  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ask you to grab your Bibles and we're going to start in the book of Proverbs 29.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Verse 1, I warned you early in the week that we're going to hear this verse.

  [SPEAKER_01]: More than a few times, and I want to stand by my word.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Traverbs 29 and verse 1, the Bible says this.

  [SPEAKER_01]: You listen to him, tune your hearts, sharp your minds, open your ears, for our 29 and 1 says this.

  [SPEAKER_01]: He that being often reproved.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Hardeneth his neck shall suddenly be destroyed,

  [SPEAKER_01]: We're speaking about this weak, sudden destruction, and we point it out, the ways that God in His grace will give so much opportunity, ample opportunity to those that are ignorant of His commands.

  [SPEAKER_01]: He'll give them the chance to turn so often.

  [SPEAKER_01]: But there are those that no better.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Those of us, I'm not just saying those at group in church, but those that we should have

  [SPEAKER_01]: of what God has told us.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was saved later in life, but you've studied the word.

  [SPEAKER_01]: You know what right looks like.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe you're listening right now and you say, well, brother, my God, I don't know if I put myself in that category.

  [SPEAKER_01]: You are listening today.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I believe, I truly believe that we will be

  [SPEAKER_01]: responsible for that which God allows us to hear for that which kind of illuminates to us.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And there are so many opportunities that you and I are given to hear God's word.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And so to claim ignorance, now there are some that are truly ignorant that had not been not had not had God's truth shared with them, but

  [SPEAKER_01]: The mountains, the streams, the stars themselves, tell of God's glory, so none of us are truly at the end of the day, completely and utterly ignorant, but I understand that God does allow for those that don't know better.

  [SPEAKER_01]: But the claim ignorance when you're not, that's a dangerous game, especially with what we are talking about.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Turn to the book of the Liberty Kiss for a moment, the Liberty Kiss Chapter 10, and verse

  [SPEAKER_01]: The context here is the Tabernacle has just been set up.

  [SPEAKER_01]: God's people are so excited, and God is met with them, Aaron, the high priest, the first sacrifices have been offered.

  [SPEAKER_01]: This is an exciting time.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They are in touch with in tune with their creator, with their leader, with their God.

  [SPEAKER_01]: God is working, and then Leviticus chapter 10 verse 1, and need to have an by who.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I spoke yesterday about how, when you mess with God's work, you run into problems.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Today we're going to talk about God's worship.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Usah touched the ark in second Samuel.

  [SPEAKER_01]: It was being transported by oxen on a cart.

  [SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't how God had prescribed it to happen That's God's work being messed with Eli in his sons, or his two sons, Hoffnide, and Phineas They were messing with God's work the way sacrifice has happened But you can almost make the case that Eli, or I should say his sons, Hoffnide, and Phineas

  [SPEAKER_01]: They were messing with something akin to what I'm going to speak about right now, Leviticus chapter 10 verse 1, and Nadeb and Abahoo, these are Aaron's sons, Aaron's high priest, and Nadeb and Abahoo, his main assistance, his sons.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Nadeb and Abahoo, the sons of Aaron.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Now, pause for a moment here, I've given this context before on the radio broadcast, but

  [SPEAKER_01]: it bears mentioning these two young men had heard God's word.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They knew how God wanted things to be done.

  [SPEAKER_01]: There were chapter after chapter after chapter of God laying out precisely how the sacrifices and how His worship was to be done.

  [SPEAKER_01]: But when you mess with God's work, you invite sudden destruction.
• 4:06
  [SPEAKER_01]: When you mess with God's worship, you invite sudden destruction, and Nadev, a little bit his 10-1.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And Nadev Nabaihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censor and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Which he commanded them not, and there went out fire from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Then Moses said, Aaron, his brother, Moses speaking to his brother, this is Nate Abern by who's uncle, Moses is, this is it that the Lord spoke saying, I will be sanctified in them that come night to me and before all the people I will be glorified.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Moses told Aaron, this is what God was talking about, for much of the book of Leviticus and even in Exodus and all the explanation that was given about how God's work was supposed to be done and native, native out of Ayu Ignorant.

  [SPEAKER_01]: they approached God on their own terms, rather than his.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They had direct instructions, but disregarded them.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I think back to Aaron himself, the people, God's people, worshiping the golden calf and the book of Exodus chapter 32, they created their own method of worship after seeing God's power first hand.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Nade Avenue Bayou may have even witnessed their father's bad decision,

  [SPEAKER_01]: churches today.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes, alter God's work as given inscription.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Now understand, God's word, the Scriptures don't tell us how many songs we're supposed to sing before the preaching.

  [SPEAKER_01]: doesn't tell us precisely when the offering is supposed to happen in the service.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Don't tell us where the announcement should be.

  [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of these, those methodologies and particularities that are up to individual local bodies of believers.

  [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I believe in the local church because what God leads you to do in your neck of the woods may be different and what God leads another person to and a completely different area.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking about

  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying, God didn't give us a divine order of service, but at the same time.

  [SPEAKER_01]: If you alter God's Word, God's worship, God's work, to appeal to the world, prioritizing entertainment over truth.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And it's interesting to me.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I say just that right there, and there are many of you that are thinking right now,

  [SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?

  [SPEAKER_01]: What are you thinking about right now?

  [SPEAKER_01]: What is the Holy Spirit convicting you of?

  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to give you specifics.

  [SPEAKER_01]: The Holy Spirit can.
• 6:59
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to tell you precisely what I'm talking about.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even need to give the vernacular that you are anticipating that I'm about to share with you.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to.

  [SPEAKER_01]: The Holy Spirit can.

  [SPEAKER_01]: A. W. Toes are said this, true worship must be in spirit and truth.

  [SPEAKER_01]: When you mess with God's work as we spoke about yesterday, when you mess with God's worship, you are inviting the promise, the bad promise, the promise of destruction in promise 291, he that being often reproved, hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that, without remedy.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's look at one more.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Go to the book of Acts 1st one from the New Testament.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Turn them myself, the book of Acts chapter number 5, Acts 5.

  [SPEAKER_01]: God's work, God's worship, but look, if you would, we're going to read quickly here verses, beginning of verse number 1, Acts 5.

  [SPEAKER_01]: But a certain man named Nanias, with Sephira his wife sold a possession and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, meaning being knowledgeable of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet.

  [SPEAKER_01]: But Peter said, Nanias, why have Satan filled that heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

  [SPEAKER_01]: While they remained, was it not they know?

  [SPEAKER_01]: And after it was sold, was it not in nine o'clock power?
• 8:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Why has thou conceived this thing in nine heart?

  [SPEAKER_01]: Thou hast not lied unto men but unto God?

  [SPEAKER_01]: Pause over just a moment.

  [SPEAKER_01]: What it appears happens here is in an iris and his wife sold a piece of land and they wanted to look like they were given all of the money to God's work.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And we don't have time to go into the context of what's going on here.

  [SPEAKER_01]: God's people are being extra generous and they were giving and they had things in common and if someone had a problem

  [SPEAKER_01]: Then they would take care of it out of this general fund of this benevolence fund, and an innocent fire.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They wanted a piece of the shine.
• 9:09
  [SPEAKER_01]: They wanted a little bit of the flash, not the faithfulness.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They wanted to be able to say, oh, we did something great.
• 9:15
  [SPEAKER_01]: And so they sold a piece of land, and they misrepresented, and they made it look like they were given, let's just say, for round numbers.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say they sold a couple of acres, and they said, we got $100,000 off of this, and

  [SPEAKER_01]: or $200,000.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And they said, we're going to give this massive sum of money.

  [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to give it all.
• 9:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: But they didn't.
• 9:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: They were holding back.
• 9:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: And that was okay.
• 9:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: Peter told them, if you wanted just give half or a third or a quarter or whatever affection you wanted to, that's completely up to you.

  [SPEAKER_01]: No one demanded you give it all, but when you say you did, you're lying.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Look at verse number five, and Annais hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost, and great fear came on all of them that heard these things, and the young men arose wound him up and carried him out and buried him.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And it was about the space of three hours after when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in, and Peter answered under her, tell me whether you sold for so much.

  [SPEAKER_01]: And she said, yeah, if for so much, then Peter sent her, how is it that you have agreed to get her to tempt a spirit of the Lord, behold the feet of them, which had buried that husband or at the door, and she'll carry the out, then fill she down straight way as feet and yielded up the ghost, and the young men came in and found her dead and carrying her forth buried her by her husband, and great fear came upon all the church and upon

  [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't get to spend what they kept back and it wasn't about the fact I just alluded to it wasn't about the fact that they kept the back.

  [SPEAKER_01]: It's the fact that they lied about it.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Peter said it's a fire.

  [SPEAKER_01]: How much you sell that land for?

  [SPEAKER_01]: You sell for $100,000.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, we sold it for $100,000.

  [SPEAKER_01]: God blessed us and we're giving you it all and God told Peter no, they didn't

  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the number was.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was $2,000, $2,000, $110,000, $10,000 because they wanted to go on a vacation.

  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but they still lied.

  [SPEAKER_01]: They messed with God's wealth.
• 11:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: lied to the Holy Spirit, pretending to give it all while secretly holding it back a thing of aching in the book of Joshua.

  [SPEAKER_01]: He took of the accursed thing, something that was supposed to be God's, a wedge of gold, a wedge of silver, some gold, and a Babylonian cloak, something like that, it belonged to God.

  [SPEAKER_01]: and he and his family were destroyed for it.

  [SPEAKER_01]: You know, people who manipulate financial giving for personal gain or recognition rather than sincerely worshiping God, you better be careful.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Remember that widows might the mites.

  [SPEAKER_01]: The smallest union of measure in the currency of the day and God saw and respected her gift, much more than the pompous and the big shots that wanted to give everything.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Christ asks, how does he use it?

  [SPEAKER_01]: What a thought.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Christ asks how does he use it?

  [SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow on the broadcast we have two more areas.

  [SPEAKER_01]: Two more areas that we must be very careful in our touching of in our messing with.

  [SPEAKER_01]: If we, not out of ignorance, out of knowledge, mess with God's work, God's worshiping God's wealth, it may well be judged harshly.

  [SPEAKER_01]: One more time, proud of 29 one, he, that being often approved, hardened with his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that, without remedy.
