- 0:00Mark chapter 15 let us pray. Holy God, you're so holy.
- 0:10Yes, set apart holy. We love you, God, we love you.
- 0:17We love everything about you. Father, you are the most high
- 0:23God. You are worthy to be praised to
- 0:26the utmost. You are the God of the Jews.
- 0:31You are the God of the world. You are our all sufficient
- 0:36sacrifice. You are our everything.
- 0:39You are the atonement. You are our every breath.
- 0:45You are the very reason that we live and we have our being.
- 0:49And everything was made by you and for you and to you God.
- 0:54We worship you in spirit and truth, for you are worthy to be
- 1:00praised, the only one found worthy to open the scroll.
- 1:05King Jesus, we love you. Lord, open our hearts up to your
- 1:10word today. Speak to us mightily, speak to
- 1:15us boldly, Speak to us with clarity.
- 1:20Jump off the pages and into our hearts and our minds.
- 1:24Let us hide your word and our hearts, God, so that we might
- 1:29not sin against you. Father, Father, us, Father, you
- 1:34are worthy, worthy, worthy to be praised for all of eternity.
- 1:43Lord, we get out of our own way. Lord, we give you center stage.
- 1:48Lord, we give you our whole lives.
- 1:52Lord, we give you every breath and every heartbeat and every
- 1:57thought. God is you and it's to you.
- 2:00Let us take our thoughts captive and make them obedient unto you.
- 2:05Father, we love you. Jesus, thank you for your
- 2:09sacrifice. Thank you for these Holy
- 2:12Scriptures that we hold in our hands and all the promises
- 2:16contained in them. God, let us take hold of those
- 2:19promises. Let us believe in those
- 2:22promises. Let us live on those promises.
- 2:25Let us be found doing what it is that you want us to do today.
- 2:31God, make us obedient. Make us love you more.
- 2:35Father, increase our love for you.
- 2:39Father, increase our desire for you, increase our knowledge of
- 2:48you, Father, but help us, Lord, to put our hand to the plough,
- 2:52help us not to look back, help us to lock eyes and be in
- 2:57lockstep with you. Father, thank you, Jesus, teach
- 3:04us today. Holy Spirit, I get out of the
- 3:07way. It's all about you, King Jesus,
- 3:12hide me and hide my words. I decrease as you increase.
- 3:19Yes, it is all about King Jesus and it'll always be about King
- 3:23Jesus. It's always been about King
- 3:26Jesus. We love you, King Jesus.
- 3:29Yes, come in and wreck us with a holy reverence and a holy awe
- 3:36for your scriptures and for you. Eyes like fire and hair like
- 3:42wool. We love you King Jesus.
- 3:46In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
- 3:50Let's start in verse one. And straightway in the morning
- 3:56the chief priest held a consultation with the elders and
- 4:01scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus and carried him
- 4:06away and delivered him to Pilate.
- 4:09Well, we know that there was a mock farce trial through the
- 4:13evening. We know that Jesus has not slept
- 4:16yet. We know that he has eaten the
- 4:20Passover with his disciples in the upper room that was
- 4:24provided. We know that he was arrested by
- 4:28Judas with the kiss. We know that they led a band of
- 4:32soldiers out there to lay hold of him as if he was some kind of
- 4:36terrorist, as if he was a violent man.
- 4:40And Jesus said, hey, I was with you in the temple daily
- 4:44teaching, and you did not lay your hands on me.
- 4:47They had to come to him in the middle of the night.
- 4:50They had to take him to the Sanhedrin.
- 4:53And it was all a bunch of hoopla friends.
- 4:57And here they're trying to cover their tracks.
- 5:00They're going to bring him before pilot early in the
- 5:04morning. This would have been whenever
- 5:06the Roman courts opened and they would have had all of their
- 5:11legal procedures. This shows us the fact of the
- 5:17matter, the truth that these are reliable witness to what
- 5:24happened in this day. We know that we can stand on
- 5:28this holy Word because of all the minute details that this
- 5:33Bible gives us that tells us that it is accurate and it is
- 5:37true. Let's keep moving.
- 5:39Verse 2. And Pilate asked him, Are you
- 5:43the King of the Jews? And he answered and said unto
- 5:46him, You say it here. Jesus is giving a very vague
- 5:54answer. He's saying, you have said it
- 5:57here. The wicked leaders of this time,
- 6:05the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the Sanhedrin and the
- 6:10scribes and the elders who wish to put Jesus to death here,
- 6:17they're trying to bring up a charge that would make him no
- 6:21friend of Caesar, as if he was trying to be the king.
- 6:26And there was only one king at this time.
- 6:30And so they were trying to be wise in their charge against
- 6:37Jesus as calling him a king. But instead, what did they do?
- 6:42They actually gave him the honor that he deserves.
- 6:48They gave him the title that he deserves.
- 6:51He's the king of the kings, and he is the Lord of Lords.
- 6:55Friends, you say it, it is by your words you are justified,
- 7:01and it is by your words you are condemned. 3 And the chief
- 7:05priest accused him of many things, but he answered nothing.
- 7:10He was silent before his shears friends for and Pilate asked him
- 7:15again, saying, answering you nothing.
- 7:19Behold how many things they witness against you.
- 7:23This is Pilate scratching his head, trying to figure out what
- 7:28is happening. Oh Pilate, he will go down in
- 7:33history as the one who killed Jesus, and we're still talking
- 7:38about him today. But you know, he marvelled at
- 7:43Jesus. Jesus did not behave like all of
- 7:47the men that had gone before him or or who would come after him
- 7:52that would grovel for their life and say and do anything to try
- 7:56to get out of it. Jesus knew what he was here for.
- 8:01He was about his Father's business and he was silent
- 8:05before his shears and led to the slaughter.
- 8:08Friends, he knew that this must happen.
- 8:11It was revealed to him from the foundation of the earth, from
- 8:17all of eternity. He knew that this must happen
- 8:20and it's all going according to plan.
- 8:23And in this moment, it might have seemed like chaos, but
- 8:27Jesus knew that all these things must happen.
- 8:30But woe to the one whom they come through.
- 8:33And it's no different in our day.
- 8:35It's no different in our our friends.
- 8:38There are a lot of things that are happening all around us
- 8:41today that we might feel and think that Jesus and that the
- 8:46Lord God is out of control. There's so much chaos and
- 8:50where's the peace? And it's all going according to
- 8:53plan. Friends, these things must
- 8:56happen, but woe to the ones whom they're coming through.
- 9:00God can use it without excusing it, friends.
- 9:04And here Pilate is marveling. Pilate is trying to figure out
- 9:10if Jesus is going to bring up some kind of defense against all
- 9:15of the accusations, the false accusations that the religious
- 9:20folk are bringing against him. 5 But Jesus yet answered nothing,
- 9:26so that Pilate marvel hears Pilate marvelling at God
- 9:33Incarnate, and he would have done well to release him.
- 9:37He would have done well to listen to his wife who said have
- 9:40nothing to do with this holy man.
- 9:43He would have done well to release Jesus instead of
- 9:47Barabbas. He would have done well to trust
- 9:51his instinct. But he feared man more than he
- 9:53feared God. And that is something that we
- 9:56still do today. The fear of man must go.
- 9:59It must be broke off. We must stand before God, and
- 10:05give an account to God, and trust God, and do the things
- 10:10that God tells us to do before we obey man.
- 10:16Who should we obey, God or man? 6 Now at that feast he released
- 10:24unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7 And
- 10:30there was one named Barabbas which lay bound with them that
- 10:36had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the
- 10:42insurrection. So this Barabbas is Son of the
- 10:46Father is what his name means. And here you're going to see
- 10:50this play on words that we know that Jesus is the only begotten.
- 10:56We know that Jesus is the true son of the Father, Father God,
- 11:04Jesus the Son and the Holy Ghost.
- 11:07We know that Barabbas was just a prototype here.
- 11:14We know that he and his name symbolized something that you
- 11:19and I should take hold of and lay hold of that we are like
- 11:25Barabbas, that Jesus died in our stead.
- 11:29We are the murderers. We are the insurrectionist.
- 11:32We are the ones that were condemned to death.
- 11:35We should have died, but Jesus died in our stead, friends, and
- 11:40that should bring us to our knees, that should bring us to a
- 11:44holy reverence in all that should bring us to worshipping
- 11:49Him and serving Him, and doing the will of Him who took our
- 11:55place, so that we could stand before God Almighty, holy and
- 11:59clean and pure one day. 8 And the multitude crying aloud began
- 12:07to desire him to do as he had ever done unto him. 9 But Pilate
- 12:16answered them, saying, Will you that I release unto you the King
- 12:21of the Jews? 10 For he knew that the chief
- 12:24priest had delivered him for envy.
- 12:28So here we can see that Pilate is good at what he does, which
- 12:35is judging the motives of the people.
- 12:40And he can see through all of their duplicity.
- 12:43He can see through all of their lies.
- 12:46He can see that it's a farce. He can see that it's a mock
- 12:51trial. He could see that they were
- 12:54holding him out of envy. And what was this envy, friends?
- 12:58This envy was that Jesus came in claiming to be God, claiming to
- 13:04be the Son of God, claiming that he had all authority and that he
- 13:09would sit in judgment of them. And they were so used to having
- 13:14everything in their power and sway that they were not willing
- 13:20to give that up, friends. And if we are not careful, we
- 13:24will do the same. We want this life to go the way
- 13:29that we want this life to go. And the afterlife will take care
- 13:34of itself, and we'll worry about that later.
- 13:37And God says you must give an account today, friends.
- 13:41You must give an account for every single day, for every
- 13:44breath. You must give an account,
- 13:47friends. And we cannot just sit on our
- 13:49blessed assurance. We must be found in doing the
- 13:56will of the Father and producing the fruit.
- 13:59We cannot just sit on the sidelines and produce no fruit.
- 14:03Even if we're not producing bad fruit, we cannot just sit and
- 14:07produce no fruit. If you are not producing the
- 14:10fruit that the Father desires, it is proof that you do not
- 14:15actually belong to Him and you will be cut down and thrown into
- 14:19the fire. That is what the Word of God
- 14:22says. If you know Him and if you love
- 14:25Him, you will do the will of the Father.
- 14:28And hear all of these religious folk, they were thinking they
- 14:32were going to get into heaven because of their lineage with
- 14:35Abraham. And that is a word for us today.
- 14:38We're not going to get their friends because of Grandma's
- 14:41faith. We're not going to get their
- 14:43friends because of church attendance.
- 14:45We're only going to get there by doing the will of the Father.
- 14:48Because if we're doing the will of the Father, we know that he
- 14:51is in US and we are in him. And praise God.
- 14:54Hallelujah. We can see it, friends.
- 14:58We're producing the fruit. Friends. 11 But the chief priest
- 15:08move the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto
- 15:12them. How pathetic. 12 And Pilate
- 15:16answered and said unto them, What will you then, that I shall
- 15:19do unto him who you call king of the Jews?
- 15:24Look at that, friends. They got it right in their
- 15:26accusation. They would have done well to
- 15:30listen to what was being said about him.
- 15:34He is the king of the Jews, and he's the king of the world, and
- 15:38he's king of you, and he's king of me.
- 15:41And we are not autonomous. We must serve our king.
- 15:46He is a good king. 13 And they cried out again.
- 15:50Crucify him. 14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why?
- 15:56What evil has he done? And they cried out, the more
- 16:00exceedingly crucify him. 15 And so Pilate, willing to content
- 16:07the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus
- 16:12when he had scourged him to be crucified.
- 16:19Lock in, pay attention. This is paramount to our faith.
- 16:23This is paramount to the walk. We must know that Jesus was
- 16:28innocent. We must know that he had done
- 16:31nothing wrong. We must know that he had chance
- 16:34after chance after chance after chance to get out of all of
- 16:38this, but he chose to stay in it.
- 16:41He could have called down legions here of angels, friends
- 16:45at his disposal to completely annihilate all of the
- 16:50opposition, but he chose to go into it and he did it for you
- 16:55and he did it for me. Praise God, Hallelujah.
- 16:59Look at how incensed they are against them.
- 17:02Look at how they're blinded and delusional.
- 17:04They want to crucify an innocent man.
- 17:07They want to crucify the Son of God.
- 17:09They want to crucify God Incarnate friends.
- 17:13And we do the same today. We want to marginalized and we
- 17:16want to get rid of this Bible. We want to marginalized and we
- 17:20want to get rid of Christianity. Why?
- 17:23Because it calls us into account, it calls us into a
- 17:29responsibility. We must obey the words that are
- 17:34found contained in these 66 books from Genesis to
- 17:39Revelation, nothing added and nothing subtracted.
- 17:42The infallible, inerrant word of God.
- 17:44We must obey them, friends. We must get into it.
- 17:51Read it and understand it for ourselves so that we're not LED
- 17:56astray. And look at how Pilate feared
- 18:01man more than he feared God. He did not want a riot on his
- 18:05hands so that Caesar would come in and dethrone him and take him
- 18:13off of his judgement seat and put another in there.
- 18:18And here Pilot is so worried about the masses that he missed
- 18:24the fact that they were about to murder their long-awaited
- 18:28Messiah. 16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall called
- 18:35the Praetorium, and they called together the whole band.
- 18:41So here we're going to see Jesus mocked.
- 18:45We're going to see Jesus struck this praetorium of all the band
- 18:53of soldiers together. 17 They clothed him with purple, and
- 18:59platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, and began
- 19:05to salute him. Hail, King of the Jews. 19 And
- 19:09they struck him on the head with a Reed, and they spat upon him,
- 19:14and, bowing their knees, worshipped him. 20 And when they
- 19:19had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, put on his
- 19:24own clothes, and led him out to crucify him. 21 And they
- 19:30compelled, 1 Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by coming out of the
- 19:36country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross
- 19:41here. We blew through some verses
- 19:44here, but we need to know that Jesus was crowned with thorns.
- 19:47Jesus had this mock worship and it is pathetic here.
- 19:56He deserved so much more and He will get the worship that he
- 20:02desires. And we would do well to remember
- 20:04that. Every knee will bow and every
- 20:07tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, Jesus is Lord.
- 20:14Can you say that today? Bring that upon your lips.
- 20:17Today, friends, do not let a day go by without acknowledging His
- 20:24lordship over your life, over your situation, over your
- 20:28finances, over your family, over the very next breath in your
- 20:31lungs. Jesus is Lord, He's Lord over
- 20:35the whole earth. Everything is subject to his
- 20:39authority, friends. And here all of these Roman
- 20:44soldiers, the band of them, blasphemously worshipped him.
- 20:52And we see it in our day and our hour.
- 20:55We see it all around with the rise of all the occult and the
- 20:58Satanism. We see it, friends and people
- 21:01make a joke out of it and they think that it's a light thing
- 21:07and God will not put up with it forever.
- 21:11God will not allow it to go on forever.
- 21:15Things will not just go on forever as they are.
- 21:20There will be a clean slate and all of those who take their very
- 21:28last breath and they do not acknowledge Jesus as Lord in
- 21:34this life. They will have to in the next
- 21:36before they are banished into hell.
- 21:40Where the fires never go out, the worm never dies.
- 21:43There's weeping and gnashing of teeth.
- 21:47But if you have breath in your lungs today, it's not too late.
- 21:50Call upon that name and be saved today.
- 21:54Ask him for forgiveness for all the times that you blasphemed
- 21:58His name. Ask him for forgiveness of all
- 22:01the times you took His name in vain.
- 22:05Be healed and be cleansed and be made whole and know that he's
- 22:10not going to count any of your sins against you.
- 22:14He's only going to see the blood of Jesus covering you.
- 22:17But if you take your last breath without acknowledging him as
- 22:22Lord, there's no more salvation for you beyond that.
- 22:30Here they compelled Simon, and there's a whole back story here
- 22:39of Rufus and Alexander being found later on in the in the
- 22:45Bible. And perhaps they were leaders of
- 22:51the faith, and it was birthed out of this moment where this
- 22:56North African man was compelled to carry Jesus's cross, and he
- 23:03actually got to understand what it means to take up your cross
- 23:06and follow me. There's a whole idea here. 22
- 23:14And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is being
- 23:19interpreted, the place of a skull.
- 23:22There's a couple different spots that it could be, but suffice to
- 23:26say this was the place of the skull.
- 23:30This was Calvary here. 23 and they gave him to drink wine
- 23:35mingled with myrrh, but he received it not so.
- 23:39This was a narcotic. This was something to stupefy
- 23:42and numb the pain and Jesus refused it.
- 23:47He needed his senses about him. He was about to pour out
- 23:51blessings upon his mother, give her John the disciple.
- 23:57He was going to pour out blessings and say, forgive them,
- 24:01for they know not what they do. He was about to give up the
- 24:09ghost, and no one took it from him.
- 24:12He laid it down, Don't forget it. 24 And when they had
- 24:17crucified him, they parted his garments, and casting lots upon
- 24:22them, what every man should take. 25 And it was the third
- 24:27hour, and they crucified him. 26 And the superscription of his
- 24:33accusation was written over the king of the Jews.
- 24:38This was written above him. This would be above His head.
- 24:42And as everybody walked by, and they wagged their heads, and
- 24:45they said all kinds of blasphemous remarks to him,
- 24:49there was this above his head. And it was showing them that
- 24:54they were murdering their Messiah.
- 24:56He is the King of the Jews. He is the King of kings, He is
- 25:01the Lord of Lords. He is the only begotten Son.
- 25:05Whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but have eternal
- 25:10life. He is our Savior, and there is
- 25:14no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. 27 And with him they
- 25:21crucify 2 thieves, the one on his right hand and the other on
- 25:26his left. 28 And the Scriptures was fulfilled, which said, and
- 25:33he was numbered with the transgressors.
- 25:37So we know that one of these thieves gave his life to him.
- 25:42And he says, Remember Me when you come into your Kingdom.
- 25:46He knew that he was the King. And what did Jesus tell him?
- 25:50Today you will be with me in paradise, praise God.
- 25:53Hallelujah. We do not see that thief coming
- 25:56down from the cross and walking a Nile and praying a little
- 25:59Jingle and getting dunked in some water.
- 26:02No, he acknowledged him as Lord and he was saved.
- 26:06And that's what you need to do today friends, call upon that
- 26:10name today and be saved. If you confess with your mouth
- 26:13that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised
- 26:17him from the dead, you shall be saved. 29 And they that passed
- 26:22by railed on him, wagging their heads and saying, Ah, you that
- 26:30destroyed the temple and built it in three days, thirty, save
- 26:36yourself, come down from the cross. 31 Likewise also the
- 26:42chief priest mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He
- 26:47saved others, himself he cannot save. 32 Let Christ the King of
- 26:54Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and
- 27:00believe. And they that were crucified
- 27:04with him reviled him. So here, there poking the stick,
- 27:12and they're trying to get some kind of reaction.
- 27:16They want to see him come down. They want to see the legion of
- 27:19angels. And then they will believe.
- 27:22And it does not work that way. We cannot poke God into action
- 27:29to get us to believe. By the time that God acts, it'll
- 27:33be too late. Friends, we cannot just sit
- 27:37around waiting on the moment. We'll just live our lives
- 27:42however we want to live our lives, and then the moment that
- 27:45we see God in all His glory, we're going to give them our
- 27:50lives. It doesn't work that way
- 27:52friends. All those that will kneel and
- 27:56confess Jesus as Lord, if they had not done it in this life, it
- 28:02will not have any bearing on them being able to get into
- 28:07eternity. There is no universalism,
- 28:10friends. You must do it now.
- 28:12You must do it with breath in your lungs now.
- 28:14You must do it on this side. You cannot wait until then.
- 28:18And here they erred grievously. And here they were wanting to
- 28:29get a negative reaction out of God.
- 28:33And the sad reality is that God sometimes leaves people in their
- 28:39prosperity, and it is the chains and it is the tears and the
- 28:46snares that actually lead them off into death.
- 28:50Friends, it does not prove that God is with them and for them.
- 28:56It only acts as a instrument of bondage. 33 And when the 6th
- 29:05hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land
- 29:09until the 9th hour. 34 And at the 9th hour Jesus cried with a
- 29:15loud voice saying, Eloy, Eloy lava Sabatani, which is being
- 29:22interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
- 29:29And we know that God turned from Jesus and he poured out the
- 29:36wrath on Jesus. All the sins of the world that
- 29:42were ever committed, that were being committed or would ever be
- 29:47committed were all poured out on Jesus Christ in this moment.
- 29:52And the union between the Father and the Son was broken in this
- 29:58moment, and it crushed Jesus. 35 And some of them that stood by,
- 30:06when they heard it, said, Behold, he calls Elijah. 36 And
- 30:11one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a
- 30:16Reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone let us see
- 30:20whether Elijah will come to take him down.
- 30:23So of course we know from the book of Malachi that it
- 30:27prophesized that Elijah will come before the Messiah.
- 30:33We know this to be understood as John the Baptist, who had the
- 30:37spirit of Elijah on him. And here they had missed the
- 30:41whole mark. They murdered John the Baptist
- 30:45and their murdering their Messiah.
- 30:48Don't miss it. 37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and he
- 30:55gave up the ghost. What a sobering verse in the
- 31:05Bible. He had every opportunity to get
- 31:11out of it, and he chose not to. What does that say about him,
- 31:16friends? He could have ran and tuck tail.
- 31:21He could have called down the legion of angels.
- 31:23He could have made his case before Pilot.
- 31:28He could have talked his way out of it with the high priest
- 31:32Caiaphas, but he chose to go to the cross and to die and to give
- 31:41up the ghost. For you, friend, and for me.
- 31:46Don't miss it. 38 And the veil of the temple was ripped in two
- 31:52from top to bottom. So this was the entrance into
- 31:57the holiest of holy places. This was ripped from top to
- 32:02bottom, proving that no man could ever have done it.
- 32:05And it shows us that we have access to the holiest of holy
- 32:09places with God Almighty, that through the blood of Jesus
- 32:13Christ we can enter in, and we can boldly come in and make our
- 32:19request known to Father, and that He will answer them through
- 32:23the blood of Jesus. 39 And when the centurion which stood over
- 32:28against him saw he so cried out and gave up the ghost, he said
- 32:33truly, this man was the Son of God.
- 32:37No, he is the Son of God. Friends, the centurion sees all
- 32:44of it, and he no longer thinks that he's just a criminal.
- 32:48He sees the power that was in due to him.
- 32:52He sees that it was all out of envy that they murdered him.
- 32:57He sees that he truly is the Son of God.
- 33:04He is our Emmanuel. 40 There were also women looking on afar
- 33:11off, among whom was Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of
- 33:15James the Less, and of Joseph and Salome.
- 33:19So we know here. This is this group of women who
- 33:24would have followed this rogue St. preacher all around.
- 33:31We know that this was the mother of James and John.
- 33:38We know that this was his group of ladies, which would have
- 33:44caused a lot of controversy to see a rabbi with a band of women
- 33:49following them around 41, who also when he was in Galilee,
- 33:55followed him and ministered unto him, praise God and many other
- 33:59women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
- 34:03Look at how perfect Jesus is. Look at how He was so incredibly
- 34:10loved and lovable, and these women saw him, and they cared
- 34:15for him and ministered to Him. What an amazing verse. 42 And
- 34:21now when the evening was come, because it was the preparation,
- 34:27that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea,
- 34:32an honorable counselor, which also waited for the Kingdom of
- 34:37God, came and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body
- 34:42of Jesus. So we can see here that old
- 34:46Joseph of Arimathea was a rich man, but he loved Jesus.
- 34:50And this is when Jesus said, it's easier for the camel to go
- 34:55through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter
- 35:00into the Kingdom of God. We can see that with man it is
- 35:05impossible, but with God it is possible.
- 35:07And here God uses this rich man to bless the faith and to bless
- 35:13Jesus and to bless the heart of God.
- 35:16And we could see that it is possible.
- 35:18Friends, He craved the body of Jesus.
- 35:25Do you crave the body of Jesus? Do you crave him?
- 35:30I pray that you crave him more than you do food, that you crave
- 35:34him more than you do air that you crave him more than you do
- 35:38water, that you crave him more than you do.
- 35:41Riches and life. Friends.
- 35:44Crave Jesus the way that this man did. 44 And Pilot marveled
- 35:49if he were already dead, and calling unto him the centurion,
- 35:53he asked him whether he had been any wild dead. 45 And when he
- 35:58knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. 46 And
- 36:03he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the
- 36:07linen, and laid him in a sepulchre, which was honed out
- 36:11of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
- 36:1747 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph beheld
- 36:22where he was late. They knew it, they saw it, they
- 36:24saw the whole thing. They were following afar off,
- 36:28and they saw all of these things happening.
- 36:30And they see Jesus being taken down.
- 36:33And Pilate is given a surety that Jesus is dead.
- 36:39Dead. This isn't some trickery
- 36:44friends, this is Jesus being completely dead and it was
- 36:54validated by professional killers.
- 37:01Do not miss this friends, this is paramount to the faith.
- 37:08Jesus gave up the ghost, no one took it from him and we are
- 37:19eternally blessed from this moment.
- 37:21What an amazing chapter in the Bible.
- 37:24I hope you've been blessed by it.
- 37:28I know I sure have. Praying for every single one of
- 37:35you. I love you and so does God.
- 37:42We'll see you back here tomorrow.
