Speaker 1: Okay, hi, Paul Slackus. Good news. And our Pause the
• 0:09
Speaker 1: World for Peace and our big concert that we just
• 0:11
Speaker 1: did September, broadcasted on September 21st, the International Day of Peace,
• 0:16
Speaker 1: New York City Climate Week event. And so thank you, everybody.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Times Square was packed with tons of people and the
• 0:25
Speaker 1: broadcast went off well. We had a couple of hiccups
• 0:29
Speaker 1: on the process. Some prayers to Steve Vermote. And, uh,
• 0:34
Speaker 1: but however we did, uh, pursue out of the love and, uh, desire, um, and, uh,
• 0:41
Speaker 1: participation of so many people who work on these programs
• 0:45
Speaker 1: all year long. So thank you very much. Thank you
• 0:47
Speaker 1: for supporting us. Our newsletter this way today is the
• 0:50
Speaker 1: 9th of October. Boy, this year has gone by, but
• 0:53
Speaker 1: we're in a Halloween time, my favorite time of the
• 0:56
Speaker 1: year because I'm from Tarrytown and Tarrytown. We'd like to, uh, celebrate, uh,
• 1:02
Speaker 1: all the Sleepy Hollow concepts of life that Washington Irving
• 1:09
Speaker 1: shared with us. All right. So today in our newsletter,
• 1:13
Speaker 1: we finished at least the edit of a six and
• 1:17
Speaker 1: a half hour broadcast. It's really a magnificent show. So
• 1:20
Speaker 1: much talent, so many people who care about peace. Our
• 1:25
Speaker 1: desire here in this show is to see more actionable
• 1:29
Speaker 1: peace scenarios in the world. to inspire those doing things,
• 1:35
Speaker 1: and to report on those people doing good things, okay?
• 1:38
Speaker 1: Our whole show is all about that, talking about the
• 1:41
Speaker 1: good things that people are doing for peace, okay? So
• 1:45
Speaker 1: thank you very much. Go to pausetheworldforpeace.org or our YouTube
• 1:50
Speaker 1: site on Good News Broadcast and watch. We had great partners.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: We had Brad Holliman-Segal, the borough president of Manhattan. We
• 1:58
Speaker 1: had OM. We had Bling One. the K-pop organization, and we,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: his life. So in addition to so many others that
• 2:09
Speaker 1: supported the event. So thank you all for doing that.
• 2:14
Speaker 1: I'd like to say we're going to also give a
• 2:16
Speaker 1: couple of shows cut out, edited out of the six
• 2:21
Speaker 1: and a half hour broadcast. We also show Woodstock Forever,
• 2:23
Speaker 1: a trailer, and two hours and 15 minutes broadcast. movie
• 2:29
Speaker 1: that I started in 1989 in Times Square, in Father
• 2:33
Speaker 1: Duffy Square with Richie Havens to commemorate the 20th anniversary
• 2:39
Speaker 1: of Woodstock. So take a look at that. It still
• 2:41
Speaker 1: needs some editing and we're in discussions to get that
• 2:44
Speaker 1: out to a broader audience. However, we wanted to share
• 2:47
Speaker 1: it this year. And it's really almost a statement of
• 2:52
Speaker 1: the times from 89 to 2021. the 2026, 27, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: All right. And stay tuned. 2027 is going to be
• 3:04
Speaker 1: our 25th anniversary of doing these concerts, humanitarian use of
• 3:09
Speaker 1: media through our nonprofit. Join us. We need help. I'll
• 3:14
Speaker 1: tell you that. 212-647-1212. We need donations. We need participation.
• 3:20
Speaker 1: It's all very, very important to us. So I want
• 3:23
Speaker 1: to thank you. We're going to share some comments we
• 3:26
Speaker 1: made with the borough president for the borough, thanking him, president.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: A little piece of thanking Om, who's already also been
• 3:35
Speaker 1: out there. We're going to have some Heidi Little segment.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: We're going to have, I guess, Reed Stowe is doing
• 3:41
Speaker 1: an event tomorrow on the Saturday on the 10th. Go
• 3:45
Speaker 1: on out there. Reed is the world's greatest sailor. I
• 3:48
Speaker 1: guess you could say 1,152 days. out at sea, and
• 3:51
Speaker 1: now he's been training people what it would be like
• 3:54
Speaker 1: to go to Mars and be on the seas for
• 3:59
Speaker 1: such a long time. That's about how long it takes
• 4:01
Speaker 1: to get to Mars. So a lot of good things
• 4:03
Speaker 1: are happening. We're going to have Andreas Deutschman is going
• 4:07
Speaker 1: to give us an environmental story. Remember, this is the
• 4:12
Speaker 1: way it is. This is Mother Earth from the moon.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: No borders, no boundaries, no colors, no stress okay it's
• 4:24
Speaker 1: all up to us all right we're all in it
• 4:25
Speaker 1: together no bull all right we're in essence john lennonists
• 4:30
Speaker 1: okay that's good listen if you make a nice donation
• 4:33
Speaker 1: you can go out to we have a little place
• 4:35
Speaker 1: out there that's not our whole place we got a
• 4:38
Speaker 1: little apartment in there two bedroom um make a good
• 4:41
Speaker 1: donation to our our non-profit uh we can get you
• 4:46
Speaker 1: out there uh to uh have a moment of silence
• 4:50
Speaker 1: uh with your own life and just enjoy the beautiful
• 4:53
Speaker 1: montauk montauk montauk uh well i mean i don't know
• 4:57
Speaker 1: if this is lastly but you see water not weapons
• 4:59
Speaker 1: pete seger was our buddy water is very important to
• 5:02
Speaker 1: us and then the thursday concert on april 22nd 2027
• 5:05
Speaker 1: uh we're going to focus once again on water which
• 5:09
Speaker 1: we've been involved with for many many years uh Um, and, uh,
• 5:14
Speaker 1: it was just the stance of life, no water, no life. Okay.
• 5:18
Speaker 1: So it's very important. The islands, even Manhattan, you know,
• 5:23
Speaker 1: we're going to need to learn how to swim. Okay.
• 5:26
Speaker 1: So let's protect the waters. Let's be smart and wise
• 5:31
Speaker 1: about our environmental issues. It's a one world. So we
• 5:34
Speaker 1: all are in it together. Um, and there's no differentiation.
• 5:40
Speaker 1: between one place. If there's more water in the Atlantic Ocean,
• 5:43
Speaker 1: guess what? There'll be more water in the Pacific Ocean.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: So that's the nature. That's Mother Nature. And as Dr.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Jane Goodall said many a times, without taking care of
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Mother Nature, you'll never have peace. All righty. Pause the
• 5:56
Speaker 1: world for peace. Thank you very much. And 212-647-1212. Please
• 6:03
Speaker 1: spread the word. We need a nice foundation or philanthropist to...
• 6:09
Speaker 1: Support us. 25th anniversary next year. Come on. We really
• 6:13
Speaker 1: worked hard and stuck with our mission. The stars of
• 6:15
Speaker 1: our show are Mother Earth and peace. And that's the
• 6:20
Speaker 1: way it's got to be. All right. Thank you very much.
• 6:22
Speaker 1: We appreciate you. And we wish you a happy and
• 6:26
Speaker 1: healthy life. Okay. Take care of yourself. Get a calcium scan.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: Know your arteries. Be smart. Okay. For your family, your friends.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: tell them, okay? Check out your arteries. Heart is a
• 6:40
Speaker 1: serious issue. And unfortunately, I've had to deal with it.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: And if I didn't check out my arteries, I could
• 6:45
Speaker 1: have not been around starting in June. So this is
• 6:49
Speaker 1: the way it is. I'm going to check again this week.
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Make sure everything is still cool. And that's it. That's
• 6:55
Speaker 1: part of life, okay? You get older, this doesn't work
• 6:59
Speaker 1: and that doesn't work. But even when you're younger, this
• 7:01
Speaker 1: doesn't work, that doesn't work. Take care of yourself. Eat well.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: Do well. Hey, I lost... How many? 20 pounds, okay?
• 7:12
Speaker 1: And eating well and full balanced meals. That's the only way.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: If I could do that, you know, when I got
• 7:19
Speaker 1: out of the hospital for the heart stuff, the stents,
• 7:22
Speaker 1: they gave me 20 meals. And those meals were well-balanced meals.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: You had your vegetables, you had your fruit, you had
• 7:28
Speaker 1: your protein, you had your carbs. And that's the only
• 7:31
Speaker 1: way to do it. If you don't do it that way,
• 7:33
Speaker 1: you forget about it. You can't miss a meal, skip
• 7:38
Speaker 1: a meal. Three nice meals a day, a little fruit snack, however,
• 7:45
Speaker 1: is good for you. And drink a lot of water.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: Water is crucial to weight loss and to health and
• 7:52
Speaker 1: cleaning out your whole innards. Okay, that's it. No lecturing,
• 7:57
Speaker 1: just love. Peace and love. Sharing is caring. Thank you. Care.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: Hug somebody today. A tree, too, it has similar DNA,
• 8:06
Speaker 1: or a plant, and let's be nice to the animal kingdom.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: In addition to our own homo sapien community. Community. All right,
• 8:15
Speaker 1: see ya. Thanks, bye.
