- 1:00Speaker 1: That Kevin Show.
- 1:08Speaker 5: And now, from the Connors & Sullivan Broadcast Studios, the
- 1:12Speaker 5: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 1:15Speaker 5: is way grateful that he's not who he used to be,
- 1:18Speaker 5: here's the show.
- 1:25Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Welcome in Kevin McCullough. Glad to have you with us.
- 1:28Speaker 4: It is a Friday. And so we've got a lot
- 1:30Speaker 4: to get to and thank you to those of you
- 1:33Speaker 4: that are with us every day. Uh, this has been
- 1:36Speaker 4: a great week with how do we live and what
- 1:38Speaker 4: we've looked at by way of Matthew 11. Also been
- 1:41Speaker 4: an interesting week news wise, and the news is not
- 1:44Speaker 4: calming down at all. In fact, we've got a lot
- 1:49Speaker 4: of incidents that we're going to have to address on
- 1:52Speaker 4: today's show. Um, one of which I just want to
- 1:55Speaker 4: start in my home city here in New York yesterday,
- 1:59Speaker 4: around four o'clock in the afternoon, um, law enforcement agents
- 2:07Speaker 4: showed up at a place where a man who was
- 2:12Speaker 4: here illegally was to be taken into custody. He had
- 2:20Speaker 4: the opportunity to go peacefully and, Something happened to the
- 2:24Speaker 4: degree that he chose not to, and he ended up
- 2:29Speaker 4: getting shot by law enforcement officers, and he ended up
- 2:35Speaker 4: spending the night at the hospital, and he's expected to
- 2:38Speaker 4: make a full recovery. But he is not in the
- 2:41Speaker 4: custody of New York State or New York City. He
- 2:43Speaker 4: is in the custody of the federal authorities because he
- 2:48Speaker 4: is not supposed.
- 2:49Speaker 7: To be here.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And in his time in being here, he has committed
- 2:57Speaker 4: grand larceny and had previous arrests for assault, robbery, drug possession,
- 3:08Speaker 4: and weapons charges. He also has ties to the Trinitarios gang,
- 3:14Speaker 4: which I'm not familiar with that gang. I'm not familiar
- 3:18Speaker 4: with where they're from or who it is.
- 3:24Speaker 7: But the mayor.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Last night, instead of saying to the law-abiding people of
- 3:33Speaker 4: New York City, law enforcement is here to assist us.
- 3:38Speaker 4: They are helping us protect this city. They are taking
- 3:41Speaker 4: people out that are dangerous. He instead said that he
- 3:49Speaker 4: demanded that President Trump and all ICE enforcement And then
- 3:56Speaker 4: he said some other things that further encouraged more protests
- 4:00Speaker 4: and confrontations with additional law enforcement, some of which were his, NYPD, later.
- 4:05Speaker 7: In the evening.
- 4:07Speaker 4: The mayor said he urged the president to have the
- 4:10Speaker 4: man released, an effort that was unsuccessful, and he said
- 4:15Speaker 4: that New York City wants ICE agents out. This is
- 4:19Speaker 4: what the mayor said. All they do is terrorize this city.
- 4:25Speaker 4: That's he speaking of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Law
- 4:32Speaker 4: enforcement officers, whose charge and deputization comes from the federal authorities,
- 4:39Speaker 4: not the state and not the city, but the feds.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Mamdani also accused ICE of acting with impunity and spreading
- 4:48Speaker 4: chaos and terror across the country, alleging that ICE has
- 4:53Speaker 4: killed more people than it has saved. That's a provably
- 4:57Speaker 4: false statement. He said today's shooting is only further devastating
- 5:03Speaker 4: confirmation of what we've known, long known. Ice is rotten
- 5:08Speaker 4: to its core, he added. Mamdani also confirmed that the
- 5:14Speaker 4: man who was shot had been transported out of the
- 5:16Speaker 4: hospital by ICE agents. So he was doing well enough
- 5:20Speaker 4: to be able to leave. The governor also spoke to
- 5:25Speaker 4: the president and then posted that she spoke to President
- 5:29Speaker 4: Trump and DHS Secretary Mullen about the shooting. She said,
- 5:33Speaker 4: Governor Hochul? I join you in that request. Let's put
- 5:54Speaker 4: the body camera footage out to the public. Let's see
- 6:01Speaker 4: what happened in this incident. And the reason that I
- 6:04Speaker 4: say that is because in the two incidents in which
- 6:08Speaker 4: people were shot in Minnesota, those people that were involved there,
- 6:15Speaker 4: a story came out to the press that was painted
- 6:18Speaker 4: in a certain manner that And then when you actually
- 6:21Speaker 4: got the videotape and you actually understood what was happening,
- 6:26Speaker 4: the complete opposite was happening. They weren't just peaceful protesters
- 6:30Speaker 4: that were the one guy was actively trying to kick
- 6:35Speaker 4: police officers, law enforcement officers and their vehicles and damage
- 6:41Speaker 4: their vehicles. And the woman who was shot was instructed
- 6:48Speaker 4: to get out of her car. by law enforcement, which,
- 6:53Speaker 4: and she has to do that. And she instead chose
- 6:56Speaker 4: to drive away. That's always the wrong choice. I tell
- 7:02Speaker 4: my children, I have a Haitian son. I have American
- 7:06Speaker 4: born children. It doesn't matter the color of their skin.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I tell them all the time. If the police officer
- 7:13Speaker 4: asks you to do something, you comply. And if you
- 7:17Speaker 4: feel like you're treated wrongly in the process, then we
- 7:21Speaker 4: have recourse for that afterwards. But at the time, as
- 7:25Speaker 4: a law-abiding citizen, you abide by the law being enforced
- 7:31Speaker 4: at the time. This is a no-brainer in a lawful society.
- 7:39Speaker 4: The problem here is that you have mixed messages coming
- 7:44Speaker 4: from those who enforce the law. The only ones sowing
- 7:49Speaker 4: chaos into the culture as it pertains to the lawful
- 7:55Speaker 4: presence of criminals in our cities are people like Mayor Mamdani.
- 8:04Speaker 7: And Governor Hochul.
- 8:07Speaker 4: And because they choose to live in that confusion and
- 8:12Speaker 4: to promote that chaos by sending the next message that
- 8:17Speaker 4: you don't really have to obey the law, The law
- 8:20Speaker 4: is just kind of a suggestion. It's just kind of
- 8:23Speaker 4: something we do. It's not really law. Because they do that,
- 8:34Speaker 4: people don't know how they should respond. In the McCullough House,
- 8:39Speaker 4: it is clear. We are not confused in the McCullough House.
- 8:44Speaker 4: In the McCullough House, the McCullough children will obey the law.
- 8:50Speaker 4: and law enforcement. And because they will, and do so
- 8:57Speaker 4: in a glad spirit and in a kind fashion, regardless
- 9:01Speaker 4: of the color of their skin, the likelihood that they
- 9:05Speaker 4: will end up in some sort of scenario in which
- 9:08Speaker 4: they will be hurt will.
- 9:10Speaker 7: Be next to impossible.
- 9:16Speaker 4: If you actually look at the statistics of how many
- 9:19Speaker 4: people law enforcement actually shoot and or kill in the
- 9:23Speaker 4: line of duty on any given year, it is so
- 9:28Speaker 4: minuscule across the country in terms of the percentages. These
- 9:33Speaker 4: elected leaders want to make you think that law enforcement's
- 9:37Speaker 4: out of control and we need to defund police and
- 9:39Speaker 4: get rid of ICE. No, what we need are elected
- 9:43Speaker 4: leaders who will obey the law themselves. Kevin McCullough coming
- 9:47Speaker 4: right back.
- 9:50Speaker 8: Bye. Bye.
- 10:13Speaker 9: From New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 10:19Speaker 4: All right, welcome to the Friday edition. Kevin McCullough, glad
- 10:22Speaker 4: to have you with us. Thank you for spending the
- 10:24Speaker 4: week with us. Looking forward to wrapping it up strong today.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Lots of news to talk about, lots of guests. But
- 10:30Speaker 4: before we do anything else, you know that the focus
- 10:33Speaker 4: that I like to start with is where do we go?
- 10:35Speaker 4: How do we live in a culture that is seemingly
- 10:39Speaker 4: at odds with God, with truth, with scripture, with... people
- 10:44Speaker 4: that hold to those things dearly. What are we supposed
- 10:48Speaker 4: to do? How are we supposed to live if we
- 10:51Speaker 4: believe those things personally? And the answer this week has been.
- 10:57Speaker 7: The same.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if the culture opposes us or not.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Our calling stays the same. And so glad to have
- 11:05Speaker 4: Pastor Bill Bailey with us. He's the teaching pastor, lead pastor,
- 11:08Speaker 4: senior pastor at Journey by Grace Church there in Rostraver, Pennsylvania,
- 11:14Speaker 4: just outside the Pittsburgh area. And he's been there for
- 11:18Speaker 4: a little while. I think he'll figure this out one
- 11:21Speaker 4: of these days, but 52 years. And Bill, it's been
- 11:24Speaker 4: such a joy to have you with us. And I'm
- 11:26Speaker 4: so grateful for pastors every week that take a full
- 11:29Speaker 4: week out of their busy schedule and share with us
- 11:32Speaker 4: each day.
- 11:33Speaker 7: It's been very....
- 11:35Speaker 4: Insightful and convicting for me most of these conversations that
- 11:38Speaker 4: we have. So thank you for doing that. And if
- 11:40Speaker 4: people are in your area this Sunday, how do they
- 11:43Speaker 4: find you? And if they want to come worship with
- 11:45Speaker 4: you guys, where do they go?
- 11:47Speaker 8: Well, the best way, I guess, would be to Google
- 11:52Speaker 8: Journey by Grace. And we're right on a main line
- 11:58Speaker 8: that travels south out of Pittsburgh. And it's easy to find.
- 12:03Speaker 8: Very easy.
- 12:05Speaker 7: All right. What time?
- 12:06Speaker 8: Yeah, two services, Sunday morning, 9 and 1045.
- 12:12Speaker 7: All right.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Well, then I hope that if people are in the area,
- 12:15Speaker 4: they will stop in. Bill, we've been looking at a
- 12:18Speaker 4: very well-known passage. Again, I say this yesterday. There are
- 12:22Speaker 4: phrases of these verses that we've looked at that you've
- 12:24Speaker 4: probably heard people say many, many times. Come unto me,
- 12:28Speaker 4: all that you labor and are heavy laden. I'll give
- 12:31Speaker 4: you rest. Take my yoke upon you.
- 12:32Speaker 7: Learn of me.
- 12:34Speaker 4: You'll find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy.
- 12:36Speaker 4: My burden is light. These are these have been, I think,
- 12:40Speaker 4: Sunday schoolified for a lot of us for the majority
- 12:43Speaker 4: of our Christian walk. But you've helped us kind of
- 12:46Speaker 4: peel the onion layers back a little bit better this week.
- 12:49Speaker 7: And it really has.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Revealed the work of grace in the life of the
- 12:53Speaker 4: believer and Jesus's work of grace on the cross. So
- 12:56Speaker 4: where do we end this discussion today?
- 12:59Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 8: All right. Well, Kevin, we've been talking all week about
- 13:04Speaker 8: God's amazing grace, His life-transforming grace. So I thought it
- 13:11Speaker 8: would be helpful to talk about the way grace works
- 13:15Speaker 8: in our life. Excellent. And the way grace works is
- 13:19Speaker 8: always in harmony with truth. For example, the Bible says
- 13:25Speaker 8: of Jesus in John's Gospel, chapter 1, verse 14, it
- 13:30Speaker 8: says of Jesus, he was full of grace and truth.
- 13:36Speaker 8: In other words, he fully embodied a life of grace,
- 13:39Speaker 8: a life of truth, and needless to say, he did
- 13:44Speaker 8: it with absolute perfection. And really, that's the goal that
- 13:49Speaker 8: God has for all of us as followers of Jesus.
- 13:54Speaker 8: We need a commitment to live a by God's supernatural
- 13:59Speaker 8: grace support, while at the same time, we are willingly
- 14:05Speaker 8: being submissive to the truth of God's Word. And needless
- 14:10Speaker 8: to say, this is a huge challenge, especially living in
- 14:16Speaker 8: the kind of world that we're presently living in, 2026.
- 14:20Speaker 8: I remember back in the 1970s when I began a
- 14:29Speaker 8: career in public ministry. The big issue back in those
- 14:34Speaker 8: days was, is the resurrection event really true? Did Jesus
- 14:42Speaker 8: really come alive from the dead? Is that a truth? Well,
- 14:49Speaker 8: if you fast forward now 50 plus years, the issue
- 14:54Speaker 8: today has changed. We're now asking, is there really such
- 14:59Speaker 8: a thing as truth? And frankly, it seems like the
- 15:04Speaker 8: majority of people in American culture are saying no to
- 15:09Speaker 8: that question. In fact, what people are actually saying is
- 15:15Speaker 8: that truth is relative to the individual. In other words,
- 15:20Speaker 8: you need to determine what is right, what is wrong,
- 15:24Speaker 8: what is good, what is bad. You need to determine
- 15:27Speaker 8: truth based on how you feel in regard to whatever
- 15:35Speaker 8: particular issue, which means then, of course, that everything is subjective.
- 15:42Speaker 8: And subjectivity, I think, is driving American culture today. It's
- 15:51Speaker 8: what we call in our time the issue of moral
- 15:55Speaker 8: and spiritual relativism. For example, truth in the world today
- 16:02Speaker 8: is said to be constructed by us. We create it.
- 16:09Speaker 8: It's subjective in us and relative to us and always situational.
- 16:18Speaker 8: And those are the criteria that a lot of people,
- 16:22Speaker 8: the majority, seem to be living by. And the world
- 16:26Speaker 8: around us is actually pressuring all of us to believe this.
- 16:32Speaker 8: And we Christians are the bad guy because we're not
- 16:35Speaker 8: willing to buy into this, what is really nonsense. 73%
- 16:40Speaker 8: of mainline Protestant denominations believe say there is no such
- 16:49Speaker 8: thing as absolute truth. All truth is negotiable. And it
- 16:54Speaker 8: goes even into other groups. 68% of our Catholic friends
- 17:00Speaker 8: say no to truth being absolute. 53% of people who
- 17:06Speaker 8: attend evangelical churches have concluded the Bible is insightful, but
- 17:14Speaker 8: not absolute in every situation. For me personally, this is scary,
- 17:20Speaker 8: thinking that my kids and grandkids are going to grow
- 17:25Speaker 8: up in this subjective culture. It can be very dangerous,
- 17:30Speaker 8: to say the least. And yet, in light of all
- 17:34Speaker 8: of this, there is, yes, this is bad news, but
- 17:39Speaker 8: I have some good news as well. As Christians, we
- 17:42Speaker 8: have to always remember God. that we don't need to
- 17:45Speaker 8: fall to the schemes of darkness. The truth is we
- 17:50Speaker 8: have a north star to keep us centered, to keep
- 17:54Speaker 8: us stable and moving always in the right direction. And
- 18:02Speaker 8: our north star, I would suggest, is this. Jesus said,
- 18:07Speaker 8: I am the way, the truth, and the life. And
- 18:12Speaker 8: no one comes to the Father except through me. And
- 18:17Speaker 8: then that statement being made, he backs it up by
- 18:22Speaker 8: showing us an empty tomb. The amazing confirmation, validation of
- 18:31Speaker 8: the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In closing,
- 18:36Speaker 8: perhaps this is a good way to wrap it up.
- 18:41Speaker 8: Jesus also said in John's Gospel, chapter 8, verse 31,
- 18:47Speaker 8: He said, If you abide in my word, if you
- 18:50Speaker 8: live your life in my word, you are my disciples indeed.
- 18:55Speaker 8: In other words, you are validating who you are, and
- 19:00Speaker 8: you are in the path of discipleship. And then He says,
- 19:05Speaker 8: And you shall know the truth and the truth. will
- 19:09Speaker 8: make you free. And it does, as millions of Christians
- 19:15Speaker 8: can attest. There is real freedom to become everything God
- 19:22Speaker 8: has created us to be if we're willing to yield
- 19:26Speaker 8: our life over to the Lord Jesus Christ and live
- 19:31Speaker 8: in His plan, draw upon His grace, and to live
- 19:36Speaker 8: our life on the basis of of the amazing truth
- 19:41Speaker 8: of Scripture. I know in my personal life, the bondages
- 19:46Speaker 8: that I came out of as a young man, and
- 19:51Speaker 8: finally when I met a brother on the street at
- 19:55Speaker 8: the age of 22, I heard and understood for the
- 19:59Speaker 8: first time the gospel. And the gospel was... it was
- 20:08Speaker 8: absolutely revolutionary in my personal life. And I've seen it
- 20:13Speaker 8: work in the lives of thousands of people over the years.
- 20:18Speaker 8: So we're grateful for this North Star.
- 20:21Speaker 7: We are. And Bill, what a great thought to end on.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Thank you for a great week of challenging us in
- 20:27Speaker 4: our thinking and pray that God will be with the
- 20:30Speaker 4: journey and the congregation this weekend as you worship Journey
- 20:35Speaker 4: by Grace congregation, and thank you for spending and sharing
- 20:39Speaker 4: part of your heart with us.
- 20:40Speaker 7: We appreciate it.
- 20:41Speaker 8: Sure. It's been my pleasure, believe me.
- 20:43Speaker 7: All right.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough, we've got another great show for you, friends.
- 20:48Speaker 7: Don't go anywhere. Coming right back.
- 20:51Speaker 9: Stick around for more of That Kevin. From New York,
- 21:15Speaker 9: that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 21:20Speaker 4: All right, Kevin McCullough, glad to have you with us.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Final few minutes of hour one as we are wrapping
- 21:25Speaker 4: up the week on the radio. And, you know, I
- 21:29Speaker 4: started the hour out with my thoughts on what the
- 21:33Speaker 4: mayor and the governor said in their immediate reactions to
- 21:38Speaker 4: the situation in New York. And, and I, I, I
- 21:42Speaker 4: stand by that. I, I believe that they are causing
- 21:46Speaker 4: the chaos and the confusion through not following their own
- 21:51Speaker 4: laws that then create the dangerous situation that mayor Mamdani
- 21:57Speaker 4: is going to go, you know, pound a podium about. Um,
- 22:03Speaker 4: I don't know if you follow Britt Hughes on Instagram,
- 22:07Speaker 4: but if you don't, you should. She is a woman
- 22:09Speaker 4: filled with common sense. But I find her perspective interesting
- 22:16Speaker 4: as a mom and as someone who has some common
- 22:18Speaker 4: sense about this stuff.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Take a listen.
- 22:20Speaker 6: What happened today was an outrage. ICE agents surrounded the
- 22:25Speaker 6: man's vehicle before opening fire. When ICE agents opened fire,
- 22:29Speaker 6: a five-year-old child... A five-year-old was in the backseat of
- 22:34Speaker 6: the car. I had been on the phone with President
- 22:36Speaker 6: Trump and Secretary Mullen negotiating the release of the man
- 22:40Speaker 6: ICE agents shot. Those negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 22:45Speaker 11: He was an illegal alien gangbanger from the D.R. He
- 22:49Speaker 11: was a criminal who had already been arrested previously. New
- 22:52Speaker 11: York City for grand larceny, assault, robbery, possession of drugs,
- 22:56Speaker 11: and weapons charges. But they let him go because God
- 22:59Speaker 11: forbid we lock a dangerous person up in prison or
- 23:03Speaker 11: kick an illegal alien criminal out of the country.
- 23:05Speaker 10: Wouldn't want to do that. He resisted federal officers.
- 23:08Speaker 11: He got shot.
- 23:09Speaker 10: ICE had no idea that this kid.
- 23:11Speaker 11: Was even in the car, which by the way really
- 23:13Speaker 11: amounts to a hill of beans because being a dad
- 23:15Speaker 11: doesn't get you out of being arrested as an illegal
- 23:18Speaker 11: alien criminal. And And none of which would have even happened,
- 23:21Speaker 11: by the way, if New York City had turned this
- 23:23Speaker 11: guy over to ICE when they first arrested him in 2023.
- 23:26Speaker 10: But they don't.
- 23:27Speaker 11: So ICE has to go out on the streets to
- 23:29Speaker 11: get these guys.
- 23:30Speaker 10: And then stuff like this is what happens.
- 23:32Speaker 11: But, you know, if I'm being perfectly honest with you,
- 23:34Speaker 11: it makes sense that a Hamas sympathizer would feel bad
- 23:37Speaker 11: for the violent gangbanger who hid behind a kid because
- 23:40Speaker 11: that's pretty much your M.O.
- 23:43Speaker 4: That is what that is exactly what what happens. And
- 23:48Speaker 4: that's exactly what Hamas did. Britt has a very valid point.
- 23:56Speaker 4: And the fact that he has been so unrelentingly anti-Semitic
- 24:06Speaker 4: in his response to October 7th and 9-11 and Israel
- 24:12Speaker 4: in general, the fact that he repeats the lies of
- 24:15Speaker 4: a genocide taking place in Gaza, which I have demonstrated
- 24:20Speaker 4: on this show that there's no evidence of, there's zero
- 24:24Speaker 4: evidence of, you know what the word genocide means, right? It's, it's,
- 24:29Speaker 4: you're trying to wipe out an entire ethnic race of people.
- 24:35Speaker 4: You're not just killing bad guys that are trying to
- 24:38Speaker 4: kill you. You're, you're trying to wipe out every living
- 24:42Speaker 4: person of that ethnicity. And there is zero proof that
- 24:47Speaker 4: there is any genocide going on in Gaza. It's just
- 24:51Speaker 4: the willingness of these less than honest people to inject
- 25:00Speaker 4: that kind of vitriol into the discussion. And I'm trying
- 25:03Speaker 4: to figure out what good it does anybody. How does
- 25:09Speaker 4: it work out for anybody's welfare to when you insist
- 25:16Speaker 4: that what is happening is a systemic murder of all
- 25:19Speaker 4: people of a certain race, and there's no evidence to
- 25:23Speaker 4: back that up. You've heard numbers in recent months about
- 25:31Speaker 4: how many supposed innocent people were killed in Gaza, and
- 25:35Speaker 4: they got silly. They got ridiculously huge. 80,000, 100,000, 200,000,
- 25:38Speaker 4: a half million. I've heard crazy numbers. Gaza's own health
- 25:47Speaker 4: ministry said in 2025, 24,000 people died total. That's from
- 25:54Speaker 4: all forms of death, including disease and heart attacks and
- 26:00Speaker 4: cancer and accidents and everything. Yes, it also includes the
- 26:07Speaker 4: war deaths, but 24,000 for the entire year. That's about
- 26:12Speaker 4: 2000 people a month over the course of the year.
- 26:16Speaker 4: We have way more than that that die every day
- 26:20Speaker 4: in the United States. So this is nonsense. What they
- 26:27Speaker 4: are trying to perpetuate is nonsense. There is no genocide.
- 26:34Speaker 4: ICE is not hurting innocent Americans. They're not hurting innocent immigrants.
- 26:41Speaker 4: This man resisted arrest. He's a hardened criminal with a
- 26:46Speaker 4: rap sheet longer than my arm. And he did the
- 26:49Speaker 4: one thing you shouldn't do, which is disobey law enforcement
- 26:53Speaker 4: direct instructions. It's not hard to figure out.
- 26:59Speaker 7: I don't know why the mayor.
- 27:03Speaker 4: And the governor of New York and some other places
- 27:08Speaker 4: insist on trying to twist the truth. Because the truth is,
- 27:14Speaker 4: if you do let these people stay, bad things happen
- 27:19Speaker 4: to the population that are here. Mamdani said that ICE
- 27:23Speaker 4: have killed more people than they've helped. That is categorically false.
- 27:29Speaker 4: First of all, ICE have killed very few people. The
- 27:32Speaker 4: deaths that have happened in the carrying out of the
- 27:34Speaker 4: ICE investigation action points are very small. We have removed
- 27:39Speaker 4: hundreds of thousands of illegal criminals in the last two years.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Hundreds of thousands. You can count the deaths on one hand,
- 27:47Speaker 4: and they've always come from people that were resisting. Kevin McCullough,
- 27:50Speaker 4: we've got a lot more to get to. Christine Nicholas
- 27:52Speaker 4: joins me next.
- 28:12Speaker 9: Is from new york that kevin kevin mccullough.
- 28:20Speaker 4: All right welcome back it's that kevin show that kevin
- 28:22Speaker 4: show.com and if you're listening if you're if you're uh
- 28:27Speaker 4: in the new york area tonight you can turn on
- 28:30Speaker 4: my flagship station am 970 the answer at just a
- 28:33Speaker 4: little after seven o'clock And you'll hear my next guest
- 28:36Speaker 4: with me talking about all kinds of fun treasures to
- 28:40Speaker 4: do this weekend and in the weeks to come if
- 28:42Speaker 4: you're coming to New York. And by the way, I
- 28:44Speaker 4: want those of you listening outside of the city to
- 28:46Speaker 4: think of that, because if you're planning a trip to
- 28:49Speaker 4: the city for any time in the next 60 days,
- 28:53Speaker 4: listening to our show on Fridays will give you a
- 28:55Speaker 4: lot of targets of things that would be fun to
- 28:57Speaker 4: do when you do come. So I always want to
- 28:59Speaker 4: make sure that I'm telling the rest of the country
- 29:01Speaker 4: about all the good things that they can do here,
- 29:03Speaker 4: Christine Nicholas, because it is the world's greatest city. And
- 29:07Speaker 4: we still have, you know, the moniker of, you know,
- 29:10Speaker 4: there's New York and there's everywhere else. And when you
- 29:13Speaker 4: come to New York, you want to do the stuff
- 29:14Speaker 4: that makes New York memorable.
- 29:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 10: Well, thank you so much, Kevin, for having me. As
- 29:20Speaker 10: you will hear on tonight's show, for those of you
- 29:22Speaker 10: that want to tune in on Fun Friday on AM
- 29:25Speaker 10: 970 here in New York. We have a great show
- 29:30Speaker 10: because we also, as New Yorkers, unfortunately, we have more
- 29:33Speaker 10: time on our hands because our Yankees didn't seem to
- 29:37Speaker 10: get the memo. that we appreciate October and we want
- 29:43Speaker 10: a World Series win. It's been 17 years, guys.
- 29:47Speaker 4: You should have been here Tuesday night because. I couldn't
- 29:51Speaker 4: no matter what I tried to get Linda to talk about,
- 29:53Speaker 4: it all came back to the Yankees and how just
- 29:55Speaker 4: how terrible she was. I mean, she was mad. She
- 29:58Speaker 4: was mad at these Yankees.
- 30:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 10: Linda Perillo, who is your co-host on Tuesdays for Travel Tuesdays.
- 30:05Speaker 10: She is the daughter of Mario Perillo, who is an
- 30:09Speaker 10: icon in the travel business. There were commercials when he
- 30:12Speaker 10: was with us, you know, about going to Italy. He
- 30:15Speaker 10: was Mr.
- 30:15Speaker 8: Italy.
- 30:16Speaker 10: But Linda is a diehard Yankee fan. And in today's
- 30:19Speaker 10: Daily News, you can look it up online, she wrote
- 30:22Speaker 10: a very funny tongue-in-cheek op-ed, best column about what it's
- 30:28Speaker 10: like being a Yankee fan. And she attributes it to
- 30:30Speaker 10: being sort of a mom that is very forgiving of
- 30:33Speaker 10: their rambunctious, mischievous, naughty children.
- 30:37Speaker 7: That's it.
- 30:38Speaker 10: Yeah, because she's the mom of eight. So if somebody knows,
- 30:41Speaker 10: Linda knows what that's all about.
- 30:43Speaker 7: Yeah, she's also a pushover.
- 30:45Speaker 4: So I know that she was like one of those
- 30:47Speaker 4: moms that was like, okay, sweetie, let's do it.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Let's do it. Let's get it next time.
- 30:52Speaker 10: Well, but and, you know, we're at the age now
- 30:55Speaker 10: of when we look at these baseball players as kids,
- 30:58Speaker 10: because a lot of them are kids. And I think
- 31:00Speaker 10: that's where we overestimated the team's power as Yankee fans,
- 31:05Speaker 10: because we have two amazing kids, George Lombard, you know,
- 31:10Speaker 10: but they're 20 years old, 21 years old. And, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 10: they just don't maybe have the experience of, you know,
- 31:18Speaker 10: a stadium during the world during the playoffs. Fifty five
- 31:23Speaker 10: thousand people screaming. And it was almost like a blooper
- 31:27Speaker 10: reel that second game. I mean, it was embarrassing. I
- 31:29Speaker 10: think they had four errors. That's they've never done that before.
- 31:33Speaker 10: And they just couldn't keep the ball in their glove
- 31:35Speaker 10: in their hand. It was you know, they made the
- 31:37Speaker 10: highlight reels for the wrong reason. So we just couldn't
- 31:40Speaker 10: keep it together. Tampa Bay has always been sort of
- 31:42Speaker 10: a difficult team for us to overcome. So, look, I
- 31:47Speaker 10: guess now you've got to wonder, who do you root for?
- 31:49Speaker 4: Well, it's widely believed that Tampa Bay is the dominant
- 31:53Speaker 4: team of the AL and, you know, who they play
- 31:57Speaker 4: on the NL side, I guess.
- 31:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 7: But I think the Dodgers have.
- 32:00Speaker 4: To, until you knock the top team off, you've got
- 32:03Speaker 4: to give them a hat tip.
- 32:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 10: Yeah, I think the Dodgers are a shoe-in again, although
- 32:09Speaker 10: you do have with the White Sox something that others
- 32:12Speaker 10: don't have, and that's this divine intervention with our Pope.
- 32:15Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 32:15Speaker 8: Okay.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Rooting for the White Sox.
- 32:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 32:18Speaker 7: Going down that track.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Well, speaking of Catholic churches, I actually think that the
- 32:25Speaker 4: Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Israel– is the actual
- 32:29Speaker 4: burial ground of Jesus. This whole garden tomb site that
- 32:32Speaker 4: they've got set off way over to the side that
- 32:34Speaker 4: all the Protestants and evangelicals go to, it's just not
- 32:37Speaker 4: historically accurate. So I'm a fan of actual biblical Christianity,
- 32:42Speaker 4: where things are actually at, what it actually means, what
- 32:45Speaker 4: it actually says, that sort of thing. So along those lines,
- 32:49Speaker 4: tonight or tomorrow night, you introduced me to this group
- 32:53Speaker 4: doing this thing called Luminescence. We talked to them on
- 32:55Speaker 4: the show a couple of weeks ago. And Jonathan Rumi,
- 32:58Speaker 4: who's Jesus on The Chosen, which Catholics and Protestants both
- 33:02Speaker 4: love that show, he's going to be the narrator. But
- 33:07Speaker 4: you went to it last week on its opening night
- 33:09Speaker 4: or opening weekend. What was the experience like?
- 33:11Speaker 10: We were on opening night. It was fantastic because you're
- 33:14Speaker 10: sitting in one of the greatest cathedrals in our country, St.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Patrick's Cathedral. On the world.
- 33:19Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 33:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 10: It really is beautiful. And you don't get the chance really,
- 33:24Speaker 10: you know, I go there for mass quite, you know,
- 33:26Speaker 10: not regularly, but every now and then. And this is dark,
- 33:31Speaker 10: you know, and they have a sound and light show.
- 33:33Speaker 10: And it really focuses the lighting on these parts of
- 33:37Speaker 10: the cathedral that you've very rarely get to see. It's
- 33:41Speaker 10: a beautiful way of seeing it. And then it's accompanied
- 33:43Speaker 10: by first a harpist, a soloist. It's just this music,
- 33:49Speaker 10: a chorus. You have a full orchestra on Friday nights.
- 33:52Speaker 10: They have the music that accompanies it. And it really
- 33:56Speaker 10: is terrific. And I encourage everybody to go, Luminescence. Anytime
- 34:00Speaker 10: you can sit in a church, and I don't look,
- 34:02Speaker 10: it's either whether it's St. Patrick's or Riverside, where I
- 34:07Speaker 10: went last week when I went to the memorial service
- 34:10Speaker 10: for Dr. Clarence Jones. You have reflection and you have
- 34:14Speaker 10: that time to really understand the power of us as
- 34:19Speaker 10: Christians are pulled together, you know, due to the force
- 34:22Speaker 10: of Jesus Christ, right? And this is the story of
- 34:26Speaker 10: Jesus Christ. And what is really nice about Luminescence is
- 34:29Speaker 10: is they talk about that power. They talk about, you know,
- 34:34Speaker 10: it's not, it doesn't hit you over the head with
- 34:36Speaker 10: religion because the music is there. And it's also a
- 34:40Speaker 10: story of the building of St. Patrick's, which has a
- 34:44Speaker 10: lot to do with New York City immigration and the
- 34:47Speaker 10: flood of the Irish coming in. But it just makes
- 34:51Speaker 10: you feel closer to God. And That's what we need
- 34:56Speaker 10: right now.
- 34:56Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to experiencing it. And I'm taking the
- 34:59Speaker 4: whole family. And if you want to know more, it
- 35:01Speaker 4: is online.
- 35:02Speaker 7: You can look it up.
- 35:03Speaker 4: But Luminescence has done this or Bonje Entertainment has done
- 35:07Speaker 4: this now. And I think seven or eight historical cathedrals
- 35:12Speaker 4: around the world. And there's a couple more that they're
- 35:15Speaker 4: going to do or they have done in the U.S.
- 35:17Speaker 4: So it might be coming to an area near you.
- 35:18Speaker 4: But they're always about the location itself. It's not it's
- 35:22Speaker 4: not a, you know. copy and paste type of show.
- 35:25Speaker 4: It's like they build this into the specific location where
- 35:28Speaker 4: they're at and it's really something to see. Alright, Christine,
- 35:32Speaker 4: thank you for stopping by. Always a big fan of
- 35:35Speaker 4: New York, even if your Yankees aren't doing well.
- 35:37Speaker 7: I appreciate how.
- 35:38Speaker 10: Yeah, there's always next year, which we're now starting to
- 35:40Speaker 10: sound like the Mets.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I appreciate how you always have the welcome mat out
- 35:43Speaker 4: for people to come to our city and to say,
- 35:46Speaker 4: come and experience something you haven't seen before.
- 35:49Speaker 7: Coming right back.
- 35:51Speaker 9: Stick around for more of That Kevin next.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Serving it up with a no-drink minnow.
- 36:10Speaker 4: It's That Kevin Show.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Welcome back.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough, very grateful to have you with us. You know,
- 36:15Speaker 4: we could not do this show every day without tremendous partners.
- 36:19Speaker 4: And I am seeing I'm going to have to have
- 36:21Speaker 4: the guys from Dominion chat back. You know, we're allowing
- 36:26Speaker 4: those of you that would like to try Dominion chat
- 36:29Speaker 4: for free for a year to to do so. If
- 36:33Speaker 4: you go to that Kevin show dot com and click
- 36:35Speaker 4: promotions and then click the Dominion chat promotion, you'll find
- 36:39Speaker 4: all the sign up stuff there. but you can actually
- 36:43Speaker 4: try dominion.chat free for a year, one year, full year,
- 36:47Speaker 4: that they will put the cost for you to do it.
- 36:51Speaker 4: I think it's the first hundred that sign up. And
- 36:53Speaker 4: when you go, all you have to do is say,
- 36:56Speaker 4: I'll use it, and then I'll give you some feedback
- 36:58Speaker 4: about what it was like to use it. But you
- 37:00Speaker 4: know what people are saying right now? It's better than ChatGPT.
- 37:03Speaker 4: It's better than Claude. When it comes to everything that
- 37:07Speaker 4: you turn to AI for, which has basically become a
- 37:10Speaker 4: combination of Google and, and whatever, like people are using
- 37:14Speaker 4: it to get accurate information about stuff faster than ever before.
- 37:18Speaker 4: And there's this huge, I don't know if you saw
- 37:19Speaker 4: the hit piece that, um, Laura O'Donnell did, um, or
- 37:24Speaker 4: Nora O'Donnell did on CBS news last night, but that
- 37:27Speaker 4: thing on data centers was one of the most biased,
- 37:30Speaker 4: inaccurate things I've ever seen in my life.
- 37:33Speaker 7: And she didn't.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Have actual quantitative or qualitative comments from people that are
- 37:39Speaker 4: actually involved in the data center expansion. It just, it
- 37:42Speaker 4: was really, it was such a hit piece and it
- 37:44Speaker 4: was so dishonest. AI is not going anywhere. If you
- 37:48Speaker 4: look at every app on your phone, Every single one
- 37:53Speaker 4: of them either have an AI option that invites you
- 37:56Speaker 4: to use it, or they are now incorporating AI into
- 38:00Speaker 4: your help, request, search commands, whatever it is that you
- 38:04Speaker 4: ask that app to do. They're using AI in such
- 38:08Speaker 4: a way that it helps you do it faster and
- 38:10Speaker 4: more accurately. And every app on your phone does it.
- 38:13Speaker 4: It's not just one or two. Every search engine now
- 38:18Speaker 4: uses AI. Everywhere you turn, AI is being used. Now,
- 38:22Speaker 4: that doesn't mean that I'm in favor of generative stuff.
- 38:25Speaker 4: And the generative AI debate is a different debate altogether.
- 38:29Speaker 4: But will AI be here and will it make a
- 38:31Speaker 4: difference in the way we live? It already is. There
- 38:34Speaker 4: is no will involved. It is already happening. And it's
- 38:38Speaker 4: so funny because they interviewed one guy that did a real,
- 38:42Speaker 4: you know, we're not letting AI come into our town
- 38:46Speaker 4: kind of soundbite from a guy. And you see him
- 38:48Speaker 4: in one of the B-roll shots checking his phone. I'm like, dude,
- 38:51Speaker 4: that device is all AI. Everything that's on that device
- 38:54Speaker 4: is being powered by intelligence. It's adding to its knowledge
- 38:59Speaker 4: base all the time. That's what AI is. It is
- 39:05Speaker 4: adding intelligence to what it can do and help and
- 39:09Speaker 4: everything else for you on a constant basis. But I'm
- 39:11Speaker 4: not here to defend that. I'm just saying dominion.chat. The
- 39:16Speaker 4: problem with all the other chat models is that none
- 39:18Speaker 4: of them are trained on Jesus. None of them are
- 39:21Speaker 4: trained on absolute truth. None of them are trained on
- 39:24Speaker 4: eternal truth. And dominion.chat is. And we will give you
- 39:27Speaker 4: a year's worth of usefulness. of it just for you
- 39:31Speaker 4: to compare it. If you use chat GPT, go get
- 39:33Speaker 4: the free year's worth of dominion and see for yourself
- 39:35Speaker 4: the difference it may ask it hard questions, ask it
- 39:38Speaker 4: the most difficult questions you can come up with a
- 39:40Speaker 4: spiritual question and see what it says. I think you'll
- 39:43Speaker 4: be pleasantly surprised. Anyway, grateful for them. We're going to
- 39:47Speaker 4: have those guys back soon because AI is such an
- 39:50Speaker 4: in-demand story. I also want to say thank you to
- 39:53Speaker 4: Tony Bode and the guys at Mock Funding, our newest
- 39:58Speaker 4: partner on Money Monday, and all the ways that they
- 40:01Speaker 4: are making business solutions happen for people. They are such
- 40:05Speaker 4: high integrity and they are such good people.
- 40:07Speaker 8: 888-462-9442.
- 40:12Speaker 7: 888-462-9442.
- 40:13Speaker 4: If you would like to talk confidentially with people that
- 40:18Speaker 4: really understand how to help your business grow, talk to
- 40:22Speaker 4: Tony and the team. That's what they specialize in.
- 40:26Speaker 8: 888-462-9442. 888-462-9442.
- 40:26Speaker 7: David Fisher, landmarkgold.com.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Hilary Kramer, Appreciate all the contributors to Money Monday and
- 40:38Speaker 4: appreciate you, friend, for being here with us. Calvin McCullough,
- 40:41Speaker 4: we'll see you next time.
- 40:42Speaker 9: 10, 3, 2, 1.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Somewhere in the bowels of the city that never sleeps.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough, radio host with Salem Media. Is a man
- 40:59Speaker 1: also not sleeping.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Syndicated radio talk show host, Kevin McCullough.
- 41:03Speaker 7: And that guy would like a word with you.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Many of you know him, Gomez Lutz-Gradamas.
- 41:09Speaker 7: Of course that.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Kevin show is going to be great.
- 41:11Speaker 7: The only thing that could be greater, of course.
- 41:12Speaker 8: Would be that Donald show.
- 41:13Speaker 1: But we don't have that, so we have that Kevin show.
- 41:16Speaker 5: Featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream in
- 41:20Speaker 5: Color Orchestra. Straight ahead, everything you need to know about
- 41:34Speaker 5: the top headlines of the day and a perspective that
- 41:37Speaker 5: will give you some eternity to it, plus practical tips
- 41:41Speaker 5: for family life, spiritual life, and good.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Old regular life. It's Kevin McCullough, Monday through Friday, on
- 41:50Speaker 1: That Kevin Show!
- 41:51Speaker 8: That Kevin Show!
- 41:58Speaker 5: And now, from the Connors & Sullivan Broadcast Studios, the
- 42:02Speaker 5: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 42:05Speaker 5: is way grateful that he's not who he used to.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Be, here's The Devil!
- 42:13Speaker 4: All right, welcome back.
- 42:14Speaker 10: It's hour number two.
- 42:15Speaker 4: We've got a lot to still discuss today. And in
- 42:18Speaker 4: this hour, Dr. Gina Loudon will be with me, also
- 42:21Speaker 4: Bethany Mandel. Todd Nettleton will be here from Voice of
- 42:24Speaker 4: the Martyrs. to talk about a different type of persecution
- 42:27Speaker 4: that's going on. But I'm really concerned about what I
- 42:31Speaker 4: see happening right in the city that I broadcast from.
- 42:34Speaker 1: And I'm not the only one.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Elie Wiesel was deeply loved by the Jewish people before
- 42:41Speaker 4: her death, and her son, Elisha Wiesel, maintains the work
- 42:46Speaker 4: at her foundation. And These were some of his observations
- 42:52Speaker 4: on Mayor Zoran Mamdani's recent public statements and actions.
- 43:00Speaker 13: I remember 9-11, the candlelight vigils, the sense of a
- 43:05Speaker 13: community coming together.
- 43:06Speaker 7: I remember during COVID-19.
- 43:08Speaker 13: Wringing the pots and pans on behalf of the emergency
- 43:11Speaker 13: workers who were so brave. I remember even after George Floyd,
- 43:14Speaker 13: so many people going out to support the black community
- 43:18Speaker 13: in their moment of crisis. When it comes to us, though,
- 43:21Speaker 13: what I remember is October 8th. I remember that feeling
- 43:25Speaker 13: of the next morning, having had my world shocked at
- 43:28Speaker 13: the barbarity that we saw take place in Israel at
- 43:30Speaker 13: the hands of Hamas, walking on October 8th, really not
- 43:34Speaker 13: too far from here in Times Square, And already seeing
- 43:37Speaker 13: that angry mob that you just saw on the screen
- 43:40Speaker 13: chanting that, you know, Israel is guilty of this. Israel
- 43:43Speaker 13: deserved it by any means necessary. You know, violence is appropriate.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I don't know what happened.
- 43:50Speaker 4: How did we get so much hatred?
- 43:52Speaker 13: I wish I had all the answers, but it is
- 43:54Speaker 13: absolutely terrifying to me as.
- 43:55Speaker 7: A Jew in this country.
- 43:56Speaker 4: As a Jew in this country, it is terrifying to him.
- 43:59Speaker 4: And friends, I don't blame him. And I'm really burdened.
- 44:03Speaker 4: I'm really burdened by what I'm seeing today. in the
- 44:07Speaker 4: Senate race in Michigan, where you have Barack Obama, who
- 44:16Speaker 4: would play the bona fides of his African-American-ness when necessary
- 44:23Speaker 4: in public. I mean, knowing he came from a split line,
- 44:30Speaker 4: his mom was white, his dad was black. But he
- 44:35Speaker 4: would play to the African-American nature, the Kenyan part of him,
- 44:41Speaker 4: publicly for all that it was worth. And now he's
- 44:45Speaker 4: just endorsed Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, who said that Americans
- 44:53Speaker 4: deserved 9-11. He just endorsed Abdul El-Sayed, who said that
- 45:00Speaker 4: Jewish people deserved October 7th. He is someone who does
- 45:05Speaker 4: not just hold Islamic views of the world, but he
- 45:10Speaker 4: is supportive of the most radical groups that advance those
- 45:14Speaker 4: views in the world. He's received massive campaign funds from
- 45:19Speaker 4: the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a terrorist organization. He refuses
- 45:25Speaker 4: to condemn Hamas for their activities on October 7th. He
- 45:31Speaker 4: refuses to condemn Iran's activities prior to now and now.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Even when they fire on their Arab neighbors, he can't
- 45:43Speaker 4: bring himself to say that they are doing something wrong.
- 45:47Speaker 4: There is a concept in the Muslim faith called Takiyah,
- 45:51Speaker 4: and it's real. It is the doctrine where when you
- 45:56Speaker 4: are assimilating into a region, The Quran instructs you to
- 46:03Speaker 4: play nice and get along. And if you have to
- 46:08Speaker 4: even lie about what Islam actually teaches, about what Islamic
- 46:15Speaker 4: practitioners actually believe, there is an instruction to do that
- 46:24Speaker 4: and to maintain that posture until Islam becomes the dominant view.
- 46:30Speaker 7: Of the culture.
- 46:32Speaker 4: And then at that point, you no longer practice Takiyah.
- 46:35Speaker 4: You just practice what the clerics tell you to practice
- 46:38Speaker 4: at that point. It is permission to be dishonest. It
- 46:44Speaker 4: is permission to hide one's actual beliefs. And I have
- 46:48Speaker 4: to tell you that in watching Mayor Mamdani over the
- 46:51Speaker 4: last couple of years, in watching Abdul El-Sayed campaign for
- 46:56Speaker 4: the Senate seat in Michigan in I don't think that
- 47:00Speaker 4: they're trying to hide very much anymore. I think when
- 47:03Speaker 4: you can't condemn terrorism that seeks to extinguish its opponents,
- 47:09Speaker 4: how can you ask a free people, a God-fearing people,
- 47:14Speaker 4: to support you and give you the trust of public leadership?
- 47:19Speaker 4: As far as I'm concerned... All of the issues in
- 47:23Speaker 4: the campaign are important, and you can make a biblical
- 47:26Speaker 4: argument for lower taxes. You can make a very biblical
- 47:29Speaker 4: argument for controlled immigration, not unlimited illegal immigration. God believed
- 47:37Speaker 4: in borders. God believed in instructions and order and rules.
- 47:43Speaker 4: He gave us the benefit of some of those things
- 47:46Speaker 4: for our flourishing so that we would do life to
- 47:49Speaker 4: the best of its ability, not to the worst. Having
- 47:52Speaker 4: said all that, I'm embarrassed at James Tallarico in Texas
- 47:58Speaker 4: claiming that Jesus would take his position on issues of
- 48:05Speaker 4: Medicare and immigration and national security. Friends, the side that
- 48:11Speaker 4: opposes the God of the Bible is not hiding its
- 48:17Speaker 4: beliefs in this campaign. the side that opposes the God
- 48:22Speaker 4: of the Bible is bearing its fangs. It is under
- 48:26Speaker 4: the belief that it doesn't need to hide what it
- 48:31Speaker 4: believes anymore. That the number of people that can be
- 48:35Speaker 4: fooled and tricked and manipulated are so many that evil
- 48:44Speaker 4: can literally call evil good And they think that everyone
- 48:48Speaker 4: will buy it. And maybe they're right. Maybe we are
- 48:52Speaker 4: on the verge of losing our nation. But I hope not.
- 48:56Speaker 4: If you're in Michigan and you're listening to me today, friends,
- 49:00Speaker 4: you need to vote. And the job of the general election,
- 49:03Speaker 4: which is different than the primary, the primary election is
- 49:06Speaker 4: where you vote for purity and you vote for the
- 49:08Speaker 4: one that most closely aligns to what you deeply want
- 49:12Speaker 4: in every area of policy. The general election, when the
- 49:16Speaker 4: two parties have submitted their nominees. you vote entirely based
- 49:22Speaker 4: on one thing. Which one will stop the most evil
- 49:26Speaker 4: from advancing? You may not believe in everything that Mike
- 49:31Speaker 4: Rogers stands for, or maybe you do. I don't know
- 49:35Speaker 4: his record intimately well, but I like a lot of
- 49:38Speaker 4: the things that he's stood up for. But this is
- 49:41Speaker 4: one of those elections I don't even need to know
- 49:43Speaker 4: Mike Rogers' stance on anything except this. Will he condemn terrorism?
- 49:51Speaker 4: Will he say terrorism has no place in American life?
- 49:56Speaker 4: Abdul Syed won't do that, Michiganders. And you need to
- 50:02Speaker 4: be aware. And Texans... James Tallarico is the devil himself
- 50:10Speaker 4: parading around as a servant of the Most High. Tallarico
- 50:14Speaker 4: is not a Christian. He is not biblical. And his
- 50:20Speaker 4: life does not produce the fruit of someone who is
- 50:23Speaker 4: a follower of Jesus. I'm praying for you. We've got
- 50:27Speaker 4: elections all across the country. I'm praying for those of
- 50:31Speaker 4: you in those states where these races really matter. Please
- 50:34Speaker 4: consider voting. Make it a priority.
- 50:36Speaker 7: Do your best.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough coming right back.
- 50:58Speaker 9: Here he is from New York, That Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 51:04Speaker 4: Welcome back. It's the Friday edition, Kevin McCullough, That Kevin Show, ThatKevinShow.com.
- 51:10Speaker 7: Very glad to have you with us.
- 51:12Speaker 4: And someone that I'm always glad to check in with
- 51:14Speaker 4: on Fridays is Dr.
- 51:15Speaker 7: Gina Loudon.
- 51:15Speaker 4: She is one of the three co-hosts of Real America's
- 51:20Speaker 4: Voice Network. American Morning, and she wakes people up every day.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Are you still doing the Bible verse on a regular basis, Gina?
- 51:29Speaker 7: Do you start the day with a verse?
- 51:30Speaker 8: Absolutely.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Yeah, every day we pray before the show together, the
- 51:35Speaker 3: two hosts, David Brody and Terrence Bates and me. And
- 51:39Speaker 3: then we do a Bible verse every single show. And
- 51:43Speaker 3: we do a whole faith segment every single show. Those
- 51:47Speaker 3: are two of the cornerstones of our show. And I'm
- 51:49Speaker 3: pretty pleased with that because it was something that most
- 51:52Speaker 3: morning shows don't do, won't do. And it was something
- 51:55Speaker 3: that I pushed pretty hard to make happen. happens so
- 51:58Speaker 3: i'm yeah i'm pleased and thankful that we get to.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Do that the several times i've been on i remembered
- 52:03Speaker 4: that that always occurred and um i thought i'd ask
- 52:06Speaker 4: you about it so guys listen if you're if you're
- 52:09Speaker 4: needing a little word of encouragement dr gina in the
- 52:11Speaker 4: morning is really a good alternative so check that out
- 52:15Speaker 4: rev uh you have to get it on a streamer
- 52:17Speaker 4: uh in most places but they're they're practically everywhere if
- 52:20Speaker 4: you've got um if you've got roku or apple tv
- 52:23Speaker 4: And smart TVs.
- 52:24Speaker 11: Yeah, smart TV.
- 52:25Speaker 3: We're on it. We're on, I think, all the different
- 52:29Speaker 3: new TVs.
- 52:31Speaker 4: It's called OTT as opposed to OTA. But, you know,
- 52:36Speaker 4: who knows what it is?
- 52:36Speaker 1: Who knows what even.
- 52:38Speaker 7: It means now?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:40Speaker 4: Hey, congratulations for another reason. You had a new book
- 52:43Speaker 4: come out this week, and I want you to brag
- 52:46Speaker 4: all about it.
- 52:46Speaker 8: Oh, thank you, Kevin.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Well, I do want to thank you and your audience.
- 52:50Speaker 3: We made it to top 20. in our category of
- 52:56Speaker 3: Christian children's books on Amazon last night, and we're very
- 53:00Speaker 3: excited about that. And so the book is, it's special, Kevin.
- 53:06Speaker 3: It was my children who really woke me up to
- 53:11Speaker 3: sort of the platform that I could be using for
- 53:13Speaker 3: better purposes. I love when that happens, when you go,
- 53:16Speaker 3: oh yeah, I guess I could do that. They were like,
- 53:18Speaker 3: you know, mom, you read us books like Good Night Moon, Jamberry,
- 53:22Speaker 3: Where the Wild Things Are. And they're like, we know
- 53:25Speaker 3: every single word of those. But we don't know the
- 53:27Speaker 3: books of the Bible in order by memory. We don't
- 53:30Speaker 3: know the days of creation in order by memory. We
- 53:32Speaker 3: don't know the Ten Commandments in order by memory. And
- 53:36Speaker 3: I'm thinking, oh, wow, mom fail. And I homeschooled Kevin,
- 53:38Speaker 3: so there's no excuse for me. I mean, I did
- 53:40Speaker 3: go over all that with them, but they don't know
- 53:42Speaker 3: them by heart.
- 53:43Speaker 10: So we came up.
- 53:44Speaker 3: With a series called The Bible by Heart. The first
- 53:47Speaker 3: in our series was the days of creation. And the
- 53:49Speaker 3: second one, which we just launched day before yesterday. is
- 53:52Speaker 3: the 10 commandments by heart. So it does, it's a
- 53:55Speaker 3: mnemonic device. I use my psychological background to inform the
- 54:00Speaker 3: memory components in this book so that children can memorize
- 54:03Speaker 3: them and always have them in their minds. And so,
- 54:07Speaker 3: you know, and it's biblical, train them up in the
- 54:10Speaker 3: way they should go when they're old, they will not
- 54:11Speaker 3: depart from it.
- 54:12Speaker 8: That is, those are God's words.
- 54:13Speaker 3: And so that's what.
- 54:14Speaker 8: We tried to do.
- 54:15Speaker 3: I co-wrote the book with Dr. James Mosley from Liberty University.
- 54:18Speaker 8: Right.
- 54:19Speaker 3: And he's amazing. We call him the Bible history guy
- 54:22Speaker 3: on our show. And then we had, and this is
- 54:27Speaker 3: one of my favorite parts of it, Mike Sofka did
- 54:30Speaker 3: the illustrations. He is the animator that you know his work.
- 54:34Speaker 3: He did VeggieTales. And so he did our illustrations. And
- 54:39Speaker 3: so it's been a fun project that we've done with
- 54:42Speaker 3: Simon & Schuster's Christian division, Beyond Words. And, um, it's
- 54:45Speaker 3: just been a huge honor to work with them.
- 54:47Speaker 10: They've been great.
- 54:48Speaker 3: And like I said, the book made top 20 last night.
- 54:50Speaker 3: So we're very excited about that.
- 54:52Speaker 7: Well, you're still in there. I just pulled it up.
- 54:54Speaker 4: Uh, so friends, if you're interested in this, obviously Amazon
- 54:58Speaker 4: has it. It's the 10 commandments by heart. That's the
- 55:01Speaker 4: name of it. And it's easy to find right there
- 55:04Speaker 4: on the Amazon. And of course, uh, I think Dr.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Gina has it linked at her Twitter feed and a
- 55:09Speaker 4: bunch of other places. So go and check that out. But, um, Gina,
- 55:12Speaker 4: I want to talk to you about this idea because
- 55:15Speaker 4: my opening monologue on the show today, we had a
- 55:19Speaker 4: very tragic shooting in New York City yesterday. An immigrant
- 55:23Speaker 4: who is a multiple-time criminal has raged all kinds of
- 55:29Speaker 4: terror and horror on the city of New York in
- 55:32Speaker 4: the time that he's been here. would not go into custody,
- 55:35Speaker 4: ended up getting shot. He was taken to the hospital.
- 55:38Speaker 7: He was treated.
- 55:39Speaker 4: He was in good enough shape that they were able
- 55:41Speaker 4: to release him. And ICE is off sending him back
- 55:45Speaker 4: to where he came from. And Mamdani and Hochul get
- 55:49Speaker 4: on local and statewide TV today, and they demand that
- 55:54Speaker 4: President Trump end ICE operations. They demand that this, what
- 55:59Speaker 4: they call terrorism, stop. They demand all these things. And
- 56:04Speaker 4: my observation is that there's a much bigger general principle
- 56:09Speaker 4: at work here. People are disobeying law enforcement and end
- 56:14Speaker 4: up in these situations because they don't obey the law.
- 56:18Speaker 4: And one of the things that I learned when I
- 56:20Speaker 4: was really little was that I'm supposed to obey God-placed
- 56:24Speaker 4: authority over me. And even if the authority is wrong,
- 56:29Speaker 4: There are recourses. What I've taught my children is if
- 56:32Speaker 4: a police officer asks you questions, you cooperate. You have
- 56:36Speaker 4: a good attitude about it. You say yes, sir, and
- 56:39Speaker 4: thank you, sir, and everything else when you're being interacted with.
- 56:42Speaker 4: And the reason why you do that is because if
- 56:44Speaker 4: there is something that they do that is bothersome or
- 56:47Speaker 4: in some way illegitimate or wrong, we have recourses to
- 56:50Speaker 4: deal with that. But there is no recourse to come
- 56:53Speaker 4: back from being shot over chaos and confusion. And what
- 56:57Speaker 4: the mayor and what the governor are doing are sowing
- 57:00Speaker 4: deeper seeds of confusion. And by saying the president's the problem,
- 57:05Speaker 4: the law is the problem, the enforcement of the law
- 57:07Speaker 4: is the problem. They're condemning an entire state, an entire
- 57:11Speaker 4: city to, well, what do I do? When do I
- 57:14Speaker 4: obey the law? When is the law something that I'm
- 57:16Speaker 4: supposed to follow? And when is it something I'm not
- 57:17Speaker 4: supposed to? Because the state and the city people say,
- 57:19Speaker 4: I don't have to follow it. but the president says
- 57:21Speaker 4: I do. You see what I'm saying? And this gets
- 57:24Speaker 4: down to the 10 commandments, the simple idea that God-given
- 57:27Speaker 4: authority is worth obeying.
- 57:29Speaker 7: Your thoughts.
- 57:30Speaker 3: This is the Islamification of our country that is happening
- 57:33Speaker 3: right now all over. If you want to see what
- 57:36Speaker 3: New York is going to look like under this continued leadership,
- 57:39Speaker 3: you don't have to go any further than Dearborn, Michigan. Farther,
- 57:42Speaker 3: I guess, than Dearborn, Michigan. You know, my co-host, David Brody,
- 57:47Speaker 3: spent the week there, a large part of the week there.
- 57:50Speaker 3: And the pictures that he came away with. The and
- 57:54Speaker 3: when you really look at what they're doing now, not
- 57:59Speaker 3: just living off of welfare in many cases, breeding lots
- 58:02Speaker 3: and lots of children. But you look at these mosques
- 58:06Speaker 3: and how they're demanding to come in everywhere and then
- 58:09Speaker 3: they'll have like eight members to a mosque.
- 58:12Speaker 14: Why is that?
- 58:13Speaker 3: I mean, just think about that for a minute. On
- 58:16Speaker 3: its face, that's deceptive, right? Why would you build a
- 58:19Speaker 3: whole mosque for eight members? Just start asking yourself these questions.
- 58:23Speaker 3: And when you look at how many mosques have been
- 58:25Speaker 3: built in red states now, like Texas, like Florida and
- 58:29Speaker 3: other places, we better just wake up to what's happening
- 58:33Speaker 3: or we're all going to look like Dearborn, Michigan, which
- 58:36Speaker 3: if you haven't been there, I highly encourage you to
- 58:38Speaker 3: hire a security team, put on your bulletproof vest and
- 58:40Speaker 3: helmet and go. But it is dangerous. I can tell
- 58:45Speaker 3: you that my colleague, David Brody, you should interview him, Kevin,
- 58:47Speaker 3: because he was just there. And the stories he told
- 58:50Speaker 3: and the things he saw were things that are not America.
- 58:54Speaker 3: It's less America than some Middle Eastern countries that I visited.
- 59:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 4: Well, yesterday you also had Ilhan Omar talking about how
- 59:04Speaker 4: Somalis are actually Americans and they're not going anywhere. And
- 59:07Speaker 4: then on this very same night, you have Somali gangs
- 59:10Speaker 4: shooting each other in huge gun battles in some of
- 59:14Speaker 4: their neighborhoods. And I'm like, there's something deeply disturbing and
- 59:19Speaker 4: afoot that is way, way off where it needs to be.
- 59:23Speaker 4: And we're allowing them to get away with it. El-Sayed
- 59:27Speaker 4: was in a debate last night. He was asked directly–
- 59:30Speaker 4: Why can't you condemn the actions of 10-7 and 9-11?
- 59:35Speaker 4: And instead of answering the question, he turns his back
- 59:38Speaker 4: to the reporter and eventually walks away. This is like,
- 59:43Speaker 4: if I can't answer it, I'm just not going to
- 59:45Speaker 4: respond at all. And then at the end of the day...
- 59:49Speaker 4: You know, they're going to say, well, you know, the
- 59:51Speaker 4: evil Mike Rogers, the evil Republicans, the evil, all these
- 59:54Speaker 4: other things.
- 59:55Speaker 7: Well, since did.
- 59:57Speaker 4: Mike Rogers participate in terror activities? Does he support people
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: going and killing other people simply over the differences that
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: they hold? I mean, this is this is where this
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: is really gotten out of control. And that's why I'm
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: saying to people, you are required to go vote. If
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: you're if you're someone who loves this country or wants
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: a future for your children, this election really does matter.
- 1:00:16Speaker 14: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: And I think we have to bear in mind, if
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: you haven't read the Quran, read it.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: And we have to bear in mind that.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: There are laws.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: In their religious texts that say they can lie to
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: protect Islam, to protect Allah.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: We've talked about the.
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: The, I'm sure you.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Have in, in detail and it's a real thing. People
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: get mad that you.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Bring it up.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: It's a real thing, but try Googling it because they'll
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: say it's not there.
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: It doesn't exist.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Um, that lying is an absolute sin in Islam. I mean,
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: you really have to look at what's really happening with
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: your eyes wide open and don't let other people tell
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: you what you're seeing.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Because we are in a day and age where the
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: lies are prolific, the propaganda campaigns are insane, and not
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: just from one foreign country, from many foreign countries.
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: And it's high.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Time to take a real look and a real listen
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: and to be honest with ourselves and to have this
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: public conversation because it needs to happen before 2028 when
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: we elect a president.
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: Well said. Dr.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: Gina, get her new book called The Ten Commandments by Heart.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: You can't miss it.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: It's on Amazon.
- 1:01:21Speaker 14: It's only $ 12.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: It's only $.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: 12 on Amazon?
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and it makes, because we wanted to put, and
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: the proceeds go to our foundation, which helps families adopt
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: children with special needs. So we would love to sell
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: a lot of them for Christmas.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: All right, Gina, thank you. We'll talk to you next week.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough coming right back.
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: Stick around for more of That Kevin. From New York,
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: that Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: Welcome back to Times Square. It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: for all things related.
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: And I am very.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Honored to have back at the microphone someone who was
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: with us on the radio side just two weeks ago
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: at the Sing Conference in Nashville. We didn't even know
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: we were going to be having this conversation at the time. Like, honestly,
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: neither one of us knew we were going to do it.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: But Todd Nettleton is the host of Voice of the
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Martyrs Radio. Heard on lots of the same stations that
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: you hear this show on and want to just point
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: out that Voice of the Martyrs is advocating for the
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: welfare of Christians who are being persecuted all over the
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: planet and in some pretty horrendous ways. But he has
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: a special offer for you.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: He's written a book.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Called When Faith is Forbidden, and I want to ask
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: him a little bit about that and how you can
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: get a copy of it for free. Todd, it's good
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: to see you. Thanks for coming back.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Hey, you're very welcome.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: I'm glad my introduction didn't spurn you for permanent.
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: Didn't scare me off.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Good, that's good. We talked and had a very good
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: conversation at Sing about the difficulty that the church faces
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: in a lot of places around the globe.
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: Just a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: I'm guessing in the two weeks since you and I
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: sat down, it hasn't gotten any better.
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: No, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be getting better. And really,
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: as Christians, that shouldn't surprise us. You know, Jesus promised persecution.
- 1:03:24Speaker 12: He said, the world hates me. If you follow me,
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: the world will hate you, too. Not not a good
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: marketing slogan, but it is true. And we're seeing that
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: around the world in more than 70 countries. Being persecuted
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: is just a regular part of following Jesus Christ.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: It does happen to be also the case in a
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: lot of places where the persecution is the most robust part.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: is also the place where the church is growing the most.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Can you explain how that's happening?
- 1:03:53Speaker 12: You know, I think ultimately that's the power of the
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: Holy Spirit.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: But it is true.
- 1:03:58Speaker 12: Where we see persecution, we see the church growing. And
- 1:04:02Speaker 12: one of the ways that that happens, very frankly, is
- 1:04:04Speaker 12: the response of Christians to persecution. When we follow the
- 1:04:10Speaker 12: scriptural mandate to love our enemies, to pray for those
- 1:04:13Speaker 12: who persecute us, that is an incredible witness of the
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: truth of the gospel. When you are beating someone and
- 1:04:20Speaker 12: they are forgiving you and loving you, from a human perspective,
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: that doesn't make sense.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: It really doesn't even compute.
- 1:04:28Speaker 12: It only makes sense if the gospel is true, if
- 1:04:30Speaker 12: Jesus is real. And so one of the ways the
- 1:04:33Speaker 12: church is growing is because of the response of our
- 1:04:36Speaker 12: brothers and sisters today. to the attacks, to the persecution
- 1:04:39Speaker 12: that they face.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: Well, and it's one of those things where nobody would
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: believe it if you just said it on a normal,
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: like I get email from cynics all the time who
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: are like, I can't believe that you actually believe the
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: things that you believe. But when you come into face-to-face
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: contact with faith that is that stout, that is that sturdy,
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: that is that inspiring for the human to withstand what
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: they are going through, But there's also those that write, Todd,
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: and say, but the church really isn't being persecuted. For
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: people that have that kind of hard-to-convince mentality, what are
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: some of the things that Christians are experiencing around the
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: world right now as we speak?
- 1:05:19Speaker 12: You know, if I would hear someone say, you know,
- 1:05:22Speaker 12: the church isn't really being persecuted, one of the first
- 1:05:25Speaker 12: thoughts that comes to my mind is the faces of
- 1:05:28Speaker 12: seven pastors in Eritrea, all of whom have been in
- 1:05:32Speaker 12: prison more than 21 years.
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 1:05:34Speaker 12: All of whom have been separated from their families. In fact,
- 1:05:36Speaker 12: some of them have had their spouses die while they've
- 1:05:39Speaker 12: been in prison the last 21 years. And so I
- 1:05:42Speaker 12: think of Chinese pastors in prison right now. We know
- 1:05:46Speaker 12: there are more than 200 Chinese church leaders who are
- 1:05:50Speaker 12: imprisoned in China. I think of the church in Iran
- 1:05:53Speaker 12: that is active and growing, but also facing intense persecution there.
- 1:05:58Speaker 12: So as someone who thinks that the church isn't really
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: being persecuted, they are not paying attention.
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Well, you have written a book that details much of
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: this called When Faith is Forbidden. And I want to
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: I want to give you a chance to tell us
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: what it's about and kind of why you were called
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: to write this book.
- 1:06:17Speaker 12: I appreciate the use of the word calling because I
- 1:06:20Speaker 12: think that that really is what it is. For the
- 1:06:23Speaker 12: last 28 years, I've worked at Voice of the Martyrs
- 1:06:25Speaker 12: and I've traveled around the world to meet face to
- 1:06:28Speaker 12: face with Christians who have been persecuted. And I get
- 1:06:31Speaker 12: the sort of holy privilege of sitting down with them
- 1:06:34Speaker 12: and just asking them questions. Hey, you know, tell me
- 1:06:36Speaker 12: about the prison. Tell me, tell me if you thought
- 1:06:39Speaker 12: about denying your faith and going free. And inevitably what
- 1:06:43Speaker 12: would happen if I would come back from a trip
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: and I would be in my Bible study group or
- 1:06:47Speaker 12: in my Sunday school class, and I would share one
- 1:06:49Speaker 12: of those stories and somebody would say, man, I wish
- 1:06:53Speaker 12: I could go on a trip with you. And so that's,
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: That's really why I wrote the book is it's an
- 1:06:58Speaker 12: invitation to you. Hey, come on a trip with me.
- 1:07:01Speaker 12: I want you to come along. We're going to take
- 1:07:03Speaker 12: 40 days every day. We're going to meet a persecuted Christian.
- 1:07:06Speaker 12: We're going to hear their story. And I believe, in fact,
- 1:07:10Speaker 12: it's almost a guarantee on day 41, your faith will
- 1:07:14Speaker 12: look different. because there's no way you can hang out
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: with these kind of people. You can hear their stories
- 1:07:19Speaker 12: of boldness and faithfulness in spite of prison, in spite
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: of having family members killed, in spite of being beaten.
- 1:07:26Speaker 12: There's no way you can spend 40 days with those
- 1:07:29Speaker 12: kind of followers of Jesus Christ and not want to
- 1:07:32Speaker 12: follow Him more boldly and more passionately in your own life.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: I know that many of you that listen that are
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: not followers of Jesus are unconvinced, but I just want
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: to I would even ask you, get a copy of
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: Todd's book and see for yourself if there is not
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: something inspiring about the fact that these people will cling
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: to Christ when so many other things are dangled in
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: front of them in terms of what you could call
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: fairly temptation, even though it's just a relief from the
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: persecution that they're being put up against. Anyway, Todd Nettleton
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: doing a great job. VOM Radio is where you hear
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: him and you can hear more of those stories on
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: stations that many of the same stations that take This
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: broadcast also aired Todd's show. And, again, if you want
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: the book, you've got to go to vom.org slash Kevin,
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: vom.org slash Kevin. And it's super simple. Right at the
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: top of the page, there's a little form. Just put
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: that in. It shouldn't take 30 seconds to fill it out.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: And then a copy of the book is on its
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: way to you. Todd, keep fighting the good fight. Thank
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: you for being with us.
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: You're welcome.
- 1:08:36Speaker 12: Thanks for having me.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough coming right back. It's That Kevin Show.
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: Don't go away.
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: From.
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: New York.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: That Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: All right, welcome back. Kevin McCullough, always glad to have
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: you with us.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: It is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com for all things related.
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: If you miss any of it, get the podcast. It's
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: right there for free. We never put anything behind a paywall.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: Bethany Mandel joins us often on these Friday visits. And Bethany,
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: I thought of you this week because unlike some people that.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: 10-7 is just another day on their calendar in our country.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: I actually hold a commemoration, not an anniversary, not a celebration,
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: but I do an observance of October 7 because I
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: feel like for especially my Jewish friends, it is every
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: bit as potent as 9-11, but more so by multiple factors.
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: And I see things like Mayor Mamdani saying, demand, you know,
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: in his first three sentences of his statement that, you know,
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: he says it's a terrible thing and then spends the
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: rest of his 17 paragraphs chiding the U.S. and Israel
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: for what they've done in Gaza. No genocide in Gaza,
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: by the way. We've reported those facts in the last
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: couple of weeks. But this is something that is spreading
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: like wildfire. Abdul Al-Sayed in the Michigan debate last night
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: for Senate couldn't even face a reporter who asked him
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: just to answer a question. And Bethany, these candidates are
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: asking for votes of Americans and American Jews in particular
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: in just a few weeks.
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: Your thoughts?
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's, you know, we just marked
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: 25 years after 9-11. And this first October 7th with
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: no hostages in captivity, I think, felt different because it
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: finally felt like it was in the rearview mirror. But
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: What's really, I think, disturbing about this last month of
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: both of those remembrances is that it's not just marked
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: with sadness that this horrible loss of life happened and
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: all these things, but it's also, we're seeing our fellow
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Americans marching through the streets saying, long live Hamas, long
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: live Hezbollah. And it's this ideology that caused October 7th.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: And it also caused the deaths of 3,000 of our
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: countrymen 25 years ago on September 11th. And we saw
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: a lot of family members actually stand up and say
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: in New York, we do not want Mayor Mamdani at
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: the 25th memorial. And it's scary to think that in
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: just 25 years in New York City, there is a
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: mayor who so many family members are so deeply uncomfortable
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: with because they see him as complicit. Um, and that's
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: being generous, you know, in, in, in the ideology that
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: killed their loved one on, on that September morning, not.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Not just on that morning, but the whole mentality of
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: everything moving forward. Like the idea that somehow the, the
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: response to these horrific attacks is, was in some way
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: not justified. And he gets to openly say things like
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: use the word genocide when the Gaza health ministry numbers
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: themselves indicate that aside from war-aged fighting young men, deaths
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: in 2025 barely outpaced deaths in 2022. And that's, you know,
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: your cancers and heart attacks and natural causes and so forth.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: And then birth rates have been over 6000 a month
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: for more than the last year. So they're replacing they
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: had 24000 total deaths in 2025 in all of the
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: Gaza region, Bethany. And I'm saying, how did we get?
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: 24 000 deaths extrapolated into 200 000 deaths which is
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: you know the people just throw out numbers like it's
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: just some sort of like imaginary thing there's no but
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: but the but the gaza health ministry who i don't
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: even know that their numbers are all that good no
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: it's hamas the gaza health ministry they're saying it's it's
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: at best one-tenth of what everybody else has been saying.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Yeah no i mean if israel is committing a genocide
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: they're doing it very poorly And I'm disappointed, honestly, in
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: their efforts. Obviously, they need to step it up. They
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: are so bad at genocide that whenever they bomb a building,
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: they notify the inhabitants inside to clear out. One of
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: the released hostages, Omar Shemtove, wrote a really captivating piece
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: in the Wall Street Journal a couple weeks ago where
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: he talked about the fact that he was being held captive.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: And his captors... Mother got a call to leave the
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: building because the IDF was about to bomb it. And
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: he said, what a sick inversion this is that my
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: army is protecting his mother while he guards me in captivity.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: And that's the situation. And, you know, we have... people
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: in this country who just refuse to understand that there
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: is evil in this world and that they are siding
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: with the side of evil. And I don't, I don't
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: know where we've gone wrong.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: We've also got a, a, a very broad cross sector
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: of pop culture that are stupid individuals that are literally
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: lacking in any form of facts of what's happening. And
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: yet they, They're just out there saying it over and
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: over again. The deceptive edits, the releasing of strong opinion
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: on Twitter has had half the country now believe that
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: he actually invited Iran to bomb two of our cities.
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: I mean, we're dealing with purposefully uninformed people that are
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: purposefully spreading stuff that is absolutely 180 degree opposite of truth.
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't know what you do with that.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: We live in a post-truth society, I guess. But it's
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: become this hip thing. If you look at the polling
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: numbers for everything from capitalism to Israel to America among
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: young people, Our numbers aren't great. We're not we're not
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: doing great. And I put a lot of that blame
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: on the education system. But the radicals have taken over
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: the school system and it seems like we've just let them.
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: Well, it seems like the desire is to undermine everything
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: that's known, postulate all kinds of things that are unknown,
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: and then allow the kind of, you know, stand back
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: and watch the whole thing burn down to the ground.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: So that they can come in after and say, well,
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: we've got the better the better way, the more informed way.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: I mean, that's exactly how Marx did it.
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: I I'm not sure I'm not sure where to go
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: from here. But I think, you know, as as the
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: administration and as people, you know, are looking at teachers
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: colleges and all of those things, we have to think
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: about the fact that, you know, an entire generation is
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: being taught by people who want them to hate America
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: at the end of the day.
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: That's true. All right. Bethany, I always appreciate it. Thank
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: you for checking in with us.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Thank you so much, guys.
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: You got it.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough coming right back.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: Don't go anywhere.
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: Stick around for more of that.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Kevin next. Serving it up with a no drink.
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: It's that Kevin show.
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: All right, final few minutes, and it's time to once
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: again play a round of Kevin, play stuff from X.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Because this time, I don't think I need to do
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: much correction. I just want you to hear what the
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: Senate candidate from the state of Texas, James Tallarico, in
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: his own words, over the last course of the campaign,
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: has said. And turn this up and listen carefully, because he.
- 1:17:23Speaker 7: Says a lot.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: Something that you love that's not family or friends.
- 1:17:27Speaker 14: I love trans children.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: Who's your favorite drag queen in Texas?
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, probably Alyssa Edwards. My name is Alyssa Edwards.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: To perform with Alyssa Edwards is so big to me.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Alyssa Edwards is everything.
- 1:17:42Speaker 14: Modern science obviously recognizes that there are many more than
- 1:17:46Speaker 14: two biological sexes. In fact, there are six. An unwillingness
- 1:17:49Speaker 14: to identify or to acknowledge a child's gender identity.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: We consider that abuse to the child.
- 1:17:57Speaker 14: I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity.
- 1:18:00Speaker 14: Bill's like the one that would force every teacher in
- 1:18:03Speaker 14: Texas to post the Ten Commandments in their classroom. In
- 1:18:07Speaker 14: my view, it is a betrayal of Jesus of Nazareth.
- 1:18:10Speaker 14: God is not a Christian. God is non-violent.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: God loves diversity.
- 1:18:15Speaker 14: You can't love God and abuse the image. Our southern
- 1:18:18Speaker 14: border should be like our front porch. There should be
- 1:18:21Speaker 14: a giant welcome mat out front. We can build a
- 1:18:24Speaker 14: pathway to citizenship. Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me
- 1:18:27Speaker 14: reckon with my own whiteness. The link between climate change
- 1:18:31Speaker 14: and white supremacy and capitalism and the ways that all
- 1:18:33Speaker 14: three of those oppressive systems work together are we going
- 1:18:36Speaker 14: to be able to begin the process of dismantling. It
- 1:18:38Speaker 14: is now existential that we try to reduce our meat
- 1:18:42Speaker 14: consumption too often in politics. I think we think that
- 1:18:44Speaker 14: we have to follow voters.
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: All of my money comes from hard work in Texas.
- 1:18:50Speaker 14: If you are okay with getting taxed.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: More, if you're okay with me limiting your influence.
- 1:18:55Speaker 14: In politics, you are welcome to join this movement that.
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: We are building. All right. He said it all.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: The one that jumps out at me the most, I'm
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: a Christian that hates Christianity. That's an interesting thought. The
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: fact that he even knows the name of a drag queen,
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: much less has a favorite one, is concerning. Maybe the
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: most concerning is his confession that he loves trans children.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: What do you want to do with trans children, James?
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: And every time he invokes anything regarding scripture, he is 1,000% wrong.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: If James Tallarico says it, you can almost take it
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: to the bank, because I have yet to see a
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: statement that is accurate. He said, God is not a Christian. Okay,
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: God created everything. So technically, I get your point. But
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: God sent his son to die on the cross for
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: our sins. So God's Christianity is not what's the issue.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: The perfect God who could keep all of his laws
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: and all of his commandments. And by the way, the
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: giver of laws and commandments and the author of the
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: original 10 laws and commandments, he believes it would be
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: an insult to Jesus of Nazareth to put the 10
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: commandments in a classroom. What is he talking about? Every
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: young Jewish kid in Judaism has to memorize the entire Torah,
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: not just the 10 commandments. Christians are informed by them.
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: We based our entire legal system on them. Why would
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Jesus be offended or why would it break his heart
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: to have the Ten Commandments on the classroom wall? James
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: Tallarico says he is a believer, says that he follows Jesus.
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: He just doesn't follow the Jesus of the Bible, of history,
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: or of what other Christians follow. He follows a made-up
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Jesus that lives in his own head.
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: And nowhere else.
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: And any objective reading of Scripture, which is Jesus' most
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: reliable revelation to us, would point to that fact. Friends,
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: this election's huge. The stakes are huge. Texans, listen carefully.
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: Your choice is huge. Kevin McCullough, we'll see you next time.
