- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites. I am Jeff Schwortz. This is
- 0:11Speaker 1: our Monday par lay show. Is useful. I am joined
- 0:14Speaker 1: by Paul Laduka and Fillion. For Chad Millman is black
- 0:19Speaker 1: Jack Fletcher, who was on his deathbed nearly but he
- 0:22Speaker 1: made it out to talk to us today. How you doing,
- 0:25Speaker 1: fellas good? All he knows. Ever since black Jack has
- 0:30Speaker 1: been on his deathbed, he's been hid as a pistol.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Maybe it's why you got a fever, black Jack. Maybe maybe,
- 0:38Speaker 1: But I'll take it if that's the reason. But he
- 0:41Speaker 1: is here, PAULI, and that's all that matters. All right, guys,
- 0:44Speaker 1: this show's gonna be a little different than our normal
- 0:46Speaker 1: Monday parlay show. College football is almost over. We have
- 0:49Speaker 1: a game tonight Alabama Clemson National Championship game in Santa Clair.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We will discuss that as well as the four divisional
- 0:56Speaker 1: round matchups in the NFL playoffs this weekend. We're not
- 0:59Speaker 1: going to do a nine team parlay. There's not really
- 1:02Speaker 1: nine plays to make us early in the week. Obviously
- 1:04Speaker 1: other sports you don't have lines for the rest of
- 1:06Speaker 1: the week, So we'll talk about just the four games
- 1:09Speaker 1: coming up this weekend as well as the game tonight.
- 1:12Speaker 1: But first, it was a amazing weekend of wild card football.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Three games come down to the last possession, obviously ending
- 1:20Speaker 1: last night with the double doink in Chicago as they
- 1:23Speaker 1: kick bounced off the upright and then the crossbar and
- 1:25Speaker 1: ended up going out for the Eagles to win. Underdogs
- 1:28Speaker 1: four and oh against the spread unders three and one
- 1:32Speaker 1: this weekend. I believe now fourteen and one underdogs are
- 1:36Speaker 1: against the spread the last fifteen playoff games. Uh, PAULI,
- 1:40Speaker 1: what was your biggest takeaway from this weekend? Yeah, well,
- 1:44Speaker 1: obviously Saturday was in big surprise the way that the
- 1:47Speaker 1: Colts and I mean the Cowboys are I think we're
- 1:50Speaker 1: the biggest surprise. Day just absolutely dominated Seattle, and the
- 1:54Speaker 1: conservative play calling kept Seattle in the game, and so
- 1:57Speaker 1: did Russell Wilson and the Boys. But I didn't really
- 2:00Speaker 1: think Indianapolis would go in there and smack I mean,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I'm not I said this with Bill Brian, the conservative
- 2:06Speaker 1: play calling that he has it, but I didn't think
- 2:08Speaker 1: both of those teams would go and smack both of
- 2:10Speaker 1: those teams around. Now, the two games yesterday, I mean
- 2:14Speaker 1: the flags that were thrown and the wackiness of the
- 2:17Speaker 1: plays and the missed field goals. Those two games yesterday
- 2:20Speaker 1: were very entertaining and in the charges obviously they dominated
- 2:25Speaker 1: the Ravens obviously to the end of that game and
- 2:27Speaker 1: they started scrambling a little bit. But um, yeah, it
- 2:30Speaker 1: was very interesting. Saturday was more surprising to me. Sunday.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I really didn't feel that those teams would just not
- 2:35Speaker 1: beat them. They smacked them both those teams in the
- 2:37Speaker 1: mouth check listen as hard as the surprise those I mean,
- 2:45Speaker 1: Paulie hit it on the head. The way the Colt
- 2:46Speaker 1: just dominated the Texas surprised me. But I think my
- 2:51Speaker 1: biggest takeaway Jeff is uh, I'm not ready to stand
- 2:55Speaker 1: in front of this Eagles team right now. There's something
- 2:58Speaker 1: going on there brother, with Nick Foles back, and I
- 3:01Speaker 1: am not willing to get in front of that train. Well,
- 3:04Speaker 1: we will talk plenty of about this game. The line
- 3:06Speaker 1: is absolutely outrageous in my opinion, for the game this weekend,
- 3:09Speaker 1: especially with the way with the way Folds is playing. Um,
- 3:12Speaker 1: a couple of thoughts for me. Let's talk about Folds
- 3:15Speaker 1: really quick. So I can't explain really what's happening, but
- 3:19Speaker 1: I give you the best idea that I have and
- 3:21Speaker 1: kind of piecing together what I've heard from people in
- 3:23Speaker 1: Philly and whatnot. Is, Look, we know Carson Wentz is
- 3:28Speaker 1: more physically gifted than Nick Foles. That that's not a question.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I think. Because of that, and he's a young quarterback,
- 3:33Speaker 1: he tries to do too much within this offense. He
- 3:36Speaker 1: holds the ball too long, he looks for the home run.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Nick Foles just does what the play calls for it. Right,
- 3:41Speaker 1: If if Doug Peterson says we're calling all goes special
- 3:45Speaker 1: and it's too high, you throw this guy, he just
- 3:47Speaker 1: throws that guy. He'll take the five yard route, the
- 3:49Speaker 1: seven yard route, the check down. Yeah, he'll throw the
- 3:51Speaker 1: ball deep. Fun guys start the way, you know. But
- 3:54Speaker 1: once I think that time is trying to do too much,
- 3:56Speaker 1: Foals doesn't. And they believe him. He's won seven rate
- 4:00Speaker 1: must win games now in in in in in the
- 4:04Speaker 1: last two years. He won the three games in the playoffs,
- 4:05Speaker 1: last year, the three games in the regular season, and
- 4:09Speaker 1: this year and he won this game yesterday. Now, look
- 4:11Speaker 1: they got lucky, right this kick, I mean, mr kick
- 4:14Speaker 1: to lose. But like that's what I think is happening,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and it's so remarkable But to me, the biggest takeaway
- 4:20Speaker 1: from this weekend is something that Bill Coward said on
- 4:22Speaker 1: the CBS Morning Show. I think it's it's fabulous. He said,
- 4:25Speaker 1: your strings get you into the playoffs, and your weaknesses
- 4:28Speaker 1: gets you out. Ravens offense I called this from the beginning.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Their offense is a fugazzi. It's fake. The Chargers exposed them. Uh.
- 4:35Speaker 1: If you look at the Bears kicking game all year
- 4:37Speaker 1: right eleven Mrs Ben atrocious party having had eight of
- 4:41Speaker 1: eleven misses. Uh, and their look and they're kind of
- 4:44Speaker 1: conservativeness on offense, a little bit constant, only six points offensively.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And in the Seahawks and Cowboys, the Seahawks designed a
- 4:50Speaker 1: game plan for Blake Bordles, not Russell Wilson, so the
- 4:53Speaker 1: considered play call and got them in the end. That's
- 4:56Speaker 1: what the weekend felt like to me. If you look
- 4:58Speaker 1: at guys, if you look at the four teams advancing
- 5:01Speaker 1: um also with you, PAULI, which one scares you the most?
- 5:04Speaker 1: Heading of divisional weekend? Well, I'm a black jack. It's Philadelphia.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And in my take on Nick Foles is here's a
- 5:11Speaker 1: guy that was almost we're going to retire without football,
- 5:17Speaker 1: his love for football was sort of gone. And and
- 5:19Speaker 1: that's why I think the steel balls, that's where it
- 5:21Speaker 1: comes from. That's what makes him who he is. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: just think that at one point that in his life
- 5:28Speaker 1: he thought football was like, you know what, I'm okay
- 5:31Speaker 1: without it. I can live without it, even though I
- 5:33Speaker 1: could be a pretty good NFL quarterback. And after the
- 5:38Speaker 1: Philly Special, how could you ever be nervous when it
- 5:41Speaker 1: was fourth down? He was just looking at Peterson like like, okay,
- 5:46Speaker 1: give me the play before they called the time out,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you know, like let's go. I'm ready to go. He
- 5:50Speaker 1: has no worry. Um, So, yeah, they do worry me now.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I know they're going into an impossible place. But this
- 5:56Speaker 1: guy has got some magic that some more Joe. And
- 6:01Speaker 1: he throws a ball that is so featherly touchily like
- 6:06Speaker 1: it seems like any human walking down the street can
- 6:08Speaker 1: catch Nick Foles his football, you know what I mean.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And it's just something about him. He's right, there's something
- 6:13Speaker 1: going on. And uh, they worry me a little bit.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what. The Cowboys keep surprising me.
- 6:21Speaker 1: They really do. And and that offensive line is starting
- 6:24Speaker 1: to gel and gel even more and more like they
- 6:26Speaker 1: were a couple of years ago, and they're getting scary
- 6:27Speaker 1: a little bit. The Eagles. You your team that you'd
- 6:32Speaker 1: worry the most about. No, they're not as much as
- 6:35Speaker 1: I like the Eagles and what they're doing. I think
- 6:38Speaker 1: the the clear answer here is the l A Chargers,
- 6:41Speaker 1: and I say that because they have a matchup in
- 6:46Speaker 1: New England that is suited perfectly for what they do.
- 6:51Speaker 1: The Ravens were a tough matchup for the Chargers right
- 6:54Speaker 1: because that defense is built on getting pressure on the
- 6:57Speaker 1: quarterback and that's tough to do with Lamar Jack him
- 7:00Speaker 1: with the way he moves around. With Tom Brady, tom
- 7:03Speaker 1: Brady is not moving around very much. He doesn't have
- 7:06Speaker 1: those deep threats, which is the one spot in their
- 7:09Speaker 1: defense where they are vulnerable. Without Josh Gordon there Gronkowski.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Gronkowski looks like an old man on the field these days.
- 7:17Speaker 1: He looks like he's lumbering down the field. I think
- 7:21Speaker 1: that Chargers defense is suited perfectly for the New England Patriots.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I think this is a horrible matchup for New England.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I think the Chargers are in a prime spot here
- 7:32Speaker 1: to advance. Well, we'll get to that games I I disagree,
- 7:36Speaker 1: but we we can. I'll tell you why I disagreed,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and we'll get to that later. Would be great, But
- 7:40Speaker 1: to me, it's a coult. We forgot the Colts. By
- 7:42Speaker 1: the way, Look, here's the with the Colts. Since they're
- 7:45Speaker 1: one in five start, number one scoring defense in the NFL, obviously,
- 7:49Speaker 1: the best record, number one point differential, and the fewest
- 7:51Speaker 1: sacks allowed in National football that's the recipe for winning
- 7:54Speaker 1: the playoffs. You have to play offense. Right, We've seen
- 7:57Speaker 1: now that the top five offenses and dv o A
- 7:59Speaker 1: are still in there's only two top five defenses. Like,
- 8:02Speaker 1: you gonna play some offense, you gonna play some defense too.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The Colts can do everything, and they're they're the way.
- 8:07Speaker 1: At a schedule, they go into into Kansas City and
- 8:10Speaker 1: I look, obviously we know my by the place with
- 8:12Speaker 1: the Chiefs. Man, this is a terrible matchup of the
- 8:14Speaker 1: Chiefs because the Colts can play defense, and if they
- 8:17Speaker 1: hold the Chiefs to twenty eight points let's say, which
- 8:19Speaker 1: is still a lot of points in National Football League,
- 8:21Speaker 1: they're gonna score thirty five. I don't know how they
- 8:24Speaker 1: how they stop how the Chiefs stopped the Colt. So
- 8:26Speaker 1: to me, it's the Colts, and look, we can end
- 8:28Speaker 1: up with a five and a six playing and you
- 8:32Speaker 1: know for the NFC Championship and the Chargers and the Colts,
- 8:36Speaker 1: and I think that's that's somewhat realistic. I don't think
- 8:38Speaker 1: that's that's crazy. The thing now, both are fairly big underdogs,
- 8:42Speaker 1: especially the Colts the weekend. Before we get to all
- 8:44Speaker 1: of that, before we get to the pro games, let's
- 8:46Speaker 1: talk about the game tonight Alabama Clemson. I like Clemson.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I got him at plus six. I think it's a
- 8:51Speaker 1: five and a half. Now I like to over to
- 8:54Speaker 1: not not as much as I like Clemson plus six.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I think it's a backdoor cover type of game. I
- 8:58Speaker 1: think that Clemson know when this game is gonna have
- 9:01Speaker 1: to play it really up tempo, like they did when
- 9:03Speaker 1: they beat one. I just the gap, in my opinion
- 9:07Speaker 1: and talent is not big enough to warrant the six spread.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Uh Blotic, I'll start with you here, how do you
- 9:13Speaker 1: think this game goes? I'll go one step further, Jeff,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I don't think there is a gap in talent between
- 9:20Speaker 1: these two teams. I'm taking Clemson on the money line here.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I like them to win this football game. I think
- 9:27Speaker 1: we've seen Alabama in situations this year be pushed a
- 9:31Speaker 1: little bit, especially against Georgia in the second half against Oklahoma.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Clemson is not scared of this team, Jeff, There's no
- 9:40Speaker 1: intimidation when Clemson goes on the field against Alabama. They've
- 9:43Speaker 1: played them before, they've beaten them before. Clemson, with Trevor
- 9:48Speaker 1: Lawrence out there, healthy, has just as as good a
- 9:52Speaker 1: weapons offensively as Alabama does. They've got great experience on
- 9:57Speaker 1: that team. Their line play is solid, They're stout on
- 10:01Speaker 1: both lines. I like Clemson at plus one right now.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a shot at Clemson to win this thing.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I think we're all on the same side here with Clemson.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I think a lot of people don't realize they are um.
- 10:17Speaker 1: If you look at their rating, they're better rated on
- 10:19Speaker 1: offense and defense combined. In Alabama is so um And
- 10:25Speaker 1: the a c C has done okay um um in
- 10:29Speaker 1: the bowl games, and and so is the SEC. Listen,
- 10:32Speaker 1: like like your black Jack said, they've played each other.
- 10:34Speaker 1: They know this. This is the same thing. Like this,
- 10:36Speaker 1: this is gonna be obviously unbelievable rivalry. Dabo Sweeney Um
- 10:42Speaker 1: and Nick Saban just have a knack to have their
- 10:45Speaker 1: guys ready. I love the way the Clemson defense played. Um.
- 10:48Speaker 1: A lot of people are gonna say they played a
- 10:49Speaker 1: duck um. But if I've and a half points, is
- 10:52Speaker 1: still a lot of points in the National Championship game
- 10:54Speaker 1: with the team, well, like I like, you know, black Jackson,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I can win the game out right, And we've seen
- 11:00Speaker 1: you know, Alabama finally, you know, a little bit here
- 11:05Speaker 1: and there and getting a little scared. Finally that everybody
- 11:08Speaker 1: thought they were so invincible at the beginning of this year.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I say not at the beginning, like four weeks ago,
- 11:14Speaker 1: everybody had Okay, let's say if Clemston goes, this line
- 11:17Speaker 1: was gonna be seven and a half, eight nine, somewhere
- 11:20Speaker 1: in that area. It's all it's down all the way
- 11:22Speaker 1: to five and a half. And all the money, well
- 11:24Speaker 1: not all the money, that's six of the money is
- 11:26Speaker 1: on Alabama in this game open at seven, So sharp money,
- 11:29Speaker 1: if you want to go that way, has been on Clemson. Yeah. Look,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I think that there's if you were to if I know,
- 11:37Speaker 1: we've been kind of comes in heavy here. If you
- 11:39Speaker 1: want to back Alabama, there's many reasons to do so. Okay,
- 11:41Speaker 1: their offense along as fabulous left tackle is gonna be
- 11:44Speaker 1: drafted as the first tackle. Their center starting his fourth
- 11:47Speaker 1: straight NAS championship game. The right tackle might be the
- 11:49Speaker 1: best run blocker's it's outrageous, right, so crazy? Uh, they're
- 11:53Speaker 1: they're They're right tackle might be the best run blocker.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We know. Clemson secondary in the back end is their weakness.
- 11:58Speaker 1: They have a great defense, But if you're to point
- 12:00Speaker 1: out a weakness, guess their secondary. If their offense line
- 12:02Speaker 1: can block long enough, I think Alabama scored. I think
- 12:05Speaker 1: the overs is a good play here too. Just I
- 12:07Speaker 1: think both teams are gonna have to run into tempo
- 12:09Speaker 1: to tire out the defenses and allow themselves to score
- 12:12Speaker 1: a lot of points. Or let's move along to the
- 12:15Speaker 1: National Football League. Uh and the first game this weekend
- 12:20Speaker 1: is Indie at Kansas City. Uh. India's getting six points
- 12:24Speaker 1: right now there plus six over under a fifty six
- 12:26Speaker 1: and a half, which is a lot of points. Here's
- 12:28Speaker 1: my here's my deal with this game. So obviously I
- 12:31Speaker 1: am a Chiefs fan. My brother plays for the Chiefs.
- 12:34Speaker 1: But their defense is atrocious right there? Twenty six and
- 12:37Speaker 1: d v O a And here's the deal. Everyone's gonna
- 12:39Speaker 1: point to this. They're gonna say, well, their defense plays
- 12:42Speaker 1: well at home. That is very true. But they played
- 12:44Speaker 1: the Raiders, they played the Cardinals, the Broncos, the Bengals,
- 12:49Speaker 1: the Jaguars, and the Niners at home. Then they played
- 12:51Speaker 1: the Ravens at home, who would beat by three, only
- 12:53Speaker 1: scored twenty four points. And the best team they played
- 12:55Speaker 1: at home with the Chargers, who scored twenty nine points
- 12:57Speaker 1: on them. I just feel like this is setting up
- 13:00Speaker 1: to be a disaster for the Chiefs. I love the Chiefs.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I love my brother. I text another day saying like, like,
- 13:05Speaker 1: basically like this cold teams is tough. I don't think
- 13:08Speaker 1: he even answered that answer that for me, But um,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I just think we're I think we're setting up for
- 13:14Speaker 1: just another heartbreak in Kansas City with with the Colts
- 13:17Speaker 1: putting up thirty five or thirty eight points. I mean, Jeff,
- 13:21Speaker 1: don't don't you think though that that at some point?
- 13:24Speaker 1: I mean, this Indianapolis team, they're kind of playing with
- 13:27Speaker 1: house money at this point, right, No, I mean, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: they've had to win now so many weeks in a row. Then,
- 13:34Speaker 1: I mean, don't you think at some point it becomes
- 13:37Speaker 1: a burden on you. I mean, the Chiefs arrested, they're
- 13:40Speaker 1: at home, They've had two weeks to prep for this game.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I mean, I just I just had such a hard
- 13:46Speaker 1: time seeing this Chiefs team. And I know what what's
- 13:50Speaker 1: happened in the past with them in the playoffs, but
- 13:53Speaker 1: this particular team coming out flat. I don't think it's
- 13:59Speaker 1: about coming out. I think that's that the Colts can
- 14:01Speaker 1: score at will on them, and it puts actually pressure
- 14:04Speaker 1: more on the Chief's offense to be perfect because if
- 14:07Speaker 1: they if they if they don't score every time, I
- 14:10Speaker 1: don't see how the Colts get stopped unless they turn
- 14:12Speaker 1: the ball over, which obviously can happen. I'm not saying
- 14:14Speaker 1: it won't happen. But that's my concern is the Chief's
- 14:17Speaker 1: defense is by far the worst defense still in the playoffs.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I mean, it's not even like remotely close. I mean,
- 14:25Speaker 1: Kansas City is let's say twenty six, and dv ol
- 14:27Speaker 1: A and the Rams are nineteen, and then there's like
- 14:31Speaker 1: I mean, then there's a bunch of other teams that
- 14:32Speaker 1: are kind of average. So PAULI, what's your what's your field?
- 14:35Speaker 1: This game? Listen like you know. I mean I've even
- 14:38Speaker 1: on Pat mahomes chamed since the beginning. I've always loved him. Um,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I actually think this game, they I don't know who's
- 14:44Speaker 1: gonna stop who. I think Andy Reid will have enough
- 14:46Speaker 1: of his sleeve with the week off and be able
- 14:48Speaker 1: to put up some points on that defense. And like
- 14:51Speaker 1: you said, I don't know how they're I'm going to
- 14:55Speaker 1: stop Andrew Luck crazy stat um since the merger, they
- 15:01Speaker 1: are Marty Schottenheimer and Andy Reid basically or three and
- 15:05Speaker 1: seventeen in the playoffs against the spread and oh in
- 15:10Speaker 1: nine against the spread at home. And if you look
- 15:14Speaker 1: at him Luck, he plays he plays better against better teams.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You know, he's he's nine and four UM against teams
- 15:26Speaker 1: with extended rest. And we talked about this where he
- 15:28Speaker 1: covered against Brady's just he has a knack of covering.
- 15:32Speaker 1: This is a lot of points. I get it. I
- 15:34Speaker 1: I love the Chiefs that they're gonna score a lot
- 15:35Speaker 1: of points. But I just don't know how Indianapolis is.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Is this a train moving? I don't know how they're
- 15:40Speaker 1: gonna stop that run game. Um, It's scares you because
- 15:46Speaker 1: the Chiefs are explosive and you get a week off.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But those stats don't lie. I can't. I couldn't believe
- 15:50Speaker 1: it when I saw it, um um, So I'll probably
- 15:54Speaker 1: lay a little bit on the over. It's still a
- 15:56Speaker 1: lot of points for a playoff, I mean, still six points.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Is they're just begging you to play the Kansasy Chiefs.
- 16:03Speaker 1: The Kansasy Chiefs have never been had a line like
- 16:06Speaker 1: this where Vegas has wanted you to bet them the
- 16:08Speaker 1: whole year. They've been trying to get you to sort
- 16:11Speaker 1: of layoff because they've crushed them early, I think. I mean, Paul,
- 16:14Speaker 1: you know the thing that that's weird about this too
- 16:16Speaker 1: is I'm looking at this game on our app right now,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and you've got seventy three of the money on Indianapolis,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and yet that line is going up. I mean it
- 16:26Speaker 1: opened it five, it's now it's five and a half
- 16:28Speaker 1: or six. Yeah, it opened. It's kind of been all
- 16:32Speaker 1: over the place again. I think it opened lower. It
- 16:35Speaker 1: four the cut hammer by the cold, so it went about.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It's been all over the place. It's been. It's been
- 16:39Speaker 1: up and down. I agree, it's it's a lot of
- 16:41Speaker 1: money is coming to the Chiefs from I would guess
- 16:44Speaker 1: smart people obviously if the Wines were in that direction.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But I don't know, man, Paul, would you get that
- 16:50Speaker 1: staff from that's amazing, Yeah, it's an amazing stat It's
- 16:53Speaker 1: from our staff. Evan Ammons did it, uh yesterday And
- 16:58Speaker 1: if you go on our app and click click it on,
- 17:01Speaker 1: it's it's the first thing he comes up with. And
- 17:03Speaker 1: it's since the NFL a FL major merger in nineteen seventy.
- 17:08Speaker 1: The Chiefs are four and sixteen straight up, three and
- 17:12Speaker 1: seventeen against the spread in the playoffs, including Owen nine
- 17:16Speaker 1: against the spread at home. That is like, that's insane.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That's an insane stuff. It is, it is, and it's
- 17:22Speaker 1: an interesting staff. But I mean this is a different
- 17:25Speaker 1: team this of course. Of course you've got the Homes
- 17:27Speaker 1: there now and they play a totally different styles. So
- 17:31Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, you know what. The more
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm telling about this bet in the Chiefs right now
- 17:39Speaker 1: is making a bet. We do we need to put
- 17:40Speaker 1: we need to put the sounder in there for that,
- 17:43Speaker 1: um uh, the other the Chad sound he's making a bet.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Um alright, son, yesterday, I think I think I lean
- 17:53Speaker 1: Colts plus six. Look, I would listen the Chiefs can
- 17:57Speaker 1: easily win this game. I I don't think. I don't
- 17:58Speaker 1: want to get that miscontr you're here. I just think
- 18:00Speaker 1: it's it's a bad man. I think Colts will score
- 18:02Speaker 1: a lot too. The Chiefs have to score a ton
- 18:03Speaker 1: of points. That's why I think the over. I I
- 18:06Speaker 1: probably will never bet the over here because that's a
- 18:07Speaker 1: lot of points. I know, paul you you might hammer
- 18:10Speaker 1: it over here, but I like Indie plus six. Black
- 18:12Speaker 1: Check likes Kansas City minus six. So Paula, you're the
- 18:16Speaker 1: you're the tiebreaker. Yeah, I'd probably go with um wow,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I'll go in and I'd probably play Indianapolis plus two
- 18:26Speaker 1: points in this game, just because of the line. I'd
- 18:29Speaker 1: probably stay away. Like, you're right, I'm probably gonna play
- 18:31Speaker 1: the over a little bit. You are playing the over
- 18:33Speaker 1: come on, Yeah, already did for five point nine units
- 18:37Speaker 1: whatever it is, Yeah, exactly. I I just don't know.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I just think with the week off, you know, Andy
- 18:44Speaker 1: Reid and good for thirty five points, they're good for
- 18:47Speaker 1: the But you make a great point. I mean, like,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I don't the way the Colts offense is rolling right now,
- 18:54Speaker 1: God almighty, this is it's gonna be a fun game
- 18:56Speaker 1: to watch. I'll tell you that al right. Next up,
- 19:00Speaker 1: let's go to the game in Los Angeles, Dallas at
- 19:03Speaker 1: the Los Angeles Rams. This game, by the way, they
- 19:04Speaker 1: call seam. I looked up this morning. There. They're in
- 19:06Speaker 1: a construction right now, which which we all know. I see.
- 19:09Speaker 1: It's seventy eight thousands, you see. But they're fixing. They're
- 19:12Speaker 1: putting in a real press box like they're making a
- 19:13Speaker 1: big Boys stadium. Now. Um, there's gonna be forty five
- 19:17Speaker 1: thousand Cowboys fans of this game. It's gonna feel like
- 19:19Speaker 1: a Dallas home game. Um. I was there too. Lots
- 19:22Speaker 1: of surprise me. This is one of them. Uh. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: bet Dallas already plus seven I I I can't believe
- 19:29Speaker 1: this line is what it is. Um. The Rams have
- 19:32Speaker 1: been bullied when they've played great defenses the last couple
- 19:35Speaker 1: of weeks, and Dallas is a great defense right now.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I think Dallas bullies the Rams. I think the Rams
- 19:40Speaker 1: could win this game, but they have not looked the
- 19:42Speaker 1: same since since since since Cooper Cup has been hurt,
- 19:45Speaker 1: and like Paulice did to start the show, I've kind
- 19:47Speaker 1: of been a doubter of Dallas. They just keep winning
- 19:49Speaker 1: football games. I mean, at some point you gotta say,
- 19:53Speaker 1: maybe it's working for them. So I think the Rams could.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I think I can see the Rams win this game.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I think seven points is way too many points for
- 19:59Speaker 1: Cowboys team. By the way, we'll shoring the game up
- 20:01Speaker 1: because they can run the football in. The Rams defense
- 20:03Speaker 1: is not very good. Um, Aaron Donald's good. The Rams
- 20:06Speaker 1: defense is not very good. That just keeps making plays
- 20:09Speaker 1: and their defense is gonna, I think, kind of harass
- 20:12Speaker 1: the Rams all game. Yeah, this is uh, this is
- 20:16Speaker 1: a game, Jeff that I I'm curious to see how
- 20:19Speaker 1: this thing plays out because you know, we're we're we're
- 20:22Speaker 1: so used to Sean mczay now in his two years
- 20:24Speaker 1: in l A. You know, having these great game plans
- 20:27Speaker 1: and pulling a rabbit out of his hat. But the
- 20:28Speaker 1: Rams have looked flat for about a month now and
- 20:33Speaker 1: the Cowboys. It's funny you say that because Chad and
- 20:35Speaker 1: I have the same conversation on Friday that at some
- 20:38Speaker 1: point you gotta look in the mirror and just ask yourself, like,
- 20:42Speaker 1: have I just been missing this? Like because we underrated
- 20:45Speaker 1: the Cowboys too, and you know I think that they
- 20:48Speaker 1: are just they're better than we thought they are. The
- 20:50Speaker 1: trade for Marii Cooper trip changed their offense. They're a
- 20:54Speaker 1: different team now they have that vertical threat. It opens
- 20:57Speaker 1: up the running game, it opens up stuff underneath, and
- 21:00Speaker 1: of defense with those linebackers. Man, those linebackers are incredible.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Vanderess and Jaylen Brown, those two kids are out standing together. UM,
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'm with you. Seven points, there's too many. I think
- 21:12Speaker 1: the Rams win. But this this feels to me like
- 21:17Speaker 1: three kind of games. Yeah, I'm with both of you, guys.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I actually think that the Dallas Cowboys can win this game.
- 21:22Speaker 1: If you look back, was it four four weeks ago
- 21:27Speaker 1: when the Rams losses Chicago and then they went and
- 21:29Speaker 1: um lost to Philadelphi at home. I had mentioned Jared
- 21:33Speaker 1: Goff against Chicago. They they got in his face. He
- 21:36Speaker 1: started to get a little happy feet. He got happy
- 21:39Speaker 1: feet because the front four or for Philadelphia has darned
- 21:42Speaker 1: good too. They'll get in your face. Then they fattened
- 21:45Speaker 1: up on the Cardinals. What I said, it was the
- 21:47Speaker 1: worst team in the league and they were you know,
- 21:49Speaker 1: they still give up. I know at the end of
- 21:50Speaker 1: the year, they still get up over three points in
- 21:52Speaker 1: San Francisco to end the year, they were shaky towards
- 21:55Speaker 1: the end the way the stylus has has been playing
- 21:58Speaker 1: towards the end of the year. If Jason Garrett would
- 22:01Speaker 1: stay aggressive and grows some other kind of hair on
- 22:05Speaker 1: those red balls, he has a shot to win this
- 22:08Speaker 1: game because if he can get and Garrett's if he
- 22:10Speaker 1: gets in Jason, if he gets and get Golf's face,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and he gets stays aggressive and tells his defense corpinator,
- 22:17Speaker 1: stay aggressive, and they can run the football. This is rediculous.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Not only did open it opened at seven and a half.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I can't completely hung seven and a half by alone.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Now it's down to seven. But I I really truly
- 22:30Speaker 1: feel that they're the most vulnerable team because Golf towards
- 22:33Speaker 1: the end of the year was a little bit shaky.
- 22:36Speaker 1: When you can get in his face, now, if you
- 22:38Speaker 1: let him sit back there, he's just gonna pick you apart.
- 22:40Speaker 1: But the Cowboys can get in his face, and if
- 22:44Speaker 1: they can, then they can run the football. The one
- 22:47Speaker 1: thing that will wear me a little bit about this,
- 22:50Speaker 1: Russell Wilson was ten of eleven plaques SHRA passes this
- 22:52Speaker 1: past week against the Cowboys. The Rams run the highest
- 22:55Speaker 1: percent of plaque shop pass in the NFL. Now it's
- 22:57Speaker 1: not working quite the same without Cooper Cup there. But
- 22:59Speaker 1: if you're looking to back the Rams, it's a big number.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I think that's where you look is is the Rams
- 23:04Speaker 1: run the football, Well they're arrested, uh. Andrew Whitworth, the
- 23:08Speaker 1: left tackle, should be able to play. They arrested, uh.
- 23:11Speaker 1: And then they hit you know, big play action passes
- 23:12Speaker 1: down down the field. That's something that I would look
- 23:14Speaker 1: at it and say, look, this is where the Rams
- 23:16Speaker 1: score all other points that the totals forty nine. It
- 23:19Speaker 1: feels like a number. I don't really feel like playing
- 23:22Speaker 1: very much. No, I'm with you. I don't like the
- 23:26Speaker 1: total either, Yeah either do I actually like So it's
- 23:31Speaker 1: one in three last week if with the unders and overs,
- 23:33Speaker 1: right it was three the unders were three and one, yes, yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and basically that it was a based on a two
- 23:40Speaker 1: play conversion, right yeah yeah. So, I mean that's the
- 23:46Speaker 1: thing of the playoff game is the same thing when
- 23:48Speaker 1: you get in the basketball. They seem to calm down.
- 23:51Speaker 1: The flags went down, even though yesterday the flags are
- 23:53Speaker 1: ridiculous and it was a field goal fest. But Denzelo
- 23:56Speaker 1: just gets tighter like the strike. Soone gets tighter when
- 23:58Speaker 1: it gets in the playoffs, and RAM gets a little smaller,
- 24:01Speaker 1: so you got to be careful with deenners and numbers
- 24:04Speaker 1: in the playoff games. Look, defense matters obviously, but scoring.
- 24:09Speaker 1: You know, defense matters most in the red zone, and
- 24:11Speaker 1: we have really good red zone defenses in National Football. Alright,
- 24:15Speaker 1: first game Sunday, a game that I would be fun
- 24:17Speaker 1: to discuss because I think we have a disagreement on
- 24:19Speaker 1: this right away. Chargers at the Patriots. Patriots favored by
- 24:23Speaker 1: four and a half over under is forty seven. Alright, Black,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I'll let you go first because you have an argument
- 24:29Speaker 1: for the Chargers you mentioned earlier, and then I'll Paul.
- 24:31Speaker 1: You can go second, and I'll give you why I
- 24:34Speaker 1: liked the team I like. Go ahead, black Jack. I'm
- 24:38Speaker 1: all oad of the Chargers here. I bet this as
- 24:39Speaker 1: soon as this line came out of plus four and
- 24:41Speaker 1: a half for the Chargers. I think, like I said earlier, Jeff,
- 24:46Speaker 1: the Chargers are built to deal with this Patriots team.
- 24:50Speaker 1: They have a great pass rush, they have a physical secondary.
- 24:53Speaker 1: New England. New England doesn't run the ball very effectively.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I mean, they're twenty one in the NFL in running
- 25:00Speaker 1: the ball. This year, they lose Josh Gordon Gronkowski, Like
- 25:05Speaker 1: I said, is I mean Gronkowski looks like he's about
- 25:08Speaker 1: fifty five years old out there trying to get down
- 25:10Speaker 1: the field. And you know, it's hard to to to
- 25:15Speaker 1: It's hard to knock the Patriots because there's still the
- 25:17Speaker 1: Patriots and they're at home in Foxboro. But you know,
- 25:22Speaker 1: we're basically talking about an offense here that's gonna rely
- 25:25Speaker 1: on short and intermediate routes. When you've got Melvin Ingram,
- 25:30Speaker 1: Joey Bosa and that pass rush coming to Brady, I
- 25:35Speaker 1: just I think there's gonna be a problem there with
- 25:39Speaker 1: them protecting with them protecting Brady, and then you know
- 25:43Speaker 1: their defense it's been decent, but Keenan Allen is probably
- 25:48Speaker 1: gonna have to deal with Stefin Gilmour. I think that
- 25:51Speaker 1: that that should be a good matchup, but I think
- 25:54Speaker 1: Keenan Allen is still gonna get his Also, the Chargers
- 25:58Speaker 1: play at a very very slow pace their thirtieth in
- 26:01Speaker 1: the league and pace which means they're going to try
- 26:03Speaker 1: to keep the ball out of Brady's hands, which is
- 26:06Speaker 1: something that that honestly is is a huge factor because
- 26:10Speaker 1: the more. The more you give him the ball, you
- 26:12Speaker 1: give him the chance to get those two for ones
- 26:14Speaker 1: at the end of the first half, you give him
- 26:16Speaker 1: a chance to win the game at the end of
- 26:18Speaker 1: the game. And the last factor is the game's on
- 26:21Speaker 1: the road, which normally I think would be an issue.
- 26:25Speaker 1: But the Chargers, that damn road warriors of the NFL.
- 26:28Speaker 1: There ain't no outside of l A. I mean, they've
- 26:31Speaker 1: they've been fantastic on the road. So there's nothing about
- 26:36Speaker 1: this game in my mind that that makes me want
- 26:39Speaker 1: to take New England and lay four and a half points. Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 1: this is the most confusing game of the slate. Um
- 26:49Speaker 1: black check makes a lot of good points in here.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Um that New England really doesn't get to the quarterback,
- 26:57Speaker 1: that that's going to help an offensive line to the Chargers,
- 26:59Speaker 1: it's not great. I think their thirtieth in the league
- 27:02Speaker 1: and sack right where actually, um Um. But also in
- 27:08Speaker 1: New England's offensive line I think is better than you think.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So number one. Yeah, so Brady's gonna be able to
- 27:14Speaker 1: do histing. Um. I have a feeling this game is
- 27:18Speaker 1: gonna go on. I have a feeling this is gonna
- 27:20Speaker 1: be a grinded out type of game. But then again,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you never know. It's so hard to to like pick
- 27:26Speaker 1: Brady or pick Belichick's um mind because you never know.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Like black Check said, they are going to try to
- 27:33Speaker 1: slow the game down. Now, is Brady and Belichick gonna
- 27:35Speaker 1: just gonna try to speed this game up and play
- 27:38Speaker 1: an uptepo game? Now we're gonna look at an over
- 27:40Speaker 1: game this side. I'm gonna let you two guys go
- 27:44Speaker 1: at it. I I do not know. The Chargers to
- 27:47Speaker 1: me have always been confusing, you know. Philip rivers Um,
- 27:50Speaker 1: he said after the game, he's I'm I'm more excited
- 27:53Speaker 1: than I ever. It reminds me of two thousand seven.
- 27:56Speaker 1: He looked like a little kid. That was the last
- 27:57Speaker 1: time he went into Foxboro. He was hurt. They got
- 28:00Speaker 1: beat Um and he's been waiting what and this long
- 28:04Speaker 1: for this and he deserves it. Man. This guy's had
- 28:07Speaker 1: a great year, and I think he's had an underrated year.
- 28:09Speaker 1: And he's a quarterback that's had a career that I
- 28:12Speaker 1: think a lot of people don't give him credit for
- 28:14Speaker 1: what kind of career has had, you know. And and
- 28:17Speaker 1: PAULI and Jeff just just one other side note about
- 28:19Speaker 1: this game. They are forecasting three to five inches of
- 28:22Speaker 1: snow on Sunday in Foxboro. Interesting, so there's question the
- 28:27Speaker 1: hammer the under really quick. I love I love betting under,
- 28:30Speaker 1: so I'll for my first raver that now. Alright, my
- 28:33Speaker 1: quick thoughts about this game. At four and a half,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I leaned to the Chargers, all right, I think the
- 28:37Speaker 1: Patriots win this game, but four and a half makes
- 28:40Speaker 1: me lean a little bit towards towards Los Angeles. But
- 28:43Speaker 1: I'll give you the reasons why I think New England
- 28:45Speaker 1: wins this game. One is their offensive line is good, okay,
- 28:48Speaker 1: and they can they can stop the Charger's pass rush.
- 28:52Speaker 1: And we we see this all the time where good
- 28:54Speaker 1: defensive team comes into New England and Tom Brady just
- 28:57Speaker 1: picks him apart. Right, they go empty and they throw
- 29:00Speaker 1: the ball around. Now, look, the Chargers are good against that, right.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I'm not saying the charge of defense is bad. I
- 29:04Speaker 1: can't do that. But we've seen that throughout throughout their
- 29:08Speaker 1: trout Tom Brady's time in New England. And this is
- 29:10Speaker 1: a little different, right, He's older, now, Gronk, like you mentioned,
- 29:13Speaker 1: Blackjack is is fifty years old, playing like seven years old.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It's not the same team, but he routinely is able
- 29:18Speaker 1: to make plays against these defenses because he gets the
- 29:21Speaker 1: ball out quickly, he identifies pre snap where they're going
- 29:24Speaker 1: with the ball, and he does enough the second thing.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And while the Chargers have been fabulous, you mentioned that
- 29:30Speaker 1: they're nine oh this year where they've had to fly right,
- 29:33Speaker 1: the one game they missed was the game in Los Angeles,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and includes a couple of preseason games as well. Um,
- 29:40Speaker 1: but they almost charged that game yesterday, right, they missed it.
- 29:46Speaker 1: They missed a kick to start the second half of
- 29:49Speaker 1: field goal. They turned the ball over, the worst thing
- 29:52Speaker 1: they could do with that at that time. Turn the
- 29:53Speaker 1: ball over backed up, gave the Ravens opportunity to get
- 29:57Speaker 1: three points, and then they got a punt blocked. Those
- 29:59Speaker 1: are those are three possessions that started the second half.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Then they allowed Lamar Jackson, who had been who had
- 30:06Speaker 1: like negative to passing yards entering the fourth quarter, to
- 30:10Speaker 1: go off in the fourth quarter by just running around
- 30:13Speaker 1: with his head cut off and throwing the ball deep
- 30:14Speaker 1: and not playing defense. So uh, that worries me a ton,
- 30:18Speaker 1: because you can't make those mistakes against the Patriots. The
- 30:21Speaker 1: Patriots don't beat themselves they let other teams beat themselves.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And that's what worries me with the Chargers is until
- 30:28Speaker 1: proven otherwise, I'm gonna think the charges will continue to
- 30:32Speaker 1: be the charges of old. And that's why at four
- 30:34Speaker 1: and a half, I lean to the Chargers, but I
- 30:37Speaker 1: I lean more towards the Patriots winning this game. Fair enough,
- 30:44Speaker 1: Jeff Will, We'll have to see, you know. My my
- 30:46Speaker 1: biggest My biggest thing is that I just I've watched
- 30:50Speaker 1: a lot of the Patriots. I've done on the Patriots
- 30:52Speaker 1: on this year. Tom Brady just doesn't look like Tom
- 30:55Speaker 1: Brady anymore. There are moments when he does a dender,
- 31:00Speaker 1: moments when he throws the ball, especially when he throws
- 31:03Speaker 1: it downfield and it looks like Eli Manning is throwing
- 31:06Speaker 1: it up there. He's just lost ing it up there
- 31:12Speaker 1: and asking to get intercepted. I mean, that's what we
- 31:14Speaker 1: saw in the Pittsburgh game in the fourth quarter, and
- 31:18Speaker 1: I just I kind of think that's it for New England.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I don't know, I know people have been saying this
- 31:24Speaker 1: for the last six seven years, but I kind of
- 31:28Speaker 1: think we're at the end here. I think we're close
- 31:31Speaker 1: to the end here. But let's move on one more
- 31:34Speaker 1: game to talk about the Eagles and the Saints. This
- 31:37Speaker 1: game is at nine right now for the Saints over
- 31:39Speaker 1: runs a fifty one. I'll tell you the best. I
- 31:41Speaker 1: like best. I'm not sure I'm gonna touch nine because
- 31:43Speaker 1: I do think well. I agree that that Nick Foles
- 31:47Speaker 1: is playing gray and Eagles have some moji. I can
- 31:49Speaker 1: see this game getting out of hand because the Eagles
- 31:51Speaker 1: secondary is awful and forever reason the Bears yesterday just
- 31:54Speaker 1: decided to not challenge them. I don't know why Saints
- 31:57Speaker 1: will not have that problem. They will throw the Eagle secondary,
- 31:59Speaker 1: who's starting their thirteenth player in the back end. The
- 32:02Speaker 1: bet I like the one I've made so far. Saints
- 32:04Speaker 1: over twenty nine and a half points throughout the game
- 32:07Speaker 1: they played against the Eagles, just generally speaking as far
- 32:09Speaker 1: as game planned for this weekend. But they've scored since
- 32:12Speaker 1: the Browns game. Since week two at home they scored
- 32:15Speaker 1: forty three and thirty one. They're off of buy, they're healthy.
- 32:21Speaker 1: That's the player. Like most Saints over twenty nine and a
- 32:23Speaker 1: a half points. I'm not sure I like a side yet,
- 32:26Speaker 1: and I'm not sure like the total yet. Uh, Blackjack,
- 32:29Speaker 1: where do you side in this game. This was the
- 32:33Speaker 1: first game I met because I caught it at ten
- 32:35Speaker 1: when it opened a ten pin Philly plus ten um.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I think the Eagles. You know, there's something else about
- 32:42Speaker 1: this Eagles team, Jeff. They tend to play really well
- 32:46Speaker 1: when they're when they have like an additional motivation. You know.
- 32:50Speaker 1: We saw it last year in the playoffs when they
- 32:52Speaker 1: had the dogs. Yeah, when the home underdogs. The Saints
- 32:57Speaker 1: absolutely curb stub this team six weeks ago. And when
- 33:03Speaker 1: that happened, I think we all thought the Eagles are done,
- 33:05Speaker 1: that's it, the end of their season. I think they
- 33:07Speaker 1: went to like four and six after that game, and
- 33:10Speaker 1: we thought they were finished. I think that gives them
- 33:13Speaker 1: a little bit of extra motivation to go into here
- 33:15Speaker 1: and hang with this New Orleans team. I don't know
- 33:18Speaker 1: that they can win this game. Everything you said about
- 33:20Speaker 1: the Saints is right. I like that team total over
- 33:23Speaker 1: as well, but I think they can sure if he'll
- 33:25Speaker 1: keep it within ten. Yeah, um, I originally, you know,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I I think the Eagles can keepe with intent. I'm
- 33:35Speaker 1: with you. We usually when you, like you said, they
- 33:37Speaker 1: lost two to seven. Um. Usually when that happens, they'll
- 33:40Speaker 1: come back and it would be a closer game. If
- 33:42Speaker 1: you look, um, five times, there's a couple of five
- 33:45Speaker 1: dimes still has this game at ten. It's really weird.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Some some books have this game from seven and a
- 33:52Speaker 1: half to ten. We have it on ours like here
- 33:54Speaker 1: and that like eight like, but five Times has kept
- 33:58Speaker 1: it at ten like and it's almost like it's you're right,
- 34:03Speaker 1: it opened up so big attend like, well that's a
- 34:06Speaker 1: lot of points. But like you said, I can see
- 34:08Speaker 1: New Orleans blowing them out. Can you see Philadelphia? Um
- 34:11Speaker 1: maybe back door? And yeah I can. I just think, uh,
- 34:18Speaker 1: this is tough and the under and over has gone
- 34:20Speaker 1: gone down even though people are playing the over. If
- 34:24Speaker 1: I had to play the game, I'd probably play the
- 34:26Speaker 1: Eagles because I think they can maybe back door. But
- 34:29Speaker 1: I understand where you're saying, where you're going. Just you know,
- 34:31Speaker 1: New Orleans is the dangerous team that can that could
- 34:34Speaker 1: just just bury somebody this weekend. So one thing I
- 34:38Speaker 1: want to say about the rematch. I know when people
- 34:39Speaker 1: are gonna look at this game and say, look at
- 34:41Speaker 1: the first game, I'll tell you why, don't worry. Don't
- 34:44Speaker 1: worry about that game. First of all, Doug Peterson has
- 34:46Speaker 1: has said publicly he has not watched that film, like
- 34:48Speaker 1: I'm sure he has probably, but like the team did
- 34:51Speaker 1: not watch a film as a team, Like, there are
- 34:52Speaker 1: games you play that are so bad it actually makes
- 34:56Speaker 1: sense to just forget about him. So just say, you
- 34:59Speaker 1: know what it like, we lost so seven who can like,
- 35:02Speaker 1: we're not watching this game. We played so bad, there's
- 35:05Speaker 1: no point in in in reliving it. We're not gonna
- 35:08Speaker 1: do it. The Eagles are a different team now, so
- 35:09Speaker 1: either throw that game out you know where. Like the
- 35:12Speaker 1: Ravens and Chargers played in Week sixteen, that was a
- 35:15Speaker 1: blueprint for the Chargers to beat the Ravens this week,
- 35:17Speaker 1: this is not really a blueprint for the Saints in
- 35:19Speaker 1: my opinion, to beat them. I will say to me,
- 35:22Speaker 1: the biggest factor in this game is the Saints offensive
- 35:25Speaker 1: line should be healthy ish uh. Their left tackle toront
- 35:29Speaker 1: Armstead as a chess thing he's dealing with. He should
- 35:31Speaker 1: be back on. Just Pete should be back, so should
- 35:33Speaker 1: Ryan ram Check. That offensive line has been the best
- 35:36Speaker 1: over the last two years in the National Football League. So,
- 35:39Speaker 1: like Blackstick, I love the team total over. I would
- 35:42Speaker 1: lean Eagles right now. I wouldn't touch a side. You
- 35:44Speaker 1: know what's what's funny about the sides? Guys will uh
- 35:47Speaker 1: I mean totals? Well, uh, Well end with this, Like
- 35:49Speaker 1: I felt comfortable throughout the season betting a lot of
- 35:52Speaker 1: these totals. I just didn't feel the same way during
- 35:55Speaker 1: the first round of playoffs. Did you feel the same way? Like,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I feel like that the lines be the totals, I
- 35:59Speaker 1: should say, kind have been like not where I wanted
- 36:02Speaker 1: to bet them. Do you feel the same way? If
- 36:04Speaker 1: you look the totals in the divisional rounds were well,
- 36:09Speaker 1: forty eight was the first total, but then the rest
- 36:11Speaker 1: were what forty three and a half, forty two, forty two.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Now we're getting in divisional round Now look at them,
- 36:16Speaker 1: they're forty seven all the way up to fifty seven. Like,
- 36:20Speaker 1: and all the games went under last week. So it's
- 36:22Speaker 1: a little confusing, right, Like all the four numbers have
- 36:25Speaker 1: gone up before, but now the four best offenses now
- 36:28Speaker 1: come in off of by But the teams that played
- 36:33Speaker 1: last week, you know, traditionally have a tiny bit of
- 36:35Speaker 1: advantage maybe early first maybe first half. It was a
- 36:38Speaker 1: little bit of a rhythm, and you know, the totals
- 36:42Speaker 1: being higher was a little bit surprised. I'm surprised. Fifty
- 36:45Speaker 1: seven in a divisional game. That's a lot of points. Well,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I mean, listen, you deal with two offenses that can
- 36:50Speaker 1: score pretty easily. In the chief defense, that's terrible. But
- 36:54Speaker 1: I mean even in this game, you know, fifties a lot. Look,
- 36:58Speaker 1: the Eagles are going to score seven points. They're gonna
- 37:00Speaker 1: put up more than that. Okay. There's a critical difference
- 37:03Speaker 1: between this game and the first game that these two
- 37:05Speaker 1: teams played, and that's in the first one, the Eagles
- 37:08Speaker 1: went in there with that ginger bumb Carson wentz. Where
- 37:12Speaker 1: now they've got Nickols under center and they're gonna put
- 37:16Speaker 1: points up. Jeff dick nick as he said as he's
- 37:20Speaker 1: called around the philadelph Can I ask you, I ask
- 37:23Speaker 1: a question. Why did the kickers when the timeouts called?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Why did they kick it? Why? Practice? Right? But why? Um?
- 37:34Speaker 1: So it was interesting? Um uh, Chris Clean a couple
- 37:38Speaker 1: of guys is that. Um I think they used it
- 37:42Speaker 1: to judge where they're as especially if it's a long
- 37:44Speaker 1: kick to add more umph. And I think the first
- 37:46Speaker 1: kick that that he made, the one that to account
- 37:48Speaker 1: obviously was it didn't really he didn't really hit it
- 37:50Speaker 1: very well, and she tried to overhit it the second time.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Is my guess of what happened. Um, but yeah, man,
- 37:58Speaker 1: like obviously I think what you said before we were
- 38:02Speaker 1: starting in the park. Did he really train kicking? Yeah?
- 38:07Speaker 1: So so the story is in this video. Supposedly when
- 38:10Speaker 1: when he was a kid at home, he trained his
- 38:14Speaker 1: accuracy by trying to hit like a light post outside
- 38:16Speaker 1: his parents house. So he's been really accurate all year.
- 38:19Speaker 1: He's been extremely accurate all year. Poor guy. Man, Look obviously,
- 38:24Speaker 1: look if you're if you're a bum and you're a
- 38:26Speaker 1: loser that sends this guy death threats, you need to stop.
- 38:28Speaker 1: That's Adam that a lot of people don't know about.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Go back. It's a long time ago. There's a song
- 38:36Speaker 1: called the Lonesome Kicker. Really yeah, it's about it's about
- 38:41Speaker 1: a kicker. Um, it just will tell you everything what
- 38:45Speaker 1: happened yesterday. So I need to know the Lonesome Kicker.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I feel like that's a good place to end. The
- 38:50Speaker 1: Lonesome Kicker. Go go look that up by Adam Sandler.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Weird note his new Netflix special was filled in Charlotte.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I was actually there. We had no idea he was
- 39:00Speaker 1: gonna film it. Yeah, we had no idea he was
- 39:03Speaker 1: gonna film. He just showed up and said guys were
- 39:05Speaker 1: filming r Netflix special here, and of course people freaked out.
