Speaker 1: right now with Robert. We're going to talk about the
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Navy League and we've got the Navy Ball coming up
• 0:22
  Speaker 1: here real soon.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: First of all, thank you for your time today, sir.
• 0:25
Speaker 3: Oh, excellent time to talk to you. Let's talk about
• 0:29
  Speaker 3: that Navy Ball.
• 0:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about that.
• 0:31
Speaker 1: And if somebody would like to go, is there still
• 0:33
Speaker 1: time to get tickets to join us for the Navy Ball?
• 0:36
Speaker 3: Yes, indeed. This week is going be great. We will
• 0:39
Speaker 3: need to cut off tickets at the end of the
• 0:42
Speaker 3: week so the Ram Kota can feed us all on
• 0:45
  Speaker 3: October 17th.
• 0:46
  Speaker 2: Very, very nice.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: And yeah, the time is going to be here before
• 0:49
Speaker 1: you know it. Again, the Navy Ball, October the 17th.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: And let's talk about the Navy Ball. This is not
• 0:53
Speaker 1: the first time you've done this. It'll be my first
• 0:55
Speaker 1: time being there, but it's not your first time. Tell
• 0:58
Speaker 1: me a little bit about what happens at the Navy Ball.
• 1:00
Speaker 3: Well, we are a civilian organization, and the Navy League
• 1:04
Speaker 3: is sponsoring the Navy Ball. It's been traditionally an all-Navy show,
• 1:09
Speaker 3: but we want to expand it as our mission is
• 1:12
Speaker 3: to support the maritime services of the United States. And
• 1:15
Speaker 3: as such, we welcome everybody that's interested in it, got
• 1:18
Speaker 3: a child in the military, dated a sailor. Who knows?
• 1:21
Speaker 3: You're welcome. So the Navy Ball is a camaraderie. It
• 1:26
Speaker 3: is tradition. It is some toast. It is food, and
• 1:29
  Speaker 3: it is dancing.
• 1:30
Speaker 1: How long has the Navy League done this event? Is
• 1:32
Speaker 1: this something you've done for a long, long time?
• 1:34
Speaker 3: The Navy League is in its second year of supporting
• 1:37
Speaker 3: the Navy ball. Things have changed. People get older. The
• 1:41
Speaker 3: Reserve Center just didn't have the zip for this particular
• 1:45
Speaker 3: evolution anymore. And as such, we are assuming control and
• 1:50
Speaker 3: we want to make it a viable annual event.
• 1:53
  Speaker 2: Very nice.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: So the event has gone on for a while, but
• 1:55
Speaker 1: it's been under the Navy League for just the last
• 1:58
Speaker 1: couple of years then.
• 1:59
Speaker 3: Yes, yes. We've been developing the Navy League, and we
• 2:03
Speaker 3: hope to be around for a while.
• 2:05
  Speaker 2: I love that.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Now, if somebody would like to get a ticket, I'm
• 2:07
Speaker 1: going to throw a link on our Facebook page to
• 2:09
Speaker 1: make it easy to find, because I see it's NavyLeague-SODAC.org,
• 2:13
Speaker 1: a big long thing. So those are hard to do
• 2:15
Speaker 1: on the radio, but I'm going to put a link
• 2:16
Speaker 1: to make it really, really easy to find. And if
• 2:18
Speaker 1: somebody wants a ticket, can they also just, like, reach
• 2:21
Speaker 1: out to somebody and say, hey, I want to buy
• 2:22
Speaker 1: a ticket or a couple of tickets?
• 2:24
Speaker 3: That's going to be a hard go, but if you
• 2:26
Speaker 3: will find the website, you'll also find a questions, and
• 2:31
Speaker 3: we will take questions such as that and make arrangements
• 2:34
Speaker 3: if we are required. But otherwise, it is an online
• 2:37
Speaker 3: registration for tickets. Very good. $ 65.
• 2:42
Speaker 2: That's fantastic. And that includes a little something to eat
• 2:44
Speaker 2: as well, doesn't it?
• 2:45
Speaker 3: It does. It includes dinner and all the things that
• 2:49
Speaker 3: come with a tradition of celebrating the Navy.
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: Well, I'm excited. I think it's going to be a
• 2:55
Speaker 1: really nice event. And again, it's coming up on the
• 2:57
Speaker 1: 17th of October, which we'll be here. Going to blink
• 3:00
Speaker 1: our eyes a few times and it'll be here already.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: That's correct. I appreciate your time today, sir. And let's
• 3:06
Speaker 3: ship out to the Navy ball.
• 3:07
Speaker 2: I will see you on the 17th. Thank you again, sir.
• 3:10
  Speaker 3: Excellent. Thank you.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Again, the Navy Ball, it's coming up on the 17th
• 3:14
Speaker 1: of October. If you'd like to get tickets, I've got
• 3:16
Speaker 1: a link to the website. Like I said, it's a big,
• 3:17
Speaker 1: long thing, but I've got a link to it at Facebook.com
• 3:21
Speaker 1: slash Sunny Radio and Facebook.com slash Sioux Falls News.
