At 1 AM Friday, police arrived at a party in East Harbor Highlands after reports of shots fired—finding a 17-year-old with a head injury and a semi-automatic pistol nearby. Three masked intruders had forced entry, prompting the teen to pull his own gun. A scuffle ensued, resulting in a pistol-whip and a discharge—but no one was hit. The suspects fled before cops arrived. The teen, hospitalized and later booked at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center, faces charges for illegal gun possession and carrying while intoxicated.
