- 0:00Speaker 1: Time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information
- 0:02Speaker 1: and Rich has life hacks. I like to start off
- 0:05Speaker 1: with something pretty interesting. We always talk about AI and
- 0:09Speaker 1: how bad it is.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Listen to this. AI researchers are taking up smoking. They're
- 0:17Speaker 1: smoking cigarettes.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Why?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Do you know why?
- 0:19Speaker 2: No.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Why?
- 0:23Speaker 1: This is crazy because they're so confident that AI is
- 0:26Speaker 1: going to cure cancer.
- 0:28Speaker 2: What?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Listen to this. This is true.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I think there's a profound truth to Pascal saying that
- 0:32Speaker 3: every human has a God-shaped hole in their heart. Many
- 0:35Speaker 3: of these folks in Silicon Valley who are building this
- 0:36Speaker 3: technology have filled that hole with the machine god of AGI.
- 0:41Speaker 3: So many AI researchers have started smoking as a way
- 0:44Speaker 3: of signaling to other researchers how much they believe in AI.
- 0:47Speaker 2: What? That makes no sense.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I believe so much.
- 0:50Speaker 3: In AI that it's going to cure cancer. So I'm
- 0:54Speaker 3: showing you my chips.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Are all in. Crazy, right?
- 0:57Speaker 2: That's a really interesting logic. And I wonder if they
- 1:00Speaker 2: know something about, because I was reading somewhere that either
- 1:03Speaker 2: Japan or China, they can like replace cells that are
- 1:07Speaker 2: cancer cells with AI generated cells, like just stick them
- 1:10Speaker 2: in there. So maybe they know something that we don't
- 1:12Speaker 2: know yet.
- 1:13Speaker 1: They do. They know that they're going to cure cancer.
- 1:15Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So here's a poll. People online asked, you are asked
- 1:20Speaker 1: to cross a large cemetery in the middle of the night.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:26Speaker 1: What do you take with you, Kyle? One thing. You
- 1:29Speaker 1: can take one thing with you. A cross. That's good.
- 1:33Speaker 1: That's good. 1% of people said they would do it
- 1:37Speaker 1: with a religious symbol, a cross or holy water. Holy water, yeah. Payne,
- 1:40Speaker 1: what would you take with you?
- 1:40Speaker 2: I was going to say holy water, but that was one.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You can't, but Kyle said it already.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So come up with something else.
- 1:47Speaker 2: What's the question again?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay, never mind. Rich, your turn.
- 1:48Speaker 2: A psychic that can get evil spirits off me. Oh,
- 1:50Speaker 2: a psychic, yeah. A friend.
- 1:51Speaker 1: A psychic. 17% of people said they would do it with...
- 1:55Speaker 1: Without anything. They would just do it. No big deal. 10%
- 1:58Speaker 1: said they would take a weapon. Oh, yeah. Most people
- 2:01Speaker 1: said they'd take a light, a flashlight, a headlamp, or
- 2:03Speaker 1: a torch.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Oh, a flashlight's a good choice.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Website called The Takeout defines boomer candy as candy that
- 2:11Speaker 1: stood the test of time. Snickers. So they came out
- 2:15Speaker 1: with a list of the top 10 boomer candies for Halloween.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Smarties.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Smarties number eight.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Snickers.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Like what Rich said.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Snickers.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Snickers.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's been around forever. What about bazooka gum?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Strawberry bonbons, beer barrels, cinnamon discs, butterscotch, starburst, cinnamon jawbreakers,
- 2:32Speaker 1: milk duds, Laffy Taffy, and the number one boomer candy
- 2:35Speaker 1: is Werther's original.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, the caramel Werther's. Those are good.
- 2:42Speaker 1: There's a company that has developed a new allergy-free peanut butter, okay?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Because you always hear about people with allergies, peanut butter, right?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Which they want to get on shelves next year. But
- 2:51Speaker 1: it's not intended for people with allergies because they can't
- 2:53Speaker 1: guarantee it's safe to eat.
- 2:56Speaker 2: They contain peanuts.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So is that one of those things like we talked
- 2:59Speaker 2: about how non-alcoholic beer.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Actually has alcohol in it? Oh, yeah. All right. Now
- 3:04Speaker 1: think about this. I think we've talked about a good
- 3:06Speaker 1: cure for hiccups probably in hacks, life hacks, right?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Many times. Many different cures.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Do you guys know what the best cure for hiccups is?
- 3:12Speaker 2: What?
- 3:12Speaker 1: The best cure.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Holding your breath and swallowing.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Nope. That's a good one. But before I give you
- 3:18Speaker 1: the answer, would you guys be willing to try it? Sure.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You have to get up. We have to, we'd have
- 3:22Speaker 1: to go in pairs though. So pick, pick a partner.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'll go with Peyton.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Okay. All right, Kyle. So then when we do this, Kyle,
- 3:29Speaker 1: then you, you do it to me or I do
- 3:31Speaker 1: it to you. What do you want to do?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Whatever, whatever.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I don't know what it is.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So you pick.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But you pick.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I'll do it to you.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I love that. That's exactly what I want. The most
- 3:39Speaker 1: effective cure for hiccups, according to doctors, is inserting a
- 3:42Speaker 1: finger into the rectum. Oh, my gosh. I don't want
- 3:45Speaker 1: to play. Don't take it back. You can't take it back. No.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Can I wear a glove?
- 3:50Speaker 2: We're going to go.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Into a song right now. We'll be right back.
- 3:52Speaker 2: We'll be right back. We'll be right back.
- 3:57Speaker 1: What do you got for life, Hector?
- 4:04Speaker 2: Oh, no. Uh, have you guys heard of pumpkin CPR?
- 4:07Speaker 2: It's a thing that's, uh, trending online. Like when you
- 4:10Speaker 2: carve your pumpkin a little bit too early and then
- 4:12Speaker 2: you set it out and then it starts to get
- 4:14Speaker 2: a little wilty. Oh, it gets all rotted and nasty.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Not rotted. I'm talking just a little wilty right around,
- 4:20Speaker 2: you know, the time that you want it to be
- 4:22Speaker 2: looking sharp. So you can try this and it works.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Fill a cooler or a tub, I guess, with cold water,
- 4:29Speaker 2: add a little bit of ice and give that little
- 4:31Speaker 2: sad pumpkin a 20 to 30 minute soak. Because your
- 4:35Speaker 2: pumpkin's just dehydrated. The water can actually help plump it
- 4:39Speaker 2: all back up. Now, it's not going to save a
- 4:41Speaker 2: rotten pumpkin like, you know, Peyton was talking about. But
- 4:44Speaker 2: it will revive a wilted one. So carve it. Carve
- 4:48Speaker 2: it early. And when it gets a little wrinkly, stick
- 4:51Speaker 2: it inside. It's like a little moisturizer.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It's like what Peyton's family does with a Christmas tree.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Throw it in the pool.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Throw it in the pool so it stays, yeah. Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 2: there you go. Stays hydrated. That life hack and many
- 5:00Speaker 2: more can be found at johnjainrich.com.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
