- 1:40Speaker 1: was truly the best girl. I mean, she was a
- 1:44Speaker 1: great little girly girl. And I also caught COVID, so
- 1:49Speaker 1: not feeling one hundred percent. So I apologize upfront for
- 1:54Speaker 1: being a little off today and also for not looking
- 1:58Speaker 1: that great. But I am still on this side of
- 2:01Speaker 1: the dirt, so I can't really complain. It could be
- 2:04Speaker 1: much worse. So welcome to miss I can't even talk.

- 3:25Speaker 1: others to subscribe. Now today I've got it. Seems like
- 3:32Speaker 1: the thing about Midday Missing. The cases are always brutal,
- 3:36Speaker 1: always heartbreaking. So I'm just going to tell you these
- 3:40Speaker 1: are especially heartbreaking. Plus the way I'm feeling going to
- 3:46Speaker 1: make it even worse. But I am going to close
- 3:49Speaker 1: out today with a funny little story for you guys,
- 3:54Speaker 1: So let's get started. Wesley Dale Morgan is who we're
- 3:58Speaker 1: talking about first, so it was in the Trinquil town
- 4:02Speaker 1: of Clinton, Louisiana, on May fifteenth, two thousand and one,
- 4:07Speaker 1: where a very chilling event took place that guys has
- 4:11Speaker 1: left the community forever haunted. Wesley del Morgan was a
- 4:16Speaker 1: bright and cheerful two year old boy and he was
- 4:19Speaker 1: outside playing on the porch with some puppies when he
- 4:22Speaker 1: vanished without a trace from his home. Now. Wesley's mom,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ruby Haverd, told police that she and Leslie were outside
- 4:31Speaker 1: together and that she went inside to boil some eggs
- 4:34Speaker 1: and that she was gone for about five minutes and
- 4:37Speaker 1: that she came back out Wesley was gone. She said
- 4:41Speaker 1: she looked for Wesley for about fifteen minutes before calling police. Now, guys,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Ruby gave birth to Wesley when she was seventeen years
- 4:49Speaker 1: old and her and Wesley's dad split up and she
- 4:52Speaker 1: had started seeing this new man, so she was a
- 4:56Speaker 1: young mom. Wesley lived with his mother in the new
- 5:00Speaker 1: boyfriend by the name of Burneal Hilton, in a rental
- 5:04Speaker 1: house along US Highway sixty three. Now, I am going
- 5:09Speaker 1: to apologize right now because I know I am going
- 5:12Speaker 1: to slaughter this parish's name and all of my Cajun
- 5:17Speaker 1: relatives are going to roll their eyes and say, what
- 5:20Speaker 1: is wrong with you? Girl? But I'm going to do
- 5:22Speaker 1: my best. The East Feliciana, Paris Sheriff's Office was quickly
- 5:28Speaker 1: alerted and a massive search operation was launched. Now volunteers, neighbors,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and a search and rescue team hombed to surrounding woods
- 5:38Speaker 1: and swamps, but Wesley was nowhere to be found. Despite
- 5:43Speaker 1: the community and law enforcement's best efforts, days turned into
- 5:47Speaker 1: weeks with no signs of the missing toddler. Guys, I'm
- 5:51Speaker 1: already starting to tear up, so I should be a
- 5:55Speaker 1: little more professional and not do that. But I apologize.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Ruby Kay continue to deny knowing what happened to her
- 6:03Speaker 1: son Wesley, and police have said that both Ruby and
- 6:07Speaker 1: Burnell took polygraph test and they both failed. Now I've
- 6:14Speaker 1: said this before on the True Crime and Mine Time podcast.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I know that light detectors are not admissible in court,
- 6:23Speaker 1: that people know how to pass them. People can fail
- 6:27Speaker 1: for reasons we don't know. But I am still going
- 6:30Speaker 1: to say I find that a little suspicious. But I
- 6:35Speaker 1: also want to tell you that Burnell was charged with
- 6:37Speaker 1: attempted murder for an unrelated shooting in October of nineteen
- 6:42Speaker 1: ninety eight, so Ruby and Burnell split up not long
- 6:46Speaker 1: after Wesley went missing. Now, guys, police have told reporters
- 6:51Speaker 1: that after using dogs and searching the area, that this
- 6:55Speaker 1: case is a criminal investigation and they believes he was
- 7:00Speaker 1: killed or kidnapped. Now police investigators have now said they
- 7:06Speaker 1: have suspected a Ruby of selling Wesley. They said that
- 7:10Speaker 1: Ruby rarely asked for updates on the case and showed
- 7:15Speaker 1: very little to no emotion when the search was called off. Now,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Ruby has said that she felt targeted due to her lifestyle. Guys,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I went down a lot of rabbit holes. I couldn't
- 7:28Speaker 1: find what she meant about her lifestyle. The only thing
- 7:32Speaker 1: I could find is that maybe she had some sexual
- 7:36Speaker 1: encounters with individuals and law enforcement, and maybe some threesomes.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I'm not sure why that would make you be targeted,
- 7:46Speaker 1: but that's my two cents. Now, Guys, buckle up, because
- 7:51Speaker 1: on January eighth, two thousand and eight, Ruby renee Harvard,
- 7:56Speaker 1: was arrested for allegedly trying to sell her youngest child.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The newest baby was just a couple of weeks old
- 8:03Speaker 1: at the time of her arrest. The judge placed this
- 8:07Speaker 1: new baby into the state's custody pending resolution on the case.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Ruby told police that she was not trying to sell
- 8:15Speaker 1: her baby and that it was an adoption that went wrong.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm not sure how adoptions go wrong, but we'll see.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Ruby had offered to sell her baby to a married
- 8:28Speaker 1: couple for two thousand dollars. Guys, in my opinion, two
- 8:35Speaker 1: thousand dollars is not enough for selling your child that
- 8:42Speaker 1: you carried for nine months and went through labor. Okay,
- 8:44Speaker 1: just gonna say, first of all, you shouldn't be selling
- 8:47Speaker 1: your baby. But Ruby said that she and the couple
- 8:50Speaker 1: who wanted to adopt her baby couldn't afford to use attorneys,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and that Ruby, along with the couple, went to a
- 8:57Speaker 1: notary and signed a statement stating that the couple would
- 9:02Speaker 1: give Ruby two thousand dollars for her baby. Guys, Seriously,
- 9:09Speaker 1: two thousand dollars. That doesn't even pay for your medical
- 9:15Speaker 1: care if you got medical care during your pregnancy for
- 9:19Speaker 1: labor and delivery, unless you got it free because you
- 9:22Speaker 1: were on state assistance. But really, come on, guys. Now, However,
- 9:29Speaker 1: when Ruby had the baby, she said she changed her
- 9:32Speaker 1: mind and wanted to keep the baby, and of course
- 9:34Speaker 1: the two thousand dollars. The couple was upset and they
- 9:38Speaker 1: called the police. Okay, you call the police after trying
- 9:45Speaker 1: to illegally buy somebody's baby. But hey, I'm not gonna
- 9:49Speaker 1: judge right now. Ruby said that the money was to
- 9:52Speaker 1: cover medical bills. As I said, I don't know what
- 9:58Speaker 1: the cost was to have a baby in two thousand
- 10:01Speaker 1: and eight. I can tell you when I had my youngest,
- 10:06Speaker 1: which will be thirty three years next week, that it
- 10:09Speaker 1: costs more than two thousand dollars. Okay. Now, when the
- 10:17Speaker 1: case was investigated, they didn't have enough concrete proof that
- 10:22Speaker 1: Ruby was selling her baby, since she had used some
- 10:25Speaker 1: of that money to pay medical bills. Therefore, the prosecutors
- 10:30Speaker 1: dropped the case against her, just dropped it, and I
- 10:34Speaker 1: couldn't find that. They filed charges against the couple trying
- 10:38Speaker 1: to purchase or adopt this baby and guys. Despite the
- 10:43Speaker 1: ongoing extensive search effort, Wesley's whereabouts remain a mystery today.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office continued to pursue leads,
- 10:56Speaker 1: but each new clue ended in frustration. This case has
- 11:01Speaker 1: gone cold, but the impact of Wesley's disappearance. Everything I
- 11:07Speaker 1: read has lingered in the hearts and minds of those
- 11:11Speaker 1: that knew him, but also of the community. The community
- 11:16Speaker 1: was distraught and they are still distraught. Wesley would be
- 11:21Speaker 1: twenty five years old today. Okay. Police in many in
- 11:25Speaker 1: the community believe that Wesley is still alive and that
- 11:29Speaker 1: he was sold to someone who wanted a child. Guys,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I like that positive spend. I really hope that too.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Now I'm going to read you a posting that I
- 11:43Speaker 1: found on that East Feliciana crime watch page from a
- 11:48Speaker 1: person who is donating their time to find Wesley. Because guys,
- 11:54Speaker 1: it makes me mad. If this is even partially true,
- 12:01Speaker 1: I mean, if it is ten percent true, it is horrific. Okay,
- 12:06Speaker 1: Now I'm going to read you this post verbatim. Ruby Freeman.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Let's go back in time, shall we. Let me remind
- 12:15Speaker 1: you that when I first began my efforts to help
- 12:18Speaker 1: find out what happened to Wesley, I contacted you and
- 12:22Speaker 1: offered to work with you. Do you remember what your
- 12:26Speaker 1: response was? I certainly do. I was shocked by it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: You said, don't ever contact me again, and only contact
- 12:35Speaker 1: my attorney, Ronda Covington. So I made an effort to
- 12:40Speaker 1: do just that. Of course, she refused to respond either.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I volunteered to Sheriff Bunch, who also refused to even
- 12:49Speaker 1: respond to my letters. I submitted a request to Sheriff
- 12:53Speaker 1: Bunch to please have an updated crime stopper segment produced.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He didn't respond, And I've been harassed and criticized about
- 13:04Speaker 1: wanting to hold vigils, etc. For Wesley by the family.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So please explain to me why when someone volunteers to
- 13:14Speaker 1: help work on a case to find a missing two
- 13:16Speaker 1: year old child, nearly everyone close to the case fights
- 13:21Speaker 1: so hard to keep it from happening. Please tell me
- 13:25Speaker 1: the last time you or other family have put up
- 13:29Speaker 1: a billboard, had a news conference, or placed ads in
- 13:34Speaker 1: a newspaper. Please tell me why it is that when
- 13:37Speaker 1: I tried so hard to get elected officials in this
- 13:42Speaker 1: parish to pledge reward money to add to the ten
- 13:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars already offered by the FBI, not one pledged. However,
- 13:53Speaker 1: quite a few citizens did. I mailed a letter to
- 13:57Speaker 1: every elected official in this parish requesting some support in
- 14:02Speaker 1: this case, and only one responded. District Attorney Sam Diagilla
- 14:09Speaker 1: was the only one. Tell me why many in this
- 14:14Speaker 1: parish have refused to offer any public interest in assisting
- 14:20Speaker 1: with the disappearance of your child, especially those in the
- 14:24Speaker 1: best possible position to do so. And since you're at it,
- 14:29Speaker 1: why don't you explain why you would leave a two
- 14:32Speaker 1: year old outside unattended while you were in the house
- 14:36Speaker 1: preparing food. What were the questions asked of you and
- 14:41Speaker 1: Burnell that caused you to fill the polygraph? I know
- 14:46Speaker 1: and accept the fact a polygraph is not conclusive evidence
- 14:51Speaker 1: that something or someone has done something wrong, So why
- 14:55Speaker 1: not explain it to me? When people who should be
- 14:58Speaker 1: excited for the en and their missing family member put
- 15:02Speaker 1: up a wall against it, one can only go from
- 15:06Speaker 1: that and offer theories. Explain to me why not one
- 15:11Speaker 1: family member has attended any activity I've done in recognition
- 15:17Speaker 1: of the fact Wesley is missing. Explain to me why
- 15:23Speaker 1: not one family member that I know of has promoted
- 15:27Speaker 1: the fact May is Missing Person Month in this parish
- 15:32Speaker 1: in honor of Wesley? Why is May Missing Person Month?
- 15:37Speaker 1: Because I have work to have it done, and thanks
- 15:40Speaker 1: to the police jury, it was adopted to sit here
- 15:45Speaker 1: insite all the time and effort I've put into trying
- 15:48Speaker 1: to get Wesley's case recognized as something we need to
- 15:52Speaker 1: make a priority in our community. Would take too long
- 15:56Speaker 1: to do right now, So don't act like I just
- 15:59Speaker 1: jumped on this to harass you or anyone else. You
- 16:03Speaker 1: have had all of this time to work with me,
- 16:06Speaker 1: or at least explain in detail your side and offer
- 16:10Speaker 1: explanation and ideas of what happened so of others. Tell
- 16:16Speaker 1: me why this case seems to be such a secret.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Why are people afraid to openly talk about it or
- 16:24Speaker 1: want it worked on? Oh? I could continue, but why
- 16:29Speaker 1: waste my time To this day? The family in the
- 16:37Speaker 1: community want to know what happened to Wesley if he
- 16:40Speaker 1: is alive. Guys, I hope that someone comes forward and
- 16:44Speaker 1: tells or that DNA helps reunite him with his family, because, guys,
- 16:50Speaker 1: this is disturbing to me. I can tell you just
- 16:55Speaker 1: from working with Chasi's family. When I reached out to
- 16:59Speaker 1: them and we offered to help and give free resources,
- 17:04Speaker 1: they jumped on and said yes please, and they did
- 17:09Speaker 1: set guidelines and they said, you know, this is some
- 17:11Speaker 1: things we want done. No to this, but they set guidelines,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and guys, when we held the event for Chase's birthday,
- 17:19Speaker 1: they showed up, they were there, they share the post.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So well, me, why you're not helping us that family? Because, guys,
- 17:31Speaker 1: my two year old goes missing. I mean, my oldest
- 17:35Speaker 1: is going to be thirty three next week. If he
- 17:37Speaker 1: went missing when he was two, I would still be
- 17:41Speaker 1: screaming at the top of my lungs, and anybody that
- 17:44Speaker 1: offered to help, I would take the help. Now, yes,
- 17:47Speaker 1: do I know there's a lot of crazies out there.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Do I know there's a lot of people who would
- 17:51Speaker 1: exploit and take advantage. Absolutely, but guys, I would still
- 17:58Speaker 1: do it. Okay, Now, this case made me think of
- 18:02Speaker 1: Julian Hernandez, who found out he had been taken by
- 18:05Speaker 1: his father when he was a little boy when he
- 18:08Speaker 1: started applying to college. So I truly hope something similar
- 18:16Speaker 1: helps Wesley find his way back to his family, because
- 18:21Speaker 1: if he is alive, he needs to be found and
- 18:25Speaker 1: he needs to know what happened to him in the community,
- 18:29Speaker 1: needs to know, even if his mother doesn't. Now, I'm
- 18:34Speaker 1: going to be honest and say I am not sure
- 18:36Speaker 1: how I feel about his mom, So I'm in a
- 18:40Speaker 1: reserve comment because anything I say would not be very nice,
- 18:47Speaker 1: because I don't understand. If she wants to reach out
- 18:52Speaker 1: to me and tell me and help me understand, I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: open we can have an off the record conversation, but
- 18:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna it's all I'm gonna say. And yes, I
- 19:02Speaker 1: see somebody in the chat said that you know it's Louisiana.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Nothing surprises me. I agree. What I know about Louisiana
- 19:11Speaker 1: can be a little scary. But it doesn't explain to
- 19:15Speaker 1: me why the mom and the family members, the biological dad,
- 19:20Speaker 1: the grandmother's aunts, uncles, cousins, why they aren't out Because guys,
- 19:26Speaker 1: this is a two year old little boy. Why are
- 19:30Speaker 1: they not wanting to find him? Makes me think they
- 19:33Speaker 1: know where he is. So if you have any information
- 19:36Speaker 1: regarding Wesley del Morgan, please call the East Feliciana Parish
- 19:42Speaker 1: Sheriff's Office at two two five six eight three five
- 19:47Speaker 1: four five nine. And if you're a family member of
- 19:52Speaker 1: Wesley del Morgan, do better, Please do better. It'll make
- 19:57Speaker 1: me feel better, and it'll make Wesley feel better if
- 20:00Speaker 1: he's still alive and he's found, to know that there
- 20:03Speaker 1: was somebody in his family that loved him enough to
- 20:06Speaker 1: do anything and everything to find him. So I'm going
- 20:15Speaker 1: to tell you this next case is just as hard.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But as I'm learning, the more I get into these
- 20:22Speaker 1: midday missing cases, none of them are easy. They are
- 20:26Speaker 1: all heartbreaking, and it was one reason in the beginning
- 20:30Speaker 1: I stayed away from them. But it's cases like Wesley's
- 20:35Speaker 1: that make me feel even more passionate about doing this,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and it's one of the reasons I didn't cancel today's
- 20:42Speaker 1: live stream with me not feeling well, looking like crap.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I was like, I am going to get out of bed.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I am going to do for these people that are missing,
- 20:52Speaker 1: especially when the family freaking won't get off their ass
- 20:57Speaker 1: and do something. And I'm sorry. The fact that you
- 21:01Speaker 1: tried to sell your child, adopt your child, whatever for
- 21:04Speaker 1: two grand tells me you probably weren't the best mom
- 21:09Speaker 1: mixuple anyway. So ooh, Buffy, I see you say you
- 21:16Speaker 1: live there. I need to know more. Please send me
- 21:21Speaker 1: a message on the courtyard. Tell me why this case
- 21:27Speaker 1: doesn't get recognition, tell me what some of the theories are.
- 21:31Speaker 1: There was a lot of rabbit holes I would love
- 21:34Speaker 1: to know more. So this next one, Branson, Cain Perry,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm going to stop there and tell y'all I love
- 21:42Speaker 1: that name, Branson. I don't know why, but I really
- 21:45Speaker 1: like it. Branson was born on February twenty fourth, nineteen
- 21:49Speaker 1: eighty one and was raised in get More, Missouri by
- 21:52Speaker 1: his parents. His parents were divorced, but they both lived
- 21:56Speaker 1: in the area. Now. Branson lived with his dad, Bob
- 22:00Speaker 1: and Skidmore, and he graduated from not Away Holt High School. Guys,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I love that name for a high school, not a
- 22:10Speaker 1: way that I just thought was so funny. So you've
- 22:15Speaker 1: got to find lightheartedness where you can, and these, you know,
- 22:18Speaker 1: turn out now. April turned out to be a month
- 22:23Speaker 1: from hell for Branson. And I do want to say
- 22:28Speaker 1: right now what we're about to get into is very
- 22:34Speaker 1: troubling and can be triggering for some. We are going
- 22:38Speaker 1: to discuss some sexual assault. I am not going to
- 22:41Speaker 1: get into the details, but if that is something that's
- 22:45Speaker 1: triggering to you, I am going to suggest you mute
- 22:50Speaker 1: for a couple of minutes as I get past it,
- 22:52Speaker 1: or come back and see us on Wednesday now. On
- 22:56Speaker 1: or around April seventh, two thousand and one, Branson went
- 23:00Speaker 1: over to Jason Beerman, a neighbor, and according to what
- 23:04Speaker 1: Branson told his dad, Jason drugged Branson without his knowledge,
- 23:10Speaker 1: and he was then sexually assaulted by Jason. Branson confined
- 23:15Speaker 1: it in his dad, Bob, and told him how upset
- 23:19Speaker 1: he was with being drugged and taken advantage of. Bob
- 23:23Speaker 1: knew that his son was gay, and he figured he
- 23:27Speaker 1: had had relationships with other males. Wasn't sure about this,
- 23:33Speaker 1: but he was furious with Jason for his actions. No
- 23:37Speaker 1: one has the right to drug someone and take away
- 23:43Speaker 1: their ability to say no or to fight back. And
- 23:46Speaker 1: I agree with Bob. I would be furious too, now, guys. Sadly,
- 23:51Speaker 1: it was just four days later, on April eleventh, two
- 23:54Speaker 1: thousand and one, that Branson would walk out of his house.
- 23:58Speaker 1: He was going to take some jumper cape to the
- 24:00Speaker 1: shed and he would never be seen again. Now, Branson
- 24:06Speaker 1: had a friend over, and I AM not going to
- 24:08Speaker 1: get into all of the stuff about the friend, because
- 24:11Speaker 1: I saw a lot of people throwing hate at this
- 24:13Speaker 1: friend online and I just don't think that's okay. His
- 24:20Speaker 1: friend already has to live with questioning should I shouldn't
- 24:24Speaker 1: I should I have done this? So, but Branson had
- 24:27Speaker 1: a friend over and they were getting the house ready
- 24:29Speaker 1: for Bob to return home from a hospital stay. Bob
- 24:33Speaker 1: had to go in have something done and was expected
- 24:37Speaker 1: to be coming home soon. Branson's friend said that Branson said, Hey,
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm going to run out to the shed take the
- 24:44Speaker 1: jumper cables, and that he would be right back now.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Branson didn't return, and his friend just assumed he got distracted,
- 24:54Speaker 1: and because there were some people working on cars out front,
- 24:58Speaker 1: thought maybe he just went off on his own. I mean,
- 25:01Speaker 1: he has that right. So his friend left, you know,
- 25:05Speaker 1: and went home. Guys, I have to tell you there
- 25:08Speaker 1: was a time back when I was in high school.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I was at a friend's house and this friend was
- 25:14Speaker 1: running next door to a neighbor's house to go take something,
- 25:20Speaker 1: and she didn't come back for a couple hours. So
- 25:22Speaker 1: I left because I didn't feel comfortable going knock on
- 25:25Speaker 1: the neighbor's door. I mean, now that I'm an adult,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I think, oh my god, what if something was happening
- 25:31Speaker 1: to her. It wasn't. She was a chatty caddie and
- 25:36Speaker 1: they wound up chatting and she forgot that I was
- 25:39Speaker 1: still at the house, and Guys, I left. Thank God
- 25:43Speaker 1: nothing bad happened, or I would be feeling like that friend.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You know. So after the friend left, no one heard
- 25:51Speaker 1: from Branson, and after several days, branson grandmother she couldn't
- 25:55Speaker 1: reach him my phone, so she drove by to chuck
- 25:58Speaker 1: on her grandson and she found the house unlocked and
- 26:03Speaker 1: Branson's wallet and all of his other items still at
- 26:06Speaker 1: the house. Okay, but she thought maybe he was out
- 26:11Speaker 1: with friends, you know. So over the next several days
- 26:14Speaker 1: she kept trying to call Branson and never received an answer.
- 26:18Speaker 1: She went over to the house again and it was
- 26:21Speaker 1: when it was still empty she called Branson's mom, Rebecca.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Now Rebecca too had not heard from Branson, and once
- 26:29Speaker 1: Bob was released from the hospital, Rebecca and Bob went
- 26:32Speaker 1: to the police station and they filed a missing report
- 26:36Speaker 1: for their twenty year old son Branson. Now Bob at
- 26:40Speaker 1: first thought maybe Branson after what had just happened with
- 26:43Speaker 1: the neighbor, maybe he took off on his own because
- 26:47Speaker 1: he needed to get away, because that is traumatic that
- 26:50Speaker 1: happened to him. But he still followed that missing person's report.
- 26:54Speaker 1: So I give Bob kudos for that and that they
- 26:57Speaker 1: didn't wait any longer. Now, police put together search parties
- 27:02Speaker 1: and they began searching for Branson. They searched the entire
- 27:06Speaker 1: house and the property as well as the surrounding areas.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The jumper cables that Branson was taking to the shed
- 27:14Speaker 1: were not found in the shed or on the property
- 27:18Speaker 1: during that search. Guys. However, about two weeks later, when
- 27:23Speaker 1: another search was done, the jumper cables were on the
- 27:28Speaker 1: ground outside of the shed. Now they found them highly suspicion.
- 27:34Speaker 1: That highly suspicious, and guys, I agree with them, that
- 27:38Speaker 1: is suspicious. In the days and months following the reporting
- 27:42Speaker 1: of his disappearance, Notaway County Police searched a full fifteen
- 27:47Speaker 1: mile radius around Branson's home, along with interviewing hundreds and
- 27:53Speaker 1: hundreds of individuals. Now, during their investigation, they found out
- 27:58Speaker 1: that Branson was a lot like a lot of twenty
- 28:01Speaker 1: year olds, and he was a recreational user of marijuana,
- 28:05Speaker 1: but they weren't sure if there were any connections to
- 28:08Speaker 1: that in his disappearance. Now, this case takes another weird turn.
- 28:15Speaker 1: On April tenth, twenty twenty three, a man by the
- 28:19Speaker 1: name of Jack Wayne Rogers, a Presbyterian minister, was arrested
- 28:24Speaker 1: on charges of first degree assault and practicing medicine without
- 28:31Speaker 1: a license after he removed a transgender woman's gentle tools
- 28:36Speaker 1: and a reassignment surgery in a hotel room. Guys, I'm
- 28:40Speaker 1: gonna stop right there. What of mahel is a Presbyterian
- 28:44Speaker 1: minister doing conducting surgery in a hotel room? Did he
- 28:51Speaker 1: think God gave him some miracle skills and that he
- 28:58Speaker 1: was going to do this? Now, I'm going to give
- 29:01Speaker 1: you another trigger warning that this guy is a wacko.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And I know that's not a nice appropriate term, but
- 29:11Speaker 1: you will understand. So, while they were looking into Jack,
- 29:15Speaker 1: they found over eight hundred child pornogaree fee photos on
- 29:19Speaker 1: his computer, along with discussions about cannibalizing the genitals of
- 29:25Speaker 1: men that he personally had castrated. Once again, he's supposed
- 29:32Speaker 1: to be a minister. Not only does he have child pornography,
- 29:36Speaker 1: he is also doing surgeries like a doctor, and then
- 29:40Speaker 1: he's cannibalizing them. See why I said wacko. Also during
- 29:46Speaker 1: the investigation, law enforcement found messages that Jack had posted
- 29:51Speaker 1: where he detailed picking up a hitchhiker that matches Branson's
- 29:55Speaker 1: descriptions and details how he raped, tortured, and mutilated the
- 30:01Speaker 1: person before killing them. Now, during a search of Jack's property,
- 30:07Speaker 1: a necklace was found that resembled the necklace Branson owned.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I can't say one hundred percent that it was Branson,
- 30:17Speaker 1: but the family said, yeah, he had one just like that.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Now Jack has denied knowing Branson and says that he
- 30:25Speaker 1: made up everything that was in that post. Bullshit. Okay,
- 30:30Speaker 1: just gonna call it that. Are your minds really whacked?
- 30:33Speaker 1: But he is currently in prison serving his sentence for
- 30:37Speaker 1: his other crimes. Now, something I found interesting I found
- 30:41Speaker 1: that Branson's mom said she believes Jack and doesn't think
- 30:46Speaker 1: he had anything to do with Branson's disappearance. Now, I
- 30:51Speaker 1: couldn't find why she said that, but I found it,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and I just thought it was interesting to put in
- 30:58Speaker 1: there because it makes me wonder maybe the mom knows something,
- 31:02Speaker 1: or the police told her something that she couldn't tell,
- 31:06Speaker 1: because I like to say a mom is going to
- 31:10Speaker 1: trust her gut. But I'm glad this man is in
- 31:13Speaker 1: jail because he needs to be there for a very
- 31:16Speaker 1: long time. Now. In two thousand and nine, police had
- 31:19Speaker 1: conducted a search off of a tip where they dug
- 31:22Speaker 1: up a well equipment equipment for two days after receiving
- 31:27Speaker 1: a tip that they thought was very credible. Sadly, nothing
- 31:31Speaker 1: was discovered during the dig. Now, tips continued coming in
- 31:37Speaker 1: after the unsuccessful dig, but they have continued to slow
- 31:41Speaker 1: down as time passed. Now, in August of twenty twenty two,
- 31:47Speaker 1: law enforcement announced that they have a suspect in Branson's disappearance,
- 31:53Speaker 1: but they need additional evidence before they can charge them.
- 31:59Speaker 1: They have not released this person's name. No charges have
- 32:03Speaker 1: been filed. Now. A police officer who found the case
- 32:07Speaker 1: several years after Branson went missing spent the next eighteen
- 32:12Speaker 1: years investigating Branson's case on his off time, and during
- 32:17Speaker 1: that time he came to believe that Branson's disappearance does
- 32:22Speaker 1: have to do with his drug use. And he didn't
- 32:25Speaker 1: say why, but not a way. Sheriff's office has said
- 32:28Speaker 1: they agree. Whether it was it he went to go
- 32:33Speaker 1: buy some marijuana and was abducted on his way, he
- 32:37Speaker 1: owed people money, We don't know, but they do now
- 32:41Speaker 1: think that it could have had something to do with
- 32:43Speaker 1: his disappearance. And I'm guessing if the Sheriff's office agrees
- 32:48Speaker 1: with that statement and that they say they have a suspect,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'm going to say that they know what they're talking about. Now.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Branson's family said they were not aware of his drug
- 32:58Speaker 1: use and they did know much about it until about
- 33:02Speaker 1: three days before he went missing. He had asked a
- 33:05Speaker 1: family member to help get him into rehab Okay, and
- 33:09Speaker 1: that family member helped, but sadly, he went missing before
- 33:13Speaker 1: he was able to enter that facility. And guys, my
- 33:16Speaker 1: heart breaks for him in that family because after being
- 33:20Speaker 1: sexually assaulted in wanting to get some help for his
- 33:26Speaker 1: drug addiction, he went missing before he could get the
- 33:29Speaker 1: help he needed. So now, in May of just this year,
- 33:34Speaker 1: FBI searched another area equipment based off of a tip
- 33:38Speaker 1: that was called in and they conducted another intense dig,
- 33:44Speaker 1: but again no evidence was found relating to Branson or
- 33:48Speaker 1: his disappearance. But police say this is very much an
- 33:53Speaker 1: open case. They will follow up on all tips, and
- 33:57Speaker 1: they worry that with each and every day passing, that
- 34:01Speaker 1: people are dying and taking any secrets or any information
- 34:06Speaker 1: they have with them. Sadly, Branson's dad passed away in
- 34:10Speaker 1: two thousand and four, and his mom died in twenty eleven,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and his grandmother passed away in twenty fifteen. It has
- 34:19Speaker 1: been twenty three years and Branson's siblings and other surviving
- 34:23Speaker 1: family members are still holding out for answers and Branson's disappearance.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Another thing I found or my researching Branson's disappearance is
- 34:35Speaker 1: something that guys made my head spin and my heart
- 34:39Speaker 1: break even more for this family they have gone through it.
- 34:44Speaker 1: On December sixteenth, two thousand and four, just three years
- 34:48Speaker 1: after Branson went missing, his cousin Bobby Joe Stinnett was murdered.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Bobby Joe was twenty three and was eight months pregnant
- 34:58Speaker 1: when Lisa Marie Montgomery strangled Bobby Joe to death and
- 35:03Speaker 1: then cut her fetus out of her womb. Bobby Joe
- 35:09Speaker 1: and Lisa Marie had met and had become friends while
- 35:12Speaker 1: at a dog show, and Lisa Marie had told Bobby
- 35:15Speaker 1: Joe that she too was pregnant, and that helped them
- 35:18Speaker 1: develop a fast friendship. They were both pregnant at the
- 35:21Speaker 1: same time, and on December sixteenth, Lisa Marie went to
- 35:25Speaker 1: Bobby Joe's house proceeded to kill her and take her baby.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Bobby Joe's mother found her daughter lying at a pool
- 35:34Speaker 1: of blood and deceased on the floor. Now police looked
- 35:38Speaker 1: into Bobby Joe's electronic communication and based on this, they
- 35:43Speaker 1: went to interview Lisa Marie the day after Bobby Joe's murder.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Upon arrival, police noticed the same make and model of
- 35:51Speaker 1: a car that a witness had seen outside of Bobby
- 35:54Speaker 1: Joe's house, and inside the house, police found Marie holding
- 36:00Speaker 1: a newborn baby. Lisa had told her husband that she
- 36:04Speaker 1: went into a labor while out shopping and gave birth
- 36:07Speaker 1: to their baby and came home. Guess what, guys, it
- 36:11Speaker 1: doesn't work that way now. Lisa also couldn't keep her
- 36:15Speaker 1: story straight, so police arrested her and took Bobby Joe's
- 36:19Speaker 1: newborn and it was given to Bobby Joe's the baby's father.
- 36:25Speaker 1: The baby was completely unharmed and was okay. Lisa Marie
- 36:30Speaker 1: was found guilty in October of two thousand and seven,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and she was sentenced to death. After failed attempts to
- 36:37Speaker 1: an appeal, Lisa Marie Montgomery was executed on January thirt thirteenth,
- 36:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. I mean, guys, come on, you have
- 36:47Speaker 1: one family member missing and then just three years later,
- 36:50Speaker 1: another one is brutally murdered, and then the mom, dad,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and grandmother of the missing die without having any answers
- 37:00Speaker 1: the trauma that family has had to endure and live with.
- 37:05Speaker 1: I mean, it just rips my heart in two and
- 37:09Speaker 1: I truly hope that the family gets the answers that
- 37:12Speaker 1: they deserve, and that the police get the final piece
- 37:16Speaker 1: of evidence they need, or that they find Branson's worst
- 37:21Speaker 1: body and that there is evidence that ties back to
- 37:24Speaker 1: that suspect. Either way, my heart and prayers go out
- 37:29Speaker 1: to the Perry family and the missing poster that has
- 37:34Speaker 1: been shared on our social media page. I ask that
- 37:37Speaker 1: you please share it. As far as Wesley's there is
- 37:42Speaker 1: age progressed photos in there as well. If you have
- 37:46Speaker 1: any information, please contact Nottaway County Sheriff's Office at six
- 37:51Speaker 1: six zero five eight two seven four five one. And Guys,
- 37:57Speaker 1: after the amount of time, money and resources they've spent
- 38:02Speaker 1: following up on tips and doing these digs, this is
- 38:05Speaker 1: a sheriff's office that I feel confident they get a
- 38:09Speaker 1: credible tip, they are going to go and investigate. So
- 38:13Speaker 1: if you know anything, please contact them. Let's give his
- 38:20Speaker 1: family some closure, some peace, and some answers. They've already
- 38:26Speaker 1: suffered enough. Now I want to share my lighthearted story
- 38:33Speaker 1: that I thought might make us all smile after those
- 38:37Speaker 1: two gut wrenching cases purely fictional you will see, but
- 38:42Speaker 1: I enjoyed writing it, so I hope you find it.
- 38:47Speaker 1: A nice little palate cleanser and the charming town of Austin, Texas,
- 38:53Speaker 1: preparations were in full swing for the annual wine tasting
- 38:56Speaker 1: event at the beloved local shop corkin Barrel. This year,
- 39:01Speaker 1: the centerpiece of the event was a rare nineteen ninety
- 39:05Speaker 1: nine Savignon blanc, effectually known as Savignon Queen, a bottle
- 39:11Speaker 1: that promised to delight the paletts of the town's wine
- 39:15Speaker 1: aficionados and winos. Two. As the event drew nearer, mister
- 39:22Speaker 1: Eric Peterson, the shop's owner, went to get the prize
- 39:25Speaker 1: bottle from the wine cellar, and to his shock, the
- 39:29Speaker 1: bottle was missing. He scoured every corner of the cellar.
- 39:34Speaker 1: The Savignon Queen was nowhere to be found. Now, mister
- 39:39Speaker 1: Peterson quickly called his trustee girls Jin and Maggie, who
- 39:43Speaker 1: were equally baffled. They had meticulously prepared for the event
- 39:48Speaker 1: and they could not imagine how the bottle had disappeared.
- 39:52Speaker 1: As their panic was rising, a good friends stopped by
- 39:57Speaker 1: to help them search. As they all pondered where to
- 40:01Speaker 1: go look. Next, they were interrupted by the loud bleeding
- 40:06Speaker 1: of a goat from a neighboring home. The goat, known
- 40:10Speaker 1: as Jasper the Friendly Goat, was notorious for his mischievous antics.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Jasper had a reputation for sneaking into places he shouldn't
- 40:19Speaker 1: be and for being naughty. The group followed the sound
- 40:24Speaker 1: of Jasper's bleeding to the neighbor's backyard, where he found
- 40:27Speaker 1: Jasper looking rather pleased with himself. Mister Peterson noticed a
- 40:32Speaker 1: broken bottle nearby, its label unmistakenly that of the nineteen
- 40:38Speaker 1: ninety nine Sevenyon Queen. Jasper exclaimed, mister Peterson, what have
- 40:44Speaker 1: you done? Jasper, with a guilty look in his eyes,
- 40:49Speaker 1: had indeed found his way into the cellar the broken
- 40:52Speaker 1: bottle in the distinct smell of wine included everyone in
- 40:57Speaker 1: on what happened. It appeared that Jasper had managed to
- 41:01Speaker 1: take the bottle of wine and, in his typical fashion,
- 41:05Speaker 1: decided to have a taste. Now, mister Peterson couldn't help
- 41:09Speaker 1: but laugh at the absurdity of this situation, saying, well,
- 41:14Speaker 1: it looks like Jasper has quite expensive taste, just like
- 41:18Speaker 1: his owner Terry. True Crime. He chuckled. The townsfolks have
- 41:24Speaker 1: gathered around to see what the commotion was about, and
- 41:27Speaker 1: they burst into laughter as Jasper the Goat had become
- 41:31Speaker 1: the unluckily unlikely star of the wine tasting event, his
- 41:36Speaker 1: antics adding a layer of humor to the day. Now,
- 41:41Speaker 1: not wanting to disappoint the attendees, mister Peterson quickly retrieved
- 41:46Speaker 1: another fine bottle of wine from his collection, and the
- 41:49Speaker 1: wine tasting continued with plenty of cheer and laughter. As
- 41:54Speaker 1: for Jasper, he was escorted back home, much to the
- 41:58Speaker 1: amusement of everyone, and the story of Jasper and the
- 42:02Speaker 1: missing wine became an instant hit. Mister Peterson, raising a
- 42:08Speaker 1: glass of the replacement wine, toasted to the unexpected twist
- 42:13Speaker 1: of life. Here's to Jasper, he declared, the goat with
- 42:17Speaker 1: the finest palette in Texas. And so the wine tasting
- 42:22Speaker 1: event turned out to be a memorable success, thanks in
- 42:26Speaker 1: part to a very curious but naughty goat, Jasper the
- 42:32Speaker 1: friendly Goat. So I hope that was a nice little palette.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Cleanser thought I would loop in a little fun there
- 42:41Speaker 1: with Jasper, and of course wine, since we all know
- 42:45Speaker 1: I like to enjoy my wine time. Now, I want
- 42:48Speaker 1: to thank you all for joining me today and I
- 42:51Speaker 1: look forward to seeing you all again on Wednesday for
