- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 3: I got to come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:39Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in our number two OTV one
- 0:42Speaker 4: oh four five, ESPN, Beton Rouge, Jacob Flynn, Elandre tete
- 0:46Speaker 4: Ah here with you on this Friday morning, getting the
- 0:51Speaker 4: weekend vibe started all over this place. Let's also continue
- 0:55Speaker 4: our OTV top twenty five.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Look quick recap here.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I remember twenty five, the Boys, You State Broncos at
- 1:02Speaker 4: number twenty four, the Memphis Tigers at twenty three, the
- 1:05Speaker 4: Baylor Bears at twenty two, the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets at
- 1:09Speaker 4: twenty one, the Tennessee Volunteers at twenty, the Iowa State Cyclones,
- 1:13Speaker 4: and at number nineteen, the Texas A and m Aggie's
- 1:16Speaker 4: better known as the Texas eight and four Aggies.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Coming in at number eighteen.
- 1:24Speaker 4: A team that made the cost Football Playoff a year ago,
- 1:27Speaker 4: a team that came out of nowhere, a team that's
- 1:30Speaker 4: best known for basketball.
- 1:34Speaker 3: And he guesses I.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Did go go ahead, Indiana.
- 1:39Speaker 4: The Indiana Hoosiers coming in at number eighteen on the list.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I'm actually shocked you to do that.
- 1:45Speaker 3: A saw Taylor's scream, So you're cheated.
- 1:53Speaker 2: No, that was right there.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Oh it's weird that there's a screen right there. I
- 1:58Speaker 4: wonder if that'll be there this afternoon.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Curious is that still gonna be on the flour this afternoon?
- 2:05Speaker 4: Probably not? Probably all fixed up. All right, Well, you cheated,
- 2:09Speaker 4: but yeah, you are right though it is. Indiana made
- 2:12Speaker 4: a playoff run. As I said a year ago, you
- 2:15Speaker 4: look at their schedule, they they got some tough games,
- 2:18Speaker 4: but the way that it's laid out, Indiana could be
- 2:21Speaker 4: a nine win team again. They have a lot of talent.
- 2:25Speaker 4: They're in the top ten and returning production in the country.
- 2:28Speaker 4: They've got three guys that were on different All American
- 2:31Speaker 4: teams on defense alone coming back to this squad, Fernando
- 2:36Speaker 4: Mendoza coming over from cal at the quarterback position. So
- 2:39Speaker 4: Rort had a great year last year. He's playing the
- 2:42Speaker 4: entire year on a torn acl by the way, and
- 2:44Speaker 4: didn't didn't really know it until later in the year,
- 2:46Speaker 4: and just continue to play. Shout out to him. That's
- 2:49Speaker 4: too gritty to be pretty. But Mendoza is a Sunday quarterback.
- 2:53Speaker 4: He's somebody that's gonna get drafted in the top four
- 2:55Speaker 4: rounds of the NFL draft. You go get him from Cal.
- 2:58Speaker 4: You add two tie end two receivers to what he
- 3:01Speaker 4: already had coming back. You had two running backs through
- 3:04Speaker 4: the transfer portal, and again you returned three players that
- 3:07Speaker 4: made different All American teams on defense. For the schedule,
- 3:12Speaker 4: you love the first three games Old Dominion, kinesssaus State,
- 3:16Speaker 4: and Indiana State, all at home. Now you've got a
- 3:20Speaker 4: tough one on September the twentieth. You've got to match
- 3:24Speaker 4: up with the Illinois Fighting Ali nine Old b Lava
- 3:28Speaker 4: come in to town. But again that game is in Bloomington.
- 3:31Speaker 4: It's going to be a home game and Memorial Stadium.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Now you do go on the road to the Iowa
- 3:36Speaker 4: Hawkeys on September the twenty seventh, but four straight home
- 3:39Speaker 4: games to open the season. You go on the road
- 3:41Speaker 4: to Iowa, so not crazy travel and then important bye
- 3:46Speaker 4: week here before you head across the country and go
- 3:49Speaker 4: play the Oregon Ducks.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Some of these big ten matchups are going to be difficult.
- 3:54Speaker 4: You're going to go to the West Coast, you're going
- 3:55Speaker 4: to go to southern California, you're going to go to
- 3:58Speaker 4: the Pacific Northwest. But if you had that, I mean
- 4:02Speaker 4: having a bye week before that after four out of
- 4:05Speaker 4: five home games feels like a great scenario for you.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah, so last year they were kind of like the
- 4:12Speaker 5: bell of the ball for a majority of the season.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They got I think I think game Day even visited them.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Was at the Ohio State game where they where they
- 4:19Speaker 5: went to see him. Yeah, I can't remember exactly where
- 4:22Speaker 5: it was, but I remember seeing signetti, like on the
- 4:25Speaker 5: like he like some of the comments from his opening
- 4:28Speaker 5: presser when he not the presser, but when he addressed
- 4:31Speaker 5: the basketball crowd.
- 4:32Speaker 2: When he was hired as a head coach.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Just a lot of things that are like player first
- 4:36Speaker 5: mentality and has a proven track record now albeit at
- 4:40Speaker 5: like smaller universities before he got there, but like the
- 4:43Speaker 5: guy has a program builder. Hey he's turned I mean
- 4:46Speaker 5: Elon University. Yep, that's a that's a school.
- 4:49Speaker 3: That's a school.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Uniforms, we got helmets, they played tackle football then did
- 4:54Speaker 5: uh some really good things that James Madison so like
- 4:56Speaker 5: he's a.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He's a proven head coach that knows how to build this.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Man, google me last year. Uh huh.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Okay, So he's kind of flexing all over the play.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Every time you put him in front of a microphan
- 5:10Speaker 5: it's like, hey, clip it and do I like it?
- 5:14Speaker 5: Do I not like it? And then I think at
- 5:16Speaker 5: the end of the day, most people are like, Okay,
- 5:17Speaker 5: yeah I like it. Yeah, it's it's pretty good.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I think the hype caught up with him last year.
- 5:23Speaker 5: The talent started to show through, but man, they were
- 5:26Speaker 5: for being his first year. I mean, what a what
- 5:30Speaker 5: a turnaround that That program was.
- 5:31Speaker 3: A school that won like three games two years before.
- 5:33Speaker 5: That, right, and he's done that same type of thing
- 5:36Speaker 5: at every point. All the smaller schools, they were all
- 5:38Speaker 5: struggling and he turned them around like fast. So that
- 5:42Speaker 5: shows me that guys play for him. He's a players,
- 5:44Speaker 5: a player's first coach, knows how to get the best
- 5:47Speaker 5: out of his guys, put them in position, and of
- 5:49Speaker 5: course he's got it. Seems like he should probably has
- 5:52Speaker 5: a good x's and o's scheme, So.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I I would expect.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Them to improve on last year. Now it's gonna be
- 6:01Speaker 5: hard for them to improve like the start that they
- 6:03Speaker 5: had last year, but their competition, how competitive they can
- 6:07Speaker 5: be against the big boys in the Big Ten. I
- 6:10Speaker 5: would I would expect to improve. Now I might not,
- 6:13Speaker 5: they might not jump that hurdle, but I expected it
- 6:15Speaker 5: be a little bit more competitive.
- 6:17Speaker 4: After that Oregon game on the road on October the eleventh,
- 6:20Speaker 4: they come back home for two games Michigan State and UCLA,
- 6:24Speaker 4: probably gonna be favorites in both of those games. Then
- 6:26Speaker 4: you got a road test against Maryland. Maryland was picked,
- 6:31Speaker 4: see Purdue was the last. Maryland was next to last
- 6:33Speaker 4: in the preseason in Big Ten polls. So we'll see
- 6:36Speaker 4: if Locks can get his team anywhere anywhere in the
- 6:40Speaker 4: middle of the stadings. I think would be a big
- 6:42Speaker 4: win for Maryland. So again, like you go to Oregon,
- 6:45Speaker 4: but then you get two home games. You got a
- 6:47Speaker 4: road trip against Maryland where you're probably still going to
- 6:49Speaker 4: be the favorite, and then you got to go too
- 6:50Speaker 4: Penn State.
- 6:52Speaker 3: You gotta go to Beaver Stadium.
- 6:55Speaker 4: You give Wisconsin at home as well, Bye week, and
- 6:57Speaker 4: then at Purdue. So really you look look at Illinois
- 7:01Speaker 4: game early in the season, that one's at home. You
- 7:03Speaker 4: do have a trip to Oregon, but you have a
- 7:05Speaker 4: bye week before, you've got a trip.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Two Penn State.
- 7:09Speaker 4: But the three games before that, you're probably going to
- 7:12Speaker 4: be a favorite. At home against Michigan State, at home
- 7:14Speaker 4: versus UCLA, and on the road against Maryland. So I
- 7:20Speaker 4: mean nine to three feels incredibly realistic for Indiana, and
- 7:24Speaker 4: after making a playoff last year or they eleven to
- 7:28Speaker 4: one in the regular season, I know it's a step back,
- 7:32Speaker 4: but that kind of solidifies them as a program that's
- 7:35Speaker 4: going to be in the conversation and who knows, who
- 7:38Speaker 4: knows if they beat Illinois and find their way to
- 7:41Speaker 4: ten and two, they've added that kind of talent. I
- 7:43Speaker 4: know Mendoz is not a household name in the SEC.
- 7:46Speaker 4: He's a really good quarterback. He is going to get
- 7:49Speaker 4: drafted in the first four rounds of the NFL draft
- 7:51Speaker 4: if he continues down the same path. He's an upgrade
- 7:54Speaker 4: at that position. They went and got skill players, two
- 7:58Speaker 4: tight ends, two receivers, two backs in the portal and
- 8:01Speaker 4: again last time they returned three All Americans on defense.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So I think Indiana. I think Indiana might be a.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Football school because they've been great in basketball in a while.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Either shout out to Bob Knight out Steve Alford.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Hey, I like to pick.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I'm excited, Mike Woodson, Dan Dokis Indiana. Maybe it feels
- 8:26Speaker 3: like it Isaiah Thomas.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That point for sure.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Somebody give me something victory.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Yep, it's an Indiana again, the Indiana he did go there?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Who's who's the movie.
- 8:42Speaker 3: That has nothing to do with Indiana?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeh?
- 8:45Speaker 3: But who's your the school that we're talking about?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Who's your there?
- 8:50Speaker 3: Can give me one?
- 8:51Speaker 4: Give me, give me one player that played tackle football
- 8:54Speaker 4: for Indiana.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Thank you. If you didn't get there, I was gonna
- 8:59Speaker 3: ask you to kindly leave.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I actually shocked that I did get it.
- 9:04Speaker 3: He was a human highlight when high school I know
- 9:06Speaker 3: he was.
- 9:08Speaker 2: That was like primetime. Middle school of high school is primetime.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Remembering people's names for me.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Anybody want to push back on Indiana being eighteenth ranked
- 9:18Speaker 4: team in the OTB Top twenty five?
- 9:20Speaker 3: Do we agree? Too high? Too low? Where are we at?
- 9:22Speaker 6: It's just right like you lose Curtis Roorcers starting quarterback,
- 9:26Speaker 6: but he's been a head coach for three years. As
- 9:28Speaker 6: far as major college like James Madison in Indiana, he's
- 9:32Speaker 6: thirty and six in three years, and like both of
- 9:35Speaker 6: those programs were terrible before he took over. Kurt Signetti wins.
- 9:39Speaker 6: Just ask him, google him, google that.
- 9:45Speaker 3: All right, who's up next, Landra?
- 9:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm next?
- 9:50Speaker 2: All right?
- 9:50Speaker 7: Seventeen seventeen.
- 9:54Speaker 6: That means that means our Matt Fillin Victor, he's gonna
- 9:58Speaker 6: get fifteen hard time, Dan.
- 10:02Speaker 5: I don't think it's quite as embarrassing as Jake taking
- 10:04Speaker 5: eighteen because he brags about it a lot.
- 10:08Speaker 2: He has a logo with eighteen.
- 10:09Speaker 4: And it Oh wow, it's my foundation logo. I guess
- 10:12Speaker 4: you hate charity.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Have you had that one before? Hey?
- 10:17Speaker 4: That was a little quick And somebody, Hey, somebody in
- 10:19Speaker 4: this building is actually donated to the game more in
- 10:23Speaker 4: Jersey raffle that I've got going on from my foundation
- 10:26Speaker 4: at Hester Sports. Check that on on Twitter at Hester
- 10:29Speaker 4: Sports Foundation on Instagram. Somebody in this building actually donated.
- 10:32Speaker 4: And I appreciate you, sir, because my co host, Nah,
- 10:37Speaker 4: who did it?
- 10:38Speaker 3: Not you give a shout out? I don't know. He
- 10:41Speaker 3: didn't say he wanted to shout out.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Does it never stopped us.
- 10:48Speaker 3: When it comes to charity, Matthew, Yes.
- 10:50Speaker 7: You're right, some things don't need to be broadcasted.
- 10:53Speaker 8: Yeah, like if I get money, I don't need to
- 10:55Speaker 8: tell the world I always did anonymous.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what Jake's trying to get me to tell
- 10:59Speaker 2: the world.
- 11:00Speaker 7: That you donated.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I'm trying to get you to but.
- 11:03Speaker 2: You did not if I did it anonymously.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Because this isn't an anonymous situation because I created it
- 11:10Speaker 4: is anonymous, but I can see it and so.
- 11:14Speaker 3: No Dragon, there's been no Dragon donations that would have
- 11:17Speaker 3: been it.
- 11:17Speaker 4: So if you want to be a good person and
- 11:20Speaker 4: not like Matt Flynn, like children, yeah, hey, if you
- 11:26Speaker 4: like kids and you'd like for them to have, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 4: actual the proper gear to be able to go out
- 11:31Speaker 4: there and be on a football field, a baseball diamond,

- 14:33Speaker 7: I think there's still a couple more we can.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Because you hate kids. Don't mean I hate music, Jesus,
- 14:38Speaker 4: I hate kids.

- 14:43Speaker 4: world in my eyes. Oh wow, Wow, guys, Wow.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sitting there.
- 14:53Speaker 4: I'm sitting there last night and I'm going through my
- 14:56Speaker 4: card collection. I'm about to put a lot out there.
- 15:00Speaker 4: We got some cool Green Bay Packer cards right here.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I'm sitting there, and you know what, I'm I'm putting
- 15:04Speaker 4: penny sleeves and top loading some cards that aren't really
- 15:08Speaker 4: you know, worth the time, but I know they'd mean
- 15:10Speaker 4: something to a young huck Flynn.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I'm thinking about hut because you know what, I care about.
- 15:16Speaker 4: All the kids. It's not just trick that loves of kids.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I do as well. We love kids here do TV.
- 15:27Speaker 4: I appreciate that you do.
- 15:27Speaker 7: We're for the kids. I mean, I just raised a
- 15:29Speaker 7: bunch of money for kids. Raising money for kids too.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you do all the time, O. TV is for
- 15:35Speaker 3: the kids, well most of us, three fourths of us.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I don't know why or what happened between. But like
- 15:46Speaker 5: the slander, the child hating slander that has.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Come to like I just had three fourths, it could
- 15:52Speaker 3: have been that hates kids. I don't know.
- 15:55Speaker 7: I've never seen Taylor raise money for kids.
- 15:57Speaker 3: That's true. I don't.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I'll be honest. The only I have. Okay, okay, what
- 16:05Speaker 2: if they're a bad kids.
- 16:08Speaker 7: To a baby shower this week?
- 16:12Speaker 2: First of maybe they're a bad kid because I want
- 16:14Speaker 2: supporting them.
- 16:14Speaker 3: That's true too.
- 16:17Speaker 2: You know what, guys, maybe it is me. There's no
- 16:20Speaker 2: winning argument, right I have I ever.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Told y'all know. I know I've said this on the air,
- 16:25Speaker 3: but I think it was years ago.
- 16:28Speaker 4: So one of the things we do is we you know,
- 16:31Speaker 4: we raise money to give you know, socks and UH
- 16:35Speaker 4: pads and you know, just mouthpieces and like different things,
- 16:39Speaker 4: right for different organizations. Well, one year, this was living
- 16:44Speaker 4: up in Trueport, and so we got gloves for fourteen,
- 16:48Speaker 4: Like I got gloves like and they sent them off.
- 16:52Speaker 4: And the way I did it, it was just like
- 16:53Speaker 4: you know, generic glove. It was wasn't you know, it
- 16:57Speaker 4: wasn't a name brand. It was just like a generic.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Because you're ordering, you have sixty of them, and so
- 17:04Speaker 4: I go to UH to take them and I drop
- 17:07Speaker 4: them off and the guy that is given them to
- 17:11Speaker 4: the team, he's like, man, it was hilarious. I was like,
- 17:13Speaker 4: what do you mean.
- 17:13Speaker 10: It's like when they opened the clubs up, they were like, man,
- 17:17Speaker 10: this isn't Adidas, this isn't Nike, this isn't under Armored,
- 17:22Speaker 10: this isn't even Newman's.
- 17:24Speaker 3: What are these?
- 17:27Speaker 2: I was a New Balance, not even New Balance. I
- 17:30Speaker 2: was like, what they were Russell?
- 17:31Speaker 4: Like, you know, I don't even know what company they were,
- 17:33Speaker 4: I really don't, but they were just like a generic
- 17:36Speaker 4: all black.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Find This is probably like before Amazon.
- 17:40Speaker 4: That's where I like, that's where it was okay, like
- 17:43Speaker 4: not Amazon, but it was like something like that. It
- 17:45Speaker 4: was like, you know, you buy in bulk and you
- 17:47Speaker 4: get sixty pairs of gloves. It's still believe you me.
- 17:50Speaker 4: It was not cheap, but it was.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I actually thought it was hilarious. I was like, that's funny.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like about Nike, not Adidas, he said, not
- 17:59Speaker 4: even human like they still know what Newman gloves are.
- 18:04Speaker 8: The ogs Wait, so they were like complaining. I mean
- 18:09Speaker 8: what I like kind of how you complain about free
- 18:13Speaker 8: stuff kind.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Of complaining, But more just I thought it was funny
- 18:16Speaker 4: because it was like looking for like a logo.
- 18:18Speaker 11: Ain't a logo on those nowhere to be found? Have
- 18:20Speaker 11: a logo on those? There's the inside that tells you
- 18:27Speaker 11: they helped you catch a football? Hopefully they didn't, you know.
- 18:31Speaker 11: I mean again, they were well made.
- 18:33Speaker 7: It used to be like, what are that's what he
- 18:36Speaker 7: was doing?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, before what are those things?
- 18:39Speaker 4: Like?
- 18:39Speaker 2: Look good? Feel good?
- 18:40Speaker 5: Feel good, play good. But if they didn't feel like
- 18:43Speaker 5: they look good, they might not have felt good.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Said you're thinking like maybe.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Maybe that was maybe that was maybe that was me.
- 18:55Speaker 4: I'm looking right now.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I hate the kids I got. Don't even get gloves
- 18:58Speaker 2: of logos on them.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Okay, also, but they were purchased for them.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Just good enough.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I'm looking for the brand because.
- 19:11Speaker 7: That would get them Nike gloves.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Oh there they are, look right there, they all black ones.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Bro.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Look that's a nice glove. Four point five on Amazon
- 19:25Speaker 3: out of five.
- 19:26Speaker 7: He did catch a couple.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the brand. It's not just it's rig wallrig
- 19:36Speaker 2: warl R all caps r I g W A r L.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay, but then all black gloves pretty sweet? Yeah
- 19:44Speaker 4: again four point five out of five.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Seventeen ninety nine. Prepare, I mean it's truly not bad.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna that's be grateful. I shud like like
- 19:59Speaker 4: I said, I thought it pretty funnyouldn't tell.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Me that anyways. Any who's and he's just sure that
- 20:04Speaker 3: story looking for the logo.
- 20:06Speaker 7: I mean those gloves look pretty okay, Yeah, they're good.
- 20:11Speaker 4: They have an American flag version and everything.
- 20:13Speaker 2: High quality stitching. I'm sure.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I'm sure. When not even a newman, not even.
- 20:22Speaker 6: I'm looking right now. They got some Dallas Cowboy ones,
- 20:25Speaker 6: which makes sense. It's probably the gloves they is. I
- 20:27Speaker 6: don't want to pay nobody.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh my god, there we go. Look here's a pair.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Look at those. You're looking at that blue glitter sparkles.
- 20:38Speaker 5: I don't think that the stickier, the catching part is
- 20:42Speaker 5: supposed to be all shiny like that?
- 20:43Speaker 3: Why not?
- 20:47Speaker 2: That is some good stitching, though.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Are Newman gloves still a thing? I think they are
- 20:51Speaker 4: at Bobby Bouchet's lawn, Moore. I think they are.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I think they are.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I think I hope that was the first glove.
- 21:00Speaker 3: It was the first one.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember the new Mans. We would They had
- 21:05Speaker 5: like the rain gloves, they had the leather ones, they
- 21:09Speaker 5: had the cold weather gloves. Yeah, I'm trying to remember
- 21:14Speaker 5: what the logo exactly looked like though.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Right, they were great, big in just a big D.
- 21:21Speaker 4: That's all it had right there. So I had no colors, right,
- 21:25Speaker 4: it was just all just gray, gray is what I had. Yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I never saw another color. Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 4: We also had never heard of Jane Beoree. So I
- 21:32Speaker 4: don't really know. I don't know if we trust you today.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I don't know. This is there's something bad happened this week.
- 21:39Speaker 2: You're taking it out on me today.
- 21:43Speaker 4: I've been a great mood of Lauder, right, good mood.
- 21:47Speaker 6: I mean it appears that way. Yeah, I don't know
- 21:49Speaker 6: for sure.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Very excited about the weekend, excited about preseason football, Saints Chargers.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Are you kidding me? It's pre season utopia?
- 21:57Speaker 5: Oh we got Sanders starting football, starting for the Browns tonight.
- 22:03Speaker 2: You think that'll be Do you think that'll be a
- 22:05Speaker 2: talking point today? I don't think.
- 22:07Speaker 5: I mean, I'm probably the first person to bring it up.
- 22:09Speaker 5: We'll try to highlight it next on Monday, just talking
- 22:13Speaker 5: like a.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Half sag on it.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that'll be.
- 22:15Speaker 2: That'll be about it. You can't you won't be able
- 22:17Speaker 2: to catch break it down. Will mel Kiper be at
- 22:20Speaker 2: the game? Oh my god, with a jersey, with a
- 22:23Speaker 2: jersey he's painted.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Yeah, no door painted on his body.
- 22:29Speaker 3: So help me? Why is he starting? I know Dylan
- 22:31Speaker 3: Gaber has got a hamstring.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Well eighty. Yeah, that's.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Like they don't really need to see it. We don't
- 22:42Speaker 5: need to see one hundred. We don't need to see
- 22:45Speaker 5: what he can do out there.
- 22:46Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 22:47Speaker 6: They've actually signed he just signed a fifth quarterback. And
- 22:50Speaker 6: I'm trying to remember his yeah, Tyler Huntley, I.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Mean Flacco's Flaco's NFL game take goes back to VHS
- 22:58Speaker 5: like he was.
- 22:59Speaker 3: He's our year.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, he's already.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I played with him at the Senior twenty. He
- 23:05Speaker 4: replaced Matt Ryan. I tell the story all the time.
- 23:07Speaker 4: He showed up khaki pants, Penny loafers, no socks, a
- 23:12Speaker 4: Polo company like, not a Polo shirt like the brand
- 23:15Speaker 4: Polo sweater vest Hard tucked into the khakis.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yep, absolutely at the combine.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Row for but he went out there and slang that thing.
- 23:26Speaker 5: He had a buttoned up plaid short sleeve computer Hard
- 23:32Speaker 5: duck out of the khakis at the combine with a tie,
- 23:35Speaker 5: didn't make it down to his waist.
- 23:38Speaker 2: A tie with a short sleeve shirt, Yep, that's a fit. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 2: white socks and Penny loafers. And it was awesome though. Yeah, great, dude.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I'm sure his styles improved.
- 23:50Speaker 5: I would think nobody's style was great in the two thousands,
- 23:54Speaker 5: not that not at that time wasn't great. Mine wasn't
- 23:57Speaker 5: great either, but his was timeless. Bad that one bad
- 24:01Speaker 5: in any era. But I'm sure it's improved a lot.
- 24:05Speaker 5: But man, what a what a legend. That man is
- 24:08Speaker 5: Joe Flacco. What a great his interview a couple of
- 24:11Speaker 5: weeks ago about like teaching the young kids. So now
- 24:14Speaker 5: that's not my job, they can watch me. I'm trying
- 24:17Speaker 5: to beat them out. It was a it was a
- 24:19Speaker 5: great response like that too.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I loved it like that.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Look, I'm not here to be their mentor, and people
- 24:25Speaker 5: get asked that a lot, and not everybody handles that
- 24:27Speaker 5: question the right way. But it's not like I'm I'm
- 24:30Speaker 5: here to make them better.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I'll be a good teammate.
- 24:32Speaker 2: That'll be a great teammate. Yah.
- 24:33Speaker 5: I answered all the questions, but I'm not certainly not
- 24:37Speaker 5: gonna get me fired. I'm not going to offer the
- 24:39Speaker 5: advice of them to beat me out. Need all the
- 24:42Speaker 5: advantages I can.
- 24:45Speaker 4: When you went to the combine went to the same year,
- 24:51Speaker 4: was there anybody that was out there that played your
- 24:54Speaker 4: position and you kind of thought to yourself a little bit.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I'm not saying that both confident guys or like, that's different.
- 25:03Speaker 4: I'm not sure I had that in the repertoire.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Oh like in a good way?
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, like in a good way?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:08Speaker 3: Yeah, No, oh I did. I would like a few
- 25:13Speaker 3: players after me, so I would do I would do whatever.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I'd run the forty, I do the whatever i'd I'd
- 25:18Speaker 4: be circling back and Chris Johnson was behind me.
- 25:23Speaker 6: It's better. It's better than having to go after Chris.
- 25:25Speaker 6: So at least you were in front of him.
- 25:27Speaker 2: True, Like I.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Knew who he was, but he went to East Carolina,
- 25:32Speaker 4: so it wasn't like this household name. Like I knew
- 25:34Speaker 4: a little bit about him, and I just remember thinking like, hell,
- 25:39Speaker 4: this guy from where'd he come from? Is this like
- 25:43Speaker 4: a five year vet that they let come to the combine.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 25:47Speaker 3: His first step was full speed, and.
- 25:50Speaker 4: I do remember thinking like, uh, teams are gonna draft
- 25:55Speaker 4: us to maybe play the same position.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Ye can be disappointed.
- 26:00Speaker 5: I told you the story about me. We I trained
- 26:03Speaker 5: with him for the combine down at the world Wide
- 26:05Speaker 5: World of Sports. Quiet guy, very quiet guy, very nice guy.
- 26:09Speaker 5: But we were practicing our starts and doing ten yard
- 26:12Speaker 5: sprints and like, I'm not like I wouldn't blazing fast.
- 26:14Speaker 5: I wasn't certainly wasn't slow. He beat me at a
- 26:17Speaker 5: ten yard sprint by like six yards. Yeah, and just
- 26:21Speaker 5: think about that, we're not going that far. But like
- 26:24Speaker 5: you said his first step was full speed. Yep, so
- 26:29Speaker 5: six yards beat me.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Shout out to our guy, Devin Snow.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Inside the chat, he said, I knew you were gonna
- 26:34Speaker 4: say Chris Johnson, first guy I thought of around that time.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Dev, that was it was humbling.
- 26:39Speaker 2: The opposite of Hester. Yep.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, it was humbling. I mean the opposite
- 26:44Speaker 4: of every person there. Now hold up, Now I did
- 26:47Speaker 4: have a faster aled drill than Chris Johnson.
- 26:49Speaker 2: No, yeah, he wouldn't trying.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah I did.
- 26:52Speaker 4: He's trying.
- 26:53Speaker 3: These little short stuady legs will get choppy and quick,
- 26:55Speaker 3: real fast.
- 26:59Speaker 11: They can make it nine a degree turn like you've
- 27:01Speaker 11: never seen never, like you've never seen before.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. But yeah, for the quarterbacks, this it's different.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I mean there wasn't anybody that was.
- 27:09Speaker 5: I mean there's big arms, but like I was, I
- 27:12Speaker 5: played with JaMarcus for four years, so it's like I
- 27:14Speaker 5: didn't see any like bigger.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Arm than him.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Like Josh Johnson was the guy that did something different.
- 27:21Speaker 5: He ran a four to four as a quarterback and
- 27:23Speaker 5: the combine like that's different.
- 27:26Speaker 4: But if you you're saying JaMarcus makes a lot of sense,
- 27:29Speaker 4: Like you had seen the biggest arm right in recent Maybe.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Josh Johnson was a guy that at the combine, I
- 27:34Speaker 5: was like he didn't belong here, Like as far as
- 27:37Speaker 5: like not throwing, he's didn't throw it good at all
- 27:39Speaker 5: at the combine. But he's had an amazing career. He
- 27:43Speaker 5: just was one of those days where it just it
- 27:45Speaker 5: wasn't his thing, Like it just didn't look good that day.
- 27:48Speaker 2: But he was. He's been a very good quarterback for
- 27:50Speaker 2: a long time.
- 27:50Speaker 5: But its just I remember he's the one that stuck
- 27:52Speaker 5: out to me because so many scouts were hyping him
- 27:56Speaker 5: up to me, like I'm like, I don't care, like
- 27:58Speaker 5: I'm here.
- 27:58Speaker 6: To get drafted myself, Like don't tell me about this other.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Uy, And then I watched it and I was like
- 28:02Speaker 5: this guy nah No, But yeah, I think, yeah, Josh
- 28:07Speaker 5: awnen' is still playing it Commanders.
- 28:10Speaker 3: He's played for almost every good fight, every team.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Absolutely, He's played in different leagues and just continue
- 28:17Speaker 4: to find a way. Really really talented guy and found
- 28:20Speaker 4: a way. And it's not easy, not you know, the
- 28:23Speaker 4: backup quarterback job. And I mean, obviously I'm talking to Flynn,
- 28:26Speaker 4: but like you have to do certain things like you
- 28:29Speaker 4: have to have certain qualities and traits about you, of course,
- 28:32Speaker 4: like when it's your number, you gotta be ready to go.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Even if it's negative twenty two and they're calling a
- 28:37Speaker 4: fake punt, you got to be ready to go. But
- 28:41Speaker 4: there's really talented guys that didn't embrace that role and
- 28:45Speaker 4: they lasted like four years, five years, maybe six in
- 28:49Speaker 4: the league. Where a guy that embraces it and knows
- 28:51Speaker 4: what the situation is and is ready to go can
- 28:54Speaker 4: play eight, nine, ten, sometimes thirteen fourteen.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Or let's see, in Josh Johnson's case, he's at.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I don't know how many credited seasons, but we've been
- 29:07Speaker 4: out for this has.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Got to be the seventeenth, seventeenth, third, sixteenth season. Yeah,
- 29:14Speaker 2: it's a good lowder retirement checked out there. Yep.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Every year you get more money on the old vested
- 29:19Speaker 4: pension check.
- 29:20Speaker 5: He's probably got one or two that doesn't count when
- 29:24Speaker 5: he was I don't know, he might be every year
- 29:26Speaker 5: because I know at a certain point this happened to
- 29:28Speaker 5: John coun in Green Bay. John Coon spent first two
- 29:30Speaker 5: or three years in Pittsburgh as a practice squad guy,
- 29:34Speaker 5: and then he spent seven more years on top, like
- 29:37Speaker 5: when he got to ten total years, but he had
- 29:40Speaker 5: seven vested seasons, but he had ten years in the NFL.
- 29:44Speaker 2: All of once you get to ten.
- 29:45Speaker 5: All of your practice squad years got added to your
- 29:49Speaker 5: total number counts. So he went from seven to ten
- 29:53Speaker 5: when hit when he hit game three after after the
- 29:56Speaker 5: third game of the season during his during his tenth year, Josh.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Almost there there because he's credited with nine. This will
- 30:03Speaker 6: be year ten.
- 30:03Speaker 2: That's crazy say that again.
- 30:05Speaker 6: He's credited with nine because in nineteen and twenty he
- 30:08Speaker 6: didn't play in the NFL. He was in the XFL
- 30:11Speaker 6: and UFL or whatever. And then this says Josh's first
- 30:15Speaker 6: year was nine, so he hadn't gotten to that, so he.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Must not have made on a team maybe practice squad
- 30:22Speaker 5: after year ten, which is this year, it should add one.
- 30:28Speaker 5: That is a shocking number to me because that means
- 30:31Speaker 5: said again, fourteen, So that means there's seven years of
- 30:34Speaker 5: Josh Johns's.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Career that we're not credited.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Yeah, but if he gets to that threshold of ten,
- 30:40Speaker 3: then they get at it.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Like you said, yeah, I don't know if that rule
- 30:42Speaker 2: still applies. This was I mean, it's got it. I
- 30:44Speaker 2: mean this is new CBA. I don't know. That was
- 30:48Speaker 2: probably twenty thirteen fourteen when Coon hit his so year.
- 30:51Speaker 6: There's a lot of years that are accredited because he's
- 30:53Speaker 6: credited nine to twenty thirteen, then not again until eighteen,
- 30:58Speaker 6: so there's a five year gap. Yeah, from thirteen to eighteen. No,
- 31:04Speaker 6: this is proofootball reference.
- 31:05Speaker 1: This is.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Yeah. I look, I'm gonna trust Tati on anything when
- 31:11Speaker 4: it comes to NFL.
- 31:13Speaker 6: That's surprising to me though, So I'm guessing for what
- 31:15Speaker 6: those five years must trust.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Him outside of everything except the team you roots for.
- 31:19Speaker 3: That's on him. Life's about choices and decisions, and.
- 31:22Speaker 4: He chose that.
- 31:24Speaker 7: Again, that's Stockholm sentrum at this point.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. All right, we are long for a break.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Let's go ahead and take it now. And when we
- 31:31Speaker 4: come back, well, dear the laund yeah we can. There's
- 31:38Speaker 4: any questions, Let's.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Get that at nine nine o'clock because hand up, we
- 31:43Speaker 3: messed up. De Yeah, that's good.
- 31:46Speaker 2: That's a good hour three though.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go nine am.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Dear delandre get your questions inside the Bayou Forward chat

- 32:04Speaker 4: Orleans Saints with some of these position battles we've talked about,
- 32:07Speaker 4: and we'll do.
- 32:07Speaker 3: It right here on OTB off the bench.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Are go to Budos Electrical dot Com. Right now, the

- 34:19Speaker 4: All right, welcome, make you a OTB one of four
- 34:21Speaker 4: five ESPN Ben Rude coming up on Sunday, NFL Network.
- 34:29Speaker 4: It's going to be the New Orleans Saints traveling out West.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Are already there so five Stadium to take on the
- 34:35Speaker 4: Los Angeles Chargers. I know not all preseason games are
- 34:40Speaker 4: created the same. This one feels like a big one
- 34:42Speaker 4: for the New Orleans Saints because, well, you only have
- 34:46Speaker 4: a handful of preseason games now it's Nike. It used
- 34:48Speaker 4: to be you're playing against a good football team that's
- 34:51Speaker 4: going to play I would assume they're starters for a
- 34:55Speaker 4: majority of the time early in the game, and you
- 34:59Speaker 4: got a quarterback back, and it's a great opportunity for
- 35:03Speaker 4: I'm assuming Spencer Ratler is going to get the start,
- 35:05Speaker 4: for Spencer Ratler to go out there and try to
- 35:07Speaker 4: separate himself some more from Tyler Schuck and from Jake Hayner.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Now, all three quarterbacks will play, we certainly.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Know that, but when you look at the New Orleans Saints,
- 35:17Speaker 4: I think this is going to be a big tell
- 35:20Speaker 4: for who ends up being your starting quarterback. Now in
- 35:22Speaker 4: the preseason, you still got home games against the Jags
- 35:26Speaker 4: and the Broncos, and you'll still assess the team, assess
- 35:29Speaker 4: the situation that game against the Jags, maybe you play
- 35:32Speaker 4: them even longer. But I think, and this isn't me
- 35:35Speaker 4: just because we've got the helmet here, I think the
- 35:37Speaker 4: Chargers is a much better roster.
- 35:39Speaker 3: So if the Chargers end up playing.
- 35:41Speaker 4: Their guys, and by the time you get to the
- 35:43Speaker 4: Broncos game, I know the whole Sean Payton.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Deal, but they're not going to play their guys. It's
- 35:46Speaker 3: the last preseason game.
- 35:47Speaker 4: So again, if the Chargers handle this like I think,
- 35:50Speaker 4: they're going to playing some of their guys.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I think this is going to be.
- 35:56Speaker 4: The best case study we have who potentially could be
- 36:00Speaker 4: the Saint starting quarterback.
- 36:01Speaker 2: And it's a chance.
- 36:03Speaker 5: It's an opportunity for Spencer Rattler to really put a
- 36:09Speaker 5: stamp on his first two weeks of training camp. If
- 36:12Speaker 5: all reports that we are getting, at least, of course
- 36:15Speaker 5: it's not coming from the coach's mouth, that's not coming
- 36:18Speaker 5: from there, but the reports that everybody's getting in.
- 36:20Speaker 2: The kind of the common theme, the common.
- 36:23Speaker 5: Denominator is that it's Spencer Rattler has separated himself. And
- 36:29Speaker 5: you know, it goes from like a Nick Underhill who
- 36:31Speaker 5: comes on our show every week, who before training camp
- 36:34Speaker 5: said yeah, I think Tyler Chuck's gonna be the starting
- 36:35Speaker 5: quarterback week one too, now saying there is a clear difference.
- 36:38Speaker 5: There's a clear separation. Whether that is a celebration of
- 36:43Speaker 5: Spencer or an indictment on Chuck, it doesn't really matter.
- 36:47Speaker 5: There is clear separation. So it is Rattler's chance to
- 36:51Speaker 5: kind of put a stamp on that and solidify what
- 36:55Speaker 5: he's done the first two weeks. Now, do I expect
- 36:57Speaker 5: them to name a Week one starter, even if Rattler
- 37:01Speaker 5: goes out there and plays really.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Well and the other two do not.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I don't fully expect there to be a Kellen More
- 37:09Speaker 5: press conference saying Spencer Ratler is I don't expect that
- 37:12Speaker 5: happen to happen until after the second preseason game, although
- 37:17Speaker 5: what they do in practice might go ahead and indicate
- 37:20Speaker 5: and tell you all you need to know. So if
- 37:22Speaker 5: he does play well and Chuck does not play well,
- 37:24Speaker 5: there's clearly a gap in performance during the game as well,
- 37:28Speaker 5: and there continues to be in practice leading up to
- 37:31Speaker 5: the game, then I think those repetitions stop going from
- 37:36Speaker 5: you know, whether it's it's not really thirty three thirty
- 37:38Speaker 5: three thirty three right now. But I would say Spencer's
- 37:40Speaker 5: probably get him about forty to forty five percent of
- 37:42Speaker 5: the reps. Would I would bet that that would start
- 37:45Speaker 5: going to Spencer getting sixty to eighty percent of the
- 37:48Speaker 5: reps with the ones. But no, I don't think they're
- 37:51Speaker 5: going to name a Week one starter after this first game,
- 37:54Speaker 5: even if there's a clear difference. But it certainly is
- 37:56Speaker 5: a chance for him, an opportunity to him to put
- 38:00Speaker 5: to make a big statement here and capitalize on I
- 38:03Speaker 5: guess the distance that he's kind of put on himself.
- 38:05Speaker 3: All right, let's go around the room real quick.
- 38:08Speaker 4: If it's not the quarterback position that you're watching here
- 38:11Speaker 4: coming up and look, everybody's gonna I hustle that.
- 38:13Speaker 3: We all know that. But there's other position battles.
- 38:17Speaker 4: There's other concerns on this roster as far as position
- 38:21Speaker 4: groups and so tite will start with you outside of quarterback,
- 38:26Speaker 4: which position are you watching?
- 38:27Speaker 6: It's gotta be running back behind Alvin Kamara, Like y'all
- 38:30Speaker 6: talked about it yesterday about this kind of being ken
- 38:32Speaker 6: and Dre's last opportunity to really prove something is to
- 38:35Speaker 6: get passed up by Devin Neil. What does the undrafted
- 38:39Speaker 6: guys look like? I mean, Clyde cam Akers, you got
- 38:42Speaker 6: a mixture of like rookies veterans all behind Camara.
- 38:47Speaker 3: That's where I'm watching Elandra.
- 38:49Speaker 7: Yeah, if I'm gonna go different from running back because
- 38:52Speaker 7: I'm kind of the same. Honestly, I've said this.
- 38:54Speaker 12: Before, but I feel like we were so focused on
- 38:57Speaker 12: the quarterback battle that like we have like people don't
- 39:01Speaker 12: really talk about we have, but I haven't seen like
- 39:05Speaker 12: the masses talk about the fact that there's question marks
- 39:07Speaker 12: at literally every single position.
- 39:09Speaker 7: I feel like, but I think I'm gonna be watching
- 39:11Speaker 7: the corners.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Okay, that's running back, That's where I would have been.
- 39:16Speaker 3: That's a going like kool aid.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Kool Aid.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you.
- 39:21Speaker 4: Need kool Aid to be really, really good. So you trade,
- 39:24Speaker 4: uh anytime you trade like that in the NFL draft,
- 39:27Speaker 4: and we're talking about in the second round, that's massive.
- 39:29Speaker 3: That's somebody you're counting on to be a like Day
- 39:32Speaker 3: one starter.
- 39:33Speaker 4: So Koli mcinsry is somebody that the Saints they absolutely
- 39:37Speaker 4: have to have him be the guy they thought he
- 39:39Speaker 4: was when they drafted him.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Yeah, like so many people are like, oh, who's gonna
- 39:43Speaker 6: start opposite of kool Aid McKinstry, But like nobody's taken
- 39:46Speaker 6: into consideration. But if he's not the guy you think
- 39:49Speaker 6: he is either, I mean he played a little bit
- 39:50Speaker 6: as a rookie, not a ton Like if if kool
- 39:53Speaker 6: Aid can't step up, then you're really in trouble. Like
- 39:56Speaker 6: Quincy Riley been good, really good.
- 39:59Speaker 4: He's a draft pick from this year. He's been good
- 40:01Speaker 4: in camp. But you need kool Aid to be a
- 40:04Speaker 4: starting NFL corner and play really well. You have assets
- 40:07Speaker 4: into him, not just the pick that he was but
- 40:09Speaker 4: a you know, a trade within the draft.
- 40:12Speaker 5: He has to be good and we've seen really good clips,
- 40:16Speaker 5: but everybody has good clips in practice, right, so you've
- 40:19Speaker 5: got to see it on the game film. That's what
- 40:21Speaker 5: preseason games are for. You want to see it. You
- 40:23Speaker 5: want to show out. But yeah, you need to be
- 40:25Speaker 5: able to give the rest of your defense and a
- 40:28Speaker 5: new defensive cad coordinator a lot of freedom. It is
- 40:32Speaker 5: such a luxury to have one guy that you can
- 40:34Speaker 5: always rely on that you don't need to help. You
- 40:37Speaker 5: don't need to shade a safety to roll a safety
- 40:40Speaker 5: over you don't. You can let him kind of do
- 40:43Speaker 5: his thing and let's disguise the rest of the field.
- 40:46Speaker 5: So yeah, it's a it's a huge luxury. So I
- 40:50Speaker 5: would expect that he would make some he would make
- 40:54Speaker 5: some strides, but going into second year, he could make
- 40:58Speaker 5: a lot of strides. And if he if he, if
- 41:01Speaker 5: he really shows out this year and becomes a true
- 41:03Speaker 5: one number one corner, which some of these like when
- 41:08Speaker 5: I watch these clips that come out of training camp, yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 5: you see good plays and there's everything you see is
- 41:13Speaker 5: a highlight for somebody.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But I try to like you know dissect.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Why it was a highlight, Like what his hous, his footwork,
- 41:20Speaker 5: his break on the ball, his reacting to late hands
- 41:23Speaker 5: by the wide receiver, like what why did he make this?
- 41:27Speaker 5: And consistently he's doing a really good job with route
- 41:30Speaker 5: recognition from those clips that I've seen.
- 41:33Speaker 2: So we'll see, we'll see what happens when.
- 41:35Speaker 7: You got Quincy Riley?
- 41:36Speaker 4: Is that who you are? Just yeah, he's had really
- 41:39Speaker 4: good you drafting this year at Louisville, He's had a
- 41:41Speaker 4: really good camp.
- 41:42Speaker 12: So he's somebody that's also like I'm excited about Rashid Shaheed.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Well he's been like I went to but also like
- 41:50Speaker 4: reports on Louisiana Sports done after Ross, he's been.
- 41:53Speaker 5: Nick said it this week, he said he's been the highlight.
- 41:56Speaker 5: He's been the star of training camp.
- 41:58Speaker 12: Probably the receivers is like, what's the big highlight of
- 42:02Speaker 12: the first team right now?
- 42:04Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 42:04Speaker 3: Second team?
- 42:05Speaker 6: Yeah, so that's the thing kind of put it in
- 42:07Speaker 6: the docola. But I was like, receivers outside of the
- 42:09Speaker 6: top three guys.
- 42:10Speaker 12: Yeah, but isn't that kind of like the whole roster though,
- 42:12Speaker 12: Like we're like, okay, cool, Like the first the.
- 42:14Speaker 3: First twenty two great.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I think they're like there's somewhere the
- 42:19Speaker 4: probably the back into the middle, right, you know, seventeen
- 42:22Speaker 4: eighteen nineteen. Yeah, as far as like roster, you you
- 42:25Speaker 4: get past that first twenty two, it's thirty second.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Only one team plays, though, let's go.
- 42:32Speaker 4: They need one team to stay healthy. I know, we
- 42:34Speaker 4: gotta take a break. I would have gone with Trevor Pinning.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Trevor Pinning making the move from tackle to guard. All
- 42:39Speaker 4: reports have been really good. Even Nick Underhill this week
- 42:42Speaker 4: said that he's been shocked himself. He'd never thought that
- 42:44Speaker 4: Trevor Pinning would look as good as he has. I
- 42:47Speaker 4: think there's something about having bodyguards on each side. When
- 42:49Speaker 4: you're that aggressive player, you can be who you truly
- 42:53Speaker 4: are meant to be. So Trevor Pinning at guard, That's
- 42:55Speaker 4: what I'm gonna be paying attention to outside and.
- 42:59Speaker 5: Then we gotta go a break, Like, let's just call
- 43:01Speaker 5: it what it is. The most exciting thing about this
- 43:02Speaker 5: game is going to be the quarterbacks. But to see
- 43:04Speaker 5: how Kellen Moore's new offense. We got a new head coach,
- 43:07Speaker 5: we got a new offense. To see what that style
- 43:09Speaker 5: is and get a true glimpse inside, look at what
