- 0:08Well, that didn't work as planned, but we're live.
- 0:12Here we go.
- 0:12I was like, that wasn't as climatic as I thought it was going to be.
- 0:18Yeah, that did not go well.
- 0:21Here we are, first year, guys.
- 0:23Yay.
- 0:24Are we missing the tunes?
- 0:25What are we missing, the tunes?
- 0:27There's a narration.
- 0:28There's tunes.
- 0:29There's graphic stuff that moves around.
- 0:33And none of it showed up.
- 0:36Y'all got the quick little boop, so it's all good.
- 0:40Well, happy new year.
- 0:41Happy birthday.
- 0:42Your birthday was a couple days ago, right?
- 0:45Yesterday.
- 0:46Yesterday.
- 0:46I forgot.
- 0:47I forgot to wish you a happy birthday.
- 0:49I'm so sorry.
- 0:50You texted me.
- 0:52I did text you?
- 0:52I can't remember.
- 0:54Or some other guy named Scott, and I just happened to get it.
- 0:57okay see this is my life i i'm so in this hamster wheel right now that i can't remember what i did when so um oh i did text you i did text you i forgot and then you didn't respond but i understood you're like i'm taking some time with my family that's all good um yeah i was really i was trying to get rid of screens for a while yeah just kind of detox and yeah
- 1:21You know, it's been a very weird change of season.
- 1:24And, you know, these people know us.
- 1:26So I'm going to, like, C4 left us as a sponsor.
- 1:30There's a lot that goes into that and the changes.
- 1:34Just every show needed changed.
- 1:36Like, a new opening, a new everything.
- 1:39And it's just been a lot of, like, weird stress.
- 1:43Not, like, normal stress.
- 1:44Yeah.
- 1:46I feel like if you only knew how parallel our lives are right now, and I will have to put you in on that off air, uh, but definitely crazy stress for me.
- 1:58And it's been, so I feel ya.
- 2:01And I filled the listeners in a little bit on my, I started my own podcast, uh, series, Scott.
- 2:08Um, I called it the gains train.
- 2:11It's coach Cheryl's journey to gaining a little weight.
- 2:15getting a little muscle muscles, the gains train.
- 2:20So I started that, but I wanted to just quickly share that with you, but I shared a little bit of all my stuff.
- 2:25So, um, so Jeremy Flatter asks, how old are you, Scott?
- 2:30Since you disclosed your weight, I don't feel age is too personal.
- 2:34I am 54 years old.
- 2:35Heck yeah.
- 2:37Yeah.
- 2:38So almost 55, 55 is senior citizen, right?
- 2:43Is that what they call senior citizen?
- 2:48that's when you can get into like the 55 and up clubs.
- 2:52Right.
- 2:52Are there such a thing?
- 2:53I thought that was 65.
- 2:55I'm pretty sure it was like there's 55 and up communities.
- 2:58So, but, uh, good.
- 3:00Uh, Lex, thank you for listening to my podcast.
- 3:02I'm going to be honest.
- 3:03I feel very vulnerable with my podcast that I'm doing right now, but it's, it's important for people to see the other side of things.
- 3:09So I'm, I'm happy for that.
- 3:13When you talk to, geriatric, the nice thing is at 55, you can't get into some certain communities where it's only 55 and up.
- 3:24No crazy teenagers taking over the pool.
- 3:27Listen, before we get into your journey, my first job, believe it or not, I worked at Burger King.
- 3:34That was my very first job.
- 3:35You have no idea.
- 3:42the senior citizens that would come in for their senior coffee.
- 3:47And they, if they didn't get their senior discount, they were like livid because they would get like 29 cent coffee.
- 3:53And it was 55 up.
- 3:54Anybody over 55 senior coffee.
- 3:57And they got a senior discount on all of the, all of their sandwiches.
- 4:01Like it was just, did you give me the senior discount?
- 4:04Like it was just, they were entitled to that fricking senior coffee.
- 4:08But anyway,
- 4:09Just brings you back.
- 4:12One of my first jobs was Wendy's here in Columbus and, uh, in Ohio, we have the golden Buckeye card.
- 4:22And people would hand you the golden Buckeye card wanting their senior discount on the, on the Wendy's.
- 4:27Yeah.
- 4:28But enough of that.
- 4:29When you call, when you texted me and said you want to do this other show, like I was so excited because I, I do think you need to do it.
- 4:37I do think it's good for you.
- 4:39And I do think it's good for people to hear.
- 4:41Yeah.
- 4:41So I'm so glad that you have decided to do.
- 4:44Yeah.
- 4:46It's a, it's starting off a little rocky, but we're, we're getting there.
- 4:49So yeah.
- 4:50We're doing the thing.
- 4:51We're doing the thing.
- 4:52And I actually am doing my own accountability on member.
- 4:54You know, you had to do the same thing with your post, your macros on Instagram.
- 4:57I'm doing the same thing this week.
- 4:59My macros have been on Instagram the past two days.
- 5:01I'm going to keep it up.
- 5:02So, but this is Scott's journey.
- 5:06And I want a little bit of a little recap, how your holiday season feel like you finish it up.
- 5:13And we'll start to kind of talk about some changes going into the new year.
- 5:19So I think I overestimated how easy it was going to be to track and do all the things.
- 5:28Because even though it was a weird holiday season for us, it was a weird holiday season for us.
- 5:35And being empty nesters and no kid for the first time did take its toll on us and how...
- 5:44things went.
- 5:46And so I did not track like I expected I would.
- 5:50And I'm anxious to get back to a schedule because tomorrow's my first day back to work after the holidays.
- 6:01And as much as I hate my job, it does give me this schedule thing that allows me to like track my food and do the things that I normally do a lot easier than the freewheeling no job days.
- 6:16Yep.
- 6:18I agree.
- 6:19Structure creates freedom.
- 6:22I love that saying.
- 6:23It really is true.
- 6:25The more structured you are, the more free you are.
- 6:28Because now when you have all that stuff that's just planned out, you can really work towards your goals and also have space for other things.
- 6:39You're just back to your routine again.
- 6:41So I'm excited for you to get back into routine.
- 6:44So I think that...
- 6:46I already kind of expected, I'll be honest, as your nutrition coach, I kind of expected and I'm okay with the holiday season being the way it was.
- 6:57I think that for me, it's like, where are we at right now?
- 7:01Where are we going?
- 7:02And as I told you that I wanted you, I told you that what I wanted to title this week, because I wasn't sure what she had to bring to the table, but I know what I had to bring to the table is nutrition.
- 7:12Um, we've been going at this journey and we're chipping away at it.
- 7:16Have you weighed yourself since the holidays and all that?
- 7:18I have not.
- 7:20Okay.
- 7:20So we're going to get away in this week.
- 7:22Not yet, obviously, whenever you get back on the scale.
- 7:25But I wanted you to title this planning for the home stretch, right?
- 7:28Because we've been pretty consistent with you attacking your goals.
- 7:33And we lost pretty close to your 100 pounds in that year.
- 7:39And now we've kind of been in maintenance mode now.
- 7:42We're still seeing a little bit of change, but kind of in maintenance mode since I got to pull up your trainer eyes now where we were.
- 7:50You know, I think we've been around between 290 and 300 has kind of been our little bit of a, that's been like the last call it four months.
- 7:59Right.
- 7:59About that.
- 8:00Let me just pull it up for you.
- 8:02We dipped under 290 a little bit.
- 8:04Yeah.
- 8:04So we're, we're just under 290 now.
- 8:06Right.
- 8:07Yeah.
- 8:08Okay.
- 8:08So we've been 289.
- 8:14Before that 293.
- 8:14So yeah, so we've actually been making pretty good progress is what I'm saying.
- 8:18So, you know, since, yeah, so 298 was September.
- 8:24So we've lost about 10 pounds since September.
- 8:27That's pretty good considering the holidays, the travel you've done.
- 8:33And that's why I wanted to title this planning for the home stretch.
- 8:37So before you get to that, Larry Young put in that personally scared of the scale right now.
- 8:43Oh, that doesn't surprise me.
- 8:45That doesn't surprise me.
- 8:47Larry, you should reach out to me, dude.
- 8:48We haven't talked in a while.
- 8:49And I just realized you changed your name.
- 8:51He used to be like L-D-Y with numbers.
- 8:54That's who that used to be, just so you know.
- 8:57Anyways, so I feel like when you set a goal, you attack it.
- 9:03And
- 9:04We set a goal in 2022 to lose 100 pounds before 2023 games.
- 9:09We did a great job of that, okay?
- 9:11You don't have another 100 pounds to lose.
- 9:13You have less than 100 pounds to lose.
- 9:16So I think that this year, as much as we're focusing on other areas of your health,
- 9:22because now we're at a place where you are getting to where like we can start to dial things in and focus on other things.
- 9:30It's time for us to plan for the home stretch.
- 9:32Like let's make this your year where you no longer have to, you're going into 2025, no longer having to lose weight.
- 9:41That's my goal for this year.
- 9:43How do you feel about that?
- 9:46Well, I would love that.
- 9:50No more scale chasing after this year.
- 9:53I would love that.
- 9:55I think it's the goal.
- 9:57Okay.
- 9:58I think it's the goal because if you lost another, what, 50 pounds, 70, 60 pounds, when's that?
- 10:07What's the, what's the lowest weight you've ever gotten to in my, in my late geriatric says Lex adult life.
- 10:15Yeah.
- 10:16Uh, I got to two 60.
- 10:19Yeah.
- 10:20Yeah, so shit, you've never even seen yourself at that weight.
- 10:25How tall are you again, 5'10", 5'11"?
- 10:27Yeah, right around there.
- 10:30So I think that getting you down there, and we could reassess, but I think that that's probably going to be considerable weight.
- 10:41And at that point, I know that there's going to be other concerns that aren't necessarily fat.
- 10:47This is where obviously you're going to have, it's your weight loss journey, but you're going to have the excess skin stuff.
- 10:54And at that point, that might become a medical necessity for you.
- 10:58There's things that you can also look at down the road.
- 11:02But I think that this is the year for you to freaking hammer the nail in and let's do it.
- 11:11That's my goal.
- 11:13That sounds great.
- 11:15It sounds great.
- 11:16It sounds awesome.
- 11:18Everybody signs up.
- 11:19Everybody signs up in the beginning.
- 11:21But it's like you're already made so much progress.
- 11:26Now it's just like we got to hammer it down.
- 11:30So travel wise, you know, we don't have any travel coming up.
- 11:35Oh God, Corey, man, that's, that's, that's like serial killer stuff right there.
- 11:40She's that's the stuff that you don't, you don't talk about.
- 11:42I'm just kidding.
- 11:44Um, but, uh, travel wise, you've got semifinals likely.
- 11:49Um, but that's not until may doing any other traveling.
- 11:57So that's the thing.
- 11:59Everything is up in the air with sponsorships, right?
- 12:02Right.
- 12:03If we get some sponsors for the show, we'll be able to go out on the road again.
- 12:07If not, not so much.
- 12:09But...
- 12:10There are some, I will say this, we are trending in the right direction that I'll be able to go to some places.
- 12:18And one of my listeners, who is an awesome person, reached out to me to help.
- 12:25And I'm actually going to reach out to him to see if we can set up a call soon to help with sponsorships.
- 12:32I love it.
- 12:34which just like almost made me cry that we have a listener so loyal that they're willing to pitch in and help was freaking like off the charts.
- 12:45Cool.
- 12:46That's awesome.
- 12:47So a couple of things that I feel like aside from travel that I want to kind of hammer down on.
- 12:54is obviously when do you go to your primary care provider for like your annual do you do you normally schedule that anytime so i'm coming off wild health because yeah that's gone too i've got to go back to a primary care probably going to make the call this week to set up something to get back in with him okay
- 13:14Okay.
- 13:14So I kind of want to like look at this year as your health journey, right?
- 13:19Weight loss journey, health journey.
- 13:21We'll figure out PCP.
- 13:22We'll look at your blood levels, see where everything is.
- 13:25Thyroid, vitamin D, you know, all that stuff.
- 13:29Insulin, your blood sugar, which I'm sure probably all that has improved dramatically.
- 13:34Cholesterol, anything like that, right?
- 13:38And then let's really start to look at
- 13:42Data aside from I want to see more.
- 13:48So I want to have not we don't have to do weekly photos, but I think that we should be doing monthly photos.
- 13:54And I want to start this week with you updating your photos in the app for me, because I was trying to look at that.
- 14:01Right.
- 14:02And I don't have when we first started, you know, and I'm like, I don't like to make people take photos because I feel like.
- 14:11It is an uncomfortable thing.
- 14:12I'm taking photos right now, and I'm posting that on YouTube.
- 14:16But it's not comfortable to take photos of yourself.
- 14:18It's like, I don't have to do that.
- 14:20But if we're only focusing on the scale, we're not focusing on how we look, and we're not focusing on the other stuff that I'm talking about, like talking to your PCP, we're missing huge opportunities for you to optimize everything and to make sure that we're seeing the changes too.
- 14:35So I want to start by getting some more photos.
- 14:38The last photos that I have from you, believe it or not, are from March of this year, of last year, I should say.
- 14:46And I want to have photos in there like your starting photos.
- 14:51And nobody on here has to see those.
- 14:53You can feel free to share them with anybody.
- 14:56But I want you to start taking photos again on a monthly basis so we can start to compare.
- 15:01and see the transformation a little bit this year.
- 15:04Final year, let's do that on a monthly basis.
- 15:06So that's one commitment for you.
- 15:08So I'll make sure that in your trainerized dashboard, which is the software guys that I use for his stuff, I'm going to put a reminder for you to take photos and we'll do it.
- 15:20I'm going to put it in for yesterday.
- 15:22So it'll go like at the first of every month.
- 15:27But we can do that.
- 15:28I'm going to put every first week on Sunday, every four weeks.
- 15:38So we'll do that.
- 15:39How's that sound?
- 15:42Sounds just like LDY2742 says.
- 15:44Yeah.
- 15:44We can do it.
- 15:48All right, we can do it.
- 15:49So we're going to do, so see, he changed.
- 15:52That's Larry again.
- 15:54He, see, he didn't like me calling him.
- 15:55See, I'm telling you, it's the same guy.
- 15:56I think it is at least.
- 15:58Um, but yeah, so that's what we'll do.
- 16:00We'll, we'll do photos.
- 16:02Um, we'll figure out from your PCP where your blood levels are at just to kind of see things.
- 16:08How's your sinuses been?
- 16:13I think I said last time we did the show, the sinus doctor came in and saw the remnants of this virus that's going around.
- 16:26That has been rough.
- 16:28I will tell you...
- 16:31I thought I was getting over it when we had the show, it took me another week to like, be able to really work out.
- 16:38And I, and I feel like I'm building a cardio base from scratch again.
- 16:42Yeah.
- 16:44Well, I feel like your workouts have been pretty inconsistent for the last couple of months in terms of, I think you've been getting them in the garage, but your normal routine Polaris schedule hasn't been as routine.
- 16:59Um,
- 17:01I it's just hit or miss for me because things have gotten crazy at work.
- 17:06Yeah.
- 17:06So I don't have the, I don't have this consistent schedule on my day job to make it to Polaris every day.
- 17:12Yeah.
- 17:13So I just go, I go every day I can.
- 17:17And then the days I can't, I supplement with the garage or basement now.
- 17:22Yep.
- 17:22Yep.
- 17:23Okay.
- 17:24So you're getting a workout in every day, just not ideal.
- 17:27Correct.
- 17:27Yeah.
- 17:28Yeah.
- 17:28Good.
- 17:29Um, I just want to comment Jody Lynn, um, put, she's going to take her first vote and wait the photos and wait.
- 17:37Uh, and I love that Jody, you should definitely join my webinar next week.
- 17:41If you haven't already signed up for it, anybody that wants to join my webinar next week, I'm doing a webinar next Monday, 4 PM Eastern time.
- 17:47I'm going to go over simplifying macros, obviously the things people do wrong.
- 17:53making it easier for people that literally just feel like the macro Tetris, like remember Scott, when you first started, how you thought you had to be like to the gram, like removing all of that and just showing people the benefits of it and all that stuff.
- 18:06So just a little plug for that.
- 18:07And Jodi, I'm happy that you're doing that stuff.
- 18:09So, um, Lex said she would love to see you back in Polaris at the community, at least a couple of times a week.
- 18:18You are though.
- 18:18You're going to, how many times a week are you going?
- 18:21It's at least two.
- 18:21Okay.
- 18:23Um, but it's, it's the weird days like Tuesdays and Thursdays is usually when I can go.
- 18:28Yeah.
- 18:29Um, which isn't like the, it isn't the consistent crowd.
- 18:33Um, but yeah, like I think like two of my projects are done, so I think it's going to lighten up.
- 18:42Good.
- 18:43And here's what I'm going to also say to what Lex is saying too is, um,
- 18:47I have been forcing myself to go more to the gym rather than just working out in my garage.
- 18:55And it's not about the intensity.
- 18:57But if you're somebody that struggles with isolating and getting overwhelmed or any of those things, even depression, I just find that getting out of your work and the busyness
- 19:14And just getting out in that community does just make you feel better.
- 19:18And for me, even if I'm not doing the same thing as everybody else that's there is doing it, but just being in that environment around other people just kind of is a good thing.
- 19:27And I know you know that because when you're at the gym, you likely feel really good.
- 19:30So I do agree that getting back into the gym when you can should be also helpful.
- 19:37But yeah, I want to speak to this one.
- 19:39So Kenneth says, I don't get the home gym shame.
- 19:42Honestly, Kenneth, I feel better when I'm at Polaris.
- 19:48My personality needs that.
- 19:51Yes.
- 19:53I look at home gym as my supplement.
- 19:56It is my, in case of emergency, break glass.
- 20:03Yeah.
- 20:03Polaris is my stay.
- 20:06That's where I need to be.
- 20:08Yeah, it really is a matter of like, everybody's different, right?
- 20:13CrossFit for people is different, you know?
- 20:16So CrossFit, in fact, you know, you listen to a lot of the pod, I've listened to, I don't remember which podcast I was listening to.
- 20:21It was one with like Bill Grundler, Pat Bellner.
- 20:27And they were talking about one of the questions, I think it might've been talking to Elite Fitness.
- 20:31I don't remember.
- 20:32They talked about like, what is the, is it the community or is it the competition that brings people?
- 20:38Or is it like the workouts?
- 20:39And I think it is the community.
- 20:41They need the community, you know, to kind of get out their social situation.
- 20:45So it is different for everybody.
- 20:47There's nothing wrong with working out in your garage.
- 20:49In fact, I can work out.
- 20:51I don't have to go to the gym.
- 20:53I could be perfectly fit working out at home.
- 20:55But as I mentioned, if you're somebody that doesn't get out much, you know, you're kind of in your own devices, it can be a great place to just kind of kill two birds with one stone.
- 21:05You get a workout in and you get to connect with some people.
- 21:08So, but yeah.
- 21:11So was it on Pedro's?
- 21:12Yes, it was.
- 21:13That's right.
- 21:13The coffee pods guy.
- 21:15That's coffee pods.
- 21:17That's who I saw it on, listened to it on.
- 21:19Okay.
- 21:19So...
- 21:22Our focus this year is we're taking some progress photos.
- 21:25So we're looking at something besides our scale.
- 21:28We're doing a good job on the biofeedback.
- 21:29We're going to get some updated labs so we can kind of see where things are at.
- 21:32So before you go to your PCP, I'll probably give you a couple of things like, hey, have him check these things out too because he's probably not going to do
- 21:41as extensive as a lab test as wild health will do.
- 21:45So if you're getting it covered by insurance, you better go ahead and ask for the things that you're going to need.
- 21:50It's going to help me optimize things.
- 21:53But let's talk about this week.
- 21:55This week is back to routine, back to being on your own thing.
- 21:59And I see Lex's comments, so we can address that in a second.
- 22:01But
- 22:04Your goals this week.
- 22:05All right.
- 22:06Let's actually get you some specifics.
- 22:09All right.
- 22:10So yes, you're tracking your food.
- 22:13You're getting in five to six workouts a day, a week right now, five workouts.
- 22:17Okay.
- 22:20So, and your movement and all that kinds of stuff right now in the winter time, isn't super, are you walking your dog?
- 22:31Yes.
- 22:32He still needs walked.
- 22:34Yeah.
- 22:34I will say it's probably not as long depending on the day, but we've been pretty lucky.
- 22:40We've only had like a handful of whole really cold spells.
- 22:44Okay.
- 22:46We've actually had some warmups.
- 22:49So it goes the way the weather goes, whether it's a couple of blocks or just a block.
- 22:56Got it.
- 22:56I'm just looking at where your calories are in the app and looking at, you know, about where you're at, like BMR wise and everything.
- 23:03I honestly think where your calories are in the app is good.
- 23:06I have you at 185 protein, 250 carbs and 80 fat.
- 23:1124 60 on calories i think that you know like we've always talked about this isn't about perfect macros for you especially with you needing the flexibility around dinner it's like hey did i get enough protein am i pretty close to my calorie range so i think the sweet spot for you is always somewhere between 21 and 2300
- 23:30with that occasional day or two where you might be a little over or a little bit under.
- 23:34So I think that the main focus this week is getting you back into consistency with tracking, but also like I want to be able to see what your food looks like.
- 23:44You know, like, hey, are you getting in some vegetables?
- 23:46Are you getting in, you know, like what kind of fiber count are you getting in?
- 23:49I want to start looking at all that stuff and really make this the year that we're like diving in, finishing up strong.
- 23:56So food journal, step number one, that's the first, that's the first, that's a barrier of entry this week.
- 24:02And log it on Instagram every night.
- 24:05I like that.
- 24:06Do it.
- 24:06I'm doing it right now.
- 24:08So, um, I just wanted to take a look at, uh, Lex's long comment there.
- 24:14I'll pull it up.
- 24:15Who's shaming that there's going back to, okay.
- 24:20But also there's people who do better intensity-wise and with other people and are more motivated around other people.
- 24:27So it helps.
- 24:27It aids not being alone in seasonal depression.
- 24:31And I think there's a lot to the seasonal depression for me.
- 24:35Oh, yes.
- 24:37You know, nobody's out in their front yards like when I'm walking Walter now.
- 24:42Like three months ago, I'd walk the neighborhood and I'd talk to 10 people.
- 24:49Now you don't get that.
- 24:51Right.
- 24:53Yeah.
- 24:53And I am an extrovert.
- 24:55I am an extrovert by nature.
- 24:56So being around people does help me.
- 24:59See, I'm, I'm, I'm like, I'm an, I'm an introverted extrovert or extroverted introvert.
- 25:07I don't know which one it is.
- 25:09I like, I like connection, but I gotta have recharge.
- 25:14I gotta like, I gotta have me time.
- 25:16Like,
- 25:16I think everybody does weird, you know, like what gives me my energy most of the time is hanging out with people.
- 25:23Yes.
- 25:24Agreed.
- 25:24Like that gives me my energy, but I do need like a day like today where it's just me clearing out the stuff from 2023, making up the new stuff for 2024 and so on.
- 25:36I love it.
- 25:37Yeah.
- 25:38Speaking of that, can I just make a quick little funny, funny event here?
- 25:43So I got this Christmas tree.
- 25:44All right.
- 25:46And it comes in a box and I didn't put the Christmas tree up because it was Thanksgiving.
- 25:52I'm like, Hey, I'm doing all the cooking.
- 25:54Why don't you guys put the Christmas tree up for me?
- 25:56So my brother and my mom put the Christmas tree up and I'm trying to take the Christmas tree down on last weekend.
- 26:04And I got it down.
- 26:07and how the hell this Christmas tree fits in this box at any point is beyond me.
- 26:16Like, it's like trying to squeeze
- 26:20a freaking baseball into a little peg hole.
- 26:24Like it just doesn't make any sense.
- 26:27I sat there for an hour before I said, you know what?
- 26:30I'm just going to throw it in my office for now until I figure it out.
- 26:33It just, even like the length of it doesn't seem like it'll fit.
- 26:38I don't get it.
- 26:38I just want to vent.
- 26:39Like the Christmas tree box is like, it doesn't make any sense.
- 26:43So it made me want to get a real tree next year.
- 26:48I agree with Jeremy got to go with the tree bag.
- 26:52Maybe I don't know.
- 26:54I thought but they packed it up.
- 26:55It was all nice and neat.
- 26:56I'm like, how does this thing fit in this box?
- 27:01I'm going to take a picture and put it on Instagram because there's just no way I just don't get it.
- 27:06I called my mom like, Mom, does this thing come apart in another piece?
- 27:10I don't know.
- 27:11So Jody Lynn says it's like a bar puzzle.
- 27:14It really is.
- 27:15It's ridiculous.
- 27:16It's like literally solving a Rubik's cube.
- 27:19And Corey says you can make anything fit with enough time and resolution.
- 27:24Yeah.
- 27:25I've known Cheryl for almost three years now.
- 27:28Maybe three years.
- 27:30Maybe two.
- 27:31I don't know.
- 27:32But anyway, the one thing I did learn, patience is not one of her main attributes.
- 27:40I have patience until I don't have patience.
- 27:43That's what it is.
- 27:44Like I was, I have patience and all of a sudden it's like, what just happened?
- 27:48Where did my time just go?
- 27:49Oh, holy shit.
- 27:50We got to get moving.
- 27:50We got to get things going.
- 27:53I just find that like days don't go smooth for me.
- 27:56But anyways, that's my little event about the Christmas tree.
- 27:59So just had to say that.
- 28:01All right.
- 28:02So we've got our focus for this week.
- 28:04I feel like we're in a good spot.
- 28:05Are you planning on signing up for the open this year?
- 28:09Probably.
- 28:10Yeah.
- 28:11I'm just curious.
- 28:13How are you feeling about engine work this month?
- 28:15You want to kind of like just table that for right now and just focus on.
- 28:18No, I need it so bad.
- 28:20All right, then let's do it.
- 28:23No, that it would, that it's important.
- 28:26Okay.
- 28:27So let's do the engine work.
- 28:28How many workouts do you, are you, are you, let me ask you this.
- 28:31Are you supplementing your normal workouts with the additional, or are you just using them?
- 28:35Are you going to use them throughout the week?
- 28:39Depends on how they make me feel.
- 28:41Okay.
- 28:41That's fine.
- 28:42I just, the reason I kind of worried sometime is because if you are going to Polaris daily and then I'm programming something that's like doubling up what they're already doing, I didn't want to crush you, but I'll, I'll program them as if you're doing them in your garage and you can just do them on days that you don't go to Polaris or additionally is fine.
- 28:58So I'll make sure that I do that.
- 29:00So you think three workouts a week?
- 29:04Uh, I like the two.
- 29:05Two.
- 29:06I like it too.
- 29:09Okay.
- 29:10We're going to get you fit, Scott.
- 29:14Our goal is to do Murph this year.
- 29:15Remember that.
- 29:17So we're going to, we're going to start off.
- 29:19I think, I think this month we'll do some conditioning, but we'll sprinkle in the pushups and the air squats too, because we want to maintain.
- 29:26And you've likely lost a little bit of endurance on both of those things last month.
- 29:30It will crush you.
- 29:32Come on, Kenneth.
- 29:33My goal is not crushing anybody.
- 29:36We're crushing previous beliefs and previous identities.
- 29:41And we're becoming somebody different.
- 29:43Oh, four rounds, 100 calorie row.
- 29:45That sounds horrible.
- 29:48Why?
- 29:48How do I delete someone from the comment?
- 29:51Say what?
- 29:52How do I delete someone from the comment?
- 29:55Oh, I don't know.
- 29:56There we go.
- 29:58Nobody needs his input.
- 29:59Yeah, that's horrible.
- 30:01That's horrible.
- 30:01That that's like, why is rowing for calories so much worse than rowing for meters?
- 30:08It just, it just feels different.
- 30:10It, you know, today my workout was a six minute max meter test on the rower.
- 30:17Oh, just anything like that just makes you feel like blah afterwards, like the 20 minute test I gave you.
- 30:25I know.
- 30:26So, but, uh, yeah.
- 30:29No, Kenneth, I think he meant 100-calorie row, but 1,000 meters also.
- 30:35Oh, yeah, I got it.
- 30:35Okay, Kenneth, haha, funny.
- 30:37I like that.
- 30:38See, over my head, Coach Cheryl didn't get the joke, and now she gets the joke.
- 30:42But all right, so I can't do MRF.
- 30:46Megan, you absolutely can and will do MRF.
- 30:49You will get a pull-up this year.
- 30:52Now that I know that, we're going to make that part of a priority for you as well.
- 30:56So we're going to make that happen.
- 30:58But all right.
- 30:59So I feel like this week we have some direction.
- 31:01So I think next week, maybe you can fill us in on when you are going to visit your doctor, um, take your progress photos, update your weight.
- 31:09So we have like a starting place for 2024.
- 31:12Um, and really we have quite a while until travel because even on the competition front, there really isn't much going on that you'd really be going to.
- 31:20There might be something crash, I think does something in the February maybe, but other than that, it's like the open.
- 31:28Right.
- 31:28Yeah.
- 31:29All in all travels on hold at the moment.
- 31:31That's what I'm saying.
- 31:33So you're not really doing any traveling.
- 31:34So you're, you're in good spots.
- 31:37Birthday's done.
- 31:37So yeah.
- 31:40Yeah.
- 31:42Well, cool.
- 31:44Well, as always, thank you everybody in the chat for hanging out.
- 31:48We love you guys to death.
- 31:50Your input inspires me every day.
- 31:52So thank you so much.
- 31:55And with that, we will catch everybody next time on Bites Tale Media Weight Loss Journey.
- 32:02Bye guys.
