Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Travis Kelsey, NFL player, husband of Taylor Swift. He had
- 0:06Speaker 2: a brand new episode of his podcast come out, New Heights,
- 0:09Speaker 2: that he does with his brother Jason. And he finally
- 0:12Speaker 2: started talking more about that wedding of his that we
- 0:14Speaker 2: all can't shut up about. The one that happened at
- 0:16Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden back in July. And yeah, we're still
- 0:19Speaker 2: talking about it. So he kind of addressed direct to
- 0:22Speaker 2: head on why he actually or why they chose Madison
- 0:27Speaker 2: Square Garden as the venue because everyone was pretty shocked,
- 0:29Speaker 2: particularly for Taylor Swift.
- 0:31Speaker 1: It didn't seem like her vibe. This is what he said.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Thank you to everyone at MSG that allowed us to
- 0:36Speaker 3: do this. We wanted to do it somewhere where we
- 0:39Speaker 3: could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a
- 0:45Speaker 3: lot of distractions. We needed it to be a private feel,
- 0:48Speaker 3: and MSG went above and beyond to give us that.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Was it because it was indoors?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I think it's because they could literally create their own
- 0:56Speaker 2: universe in there, right?
- 0:57Speaker 1: Because everything was blocked off.
- 0:58Speaker 2: You couldn't get any drones or helicopters for like, you know,
- 1:01Speaker 2: the footage and stuff like that.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So it's almost like they created their.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Own world away from the real world. But the only
- 1:07Speaker 2: thing that bothered me is he said intimate. They had
- 1:10Speaker 2: a thousand guests. A thousand guests.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Also, it's indoors. I don't know. Like getting married indoors.
- 1:15Speaker 4: The whole thing indoors.
- 1:16Speaker 1: If you're a smoker, where'd you go?
- 1:18Speaker 4: Didn't they find a bunch of smokes and vapes and
- 1:21Speaker 4: stuff in the bin?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they found condoms and stuff.
- 1:24Speaker 4: They probably just did whatever they wanted.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Oh, they found an ovulation test on the ground in
- 1:27Speaker 1: the bin out the front.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I reckon you could just do whatever you want in there.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Oh, they would have allowed whatever for Taylor Swift and
- 1:34Speaker 2: Travis Kelsey. Travis also gave a massive thank you to
- 1:38Speaker 2: their wedding celebrant, Adam Sandler.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I can't say thank you to everyone without to give
- 1:43Speaker 3: a special thank you to the Adam Sandler. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:47Speaker 3: He has been just the best person ever. You're right.
- 1:52Speaker 3: On this planet. And for him to be up for
- 1:56Speaker 3: getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying
- 1:59Speaker 3: me and Taylor.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 3: And the way he did it in the very, you know,
- 2:02Speaker 3: Sandman style and giving us more than we could have
- 2:05Speaker 3: ever imagined in that moment, knowing that it was the
- 2:08Speaker 3: biggest night of both of our lives.
- 2:10Speaker 4: You reckon they paid him?
- 2:13Speaker 1: No, he wouldn't have taken money. Also doesn't need it. Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I suppose. He's got like his Happy Madison Productions has
- 2:18Speaker 1: the deal with Netflix now. Yeah. And he's like making bank.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Such responsibility to do that though.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I would love to be a celebrant for someone one day.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I think I'd do a really good job.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I think you would. You know, you've got to go
- 2:29Speaker 4: and I didn't realize.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I know. I looked into it.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And it's not cheap. I looked into it as like
- 2:33Speaker 1: a side hustle once to do. And then I just, yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 4: You got over it?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Well, I looked at the price of it and thought,
- 2:39Speaker 1: am I really going to use this?
- 2:40Speaker 4: There's good money in it though, isn't it?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Absolutely. Anything wedding related, you make good money for.
- 2:46Speaker 4: So if you were doing someone's wedding this Saturday, do
- 2:49Speaker 4: you know what you could charge? Just like 5k more?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Oh i think it's a couple of grand i don't
- 2:53Speaker 2: think 5k oh okay yeah no and also i've thought
- 2:56Speaker 2: about emceeing like the receptions and stuff like that but
- 3:00Speaker 2: actually that seems like because then you got to hang
- 3:01Speaker 2: around all night make sure like the wedding element you're
- 3:04Speaker 2: kind of reading from a script and you just got
- 3:05Speaker 2: to make sure yeah yeah and then you're done for
- 3:07Speaker 2: the day so.
- 3:08Speaker 4: If uh radio doesn't turn out for you you can
- 3:10Speaker 4: always do that.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah sure um also 50 cent i love 50 cent
- 3:14Speaker 1: don't you.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I don't dislike him.
- 3:17Speaker 2: He hasn't had new music in ages, but he's since
- 3:19Speaker 2: gone on to produce TV.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He produced Power.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But also he was very funny when all the Diddy
- 3:25Speaker 2: stuff was happening on social media and stuff like that.
- 3:27Speaker 1: He's just a massive troll.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:28Speaker 2: He also made that whole documentary about Diddy where he
- 3:31Speaker 2: basically trolled.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh, Diddy really?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah, hates him.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Hates him.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 2: But anyway, he shared his favorite secret to enjoying life.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I reckon you'll like this, Mikey. Take a listen. I
- 3:39Speaker 1: turn off my phone. Yeah, that's smart.
- 3:41Speaker 4: That's it.
- 3:42Speaker 1: When you can get away from everything for a little while,
- 3:44Speaker 1: it feels good. Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 3: But I only need like a day or so.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Yeah, man. I totally agree with that. I leave my
- 3:50Speaker 4: phone like.
- 3:52Speaker 1: When you go for a walk, you don't take your phone,
- 3:53Speaker 1: which I find odd.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Yeah, even if I go, like, shopping, I just pull
- 3:57Speaker 4: my wallet out. Old school wallet, still got that.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Oh, do you pull out a physical card, you boomer?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Oh, it's like a card holder, and I leave the
- 4:04Speaker 4: phone in the car. Your phones are the worst thing
- 4:06Speaker 4: in the world. I reckon we're going to look back
- 4:08Speaker 4: on it one day and go, wow, these were, like, please.
- 4:11Speaker 1: No way, because the technology will only progress and we'll
- 4:14Speaker 1: be using something else. We'll probably have phones built into
- 4:17Speaker 1: our eyes.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I don't know. Can you take time off your phone?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Uh, I do like a couple of hours.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Like I have a friend who likes to switch it
- 4:26Speaker 2: off for a whole weekend sometimes. And I'm just like,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'm not, I don't have trouble with my phone. So
- 4:31Speaker 2: I don't feel the need to do that. Like if
- 4:33Speaker 2: I had a negative relationship with myself due to what
- 4:35Speaker 2: I'm seeing on social media. Yep.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'd more actively take time off, but I'm
- 4:39Speaker 1: pretty good.
- 4:40Speaker 4: There's other things you can do too. Like as I
- 4:42Speaker 4: was driving in this morning with my girlfriend, we were talking.
- 4:45Speaker 4: She goes, oh, look on Instagram. She goes, oh, no,
- 4:47Speaker 4: I've deleted the app. So she doesn't have Instagram on
- 4:49Speaker 4: her phone. I'm sure she'll re-download it.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Is that because she noticed she was spending too much
- 4:53Speaker 1: time on it?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Yeah, she keeps scrolling on it.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Oh, I looked at my screen time the other day
- 4:56Speaker 1: for Instagram.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I'll see if I can get it up quickly now.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I bet it's terrible.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It's not great. Yeah. I wonder if anyone, everyone out there, look,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I wonder if mine's bad comparatively.
- 5:04Speaker 4: That would be the worst.
- 5:06Speaker 2: No. I don't know if it, it's, yeah, I do
- 5:09Speaker 2: a lot of mindless scrolling.
- 5:11Speaker 4: That's the thing. So the other thing I've done, I
- 5:13Speaker 4: don't delete the app. I log out. So you can
- 5:16Speaker 4: log in and it's just a bit of a control mechanism.
- 5:18Speaker 4: So it's like, it doesn't take long to log in, obviously,
- 5:20Speaker 4: but it makes you question why you're logging in. You
- 5:23Speaker 4: know what I mean, Sean?
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I've started leaving the phone behind as well. I
- 5:26Speaker 1: know you said that you leave it when you go
- 5:27Speaker 1: on a walk. I do the same thing. And you
- 5:30Speaker 1: realize that it is better without it.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Totally, man. Like yesterday, I left it in the car.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I went for a swim, laid down on the sand
- 5:37Speaker 4: for a bit, and I looked around. Everyone was on
- 5:39Speaker 4: their phone. It's like, why have you even come to
- 5:41Speaker 4: the beach if all you're doing is sitting and playing
- 5:42Speaker 4: on your damn phone?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Because it's... Be in the moment, brah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Well, my daily average on Instagram is one hour and
- 5:48Speaker 2: 48 minutes.
- 5:50Speaker 1: What's everyone out there?
- 5:51Speaker 3: What?
- 5:52Speaker 4: You're never getting that time back.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Two hours and six minutes.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Oh, things worse.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Anyone else worse than that? 133, so not too bad. Okay.
- 5:59Speaker 1: In the middle.
- 6:02Speaker 2: 133.
- 6:02Speaker 1: 117, our social guy has the least.
- 6:04Speaker 4: He's on there less than you are, Nat.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't see 1 hour 48 as a problem.
- 6:09Speaker 2: 1 hour 48 when I'm awake for like 16 hours.
- 6:12Speaker 1: A day, nah.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You don't need that amount of time.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but I work on my phone.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Like I use my phone for celebrity news. I use
- 6:20Speaker 2: my phone, yeah, for research.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Right, so you're going on holidays. We're all having a
- 6:24Speaker 4: break end of September or something. You're not. No, I'll
- 6:28Speaker 4: be here. Thanks.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But whatever.
- 6:29Speaker 4: The point is, will it still be an hour 48?
- 6:31Speaker 1: No, it'll be more.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Because I have nothing else to do.
