork, thirty five dollars and you know, just
- 1:44:30the file. Because even something like this, the judge starts reading and it
- 1:44:34gets confused, like maybe he had read it wrong. Right right, Wait,
- 1:44:38wait, the man said he got a gambling problem, and he wants
- 1:44:42the is that somebody's initials? If? Gail, God, surely you're not
- 1:44:46talking about the whole casino. You want to show you want to sue the
- 1:44:50gambling people for letting you gamble too much. Yes, it's like put it
- 1:44:56on the dock. It's like it's America. Put it on the doctor.
- 1:44:59The They should have stopped men, they should they know that was my last
- 1:45:03stiles. I told him that bet my last thousands. Right now, I'm
- 1:45:09going down to the light company with that same thing. Y'all know, I'm
- 1:45:12gonna take it to the lights. Y'all keep letting me pay this bill.
- 1:45:15It's ridiculous, but that is the ruling. So that don't hold well for
- 1:45:20any of you that thought y'all was gonna use that as your defense. It's
- 1:45:25not gonna fly. If you walk in that casino and lose your life savings.
- 1:45:30It is not the casinos fault they did off of your free room.
- 1:45:34Though, who we gonna blame now? In the buffet I'm gonna get see
- 1:45:39if you sit at that table, that's on you now that they got nothing
- 1:45:42to do it. But who do I blame now? Supports y'all for my
- 1:45:45behavior? You might have to look at the man in the mirror. Like
- 1:45:47Michael Jackson said, is that a company? I can sue the man?
- 1:45:50That is what I don't get though. Like I don't play the slots in
- 1:45:55the tech carnival games, I go play like poker while I'm sitting down trying
- 1:45:58to play against other PEO would take your money because I mean, when you're
- 1:46:01sitting there trying to get the casinos money, they're not gonna let you get
- 1:46:03that money. And think about this, Is there some sort of legislation or
- 1:46:08lobbying that you think went into that decision? Because I know that if you
- 1:46:11try and wire money now for for elderly people, they will ask you,
- 1:46:15has anyone encouraged you to wire this money? Are you wiring it to a
- 1:46:19third party? So they're getting involved and trying to stop people from being scammed
- 1:46:25out of their life savings, but they're willing to let you just give it
- 1:46:28away in a casino. Yeah. I love this country. I love this
- 1:46:31country, I'm telling you, and up building more casinos every day. Yeah,
- 1:46:35people be talking about moving overseas. I'm not going. I just don't
- 1:46:40know how. It's my fault that you came to the casino. Well,
- 1:46:43because you keep sending me these what they do. They'll send you like these
- 1:46:46coupons. It will be a row of them. You have five dollars,
- 1:46:49ten dollars coupons and you go what they do? You get? You go
- 1:46:53back up there. So he sounded like he was part of class actions soon.
- 1:46:56But I'm saying, so the Subway and McDonald they sending you coupons.
- 1:47:02These coupons is money, money, money, and you go take that little
- 1:47:06money and add your money to it too. It's like a I'm saying,
- 1:47:10they sent me the hardware store, sent me spend twenty dollars, We'll give
- 1:47:15you five dollars off. So now I got twenty five dollars to spend.
- 1:47:18But you can with those coupons they send you. If you regularly go to
- 1:47:23the casino, you don't even really have to spend any money. If you
- 1:47:26spend enough, if with some of the ones, you don't even have to
- 1:47:28go out of your pocket. We'll be back with more of the Sports Shock
- 1:47:30Show right after this. This is you you my number one spotlights sixties Don't
- 1:47:50go awayne board of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gandia's coming up next.
- 1:47:56Attention, high school sports fans. Are you in arm share official? You

- 1:50:03school board when we put a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:50:10on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Yoah after the night. Don't
- 1:50:20leave your girl around me, truth player for brill. That's my smell.
- 1:50:31Smell, welcome back to the south of this spot shock Wayne gand good for
- 1:50:39it to you up there and uh out there and listening. Laying one of
- 1:50:44the funny story guys to go along with the MGM story where judge rules that
- 1:50:48you cannot sue the casino because you have a gambling problem. That's not their
- 1:50:55responsibility. You come in there and give the money off, give them your
- 1:50:59money. Rockland County gentlemen is trying to sue McDonald's in door Dash. He
- 1:51:10claims that he has been ordering the Big Mac on door Dash from this particular
- 1:51:15McDonald's for the last three years, and this time he blindly received it from
- 1:51:27McDonald's, started eating it and found himself in the hospital. Twenty eight year
- 1:51:34old has a severe milk allergy. Brought him close to death, but he
- 1:51:44was able to bounce back, and now he's trying to sue door Dash and
- 1:51:47McDonald's for the cheese being on the Big Mac. The only thing I don't
- 1:52:00understand about this is he has a life threatening milk allergy. How is it
- 1:52:09that you would ever eat anything without checking, especially something that normally comes with
- 1:52:16cheese to all beast special sauce, lettuce, cheese, it's just different.
- 1:52:25If you ordered a steak, steak doesn't typically come with cheese, you'd have
- 1:52:30to request it. For you to get a Big Mac, you'd have to
- 1:52:33tell the people to take the cheese off because because it actually says it in
- 1:52:39the time, that's how it's assembled. Yes, that's the only part about
- 1:52:43the story that that confuses me, that if I have that that would send
- 1:52:47me to that consuming milk products would send me to the hospital. That I
- 1:52:53would eat anything without checking all dairy product anything, You would think so so
- 1:53:00learned the food groups in school. Yeah, I don't know how far that's
- 1:53:01gonna go, but it's another case. And the fact that you would let
- 1:53:05a stranger pick your food up out of McDonald's and bring it to you anyway
- 1:53:10concerns me. Them folks. McDonald's probably made it without the cheese, But
- 1:53:15the weirdo who bought your food just got wrapped slices of cheese in his car
- 1:53:20and just beat the d people need look at that. Even give him cheese.
- 1:53:25He gonna give me ex tip for that. So in other words,
- 1:53:27he's been ordered for three years Big Matt without cheese, and this time he
- 1:53:31came with cheese on it. Yes, which in the world of life,
- 1:53:36that's how things happened they call accident. So he didn't look at it when
- 1:53:42he's That's what plenty plenty of us at plenty times had once a year.
- 1:53:45If you go out enough, if you're not cooking at yourself, you have
- 1:53:49to send something back. I said, no, tomatoes just happened. I
- 1:53:54said something. Then it could be anything. I said, no halopenos or
- 1:54:00hallopeeno is on the side. You got to take that back. I said,
- 1:54:03medium, Well, this thing running, this is not And they and
- 1:54:06restaurants have that put in their budget. Yes, that they're going to have
- 1:54:11a certain percent that they got wrong. It's called shrinking people. It's not
- 1:54:15like it's catching him by surprise that they got to get rid of it.
- 1:54:19That's why they's specifically now you know, the medium well is still kind of
- 1:54:24red in the middle. Trey Young of the Atlanta Hawks did join the All
- 1:54:28Star Team. With our man Joelo b being hurt being out, a lot
- 1:54:32of people asking me about Trey Young White didn't make the All Star Team,
- 1:54:35and I ain't have been weighing in letting him know that Trey Young just doesn't
- 1:54:41seem to be a likable guy. When you look at him, he doesn't
- 1:54:45seem to have a friendly disposition. That disposition of his is just not inviting.
- 1:54:53He seems like an arrogant version of a Steph Curry, who is arrogant.
- 1:54:59And when I say arrogant, not in a bad way. I know
- 1:55:00a lot of times to my confident that he you shoot the ball from half
- 1:55:04court ten times and hit nine of them, you start thinking, you know
- 1:55:10what, maybe I'm a good shooter. So I think it's more of that
- 1:55:14why he didn't make the All Star Team out of the initial vote and that
- 1:55:18you got a couple of guys that might have came over with a little more
- 1:55:21fanfare, like a Damon Lillard. Damon Lillard switched teams, but he had
- 1:55:27a fan base. And the third thing is Hawks fans voting. Remember,
- 1:55:34just like we talked about with the Lions in Amrah Saint Brown, he made
- 1:55:40the All Pro where fans vote for All Pro too, but it's not as
- 1:55:44weight as heavy and when you talk about All Star games and stuff like that,
- 1:55:46that's usually heavy fan They're going to give the fans what they want to
- 1:55:50see. Well, that's that's the thing. Like in fan voting, he
- 1:55:54was second, but with the format, twenty five percent of the it goes
- 1:56:00to the player of vote twenty five to the media. So it was with
- 1:56:02the players and media that he was like fifth or sixth right, And that's
- 1:56:05what I was saying. His disposition doesn't seem to be you know, and
- 1:56:12I always talk about it. It's with the players in media that don't see
- 1:56:15people always comparing him and Luca, and I tell them what I would not.
- 1:56:17I would have taken Luca for what we know A lot of why they
- 1:56:20traded for those twos, they didn't really know Luca, but Luca in his
- 1:56:25time seems to draw people. Other star seemed to be okay with going there
- 1:56:31to play with him here we trade has still not drawn another star, And
- 1:56:38a lot of that time, some of that I think has just been and
- 1:56:42who a person is and how their vibe comes off can be two different things.
- 1:56:45Always completely he can be completely different from what we know. But outwardly
- 1:56:51his vibe seems like I keep my stuff packed. I'm not really a Hawk.
- 1:56:58I just play here. I'm just I'm just shooting around with y'all.
- 1:57:01And and you said that the media was a part of it. The only
- 1:57:05time I seen the media get hard with Trey was last year, and that
- 1:57:09was Zach Klein. And he's not at the games all the time. Our
- 1:57:12media we throw softball questions to Trey. Uh. We we call her,
- 1:57:15we call on him, we we do everything for him. So I don't
- 1:57:18see where we're saying. They're saying that the media Notata. It's not just
- 1:57:24the Atlanta media then, but that but but that's what I'm saying. There's
- 1:57:27no even no national media so words he so he shouldn't be getting this hard,
- 1:57:30bad of a rap. That's just something personal because, like you said,
- 1:57:34they're just looking from the outside on the young man. But that's what
- 1:57:38I'm saying. When you look at his competition, his fanfare is not bigger
- 1:57:44than Dame Time. No, it's not. He doesn't have that athletic,
- 1:57:48exciting game like a Donovan Mitchell. So you have two or three guys that
- 1:57:55has moved over to the East. It's just like someone if jolo Be move
- 1:58:01out West, somebody gonna get replaced. They already know. Man, you
- 1:58:05know, jola Be come to the Clipper. I ain't gonna be in the
- 1:58:09All Star Game this year. It's just some people come with their fanfare.
- 1:58:13Wherever KD goals East or West. Most likely KD gonna be in the All
- 1:58:17Star Game. Somebody got to miss out. This is how it is with
- 1:58:21Trey. So the West is loaded. You know. Yeah, that's what
- 1:58:24I'm saying. It doesn't matter you got Garrie got because in basketball is more
- 1:58:31you than it is what team you're on. In sports, it's more the
- 1:58:36team. Get the MVP, Go get the MVP. Sunday hat to shut
- 1:58:43all of it down, Ice Tray and we are you know, he makes
- 1:58:49us like the truth is he will throw your in the ocean. It's time
- 1:58:57to wrap things up on the ins Jug Show with Wayne Kenny. When you're
- 1:59:24decided of those who gets this boy shout testamentuted to Vin. We'd like to
- 1:59:27thank you for tuning in to today's show. Bit Kenny maat producer command you
- 1:59:31Greg, thank you for your contributions to day. Congratulations to our man Usher
- 1:59:39putting on a show for everybody halftime of the Super Bowl and for the forty
- 1:59:44nine Ers and Chiefs for a great game. The Chiefs Super Bowl fifty eight
- 1:59:51champions once again, Pat Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelcey and those guys
- 1:59:58Chris Jones taking the trophy. Took Kate's Barbeque back in Kansas City, have
- 2:00:03a little cell abration. The super Bowl was out in Las Vegas, and
- 2:00:09that's where the ocean has gotten big and wide. The Las Vegas mayor Carolyn
- 2:00:17Goodman, Carolyn says that the Oakland A's need to go on call back Oakland,
- 2:00:25see if they can go back home. I thought they was the Las
- 2:00:28Vegas as she says, they don't. She don't really want them kind of
- 2:00:34sort of you're just messing up all the money. Carolyn gonna find herself good
- 2:00:42Fellows Casino. We responded, Oh yeah, we might know. Don't say
- 2:00:48that, but she don't find us way out in the dirt. You're messing
- 2:00:51up the money. Basically, the mayor of Las Vegas is putting out there
- 2:00:58that she is not necessary happy that the Oakland A's are coming to Las Vegas.
- 2:01:03None of the plans sync up with what she wants them to do,
- 2:01:06and she would be okay with them working some things out with the Oakland A's
- 2:01:13back in California. I don't know if that's high. It's too late in
- 2:01:16the game for that year. You ain't finna get another term. That's not
- 2:01:25good business. Some things, even if you fill them, you keep them
- 2:01:28to yourself because you want the dollar to fall with a dollar needs to beat.
- 2:01:33These kind of things discourage even fans for coming to your venue. So
- 2:01:40for that, Mayor, Carolyn Goodman, buck the plank. If you didn't
- 2:01:55get a cancer catch to show in its entirety. We are replayed right after
- 2:02:00we go off on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon podcast, Audible, Deezer,
- 2:02:08and iHeartRadio from the Sports Shock Show. We hope you have a good
- 2:02:12afternoon. Peace,
