- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hello mister Guinea, Hello Trista Sutter Nae Wren.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, can you please stop doing that?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Well, I get to say it again today, I get
- 0:14Speaker 2: to say Dean bell Ney Unglert. I even saw it
- 0:17Speaker 2: in the in the thing I read to day. It
- 0:18Speaker 2: was awesome. I'm like, hey, that's my thing. I always
- 0:23Speaker 2: say that about Trista. How have you been, Boddy? I
- 0:26Speaker 2: missed you.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Good. Life has been crazy. I can well worries he
- 0:33Speaker 1: Cooda is right in the background. I don't know if
- 0:36Speaker 1: you can see him glory, but I see something glory anyway.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Hobby life is like newborn life, you know. So it's
- 0:46Speaker 1: a lot of making sure that he is not chewing
- 0:49Speaker 1: on anything he shouldn't be.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I deal with that every day with Blake, right.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So yeah, it's a little crazy right now. So if
- 1:00Speaker 1: I seem distracted, that's what's going on because Ryan is
- 1:04Speaker 1: at work and the kids are at school.
- 1:06Speaker 2: So I understand I too. So I so my family.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We just got back from Mexico. We were on a
- 1:13Speaker 2: trip to Mexico. It was amazing, by the way, it
- 1:16Speaker 2: had a great time. Got home and then Canyon had
- 1:19Speaker 2: to hop on a plane to LA the very next day.
- 1:21Speaker 2: So I've been on daddy duty, uh, you know, with
- 1:24Speaker 2: very little assistants. And uh, both boys got sick, so
- 1:28Speaker 2: that's been Oh yeah, they're not there's a little headache,
- 1:33Speaker 2: little flush. So I'm just you know, trying to overly
- 1:37Speaker 2: hydrate them and you know, keeping an eye on the situation.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I watched a lot of er back in the day,
- 1:42Speaker 2: so I think I'm pretty good here. But yeah, yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 2: if I need a doctor's assistance, I'll just you know,
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'll give it to myself. I'll give myself. And I
- 1:48Speaker 2: stayed with the holiday in holiday and last night, so
- 1:50Speaker 2: I feel great. But yeah, no, it's going well, everything's great.
- 1:55Speaker 2: And you know I've missed I've missed my my co host,
- 1:58Speaker 2: my partner in crime. So I uh think you great
- 2:02Speaker 2: before you even say it. You look beautiful.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That yeah, you know, four finger forehead. I think I've
- 2:10Speaker 1: told you that story. Maybe it's a five finger forehead
- 2:12Speaker 1: now because maybe it's feeding.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I don't know. That was Ryan's version of a compliment once,
- 2:19Speaker 2: wasn't it. H No, that I thought that's what you said.
- 2:25Speaker 2: What was the forehead?
- 2:27Speaker 1: So this was in I think high school or college.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I went to the hairstylist and I was like, I
- 2:33Speaker 1: want to grow up my banks because I had banks
- 2:35Speaker 1: at the time. And she pulls up my banks and
- 2:37Speaker 1: she goes, no, four finger forehead, you should not grow.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh my god. I'd be like new hairstylist. Goodbye bull Ricks.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah I didn't go back to her anymore.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Good Bye super Cuts.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Anyway. But yeah, life has been good. It has been.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It was a little crazy a few weeks ago. I
- 3:05Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw this story, Sokoto does
- 3:08Speaker 1: want to stay Hi, he's in my coda me.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I know. Oh he's cutie.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he's getting big. Anyway. So I was at my
- 3:20Speaker 1: friends and I felt like my eye was droopy or
- 3:25Speaker 1: it was blurry or something was weird. And you know,
- 3:28Speaker 1: we had just got the puppy, and so I thought
- 3:31Speaker 1: maybe I have like one of his pairs in my eye.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And I'm a quick anyway, so I'm like, I'm gonna
- 3:38Speaker 1: get home and wash my face, so just put I
- 3:41Speaker 1: drops in whatever. So I get home and wash my
- 3:44Speaker 1: face and I'm looking in the mirror and my pupil
- 3:47Speaker 1: on my right side is dilated, not the left one.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Just the right one. I really dilated, and I thought, Okay,
- 3:54Speaker 1: that's really strange, Like you know, mister medical doctor who
- 3:58Speaker 1: got his degree from er Yes.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Ahead, I'm working on a diagnosis as we speak.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So so I just thought, you know, that's when when
- 4:13Speaker 1: the EMTs or paramedics come up and they shine a
- 4:16Speaker 1: light or doctors shine a light in your eye and
- 4:18Speaker 1: like try to figure out if they're equal and reactive
- 4:22Speaker 1: or equally reactive or whatever it is. And it was
- 4:26Speaker 1: definitely unequal. So Ryan called one of his EMT friends,
- 4:31Speaker 1: who supposedly is like one of the smartest guys he
- 4:34Speaker 1: knows in that world, and he was like, I wouldn't
- 4:38Speaker 1: worry about it unless she has other symptoms, and it
- 4:40Speaker 1: really didn't have anything else going on besides like a
- 4:43Speaker 1: minor headache. And then of course I go to doctor
- 4:46Speaker 1: Google because that's what I.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Do, and.
- 4:53Speaker 1: No I know, but in this case, like in all
- 4:58Speaker 1: of their cases, I feel like it's usually, well, this
- 5:01Speaker 1: could be wrong with you, or this could be wrong
- 5:04Speaker 1: with you, or whatever could be wrong with you. Right,
- 5:06Speaker 1: it has like a list of things could be wrong.
- 5:10Speaker 1: On this one website, Cleveland Clinic that is like legit.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It said if you are experiencing and it's called anisochoria
- 5:19Speaker 1: when you have one dilated pupil. If you're experiening anasa chorea,
- 5:24Speaker 1: go to your primary or the emergency room right now.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You could be experiencing an aneurysm or a stroke. And
- 5:32Speaker 1: I was like, it's never doctor Google has never told
- 5:35Speaker 1: me to go to the emergency room.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Right now, right, I wouldn't even tell you to do that, right,
- 5:42Speaker 2: I mean, it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Was like, oh gosh, what really is going on? Like I,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you know, usually it'll say, oh, but you could have
- 5:51Speaker 1: a brain tumor, or you could have this or that
- 5:52Speaker 1: or whatever. But in this instance, it said go to
- 5:57Speaker 1: the emergency room. And of course, once I knew that
- 6:01Speaker 1: and was writing that, neither of us could say we
- 6:04Speaker 1: can't go because then what if I really did have
- 6:06Speaker 1: an aneurism or a stroke? Right, So tell the kids
- 6:12Speaker 1: go to the emergency room. They did a cat scan
- 6:14Speaker 1: and they like kind of like painted my eyeball to
- 6:17Speaker 1: see if it was had an abrasion on it, and
- 6:20Speaker 1: then everything checked out, so I guess it was just
- 6:24Speaker 1: a fluke as per usual in my In my case,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I feel like everything I've ever experienced, I had that feature,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you know, years ago and all these other things. I
- 6:36Speaker 1: feel like I am always the rare person who you
- 6:40Speaker 1: just have.
- 6:40Speaker 2: No idea why just randomly happened. Yeah, well, thank god
- 6:46Speaker 2: it was just random, though, I mean that could have
- 6:47Speaker 2: been I mean, man, that's nothing to mess around about either,
- 6:51Speaker 2: So I get it. I would have been rushing myself
- 6:53Speaker 2: or whoever to the hospital too.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it can be scary. So I feel like,
- 6:58Speaker 1: just you know, word to anyone listening, just listen to
- 7:02Speaker 1: your body, and if it turns out to be nothing,
- 7:04Speaker 1: that's awesome. But if it turns out to be something,
- 7:07Speaker 1: because I did have someone reach out on Instagram afterwards
- 7:12Speaker 1: and they told me a story about how a friend
- 7:14Speaker 1: of theirs died from an aneurysm, and I think that
- 7:18Speaker 1: was the only symptom she had as well. So like,
- 7:21Speaker 1: just listen to your body because you never know exactly.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And if you're fortunate enough to have health insurance, which
- 7:27Speaker 2: I know you know you do and I do. It's
- 7:28Speaker 2: like it's so it's a little co I mean, it's
- 7:32Speaker 2: probably a decent or sizable copey to go to the er,
- 7:34Speaker 2: but it's better safe than sorry, you know what I mean.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's definitely better, you know, to go there and just
- 7:39Speaker 2: get it checked out and feel comfortable, because I mean
- 7:42Speaker 2: that would be scary, especially if it was that discernible
- 7:44Speaker 2: of a difference. I would be stressed out the headache
- 7:46Speaker 2: through me. When you said it was a headache, I'm like, oh, man, okay,
- 7:50Speaker 2: now you got And.
- 7:50Speaker 1: They did say in the er, are you having a headache,
- 7:54Speaker 1: and I said, yeah, I've been havingache a headache for
- 7:57Speaker 1: a little while, but it's not that bad. And they
- 7:59Speaker 1: were like, okay, well, if it was the worst headache
- 8:01Speaker 1: of your life, that's when we really worry. But since
- 8:05Speaker 1: it's really nothing, then we're not going to worry. So anyway,
- 8:10Speaker 1: everything is good. We did have so I think after
- 8:14Speaker 1: that happened, I got this book in the mail. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: think it was after maybe it had been before. Molly
- 8:20Speaker 1: Mesnik and Desiree and I were sitting at the wedding
- 8:23Speaker 1: at the Golden Bachelor wedding just chatting, and we were
- 8:26Speaker 1: talking about how Molly found out about this book that
- 8:29Speaker 1: she wanted to order from Amazon to like put all
- 8:33Speaker 1: have Jason actually, because Jason handles all of their money
- 8:36Speaker 1: and their accounts and you know, like whatever the passwords
- 8:40Speaker 1: to everything, you know, all of that.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And.
- 8:44Speaker 1: She's like, I need to I need to write all
- 8:46Speaker 1: this stuff down because what if something does happen to Jason?
- 8:49Speaker 1: And I was thinking the same, like I do I
- 8:51Speaker 1: do pretty much all of that for our family, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: I feel like if I wasn't around Ryan, would you know.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Be sool?
- 8:59Speaker 1: So Molly told me about this book on Amazon and
- 9:03Speaker 1: I ordered it and it came and I had it
- 9:05Speaker 1: sitting on the kitchen island and Max came in and
- 9:09Speaker 1: kind of was looking around and he starts to go
- 9:12Speaker 1: down to his room and he was like, Mom, are
- 9:16Speaker 1: you okay? Like, is everything okay? Well, the title of
- 9:19Speaker 1: the book is I'm Dead.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Now what.
- 9:27Speaker 1: He was like, are you okay?
- 9:30Speaker 2: Like?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Is everything fine? Are you dying?
- 9:33Speaker 2: You know?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Anyway, he didn't say that until I realized that he
- 9:38Speaker 1: saw it, and so I went up to him and
- 9:40Speaker 1: I was like, dude, did you just see that book?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Are you freaking out because you think that like something's
- 9:46Speaker 1: happening to me? I promise nothing's happening. I'm really healthy.
- 9:49Speaker 2: That's funny. I'm surprised. I mean, you know, my experience
- 9:52Speaker 2: with Max was so I'm surprised. He reacted at all
- 9:55Speaker 2: given my my encounter with him. Right, here's hey Max,
- 9:59Speaker 2: this is my ex boyfriend. What's up? I got one
- 10:04Speaker 2: of these? Like any think I got it? What's up?
- 10:06Speaker 2: That's got?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yeah he's better about talking these days, but yeah, it was.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It was pretty comical. So there are these books on Amazon.
- 10:20Speaker 1: They're all all different like covers, and it's just say
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm dead now what So you have all of your information?
- 10:28Speaker 2: You know? You know, it's funny. That does make you think, though,
- 10:30Speaker 2: I mean I always try to, especially when it's like
- 10:32Speaker 2: you get such mixed signals from everything, so they're like,
- 10:35Speaker 2: you know, don't write your passwords down total there or
- 10:38Speaker 2: keep it near your computer because then blah blah blah.
- 10:40Speaker 2: So it's like, what the hell am I supposed to do? Then?
- 10:42Speaker 2: You know? So I literally do though I write everything down.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I do, so, yeah, i'd be the easiest, you know.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Guess I'm putting it out there for anyone listening to
- 10:50Speaker 2: the podcast. If you really want to rob someone and
- 10:52Speaker 2: have an easy go of it, come to my house
- 10:54Speaker 2: because I uh, all my passwords are right here. Just kidding,
- 11:00Speaker 2: I will hide them now, I'm just kidding. Yeah, I'm
- 11:03Speaker 2: not here there there over here. Don't take a picture
- 11:05Speaker 2: of it, right, yea, oh my god. But yeah, I
- 11:12Speaker 2: remember that at the wedding because at the Golden Wedding,
- 11:15Speaker 2: I remember that how fun it was at that table
- 11:17Speaker 2: that we were Oh wait, that's right. I wasn't invited. Rude.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I just read something and it was like and at
- 11:25Speaker 2: the wedding, we're you know, so many people from the
- 11:29Speaker 2: Bachelor Nation family were there, and I'm like, I thought
- 11:32Speaker 2: it was more exclusive, and that's why I wasn't invited.
- 11:36Speaker 2: So there was that many people there. I mean, there
- 11:38Speaker 2: are like randoms who were like the first ones voted
- 11:41Speaker 2: off on you know, Bachelor Winter Games in nineteen eighty four.
- 11:46Speaker 2: They're there, not me.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Thank you, sorry, I would have invited you if I could.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Thank you. Well, I did get to go to the
- 11:58Speaker 2: Bachelor wedding of all time, Trista and Ryan and.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, right exactly.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And guess what, none of those people were at
- 12:06Speaker 2: that wedding. So there I was. You're the only one
- 12:14Speaker 2: in this conversation that they weren't even for you. But
- 12:16Speaker 2: that's okay, that's all right. They wouldn't have been invited
- 12:19Speaker 2: anyway because they had been babies and it was a
- 12:21Speaker 2: no kid wedding, So I'm just kidding. Well, I think
- 12:25Speaker 2: I think that's awesome. I love that you guys all
- 12:27Speaker 2: still have such a good friendship.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I guess in the headlines, if you want to switch
- 12:41Speaker 1: gears to the headlines, I guess there was something that
- 12:43Speaker 1: happened after the Sorry, I just had to check on
- 12:48Speaker 1: him after Golden wedding or during golden wedding. I hear
- 12:52Speaker 1: that Dean realized that Caitlin unfollowed him and because I
- 13:00Speaker 1: guess she tagged him in something, and then he looked
- 13:03Speaker 1: at her account just to see and he was like, oh,
- 13:08Speaker 1: she doesn't follow me, so I'm gonna unfollow her.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I think this is the modern day, Yes, the modern
- 13:15Speaker 2: day version of throwing shade. Yeah, you know. It's like
- 13:19Speaker 2: I laughed when we were talking about this earlier. I
- 13:21Speaker 2: wouldn't even know if someone had done followed me or not.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I'd be like, okay. And then I heard in that
- 13:28Speaker 2: same article he talks about muting, and I'm like, what
- 13:31Speaker 2: does that mean, I've never muted.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We're having a bob and he leftin today.
- 13:38Speaker 2: We really are. I'm learning so much about my social
- 13:40Speaker 2: media accounts.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, no, you definitely can mute people. I most definitely
- 13:46Speaker 1: mute people if I'm just over what they're what they're posting,
- 13:50Speaker 1: not even people that are in the public eye, just
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, friends and who I'm like, are you kidding?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Like could we just not talk about Paula Tics in
- 14:00Speaker 1: every single post? You know, Like I'm like, yeah, just
- 14:05Speaker 1: please come on or whatever.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I did this old fashioned thing. I had conversations with
- 14:11Speaker 2: people that were doing that, and I was like, can
- 14:13Speaker 2: we not have, you know, every post of yours be political,
- 14:16Speaker 2: because even though I may or may not agree with it, Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 2: it really pigeonholes you. It makes you look like so
- 14:21Speaker 2: one dimensional. And it's like but it's always like, you know,
- 14:25Speaker 2: the thing that I always find interesting and I don't
- 14:28Speaker 2: really ever talk about my politics, but so everyone kind
- 14:31Speaker 2: of guesses what they think I am and they're always wrong.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But oh yeah, well because I I mean, I'll tell
- 14:37Speaker 2: you the secret later. But the secret is, oh I
- 14:40Speaker 2: can't tell you on this. I'll just we'll just keep
- 14:42Speaker 2: it between us and out. But no, they It's it's
- 14:44Speaker 2: funny because literally they'll they'll say, you know, well, for
- 14:47Speaker 2: all my right wing friends out there, for all my
- 14:49Speaker 2: left wing friends, out there. Yeah, and it's always something like,
- 14:52Speaker 2: you know, it's like when people open a sentence with, hey,
- 14:54Speaker 2: well no offense. I know, here comes an offense, right,
- 14:59Speaker 2: So it's like, come on, guy. I was like, let's
- 15:00Speaker 2: not even get that dialogue going. Let's just stop it,
- 15:03Speaker 2: let's shut it down, and let's just you know, let's
- 15:06Speaker 2: just let's just bring some kindness back into this world
- 15:08Speaker 2: and totally, you know, get somebody in office who can,
- 15:12Speaker 2: you know, make sure we're not going broke and going
- 15:14Speaker 2: to war and all that good stuff and everybody's being
- 15:17Speaker 2: treated well.
- 15:17Speaker 1: And I mean I wish there was a person out there.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't think there is.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Well, it's become such a tough gig. I mean, could
- 15:26Speaker 2: you imagine. I mean, I'm sure you know, I can't
- 15:29Speaker 2: even imagine the scrutiny that you go through, oh, running
- 15:32Speaker 2: for public office at this point.
- 15:34Speaker 1: No way. I don't know one wants to do it.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I wouldn't want.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I mean, not that I ever have wanted to do it,
- 15:39Speaker 1: but I feel like anyone in politics you've got to
- 15:41Speaker 1: be crazy.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I actually used to want to isn't that weird to do?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Like I actually, when I was much younger, I always thought, Yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 2: I think I could do some good because I like,
- 15:49Speaker 2: you know, when I have people who disagree on stuff,
- 15:52Speaker 2: I work really hard to make them find common ground.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Like it's just I've always been a people pleaser in
- 15:57Speaker 2: that regard. And but I my brother in law and
- 15:59Speaker 2: I actually when we were in Mexico had this conversation and
- 16:02Speaker 2: I was like, you know, I think it's become so
- 16:04Speaker 2: difficult because if you are someone who is more moderate,
- 16:08Speaker 2: you know, to you know, all the far reaching political spectrum.
- 16:13Speaker 2: If you're someone who's kind of a lot more moderate,
- 16:16Speaker 2: I don't know that you can get elected anymore because
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think at the end of the day, you almost
- 16:20Speaker 2: have to play to one side or the other to
- 16:22Speaker 2: get that support. You know.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I wish there was somebody who who did have
- 16:29Speaker 1: a lot more common ground. Yeah, so that we can
- 16:31Speaker 1: be united.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I guess when with Guinea in twenty twenty six, just kidding, Yes,
- 16:38Speaker 2: that's my political college. But yeah, I uh to say,
- 16:41Speaker 2: I haven't I haven't learned to mute, but I'm gonna
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm going to figure out how to do that, because
- 16:45Speaker 2: it looks like that's what Dean said was that he
- 16:47Speaker 2: was saying that he muted her or something like that.
- 16:52Speaker 1: No, he was saying. He actually said he muted Ashley
- 16:57Speaker 1: and she was like, what excuse me, because he was
- 17:01Speaker 1: doing his podcast with Jared talking and he said he
- 17:05Speaker 1: muted Ashley, which you know, he said, if you don't
- 17:10Speaker 1: mute certain people, then their content shows up before anybody else's,
- 17:15Speaker 1: like constantly. You can favorite someone or starve them. I
- 17:19Speaker 1: think I think I have like Ryan Favoriteed and my
- 17:22Speaker 1: kids and you know, my family or whatever. You of course,
- 17:27Speaker 1: of course, so so yeah, you can mute, you can favorite,
- 17:32Speaker 1: you can, but the algorithm is so freaking confusing, and
- 17:37Speaker 1: certain people just show up constantly for you if you
- 17:41Speaker 1: if you don't mute him. So I get that too.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes I just need a break from
- 17:47Speaker 1: certain people.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Sure, sure, but you know it's interesting, is like some
- 17:51Speaker 2: people are so good at social media, Like Dean is
- 17:53Speaker 2: one of them. Dean and yeah, I'm sure, Caitlin and
- 17:55Speaker 2: and you know, to a degree, I mean I would
- 17:58Speaker 2: say probably ash They're all so good at that that
- 18:02Speaker 2: you know, they understand the nuances that you know, do
- 18:06Speaker 2: things and I mean clearly I don't. I mean I basically,
- 18:10Speaker 2: you know, I take videos of my kids and myself,
- 18:14Speaker 2: and uh, you know that's about it. There's no messaging
- 18:17Speaker 2: going on in there.
- 18:18Speaker 1: You know that's okay. That is okay. You can continue
- 18:22Speaker 1: to do that too.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I use it more like a photo album.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Oh yes, no, you should, especially as a dad. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: just feel like it kind of comes with the territory.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Like I don't know if there's like this unwritten pressure,
- 18:35Speaker 1: if you will, like peer pressure to follow people in
- 18:39Speaker 1: Bachelor Nation when you're part of Bachelor Nation, like if
- 18:42Speaker 1: you're disconnected from it, Like I know, Molly stepped away
- 18:45Speaker 1: from social media for a while, so and like she
- 18:48Speaker 1: went to the Golden Wedding, she was like, please tell
- 18:51Speaker 1: me who all these people are. I have no idea.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You know there are people who like step away, but
- 18:58Speaker 1: if you're if you're doing stuff with them, I feel
- 19:01Speaker 1: like there's kind of like this unwritten rule that you
- 19:04Speaker 1: kind of have to follow people. But I you know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'll get excited and I'll be like, oh, yeah, I
- 19:10Speaker 1: want to I want to follow so and so because
- 19:12Speaker 1: I love watching them, And then I'm like, you really
- 19:16Speaker 1: don't have anything in common, and yeah, highly doubt that
- 19:21Speaker 1: they're really excited to see my content too.
- 19:23Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I'm sure there's nobody out there clamoring to,
- 19:28Speaker 2: you know, to jump on the Bob Getna bandwagon on
- 19:31Speaker 2: Instagram by any stretch. But you know, it's funny. I
- 19:34Speaker 2: will say, like, I know what you mean. I mean,
- 19:36Speaker 2: I remember after Chris and Lauren's wedding, you know, and
- 19:39Speaker 2: that was the first time I was around a lot
- 19:41Speaker 2: of those people, and I really had such a wonderful time.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I mean, you and I've talked about it. It was like
- 19:47Speaker 2: such a great time, and it was such a great
- 19:48Speaker 2: group of people, such a great mix of people, and
- 19:51Speaker 2: I ended up following a ton of people that weekend
- 19:53Speaker 2: that you know, I just I hadn't met previously, and
- 19:55Speaker 2: so once I did, I'm like, hey, I knew best friends,
- 19:58Speaker 2: you know. And I loved it. I mean, and I
- 20:00Speaker 2: I really did. I really loved, you know, that experience.
- 20:02Speaker 2: And I've loved all the iHeart experiences where I've gotten
- 20:04Speaker 2: to know more people so much better. And you know, so,
- 20:07Speaker 2: I mean, from that perspective that you're right, I think
- 20:09Speaker 2: there is there is kind of like an unwritten rule,
- 20:12Speaker 2: but it's also from my perspective, it's also one of
- 20:14Speaker 2: those things where it's just like, man, I just spent
- 20:16Speaker 2: the weekend with these people and I had so much fun.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I just want to, you know, keep in touch with them.
- 20:20Speaker 2: And yes, it's a nice way to do it. It's
- 20:22Speaker 2: a nice way to keep in touch and just sort
- 20:24Speaker 2: of you know, scroll through and go, oh, that's what
- 20:26Speaker 2: Dean and Kaylen are doing. That's fine, you know, or
- 20:28Speaker 2: whatever it might be. So yeah, but I but I
- 20:31Speaker 2: can still say that, you know, I would. I think
- 20:34Speaker 2: it's really funny the topic of conversation there on that,
- 20:37Speaker 2: you know well, and I had a mute it anyway,
- 20:39Speaker 2: so I was like, okay, I just on follower. I
- 20:42Speaker 2: think that's just pretty funny. But Caitlin's in the news
- 20:45Speaker 2: a lot with us.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't think you can see that people have muted you.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I think he just told Jared that he had needed Ashley, yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 1: because then I don't think people would mute other people,
- 20:58Speaker 1: because then you could see that they muted you. You know,
- 21:02Speaker 1: some people instead of unfollowing, they'll do the muting thing
- 21:06Speaker 1: so that they don't get called out for unfollowing.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I do remember, okay, I just realized I caught myself
- 21:11Speaker 2: in a little bit of a fib there. I do
- 21:13Speaker 2: recall finding out someone had blocked me.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Oh blocked you like that?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yes? Oh yeah, next level. So it was a friend
- 21:24Speaker 2: of mine. No, no, not from the franchise. This is
- 21:28Speaker 2: years and years and years ago. But it was well,
- 21:30Speaker 2: not too many years ago, I guess, but I was
- 21:32Speaker 2: still living in La So it was probably like twenty twelve,
- 21:36Speaker 2: twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen, right when Instagram it's kind of
- 21:38Speaker 2: like a new thing. I guess that's when that was.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I don't even know when it began, but I remember
- 21:44Speaker 2: my buddy's girlfriend, Okay, he dumped her and she thought
- 21:50Speaker 2: it was because of my influence, I guess, And so
- 21:53Speaker 2: I was like, what she didn't know was I was
- 21:56Speaker 2: actually like trying to, you know, broke her some peace there.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Like I was like, you know, oh no, she's great.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yeah she can be a little crazy, but you know
- 22:04Speaker 2: she's awesome or whatever. And uh, I like liked a
- 22:07Speaker 2: picture of hers on on Instagram and it wouldn't accept
- 22:11Speaker 2: my like oh would accept my heart. And I'm like,
- 22:15Speaker 2: I'm like, wait, what the hell is going on here?
- 22:17Speaker 2: And I must have I must have hit it like
- 22:18Speaker 2: ten times in the final I'm like, oh my god,
- 22:21Speaker 2: how am I the villain here. I didn't do anything wrong,
- 22:24Speaker 2: and I'll never forget it. So that's the one time
- 22:26Speaker 2: I remember knowing that moment that someone had either you know,
- 22:31Speaker 2: they had a beef with me, I guess on on
- 22:32Speaker 2: the on the Instagram there, and it just you I know,
- 22:37Speaker 2: I was so hurt by it, and then I felt
- 22:39Speaker 2: like I had to redeem myself somehow and validate that
- 22:42Speaker 2: it wasn't my fault. So I was like going out
- 22:44Speaker 2: of my way to figure out ways to you know,
- 22:48Speaker 2: get some type of content to this person to let
- 22:50Speaker 2: them know that I was I was on her side.
- 22:52Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Another headline is Chris and Lauren just announce that they
- 23:07Speaker 1: have a new show coming up, which is great to
- 23:10Speaker 1: be I mean, I love it. I love that they've
- 23:13Speaker 1: got you know, all these what do you call them
- 23:16Speaker 1: irons in the fire.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 1: And but what I want to know is he said
- 23:22Speaker 1: something about like I heard it was a morning show,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and then I heard it was a dating show, And
- 23:28Speaker 1: I'm like, really, don't you think that his contract would
- 23:31Speaker 1: have said, like you can't do dating.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Shows, you know, I mean, it sounds like it's not
- 23:37Speaker 2: it sounds like it's two separate shows, right, it sounds
- 23:40Speaker 2: like there's what I understand. Yeah, from what I understand,
- 23:43Speaker 2: there's one show like a talk show with Lauren and
- 23:46Speaker 2: Chris got It, and then the other show is a
- 23:49Speaker 2: spin on your conventional dating show. And so yeah, I
- 23:54Speaker 2: kind of I kind of knew a bunch of stuff
- 23:56Speaker 2: was percolating, but I didn't know where it was going
- 23:58Speaker 2: or what was happening. And and I thought the announcement
- 24:01Speaker 2: was pretty great, you know. I mean, you talk about
- 24:03Speaker 2: someone whose content is incredibly entertaining. I think Lauren Zima
- 24:07Speaker 2: to me is someone who I follow her and I
- 24:11Speaker 2: I will literally just sit there and just laugh at
- 24:14Speaker 2: like like sitting in my seat. My and Kenye'll say,
- 24:16Speaker 2: what are you laughing about? I'm like, Lauren posted this,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and we'll both watch it just laugh because because we
- 24:21Speaker 2: just love her so much. You know, She's just such
- 24:23Speaker 2: an adorable person and I just find her so funny,
- 24:27Speaker 2: and her takes on things are just you know, she
- 24:30Speaker 2: just has like kind of like no filter and just
- 24:33Speaker 2: this cute way of handling herself and I just adore it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: So I'm so happy for them, and I think it's
- 24:39Speaker 2: going to be awesome for them. And but yeah, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 2: it is interesting you you would you would guess uh that,
- 24:47Speaker 2: you know, but maybe the way things went down, you know,
- 24:49Speaker 2: they didn't have the ability to put that in there
- 24:52Speaker 2: for him. He could do whatever he wants, you know.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I'm sure, I mean, but I think it's awesome. I
- 24:58Speaker 1: agree with you about Lauren, and I think it's going
- 25:00Speaker 1: back to social media like she is one that never
- 25:03Speaker 1: pops up for me, even though I like any like
- 25:06Speaker 1: anytime Chris will, I'm following her and Chris will post
- 25:10Speaker 1: something or repost something from her, and I'll go look
- 25:12Speaker 1: at it and be like, why didn't this show up?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Like I don't understand why she doesn't show up for me,
- 25:17Speaker 1: But it's just the stupid algorithm. I need to like out,
- 25:22Speaker 1: like go actually look at her stuff actively because She're right,
- 25:27Speaker 1: she is freaking hysterical. But I'm really excited about the show.
- 25:32Speaker 1: They are such a good team and I mean they
- 25:36Speaker 1: can banter, they can you know, be supportive, they can
- 25:39Speaker 1: do all the things. I think it's going to be
- 25:41Speaker 1: a huge success.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I think so too, And I definitely I'm if I
- 25:46Speaker 2: can send positive vibes, I'm sending them. It's like I
- 25:49Speaker 2: wanted to be I want it to be a huge success.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And I think, you know, partnering up with a fellow
- 25:54Speaker 2: textan doesn't hurt Chris at all either, Right, He's partnering
- 25:58Speaker 2: up with doctor Phil and you know, Merit Media, and yeah, yep,
- 26:02Speaker 2: that's pretty huge. So good for them. Man. I was
- 26:06Speaker 2: very happy to read that.
- 26:07Speaker 1: It's funny because when I don't know if I was
- 26:10Speaker 1: sitting with Blakesley when it was posted, but she was like, wait,
- 26:13Speaker 1: why is Chris Harrison with doctor Phil Is? Isn't he
- 26:16Speaker 1: like a psychiatrist or something? And I was like, oh, no,
- 26:19Speaker 1: he's not, like going on doctor Phil showed.
- 26:23Speaker 2: You're like, well, he's partnering with doctor Phil, yes exactly.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm like doctor Phil is, like you know, has a
- 26:29Speaker 1: big media company from what I understand.
- 26:31Speaker 2: So I'm sure. And Chris is also sort of a
- 26:35Speaker 2: psychotherapist as well. I mean, over the years to most
- 26:38Speaker 2: of us at one point or another, I'm sure, provided
- 26:42Speaker 2: you know mental health and counsel. So yeah, there you got.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Lots of that, that's for sure.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I think I told you this story once, but it's
- 26:50Speaker 2: one of my favorite stories about doctor Phil. Well actually
- 26:53Speaker 2: just one of my favorite stories in general. So this
- 26:55Speaker 2: is a very very very long time ago. You had
- 26:59Speaker 2: just gotten well, you were married. I don't know if
- 27:02Speaker 2: you're pregnant at the time or not, but it was
- 27:03Speaker 2: right after. I don't think you were yet because you
- 27:05Speaker 2: didn't have How long after you guys got married, did
- 27:07Speaker 2: you guys have Max?
- 27:10Speaker 1: It took us two years, so I think three years after.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Well he was born in two seven, so we got pregnant.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah. So I had just come off The
- 27:19Speaker 2: Bachelor and it was Oprah's fiftieth birthday party and I
- 27:23Speaker 2: got invited and I was all excited to go, and
- 27:25Speaker 2: I go and the first and I was shocked again
- 27:29Speaker 2: to be there. I'm like, I'm standing Jefferson Anderston and
- 27:32Speaker 2: Brad Pittord right here, I'm sitting, you know, I'm with
- 27:35Speaker 2: like you know, and there's doctor Phil And this is
- 27:38Speaker 2: to date myself. This goes back to the day when
- 27:40Speaker 2: the blue blackberries were what everyone had, remember those y
- 27:45Speaker 2: And so I'm online doctor Phil. I was like, I
- 27:48Speaker 2: don't even know what I was doing, probably just like
- 27:50Speaker 2: nervous energy because I'm around all these huge celebrities and
- 27:54Speaker 2: doctor Phil's standing right next to me. He goes, boul
- 27:57Speaker 2: do you know how to make the font bigger on
- 27:59Speaker 2: this thing. And I'm like, yes, I do, doctor Phil.
- 28:04Speaker 2: First of all, I'm like, how the hell's he knowing?
- 28:06Speaker 2: I didn't even introduced myself yet, and so I was like, sure,
- 28:09Speaker 2: doctor Phil. And so I remember, I like helped him
- 28:12Speaker 2: get his font size bigger on there. And it was
- 28:15Speaker 2: just like one of those moments when in my life,
- 28:16Speaker 2: in my in my head, I was like, yeah, here again.
- 28:19Speaker 2: You know, mister, I never take pictures of anything, you know,
- 28:23Speaker 2: is my Like Kenyon says to me, She's like, the
- 28:26Speaker 2: pictures you could have had. I mean, you know, I'm like, seriously,
- 28:30Speaker 2: I wasn't going to pull out my camera and be like, hey,
- 28:31Speaker 2: doctor Phil, yeah, let me hould up your blueberry or
- 28:34Speaker 2: whatever the things they're called, so, you know, BlackBerry. So
- 28:39Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't do that at the time, but
- 28:41Speaker 2: you know, it's kind of funny. I always think of
- 28:42Speaker 2: him because he was so nice. He was just such
- 28:46Speaker 2: a nice guy, and it was like a normal guy
- 28:48Speaker 2: Like it was like, you know, this damn font thing,
- 28:51Speaker 2: and you know, it's like things that you know, I
- 28:53Speaker 2: don't know. I just always think of that as just
- 28:55Speaker 2: kind of a pretty telling moment.
- 28:57Speaker 1: It's just like a like an everyday moment. It just
- 29:00Speaker 1: so happened to be happening with doctor Phil exactly.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, as I'm in a you know, tux
- 29:06Speaker 2: said Oprah's fifty right exactly.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Celebrities.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, that party in and of itself.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I remember another awesome thing that happened to me there,
- 29:16Speaker 2: and this is why why Tom Hanks is one of
- 29:18Speaker 2: my very favorite celebrities of all time. And I was
- 29:22Speaker 2: I was standing there and I'll never i mean literally
- 29:27Speaker 2: just looking around this room, I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You know, it's just the star studded ensemble of people.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And someone was like, you know, do you see anyone
- 29:36Speaker 2: that you want to meet? And I go, oh my god,
- 29:37Speaker 2: I'd love to. I'd love to meet Tom Hanks. He's
- 29:39Speaker 2: like my favorite actor. Okay, well, let's walk over. So
- 29:42Speaker 2: as we're walking over, and it was Alan Racketten actually,
- 29:45Speaker 2: who was executive sort of Oprah at the time. Let's
- 29:48Speaker 2: go walk over. And as we're walking over, she goes, Tom,
- 29:51Speaker 2: I want you to meet and he goes Bob, Bob,
- 29:56Speaker 2: Oh my god, and I'm like I literally could have
- 29:59Speaker 2: like passed out. And what was incredible was I sat
- 30:01Speaker 2: and talked to him for like half an hour. He
- 30:03Speaker 2: and Rita and I just loved them. But I've run
- 30:06Speaker 2: into him probably maybe six times seven times over the
- 30:11Speaker 2: course of the last several years. And every time I do,
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm always the guy that doesn't want to bug him,
- 30:19Speaker 2: you know, like the situation as such, and so I'll
- 30:21Speaker 2: just like, you know, like many times on the Today Show,
- 30:24Speaker 2: you know, when I used to do the Today's show
- 30:25Speaker 2: Man panel, and he would be there doing something for
- 30:27Speaker 2: a new movie or whatever, and I'd see him and
- 30:30Speaker 2: I'd be kind of on the other side of the room,
- 30:31Speaker 2: and so I'd just be like, oh, I'm not gonna
- 30:32Speaker 2: bug him, you know, and he probably doesn't remember me anyway,
- 30:34Speaker 2: and he would figure out a way and this is
- 30:37Speaker 2: just Tom Hanks, man, I'm telling you. He would figure
- 30:40Speaker 2: out a way to come by, and as he'd be
- 30:42Speaker 2: like walking past me, he would go, oh, oh my gosh,
- 30:45Speaker 2: it's my old buddy Bob who's too cool to say
- 30:48Speaker 2: hi to his friend Tom. That's awesome, and I'd be like, no, no,
- 30:51Speaker 2: that's not what I'm doing. I swear. It was like
- 30:53Speaker 2: so funny. It just like always one of those things
- 30:55Speaker 2: where the way he would do it was such a
- 30:57Speaker 2: way that was like, I don't know, it just took
- 31:00Speaker 2: the steam out of it in like a great way. Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Oh he's so he'd be like, oh yeah, just too
- 31:06Speaker 2: cool to say hi to your old friend Tom. I
- 31:08Speaker 2: get it, And I'm like, no, dude, I just didn't
- 31:10Speaker 2: want to bug you. You know, you're so busy, you're
- 31:12Speaker 2: you know, surrounded by a bunch of people or whatever.
- 31:14Speaker 2: And I love him for that though. You know, he's
- 31:16Speaker 2: just such a kind person.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I digress. I don't even know how we got stuck
- 31:21Speaker 2: on that topic there, but oh, doctor Phil, Doctor Phil. Yep.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Well you know what, Coda sitting here whining at me.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I'm I'm thinking he might need to go outside because
- 31:31Speaker 1: he's in this room like accidentally, So I take him
- 31:35Speaker 1: out for a party.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Break there you go. Well, make sure you get a
- 31:39Speaker 2: little needle and thread for that sweater because Coda is
- 31:41Speaker 2: going to use it as a cheety again.
- 31:42Speaker 1: If you're not caring for It's one of my favorites too,
- 31:45Speaker 1: But it's fine. It just comes with the territory. At
- 31:48Speaker 1: least it wasn't like a big hole in my hand
- 31:50Speaker 1: although have scratches all over the place, but it was
- 31:53Speaker 1: so good to talk to you again, and I know
- 31:57Speaker 1: got out there. I wish we could do it more frequently,
