THIS Is What To EXPECT in the SILVER Market!! · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

Mr. and Mrs. Silver Investor, are you feeling a little
• 0:04
battered, a little beat up from what you've been through over
• 0:07
the last number of years, maybe even the last number of decades?
• 0:12
But is there reason for optimism?
• 0:15
Hey, look, you're not alone. It's been a soul crushing period
• 0:19
for anyone invested in the shiny white metal.
• 0:23
But do we have reason for optimism?
• 0:26
I believe we do. We're going to listen to what
• 0:28
Phillips Baker, the CEO of Hekla Mining, has to say about the
• 0:33
future demand for silver, and it gets even more interesting when
• 0:40
we recognize the fact that there could be a marginal source of
• 0:44
demand for silver that could send the price skyrocketing.
• 0:49
I want to share that with you as well.
• 0:51
But like Mr. Phillips Baker says, nobody's going to be
• 0:55
melting down their grandma's silver tea set at $35 silver.
• 1:00
Let's dig into this fascinating information, you and me right
• 1:05
now. I have some news for you.
• 1:10
If you are still watching right now, congratulations, You are of
• 1:15
above average intelligence. That's according to all the
• 1:19
analytic information that I get. Yes, you have a little more
• 1:22
intellectual horsepower than the average bear.
• 1:25
They're off watching Roadrunner cartoons or something like that.
• 1:28

• 1:34
thumbs up, that really helps as well.
• 1:37
This comes from our friend Neils at Kitco saying that investment
• 1:41
demand in silver has been fairly disappointing throughout most of
• 1:46
2023. More on that later guys.
• 1:48
That's actually a good thing. However, one mining executive
• 1:53
said that this is not the segment of the market investors
• 1:57
should be paying attention to. In an interview with Kitco News
• 2:01
on the sidelines of the London Bullion Market Association 2023
• 2:07
Global Precious Metals Conference, Phillips Baker, CEO
• 2:11
of Heckler Mining, said that investors need to pay attention
• 2:14
to industrial demand and the solar power sector continues to
• 2:20
consume a massive amount of the precious metal.
• 2:24
We've all heard that, but come on Phillips, do we have any real
• 2:28
  hard data? He says.
• 2:30
Quote, right now, ETF demand is the sideshow.
• 2:34
That's investor demand. Silver's use in photovoltaic
• 2:38
solar panels is going to drive silver silver prices higher, he
• 2:42
said. This is not an issue that will
• 2:45
be going away anytime soon. The need for photovoltaic solar
• 2:50
panels will drive demand for the next decade.
• 2:55
According to data from the Silver Institute, in the last
• 2:58
decade silver demand has grown by 150%.
• 3:03
Last year, 140 million ounces of silver was used in solar panels.
• 3:10
You know that there's 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce.
• 3:12
There's all types of conflicting reports in terms of how much
• 3:16
silver is in a solar panel, but one thing we know for sure,
• 3:19
there is solar silver. You know what I'm trying to say?
• 3:23
Silver and solar panels. I'm not even going to cut that
• 3:26
out, but there's also this idea that the next generation of
• 3:31
solar panels will use even more silver, But none the less, we
• 3:36
know that last year, like I said, 140 million ounces of
• 3:40
silver were used in solar panels.
• 3:43
There are expectations that 160 million oz will be used in solar
• 3:49
panels this year, and that's a 28% increase from last year. 28
• 3:57
Almost 30% increase year over year in the amount of silver
• 4:03
used in solar panels. 160 million oz.
• 4:07
The entire mining sector, everything in the world, only
• 4:11
produces 850 million. If you're looking to buy gold,
• 4:15
silver, or platinum, do yourself a favor and check out Pimbex,
• 4:20
the online precious metals bullion dealer and sponsor of
• 4:24
Rons Basement. I was a happy customer before
• 4:27
they offered to support the channel.
• 4:29
You'll find they have the best prices, quality, and service.
• 4:34
I think Pembex is best and you will too.
• 4:37
And be sure to tell him that you're from Ron's basement.
• 4:40
That represents almost 20% of the world's silver output this
• 4:45
year being consumed by solar panels, and that is projected to
• 4:51
grow even further. Gets even more interesting when
• 4:55
we consider better that according to forecast from the
• 4:57
International Energy Agency, also known as the IEA, solar
• 5:03
power production is expected to surpass coal power production by
• 5:09
the year 2027. The demand for silver continues
• 5:13
to grow, but there's a kicker that I'm going to tell you at
• 5:16
the end Again, that could be that marginal source of demand
• 5:20
that could really send the silver prices skyrocketed.
• 5:24
Mr. Baker noted that hecklers Green Creek operation, the
• 5:28
largest silver mine in the United States and the 11th
• 5:32
largest in the world, produces 10 million ounces of silver per
• 5:37
year. He added that at the current
• 5:39
pace of consumption, the world would need at least two or three
• 5:43
new mines that size to meet the man just for the solar sector.
• 5:49
Just for the solar sector. And we've talked about this ad
• 5:54
nauseam. I've talked to other silver
• 5:57
mining industry CE OS, and I've heard them all say the same
• 6:01
thing. Finding and developing a new
• 6:05
silver mine is darn near impossible.
• 6:08
Why do you think most of the silver companies pivoted to
• 6:12
producing gold over the last 10 years?
• 6:15
Guys, the supply of silver is dwindling and add on top of that
• 6:20
  Mexico. The political and social
• 6:22
situation in Mexico has unfortunately turned Mexico from
• 6:27
being one of the most favorable places to build and operate a
• 6:31
silver mine to one that is offering multiple, multiple
• 6:35
challenges. And remember, 30% of the world
• 6:40
silver comes from Mexico as well.
• 6:42
But back to Mr. Baker. He said that the silver needed
• 6:45
to meet growing industrial demand will have to come from
• 6:49
above ground stocks. Yeah, that might be the silver
• 6:53
that you've got hidden in your closet.
• 6:55
However, he added that higher prices will be needed before
• 7:00
this supply comes on to market. Quote, you're not going to go
• 7:04
and melt grandmother's silver tea service at $35.00 an ounce.
• 7:10
And I think I don't know how you feel about this, but if you do
• 7:14
own some silver like me, I'm not going to part with it most
• 7:18
likely at any price. I think a lot of the silver
• 7:21
stackers, silver investors out there aren't looking for a quick
• 7:26
flip, especially the ones that have held on this long.
• 7:30
You know, the long term thesis, the long term story behind why
• 7:34
silver prices should be much higher.
• 7:37
Yeah, maybe if it gets to 70 or $80.00 in this current economic
• 7:41
environment, people might be willing to sell, but I don't see
• 7:45
a big wave of sellers until the prices get exponentially higher
• 7:51
from where they are right now, he said.
• 7:53
In this environment of rising demand and limited or reluctant
• 7:58
supply, I like that reluctant supply for silver.
• 8:02
Baker said he is optimistic that silver prices will continue to
• 8:07
increase. He added at some point investors
• 8:11
will not be able to ignore the fundamental supply and demand
• 8:16
imbalance. And don't forget, I got a kicker
• 8:19
for you at the end, that little piece of information that could
• 8:23
be the rocket fuel to catalyze much higher silver prices.
• 8:28
Analysts have noted that silver's investment allure has
• 8:31
been diminished on 2 fronts, monetary and metal and
• 8:35
industrial. Baker said that he sees these
• 8:38
two factors as short term obstacles.
• 8:42
He noted that silver remains an important monetary metal and
• 8:46
will prove to be an effective hedge against inflation.
• 8:51
At the same time, Baker said that the green energy transition
• 8:54
and the need for renewable, renewable energy could make
• 8:58
silver recession proof. He noted that the government
• 9:02
could once again target the green energy sector as a way to
• 9:06
protect the economy from a recession from which silver
• 9:10
would benefit. So the future looks bright for
• 9:13
  silver. But wait, there's more.
• 9:15
There's a little kicker. Remember at the beginning of
• 9:19
this video, this little conversation you and I are
• 9:22
having right now, we talked about the fact that investor
• 9:25
demand has been down, down, down.
• 9:29
What do you think when the industrial demand, when the
• 9:31
solar demand does drive the price of silver up to let's say
• 9:36
30 or $35.00 an ounce and the story gets out.
• 9:40
It's more than people just like you and me who know the reality
• 9:44
of what's going on. Then we could see an inflow.
• 9:48
Imagine that, an actual inflow of money into things like the
• 9:53
silver ETFs, which would be that little marginal spark, that
• 9:58
catalyst that could move the prices much, much higher.
• 10:02
Don't forget, guys, the silver market is tiny.
• 10:05
What, like $20 billion worth of silver is mine per year, a
• 10:10
billion oz. At roughly $20 per oz, it's not
• 10:13
going to take a big jump in demand.
• 10:16
And remember, over the last few years we've had investor demand
• 10:21
going down in the West. If that just stabilizes or even
• 10:26
starts to go up, well, we could find ourselves like our our
• 10:29
friends in the East who know the true value of the metals and who
• 10:33
are crying for more silver because industry and investors
• 10:38
are demanding it. I think we could be in for a
• 10:41
really fun, wild ride with the silver price.
• 10:45
It's going to be, it's going to be fun to watch.
• 10:47
It'll be interesting to watch, you know.
• 10:49
I'll be here for you every step of the way.
• 10:51
Thanks for joining me in the basement and I'll see you soon.
• 10:54
First, Mining Gold is a development company advancing 2
• 10:58
of the largest. Gold projects in Canada, Spring
• 11:01
Pole in Ontario and Du Parquet located in Quebec.
• 11:05
Each already has. 5 million ounces of gold reserves but.
• 11:10
Exploration initiatives are underway at both projects to
• 11:13
find even more gold. First, mining is well financed,
• 11:18
has zero debt and owns an interest in four additional
• 11:22
  Canadian Gold development projects.
