Jeffrey Epstein’s Fellow Inmate Says He Believes Epstein Killed Himself (9/15/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Ever since Jeffrey Epstein died, we've heard from many,
• 0:07
Speaker 1: many different people about what they think occurred inside of
• 0:10
Speaker 1: that jail cell. And one of the people that we've
• 0:13
Speaker 1: heard from is a man named Bill Mercy. And Bill
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Mercy is one of the inmates whose job it was
• 0:19
Speaker 1: as basically like an orderly to sit with high-risk inmates
• 0:23
Speaker 1: and watch them and observe them while they were in
• 0:26
Speaker 1: their jail cell. And this man spent about 20 hours
• 0:29
Speaker 1: or so observing Jeffrey Epstein and talking to him. And
• 0:33
Speaker 1: according to Mr. Mercy, he doesn't believe that Jeffrey Epstein
• 0:36
Speaker 1: was murdered. He believes that Jeffrey Epstein took his own life.
• 0:40
Speaker 1: And according to him, that's because of the way he
• 0:42
Speaker 1: thought that Jeffrey Epstein was behaving leading up to his death.
• 0:46
Speaker 1: So in this episode, we have an article from the
• 0:48
Speaker 1: Daily Mail and the headline, Jeffrey Epstein's suicide watch companion
• 0:53
Speaker 1: insists pedophile financier did kill himself after becoming defeated in
• 0:58
Speaker 1: his final days. This article was authored by Mark Duhl.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: An inmate who regularly chatted with Jeffrey Epstein behind bars
• 1:08
Speaker 1: has revealed he's convinced the pedophile financier killed himself after
• 1:12
Speaker 1: observing his decline. And look, I'm not going to dispute
• 1:16
Speaker 1: what Mr. Mercy has to say. That's his opinion. He
• 1:18
Speaker 1: was there and he witnessed Jeffrey Epstein's behavior. But keep
• 1:22
Speaker 1: in mind, this is one man's account and he was
• 1:25
Speaker 1: only with Jeffrey Epstein for a combined like 20 hours. Then,
• 1:29
Speaker 1: of course, we hear from other people, such as his brother,
• 1:33
Speaker 1: such as his lawyer, Mr. Schoen, and I think most importantly,
• 1:40
Speaker 1: from Dr. Bodden, that the official narrative that we're getting
• 1:43
Speaker 1: from the government just doesn't add up. And me personally,
• 1:47
Speaker 1: when you look at everything that we know, look at
• 1:49
Speaker 1: all the coincidences, and then you look at what people
• 1:52
Speaker 1: like Dr. Bodden have to say, I have a hard
• 1:55
Speaker 1: time believing that Jeffrey Epstein killed himself. At least on
• 1:59
Speaker 1: his own. And what I mean by that is, was
• 2:02
Speaker 1: he motivated to do it by somebody else? Like, you know,
• 2:06
Speaker 1: a gigantic muscle-bound psychopath that was already in jail looking
• 2:12
Speaker 1: at four murders? Could he have been used to send
• 2:15
Speaker 1: a message to tell Jeffrey Epstein what to do? Is
• 2:18
Speaker 1: that so far out of the realm of possibility? I mean,
• 2:21
Speaker 1: I guess for some people it is. Not for me, though.
• 2:24
Speaker 1: Because I think that's what happened. I think that Nicholas
• 2:28
Speaker 1: Tartaglione was there to send the message, and Jeffrey Epstein
• 2:31
Speaker 1: received that message, and then we saw what happened. Mercy
• 2:35
Speaker 1: spent at least 20 hours chatting with Epstein, especially about
• 2:38
Speaker 1: how Mercy ended up in jail for tax fraud after
• 2:41
Speaker 1: underreporting income from an escort advertising agency. Well, that doesn't
• 2:46
Speaker 1: sound like a good idea. You're already on the radar.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: You have a fucking escort agency. Probably a good idea
• 2:53
Speaker 1: to pay your taxes, right? Like if you're going to
• 2:56
Speaker 1: be involved in that kind of business, you want to
• 2:58
Speaker 1: make sure that everything is squeaky clean. But he saw
• 3:02
Speaker 1: Epstein's downfall firsthand, seeing him in a defeated mood and
• 3:05
Speaker 1: sitting on the floor of his cell eating chicken out
• 3:08
Speaker 1: of a container between his legs. Well, what's he supposed
• 3:11
Speaker 1: to do? Bro's in a jail cell. It's not like
• 3:14
Speaker 1: he has the option to go sit at the nice table,
• 3:17
Speaker 1: you know, the one with the marble on it that
• 3:18
Speaker 1: he's used to sitting at. What's he supposed to do?
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Epstein was found dead in his cell at the notorious
• 3:26
Speaker 1: jail in Manhattan in August 2019, while he awaited trial
• 3:29
Speaker 1: on sex trafficking charges, with his death ruled as a suicide. Mercy,
• 3:35
Speaker 1: who was in the prison between January and November 2019,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: has now spoken about Epstein in a new BBC Panorama documentary,
• 3:44
Speaker 1: which airs tonight. He said, I observed his decline. Only
• 3:52
Speaker 1: the last time I watched Jeffrey did his mood really
• 3:54
Speaker 1: strike me as defeated. So, only the last time you
• 3:58
Speaker 1: watched him? That doesn't line up with everything else he's
• 4:02
Speaker 1: saying here, does it? And as far as the decline goes,
• 4:06
Speaker 1: that decline began after the incident with Tartaglione, didn't it?
• 4:11
Speaker 1: And I know that some people have tried to pitch
• 4:12
Speaker 1: Tartaglione as like some kind of hero, if you will.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: But boy, oh boy. Talk about misguided. Guys like that
• 4:21
Speaker 1: They don't give a shit if somebody like Jeffrey Epstein
• 4:23
Speaker 1: kills themselves. Are you kidding me right now? You think
• 4:26
Speaker 1: that that dude's gonna lift a finger to help Epstein?
• 4:30
Speaker 1: In my opinion, that dude was sent there to send
• 4:33
Speaker 1: a message. And as we see, that message was received.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: He was sitting on the floor of his prison cell
• 4:40
Speaker 1: with a styrofoam container with chicken between his legs, looking
• 4:43
Speaker 1: very down and out. And I said, Jeffrey, what are
• 4:45
Speaker 1: you doing? Why are you eating chicken on the floor? Oh,
• 4:48
Speaker 1: it's just easier this way. So because he was eating
• 4:50
Speaker 1: chicken on the floor, he must have killed himself. And
• 4:55
Speaker 1: then he asked me if I needed any money. And
• 4:57
Speaker 1: I said, well, you know, you're a billionaire. Why would
• 5:00
Speaker 1: I say no? That's a ridiculous question. So he said, well,
• 5:03
Speaker 1: I can put some money on your books. I think
• 5:07
Speaker 1: in retrospect, he was saying goodbye. This is it. I'm
• 5:09
Speaker 1: going to throw you a few bucks and you're never
• 5:11
Speaker 1: going to see me again. I'm going to kill myself
• 5:14
Speaker 1: at the earliest convenience, which he did. Asked whether he
• 5:17
Speaker 1: ever received the money. Mercy said no. You know what?
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Not for nothing. I don't really take too much stock
• 5:24
Speaker 1: in this whole story by Mr. Mercy. Now, it's a
• 5:27
Speaker 1: nice look inside what was going on, maybe. Look at
• 5:30
Speaker 1: the process that was occurring. But any more than that, Mr.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: Mercy is just speculating like anybody else. Mercy had signed
• 5:40
Speaker 1: up as an inmate companion, which is a program where
• 5:42
Speaker 1: prisoners complete four hours of training before taking shifts to
• 5:46
Speaker 1: observe fellow inmates on suicide watch. This made him one
• 5:49
Speaker 1: of the only people who had regular direct contact with
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Epstein while he was in jail, aside from prison staff
• 5:55
Speaker 1: and the financier's lawyers. And Epstein was spending like 12
• 5:58
Speaker 1: hours a day with his lawyers while he was down
• 6:01
Speaker 1: in MCC. So it wasn't like he was sitting around
• 6:05
Speaker 1: in the cell in the shoe, you know, twiddling his thumbs.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: He was with his legal team pretty much the whole day.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Mercy explained how he chatted and sat with Epstein for
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: at least 15 to 20 hours, adding, I talked a
• 6:18
Speaker 1: lot about how running an advertising agency for prostitutes worked,
• 6:22
Speaker 1: which is how I made the money. I didn't declare
• 6:23
Speaker 1: on my income taxes and ended up there in his company.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: And he was interested in the business aspect. There were
• 6:30
Speaker 1: times when he would sort of drift off and I
• 6:33
Speaker 1: knew that he was, oh my God, I was having
• 6:35
Speaker 1: a good time for a second and now I just
• 6:37
Speaker 1: remember the deep shit I'm in. Okay, I mean, I guess,
• 6:41
Speaker 1: but this is Mercy's word, right? This is what he's
• 6:44
Speaker 1: saying his interaction with Epstein was, but I think it's
• 6:46
Speaker 1: a very surface level interaction. Anyone who knows anything about
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Epstein knows that Epstein isn't letting somebody like Bill Mercy
• 6:53
Speaker 1: get close. Certainly not going to spill the beans to
• 6:57
Speaker 1: Bill Mercy. Epstein was discovered on the floor of his
• 7:01
Speaker 1: special housing unit cell weeks after he was temporarily transferred
• 7:04
Speaker 1: to the special suicide watch wing of the jail following
• 7:08
Speaker 1: an earlier suicide attempt. They just call it a suicide attempt.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: They don't even bother to put in the fact that
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Epstein claimed that he was attacked. So let's just run
• 7:16
Speaker 1: the narrative. Is that what we're doing now? We're just
• 7:18
Speaker 1: accepting the narrative? All right, I guess. Now look, it's
• 7:23
Speaker 1: perfectly fine to accept the narrative when there's evidence to
• 7:26
Speaker 1: back it up. But there's no evidence here besides what
• 7:31
Speaker 1: we heard from the medical examiner who at first called
• 7:34
Speaker 1: it an apparent suicide and then changed it after three
• 7:38
Speaker 1: days later after being pressed to a suicide. So if
• 7:42
Speaker 1: you want to trust Bill Barr and you want to
• 7:44
Speaker 1: trust the Trump administration, that's cool. I'm not going to
• 7:48
Speaker 1: sit here and tell you that you're wrong because I
• 7:51
Speaker 1: can't prove it. But what I will tell you is
• 7:54
Speaker 1: I'm not buying that line of bullshit. And when they
• 7:56
Speaker 1: leave out that important context of what happened, of course
• 8:00
Speaker 1: people aren't going to understand that something else might have
• 8:02
Speaker 1: occurred in that cell. That Tartaglione might have had a
• 8:06
Speaker 1: message to send. The U.S. Bureau of Prisons initially called
• 8:12
Speaker 1: Epstein's death an apparent suicide. Then the New York Medical
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Examiner officially ruled it a suicide. But there have been
• 8:18
Speaker 1: various unsubstantiated theories ever since over whether foul play was
• 8:23
Speaker 1: involved in his death. Epstein's accomplice, the British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 8:27
Speaker 1: is serving a 20-year prison sentence in the U.S. for
• 8:31
Speaker 1: alluring young girls for him to sexually abuse. Meh, and
• 8:35
Speaker 1: abuse herself. Why do they always leave that part out?
• 8:38
Speaker 1: And why do we have to call her a socialite
• 8:41
Speaker 1: Should we call John Wayne Gacy a construction worker? You know,
• 8:46
Speaker 1: John Wayne Gacy, the former construction worker, killed 475,000 boys
• 8:51
Speaker 1: and stuffed them underneath his house, but he was a
• 8:54
Speaker 1: construction worker first and foremost. Do we ever get that
• 8:57
Speaker 1: qualifier for him? Why the fuck am I getting a
• 8:59
Speaker 1: socialite qualifier for Ghislaine Maxwell? What she is, is a disgusting,
• 9:05
Speaker 1: bipedal serpent, child-abusing scuzzbag. That's what Ghislaine Maxwell is. Virginia Roberts,
• 9:15
Speaker 1: who died by suicide last year, had accused Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
• 9:18
Speaker 1: of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager, after
• 9:21
Speaker 1: allegedly being trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has strongly denied this.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: Allegedly being trafficked? Well, that's odd. Did you not see
• 9:30
Speaker 1: what happened during her lawsuit with Ghislaine? Who got hit
• 9:34
Speaker 1: with perjury charges? Oh, Ghislaine Maxwell, right? Did Prince Andrew
• 9:41
Speaker 1: challenge the charges against him? Or did he pay out
• 9:43
Speaker 1: a fat bag? So you can save the whole allegedly
• 9:47
Speaker 1: for somebody else. But when we're talking about Virginia specifically,
• 9:51
Speaker 1: there's no doubt in my mind. And I can say
• 9:53
Speaker 1: that confidently because I knew Virginia and her and I
• 9:56
Speaker 1: spoke quite a bit. So you can save the allegedly
• 9:59
Speaker 1: shit for somebody else. The king, last year, stripped his
• 10:04
Speaker 1: brother of his royal titles after fresh revelations about his
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Epstein ties and Andrew was forced to leave his Windsor
• 10:10
Speaker 1: mansion and move to the monarch's private Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Andrew and Peter Mandelson, the former UK ambassador to the US,
• 10:20
Speaker 1: were both arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in
• 10:23
Speaker 1: public office over their connections with Epstein. They were subsequently
• 10:28
Speaker 1: released under investigation and deny any wrongdoing. Well, in that case,
• 10:33
Speaker 1: let's just wrap it all up. They denied it. And
• 10:36
Speaker 1: we know that Peter Mandelson and Prince Andrew, two of
• 10:38
Speaker 1: the most honest men to ever do it, right? Those
• 10:41
Speaker 1: guys would never tell a lie to anybody. We're talking
• 10:44
Speaker 1: fucking George Washington over here with the cherry tree. But
• 10:47
Speaker 1: you know what the most frustrating part about all of
• 10:49
Speaker 1: that is? that the United States refuses to play ball.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: Imagine if the US would just give them the documents
• 10:55
Speaker 1: they wanted. What would happen is, the UK would have
• 10:58
Speaker 1: no excuse then. They'd have to pursue this. And if
• 11:01
Speaker 1: that happened, well, the United States government, they couldn't control
• 11:05
Speaker 1: the blast radius. And like I always tell you, that's
• 11:08
Speaker 1: what this is all about. And when it comes to
• 11:10
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, and his death inside that jail cell, they
• 11:14
Speaker 1: desperately want you to believe the narrative. The question is,
• 11:18
Speaker 1: do you? All the information that goes with this episode
