- 0:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, favorite time of the week.
- 0:04Speaker 1: You get to download the crazy sheet. You get to
- 0:06Speaker 1: listen to Mark and Scotty talk about some college football.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm here in the podcasting studio. Scotty's out on the road. Brother,
- 0:12Speaker 1: how the hell are you? We had a good week
- 0:13Speaker 1: last week.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Man, we did. Fun week.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Man, that was, boy, there were some, man, there were
- 0:20Speaker 3: some good games, some compelling games. We're starting to find
- 0:23Speaker 3: out about who's the real deal, who is not the
- 0:28Speaker 3: real deal. And who is full-on overrated. And there are
- 0:35Speaker 3: officially some coach hot seats. Our man Mike Loxley is
- 0:40Speaker 3: officially on the warmest seat you can physically get. Shane
- 0:44Speaker 3: Beamer is on the officially warmest seat you can get.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Man, we got some hot seats. Man, Oklahoma.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I don't believe that that fan base is ready for
- 0:56Speaker 3: them to go get the ass-whipping they got in Athens.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Last Saturday. I don't think they're prepared to get dominated
- 1:02Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:04Speaker 3: But you will be glad to know that the stats
- 1:07Speaker 3: between Mateer and Arch Manning remain virtually unchanged. I actually
- 1:11Speaker 3: think Mateer may have taken the lead this week in
- 1:15Speaker 3: overall stats. Texas has got a really, really good team.
- 1:21Speaker 3: But Arch just hasn't managed games. My man, Camario Taylor,
- 1:27Speaker 3: just keeps... making plays that you don't expect a sophomore
- 1:32Speaker 3: to make. He went 14 of 15 to end that game, Mark.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I mean, that is impressive. I mean, for a young
- 1:39Speaker 3: kid who's– and look, this line sucks. I mean, it's–
- 1:44Speaker 3: especially their left tackle. I mean, it's just– I mean,
- 1:46Speaker 3: he gets five holding penalties a game. We may need
- 1:50Speaker 3: to start setting the over-under at five holding penalties on
- 1:53Speaker 3: the left tackle a game.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They get tons of penalties up front.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Taylor's all under pressure, has to get rid of the
- 1:59Speaker 3: ball a lot, and still just does a great job.
- 2:02Speaker 3: The kid bounces back from a bad throw as good
- 2:06Speaker 3: as anybody at a young age. And I'm still mystified
- 2:10Speaker 3: that he just hasn't been completely fooled at this point.
- 2:12Speaker 3: It's coming, whether it's Bama or in Baton Rouge in
- 2:15Speaker 3: a couple of weeks or in Austin in a couple
- 2:17Speaker 3: of weeks. You know, it's coming, but the kid just
- 2:21Speaker 3: keeps playing good football and They've got a good backfield,
- 2:26Speaker 3: and they've got a really, really fast group of wide
- 2:29Speaker 3: receivers that does a great job. I think Taylor was impressive.
- 2:35Speaker 3: How about Iowa finishing off the full upset as time expires?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Blew my under. Blew my under, Scott. I'm still there.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I told you to just take the Hawkeyes, baby. I
- 2:48Speaker 2: told you. Told you.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Of course, you told me about Florida, which I did
- 2:55Speaker 3: back off and not bet that. Thank the Lord. Boy,
- 2:59Speaker 3: Florida looked really good. I think the books have not
- 3:01Speaker 3: caught up to how good they are. That Ole Miss
- 3:05Speaker 3: defense is not good. And I think it's going to
- 3:08Speaker 3: give them problems throughout the year. which is what is really,
- 3:12Speaker 3: really surprising. SC has got almost stunned probably some of
- 3:17Speaker 3: our listeners when I say this, but I think of
- 3:19Speaker 3: all the coaches that are on the hot seat because
- 3:21Speaker 3: Riley is probably going to get there. We've got to
- 3:23Speaker 3: see how this record turns out. But very much like
- 3:26Speaker 3: last year, if not this year, when, as we've said
- 3:30Speaker 3: about this team, and it certainly doesn't look like it's
- 3:32Speaker 3: going to be this year, but Riley's probably the guy
- 3:36Speaker 3: of all these coaches that I think Probably if I
- 3:40Speaker 3: were the athletic director, I'd probably bring back for one
- 3:42Speaker 3: more year.
- 3:43Speaker 2: First, he's got a great recruiting class brewing. He is
- 3:46Speaker 2: finally starting to recruit high schools again, so much so
- 3:50Speaker 2: that Dan Lanning makes a smart aleck comment, which kudos
- 3:53Speaker 2: to him for doing it. Hey, you want to actually
- 3:56Speaker 2: win football games. You need to come to Oregon if
- 3:58Speaker 2: you're on the West Coast. And he's right at this point.
- 4:02Speaker 2: But I think he's the guy that they might keep. Plus,
- 4:04Speaker 2: they had some really, really good young players and they
- 4:07Speaker 2: own seventy five million dollars. And USC's not in the
- 4:10Speaker 2: same position from an athletic department that Texas A &
- 4:13Speaker 2: M was. Boy, Texas A & M 0-2 in the league.
- 4:19Speaker 2: They're fortunately going to get to host Arkansas this weekend.
- 4:22Speaker 2: But that team is ungood. And when do they pull
- 4:25Speaker 2: the plug on Marcel Reed?
- 4:27Speaker 1: I don't know where they go, though.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Well, that's the deal.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I don't think they got anybody. None of these, so
- 4:32Speaker 3: many teams don't have a backup. Because all these quarterbacks
- 4:35Speaker 3: that think they can play anywhere bail. and end up
- 4:39Speaker 3: starting and stuff like that. So I agree with you.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I don't know where they're going to go either. It's
- 4:44Speaker 3: kind of fascinating. I mean, to look at Oregon, the
- 4:46Speaker 3: job they did, Dylan Raiola comes in. That guy looked
- 4:49Speaker 3: like a totally different player coming in off the bench.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That's the best that kid's ever looked. And now he's
- 4:55Speaker 3: also on the best team that he's ever been on. So,
- 4:58Speaker 3: you know, but they're one of the only teams in
- 5:00Speaker 3: America that's got depth at the quarterback spot. And it
- 5:03Speaker 3: paid off for him after the concussion. I do want
- 5:05Speaker 3: to talk about that for just a minute. Hey, Riley,
- 5:08Speaker 3: what an awful answer. Why is he on the side?
- 5:10Speaker 1: He's on our team.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Well, you know, we're.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Still trying to coach the kid, even though he could
- 5:16Speaker 3: have responded a thousand ways better. But I'm going to
- 5:19Speaker 3: tell you something. His douchebag celebrating with that kid laying
- 5:22Speaker 3: on the field like that. His dirty hit. He clearly
- 5:24Speaker 3: was trying to hurt the kid. And I don't buy that.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I mean, he could have dove right over that kid.
- 5:30Speaker 3: There are a lot of times where I don't think
- 5:31Speaker 3: you can stop. He took two steps before he hit him.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And it was three steps before he slid. Don't agree
- 5:38Speaker 3: with all that he couldn't have dove over him.
- 5:40Speaker 2: He could have.
- 5:41Speaker 3: He wanted to inflict punishment. And you can tell it
- 5:43Speaker 3: by the way he celebrated with a kid getting stretchered
- 5:46Speaker 3: off the field. Thought his Bush League, if SC had
- 5:48Speaker 3: any character, they'd suspend the kid.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They did.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So good.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Good for them. I have not seen that. Good for them.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He should be suspended. I would have suspended him for
- 5:56Speaker 2: a game or two. And good for them.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I think he's suspended for at least one game. I
- 6:00Speaker 1: don't think when Riley made the comments he had seen
- 6:04Speaker 1: what was going on in the afternoon.
- 6:05Speaker 2: The kids celebrating and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's probably true. So, I mean, take it for what
- 6:09Speaker 1: it was, yeah. But a couple of things. Nick, you've
- 6:13Speaker 1: got out at South Carolina, their top defensive end is
- 6:16Speaker 1: now suspended. Apparently that kid's– and if you look at
- 6:19Speaker 1: anything from what you're reading, I mean, he's a top–
- 6:21Speaker 1: he's a first-day draft pick. And so that's going.
- 6:24Speaker 2: To be– Swinging that helmet is probably going to make
- 6:26Speaker 2: him not one.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Swinging– punching somebody in the face for Bama is not
- 6:31Speaker 1: going to get it done there. But yeah, I mean,
- 6:32Speaker 1: if you're talking big picture teams, couple of things is
- 6:36Speaker 1: the two best teams in the country right now. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: would tell you if you want to have tickets on them,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I would have on Georgia and I would have on
- 6:41Speaker 1: Notre Dame. I've got Notre Dame before the season started.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I think it's still a good ticket. If you go
- 6:48Speaker 1: down to the next tier, this may surprise you, but
- 6:51Speaker 1: where I go from here, I think, I think I
- 6:53Speaker 1: would put Miami in there currently. I think this Miami team,
- 6:56Speaker 1: And it's coming off of what I saw from last year, too. Well,
- 6:59Speaker 1: Mets is the real deal, Mark. Mets is very good.
- 7:03Speaker 1: The defense is getting better. I mean, I know they
- 7:05Speaker 1: had to go up there. Wake Forest put up some
- 7:07Speaker 1: points on them. Wake Forest is actually a pretty good
- 7:09Speaker 1: team with Gio Lopez healthy. But the other thing I
- 7:12Speaker 1: like from this team is that I'm starting to realize
- 7:15Speaker 1: maybe Mario is not going to out-coach himself in this situation.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And I'm taking that away from last year. Because they
- 7:23Speaker 1: had to really win some games last year. in the
- 7:27Speaker 1: playoff run last year. And I think that may have
- 7:29Speaker 1: helped him, helped that team have some confidence. I like
- 7:32Speaker 1: Miami in that next year. Another team I really like
- 7:35Speaker 1: that's coming along is BYU. I think the BYU team,
- 7:39Speaker 1: they know who they are. They've got a true identity.
- 7:42Speaker 1: They're going to out-physical you in those situations. I mean,
- 7:45Speaker 1: their game travels because they play defense. They run the ball.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean, Bear Bachman, I mean, good Lord of Friday,
- 7:51Speaker 1: he weighs 250 pounds. I mean, you can't arm tackle
- 7:53Speaker 1: the guy. And so, I like what you see there
- 7:56Speaker 1: in the Big 12. Real quick, I was there last week.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Shout out to the Sam Houston State Bearcats. Should have
- 8:02Speaker 1: covered that game, by the way. Tech is a complete fraud.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And I know we've got a lot of– they had
- 8:06Speaker 1: two pick sixes by the same player in a nine-second window.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I had never seen that. Two bad special teams plays,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and that was the reason Sam Houston State didn't cover
- 8:16Speaker 1: that game. But I haven't seen any leadership on that
- 8:18Speaker 1: Texas Tech team yet. I don't know when it's going
- 8:20Speaker 1: to get exposed, but it probably is. Offensive line play
- 8:24Speaker 1: is suspect at best, and they just don't seem to
- 8:26Speaker 1: have the defensive leadership. But I did meet Joey McGuire
- 8:29Speaker 1: in the end zone. Told me I had great hair.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Felt pretty good about that as a grown man, you know,
- 8:33Speaker 1: sitting there with my flow. But so, yeah, I think
- 8:36Speaker 1: the Big 12 is completely in play. I really do.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I think that the Oklahoma State team that we saw
- 8:42Speaker 1: week one against Tulsa is probably not the team that
- 8:46Speaker 1: that is going to evolve into. Mestemaker looks really good.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I would list him as one of the top five
- 8:52Speaker 1: quarterbacks in the country. I don't have the stats in
- 8:54Speaker 1: front of me to play that, but I like the
- 8:56Speaker 1: direction that that team is trending. You get into the ACC,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I've got Miami and anybody else. Virginia Tech is trending
- 9:04Speaker 1: up over there. Cal's cute. I think they're going to
- 9:06Speaker 1: get some wins. Clemson, to me, if Clemson somehow manages
- 9:11Speaker 1: to get nine wins out of this season, I will
- 9:13Speaker 1: be blown away because that team is not good. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: cannot tell what their offensive identity is. The quarterback that
- 9:20Speaker 1: they brought in from Frisco, he's a True freshman. He's
- 9:23Speaker 1: very athletic, but he can't get to the second progression
- 9:27Speaker 1: in a defense. And so it's a lot of just
- 9:29Speaker 1: him being physical and him running. That may carry him.
- 9:32Speaker 1: We're going to find out this week when they play Miami.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Big 10-wise, Big 10 is wide open to me. The
- 9:39Speaker 1: best player in the country, I think, plays for them
- 9:41Speaker 1: in Ohio State. But I don't know past that who's good.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Indiana– is good, but Indiana is not the dominant. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: love how people talk about, well, this isn't the Indiana
- 9:53Speaker 1: team we're used to seeing. Well, dude, no one's used
- 9:56Speaker 1: to seeing Indiana being good. This team sucked balls most
- 9:59Speaker 1: of my life, and I'm over it. years old, and
- 10:02Speaker 1: they've had two good seasons.
- 10:03Speaker 2: This is much more like Indiana two years ago than
- 10:06Speaker 2: last year.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Let's just not assume that Indiana's a wagon, all right?
- 10:10Speaker 1: And Hoover wasn't good at TCU, and I think they've
- 10:14Speaker 1: kind of figured out up there that they're trying to
- 10:17Speaker 1: I don't know that he's going to evolve the way
- 10:18Speaker 1: Fernando Mendoza did last year as a quarterback as the
- 10:21Speaker 1: season goes on because he may have too many bad
- 10:24Speaker 1: habits in there. And so I just don't know how
- 10:26Speaker 1: this team's going to grow. But I'm going to say this,
- 10:29Speaker 1: Notre Dame, I'll put Miami right there with them. We'll see.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But Notre Dame, Georgia, Miami, my top three, past that,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I have no idea who else is going to get
- 10:40Speaker 1: in the tournament. But I can tell you this much,
- 10:42Speaker 1: there's 10 teams, 12 teams, that are going to get
- 10:45Speaker 1: in that tournament. And based on what I've laid eyes on,
- 10:48Speaker 1: anybody can win at any given time. Because I think
- 10:52Speaker 1: the NIL, now we've talked about this, but it has
- 10:55Speaker 1: stretched the depth charts so thin across all these teams
- 11:00Speaker 1: that the parity is now there. I mean, you show up,
- 11:03Speaker 1: you have a good game plan, and you execute, and
- 11:07Speaker 1: you get a couple of breaks your way, it can
- 11:09Speaker 1: change the whole game. I mean, look at Mississippi State.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We knew this was a good team But we didn't
- 11:13Speaker 1: think they would hit six wins. They haven't yet. I'm
- 11:16Speaker 1: not putting my mouth on it. But we said last
- 11:19Speaker 1: year this was a better team. And, yes, they have
- 11:21Speaker 1: massive holes. Like the offensive line is not good. Texas,
- 11:25Speaker 1: their offensive line is not good. Arch Manning is not
- 11:29Speaker 1: a quarterback that you can put on the game on
- 11:32Speaker 1: his shoulders, and I think he can take you there.
- 11:35Speaker 1: He's a game manager, and they have somehow managed to
- 11:38Speaker 1: keep everything moving. I mean, last week's game, Colin Simmons
- 11:42Speaker 1: had five of the ten. UT had ten sacks. Ten sacks.
- 11:46Speaker 2: One kid had five sacks. Colin Simmons.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 3: By the way, if we're going to talk about bonehead things,
- 11:53Speaker 3: did you see his mom's quote about what she was
- 11:58Speaker 3: going to do, that she was going to go smack
- 12:00Speaker 3: him in the.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Head or something? It was.
- 12:02Speaker 3: fabulous like first off well y'all don't be too mad
- 12:05Speaker 3: at him you can thank him for the five sacks
- 12:07Speaker 3: and then her next post is but don't make no
- 12:09Speaker 3: mistake he wasn't raised like that I won't be in
- 12:12Speaker 3: his ear it was awesome just a total quote and
- 12:16Speaker 3: I guarantee you she let him have it for doing
- 12:20Speaker 3: that I guarantee you she did which is awesome it
- 12:23Speaker 3: was boneheaded by him but these kids just don't man
- 12:27Speaker 3: this money and.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Oh, we got a little technical difficulty. Let's see if
- 12:35Speaker 1: Scott rejoins us, but no, I see what you're saying
- 12:38Speaker 1: in a sense that the evolution of the game is
- 12:41Speaker 1: changing and it's changing rapidly. And I think right now,
- 12:45Speaker 1: as these teams start coming together, they're really just now
- 12:48Speaker 1: starting to learn who they are and where they're going
- 12:51Speaker 1: to go. We're getting into conference play, but I think
- 12:55Speaker 1: these teams are just now starting to gel and become
- 12:59Speaker 1: good teams. And there's going to be some separation there.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And so, Big picture-wise, product on the field, I enjoy it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think Saturdays are a little bit more exciting than
- 13:09Speaker 1: they used to be as far as just anybody can win.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I really am starting to believe that any given Saturday
- 13:16Speaker 1: a team could come in there and pull an upset,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and I think we'll probably still have some. I don't
- 13:21Speaker 1: like this board a whole lot this week as far
- 13:23Speaker 1: as excitement goes, but you may be there. I have
- 13:26Speaker 1: no idea.
- 13:27Speaker 3: No, I'm not a big fan of this board either.
- 13:29Speaker 3: One other thing, or I guess two things before we go.
- 13:32Speaker 3: We always talk about teams and trending the right way.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Give me Notre Dame and Georgia. We'll split our bet
- 13:38Speaker 3: for that this week. But I'll tell you what else, Mark.
- 13:41Speaker 1: C.J.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Carr, you need to be thinking about him and Mensah
- 13:44Speaker 3: for the Heisman. Because I think both of those guys,
- 13:49Speaker 3: their teams are probably going to be there at the
- 13:51Speaker 3: end of the year. And if you don't get a
- 13:53Speaker 3: Jeremiah Smith winning it, because I think he's clearly the
- 13:56Speaker 3: favorite right now, I think you've really got to look
- 13:58Speaker 3: at these two guys. It's great for Mario Taylor, and
- 14:01Speaker 3: I think he's going to have great stats. He ain't
- 14:03Speaker 3: got any chance to win the Heisman. That schedule is
- 14:04Speaker 3: way too hard. Man, they hit a rough stretch coming up.
- 14:07Speaker 3: They got Bama this week. They're off, and they're at LSU,
- 14:12Speaker 3: home to Oklahoma, at Texas. I mean, man, that's three really,
- 14:17Speaker 3: really good defenses. Four, because I don't think Alabama's defense
- 14:21Speaker 3: is very good. We'll talk about that when we get
- 14:22Speaker 3: to the state Alabama game. I think that's a score
- 14:24Speaker 3: fest unless the weather's bad this weekend, which it does
- 14:27Speaker 3: look like it's going to rain, which I think probably
- 14:31Speaker 3: hurts both of these offenses a ton because I don't
- 14:33Speaker 3: think Alabama runs football very well either. That freshman's all
- 14:36Speaker 3: they got. I don't think Hill's nearly as good. So
- 14:39Speaker 3: it'll be interesting to see Fluff Bockwell's banged up for
- 14:42Speaker 3: Mississippi State. So anyway, we'll get into all that. But
- 14:44Speaker 3: I think Carr and Mensah are two legit Heisman guys
- 14:47Speaker 3: outside of Smith. Man, I think you start stretching to
- 14:51Speaker 3: find somebody other than those guys, unless it's maybe a
- 14:54Speaker 3: Gunnar Stockton. I mean, I think that's what you're down to,
- 14:58Speaker 3: unless we have somebody just come out of nowhere this
- 15:01Speaker 3: last little bit.
- 15:02Speaker 2: So anyway.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Scott, you know what I'll tell you? Right here. I
- 15:07Speaker 1: got it keyed up for you. shit this is when
- 15:12Speaker 1: you know you're getting too old when you can't operate
- 15:14Speaker 1: your phone anymore it's like nobody else has to set
- 15:18Speaker 1: yours up.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Great night be cool and have a great night you
- 15:30Speaker 2: gotta love Camario baby super.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Camario my two best takeaways from last week and then
- 15:35Speaker 1: we'll get the hell out of here and get started
- 15:37Speaker 1: this week Camario Taylor I need to cut that, pull
- 15:40Speaker 1: the cowbells out of the background. But, yeah, I mean,
- 15:42Speaker 1: tell everybody, y'all be safe, be smooth, and have a
- 15:45Speaker 1: great night. And they close it out. And then I
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't know if you saw PJ Fleck, but when this
- 15:50Speaker 1: dude is not done– when he's done coaching at Minnesota
- 15:53Speaker 1: or whenever he is and he ends up on TV,
- 15:56Speaker 1: somebody has them a jib. Because did you see the
- 15:58Speaker 1: post-game interview where he's literally got, like, his player's blood
- 16:01Speaker 1: on his face? He's, like, wiping– he's cleaning the kid
- 16:04Speaker 1: up and getting ready to go. I mean, the dude's wild.
- 16:07Speaker 2: He is wild.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Hey, and speaking of, let's don't get past that great
- 16:11Speaker 3: win for Minnesota on the road. They put it on
- 16:14Speaker 3: Washington on the road in a tough environment to play.
- 16:18Speaker 2: We said that was a better football team going into
- 16:20Speaker 2: the year.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I questioned it after State went up there and pounded them,
- 16:24Speaker 3: and I don't think that's the case. I think this
- 16:25Speaker 3: is going to be an 8-9 win Minnesota team.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I completely agree with you. I think the
- 16:32Speaker 1: Washington team is a bit broken to me. Something's not
- 16:35Speaker 1: operating right up there. I can't quite put my fingers
- 16:39Speaker 1: on it, but something's just not right. And one team
- 16:41Speaker 1: I'm going to give a shout-out to, a couple of them, UCLA,
- 16:45Speaker 1: Bob Chesney.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Damn.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Wagon. I mean, how about laying two and a half
- 16:51Speaker 1: to Maryland and then just going up there.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Going pound town. I mean, took them to pound town.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Absolutely crushed those guys. Yeah, you're right there. And I
- 17:02Speaker 1: think there's a couple upsets this week, Bruin. This is
- 17:05Speaker 1: one of those cards this week that you look at it,
- 17:08Speaker 1: and first off, the 11 o'clock window may be the
- 17:11Speaker 1: best window to watch. And then after that, it's just
- 17:14Speaker 1: kind of all the way through. But you're going to
- 17:16Speaker 1: end up with some wild-ass games. It always happens this way.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I'm so pissed off that State is getting Bama at
- 17:23Speaker 3: 11 a.m. Now, let me tell you, The last three
- 17:25Speaker 3: times that Mississippi State has beaten Alabama, and you do
- 17:28Speaker 3: have to go back a couple of decades to get
- 17:30Speaker 3: to three wins. I think it's two and a half
- 17:33Speaker 3: decades to get them to three wins. They've all been
- 17:36Speaker 3: day games, and two of them have been at 11 o'clock.
- 17:38Speaker 3: So take that into consideration. But it's total BS that
- 17:44Speaker 3: this game is not a night game and not a
- 17:46Speaker 3: Marty ESPN game or an ABC game. It's a complete
- 17:50Speaker 3: joke with the schedule that the SEC is rolling out
- 17:53Speaker 3: there this week. I mean, it's a total joke, but
- 17:55Speaker 3: they're taking care of Bama. They're taking care of Bama.
- 17:58Speaker 3: That's the bottom line. If this game is in Tuscaloosa,
- 18:02Speaker 3: there is no damn chance it's at 11 o'clock.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Zero.
- 18:06Speaker 2: So tired of the SEC protecting those guys.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You know what? I am so happy to hear you
- 18:14Speaker 1: upset with the SEC because you've heard me say it
- 18:17Speaker 1: for years. I'm like, man, the SEC has brainwashed y'all.
- 18:21Speaker 1: and to just chant SEC, and we're the best conference.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I said, ain't no we.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's been Bama and Georgia, and mainly Bama, that's carried
- 18:29Speaker 1: that flag for the better part of 10, 15 years.
- 18:32Speaker 1: And I said, everybody else just gets to tag along
- 18:34Speaker 1: with it.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I mean, there's too many schools that have won in
- 18:37Speaker 3: the last 20 years. I mean, you've got too many
- 18:39Speaker 3: schools that have won natties to say that.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I agree. But I get what you're saying.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's a Bama. It's the same thing that the Big
- 18:47Speaker 1: 12 had with Texas. in a sense that Texas ran
- 18:50Speaker 1: the whole league. And finally, everybody got tired and left.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And that's why the whole thing fell apart, basically. I mean,
- 18:57Speaker 1: A & M left, Nebraska left, Colorado left. Everybody got
- 19:01Speaker 1: tired of being a Texas Central League. The only thing
- 19:04Speaker 1: that was smart was that When Slav put the SEC
- 19:08Speaker 1: together and pulled it all together, he got everybody so
- 19:11Speaker 1: much money and turned the product into such a dominant
- 19:14Speaker 1: thing that nobody can go anywhere. I mean, I've never
- 19:17Speaker 1: heard anybody talk about leaving the SEC.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Well, you looked at their viewership.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You combined the 11 o'clock window, and they had over
- 19:27Speaker 3: 11 million people watching SEC games at 11 o'clock Saturday.
- 19:32Speaker 3: And then the Ole Miss games, basically the same thing.
- 19:35Speaker 3: They went over 10 million. When you include those games,
- 19:37Speaker 3: that game that was opposite the Ole Miss-Florida game, their viewership,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I would tell you Sankey's done an awful job on
- 19:44Speaker 3: negotiating TV deals. They ought to be making significantly.
- 19:49Speaker 2: More money than they are.
- 19:50Speaker 3: And just, oh, by the way, whoever let CBS, let
- 19:58Speaker 3: them get away, let the SEC get away, ought to
- 20:01Speaker 3: be fired.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I don't know if he's still at CBS, but that
- 20:04Speaker 2: guy ought to be gone. I don't care who it is.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Because they paid the Big Ten more money, significantly more money,
- 20:12Speaker 2: and they've got shitty games. At 2.30 in the afternoon,
- 20:17Speaker 2: the worst decision ever.
- 20:19Speaker 3: But Sankey's done a bad job on negotiating that TV deal,
- 20:23Speaker 3: although I think streaming is coming, and.
- 20:27Speaker 2: That's where the SEC is really going to get paid.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Can you imagine Apple TV or Prime, which I would think,
- 20:33Speaker 3: and Prime being the best of the groups, can you
- 20:36Speaker 3: imagine if it puts out there the three big streamers
- 20:40Speaker 3: between Apple– Netflix and prime what they would pay to
- 20:47Speaker 3: get a couple of sec games a week. I mean,
- 20:50Speaker 3: even if they got that two 30 game again, what
- 20:52Speaker 3: they would pay. Oh, it's just completely unbelievable what that
- 20:56Speaker 3: number would be. And I think, I think that's, I
- 20:59Speaker 3: think that's coming, but I think that also may be
- 21:01Speaker 3: if there's another.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Round of expansion, uh, does, does that, does that happen?
- 21:07Speaker 3: So anyway, no speculating, but yes, I am pissed off that,
- 21:12Speaker 3: Mississippi State and Alabama is at 11 o'clock and that
- 21:15Speaker 3: the league is protecting Alabama.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Oh, goodness gracious. All right, let's dive in, Scott. A
- 21:25Speaker 1: couple things we got here. Let's get to Thursday first.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You got a couple games in here Thursday. New Mexico
- 21:31Speaker 1: State at home against Western Kentucky. If I'm going to
- 21:34Speaker 1: lay it, I would lay it with New Mexico State here.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Western Kentucky is not a very good football program, but
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm probably not going to get involved in either one
- 21:42Speaker 1: of these. Tulsa, North Texas, cute story. I would lean
- 21:46Speaker 1: North Texas getting one and a half here against this
- 21:48Speaker 1: Tulsa team. This North Texas team has actually impressed me.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Tulsa's got some dogs on that defense, but their poor
- 21:54Speaker 1: showing last week against Arkansas really led me to believe
- 21:59Speaker 1: that they may have just got enough gusto to get
- 22:01Speaker 1: that big one punch in there, but I don't know.
- 22:03Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 22:04Speaker 1: And then Nardog having to travel down to Vatek to
- 22:08Speaker 1: play James Franklin. line here is minus three over unders
- 22:12Speaker 1: 54 and a half to any of those games. Tickle
- 22:15Speaker 1: you on Thursday night, Scotty.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I like, I like Thursday pit.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I think it's Friday, but, uh, North Texas, I do like,
- 22:22Speaker 3: I think they're going to, I think they're going to
- 22:23Speaker 3: win that game, but I think this Pittsburgh, Virginia tech games,
- 22:26Speaker 3: one of the most fascinating games of the week.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah. I want to take Narduzzi.
- 22:30Speaker 3: This looks like a great opportunity because Virginia tech has
- 22:33Speaker 3: looked good, but not great. Um, uh, But every time
- 22:37Speaker 3: I do, I get just filleted every time I ever
- 22:40Speaker 3: try to take Narduzzi. So I'm not going to go
- 22:43Speaker 3: for that again.
- 22:45Speaker 2: But you are the early week first half under guy.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Does 28 and a half give you any love for
- 22:53Speaker 3: Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh first half?
- 22:57Speaker 1: The only problem is both of these. Yeah, let's go.
- 23:00Speaker 1: 28 and a half first half under. Friday night, short week.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I'm back, baby. You got to score five fucking times
- 23:07Speaker 1: to win this game. I'm on it. Half a unit.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Give me pizza money on it. I haven't bet one
- 23:11Speaker 1: of these in a long time. I used to live
- 23:13Speaker 1: on these things, man. And then everybody started getting involved
- 23:16Speaker 1: in the first half on these. Liberty, Delaware, and then
- 23:20Speaker 1: Penn State, Northwestern are the other Friday night games. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: would lean with Delaware here getting plus seven. I think
- 23:26Speaker 1: they've done pretty well. If you haven't watched Nicky Minicucci
- 23:29Speaker 1: play ball yet, get you involved in that. But this
- 23:32Speaker 1: Liberty team, too, is starting to play a little bit
- 23:34Speaker 1: better ball. So I'll use this as a data point.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Wouldn't jump off. Probably would take Delaware with the points.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Northwestern at home getting a host, getting only two and
- 23:44Speaker 1: a half. This is a big line swing from what
- 23:46Speaker 1: was predicted to be six and a half. Penn State
- 23:48Speaker 1: may quickly be realizing that, ooh, maybe we fired James
- 23:52Speaker 1: Franklin a little bit too early, and then we went
- 23:54Speaker 1: and hired a whiter, more boring version of James Franklin
- 23:58Speaker 1: that is just going to help us be mediocre with
- 24:00Speaker 1: Iowa players. Rocco Beck looked fucking terrible last week. I
- 24:04Speaker 1: haven't seen anything that tells me that this team is
- 24:07Speaker 1: the best. Northwestern opening up their new stadium Friday night,
- 24:12Speaker 1: getting two and a half in this one. If it
- 24:14Speaker 1: was a three, I'd probably get involved. Haven't gotten there yet,
- 24:17Speaker 1: but looking forward to seeing the Purple Cats up on
- 24:19Speaker 1: the north side of Chicago there. Big matchup Saturday, Scott.
- 24:28Speaker 1: One that everybody will be watching. How about some Toledo
- 24:32Speaker 1: traveling to Testicle Tech? Toledo laying 19.5 on the road
- 24:36Speaker 1: over under 52.5. Toledo's 3-1 straight up and 2-1 against
- 24:39Speaker 1: the spread. 4-0 to the over Both of these teams
- 24:46Speaker 1: are dead nut overs for different reasons. Toledo can still
- 24:50Speaker 1: move the rock and score. Ball State, one of the
- 24:54Speaker 1: worst teams in the MAAC this season. I really believe that,
- 24:57Speaker 1: given a 37-and-a-half a game, I would lean to the
- 25:00Speaker 1: over in this one. I think you've got a MAAC play, though.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I do.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I like what? Well, you know what?
- 25:05Speaker 3: I like this game, too. But these are both huge lines.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I like Western at Buffalo. I knew Western was going
- 25:11Speaker 3: to look like they did against Boise. I think they
- 25:13Speaker 3: bounced back. I think this probably is the best team
- 25:16Speaker 3: in the MAAC. Lay in 13-and-a-half at Buffalo, the team
- 25:19Speaker 3: that's not playing very well. And then you've got Toledo, 19-and-a-half.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Take your pick.
- 25:23Speaker 3: They're at Ball State, both on the road, but both
- 25:26Speaker 3: two of the better teams in this league. I think
- 25:28Speaker 3: they both pound their opponents this week for a little
- 25:30Speaker 3: match-in as we get rolling in conference play in the MAAC.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I'll tell you, the other team's not– Miami of Ohio,
- 25:37Speaker 1: I may lay it at 13.5 on Miami of Ohio
- 25:40Speaker 1: gets Bowling Green.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Bowling Green is ungood.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Bowling Green is averaging eight points a game thus far,
- 25:51Speaker 1: and they're not physical at all. I thought South Florida
- 25:55Speaker 1: would wallop those guys, and they just could not get
- 25:58Speaker 1: it rolling. They went 14-6. But, yeah, they have scored
- 26:01Speaker 1: double digits twice or one time Bowling Green has. and
- 26:05Speaker 1: that was in a 20-13 loss to Tarleton State. Now,
- 26:09Speaker 1: Tarleton's pretty good, but, man, that Bowling Green team, I
- 26:13Speaker 1: would not watch this one. I would tune out if
- 26:15Speaker 1: I were you. Florida State, Virginia. This line stinks to me.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Virginia laying two and a half on the road at
- 26:25Speaker 1: Florida State. Florida State, I think, is getting a lot
- 26:28Speaker 1: of street cred for their game against Alabama that they
- 26:30Speaker 1: hung around with there. Quarterback there still holds the ball.
- 26:35Speaker 1: too long. And this Virginia team, I think is getting
- 26:38Speaker 1: downplayed after that loss that they had, you know, and
- 26:41Speaker 1: so a loss that they had to, to West Virginia.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I mean, this Virginia team can run the rock. They're
- 26:48Speaker 1: very physical. I like what they're doing here. I would
- 26:51Speaker 1: take Virginia. Haven't done it yet, but if I were
- 26:53Speaker 1: going to get involved, I could get involved with Virginia
- 26:56Speaker 1: minus two and a half on the road at Tallahassee.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I'm not sure how much of a home field advantage
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's going to be down there. I think the fans
- 27:03Speaker 1: are super ready to get rid of Norvell. And I
- 27:06Speaker 1: just kind of wonder what they've got left. So go
- 27:08Speaker 1: ahead and give me Virginia minus two and a half.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I like that one. Next game on the board, I
- 27:13Speaker 1: kind of looked at Scott. I like the under in
- 27:16Speaker 1: the Georgia Vanderbilt game, 51 and a half. Georgia, if
- 27:20Speaker 1: you've watched these guys play, first off, they're 4-0 against
- 27:23Speaker 1: the spread, 4-0 straight up, and they're 4-0 to the over.
- 27:27Speaker 1: But I think the Vandy defense is going to bend
- 27:29Speaker 1: their neck a little bit, hang around in this one.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And Georgia just wants to run the rock. And, I mean,
- 27:35Speaker 1: they're just going to grind you out, grind you out,
- 27:37Speaker 1: grind you out. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat
- 27:41Speaker 1: this team 35-7, but that's where I would lean to
- 27:43Speaker 1: go under 51. I don't know how Vandy's going to
- 27:46Speaker 1: score in this one. Any thoughts?
- 27:48Speaker 3: You know, look, Georgia has been– and I will tell you,
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm about three-quarters wonder if Kirby's watching what the score is.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I mean, it was like he did just enough against
- 27:58Speaker 3: Arkansas to make sure he covered. I mean, they had kids,
- 28:02Speaker 3: they were running drills on the sideline. I mean, it's
- 28:05Speaker 3: like we're not getting enough work on the field, so
- 28:07Speaker 3: let's go ahead and have some practice over here on
- 28:08Speaker 3: the sideline. This team is really, really good. That Vandy
- 28:13Speaker 3: quarterback is young. I think this defense is going to
- 28:16Speaker 3: give him all kinds of problems. So I do think
- 28:19Speaker 3: this has a very good chance to stay under. But
- 28:22Speaker 3: I think Georgia, I certainly wouldn't want to bet against
- 28:25Speaker 3: this line because I think this may end up exactly
- 28:28Speaker 3: like that Arkansas game. This may end up, you know,
- 28:33Speaker 3: 35 to 14, and they've gone under, and they've drilled Vandy.
- 28:37Speaker 3: You know, so I would be nervous about taking this line.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Georgia is a really, really good football team.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Next one, I like, give me Miami laying 16 and
- 28:49Speaker 1: a half against Clemson. I think this is a mismatch. Obviously,
- 28:53Speaker 1: the line presents it that way, but I think this
- 28:56Speaker 1: is the first game we see Miami get really up
- 28:58Speaker 1: for it. since earlier this season when they opened up
- 29:01Speaker 1: against Stanford. This Clemson team is a mismatch. I don't
- 29:06Speaker 1: see it. I cannot put my eyes on this team
- 29:09Speaker 1: and tell you, yep, they're going to be able to
- 29:11Speaker 1: hang around in this one. Clemson got lucky in North Carolina.
- 29:14Speaker 1: They should have won that game, much less covered. They
- 29:16Speaker 1: got some breaks in that Cal game so that they
- 29:19Speaker 1: pulled this one out. I think this team is lucky
- 29:21Speaker 1: as hell. They're playing with the fucking horseshoe in their
- 29:25Speaker 1: ass to be 3-1 at this point right now. They
- 29:27Speaker 1: could have lost every single game they have played. Dabo,
- 29:31Speaker 1: to me, is done. I'm done with this rhetoric. I'm
- 29:34Speaker 1: done with all of it. The freshman quarterback cannot read
- 29:37Speaker 1: past the first read in the defense. I think Miami's
- 29:40Speaker 1: going to give them all kinds of fit, and I
- 29:42Speaker 1: don't think this team's physical nor fast enough on defense
- 29:46Speaker 1: to hang around the Miami Hurricanes. Give me swagger wagon
- 29:49Speaker 1: minus 16.5.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you this on Miami.
- 29:53Speaker 3: This is a game that they have to, in my mind, cover.
- 29:58Speaker 3: because of what LSU did to them, because it is
- 30:02Speaker 3: entirely likely that these teams may need resume difference at the,
- 30:11Speaker 3: at the end of the year. I mean, look, Miami
- 30:13Speaker 3: and Notre Dame played the exact same team. One of
- 30:16Speaker 3: them called the dogs off and one of them ran
- 30:19Speaker 3: it up. And ultimately that was why Miami got in. Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 3: You know, So I think you've got to look at,
- 30:28Speaker 3: is Miami going to have to put the hammer down
- 30:31Speaker 3: and blow these guys out the same way LSU did?
- 30:35Speaker 3: And I agree with you, they're going to be fired up.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Weather is going to be a concern for a whole
- 30:39Speaker 3: swath of the country in the southeast this week. So
- 30:43Speaker 3: I'm interested to see how much rain we get, what
- 30:46Speaker 3: it does to the field and the play and things
- 30:49Speaker 3: like that. But Miami needs to drill them and needs
- 30:53Speaker 3: to cover this. And it doesn't need to be, you know, candidly, 31-14.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It needs to be 45-14.
- 30:59Speaker 3: You know, and 31-14 still covers and will still win
- 31:06Speaker 3: us some money. But they need more than that. And
- 31:09Speaker 3: I certainly don't think Clemson will be able to keep
- 31:12Speaker 3: up with this offense. I really don't think that's going
- 31:14Speaker 3: to happen.
- 31:16Speaker 1: A couple others I got in here, Scotty. Memphis at Charlotte.
- 31:20Speaker 1: You going to roll against Charlotte there? Smooth 2-2.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I think I may bet against them every week. I mean,
- 31:25Speaker 3: now look, I bet on them at Oxford. But that
- 31:29Speaker 3: was before the Kiffin Bowl. You know, I won't bet
- 31:33Speaker 3: on them again. I think Memphis will drill. I think
- 31:35Speaker 3: they'll drill them. I don't think Charlotte is very good
- 31:39Speaker 3: at all.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Oh, goodness gracious. Moving through the couple other board games
- 31:45Speaker 1: that we've got here, Coastal Georgia, Marshall James Madison. Next
- 31:49Speaker 1: one I like, give me Notre Dame minus 21 traveling
- 31:52Speaker 1: to North Carolina. This is a bigger game for, I think,
- 31:56Speaker 1: this Notre Dame team than we realize it's 11 o'clock kick.
- 31:59Speaker 1: And here's where I'm at with this. This Notre Dame
- 32:02Speaker 1: team to me is the number one team in the
- 32:04Speaker 1: country until otherwise proven in my rankings. That's what I've
- 32:07Speaker 1: got them at. And this North Carolina team, though I
- 32:11Speaker 1: think they are overachieving. I do not like having an
- 32:14Speaker 1: inexperienced quarterback matchup against this Notre Dame defense. And so
- 32:19Speaker 1: I think this Notre Dame team works. These guys, they're
- 32:22Speaker 1: three in one straight up. I think they keep on winning.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I mean, Notre Dame, we talk about having a two
- 32:26Speaker 1: game schedule when they play Miami and they play BYU.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I think there's some truth to that, but at the
- 32:31Speaker 1: same time, you've got to go out. You've got to
- 32:34Speaker 1: win these games. I think Notre Dame gets it done
- 32:36Speaker 1: because this is a team that can't afford to have
- 32:38Speaker 1: any losses. And so, I don't think you can let
- 32:40Speaker 1: teams stick around here. I like Notre Dame. Give me
- 32:43Speaker 1: anything under 21. If it goes over 21, I won't
- 32:46Speaker 1: touch it. I might even buy this down to 20
- 32:48Speaker 1: and a half to get the hook. If it pops,
- 32:50Speaker 1: give me Notre Dame minus 21. My two favorite plays
- 32:52Speaker 1: are giant numbers that I'm laying so far. You got
- 32:55Speaker 1: any love for me there?
- 32:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I like Notre Dame in this game too.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I think mainly because I don't think UNC is going
- 33:00Speaker 3: to be able to keep up, and I do think
- 33:02Speaker 3: they're going to have trouble. They have to run the football.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I think it's Notre Dame defense is very, very good
- 33:06Speaker 3: at the line of scrimmage. I think they're going to
- 33:09Speaker 3: do enough to shut them down, put some pressure on
- 33:10Speaker 3: the quarterback, create some turnovers. I think Notre Dame goes
- 33:14Speaker 3: on the road and hurts UNC's feelings.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I love it. Love everything about it. Navy Air Force
- 33:26Speaker 1: over under 46 and a half. You're going to hear
- 33:30Speaker 1: about it. You're going to hear about all the stats.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Service Academy under Service Academy unders folks. I'm going under 46.5
- 33:37Speaker 1: on this one. And here's why. Navy's not healthy. They
- 33:41Speaker 1: are not nearly as dynamic as a football team as
- 33:44Speaker 1: they were last year. I think they're not healthy. If
- 33:47Speaker 1: I can get Air Force minus 2.5, I'm getting involved.
- 33:50Speaker 1: But I'm going to go under 46.5 in the Service
- 33:52Speaker 1: Academy game. And when Army and Navy play and the
- 33:55Speaker 1: under-under is 36.5, you're damn right I'll go under in
- 33:57Speaker 1: that one too. Go ahead and give me the under
- 33:59Speaker 1: in Navy and Air Force in that one. Not even
- 34:02Speaker 1: going to dig deep into it. You got me lucky.
- 34:04Speaker 1: You got any love for Tennessee and Auburn there?
- 34:06Speaker 3: I got nothing for you there.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I feel like that that game should be high scoring.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I think it should be, too.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Both their quarterbacks make too many mistakes is what scares
- 34:17Speaker 3: me about the over.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Well, see, I'm the other direction. I think their quarterbacks
- 34:22Speaker 1: make too many mistakes, and I think you could– And
- 34:25Speaker 1: that leads to the over. Yeah, take the over.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Well, they're going to make mistakes. There's no doubt about it.
- 34:31Speaker 3: And I don't think either one of those defenses is good.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Tennessee's is the better of the two defenses. I think
- 34:37Speaker 3: Auburn's defense, in fact, is not very good at all.
- 34:40Speaker 3: But I think we're going to get some mistakes in
- 34:44Speaker 3: this game. And I think as a result, we're probably
- 34:47Speaker 3: going to get some points. But this is a must
- 34:49Speaker 3: win for Tennessee. I mean, after last week, this is
- 34:52Speaker 3: a must win.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I totally agree with you. Completely agree with
- 34:58Speaker 1: you here. And I think this Tennessee... Again, I would
- 35:01Speaker 1: go over here. I think you guys... Last week with
- 35:04Speaker 1: Texas going under, I get it. Tennessee's defense might be
- 35:08Speaker 1: their best unit on the field. They want to run
- 35:10Speaker 1: the rock, and that's my only hesitation. I don't have
- 35:12Speaker 1: anything involved. UCF getting 11-and-a-half, traveling down to play Houston.
- 35:19Speaker 1: You're going to have some weather in this one. It's
- 35:21Speaker 1: going to be raining. It's probably going to be windy.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Look at the weather, folks. If you're listening to us,
- 35:26Speaker 1: all 1,000 of you that download every week are having
- 35:28Speaker 1: a weekend. If the wind's over 15 miles an hour–
- 35:32Speaker 1: You may want to take a gander at some first
- 35:34Speaker 1: half unders. Last week, every weather game that was including
- 35:38Speaker 1: the NFL that had winds over 15 miles an hour
- 35:42Speaker 1: that were sustained and even had some rain, none of
- 35:44Speaker 1: them went over in the first half, not one. And
- 35:47Speaker 1: so just take a look at your weather. You can
- 35:48Speaker 1: actually go to chat now and say, hey, where is
- 35:51Speaker 1: the weather over 15 miles an hour? And it might
- 35:54Speaker 1: be raining and it'll come back and tell you. So
- 35:56Speaker 1: just take a look. Easy use of your phone if
- 35:59Speaker 1: you want to. So I would definitely pay attention to
- 36:01Speaker 1: that one. Michigan and Minnesota. Michigan having to bounce back
- 36:06Speaker 1: after that nut-ripping loss to Iowa. Minnesota getting five and
- 36:12Speaker 1: a half at home. You think the Golden Gophers can
- 36:15Speaker 1: pull an upset two weeks in a row on Michigan?
- 36:18Speaker 2: I think these teams are going to fight in a
- 36:20Speaker 2: phone booth. I really do. I think this is going
- 36:24Speaker 2: to be a defensive struggle.
- 36:26Speaker 3: I think the Michigan offense is not as good as
- 36:30Speaker 3: the Minnesota offense. I think you're going to see better
- 36:33Speaker 3: quarterback play from the Gophers than you're going to see
- 36:36Speaker 3: from Michigan.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I actually like Lindsey. I think he's a pretty good
- 36:39Speaker 2: little quarterback. I think he's got a great arm.
- 36:43Speaker 3: They're talking about how this was supposed to be such
- 36:45Speaker 3: a great quarterback draft.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Who the hell is it?
- 36:47Speaker 3: Hell, Lindsey's probably going to be as highly ranked as
- 36:50Speaker 3: anybody by the time the season's over.
- 36:52Speaker 2: So, I mean, is it Arch? You're going to take
- 36:54Speaker 2: his ass first.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I mean, look, I'm a Steeler fan. I'd be pissed
- 36:58Speaker 3: off if the Steelers took him in the first round.
- 37:01Speaker 3: That's the truth. You know, I think he's more of
- 37:03Speaker 3: a game manager. So, I mean, I just think Lindsey's
- 37:07Speaker 3: probably as good as anybody. I think he's going to
- 37:10Speaker 3: be a good player. But I think these defenses are
- 37:13Speaker 3: going to dominate these games. And I think it's going
- 37:15Speaker 3: to be low scoring. And that means you're getting a.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Home underdog and almost six underdogs.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Give me many.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Of course I want many plus the five and a half.
- 37:25Speaker 3: They're a live dog, Mark. They're a live dog this week.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm on board with this. I love this. Next one,
- 37:32Speaker 1: I've got another Houston game. Give me UTSA minus an
- 37:35Speaker 1: 11 and a half. I'm not going to dig deep
- 37:37Speaker 1: into this one, but this Rice team can't move the ball.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I think their quarterback's out this week. UTSA, team's starting
- 37:44Speaker 1: to look a little bit like a wagon. Three and
- 37:46Speaker 1: one straight up. Three and one against the number. Laying
- 37:49Speaker 1: 11 and a half here. I'd get on this game early.
- 37:52Speaker 1: I don't know whether it will affect this one a lot.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I think it will definitely help UTSA. Give me UTSA
- 37:57Speaker 1: minus 11.5. There's a gross one for you. Wisconsin, Michigan State.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Wisconsin laying 10 seems like a lot to me. But
- 38:07Speaker 1: this Wisconsin team is better. Curtis Joseph is playing better here.
- 38:12Speaker 1: But I haven't seen him take off yet. But just
- 38:15Speaker 1: laying– Lay in 10 now with Wisconsin. Sorry, I misread that.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Seems like a lot to me. You got any involvement
- 38:21Speaker 1: in that one? I do not have any involvement, but
- 38:23Speaker 1: I agree with you.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I think Michigan State covers 10.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you've got to look at Purdue, Illinois.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Purdue getting 10 against Burt Bielema. I would go over here, 61.5,
- 38:35Speaker 1: huge number. But both of these teams are high, high-octane offense.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And the other thing is Purdue's defense is hot garbage.
- 38:43Speaker 1: They're giving up 40 points a game. Haven't shown that
- 38:46Speaker 1: they can stop anybody, but they can score. I would
- 38:49Speaker 1: lean to the over in this one. Probably will wait
- 38:50Speaker 1: a little bit longer to get involved, but we'll keep
- 38:53Speaker 1: that thing rolling along. South Alabama, Louisiana, Monroe. I would
- 38:57Speaker 1: go South Alabama if you're going to play anything there.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Boston College, SMU. Fighting Bill O'Brien. Getting 21 at the Ponies.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Do you think– I mean, SMU, I don't know if
- 39:08Speaker 1: you've watched them yet, but they're kind of a one-man team.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Jennings is carrying that whole team right now.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yep.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I don't know that I would want to lay 21.
- 39:16Speaker 1: This BC team is way better than I expected them
- 39:19Speaker 1: to be. And they're not scared to play slow as
- 39:21Speaker 1: a snail's pace. They're averaging 18 points a game and
- 39:24Speaker 1: they have two wins. And so I might get involved.
- 39:30Speaker 1: with that. I haven't gotten to the window yet, but
- 39:32Speaker 1: that SMU team is one injury away at quarterback to
- 39:36Speaker 1: really being on the struggle. From 500. Yeah, he's carrying
- 39:39Speaker 1: that whole team there. Texas Tech at Colorado lined opened
- 39:42Speaker 1: at 14. It's down to 12. I probably am going
- 39:47Speaker 1: to pass in this one. I think Colorado is not
- 39:49Speaker 1: very good. I also think Texas Tech is a total
- 39:52Speaker 1: paper tiger. Probably would lean to the under in that
- 39:55Speaker 1: one at 50 and a half. I haven't gotten there yet.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Next play I got, though, give me New Mexico laying
- 40:01Speaker 1: 22 against UTEP, baby. This UTEP team is bad. I
- 40:05Speaker 1: think the coach there's experiment is over. hasn't been able
- 40:10Speaker 1: to get it done. And this New Mexico team, they're good.
- 40:13Speaker 1: This was not an anomaly to see them play good
- 40:17Speaker 1: against Oklahoma. This is a good football team. They play physical.
- 40:21Speaker 1: They're very well coached. They'll be very buttoned up. Their
- 40:24Speaker 1: defense has given up 11 points a game.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Give me the Lobos at home.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Against UTEP in this one here.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I like it.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Look, you know I'm a Jason Eck fan. I saw
- 40:36Speaker 3: some guy put out his list of coaches for USC.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Look, I love Jason Eck. But if you think they're
- 40:43Speaker 2: going to hire him, you are too dumb for me
- 40:47Speaker 2: to talk to.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Just from a look standpoint, there's no way they're going
- 40:52Speaker 3: to stick him on the sideline as the head coach
- 40:55Speaker 3: at Southern California.
- 40:56Speaker 2: It's just not going to happen. Mississippi State, bring him on, baby.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I'm all for it. But that ain't happening in L.A.
- 41:04Speaker 2: It's just not.
- 41:05Speaker 1: It's just not.
- 41:06Speaker 3: But I love Jason Eck. I think he's awesome. I
- 41:08Speaker 3: think he'd be a great football coach. I do think
- 41:12Speaker 3: his size is going to hurt him on some jobs,
- 41:15Speaker 3: and I think there is a list of three or
- 41:18Speaker 3: four coaches that every school in America ought to be
- 41:20Speaker 3: talking to, and Jason Eck's one of them.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I totally agree with you here. I love this guy. Iowa,
- 41:29Speaker 1: plus 14 at Ohio State. You going to break that
- 41:32Speaker 1: one down for me?
- 41:33Speaker 2: Man, come on.
- 41:35Speaker 3: You know I like me some Iowa. I mean, this
- 41:38Speaker 3: is such a great.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I don't want throwing the ball last week. They had
- 41:44Speaker 1: 220 yards offense.
- 41:45Speaker 2: You got to love it, baby. Look, they're coming home.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I've seen this team do some great things at home.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I mean, that's just the... That's over the years.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Think about all the fabulous games we have had.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Here comes... Ohio, look, hell, we ain't got to go
- 42:06Speaker 2: past last year.
- 42:07Speaker 3: This same situation, an Oregon team comes down there and
- 42:12Speaker 3: barely got out of town with a win.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I mean, hell, they shouldn't have won.
- 42:16Speaker 3: I mean, years ago, what was that, 2016, 2017, when
- 42:20Speaker 3: Penn State was so good, and they scored as time
- 42:23Speaker 3: expired to win the game, and that was the hell
- 42:27Speaker 3: they got.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Penn State got upset over there one time.
- 42:30Speaker 3: I mean, there have been some huge games in Iowa
- 42:33Speaker 3: City In this exact setup, I don't know that they're
- 42:36Speaker 3: going to win, but I think we're going to get
- 42:38Speaker 3: a really, really good football game. I think 14 and
- 42:41Speaker 3: a half is too much. Hell, I think the hook
- 42:43Speaker 3: may be the difference in this deal. But are you
- 42:45Speaker 3: going to tell me that you can't see this being
- 42:48Speaker 3: a one possession ball game and it coming down to
- 42:51Speaker 3: the bitter end, even though Ohio State is the better
- 42:54Speaker 3: football team?
- 42:55Speaker 2: Absolutely. I can see it.
- 42:57Speaker 3: I mean, this is a team that found a way
- 42:58Speaker 3: to blow a 21 point lead against Texas and you know,
- 43:03Speaker 3: or a 20-point lead, whatever it was. And yet you're
- 43:06Speaker 3: going to tell me they're just going to magically go
- 43:09Speaker 3: and be a four-quarter great football team on the road
- 43:12Speaker 3: in what is a tougher environment than Austin? Because Austin
- 43:15Speaker 3: ain't that tough of a place to play, just FYI.
- 43:18Speaker 1: There's a whole hell of a lot of.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Places worse, and Iowa City's one of them. Man, yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 3: give me the Hawkeyes. I think they bounced back two
- 43:25Speaker 3: in a row, baby, two great games, not necessarily two wins.
- 43:29Speaker 3: But would it surprise you if they won? Would you
- 43:33Speaker 3: wake up on Sunday morning and be like, yeah, man,
- 43:34Speaker 3: I don't know how the hell that happened?
- 43:36Speaker 2: No, you wouldn't.
- 43:37Speaker 3: You'd be like total Iowa, figuring out how to get
- 43:41Speaker 3: it done on a home game, big home game. I
- 43:43Speaker 3: think it's going to be a one-score game. I think
- 43:46Speaker 3: Ohio State wins, but I think it's a dogfight.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Next one, I've got BYU traveling to TCU to play
- 43:53Speaker 1: this one here. This is funny. TCU thinks everyone is
- 43:56Speaker 1: their rival. I don't know why. I had dinner next
- 43:59Speaker 1: to a guy from TC the other night. I told
- 44:01Speaker 1: him I went to Baylor and he got mad at me.
- 44:03Speaker 1: And I'm like, you're so strange, man. This is the
- 44:06Speaker 1: most irrelevant school of all time. Why do you get
- 44:09Speaker 1: angry about anything? It's like, You had a flash in
- 44:11Speaker 1: the pan and no one remembers anything except you're the
- 44:14Speaker 1: purple team that got waxed by Georgia in the natty.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I don't understand it at all. They hate everyone. And
- 44:21Speaker 1: I just don't think they have any friends. It's like
- 44:23Speaker 1: a school of legitimate midgets that are pissed that they're
- 44:26Speaker 1: only as tall as the bottom of the woman's titties.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't get it. Anyway, give me the boys in
- 44:31Speaker 1: special underwear minus six and a half. BYU getting it
- 44:36Speaker 1: done here. I think this defense steps up. This TCU
- 44:40Speaker 1: team has been erratic, but BYU is super fizz. I
- 44:43Speaker 1: like BYU here to carry this one. Plus, he could
- 44:46Speaker 1: have some back end of the weather and some wind,
- 44:48Speaker 1: and I'm going to take the team with the better
- 44:50Speaker 1: running attack in BYU here laying under a touchdown. Give
- 44:54Speaker 1: me the boys in special underwear. I'm excited.
- 44:57Speaker 2: This might be my favorite game of the week. Really?
- 45:01Speaker 2: A road.
- 45:02Speaker 3: A road favorite. I just told you it was my
- 45:04Speaker 3: favorite team, maybe the favorite game of the week. I
- 45:06Speaker 3: just think they're going to bludgeon TCU. This TCU offense sucks.
- 45:11Speaker 3: I mean, it's not going to go score a ball.
- 45:13Speaker 3: They're going to get punched in the mouth. I think
- 45:16Speaker 3: BYU is going to wear them down. Look, we watched
- 45:20Speaker 3: a team that's not nearly as good as BYU in
- 45:22Speaker 3: North Carolina do this to start the season. They're going
- 45:25Speaker 3: to come in, they're going to bludgeon them, and they're
- 45:28Speaker 3: going to win this game. And I think they're going
- 45:29Speaker 3: to win it pretty easily. I think they win this
- 45:31Speaker 3: by 14 or 17 points. I like BYU here a lot.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Alabama, Mississippi State, Scotty, in that 11 o'clock window, seeing
- 45:42Speaker 1: the over-under at 59 and a half, seeing Alabama lay
- 45:46Speaker 1: at six. I'll give you my breakdown here. I would
- 45:50Speaker 1: think this game for years went under. Saban would just
- 45:54Speaker 1: put this team in a box and just wear them down.
- 45:58Speaker 1: And you'd look up, and it would be 30-6. And
- 46:01Speaker 1: it was never close, and it was never exciting. What
- 46:04Speaker 1: we've got now is something completely different. We have two
- 46:07Speaker 1: very explosive young quarterbacks in this game. Both of these
- 46:11Speaker 1: kids are playing, in my opinion, well beyond their age
- 46:14Speaker 1: and the amount of games they've got under their belt
- 46:17Speaker 1: at the Division I Power 5.
- 46:19Speaker 2: And their friends.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Did not know that. Learning something new every day. But
- 46:24Speaker 1: I'm going to say this. I think both of these
- 46:26Speaker 1: quarterbacks are going to cause problems for these teams. I
- 46:29Speaker 1: do think Mississippi State's going to run out of gas
- 46:31Speaker 1: at some point. And I don't know if that means
- 46:33Speaker 1: they get blown out. I don't know if that means
- 46:35Speaker 1: they lose a game they're not supposed to. But they
- 46:38Speaker 1: have been playing way over their heads at this point.
- 46:40Speaker 1: And I like it. I like everything about it. I
- 46:42Speaker 1: think it's bred a lot of confidence. Kamario Taylor, become
- 46:46Speaker 1: a leader. He is leading them. Same thing. Keylon, on
- 46:50Speaker 1: the other side. haven't played hardly at all. He he's,
- 46:53Speaker 1: he's putting that team on his shoulders. If you try
- 46:55Speaker 1: to rush this kid this weekend and you leave a lane,
- 46:59Speaker 1: he gone. I'm just gonna let you know, he'll break
- 47:01Speaker 1: it off right up in your ass for about 30
- 47:03Speaker 1: or 40 yards and just look smooth doing it. And
- 47:06Speaker 1: so if I'm going anywhere here, I would go over
- 47:09Speaker 1: 59 and a half in this one. I think it
- 47:11Speaker 1: could be a little bit of a slow start and
- 47:13Speaker 1: then it could get rolling, but And if either one
- 47:16Speaker 1: of these teams stretches it out, too, the other one's
- 47:18Speaker 1: going to have to go because nobody's taking their foot
- 47:21Speaker 1: off the gas here because you can't. And, I mean,
- 47:24Speaker 1: if you've watched any Mississippi State tape at all, you
- 47:27Speaker 1: know you can't take your foot off the gas because
- 47:30Speaker 1: all you've got to do is leave that team a
- 47:31Speaker 1: window and they've got the confidence. You leave them with
- 47:34Speaker 1: no hope, it turns into confidence. Give me the over 59.5
- 47:36Speaker 1: in this one.
- 47:37Speaker 3: The only thing that scares me, I think you've got
- 47:40Speaker 3: to watch the weather in this game.
- 47:41Speaker 2: True.
- 47:41Speaker 3: When I saw this 59.5 come out, I was like,
- 47:45Speaker 3: there ain't no damn way it's not going.
- 47:47Speaker 2: To sail over this.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Because, look, Alabama's defense, say what you want, has been bad.
- 47:54Speaker 3: It has not been good. It was not good against
- 47:57Speaker 3: East Carolina, even though they blew them out, but they
- 47:59Speaker 3: gave up some big plays. It was awful against Florida State.
- 48:04Speaker 3: I mean, just completely awful. And they had the big kid,
- 48:09Speaker 3: number one for Florida State. I forget his name. Man,
- 48:13Speaker 3: he threw the ball. But their quarterback can't throw. And
- 48:16Speaker 3: yet he was gashing Bama for some big plays. I thought, man,
- 48:20Speaker 3: this game's going to sail over. And then you realize, oh, shit,
- 48:23Speaker 3: the weather may be bad. That's the only thing that
- 48:25Speaker 3: scares me here. I think Bama wears State down.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I really do.
- 48:31Speaker 3: I think they end up winning this game. And I
- 48:32Speaker 3: think they end up covering by six. But Camario Taylor
- 48:38Speaker 3: changes everything because he continues to perform even if he
- 48:42Speaker 3: gets to a bad start. Or when he goes through
- 48:44Speaker 3: a stretch where he is slow or things go against
- 48:47Speaker 3: him or he has a bad break or whatever, it's
- 48:49Speaker 3: like he never gets down. The kid just keeps on swinging. And, boy,
- 48:53Speaker 3: you talk about a great thing for a quarterback. Give
- 48:56Speaker 3: me a quarterback with a short memory. You know, just
- 48:58Speaker 3: get out there and go play again. He can't– windshield's
- 49:01Speaker 3: bigger than the rearview mirror for a reason. You know,
- 49:04Speaker 3: you can't do anything about what's behind you. And man,
- 49:07Speaker 3: it is a that is a great attribute to have.
- 49:10Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, this is still
- 49:12Speaker 3: a flawed Mississippi State team. And sooner or later, some
- 49:17Speaker 3: of these teams are going to expose that hard. to
- 49:20Speaker 3: not continue to bet like it's not going to get
- 49:24Speaker 3: exposed at some point. I think it is this weekend.
- 49:27Speaker 3: If the weather's good, the over's the way I'll go.
- 49:30Speaker 3: If it's not, then I'll probably take Bama in the
- 49:33Speaker 3: minus six.
- 49:35Speaker 1: There you go. Let's get you rolling there, Scott. Get
- 49:38Speaker 1: you rolling.
- 49:38Speaker 2: I like it.
- 49:40Speaker 1: All right. What else we got here? I don't know
- 49:44Speaker 1: if I've got anything else left on this board. Not
- 49:47Speaker 1: my favorite, but, again, I am calling for some upsets here.
- 49:51Speaker 2: We're going to ride Army, Mark. Oh, my God.
- 49:55Speaker 3: La Tech laying two and a half. I like this
- 49:57Speaker 3: Army team. I just– I like a lot about this team.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Todd Monk's never going to get– a bigger job because
- 50:04Speaker 3: nobody wants to go to the option and all that,
- 50:06Speaker 3: even though I think the guy would be multiple and
- 50:10Speaker 3: do some different things. But, boy, he's a good football
- 50:13Speaker 3: coach and gets a lot out of this program. La
- 50:18Speaker 3: Tech and the fighting Sonny Cumbies, I just don't think
- 50:24Speaker 3: they're going to have enough from the physical standpoint to
- 50:28Speaker 3: handle this Army team. I think Army goes on the road,
- 50:30Speaker 3: goes to Ruston, and covers the two and a half.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I could see that. My last one I'm going
- 50:36Speaker 1: to come back with you on. Some of these late-night
- 50:39Speaker 1: games I can't figure out, like Cal getting two and
- 50:42Speaker 1: a half at UNLV. Can't get there. Probably we'll get
- 50:50Speaker 1: involved with Oregon State minus six against Colorado State. Again,
- 50:55Speaker 1: I think this Oregon State team is better, but I
- 50:57Speaker 1: want to get– and might lean to the over here,
- 50:59Speaker 1: but I need to get a quarterback update on Colorado State.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Hans Haney, he may be out in that one. West Virginia,
- 51:07Speaker 1: Iowa State, got nothing. The only game that really surprises
- 51:10Speaker 1: me is the Florida-Missouri game. Florida laying five and a half.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Line stinks. Absolutely stinks. You cannot watch this Missouri team
- 51:19Speaker 1: and tell me that this is a good football team.
- 51:23Speaker 1: How they're ranked is just beyond me. I think it's
- 51:27Speaker 1: just because they're still in the SEC, but I know
- 51:29Speaker 1: they're three and one, but They have not looked great
- 51:32Speaker 1: without Hardy back there offensively. But I don't know if
- 51:35Speaker 1: I want to lay it with Florida on the money line.
- 51:37Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want to lay it with Florida
- 51:39Speaker 1: on the road. That's all I got, man. I went
- 51:44Speaker 1: through this board a couple times. You might convince me
- 51:48Speaker 1: to get involved with Texas State at San Diego State
- 51:52Speaker 1: in the get-back game on the CW. By the way,
- 51:55Speaker 1: can I talk about something real quick? Do you know
- 51:58Speaker 1: how shitty the ACC is? that the 11 o'clock game
- 52:03Speaker 1: on the ACC is on the CW. I didn't know
- 52:06Speaker 1: the CW showed anything other than Martin reruns until the
- 52:11Speaker 1: other day when I had to find the damn channel
- 52:13Speaker 1: on my YouTube TV so I could put a game
- 52:15Speaker 1: on in the four squad pot. The CW, how do
- 52:21Speaker 1: you negotiate a contract and go, yeah, we'd love to
- 52:23Speaker 1: be on the CW? You know what? How about you
- 52:26Speaker 1: put a– we're at the University of Texas. If you're Texas,
- 52:29Speaker 1: you know what I would do? I would go negotiate
- 52:31Speaker 1: a deal and be on the Spanish channel because every
- 52:33Speaker 1: Mexican in Texas loves UT. They should be playing on
- 52:36Speaker 1: Telemundo every Saturday. It would be the highest-rated game in
- 52:40Speaker 1: the country. And every time they score– I want soccer
- 52:43Speaker 1: announcers to do it too because I want every time
- 52:46Speaker 1: they score for them to shout out.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Oh!
- 52:51Speaker 1: Get that done, Chris Delicante. Okay. Think outside the box,
- 52:54Speaker 1: for God's sake. Get something wrong.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Well, that's fabulous.
- 52:57Speaker 3: The CW, I thought they were– they had TV slots
- 53:01Speaker 3: available because the live went under.
- 53:03Speaker 2: I mean, it was, come on, let's get going.
- 53:06Speaker 3: You know, that is, there are a lot of Texas
- 53:08Speaker 3: high school football reruns on the CW.
- 53:11Speaker 2: So you can get those sometimes.
- 53:14Speaker 1: I did not know that. But I'm glad I learned that.
- 53:17Speaker 1: So I will put those in. Scotty, my prediction for
- 53:20Speaker 1: the week, it's going to seem boring. It doesn't seem
- 53:23Speaker 1: very exciting. I think we're going to have another winning week,
- 53:26Speaker 1: but I also think there's going to be some upsets
- 53:28Speaker 1: this week, some weird ones too. It always seems it may,
- 53:32Speaker 1: if they don't get there, they're going to be real
- 53:34Speaker 1: damn close. So mark my words, there'll be at least
- 53:36Speaker 1: one or two, because this is one of those weeks
- 53:39Speaker 1: that no one's looking at. And next thing you know,
- 53:42Speaker 1: there's chaos breaking loose because everybody that's a college football
- 53:45Speaker 1: fan has got, what is it? October 17th circled. I
- 53:49Speaker 1: think that's the weekend where there's crazy amounts of games
- 53:53Speaker 1: that I think there's at least 10 of them that
- 53:55Speaker 1: are must-view all day long.
- 53:57Speaker 3: Well, I sure am hoping that one of these upsets
- 54:00Speaker 3: occurs at Scott Field in Starkville, Mississippi. Folks, with that
- 54:06Speaker 3: being said– I hope you're right on the– I hope
- 54:08Speaker 3: you're– but I hope one of them– I'm hoping one
- 54:11Speaker 3: of them resides in the 662.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I love it.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Folks, that being said, we love y'all. Thank y'all for
- 54:19Speaker 1: the downloads. Try to hit us up on Twitter. I'm
- 54:21Speaker 1: not great at social media these days. I've been too busy.
- 54:24Speaker 1: But anyway, enjoy the follows. Enjoy the weekend. Enjoy you
- 54:28Speaker 1: some college football. I think from week seven on, it's
- 54:33Speaker 1: going to be a fascinating season. You give me two
- 54:35Speaker 1: more weeks, baby, and it is going to be on.
- 54:38Speaker 1: We may see two, three lost teams make the tournament,
- 54:42Speaker 1: and they're going to be good. That being said, we'll
- 54:44Speaker 1: talk to you all next week. Travel safe. Bye-bye.
