- 0:01Hey listeners, last week in episode 31, David and I did a
- 0:04special podcast on the 2024 Atlantis Gay Cruise schedule and
- 0:08we also chat about what the Gay cruise experience is like.
- 0:10If you haven't already, please go check that out this week.
- 0:14And next week David is back again on the pod for a two-part
- 0:17podcast of mindless random chatter.
- 0:19The very best kind. Here's the first part and next
- 0:22week will be the second part. Enjoy.
- 0:27Hello. Welcome to Heat Hopper.
- 0:28Something off with me, Jess. Joey.
- 0:31Tea back with me this week. It is David.
- 0:35Hi, David. Hello wait, how does it?
- 0:37Because it's reversed. You're looking at the camera
- 0:39like why am? I facing yeah I'm pointing to
- 0:41the right, but it's. Yeah, it's it's reversed by.
- 0:43By the way, there is a video version of this podcast that's
- 0:46available on my YouTube channel, Just Joey T as well as on
- 0:50Spotify. So David is looking at the
- 0:52monitor for the camera and wondering why we appear in it.
- 0:55Edit it out, edit that out. You know, every time we record
- 0:58it, that camera has been there. Yeah, but I haven't, I haven't
- 1:00pointed before, 'cause that's why I'm like, why am I bringing
- 1:04left? OK, that's trippy.
- 1:06That's trippy. Physics or whatever.
- 1:10It's biology, whatever, gravity, whatever.
- 1:13It's not. Gravity.
- 1:14It's just you point. Physics.
- 1:16No, but it's the opposite point. It's like the other oh, it is
- 1:19weird. OK, it's a flip.
- 1:21It's a you're not. It's like a selfie, I think.
- 1:24Is selfie backwards? One of the things about you we
- 1:27talked about this is you very rarely take photos.
- 1:30On your phone is selfie backwards.
- 1:32What do you mean, a selfie? If you take a selfie on your
- 1:34camera, is it the right way or the left?
- 1:36Way actually. On a lot of phones, there's an
- 1:39option to mirror the image when you take.
- 1:41A photo. I flipped them before.
- 1:43Yeah. Because I don't like the way one
- 1:45side looks for some reason, right?
- 1:47They always notice if someone takes a photo of themselves or
- 1:50like a video of themselves in a car and then the front seat I'm
- 1:53like oh they're on the wrong side of like the driver's seat
- 1:56oh with some kind of Australia or like but but it's flipped the
- 2:00image sometimes but they use the selfie camera it's it's flips
- 2:02the image so it looks like oh you're like in a right hand
- 2:05drive car but like you should be on the left hand.
- 2:07Drive well linked to my not using photos too often and
- 2:10editing. I do know like if there's a
- 2:12photo and I'm pretty harsh about my own photos of myself, but if
- 2:16I take the photo sometimes I'm like that looks I don't like it,
- 2:20but if I flip it just like the flip, I prefer it, which is
- 2:23weird because it should be just the same but the.
- 2:25Other way, right? It is the same.
- 2:26Just yeah, it's not. If I'm turning left and right,
- 2:28I'm literally flipping the image.
- 2:29But somehow I prefer one way. That's weird.
- 2:32It's clearly not normal. I mean you.
- 2:37And I think. I think.
- 2:38I can't remember what it is. I think I prefer mirror selfie
- 2:41than a mirror, I think. I think a lot of phones mirror
- 2:44by default on the selfie camera, but not on the.
- 2:47Regular, so I don't know which way I like, but there's one way
- 2:50I prefer it I don't. Know which way you barely take
- 2:52selfies? Yes.
- 2:52Yeah, I mean or or. You don't post a lot of selfies
- 2:55anyways. I actually should post one this
- 2:56year. I haven't posted one this year.
- 2:58Like a thirst trap. You have a oh you you do, you do
- 3:02thirst traps on Instagram Stories.
- 3:04Once in a while, Once in a while, I'll see you like in a
- 3:05towel on your yeah. Yeah, like, what the fuck is
- 3:07this? Would you like to plug your
- 3:09Instagram I? Definitely don't.
- 3:11I am the Off section of the He's Hot But Off podcast.
- 3:16Here's the thing, All the five people that are listening to
- 3:19this now that they heard that you post thirst traps on your IG
- 3:23once in a while, they're all gonna comment below.
- 3:25Be like, what's Steve? It's IG.
- 3:27No. Maybe I don't have one, no.
- 3:28But legitimately, I think people follow me thinking that I have
- 3:31thirst traps and then realize the content I post and then
- 3:33quickly unfollow you. Unblock.
- 3:35You don't post very much. I mean, I.
- 3:36Don't post memes. It's just you do post a lot of.
- 3:39Memes I just post. Memes which I like.
- 3:41They're very have a very awkward, have a very different
- 3:46sense of humour and it does throw a lot of people off.
- 3:49I do have some people I've followed on Instagram where they
- 3:53use it mostly to repost memes like you.
- 3:58Yeah, I collect. Dude, if you know the normal
- 4:02stereotype of a gay man's phone, like, don't swipe through it.
- 4:04Why not just all memes? Oh.
- 4:06From you people can't swipe through my phone, definitely
- 4:10like. Just OK, FYI, don't do not swipe
- 4:13a gay man's phone. If someone gives you a phone to
- 4:15look at the photo, just look at. It no.
- 4:17The thing is, like a gay man would never hand their phone
- 4:19over to someone else who's not like a close friend that's also
- 4:23a gay man. True, true.
- 4:24You'll give me your straight. I'm never gonna hand my phone
- 4:27over to like My. Sister or Karen from finance, I
- 4:30mean. Karen from Finance is everywhere
- 4:32near me. A work person like you're gonna
- 4:33give me some of that straight girl work person?
- 4:35You're right. Yeah, camera from work people
- 4:37are not. Although weirdly, I was being I
- 4:40was being like you, a tech person, and on my phone there is
- 4:44a pin option where you literally pin.
- 4:47They can only use that app. It pins you can do it and I
- 4:51forgot how to do it already because I don't really use it
- 4:53often. But you can.
- 4:54Hey, if you want to use this, look at this photo that I've
- 4:56got. They cannot do anything else,
- 4:57correct? Correct.
- 4:58It's good, but I don't use it too often.
- 5:00I just have a secure folder. Yeah, on your phone you have a
- 5:02secure folder and you can't put stuff in it and it's like you
- 5:04have to have like you have the extra lock on that.
- 5:07So I do some of the videos I have on my phone.
- 5:12It goes into a extra like hidden.
- 5:14I've got a hidden Yep dude all. All gay men do.
- 5:17Honestly, we're not. We're not talking about anything
- 5:20that most gay men don't know about.
- 5:22Yeah, and the rest of them are just like, oh, here, look at it,
- 5:24look at me. It's it.
- 5:26It's the It's like girls don't have a problem with just showing
- 5:29their photo album to just anyone.
- 5:32Or like parents who are like, hey, look at my kids.
- 5:34I'm like, I don't care. I don't care.
- 5:36I don't care. I I don't care.
- 5:37I I don't wanna. Unless they've fallen over, show
- 5:40me a video of them falling over or getting hurt.
- 5:42Oh my God, there are Instagrams. There are Instagram channels
- 5:45about kids getting. Dude, it's called kids getting
- 5:47hurt. I follow it and it's amazing.
- 5:50That was ASMR. Yeah, so follow.
- 5:52Kids getting hurt. It's amazing.
- 5:56It's really and it's really funny because sometimes I think
- 5:59the the people, they get enough people saying that's not funny,
- 6:02that's not funny. And you get a stupid disclaimer
- 6:04like, oh, he was fine and I'm like, who the fuck cares?
- 6:08Just hit him more. Yeah.
- 6:10I don't. The thing of the the thing in
- 6:12the comments section is like if you don't like content on
- 6:18someone's Instagram or Facebook or Ted Talk or whatever, like,
- 6:21just don't follow. Dude, for example the IG is
- 6:24called kids getting hurt you self.
- 6:28Explanatory. Yeah, dude, Like, whatever.
- 6:31Don't. If you don't like watching kids
- 6:32get hurt, Don't watch. Don't follow.
- 6:34Don't comment, dude. Commenting is so much energy.
- 6:36Just give up like for. Some of the algorithms are
- 6:39pretty good too, like the algorithms.
- 6:40Are pretty good. Yeah, yeah, like so if you
- 6:42that's come up, you've looked at something very similar.
- 6:45Yeah, especially on. I get a lot of those comments on
- 6:49some of my YouTube videos, especially the ones that are
- 6:52like after movies of the cruises.
- 6:55And every once, like every week there'll be like a few comments
- 6:58on whatever ones. And it's it's a mixture of two
- 7:02types of people. Mainly, they're the gays that
- 7:05think it's like, oh, that looks like such a fabulous fun time,
- 7:08blah blah blah. So ones that haven't really been
- 7:10on a cruise. Yep, well, most of the
- 7:12commenters haven't been on one of these cruises, so there's
- 7:15there's this people that, oh like this looks like so much
- 7:16fun. The other set of people is like,
- 7:19this looks like hell. Yep, this looks like hell on
- 7:21Earth, but. But both those types of people,
- 7:24in a very generalized sense, have not been on a cruise.
- 7:27Yeah, Yep. Neither, neither.
- 7:29But the people have been on a cruise like they're they're not
- 7:30leaked in the comments. Yep, agree.
- 7:32Mostly most. Of them people know I haven't
- 7:35met a person who's only done one, and that's it for me, all
- 7:41the people I've known, myself included.
- 7:43I'm like, dude, I have to come back and do it more.
- 7:45Yeah, it's relatively rare because when we go on cruises
- 7:48and we've been on a lot of cruises, a lot of the people
- 7:52either it's their first time and they are having a lot of fun,
- 7:55but there are a lot of newbie new cruisers on the cruises
- 7:58these days. Like sometimes half the ship
- 8:01like a sizable ship, sometimes half of them are first time
- 8:05cruisers and from what we can gather a lot of them like it or
- 8:09they're all repeats. So like, I'm not saying
- 8:12everyone, 100% of the passengers will always love every cruise
- 8:16like apparent, let's get into little T apparently there was an
- 8:19Asia cruise recently where and there's always the the people
- 8:23that don't have a great time, that have a lot of feedback that
- 8:25are the most vocal as well. But you know, like maybe what
- 8:28I'm trying to say is like not every cruise is for everyone,
- 8:31but by and large, our experiences, people that have
- 8:35been on a cruise, they tend to want to go on another one.
- 8:38All that one that you're speaking about that was a lot of
- 8:42comment about the cruise line itself as opposed to the cruise.
- 8:46I mean you know it was just sort of critical of the the certain
- 8:50the food, the ship etcetera, which is something you sort of
- 8:52can't change. And I've also I've had in my
- 8:54experiences I would definitely rank certain cruise lines and
- 8:57even amongst the cruise lines certain ships above others.
- 9:00So that's, I think part of possible.
- 9:02Yeah, so you wanted some sculling Hot tea, potential tea?
- 9:08What? Potential tea.
- 9:10Potential tea what happened they So I am booked on the January
- 9:14cruise that's coming up what I'm thinking this.
- 9:17Is old tea, but go on, No. But I'm.
- 9:19Not sure I'm gonna go. That was a tumbleweed.
- 9:27I don't know what a tumbleweed sounds like, but imagine a
- 9:30tumbleweed the. Tumbleweed.
- 9:31Sorry. I thought you were considering
- 9:33getting a roommate. I know, but like, I think it's
- 9:35like I I do love the cruises it's so this is like changing
- 9:38topics a little bit. But I'm thinking about cutting
- 9:40back on not so necessary travels next year until my income kind
- 9:46of really picks up. The thing is the way the way my
- 9:49income right now is it it fluctuates from like week to
- 9:52week. So it's really hard to.
- 9:54It's not like when I get a paycheck and I know what my
- 9:56annual salary is, so, but The thing is like, if you know, if I
- 10:02don't have that much money to throw around, you know, I can't
- 10:04really go on that many vacations.
- 10:06I-100 and support that. I think it's fine.
- 10:09Well, you know you're missing something because you've done
- 10:11them before. It's with all due respect, we do
- 10:13love. Them we do, we do love them.
- 10:15But The thing is, like me personally, like I also have to
- 10:18be a financially responsible adult that needs to make sure he
- 10:22can pay his bills. This is adulting.
- 10:24I'm going to try to pay for my debt next year.
- 10:26Yeah, look, we're both adulting, which actually, the debt is
- 10:29really enough. The debt amount is probably the
- 10:31amount of a cruise. I mean that.
- 10:33I mean it's. Up in Australian dollars, so.
- 10:36The other thing is like I also have EDC Vegas tickets and maybe
- 10:40like you know, like that will be on the chopping block too if my
- 10:43income doesn't pick up. And that's nice you go to like.
- 10:46Yeah, but the but the this is the first thing.
- 10:48The first thing on the chopping block would be the January.
- 10:52First, this is definitely tea, though I didn't know this.
- 10:55So is this good? You You guys found out first?
- 10:57You guys found out first? I mean, I don't think these
- 10:59people care, but I mean you're you're fighting for the first
- 11:01time. I just had that thought like a
- 11:03couple of weeks ago. It's like if I'm not, if I, if
- 11:06I'm not, if I can't have my cash flow, pay my bills, should I be
- 11:09going on expensive vacations? Probably not.
- 11:12I cut off. I cut off.
- 11:13Actually, the last big part I did this year was May EDC.
- 11:16Yeah, I didn't. For a northern summer where I'm
- 11:18normally doing Pride for Europe, I skipped everything.
- 11:22Yeah, you haven't been on like a party trip since.
- 11:24No, not since, mate. Yep, Yeah.
- 11:26And actually thinking about it, besides Mardo, which is a local
- 11:29party, which is way less, is way cheaper for me.
- 11:31Yeah, it was my party. The kind of.
- 11:33Local pride for you. Yeah.
- 11:34So I don't count. So besides the the cruise in
- 11:38January and the EDC, I've been into two events this year.
- 11:40I skipped Europe on purpose, I didn't do a Northern, I didn't
- 11:43do like a market days or a Barcelona or something.
- 11:46This that was my what you're considering.
- 11:49Correct. Correct.
- 11:50Because and I and I went on, I went to a decent number.
- 11:53I did a decent number of party trips like in 2023.
- 11:56So I did both. I did both the Caribbean cruises
- 12:00at the very beginning of the year.
- 12:01Yep. And then I did the Med Cruise.
- 12:05Yep. In Europe.
- 12:06Yep. And I didn't do EDC, but I did
- 12:09market days. Yep, and.
- 12:12You just recently did Taipei. I just did type.
- 12:14Stuff that's like that can be like Q4, that's like your Q.
- 12:17Four part like I've gone on. And the next one is going to be
- 12:20the biggest of the year pretty much.
- 12:22Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:23So Bangkok, I'm going for sure. Yeah, which is only three weeks
- 12:25before the cruise. So I don't think you're missing
- 12:26much, which actually, I think honestly for those who do go to
- 12:29Wapati Bangkok, they do. That's where you're like, OK, I
- 12:33can't skip the January cruise because it's so close.
- 12:35Well, we know some, We know, we know some friends that they're
- 12:39not doing anything or they're gonna have a very quiet New
- 12:42Year's because they're going on the cruise.
- 12:44Yep. Yeah, it's one.
- 12:45Well, people like can can be one.
- 12:46Forget that most people don't party as much as we do.
- 12:49Yep. And most people have real, real,
- 12:51successful paying jobs. Unlike me, I used to be.
- 12:53One of those I I used to be bringing in, like to to think
- 12:58now that the amount of money I was being paid as like that.
- 13:02That's interesting. I quit that job every, every
- 13:06time the credit card bill comes. It's like I can't really use.
- 13:08That money, meanwhile, I've skipped a I've skipped a meal to
- 13:11save money. So I've got to sleep early.
- 13:14I've got to sleep early because I'm like that I'd have to pay
- 13:15for, you know, so. I've been, I've been not using
- 13:17the heat in my house to save money like.
- 13:19I think that's that's. Pinching.
- 13:21Saving. He's also saving the world
- 13:22selfishly, but he's saving the world.
- 13:24So yeah, saving energy. Save me energy and you can
- 13:27electric car now. So super efficient.
- 13:29So look at him. Yeah, I don't.
- 13:30I don't have to pay for gas at. Least not pay for gas.
- 13:32So hanging out, Saving the planet?
- 13:34Actually, it just happens to save your wallet as well.
- 13:37Yeah. So, yeah, it was more of a
- 13:39financial, Yeah. But yeah.
- 13:41So I mean, yeah, like my my income can change very quickly
- 13:45because I'm not on a salary. But also, I know actually with
- 13:48you if we had like a group of like six or seven friends, you
- 13:52would have gone for sure. So whereas no ones going to be
- 13:54more, not no one. But it's not like we have a
- 13:56group planned. So therefore it's like I can
- 13:59skip this. Yeah, we don't have like a crew
- 14:00that's going. Even I'm a maybe.
- 14:03So it's like, yeah, so we're talking about this like you're.
- 14:05Maybe for different? Reasons.
- 14:06Maybe for different reasons, yeah.
- 14:08So but yeah I think it's I think it's that's a wise it's fine
- 14:12especially with what's happening for your future so it's like the
- 14:14more you. I should probably work a little
- 14:17bit more. Not like, not like look for a
- 14:19job, but like I am. I'm working on things that my
- 14:22own business and stuff. That I and he was working and I
- 14:24walked in and stopped him, so I mean.
- 14:26Sorry, it wasn't. No, it wasn't like that.
- 14:27It wasn't like, yeah, but like, my income right now is such that
- 14:30like, I'm always doing things to like bring in more money with
- 14:33myself, employment or my business or whatever.
- 14:35But like, yeah, without getting to specifics, but like, it
- 14:39really varies. Like, I'm trying.
- 14:41I'm doing some stuff this month into January that should
- 14:46theoretically be bringing me quite a bit more money.
- 14:50So exciting. But it's like, I don't know
- 14:51until, like, it happens, right. So you know when it depends on
- 14:55that line of work that you're in.
- 14:57It's not a salary where you know that every month's paycheck is
- 15:00the exact same amount. Yep.
- 15:02Yeah. No, that's good.
- 15:03I think it's wise as an adult as an adult thing.
- 15:08I'm like no adult think things is very.
- 15:10I want to applaud that because I don't do it and I don't I listen
- 15:13to. The child more than you.
- 15:15Think. I think I do, but I do but
- 15:17similar to you. You were just asking me for
- 15:19investment advice last. Week I do.
- 15:21And I invested and lost money. No, I didn't.
- 15:22I didn't. No, because I was moving money.
- 15:25Because I'm like, well this this is a dog.
- 15:27This sounds so stupid because I'm, I feel like a child, but
- 15:30I'm like, well, interest rates are high.
- 15:31Should I keep them into? Here's, here's the thing, Here's
- 15:35the thing. If it makes you feel any sort of
- 15:37better, like, I think, like a lot of Americans don't even have
- 15:45enough money to cover like, like like a small emergency, like if
- 15:49their car breaks down or like their house needs repairs or
- 15:52whatever. And like a lot of Americans
- 15:55don't even have, like, $10,000 in their investments or in their
- 16:00retirement. Now I'm.
- 16:02Like a substantial amount of Americans.
- 16:04I mean, I do party a lot, but I've always lived within my
- 16:09means. So actually I've always, I've
- 16:12never dipped into my savings ever, except the one time to
- 16:15give money to my sister. But that's, you know, because
- 16:17she doesn't look different. So even if it's a small amount,
- 16:20my little goal was, well, OK, it's just putting money for the
- 16:24month. And don't touch.
- 16:24Don't touch that savings just in case.
- 16:27Right. But that's.
- 16:27I guess I'm also enabled. We spoke about like, the healthy
- 16:29privilege to not be sick. Yeah.
- 16:31We just found out one of the land entertainers passed away
- 16:34recently. Yeah.
- 16:35So, yeah, so you know, to for anyone who's, you know, for
- 16:40cancer or chronic illness and stuff, I'm pretty like in that
- 16:42regard. Well, I mean.
- 16:44Generally, as people get older, they, they develop more
- 16:47conditions and their health care cost goes up.
- 16:51So we're relatively young. So that's, you know, the odds
- 16:55are with us for right now. But as we get older, the odds
- 16:57start, you know, kind of falling away from us, yeah.
- 17:01Exactly like Jay, who's like 85 and dying so.
- 17:04The only 85 thought he was 90. 696 kilos.
- 17:06Maybe he looks 96. I think 90 he may be heavier
- 17:10than 96 kilos. I don't.
- 17:12I don't of 96 kilos is. Fat, I thought.
- 17:14He does a I don't know what's that in pounds.
- 17:16That's quite heavy. 96 is like 200 lbs.
- 17:21I think it might be more. 200 and. 80, maybe a little, I don't
- 17:24know. It's over 200.
- 17:25Chat chi to TBT. What is it?
- 17:26I don't know. I don't know.
- 17:28But yeah, I actually don't know what 96 kilos is that healthy?
- 17:31That's what Google is for. Oh.
- 17:33Yeah, true. We don't.
- 17:34We don't need to do that in our heads anymore.
- 17:36Not true. Yeah.
- 17:38But yeah, you know, adulting, it's kind of sort of necessary,
- 17:41but like that. Yeah, we'll see.
- 17:43I mean, I assume it wouldn't be that hard to like sell.
- 17:47Well, actually sell that maybe, I don't know.
- 17:51I thought EDC was going to be hard to sell, but literally this
- 17:53year, like last year, people were literally selling, selling
- 17:56tickets because. You know what EDC plan gets a
- 17:58little easier than sell than like a cabin on a cruise.
- 18:01This is true. Yeah, this is true, but.
- 18:04But I still have my own room for right now on the Jan cruise.
- 18:08So what deck? I'm on deck.
- 18:10I'm gonna see it on camera. I took you out of there.
- 18:13I don't want people to know what where my room is.
- 18:16Well, at least on the big boat, if you would deck you were on,
- 18:18it'd still be pretty fucking hard to find.
- 18:21Yeah, that's true. Yep.
- 18:22I don't wanna say anything. Yep, Yeah.
- 18:25What deck are you on? You don't even.
- 18:28Know you don't. You're not.
- 18:29I have no room. You're on a special.
- 18:31System I'm roomless. You don't know until you're on
- 18:33the ship. And then you're like, this is
- 18:34your room. I'm in the Infirmary, so they're
- 18:37in the Infirmary. Thank you, care team.
- 18:40Thank you. Oh my God, yeah.
- 18:41So I don't know that maybe the Jan cruise might not happen and
- 18:46it would be on the Choplin buck. I don't know.
- 18:48Hell yeah. We'll see how much money.
- 18:50I'm I'm, it's so this stuff I'm trying to do in December and
- 18:53January that should be bringing me more money.
- 18:55Like we'll see what happens. Well, I support that.
- 18:56I skipped. I didn't do the second Caribbean
- 18:59cruise, even though we did either.
- 19:00Chance to as well. Yeah, you're.
- 19:01Not missing that much. Yeah, so like you.
- 19:03So it's the reverse. I've skipped that cruise this
- 19:05year. Yeah, you you you've kind of
- 19:07moderated it a little bit this year.
- 19:10So then, I mean, I got White Party playing coming up, so I'll
- 19:13be budgeting for that. And then and then December this
- 19:16year, was my moving finances around to be sort of smart
- 19:19adulting of things, Yeah. I kind of wanted to come down
- 19:22for Sydney Mardi Gras again, but again, that also depends on
- 19:25money. But it might not happen.
- 19:27Yep, I think. I don't think I'm gonna book it.
- 19:31That's not likely to happen much.
- 19:32You don't missing much. I mean, I was there last.
- 19:34I was there this year. Exactly, you don't, missing
- 19:36much. Yeah, well.
- 19:36You don't missing much. Yeah, so, I mean, but honestly,
- 19:40a lot of people don't get in the US, They don't get that much
- 19:43vacation time. So it's not like one cruise will
- 19:46eat up like a third of all your vacation for the entire year.
- 19:50And you know, like for a lot of people, like, they only go on
- 19:53like one cruise a year because it sucks up so much of a
- 19:55vacation time and they have other things they need to do.
- 19:57Yeah, that was crazy. We.
- 19:58Can make money things that we are not doing I.
- 20:01Felt I felt so ignorant the first time and I was just trying
- 20:03to tell I'm from Australia, like it's so far.
- 20:05I'm like, yeah, but I mean we get like this much annual leave,
- 20:07a year like 4 weeks is minimum. And then I was like, what the
- 20:09fuck And. Yeah, the American vacation
- 20:13culture is quite different. And and those who are like, Oh
- 20:16my God, it's so far away, but like to Australia, but us
- 20:19Aussies, because we're so isolated, we're literally used
- 20:23to flying for a day, two days, losing travel time because we're
- 20:27so far away. So we're used to it.
- 20:28But people visiting Australia, they're like, Oh my God, you
- 20:30guys. So far away, yeah.
- 20:33Quite far, so unfortunately I'm used to it so.
- 20:35But you are also our flight attendant.
- 20:36That's I barely fly all the time.
- 20:38I barely fly, yes. Yeah, it's so weird.
- 20:40It's the when I mix because flying is normally for most
- 20:43people equating with pleasure, normally to travel for pleasure,
- 20:47for vacation. It's a weird mindset to, for
- 20:50example, when I'm here with you, I came in a work trip.
- 20:53Yeah. So for example, tomorrow night,
- 20:54which is a red eye flight. Normally if I've been here on a
- 20:57cruise or party, I'm like, OK, we can do whatever and then I
- 20:59can sleep on the flight home. Yeah, but this one I'm like, no,
- 21:02I have to work the flight. Yeah, you have to like so it's.
- 21:04Actually just a different mindset which.
- 21:05To make sure you get enough rest, like between the the
- 21:09flight that brought you in and a flight that will bring you out,
- 21:12you're working both of those flights.
- 21:13Cover doing Sunday funding. Getting like, drunk as a skunk.
- 21:16Like, right before. Because, yeah, so.
- 21:18Yeah. So whenever David visits me, I,
- 21:22as you can tell, I drag him to do a podcast with me and I'm
- 21:25starting to sell to him as a fun and free activity because we're
- 21:29both being very both trying to be frugal right now.
- 21:32Fiscally responsible? Yeah, So I feel like I've got a
- 21:36fun and free activity line up for us and he's like where it's
- 21:38like podcasting. So, and I tell him it's fun for
- 21:41me and it's free for you actually.
- 21:44That's the name of the podcast, right?
- 21:46He's fun, but he's free. He's not fun, but he's free.
- 21:48Can you please learn the? Name.
- 21:49He's off, but he's not fun. He's funny, but he's not off.
- 21:53He's hot, but something's funny. That came from Jeremy.
- 21:56He's off. That's one of that was one of
- 21:58Jeremy's lines in our group chat.
- 22:00This has like a very Jeremy thing.
- 22:02Yeah, yeah, I I I stole it or borrowed it from him.
- 22:05Well, it's nice that he our. Friend Jeremy came up with the
- 22:07name of the podcast. He also did the artwork for the
- 22:11podcast as well the drawing. I commissioned him to to do a do
- 22:16a. Drawing.
- 22:16Wait, so did he draw a photo of someone who's hot but off?
- 22:21He drew a photo with me. I sent him a photo to use, and
- 22:25he did like a kind of caricature of it.
- 22:28Oh. Wait, I know this.
- 22:28It's the cute one, the red singlet and looking up right.
- 22:31Yeah. Yes, I I think see, I didn't
- 22:33read it, but I saw the. Photo oh OK yeah, that photo was
- 22:37originally a selfie in a gym bathroom.
- 22:41Originally from from a few years ago, but the name of the podcast
- 22:46it came from Jeremy and for me it's referencing.
- 22:48It was not. It's not referencing me, it's
- 22:50just referencing like. A certain person.
- 22:52It's like when you when you when we are talking about someone how
- 22:55like you check out a guy or whatever.
- 22:58Like you check out someone and you're with your friends and you
- 23:01you guys are like, oh how who do you think that guy's fault like?
- 23:04Oh, what about that guy over there like, but one of the that
- 23:07was how that started in the group chat.
- 23:08We were talking about someone, and then Jeremy's like, he's
- 23:11hot, but something's off. It's like, Oh my God, like.
- 23:13It's not a reference to me. Oh my God, his.
- 23:15Paws are huge. Oh my God, no.
- 23:18It's just weird his. Left arm's a bit longer than his
- 23:20right arm. Oh my God.
- 23:22Are you fucking? He's a Republican.
- 23:24Oh my God, That's a lot off. That's a lot off.
- 23:26That's that. That's a lot off.
- 23:28Yeah, that's a lot off. And all your vote subscribers
- 23:30have left. I don't know.
- 23:32I don't think. I don't know how many people
- 23:33listen to this. Republic can't.
- 23:35Republic can't. Jesus, I'm actually, we're not
- 23:39going to get super political, but like, I'm worried for next
- 23:41year's presidential election in the.
- 23:43US Is it the Trump guy back? He's running and he's he's
- 23:47leading the. Polls.
- 23:48Well, isn't Santa Claus he quit or something?
- 23:52George Santos. Yeah, this the gay one.
- 23:54He got expelled. Dude, I didn't even know about.
- 23:56This, not not from the from the House.
- 23:58He's not running for president. But is he gay?
- 24:01Supposedly, but that's probably. A lie from the house, the HAU.
- 24:04SI don't believe that he's gay. I think he now, but everything
- 24:07he said is a lie, so I think. Oh, he pretended to be.
- 24:10Gay. I think he pretended to be gay
- 24:12just to get the gay votes. Jesus, I mean any Oh my God,
- 24:18what is? What tribe is he?
- 24:20I don't know. Bottom Expelled that stripe
- 24:24Party pass around Party Bottom. I I don't.
- 24:26I don't. I don't think he's I don't
- 24:28that's I. Don't think that's yeah, all I
- 24:29know. Because I don't think, I mean
- 24:31for some reason because it's in the zeitgeist.
- 24:33I have a lot of American friends.
- 24:34And so I I see these me and my my understanding of American
- 24:37current history. What what's current history of
- 24:39American modern politics is through memes.
- 24:42So I'm like, wait, what the fuck is this?
- 24:44And then I'm like, oh, so I find out things through memes only.
- 24:47So I'm like, apparently this guy lied about only fans.
- 24:50He lied. About tons of stuff on his like
- 24:53resume and his work history. He claimed to be a Jew, and he's
- 24:57not a Jew, for example. Like the lies.
- 24:59Just so like outrageous that like he's now expelled and like
- 25:05expulsions are very rare. And what, like city does he
- 25:09represent? Minnesota or.
- 25:11Something is he. It's a district in New York
- 25:14State. Oh, so it's a state, but he's a
- 25:15federal person. He's House.
- 25:19House OK anyway, but he's going to.
- 25:22Let that down. Yeah.
- 25:23Which the Republicans? Kicked him out, right?
- 25:25Because they're in power, but the.
- 25:26House has to vote. You have to have 2/3 of the
- 25:28House vote to expel someone. And the House had.
- 25:31The Republicans have a very narrow majority in the House.
- 25:34Yep. Anyway, Santa Claus is gone, so
- 25:36Merry Christmas, Santa. Claus.
- 25:37Wait, isn't it Santos. Santos.
- 25:39Oh. Santos oh, toast Santos.
- 25:42Toast. Toast, Santos, You're.
- 25:46Good with. Puns Santos.
- 25:47Buddy, you should be better than me.
- 25:49BA Felicia or toast? Yeah.
- 25:52He lied about a bunch of he lied about.
- 25:53He lied about so much stuff and he obviously, like, just denies
- 25:57everything. He's like.
- 25:59Which is like, yeah, if if he really is gay, like he just for
- 26:02his own safety. Like, I don't think he should
- 26:05set foot in any sort of gay establishment.
- 26:08Yeah, New York. Watch out.
- 26:09Hell's Kitchen's gonna come for you.
- 26:11I mean, honestly, I don't think any of the Hell's Kitchen gays
- 26:14would would welcome him. So, so besides the lies, as a
- 26:18politician he was sort of toxic, right?
- 26:20And I don't think. He even did anything.
- 26:22OK, he was just. All he was doing was embezzling
- 26:24money. OK, OK, got it.
- 26:26Got. It.
- 26:26I don't think it was even doing anything, so dude.
- 26:28You were just a shit person who lied to get where you were and
- 26:30you got caught and fucked off. Like literal.
- 26:32Like a piece of shit would probably be better than him.
- 26:35Me, I I like. I could run.
- 26:36Pushed up this morning before breakfast was probably better.
- 26:39I could run then. Dude, I'm shit.
- 26:41I'm the shit. I'm the shittest.
- 26:44I'm the shittest. Hire.
- 26:46Replace me, Santos. I'll be your new governor of
- 26:50new. York I I I never intended for
- 26:52this podcast to be. Political.
- 26:56Let's let's switch the topic real quick.
- 26:58OK. Go.
- 26:59Rabies What do you think? About what?
- 27:02What do you think about rabies? I.
- 27:05Don't have thoughts on rabies. Maybe George Santos had them and
- 27:08he was a sad child and he got. That's what I don't know.
- 27:11I don't know. That's how rabies works.
- 27:13I don't know, man. He could lie about anything I
- 27:15want to lie to get into. Well, politics do lie anyways,
- 27:17right? But he was lying.
- 27:19So, like, even by political standards, he was lying.
- 27:22Like where he went to school with the jobs that he had, He
- 27:25was stealing money from like donors and like other people.
- 27:28It was just like. Bad.
- 27:30Good riddance. Yeah, it's like horrible.
- 27:33OK, go away. And we're going to see him on a
- 27:36gay cruise. Wait, can I dress as Jazz
- 27:38Santos? Does he have anything discerning
- 27:40features? I don't know, he looks very
- 27:43generic like. So, not even memorable.
- 27:47You kind of like pretend to be a him Boo.
- 27:50Yeah, I can't parody him all. Right with that will sign out,
- 27:53so. Say bye, David from his off, but
- 27:55something's me oh. My God, bye.
