- 0:00So the reason why I say if you're autistic then you will
- 0:02100% do this is because there are certain things that a body
- 0:05responds to that are almost universal in autism, and we're
- 0:08getting into that right now. Autistic brains kind of process
- 0:13sensory input a lot differently, and that means we often notice
- 0:17certain things that other people don't notice or the typical
- 0:20people don't notice, which is really interesting.
- 0:22So in this video, I'm going to show you two things that pretty
- 0:24much every autistic person experiences, and I'm going to do
- 0:26that right now. So if we back up a little bit
- 0:28here, autism changes how we experience certain things or how
- 0:32we experience senses or sensory input from light, touch, sound,
- 0:35smell, movement, all that kind of stuff.
- 0:37Now I'm autistic, I've diagnosed autism and ADHD, and my name is
- 0:40Dan. By the way.

- 0:46down below so you don't miss a video that we're publishing here
- 0:48on this channel. And this can cause unique
- 0:51reactions to neurotypical people.
- 0:53They may never notice certain things like neurotypical people
- 0:56or not, autistic people will walk around and they'll do their
- 0:59daily life and then all of a sudden they don't know if
- 1:01something autistic individuals will walk around and we'll see
- 1:04something and we can identify. But why are those things?
- 1:09This is so interesting and some traits are really common in
- 1:11autistic people and they also feel like it's a shared language
- 1:14that only we can see it. And I did a viral TikTok video
- 1:17on this one of these things and it was so interesting because it
- 1:20took off like wildfire and people were like, wow, this is
- 1:22true. And I kind of joking was like,
- 1:24this is the test if you're artistic or not.
- 1:25If you can see this, then you're artistic.
- 1:26If you can't see it then. So the first one was light
- 1:29flickering. All lights flicker.
- 1:31There's a vibration of lights flicker and cathode tube
- 1:34lighting or strip lighting, you know, this kind of stuff you
- 1:36have in like offices and like malls and things like that.
- 1:38Those strips have a flicker, which is a frame rate, which
- 1:41means that it vibrates. The light vibrates in intervals
- 1:45and typically the light vibrates so fast that we can't see the
- 1:50speed in which it flickers. So it just looks like a constant
- 1:53light. If you put your phone over, over
- 1:55the old TV's, you can see that the lines in the middle of you
- 1:57have done that. And or if you've taken a video
- 1:59on your phone and there's a strobe light, I mean, like, how
- 2:01is this strobe lighting coming? So autistic individuals actually
- 2:05can see that flicker of the light, right?
- 2:07And this is fascinating because I could be somewhere and I'm
- 2:10like, Oh my goodness, can you see this light flickering?
- 2:13And the people are like, freeze. I'm like, dude, it's like a
- 2:16discord. And they're like, no, I can't
- 2:17see it. Like Oh my goodness.
- 2:19And then I found out the more I spoke about this, the more I
- 2:21spoke to other people about it, I found out that the autistic
- 2:24friends I had were like, you know, I can see the light.
- 2:26I'm like, yeah, it's flickering. And then the non autistic people
- 2:28were like, there's no flicker here.
- 2:30What's going on? I'm like.
- 2:31What the? Heck is going on.
- 2:34So that being said, I put a video out saying hey, if you're
- 2:38artistic, you're right to this. And they were like almost, I'd
- 2:41say a good 99% of my audience, I see the light And the people who
- 2:45didn't see it were like, I'm not autistic and I can't see the
- 2:47light. And a lot of people were like,
- 2:48hey, I'm a mom of a kid on the spectrum and he always does this
- 2:50in front of the lights. And I'll explain why they do
- 2:52that in a minute. And I have never seen the light.
- 2:54I can't see a flicker. I just see it's just a constant
- 2:56light. Now, autistic individuals,
- 2:58you'll see them do this a lot when they're faced with light.
- 3:01And the reason they do this or they even take a pen and do this
- 3:05right is because the phase of the light flickering has
- 3:08nibbles. If you think about the light as
- 3:09a wave like this, you've got peaks and troughs, right?
- 3:12So peaks and troughs. And so the peaks and troughs,
- 3:15you're like, it's hitting you and there's intervals and it's
- 3:18really annoying because you're like, oh man, it's not
- 3:19consistent. Solid beam light would be like
- 3:21this. But the peaks and troughs is
- 3:22like this. And so when you flick your hands
- 3:25like this, what you're doing is you're covering up the the peaks
- 3:28and the troughs, making a solid light so that when you're doing
- 3:32this, what you're actually doing is just blocking the light to
- 3:35being solid, right? And so you're outer phasing or
- 3:39counter phasing that flicker. So that's just a solid beam of
- 3:42light. And that is so interesting.
- 3:45It's fascinating. And so people will say it's the
- 3:47stemming. And so we get used to this and
- 3:49it becomes like something that's common and repetitive, we'll
- 3:51just do every now and then, but that's where it's fall.
- 3:53We're trying to normalize the light.
- 3:55So it's a solid beam of light. Guys, if you are interested in
- 3:58knowing how I became confident and got that BDE energy, then
- 4:02make sure you download my free autism Building a Bulletproof
- 4:06Brain Starter kit. You can go to
- 4:08bulletproofbrain.org right now. Click the card here, link in the
- 4:12description or in the bio, or you can just go to
- 4:15bulletproofbrain.org. Make sure you put www.beforeit
- 4:18and download the free checklist starter kit right now.
- 4:21I promise you, you're going to be.
- 4:23Amazed. Now the other thing I said those
- 4:24two things I was saying people do not number one, light
- 4:27flickering 100%. We almost all of us can see.
- 4:31If you don't see the light flicking, you have to drop me a
- 4:32comment down below. The second thing that autistic
- 4:34individuals do is restless like syndrome.
- 4:38So people, people who like just have their leg and they're like
- 4:40constantly just shaking their leg.
- 4:42And you see this alternative people just shaking their leg
- 4:44and you can sit on a bench and the whole bench is shaking
- 4:46because the person is shaking their leg, right?
- 4:47And this is called restless like syndrome.
- 4:49Now it's a form of stemming or self stimulatory behavior.
- 4:54Also stemming stands for and self stimulatory behavior is
- 4:57basically a way of you to self regulate, which means the way
- 5:01for you to do something that you can feel calm by doing something
- 5:05repetitive. Some people like rock to sleep
- 5:07or rub your toes together or whatever because those things
- 5:11it's like a repetitive movement. Rock a baby to sleep, it's like
- 5:14repetitive and the baby feels comfortable.
- 5:15So it's the same type of thing, we are feeling overwhelmed or,
- 5:18or or distant in reality. So we do that thing to make us
- 5:21feel comfortable and the repetitiveness of it makes us
- 5:23feel comfortable. Now this restless leg syndrome
- 5:26and the light flicker, it's either one or the other.
- 5:29Now you have to drop in a comet. Is it light flicker or is it
- 5:31restless leg syndrome? Or do you have both?
- 5:33Because you can't have both. I'm not saying that you don't
- 5:35have one or the other. I'm saying that you can't have
- 5:37both. But I'm pretty sure you will
- 5:39have either one or both of these.
- 5:41Now drop in a comment down below.
- 5:42I read every single one. Guys, I wasn't always this
- 5:44confident and I definitely wasn't always this able.
- 5:47I't able to hold down having a full time self-employed job.
- 5:50I have children and a relationship across the
- 5:53Atlantic. How did I do this?
- 5:54I teach you all of this in Coping Secrets which is my entry
- 5:58level program that everyone can get.
- 5:59You can get it right now for $27.00.
- 6:01The link is in the description or you can just go to
