- 0:15just a few more general questions. How often did you
- 0:18communicate with mister Epstein as his secretary? Answer yes, well,
- 0:23in the beginning, he was absolutely crazy. He did not
- 0:26have email. He would communicate with me probably every fifteen minutes.
- 0:31He would call the office and you know, gimme directives
- 0:34on how we wanted to organize his day. And it
- 0:36was just crazy, a crazy time. It was hard to
- 0:39keep up. It was very challenging, but he would Yeah,
- 0:42he would call every fifteen minutes. Question and how often
- 0:46were you with him in person? Answer? Not very often.
- 0:49He would come into the office. If he was in
- 0:51New York City, he would come into the office for
- 0:54half a day. He really wasn't in the office that much.
- 0:59Question and did you ever have a romantic relationship with
- 1:02mister Epstein? Answer no. Question did you ever have any
- 1:06sexual relationship with mister Epstein? Answer no. Question. Did mister
- 1:11Epstein ever meet any of your family members? Answer? He
- 1:15briefly met my husband when we were at a Mick
- 1:17Jagger concert, but it was literally one second he said hello,
- 1:20and that was it. Question anyone else? Answer no question.
- 1:26When was the last time you communicated with mister Epstein?
- 1:29Answer was probably some time in July of twenty nineteen.
- 1:34Question do you remember the nature of those communications? Answer
- 1:37no question. And when was the last time that you
- 1:40saw him in person? Answer? I don't recall exactly. It
- 1:43was maybe in June of twenty nineteen, but I don't recall.
- 1:47Question And then were you ever abused or assaulted by
- 1:50Jeffrey Epstein? Answer no. Miss Brignac asking the question, now,
- 1:55what was his reaction when you resigned Groth. I didn't
- 1:59speak to him. I told his attorney, Darren Endyke, that
- 2:01I was resigning. Miss Tolan asked him the question, how
- 2:05would you characterize your relationship with miss Maxwell Graf? Purely professional?
- 2:10Mister Higgins jumps in, mister chairman, may I I'm going
- 2:14to ask you a question. I'm going to have you
- 2:16have to leave in a few minutes. You're doing a
- 2:19very composed job. Thank you for being here, Groff, Thank you. Higgins.
- 2:23Regarding the massage, therapist. You've explained your interactions regarding calling
- 2:27them and communicating and arranging. So I have just a
- 2:31couple of questions there, Groff, of course, Higgins. Did the
- 2:35telephone system at the office have caller ID? Groth? I
- 2:38don't recall. I don't think so, Higgins, Okay, Grof, I
- 2:42don't know. It was so long ago. Was there a caller? Id? Higgins?
- 2:46Did you have any way of knowing when you call
- 2:49these ladies that you believed to be a massage therapists?
- 2:52Did you have any way of knowing that you were
- 2:54calling a massage company or a business or was it
- 2:57always a personal phone? Can you shed some light on that, Graf?
- 3:01I believe it was cell phones, Higgins. It was cell phones, Graf.
- 3:04Uh huh, Higgins. So did the massage therapist ever introduce themselves?
- 3:09Did they ever come give a massage to mister Epstein
- 3:12at the office Graf? Never? No, Higgins, Okay, just asking,
- 3:16I don't know, Graf, Yeah, Higgins. Did you ever meet
- 3:20any of them in person? Graf? I did not, Higgins.
- 3:23And did you ever have a conversation with them about
- 3:25their equipment, like how they were transporting their equipment or
- 3:29did you presume that it was a business Graf. I
- 3:33knew that they were to meet at his home, and
- 3:35I believe that he was he was equipped with what
- 3:37he needed. Higgins. I see. And was the massage therapy
- 3:42session timed. Did they say I'm going to do this
- 3:45from two to three because I have another appointment at
- 3:47four or what? Graff? His day was very scheduled, Higgins, No,
- 3:53for the massage therapist. Graf. Yeah, so they would you know,
- 3:56come for thirty minutes or whatever, you know, the time
- 3:59it was usually short Higgins. So that time schedule that
- 4:04you scheduled, like the window that they were going to
- 4:06be with mister Epstein or whomever. Was there a window
- 4:10that you scheduled Groff? Was it a window I scheduled?
- 4:14I don't know that I ever gave an exact, you know, time,
- 4:17but I knew that if I was scheduling something else
- 4:19for him, say someone was coming for a two o'clock massage,
- 4:23and then I knew his next appointment was two thirty.
- 4:25Does that make sense? Higgins? Okay? And how were these
- 4:29massage therapists paid? Groff? I believe that he paid them.
- 4:33And there were some times when I would be asked
- 4:35to please ask our accounting department to sense two hundred
- 4:38dollars for in an envelope via messenger or picked up
- 4:41from his driver to be delivered to a massuse mister Higgins.
- 4:46And where would that be delivered to an address provided
- 4:49to you Groff? Correct? Higgins? Did you keep documentation of
- 4:53the addresses? Grof? I did not, Higgins, okay? And where
- 4:57would the cash come from? Groff redacted in our accounting
- 5:00department had a petty cash box? Higgins, okay. Final question
- 5:04about the massage therapists. Did it ever strike you as
- 5:07odd man that when you were calling a massage therapist
- 5:10it was not a massage therapy business, Groff? No, I
- 5:14considered it like an independent contractor type of situation. Higgins. Okay.
- 5:19That's all my questions, thank you now, mister Biggs. Can
- 5:23I ask a question too, thank you. We've just talked
- 5:26about a number. I want to know was there a
- 5:28number of different massage therapists or was it one or
- 5:31two or the same one or how was that? Miss Groff?
- 5:36It changed throughout, you know, time, Sometimes it would be
- 5:38the same one and then other times was always directed
- 5:41by mister Epstein. Mister Biggs, That's what I wanted to
- 5:45ask you. Where did you get the name and number
- 5:48he provided those to you? Groff? That is correct, yes, Biggs?
- 5:52And was this was this a daily occurrence? Graf? It
- 5:55could be. I'm sure there were days that there were
- 5:57no massage Biggs. Okay, thank you, thank you very much,
- 6:01mister Emmer. Just to follow up, were the days that
- 6:04he would receive multiple massages? Groff? I don't believe. So.
- 6:08I've heard that, but I don't believe. I don't recall
- 6:11booking multiple massages. I can say if if one person
- 6:14was not available, he might provide me a different name
- 6:17and a phone number. But to me, it was one
- 6:20Toland and you scheduled. Did you schedule all of mister
- 6:23Epstein's massage appointments or were other individuals involved in this? Groff?
- 6:29I think other individuals were probably helping schedule as well,
- 6:33mister Tolan. Do you know who, Miss Groff? It could
- 6:36have been Sarah Kellen at the time, maybe redacted redacted,
- 6:39the administrative staff, Miss Brignac. So what was your role
- 6:44in scheduling massages? Miss Groff? I was his main secretary,
- 6:49but if I wasn't, if I was sick or if
- 6:51I was not there, you know, in the office for
- 6:54some reason vacation Tolan, Were you responsible for scheduling massages
- 6:59at specific residence of his or anywhere? Answer? It was
- 7:03mostly his home in New York City, that's you know
- 7:05where I would schedule. And did you ever schedule for
- 7:08his massages for his Palm Beach residents? Answer it's possible.
- 7:12Question any of the other residences. Answer it's possible. Question,
- 7:17And you've already touched on this a little bit. But
- 7:20how would you know who to schedule? Answer mister Epstein
- 7:23would direct me on who to call Brignac. Ask him
- 7:27question now how answer? Oh, he would call me and
- 7:30then he'd give me his twenty pages worth of notes
- 7:32to schedule for the day, and that would just be
- 7:35one of the things to schedule. Question can you describe
- 7:38what it would say? Answer? Well, he would call me
- 7:42and rattle off everything that he wanted to happen that
- 7:44day in the morning, nine am sharp, and it would
- 7:47just be one of the you know, schedule a meeting
- 7:49with you know, Leon Black, Schedule a meeting with mort Zuckerman.
- 7:53Here's a list of thirty people that I want you
- 7:55to call today. Make me a massage appointment with so
- 7:58and so and then on with you know, let's see
- 8:01if we can have lunch with so and so type
- 8:03of thing. Question Why would he give you the contact
- 8:06information for the individual he wanted for a massage? Answer yes,
- 8:11question to include what information? Answer name and phone number?
- 8:15Question and did you ever ask how he got this information?
- 8:18Answer no, Tolan. And then you would directly reach out
- 8:22to these women? Is that correct answer by Grof? Correct
- 8:26yes question? Or sometimes they would reach out to you
- 8:29I think you mentioned earlier. Answer that's correct. Question. How
- 8:33frequently would they reach out to you? Answer how frequently?
- 8:36If he was? She gets cut off by backner. Can
- 8:41you please keep your voice up, Groff, keep my voice up.
- 8:44I would say it happened, you know, if he was
- 8:46in town and a messeuse new, they might call, you know,
- 8:49once a week, twice a week to see if you
- 8:51would see them Timmins and quick question so pre jel.
- 8:56It seemed that Glenn Maxwell did a lot of the
- 8:58finding of the massage therapists and a lot of the coordination.
- 9:02After that, it was more structured and there were different
- 9:04people that were finding of age women all over the planet.
- 9:08Eastern Europe and whatnot. You have a number of emails
- 9:11where you're communicating with people to introduce very young but
- 9:14of age girls to mister Epstein. Did you think that
- 9:17was strange? Including photos of beautiful women saying these are
- 9:21two people I think you'd like them, and then you'd
- 9:24facilitate the introduction one. Did that occur often? Groff? It
- 9:30did occur. Mister Epstein always wanted to widen his rolodectes
- 9:33of people. He always wanted to meet people, and it
- 9:36was not just when it came to women, when it
- 9:38came to men as well, and the scientists and the professors.
- 9:41He oftentimes said, if you know someone that you think
- 9:45I would enjoy meeting and you think are smart, please
- 9:48bring them along. It was just kind of what he did, Timmins.
- 9:52So it's not unusual for someone to email you and say,
- 9:55this is a twenty one year old from Ukraine and
- 9:57she's very beautiful. Here are some photos we think that
- 9:59Jef if we would like her, and then she would
- 10:02send you the email to you and you would then
- 10:05take that email to mister Epstein and say this person's
- 10:08end this and you would say do you want to
- 10:10meet this person? That's normal, Miss Groff. That's correct. He
- 10:14was involved with a lot of modeling agencies and he
- 10:16was just a connector. Timmins okay. In retrospect, the other
- 10:21seven or eight people that he referred to as assistants,
- 10:24you're aware that they're victims of sex trafficking and human trafficking,
- 10:28Miss Groff, I'm aware that they're saying they're victims now,
- 10:32Timmins okay. I mean they've been deemed victims by multiple
- 10:35federal courts mediations. They've received hundreds of millions of dollars
- 10:40of settlements. Wouitcom? Are you asking her awareness now, Sir Timmins, Yeah?
- 10:46Are you aware currently that that's the case, Graff? I am,
- 10:50Timmins okay. In retrospect, do you think that all these
- 10:54other kinds of things go together. I mean, he's got
- 10:56girls come in from Eastern Europe and he's developing a
- 10:59system of control over eight people that work for him,
- 11:02and you're the right hand of that control. Would come
- 11:05just objection to the form you can answer, Timmins. Did
- 11:09you control the credit cards of the ed assistants? Graf?
- 11:13I did not, Timmins. Did you know the pin for
- 11:16their apartments? Did you control their apartments Graf, I did not.
- 11:20Mister Timmins, would you what if they said differently? Graf?
- 11:23I don't think they would Timmins, Okay, Miss Brygnac, ms Gross,
- 11:28you answered a question about massages with the fact that
- 11:31he was well connected to modeling agencies. Did you ever
- 11:34did he ever use a model as a massuse? Ms? Graff,
- 11:37I don't know, Toland. And can you estimate how many
- 11:40different messuses Epstein used? Graf, I don't know. Mister Biggs,
- 11:45would you say it was more than a dozen different messuses? Graf.
- 11:49I would say it was more than a dozen, mister Biggs,
- 11:52more than twenty? Graff? Twenty thirty over a time period,
- 11:56Mister Biggs. What time period are you thinking, Miss Groff?
- 11:59Two thousand and one to two thousand and seven. Mister Biggs,
- 12:02So during that six year period, you think maybe somewhere
- 12:05between twenty and thirty or is it more likely than thirty?
- 12:10Ms Groff? It sounds right, but I don't really know, Brignac.
- 12:14Question and what informed your opinion that he was well
- 12:17connected to modeling agencies? Answer? Well, his biggest client was
- 12:21Les Wexner, and I knew that he was friendly with
- 12:23other business owners faith kits of next modeling question, But
- 12:28he was well connected to lots of different influential people.
- 12:31Why do you per se he was well connected to
- 12:34modeling agencies, amongst very few others. What about the modeling
- 12:38agencies stands out to you? Answer? When I first got hired,
- 12:42there was a lot of talk about modeling and modeling
- 12:44agencies and less Wexner and that sort of thing. It
- 12:47was just known around the office. Question did you hear
- 12:51office gossip about how he would interact with these models? Answer? No,
- 12:56All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here,
- 12:58and in the next episode where going to pick up
- 13:00where we left off. All the information that goes with
- 13:03this episode can be found in the description box.
