- 0:02Hey, welcome to the city Point Church podcast.
- 0:04Thanks for joining us Every day is an opportunity to take hold
- 0:07of. So we hope this message inspires
- 0:10you and build your faith that it helps you have more of a God
- 0:13perspective for your day. Enjoy.
- 0:14Do you want to start with an? Interesting story.
- 0:19Not just a story, it was actually an event that occurred
- 0:22in 2016. Whole stack of newspaper
- 0:25articles about it caught my eye because it's so intriguing.
- 0:30There was this Filipino. Filipinos.
- 0:34Yeah. But it was this Filipino
- 0:37fisherman. And he's doing his, you know,
- 0:39his thing. He's swimming around and he
- 0:42finds this big, dirty old rock that was weird looking.
- 0:47And he thought this is a weird looking ugly rock, Must be
- 0:51lucky. So he gets this big ugly rock
- 0:56and he puts it under his bed for good luck.
- 1:00He had it under his bed for 10 years, 10 years, lucky rock,
- 1:05ugly rock. At the end of 10 years, he
- 1:08thought to himself, I should check to see if this rock is
- 1:11actually worth anything. It's ugly.
- 1:14We're looking, maybe someone will like it.
- 1:18So he took it into the the local, like, you know, where
- 1:21they get evaluated on what it is because it wasn't gold.
- 1:25It was a 34 kilogram Pearl. It's currently in a museum.
- 1:34It was valued at the time, so 2016 at $100 million.
- 1:44Ugly rock, 10 years. I know that kind of rock is a
- 1:55you can look it up. They've got it in a museum now
- 1:57in a glass case. I should have had a picture, but
- 2:00you can look it up because that was a life changing, super
- 2:04valuable, one-of-a-kind discovery, which is why it was
- 2:08valued so highly. And in life, the more rare
- 2:13something is, the more valuable it is.
- 2:17Say for example, dirt, not so valuable.
- 2:21It does have some value, but it's not as valuable because it
- 2:25is everywhere. It is common, but dirt is part
- 2:30of life. To even leave the house, you
- 2:33walk on the dirt, you travel on the dirt, your car gets dirty,
- 2:38your house gets dirty. There's this constant
- 2:41interaction between dirt and your own life.
- 2:48So that's OK because interaction and management of dirt, even
- 2:51though dirt's common, it is, still has value, you know,
- 2:54because you want to walk places, you want to do things, you know?
- 2:57So dirt, yeah, annoying, but it's there.
- 3:01Gold, more valuable because it's more rare and more useful than
- 3:06just dirt. Diamonds are worth more.
- 3:10And these days we have what's called rare earth materials.
- 3:14Have you heard of them? Rare earth materials.
- 3:16Super valuable gets like massive amount of uses, very hard to
- 3:22find. If you were to dig up rare earth
- 3:25materials in your backyard it would be a life changing super
- 3:31valuable discovery for you and your family.
- 3:35That's just true. So too, in scripture we have
- 3:42what's called imperative themes. It's combinements that are kind
- 3:46of the same. You know, it's like, you know,
- 3:48don't sleep with a bunch of people you shouldn't, don't have
- 3:51sexual immorality. It's a theme, all right?
- 3:54Imperative theme commands. And there are some imperative
- 3:58themes that are repeated over and over and over again, not to
- 4:03make them of little value, but because they're meant to be so
- 4:08common that you interact with them daily and have a lifestyle
- 4:13of it. OK, so there's some imperative
- 4:16themes that happen over and over and over again.
- 4:20If, however, there is an imperative theme of command or
- 4:24something that's only mentioned, you know, you know, a few times
- 4:28or even only once, it's because that word, that imperative theme
- 4:35has even more value. It doesn't actually diminish.
- 4:38It doesn't. Oh, God.
- 4:39And he mentions it once or twice.
- 4:40It mustn't be that important. It's well, actually it's more
- 4:44rare. It's more like a gold or it's
- 4:47more like a diamond. And there is this one word in
- 4:51the Bible, one word. It's OK, it's technically twice,
- 4:55once in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament.
- 4:57But the New Testament is just referring back to the only one
- 5:00time it's mentioned in Scripture.
- 5:02So if technically once there is this one word in the Bible, the
- 5:06whole Bible that is meant to be super valuable, super life
- 5:12changing, incredibly dynamic for your life, we're talking an
- 5:17amazing experience. When you get this one word in
- 5:21your life, it should change your whole experience.
- 5:26And it's the title of today's message Emmanuel God with us in
- 5:37menu means with us L God mention once it must be important.
- 5:42No, it's super rare earth material.
- 5:46Get this into your heart. It will change your entire life.
- 5:52God with us. It's found in Isaiah 7 verse 14
- 5:56and then in Isaiah 9 verse 6 we have the Christmas theme which
- 6:00incorporates Emmanuel. In Isaiah 9, verse 6, it says
- 6:04for unto us a child is born, unto us, with us a son is given,
- 6:12and the government will be upon his shoulder and his name will
- 6:16be called wonderful counselor. The word counselor then means to
- 6:21guide. OK, so he's going to be
- 6:22wonderful, but he's going to also guide mighty God,
- 6:26everlasting father. And one of the most remarkable
- 6:29parts of this verse, Prince of Peace, one of the most
- 6:36incredible qualities of this God, this wonderful counselor
- 6:41God who wants to be with us. Oh man, you know, not on my
- 6:46nose. Sorry, but the song that bugs me
- 6:49the most is that song that goes God is watching from a distance.
- 6:53I'm like what a load of tripe. Sorry just popped into my head.
- 7:02I'm like gosh, I hate that song as I'm as I'm reading this with
- 7:07us. God is with us anyway, this
- 7:13mighty or eternal being. Not only is he mighty, eternal
- 7:17Father, he brings peace. And if you look at the majority
- 7:23of the other religions, their lowercase G gods demand
- 7:29obedience without fatherhood, without atonement, no
- 7:35redemption. The other gods will bring law
- 7:38and subjection with love, what they call love, but they enforce
- 7:44their so-called love through fear.
- 7:49And it is our God, the God of the Bible who comes with peace.
- 7:56First point of today is No Fear because with the one true God
- 8:02there is No Fear. Yeah, praise Jesus, You know,
- 8:07Speaking of Jesus when Jesus was born, OK, just the day that the
- 8:12moment that Jesus was born, basically there's a whole stack
- 8:14of shepherds down the fields and this Angel appears to them.
- 8:20The very first word spoken to humanity at the birth of Christ
- 8:26was fear not. The first words spoken to
- 8:32humanity. Fear not, fear not.
- 8:36That's Luke 2, verse 10. He says, fear not for behold, I
- 8:39bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all
- 8:44people. Verse 14 glory to God in the
- 8:48highest and on earth, peace, goodwill toward men.
- 8:53And I think this is my personal opinion, but I, I have some
- 8:57anecdotal evidence about our case.
- 8:59Things that I've, I've noticed that the majority of the world,
- 9:03not just Christians, but the majority of the world would
- 9:05think that if Jesus showed up right now on this platform, he
- 9:12would look you all straight in the eye and say you should do
- 9:17better. That's, that's what we think our
- 9:21first experience with the revelation of Jesus is going to
- 9:24be like. It's like, man, if Jesus showed
- 9:26up, I mean, he's the first thing he's going to do is point out
- 9:28everything I've done wrong this week.
- 9:30It's like, you better do better. I'm going to beat you.
- 9:36But first words fear not fear not because I bring peace now I
- 9:46sure do better, but out of a loving relationship, not out of
- 9:50fear, but out of peace out of peace.
- 9:56Now, I don't understand that Scripture does say to fear God,
- 10:00but you have to remember in Second Timothy one verse 7, it
- 10:04says for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and
- 10:10of love and a sound mind. This verse has kept me since I
- 10:15was about 17. Honestly, I'm like, wow, OK,
- 10:20sound mind. That's a tough one being a crazy
- 10:23teenager. It's just like not so sure if
- 10:26this one's accurate. God.
- 10:27And God was like, just trust me, because he's not giving us a
- 10:31spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind.
- 10:36And Scripture does say to actually fear God.
- 10:38That's in Ecclesiastes 12/13. It says let us hear the
- 10:42conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God and keep his
- 10:46commandments, for this is the whole duty of men.
- 10:48It's like, wait, which one is it?
- 10:50Is it fear not or fear me? Contradictions.
- 10:56No, not contradictions. Do not fear, but fear God
- 11:02because the fear of God in the context of the whole Bible, not
- 11:06just, you know, a little verse, a little chapter, the context of
- 11:09fear in God, the whole Bible is a healthy, respectful fear.
- 11:13Let me explain a little bit further.
- 11:16It's like fire. Now, I've mentioned before that
- 11:19I'm, you know, somewhat in the fire industry.
- 11:22I know to your surprise, I am not in the calendar, right?
- 11:26Yeah. Why are you laughing for isn't
- 11:31the, isn't the calendar a personality calendar
- 11:34personality. Anyway, they never asked me to
- 11:39be on them. All right, we're moving on.
- 11:41Where's my notes here? OK, so fire.
- 11:43I, I have done fire training and without even setting fire to
- 11:48anything as the demonstration, before I even got to set fire to
- 11:51something, I've had people have mental breakdowns on me.
- 11:53Like, legitimately, that's actually true.
- 11:55It's happened twice because people have had terrible
- 11:59traumatic experiences with fire and they are super fearful of
- 12:04fire. Get this.
- 12:06Please understand this. If you are terrified of
- 12:09something, you do not approach it.
- 12:11You do not get near it. So God does not want you to fear
- 12:17because if you fear you are never going to draw close to
- 12:20him. And then he says, but fear me.
- 12:23It's like, well, which one is a God?
- 12:25So this with fire, if you approach fire correctly, if you
- 12:32have a healthy, right relationship with fire, then it
- 12:38can bring life. You cook food on it, gets rid of
- 12:41the bacteria, warms a house. We use it for sterilization of
- 12:45wounds. Fire has amazing health
- 12:48benefits. So you choose what fear you
- 12:52have. Have you got the fear that's
- 12:54responsive and rejectful or have you got a fear of I approach it
- 12:59with respect? Because if I approach fire with
- 13:03respect, then I'm going to reap all the benefits.
- 13:07And it's the same with God. We approach God with that
- 13:10respectful fear. We get all of the benefits, but
- 13:17stop fearing. God is constantly wanting us to
- 13:22draw close to him, but we have do not fear the imperative
- 13:30theme. The command to not fear actually
- 13:34occurs 113 times in the Bible. It's the number one thing in the
- 13:38whole Bible. Do not fear or do not be afraid
- 13:42or fear not imperative theme 113 times.
- 13:47Stop being afraid. It's actually very well
- 13:50connected to be at peace. So peace, it occurs 22 times in
- 13:56the Bible between those that the the whole emphasis of the Bible,
- 14:00if you want to look at imperative themes is just stop
- 14:03being afraid and find peace. Interestingly, the second
- 14:11highest imperative theme in the Bible is to listen.
- 14:15That occurs 78 times. Why?
- 14:17Because guys like, will you just listen to me and stop fearing
- 14:20and peace? OK, So yeah, the third highest
- 14:24one is to look, look and see what God's doing.
- 14:28That occurs 62 times. See God.
- 14:33See God the next one's go and come that's 58 times because God
- 14:38wants to move with you, God with us and 51 times go command, go
- 14:45into the world, go and do this, but it's always with you.
- 14:48I'll always be with you, never leave you.
- 14:51So none of these are the imperatives, you know, like
- 14:54listen, look, go and tell will happen in your life if you're
- 14:59afraid of drawing close to God, if there is fear in your life,
- 15:03which is why you've got to get rid of fear.
- 15:09If you suffer from fear and anxiety, here's the good news.
- 15:13Here's the absolutely honestly best news.
- 15:16I'm not just going to say this to encourage you.
- 15:18I'm going to tell you very clearly how you how this
- 15:20transforms, OK, so that you can see some light at the end of the
- 15:24tunnel, because I think there's people that really suffer from
- 15:27fear and anxiety. I've been there in my life and
- 15:30my childhood. I was so crippled by it that I
- 15:33would stop breathing. So, and I think Pastor Graham's
- 15:38already mentioned the fact that he would hate to be up speaking
- 15:40in front of people. It's like, how do you transform
- 15:43from fearful and anxiety to the power of God?
- 15:46How does this work? Well, that's because fear and
- 15:50anxiety is actually a dis formed gift.
- 15:53All right, so let me explain people who have a persuasion for
- 15:59ungodly experiences. So for example, people like, you
- 16:02know, I'm a psychic. I'm like, all right, it's, I
- 16:06find it remarkable that when they become born again
- 16:10Christians, the gift doesn't leave them because the gifts of
- 16:13God are without repentance. But now they operate fully in
- 16:17the correct spiritual realm. So they're not hearing from
- 16:22demons anymore. They're hearing from the power
- 16:25of God. They've become prophets or
- 16:26discerners. Amazing.
- 16:28Same gift, just in godliness, you know, and with actual true
- 16:33health and power. People that have a deformed gift
- 16:38of healing, you know, they've heard Reiki.
- 16:40They're like, oh, I run my hands over you, it's going to heal
- 16:42you. It's like, don't touch me, mate.
- 16:46You might. That doesn't already matter.
- 16:50But after a transformational change through the power of the
- 16:54Holy Spirit, all of a sudden the gift arises of healing in their
- 16:57life. Gifts of God without repentance.
- 17:03That's Romans 11/29. Get this.
- 17:05If you feel like you suffer depression, guess what?
- 17:10You're the kind of person who will know the weight that God
- 17:14feels about sin. If you have an addictive
- 17:21personality, then you're the person who's going to wake up
- 17:25every day when the God hit. We have to stop thinking that
- 17:32the problem's a problem. The problem is an opportunity
- 17:36for the Kingdom. And so if you're prone to fear,
- 17:45prone from suffering fear and anxiety, and honestly, there's
- 17:49some research about the addiction to fear, but instead
- 17:53of being prone to anxiety, get this, this is where your
- 17:56transformation is going to occur.
- 17:57If you are the one who is prone to anxiety, then you are
- 18:01actually also prone to faith. Yeah, you can.
- 18:08You can actually build a moment of lifestyle of faith because to
- 18:12be honest, as someone, and Pastor Gray will testify this to
- 18:15step down and faith can be quite terrifying sometimes.
- 18:19Yeah, But because fear can be addictive, then so can faith
- 18:26because you like the same buzz, the same hormones, like, Oh my
- 18:29gosh, this is so terrifying. And then you go, yes, I'm going
- 18:31to step out of faith and tell this lady to step out of a
- 18:33wheelchair. It's just like, because I'm
- 18:36addicted to the buzz. The difference between a
- 18:43distorted gift and a wholly powerful godly gift is to simply
- 18:48know God, that he is with us. Let go of the fear.
- 18:54Move into your God-given gifts. Alright .2 No God no peace.
- 19:03No God, no peace. It's a classic, yeah.
- 19:10God deeply wants us to know him. You know, to know God is the
- 19:14beginning of wisdom. That's in Proverbs 910.
- 19:17But to really know God and to move into a relationship with
- 19:20him, you will always find peace as well, not just wisdom.
- 19:25It's the beginning of wisdom, but there's a whole world of
- 19:28peace. And God does want us to deeply
- 19:31know him. Even if you have personally
- 19:35rejected God your entire life, He wants you to know Him.
- 19:41Now. We recently know of somebody who
- 19:46passed away. They were 90 years old, and they
- 19:50rejected God their whole life. We're talking their last, like
- 19:56their last moments in bed. You know what's it called?
- 19:59A palliative care for the last six months, right?
- 20:03Reject God. Reject God 90 years palliative
- 20:05care rah rah. Gave their life to the Lord,
- 20:09right? And then it was just like, huh,
- 20:12he he'll probably die now. He did three days later because
- 20:16God was like, you know, I'm going to have to keep you alive
- 20:18just long enough for you to accept me as your king.
- 20:21Oh, and you think you think, wait, God, he rejected you for
- 20:25his entire life. And I think back and I go, are
- 20:30you OK, God? Because that's a little bit
- 20:34obsessive compulsive. I genuinely think a bit worried
- 20:43about him sometimes because I wouldn't have to be honest.
- 20:45I love you guys. 90 years, a whole life of rejection.
- 20:49God's like, Oh no, no, I'm holding him because I want him
- 20:51home. Bam.
- 20:54Because God is so forgiving, so merciful.
- 20:58And to know that God is so forgiving and so merciful, you
- 21:02know, that brings peace. No more condemnation in Christ.
- 21:10None of this rubbish way you think.
- 21:12It's just like, you know, God loves me, God, God would wait to
- 21:17my dying breath to save me. Why would that not bring you
- 21:21peace? You know, Paul says, it's not
- 21:24even my eyes. Paul says I am convinced that
- 21:27absolutely nothing can stop us from the love of God.
- 21:30But principalities, not powers. He's so forgiving.
- 21:36Praise God. So how do we get there as well?
- 21:40Actually, Pastor Rachel did it today.
- 21:43No, she hasn't seen my notes, but Psalms 4610 Be still and
- 21:49know that I am God. There is a time just to sit and
- 21:55go. I'm going to try and control my
- 21:57thoughts. If you're a little bit like me,
- 21:58like a little bit of ADHD actually, I went to the doctor,
- 22:01he said I have HD and apparently I have 80 of them.
- 22:04That's AI said that's a terrible joke.
- 22:07But if you get ADHD, you will definitely understand that.
- 22:18So controlling my mind can sometimes be really hard.
- 22:21So I'll be sitting there and next thing I realize, I've spent
- 22:24some, you know, like the last 10 minutes thinking about something
- 22:26completely different than God. So that's OK.
- 22:28You know, sometimes that's actually OK because there's no
- 22:32condemnation. God's just like, I just love the
- 22:33fact that you're trying to spend time with me.
- 22:36Yeah. Remember.
- 22:38And your gift will become your purpose.
- 22:44So just chill out. Oh my gosh.
- 22:47Anyway, so be still and know that I'm God.
- 22:50Psalms 4611, the Lord of Hostess with us, God, with us.
- 22:56Emmanuel, I'm telling you, if you can get that word into your
- 23:00brain, then into your heart and into every DNA of your body, it
- 23:03will change your life. Because every time you encounter
- 23:07situations, every time you encounter temptations or trials,
- 23:11you just think, oh, God, what's with me?
- 23:15So why would I fear it? I'm not saying it's going to
- 23:17stop bad things from happening, but it removes the fear.
- 23:25This wonderful, wonderful counsellor.
- 23:28Yes. It be still and know that I'm
- 23:30God, I love this word. So that word still is hapu in
- 23:33Hebrew, right? Hapu.
- 23:35Think of shampoo. Yeah.
- 23:37And just like shampoo won't happen overnight, but it will
- 23:39happen if you know what that is. You're as old as I am.
- 23:44Some of you was like, what is that off as an ad?
- 23:46Sorry, kids. All right back way before you're
- 23:49all born anyway. But hapu, Hapu means let it go.
- 23:56Yeah. It's like, oh, how do I be
- 23:58still? How do I be still?
- 23:59How do I still OK, Hapu let it go.
- 24:03And it's. And it's where you let it go so
- 24:06much that you just go. You actually perhaps you fall
- 24:10because you've let everything go.
- 24:12Let it go. What's that song?
- 24:14Oh, that's your generation is a frozen.
- 24:16That's it. Yeah.
- 24:19Let it go. I'm not going to sing it.
- 24:22Oh, yeah. Because they can't.
- 24:24Guys, let it go. It really does actually mean let
- 24:28it go. And and you know why we can let
- 24:31it go? Because Emmanuel, God with us,
- 24:37let it go. We can know God.
- 24:39We can know peace. Let me tell you right now, God
- 24:42does not in his infinite eternity toss night and day
- 24:48worrying about tomorrow. Yeah, think of that.
- 24:54It's like, well, we're like, oh, no, God's like, I'm, I'm, I'm
- 24:59good. You should be good too, because
- 25:01I'm with you because God is peace.
- 25:04And some people like, oh, I thought God was a wrath for God.
- 25:06Well, sure, God will pour out wrath on weakness, but get this,
- 25:10He is definitely at peace with that because he sees as justice.
- 25:16God is at peace with how much he loves you.
- 25:21God is at peace. This part's brutal, but he's at
- 25:25peace placing all of your sin and all of your judgments on his
- 25:30own Son. He's at peace brutalizing his
- 25:36own son so that he could save us.
- 25:39He's at peace with that all your wrongdoings on his own son.
- 25:45Now, the absence of fear does not mean peace.
- 25:49It's it's about knowing God so you can remove fear from your
- 25:53life. Well done.
- 25:54Congratulations. That's like removing a drug.
- 25:56Good getting off drugs, very healthy thing to do.
- 25:59Removing fear really healthy to do that still does not bring
- 26:02peace. True peace actually comes from
- 26:04knowing God. You've got Judges sixth story
- 26:08about a guy named Gideon right now, Gideon.
- 26:11Gideon was basically hiding from the Midianite army.
- 26:14Like there's a Midianite army, they're all around and they want
- 26:17to kill the Israelites pretty bad.
- 26:19And Gideon is hiding. All right, So he's hiding, He's
- 26:22doing work, but he's still hiding technically.
- 26:25And it says that an Angel appears to him and the first
- 26:28thing he says to Gideon is peace be unto you.
- 26:32Fear not. Good theme, right?
- 26:37And then, you know, so Gideon's like, whoa, I've just seen God,
- 26:40rah, rah. I'm hearing from God.
- 26:42And he builds this altar and then judges 624, he says, so
- 26:46Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and he called it the
- 26:49Lord is peace. If you like King James Version,
- 26:53it's Jehovah Shalom. Yeah, that's for the king.
- 26:58That's for the KGB is here. All right, Jehovah Shalom.
- 27:02So how do we know God? How do we find peace?
- 27:05It's by getting to know who he is in his word, get to know his
- 27:10likes, his dislikes, get to know his ways.
- 27:15I, as somebody who studies scholarly, you know, I'm doing
- 27:18the studies and I've done a bunch of other stuff.
- 27:20My #1 difficulty in Christianity is how much we argue over what
- 27:27the Bible does and doesn't say when I just think maybe it's
- 27:32just we should do all of it, you know, And the context of grace,
- 27:37I've had people say, well, John, if you think we should do all of
- 27:39it and that's stone these people and stone them.
- 27:42I'm like, you are the context of the Bible is grace and love and
- 27:45redemption. So do that first.
- 27:49OK? Also, do not fear.
- 27:52Yeah, that's why out there. So how do we get to know, get to
- 27:57know God, get to know his ways and people then say, oh John,
- 28:01you do. I do tend to say it to people.
- 28:03Get to know God's ways, get read the Bible, get into it, get
- 28:06stuck into it, love it. So why, why John, you're trying
- 28:09to tell people you know, control them.
- 28:12No, it's because in Psalms 119 it says this Psalms one 19165
- 28:19great peace. Great peace have those who love
- 28:23your law and nothing causes them to stumble.
- 28:28Great peace, that word, their law.
- 28:31At the Hebrew where there's Torah, it doesn't.
- 28:34It gets that's pretty dodgy translation in general.
- 28:36It's not just laws, not rules, not God in love with the rules.
- 28:40Now the word Torah then means instruction and direction.
- 28:44Yeah. And because laws are part of
- 28:46instruction and direction, it gets translated as law.
- 28:49But if you read this correctly, it says great peace are those
- 28:53who love God's ways, want his direction, they want his
- 28:58instruction. It is those things that will
- 29:02bring great peace into your life because you get to know God.
- 29:08I'm spinning here. No God, no peace.
- 29:11If I can get this through your heads, no God, no peace, no his
- 29:17ways, no God. It's this wonderful circle of
- 29:21life. Just get to know God.
- 29:26It's really not rocket science. Actually, true peace does not
- 29:32come from following or adoring some spiritual leader.
- 29:38It's not in the dedication of study.
- 29:42Peace is not found with escapism in drugs, alcohol, or sexual
- 29:47pleasures. Peace is not found in religion.
- 29:52In fact, I'm not saying that any of these are really bad.
- 29:54I'm just saying peace doesn't come from this and it's not
- 29:58found by rebuking the devil constantly.
- 30:01You know, people like it's the devil.
- 30:04Rachel, I were talking about this this morning.
- 30:06I love what Rachel said. She said this.
- 30:08Whatever you blame, you empower. It's so weird and it's true.
- 30:12I've seen this people who are absolutely obsessed with others,
- 30:17demons everywhere, invited into their life.
- 30:20You know why? Because Satan loves the
- 30:22attention. I don't give him credit for
- 30:24anything. I have dealt with more spiritual
- 30:27matters than some of you will ever see in your life.
- 30:29I've seen some crazy stuff. I don't even care about it.
- 30:32You know why? Because I don't want to give any
- 30:35kind of glory to Satan. Because who you blame, you
- 30:39empower. And when you take
- 30:41responsibility, you are blaming yourself.
- 30:44Then you are empowering yourself.
- 30:46Oh, my marriage is terrible because of demons.
- 30:49No, you need to work on yourself.
- 30:53Satan loves it. He loves getting credit for
- 30:55things he's never done in his life.
- 30:56Oh my gosh, you know what it's like?
- 31:00Sorry, I'm going to finish up. It's like germaphobes.
- 31:05We know that in your body you've got germs and you've got
- 31:09bacteria. If you spend your whole life
- 31:12getting freaked out about that and you focus on the germs and
- 31:15the bacteria in your body, you will end up like a germaphobe.
- 31:18And then what you would do is you'll wash your hands 100 times
- 31:22a day. That's like trying to cast out
- 31:24100 demons a day. But if you have a real view of
- 31:27germs and you think, you know, it's part of life, I can
- 31:30overcome them. How do you overcome them, John?
- 31:32I wash my hands once before meals, that's handy as well.
- 31:38I do not get obsessed about germs, but they're real.
- 31:43But I do not obsess them because peace, fear gone.
- 31:53Don't fear these things. Don't give them power guys.
- 31:57Just find peace. And true peace is found in the
- 32:03Prince of Peace. His name is Jesus by loving his
- 32:09guidance and just loving his ways.
- 32:14Sorry if I come across too much in love with Jesus.
- 32:16Actually, I'm not sorry about that at all.
- 32:19I feel sorry for you because the love of God I just one word,
- 32:27Emmanuel. I'm thinking, I think often I
- 32:31think, God, why? Why do you want to be with us?
- 32:35Like what's the benefit for you? I don't think we'll actually
- 32:40really know. But the benefit to him is so, so
- 32:44high. He sees you as so important.
- 32:47He sees you as so, so high value to him that he was willing to
- 32:52crucify his own Son just to make redemption.
- 32:56I'm like God with us, Emmanuel. Let's pray.
- 33:01Let's pray guys, if you would like to bow your heads, oh
- 33:06musicians. Sorry guys.
- 33:07I got really carried away with what I was doing because I just
- 33:10love telling people how God much God loves you guys.
- 33:14Wonderful revelation.
