- 5 Fantasy Football Trade Targets You NEED Before It's Too Late: The fantasy football playoffs are right around the corner and now is the time that you need to be making the moves that will get you that championship trophy. While the rest of your league is looking at last week's stats, I'm looking forward at guys that you could potentially get for cheap and could be absolute league winners going forward this season. Today we're looking at my top five trade targets here in week eight. Well, welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig, and today we're taking a look at my top five trade targets. Some of these guys you can get on the cheap right now, and some guys I think are going to be absolute league winners down the stretch. Let's jump right into it. The number one guy that I am trying to acquire in leagues is Garrett Wilson in New York. Jump over here to his profile on sleeper. He is currently listed as the wide receiver number 15 in PPR formats. and he's coming off of two down weeks in which Rookie Omar Cooper Jr. has really taken front and center there in New York. He's come back from the IR and has absolutely dominated with two 100-yard games. Garrett Wilson, meanwhile, has played 98% of the snaps in week six, 85% in week seven against Miami. and he only has nine targets through those two games. Has only racked up about 13 points in PPR formats. No more than 45 yards, no touchdowns. He's only got Three touchdowns on the season so far. But you can see right here, he was a solid wide receiver at the start of the year, 13.9, 16.7, 26.7 against Detroit, and then a down week in week four against Chicago, back up against Cleveland. So three of his last four have been in the single digits, no more than nine points in three of the last four. You can absolutely buy the dip on Garrett Wilson right now. This will not last. He is the wide receiver one in New York. And while They have gotten Omar Cooper Jr. involved, and I think they will continue to do that. Garrett Wilson is what makes this offense what it is. He will get more targets. He will get more points for you. and the touchdowns will come for Garrett Wilson. And there's always that off chance that he ends up getting traded. I don't particularly think that he will be traded before the deadline, but there is that off chance that he goes to an actual contender that knows how to use him and If that happens, he is a bona fide top ten wide receiver absolutely the rest of the way. I still think that he is right there at that low end wide receiver one, even given his last three out of four games have been kind of duds. I think that you can absolutely buy low on Garrett Wilson right now going forward in the season. You take a look over at his playoff schedule, he's got Arizona, New England, and Minnesota. So a couple tough matches there with New England's defense and Minnesota's defense, but it's not something that scares me away. with Garrett Wilson. I think, you know, he is the guy. He has gotten targets over his career. He has played with bad quarterback play time and time again in his career. And he still produces as a good wide receiver two option in fantasy football. And I think, you know, like I said, if he ends up getting traded, that value obviously skyrockets. Garrett Wilson is somebody I am trying to get in every single league I can right now. Next guy on my list is Jordan Mason in Minnesota. And this is a guy that I was really high on coming into the season. I thought He was going to be the unquestioned RB1 there in Minnesota. He comes in in week one, and him and Aaron Jones kind of split the reps. You can see here 45% against Green Bay in week one, got 15 carries, 59 yards, and a touchdown. Not a terrible day at the office, 11.9 PPR points. Didn't add any value in the receiving game, and he really probably won't do that this season. One, they just don't really ever throw to him. He's not really that kind of guy. but also Kyler Murray. Typically just pulls the ball down and runs as soon as there's any sort of pressure. So I wouldn't expect him to get a whole lot of catches this year, but I do think he will be the RB1 going forward for this Minnesota team. Last week in week seven, we saw Aaron Jones get banged up again with his knee issue that's kind of been bothering him all year. And Aaron Jones is a 31-year-old running back that has a history of some injuries. And I I really just don't think Aaron Jones is going to make it through this whole year. What he has done so far this year has been very, very good and very appreciated for those of you that have had him on their team, but it's not gonna last for a whole season. Jordan Mason is the guy that they want to feature. they talked him up all off season, 27 years old. He's kind of in that prime for his running back ages. And I think they're gonna use him quite a bit. He came back from injury last week or from the IR last week. Saw 64% of the snap, 15 carries, 68 yards, didn't get into the end zone. So it wasn't a great day. He did add two targets in the passing game, but I think that that number is going to continue to ramp up against a Detroit defense that you can absolutely score on. I think Minnesota will move the ball and Jordan Mason will get those short yardage goal line carries this week. I think now is the time to act on Jordan Mason because he is still kind of in that timeshare, and a lot of people have seen what Aaron Jones did. Well Mason was out, and so they think it's a little bit more of a cloudy situation. I don't think it's gonna be cloudy at all. I think that Aaron Jones is gonna take a back seat to Jordan Mason going forward and Mason's really, really gonna be a a strong candidate for that league winner title down the stretch. He's gonna be a very solid RB2 for you. Could even sneak up into the RB1 discussion towards the end of the year. You take a look at his playoff schedule, and he's got Detroit, Washington, and New York in the fantasy football championship. Those are three defenses that don't scare me a whole lot. I think that you can score on them. I think that those will be good competitive football games for the Vikings. And this Vikings defense is playing lights out right now. this is the brand of football that they want to play. They want to play really good defense and they want to run the ball and control the clock. Jordan Mason is a prime candidate for that. And I think that you need to go out and get him right now. When you talk about controlling the clock, nobody comes to mind quite like Derrick Henry. this is a guy who, in his career, I mean, he starts off slow in the beginning of a game, and then as his team gets ahead, holds that lead, they just continue to ride him the rest of the game, and he just stacks up the points. we saw that in the first couple of weeks, week one, three touchdowns on 24 carries, 144 yards. Thirty-five point three PPR points. he did add a catch for 19 yards, which is not something that Derrick Henry does a whole lot of. He's doing it more this year than in previous years, but that day was very, very good. It's kind of been downhill since then, but still, even in week two, 17.7, 21.9, 15.9, 21. So through the first five weeks, he was really looking the part as a solid RB one, even at age thirty-two. But Lamar Jackson did get hurt in that game against Tennessee in week four. And it's been tough sledding ever since then. Defenses have really loaded in. Derrick Henry has almost always been guaranteed one to two yards when he gets it in those short yardage situations. And I can't tell you how many times I've been watching the Ravens the last couple weeks, and he gets hit behind the line of scrimmage almost every time he gets the ball. You can see right here, 17 carries in both of the last two games, 58 yards and 45 yards, no touchdowns. He actually hasn't been in the end zone since week four when Lamar was there. I think that the entire offense has changed with Snoop Huntley in there. The running lanes are not as open as what they would be with Lamar. But the good news is that the Ravens are expecting to get Lamar back here in week eight against Buffalo. And I think that those running lanes are really going to open up. This Buffalo defense does not scare me at all. They've given up a lot of yards, a lot of points so far on the year, and I could see Derrick Henry having a multiple touchdown game in this one against Buffalo. I think the time to buy him cheap is right now. I'm not saying that people are just going out there giving him away for dirt cheap, but he is coming off of two games where he scored less than six points in PPR formats. So I think if there is any time you're gonna be able to get Derrick Henry, it is right now. And if we've learned anything about him through his career, is that as the season goes on, as the colder months start to roll in, he really starts to ramp up his production and his productivity. I I think right now is when you need to pounce on a guy like Derrick Henry to really help you down the stretch and into that fantasy championship. And before we get to the next guy, I just want to say if you guys find anything that you like in this video, be sure to hit that like button, drop a comment, hit subscribe. I make these videos every single week. Start sit videos, weekly ranking videos, waiver wire videos, and other fantasy football nonsense. If you see anything you like, Come along for the journey, and we will jump right into the next player that I think you need to be trading for, and that is Ollie Gordon in Miami. he has really, really been a dominant player since the loss of Devon Achan in week two, or week three, I guess it was against Kansas City. you can see Ollie Gordon has scored every single game since taking over as the RB one in Miami. totals of forty-one, a hundred, eighty-eight, and a hundred and three on the ground. hasn't added a whole lot in the receiving game, but I would expect that to change a little bit. Malik Willis is a guy that takes it and runs much like Kyler Murray. But Ali Gordon is getting it done on the ground and he is very, very good in the red zone. And maybe a little bit surprising, this Miami offense has actually gotten a lot better since losing Devon Achan. They are converting things that they weren't converting before he went down with injury. Ali Gordon has really looked very, very solid. You can see here listed as the RB twenty seven, but That's a little misleading because of the first two games he played, but only seven and nineteen percent of the snaps. So that that number's a little bit skewed because of those. but since then, I mean, he has really taken off. He has been a dominant running back. He's somebody that I think down the stretch could continue to get those carries, and he also could be a candidate that you you buy right now and then you could flip in a couple of weeks if he continues this trajectory of of good running games and good valuable scoring. he's got fourteen, eighteen, fourteen, seventeen, nothing that's like groundbreaking, earth shattering, but he's not going out there and getting you four, five, six points, like I think a lot of people thought when he was a top waiver wire ad back in week four. I think that he's a guy that you could you could ride out the rest of the season or you could even look to flip and move up to that next tier in the running back position. And the final guy that we are talking about is Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren. I don't usually advise people to go out and buy injury dips or or buy people when they are injured. It's something that personally I have really liked to do over the course of my career playing fantasy football. Something that I've had a lot of success doing is buying that injury dip. When a guy is out, you know, I do my research, I kind of figure out when he's gonna be back, and I buy him at absolute cheapest price that I can. Tyler Warren should be coming back from his groin injury that has cost him the last two games. I believe he's going to be back this week. He's put a couple limited practices in there for the Colts. And really, I mean, if you're in the news at all, this Colts offense, this Colts team in general, has a very, very bad reputation going around right now. Looks like they're just having a fire sale and getting rid of everybody. you know, if I'm a Tyler Warren owner, I probably have a little bit of a stigma there. I'm a little bit worried about him going forward. I might be looking to dump him off. So if you're looking to buy, you might be able to get an elite tight end at a very cheap price, at least the cheapest that he's probably ever been. You look at his production so far this year when he has been out there healthy. 10.3, 14.4, 14.7, nine, and then 21.4. He was just starting to take off there against Pittsburgh in week five. And then he obviously missed week six and week seven against Tennessee and Minnesota. Should be back here in week eight against Jacksonville in a divisional game. he got those touchdowns in the first two weeks, but then he has been scoreless ever since. But he is getting the targets. I mean, you look at his targets through the first five weeks of the season, five, seven, ten, five, and nine. So, I mean, three games there, three of the five that he's been seven or more targets. That's what you want out of the tight end position. You may be able to flip a guy like a Brenton Strange, who I'm actually pretty high on, but if I could move up a tier from Brenton Strange to Tyler Warren, I think I would absolutely do that. I think that Tyler Warren is one of those elite tight ends that we have in the league right now, one of those top three to five guys. and I I think Brenton Strange is very good, but I don't know that he is on that elite level like a Tyler Warren would be. If I could flip a guy like that that has been having some early season success, even a guy like Kyle Pitts, who maybe still has some name value in your league. he's had a couple good games as of late. Maybe you could flip a guy like that for Tyler Warren. you might have to put a piece in there. with a tight end to flip a one for one, you probably aren't gonna be able to do that. But whatever it takes, I think if you could go out and get Tyler Warren on the cheap, this is probably the cheapest that you have ever been able to buy him and maybe will ever be able to buy him. I would definitely look at going and doing that. This is a team that's going to be behind. They're gonna be throwing a lot and Tyler Warren is a focal part of this offense and of this rebuild of the Indianapolis Colts. They're gonna feature him a ton going forward. Especially if Josh Downs is shipped out of town. I mean, they are gonna have no pass catchers. They're gonna have Keenan Allen and Tyler Warren. They're gonna throw the ball to Tyler Warren a ton going forward. He's going to be a very, very elite asset for your team. All right, guys. Well, that's all I've got for you. These are my top five trade targets here in week eight. Go out and make those moves. Get your roster better as the playoffs are approaching. And good luck this weekend. I will catch you all on the next video. See ya.
