- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Oh,
- 0:10Speaker 1: Howie Carr, one of the biggest and best talk show
- 0:13Speaker 1: hosts in America. You can hear him on iHeart, you
- 0:16Speaker 1: can get his show, his podcast, you can get his books,
- 0:19Speaker 1: you can get everything at HowieCarrShow.com, HowieCarrShow.com. Howie Carr, how
- 0:25Speaker 1: you doing?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Very good. Very good. How is the traffic in New
- 0:30Speaker 2: York City these days?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Oh, this UN gridlock week, they got everything tied up.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You can't find a parking space. You can't get a hooker.
- 0:36Speaker 1: It's awful here. You don't have this in Boston. Boston
- 0:43Speaker 1: would be a nice place for the UN. You don't
- 0:45Speaker 1: want it there?
- 0:47Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. I don't think so. I
- 0:49Speaker 2: don't think you guys want it either.
- 0:50Speaker 3: If you could put it as a referendum question, I
- 0:53Speaker 3: think it would lose rather resoundingly, wouldn't it? Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Hey, the president spoke at the UN, and this never happens,
- 1:00Speaker 1: but four times during his speech he got applause from
- 1:03Speaker 1: those globalist idiots.
- 1:04Speaker 3: What does that mean? He only ran about 40 minutes, too.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I thought, you know, brevity is the soul of wit,
- 1:11Speaker 3: all saying, but it's true. It's good that he did
- 1:15Speaker 3: it that way. And then the prime minister of Denmark
- 1:19Speaker 3: came out and saluted him as the greatest statesman since
- 1:24Speaker 3: William Pitt or Winston Churchill and And then CNN, the
- 1:29Speaker 3: newsroom is like a funeral because it's going to be
- 1:32Speaker 3: a bloodbath.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I mean, the news isn't that bad. The midterm polls
- 1:36Speaker 2: are bad. But you know what?
- 1:37Speaker 3: The midterm polls are always bad for the Republicans. They're
- 1:40Speaker 3: always bad for Republicans, whatever year it is, right?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yeah. But if you look at all the private internal polling,
- 1:48Speaker 1: it doesn't look so bad. It looks like they got
- 1:50Speaker 1: a good shot. Yeah, you know, I saw.
- 1:54Speaker 3: That headline in the New York Post today about Blakeman
- 1:56Speaker 3: being closer than Zeldin was four years ago. I heard
- 1:59Speaker 3: the same thing on the Cape from a New Yorker,
- 2:01Speaker 3: a New York Republican last weekend, you know? I mean,
- 2:05Speaker 3: it's not that bad.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I mean, she is so terrible, you know? I mean,
- 2:09Speaker 2: he's got to have a shot, right?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, she is so bad. You know, she should be
- 2:13Speaker 1: the Massachusetts governor. She'd fit right in there.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Well, they're like, you know, has anyone ever seen Mara
- 2:18Speaker 3: Healy and Kathy Hochul in the same room?
- 2:20Speaker 2: They really... They really are very similar.
- 2:23Speaker 3: You know, they're trying to, you know, they've got the
- 2:25Speaker 3: highest utility rates in the nation just about on continental.
- 2:28Speaker 3: And then they're, you know, they're just throwing back these crumbs,
- 2:33Speaker 3: as Nancy Pelosi would say, to the rate payers as
- 2:36Speaker 3: if we're all going to forget what happened. And it's just,
- 2:40Speaker 3: you know, it's, I don't know, the Democrats, they have,
- 2:45Speaker 3: their alternatives are worse. I mean, all you got to
- 2:48Speaker 3: do is think back three, four years. You know, I
- 2:50Speaker 3: love it when they say, oh, well, the inflation is
- 2:53Speaker 3: out of control. The inflation is, what, one-third of what
- 2:55Speaker 3: it was under Biden four years ago.
- 2:57Speaker 2: At this point? The gas prices, oh, it's an existential crisis.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It was five bucks a gallon four years ago, and
- 3:06Speaker 3: the Democrats wanted it to go higher.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Remember that? They would all say, we need gas.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Prices as high as they are in Europe because it
- 3:15Speaker 3: will save the planet.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Now they're singing a different tune.
- 3:20Speaker 3: They suspended the Governor Healey, the Republican candidate for governor,
- 3:23Speaker 3: said he wanted to suspend the gas tax. So she
- 3:26Speaker 3: decided to say, well, you know what? I've decided I
- 3:29Speaker 3: want to suspend the gas tax. I thought it was
- 3:31Speaker 3: a terrible idea, although Democratic legislative leaders think it's a
- 3:34Speaker 3: terrible idea. But we're going to suspend the gas tax
- 3:38Speaker 3: for two months. Is there any particular reason why it's
- 3:42Speaker 3: only going to be two months? Because the election will
- 3:44Speaker 3: be over? How cynical can they be, Mark?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Well, again, our governor is the same as yours. $ 500
- 3:51Speaker 1: refund on your electric bill, even though she drove it
- 3:54Speaker 1: up $ 5, 000. But, yeah, election gimmicks. So, hey, this is
- 4:01Speaker 1: the president with the press ban. I understand it. I
- 4:04Speaker 1: love to see it happen. But he's not going to
- 4:06Speaker 1: get away with this, is he?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Probably not. But still, I think it's good. You know,
- 4:13Speaker 3: they say, well, you know, this only impresses the people
- 4:16Speaker 3: who already like him, people like us.
- 4:18Speaker 2: But you know what? I mean.
- 4:20Speaker 3: After what they did to him, have you been seeing
- 4:23Speaker 3: these things on social media? I've been putting them out,
- 4:25Speaker 3: putting them on the show, just all these compilations. Remember
- 4:28Speaker 3: when he said Liz Cheney, this was in 2024, Liz
- 4:33Speaker 3: Cheney would feel differently about these forever wars if she
- 4:37Speaker 3: actually was in combat. And then there's a compendium of
- 4:42Speaker 3: like a minute of people on CNN saying, he said
- 4:45Speaker 3: he was going to put Liz.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Cheney out of a firing squad.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And then It's just the astonishing lies that they promote
- 4:54Speaker 3: and they get away with it. And then they, you know,
- 4:58Speaker 3: these idiotic Democratic attorneys general in the states, you know,
- 5:02Speaker 3: treated like, you know, that this is like a First
- 5:05Speaker 3: Amendment issue for them to, you know, get up in
- 5:08Speaker 3: front of the press secretary and insult her. Do you
- 5:13Speaker 3: see Caroline Leavitt? You know what she said? They used
- 5:16Speaker 3: to come to her, the reporters, and they said, well,
- 5:19Speaker 3: this is what we have to do. It's performative art.
- 5:21Speaker 3: You know, we're expected to do this. Even people from,
- 5:25Speaker 3: you know, regime control media don't believe the nonsense that
- 5:31Speaker 3: they're spewing.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, speaking of Caroline Leavitt, that's your protege. You're
- 5:35Speaker 1: the one that … really put her on the map there.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I know. I'm still trying to get her to come back.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I don't think I'm going to succeed, but I'm still
- 5:45Speaker 3: making the pitch. If you're listening, Caroline, give me a call.
- 5:49Speaker 3: You can be on however many or few hours you
- 5:52Speaker 3: want every day on my network.
- 5:55Speaker 2: She's just really great.
- 5:57Speaker 3: I'm glad she's still involved with the president and with MAGA, anyway,
- 6:03Speaker 3: MAGA Inc.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah. I want to see all the money, though.
- 6:07Speaker 3: When's all the money going to be spent to help
- 6:11Speaker 3: out the Republicans to deal with these?
- 6:14Speaker 2: I think the only problem.
- 6:15Speaker 3: They've got, Mark, is the high fuel prices and the
- 6:18Speaker 3: fact that inflation's going up a little bit. Not much
- 6:22Speaker 3: compared to Biden, but it's going up some. because of
- 6:24Speaker 3: the high price of diesel i think that's the only
- 6:26Speaker 3: problem they've got i mean everything else is everything else
- 6:29Speaker 3: is going pretty swimmingly isn't it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah well they got a ton of money they got
- 6:32Speaker 1: about 250 million at the rnc war chest and you're
- 6:35Speaker 1: right they haven't deployed it yet and they haven't got
- 6:38Speaker 1: the messaging crystal clear where is all the messaging that
- 6:41Speaker 1: they need.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Right right i mean just you know what the the
- 6:46Speaker 3: the i guess i guess uh elon musk is doing
- 6:48Speaker 3: some of the you know, in Texas, uh, you know,
- 6:51Speaker 3: Tallarico is for they, them, uh, Paxton is for, for
- 6:54Speaker 3: you and that, that kind of stuff. But I mean, I,
- 6:56Speaker 3: I know you don't want to fight the last campaign.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It never quite works out, but I mean, there's, there's
- 7:01Speaker 3: a lot of good issues, you know, illegal alien crime, uh, the, the, uh,
- 7:06Speaker 3: the fact, how about the fact that, uh, that the,
- 7:09Speaker 3: the income inflation adjusted is the highest it's ever been
- 7:13Speaker 3: since they started keeping records since 1967.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And I know, you.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Know, I, I know, uh, you know, regime-controlled media is
- 7:20Speaker 3: not going to get that out, but they should have
- 7:23Speaker 3: that all over social.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Media, shouldn't they?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you got this report, highest median income, lowest poverty
- 7:30Speaker 1: rate ever. You're right, media refusing to report it. You know,
- 7:34Speaker 1: even that Greenland deal, you know, ABC News on the
- 7:36Speaker 1: nightly news didn't report the deal.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, how about the sound cuts? I'm going
- 7:42Speaker 3: to play a lot of the sound cuts from the
- 7:44Speaker 3: Danish prime minister. she's she loves she loves trump you
- 7:48Speaker 3: know i mean it's it was a great deal for
- 7:50Speaker 3: us she said it's a win for for the u.s
- 7:52Speaker 3: for greenland for denmark and for all of europe i
- 7:56Speaker 3: mean that's i mean it's i that's not a campaign
- 7:59Speaker 3: ad but people ought to people ought to be exposed
- 8:01Speaker 3: to that shouldn't they yeah absolutely well everybody should listen
