- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, So my name is Hendrik called Bank.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I played the bass.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Uh, the Lioness play.
- 0:07Speaker 2: The guitarist is.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Lion has a guy called playing the guitar, and Sebastian
- 0:15Speaker 1: as the singer. Oscar is playing guitar and saxophone.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Or other.
- 0:21Speaker 1: What do you call it other instruments blow instruments, and
- 0:25Speaker 1: then you have Linus on the synthesizer, and then you
- 0:28Speaker 1: have four on the drums.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Fantastic, right, thanks for joining us this evening. The Viner
- 0:35Speaker 3: Boys released a four studio album via Boys Back on
- 0:39Speaker 3: April the twenty fifth. Like, I know, it hasn't been
- 0:41Speaker 3: that long, but that's the only reception for it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: From all, I think it got really good reaction. People
- 0:49Speaker 1: seem to like it's a lot from from my point
- 0:53Speaker 1: of view, Yeah, yeah, good reviews and yeah, people seem
- 1:01Speaker 1: to like the lost Oh so.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Can you tell us a bit more about the album
- 1:05Speaker 3: from a musical point of view? And what do we
- 1:07Speaker 3: got to call this top around?
- 1:09Speaker 1: M oh from the I think when we started it
- 1:13Speaker 1: it was just we're trying to make a viagro voice records,
- 1:19Speaker 1: So I don't know, it looks a little bit on
- 1:22Speaker 1: streets worms and but we just kept on.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Doing music that we liked.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And yeah, you know, often start out with a bassline
- 1:31Speaker 1: and goes from there and then Sebeti makes the vocals
- 1:34Speaker 1: above it, and after that, maybe after doing a versus,
- 1:39Speaker 1: we can see where the cour is going to be.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And yeah, but it's it's a lot of different kinds
- 1:46Speaker 1: of music on the album as well. It's a little
- 1:48Speaker 1: bit slower songs as well.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And it's so you probace the singles Men made of
- 1:55Speaker 3: Mate you know to and the Bog Bodies just say
- 1:57Speaker 3: that's all somebody's heard of the albums had a good
- 2:00Speaker 3: sonic representation of what to expect or it does that
- 2:03Speaker 3: just scratch your surface?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say that that's like maybe there a
- 2:10Speaker 1: little bit more rackoush than some of the other songs,
- 2:13Speaker 1: but yeah, like man Maadeo means it's a classic rock
- 2:18Speaker 1: song in the Men's tempo and Bog Body is a
- 2:22Speaker 1: little bit more punk here, and you know, it's a
- 2:25Speaker 1: little bit slower one.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But yeah, it's a lot of bass and it's a
- 2:28Speaker 2: lot of it.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say they would represent the whole album.
- 2:32Speaker 3: You know, one of those songs are you know Too?
- 2:38Speaker 4: I was listening to her this morning, and.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It makes several references to Australians, but I couldn't figure
- 2:43Speaker 3: out whether the reference is it a good way or
- 2:45Speaker 3: a bad way?
- 2:49Speaker 2: I don't think it's has a.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I don't think it's a you know, it's just about
- 2:53Speaker 1: that he doesn't listen.
- 2:58Speaker 2: From Creative.
- 3:02Speaker 3: The same pretty much got a country summed up. Well,
- 3:04Speaker 3: if you know that we don't listen by now.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I haven't actually really heard much of the viager Boys
- 3:15Speaker 3: until I listened to this album, but he won me
- 3:17Speaker 3: over twenty second twenty six seconds into the opening track,
- 3:20Speaker 3: Man Made a Meat with a there was a background
- 3:22Speaker 3: burb that pretty much sets the tone for the whole album, Like,
- 3:26Speaker 3: was that deliberate to go with a song that had
- 3:28Speaker 3: just happened in the studio and he decided to leave
- 3:30Speaker 3: it there?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:33Speaker 2: The burb, Yeah, the burp was on what's that?
- 3:37Speaker 1: What do you call it? Not on purpose, it's just happened.
- 3:41Speaker 1: But it was really good though, you know.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It was it stands out the first thing I noticed.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I think probably it was the best time had
- 3:53Speaker 1: a beer one for something.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Came up really well.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Didn't well.
- 4:04Speaker 3: One of our Heavy's reviewers, Corey he's a massive Faures
- 4:07Speaker 3: and he reviewed the album and he was a little
- 4:10Speaker 3: bit puzzled by the inclusion of the song Best in
- 4:12Speaker 3: Show Part four because he.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Said he hadn't even heard part three yet, so.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Kicks me that up for us, there is no there
- 4:20Speaker 1: is only one part two. I guess the parts one
- 4:24Speaker 1: part two. I think there is on three firms. But
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's maybe it's a little a little bit like the
- 4:31Speaker 1: Star Wars movies, you know, but in a more confused
- 4:35Speaker 1: way that they started out with three, four and five.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, they take they started out to I have no idea,
- 4:46Speaker 3: but they were they went, they went all in order.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I know that much.
- 4:50Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, The first one.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Was for four or five six.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Star Wars, Right, okay, I'll have to take you away.
- 5:00Speaker 1: That three would come on next album.
- 5:03Speaker 3: A lot to tell them he's gonna have to keep
- 5:05Speaker 3: listening and you'll come across it eventually. Then the final
- 5:12Speaker 3: track on the album, Riviking, it's it's a solo piano ballad,
- 5:15Speaker 3: which even for you guys, it's kind of left field, like,
- 5:18Speaker 3: what was the food process behind over of that one?
- 5:20Speaker 4: There?
- 5:21Speaker 2: No, it was.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Elias is a really good player. Since I sor he
- 5:24Speaker 1: plays the piano as well, and we got a piano
- 5:27Speaker 1: for our studio, so he sat down there and played
- 5:29Speaker 1: the song and Sebastian came around and I think Sebastian
- 5:33Speaker 1: he has put some vocals above it, and I heard it.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And then sounded really good.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And then they kept on working on it, and that's
- 5:39Speaker 1: how it happened.
- 5:43Speaker 3: As you mentioned before, like there's a lot of a
- 5:45Speaker 3: lot of different genres, there's so much musically going on
- 5:48Speaker 3: in the album that you still managed to make the
- 5:52Speaker 3: creative process how how difficult is it to bring everything
- 5:54Speaker 3: together so that it sounds like it should be there?
- 5:59Speaker 2: I think you have to. You know, it takes time.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You have to write a lot of different songs, and
- 6:04Speaker 1: then you have to listen to all these songs you
- 6:06Speaker 1: have and then you have to start taking out some
- 6:08Speaker 1: and keep some and yeah, you know, but it usually
- 6:13Speaker 1: the best one who says, whatever kind of genre there
- 6:16Speaker 1: there is.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Is it difficult live?
- 6:18Speaker 3: Like me in the studio, you've got to be the
- 6:20Speaker 3: time to sort of put everything together. But live on stage,
- 6:23Speaker 3: is it difficult to actually perform all that stuff that
- 6:26Speaker 3: you don't because there is a lot going on?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Ah? No, I think it's fine.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I mean, it's just good to have some slower songs
- 6:34Speaker 1: and some faster songs and different kinds of songs when
- 6:37Speaker 1: you play live as well.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Just speaking of live, you guys have just announced an
- 6:43Speaker 3: Australian tour for January.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Question.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah, fun, Sorry you disappear a little bit here. Let's
- 6:58Speaker 2: see if it comes.
- 7:01Speaker 3: A lot of friends last time, last time you were
- 7:03Speaker 3: out of here, mate, So good to see you back again.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Sorry you can you take it again? Yeah, we're coming
- 7:10Speaker 1: back to Australia and that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: it's gonna be it's gonna be.
- 7:16Speaker 2: A lot of fun.
- 7:17Speaker 1: As always in Australia, it's always crazy.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Your last tour. People are still talking about that, like, yeah,
- 7:27Speaker 4: you guys made a great impact of here last time.
- 7:29Speaker 2: That's a good thing.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It is a good thing. Indeed, buddy. I'll let you
- 7:36Speaker 4: go back against some resting and get ready for your
- 7:38Speaker 4: next show.
- 7:39Speaker 3: But congratulations on the album. She's a Cracker and we'll
- 7:42Speaker 3: see you in about six months.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you very much. See bye bye.
