- 0:00Speaker 1: Can we fall in love quickly? Please? I have a
- 0:01Speaker 1: two o'clock. It's one more thing.
- 0:05Speaker 2: That's great thanking for before we get to this. And
- 0:08Speaker 2: I know the podcast lives on forever and you might
- 0:11Speaker 2: be listening to this six years from now, but if
- 0:13Speaker 2: you're listening to it anywhere near June the fifth, twenty
- 0:17Speaker 2: twenty five, Elon just started shooting back at Trump on Twitter.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We talked about it a lot on the radio show.
- 0:24Speaker 2: We think by the end of by sunset today on
- 0:27Speaker 2: June fifth, they will be taking personal shots at each
- 0:30Speaker 2: other as two of the most powerful people on earth
- 0:33Speaker 2: that you can't imagine.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I say it happens while I'm still picking my lunch
- 0:37Speaker 1: out of my teeth. It's not gonna be till sunset. Holy.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Elon just said Trump would not have won without me.
- 0:44Speaker 2: That's gonna piss Trump off. That's gonna really get under
- 0:47Speaker 2: his skin.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Oh boy, all right, Moron, that's come on the live
- 0:51Speaker 1: radio show tomorrow. If you're listening today, If you're listening tomorrow,
- 0:54Speaker 1: it was yesterday. If you're listening three days from now,
- 0:57Speaker 1: it was a week from two.
- 0:58Speaker 2: If you're listening in four years, how is AI working
- 1:00Speaker 2: out of any robots drained your blood or anything.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Eating your liver straight out of your belly. All right,
- 1:08Speaker 1: a moment to center ourself. Now, Oh, there we go.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So I'm reading my reams and reams of media the
- 1:14Speaker 1: other day and I came across what was a follow
- 1:17Speaker 1: up article on a woman who writes a well loved
- 1:22Speaker 1: column about love, and it was a ten year follow
- 1:26Speaker 1: up on her relationship with her man, which began with
- 1:33Speaker 1: an essay from well, it's a study, an essay a
- 1:38Speaker 1: thing of a jigger from a psychologist about whether intimacy
- 1:43Speaker 1: between two strangers can be accelerated, how you can go
- 1:47Speaker 1: through a process and be in love or damn close
- 1:52Speaker 1: to it at the end of the very very brief process.
- 1:56Speaker 2: So that you can get to the divorce by dinner
- 1:58Speaker 2: time or what?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Wow, I don't you're in a hurry. I don't know exactly,
- 2:03Speaker 1: although before you get to your harsh and idiotic judgments something. Now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: I sound like trumpet elon, don't I let me explain
- 2:12Speaker 1: what's going on here? And I guess this made a
- 2:16Speaker 1: bit of noise around ten years ago. I either missed
- 2:19Speaker 1: it or have forgotten about it. Thirty six questions, broken
- 2:27Speaker 1: up into three sets you go through with that person,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and then you stare into each other's eyes for four minutes.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Now some people say two minutes is enough, some people
- 2:41Speaker 1: say it really takes four minutes. So you go through
- 2:44Speaker 1: these thirty six questions which I will absolutely read you,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and then you stare into each other's eyes, and by
- 2:51Speaker 1: the end of it, if there is love to be
- 2:55Speaker 1: found there, you'll have found it. The idea being I
- 3:01Speaker 1: can explain it to you, but go ahead.
- 3:03Speaker 2: So I've thought this many times in my life before
- 3:05Speaker 2: we even had this discussion. I look back over people
- 3:08Speaker 2: that I ended up in relationships with, and you know,
- 3:12Speaker 2: the feeling that we generally call love, although what what
- 3:14Speaker 2: it love is, it gets very very complicated. I mean,
- 3:16Speaker 2: the long lasting dedication to supporting someone blah blah blah
- 3:22Speaker 2: versus the you know, butterflies in your stomach la la lalla,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but not to mention the hats, uh yeah, but the
- 3:30Speaker 2: the closely related to the butterflies, the butterflies thing of mine.
- 3:35Speaker 2: In every instance it's happened to me in my life.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I can remember the moment that our eyes locked for
- 3:43Speaker 2: however long, and that's when the magic happens. Of nobody
- 3:47Speaker 2: actually understands if it's pheromones, or we read each other's
- 3:52Speaker 2: genome and realize we could have healthy kids together, or
- 3:57Speaker 2: what the hell goes on there? But I got I
- 4:00Speaker 2: remember the moment for every situation, and that's when it happened.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So I can absolutely believe that if you went through
- 4:07Speaker 2: a room like a big group of people and y'all
- 4:10Speaker 2: both star at each other's for a certain percentage, I
- 4:12Speaker 2: don't know what percentage you it would happen.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Well, and feel free to jump in whenever you want,
- 4:16Speaker 1: Katie or Michael or home you know, either one. But
- 4:20Speaker 1: that it's funny I got. I got like an electric
- 4:22Speaker 1: charge through me when you describe that we met eyes
- 4:26Speaker 1: and moment, and nobody has to fill out what happens
- 4:30Speaker 1: after the end. Everybody who's ever fallen in love knows it,
- 4:34Speaker 1: and it can be an extremely brief yeah, locking of eyes.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, That's that's why I've always thought, if you get
- 4:42Speaker 2: turned down, you got to just realize that whatever whatever
- 4:46Speaker 2: this magic was, wasn't there. You don't have to take
- 4:48Speaker 2: it personally.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It's not a rejection of your qualities as a human being.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It feels like it is, and I always thought it
- 4:54Speaker 1: was but no, it's it's funny. I had this this
- 4:58Speaker 1: experience years ago of I was walking through an airport
- 5:02Speaker 1: and there are all sorts of human beings. There are
- 5:04Speaker 1: some of the best people watching on earth, including you know,
- 5:06Speaker 1: attractive females, and I am a flaming heterosexual though faithfully married,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and I passed one woman and my brain about exploded.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Wow, that's interesting.
- 5:15Speaker 1: She was my type. And you know, it's probably not
- 5:20Speaker 1: an insane to state that she looked a fair amount
- 5:23Speaker 1: like my wife did when she was young and we
- 5:25Speaker 1: got together, but it was it was striking. It was
- 5:28Speaker 1: like she's good looking, she's kind of hot, ha ha.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was. It was crazy, and so I thought, wow,
- 5:36Speaker 1: there is something going on there, whether it's Freudian biochemical
- 5:40Speaker 1: as you're suggesting, or whatever that either is or it isn't.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I believe we read each other's genomes with our with
- 5:45Speaker 2: our minds. But yes, Michael Show, did your mouth I
- 5:48Speaker 2: love you too? Well?
- 5:50Speaker 1: No, I said it. I grabbed her in both my
- 5:52Speaker 1: arms and gave her a long kid. You're like the
- 5:55Speaker 1: sailor with the nurse after World War two exactly. And
- 5:58Speaker 1: when the cops stopped beating me anyway, all right, So
- 6:04Speaker 1: here's the stuff. I love you, that's us So all right,
- 6:13Speaker 1: here's the story this. Psychologist Arthur Aaron and others were
- 6:17Speaker 1: exploring whether intimacy between two strangers can be accelerated by
- 6:22Speaker 1: having them ask each other a specific series of personal questions.
- 6:25Speaker 1: The thirty six questions in the study are broken up
- 6:27Speaker 1: into three sets, each, with each set intended to be
- 6:30Speaker 1: more probing than the previous one. The idea is that
- 6:33Speaker 1: mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. To quote the studies authors quote,
- 6:39Speaker 1: one key pattern associating with the development of close relationship
- 6:43Speaker 1: among peers is sustained, escalating reciprocal personal self disclosure. Allowing
- 6:50Speaker 1: oneself to be vulnerable with another person can be exceedingly difficult,
- 6:54Speaker 1: so this exercise forces the issue. Now, I can't remember, Jacket,
- 6:59Speaker 1: may have been during the radio show when we were
- 7:01Speaker 1: talking about doing this. You asked, is accelerating it necessarily
- 7:06Speaker 1: a good idea? Well, what you are?
- 7:07Speaker 2: Would you want to? Or is the drawn out process
- 7:10Speaker 2: of it happening at the pace it currently happens? Is
- 7:12Speaker 2: like the greatest thing in the world is do.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You earn your way in? Is the way I'd put it.
- 7:18Speaker 2: So like here's how to skip over having to eat
- 7:21Speaker 2: Thanksgiving dinner. It takes too long to enjoy those flavors.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Here you can enjoy all the flavors immediately in like
- 7:26Speaker 2: two seconds.
- 7:27Speaker 1: In a pill. I don't want to well, right, and again,
- 7:33Speaker 1: it could be argued that the time spent working your
- 7:37Speaker 1: way from set one to set two in real life,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's an application process. Like I said, you've got to
- 7:42Speaker 1: earn your way in.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Maybe your heart would explode if you fell in love
- 7:46Speaker 2: instantly alta.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well as opposed to all right, let's move on to
- 7:50Speaker 1: a higher level of intimacy. Ready, here we go, I mean, anyway,
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's an interesting theory. And the one you're done, you
- 8:01Speaker 1: stare into each other's eyes for four minutes set number one.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Let's go through the question.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You can't stare into someone someone's eyes. You can pick
- 8:09Speaker 2: an eye and stare into it, thank you, And it's
- 8:13Speaker 2: always bothered me.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yes, Mike, if I feel like we're losing the thread here,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you pick an eye and you stare into that eye,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and maybe they're staring into the same eye as you,
- 8:21Speaker 1: or you're staring into two different eyes, or you alter
- 8:23Speaker 1: their left and they're staring into your right, so you
- 8:25Speaker 1: aren't really even looking at each other. Wow. And what
- 8:28Speaker 1: if you're like me and you have the crazy eyes
- 8:30Speaker 1: exactly right? Got them real tor eyes? Yeah, that's that's funny.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It's neurological truth. Thank you Jack. Here we go now,
- 8:38Speaker 1: set number one. This definitely starts with ice breaking party
- 8:44Speaker 1: game and moves on from there. Here's your first set
- 8:47Speaker 1: of twelve twelve questions. I think it is twelve. Yeah. Uh. One,
- 8:52Speaker 1: given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would
- 8:54Speaker 1: you want to as a dinner guest? Just stop me
- 8:58Speaker 1: if you want me to stop, we can discuss the
- 9:00Speaker 1: the greater length animal after two? Would you like to
- 9:03Speaker 1: be famous? In what way? I would? Well? Yeah, answer
- 9:11Speaker 1: if we If we answer all of these Number one,
- 9:15Speaker 1: it's going to be really time consuming. Number two, we'll
- 9:17Speaker 1: all be in love with each other and that would
- 9:19Speaker 1: make it super weird to do the show a trumple
- 9:22Speaker 1: or quadruple or whatever. Yeah, good lord, it was right?
- 9:25Speaker 1: All right? Here we go.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Uh.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what
- 9:29Speaker 1: you're going to say? Why this is? I tell you what?
- 9:34Speaker 1: As you work your way because I've read all these
- 9:37Speaker 1: as I work my way through them. I definitely felt
- 9:40Speaker 1: a I would feel really close to this person?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Is this yeah? I don't want to get off track.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Here is the assumption that if you answer the same
- 9:48Speaker 2: you are a better fit or is it just not
- 9:52Speaker 2: at all? Okay, it's just the having the conversation is
- 9:55Speaker 2: a way to find out about.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Each other, you know. As I said in the UH
- 9:59Speaker 1: and the introduction, it's all about escalating vulnerability and trust reciprocal.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Where is that phrase, escalating reciprocal personal self disclosure? Okay?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Where were we? What would constitute the perfect day for you?
- 10:19Speaker 1: What did you last sing to yourself or to someone else?
- 10:24Speaker 2: I sing to myself every single day.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Every day, although this shows ruined my throat. Six. If
- 10:30Speaker 1: you were able to live to the age of ninety
- 10:32Speaker 1: and retain either the mind or body of a thirty
- 10:35Speaker 1: year old for the last sixty years of your life,
- 10:37Speaker 1: which would you want?
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's an obvious one to me. Without the brain, what
- 10:43Speaker 2: the hell's the point?
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'd be handsome as hell. What's the point of being
- 10:48Speaker 1: some brainiac?
- 10:49Speaker 2: You're old and wandering around the neighborhood. No, your brain's fine.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Seven? No, do you have a secret hunch how you
- 10:56Speaker 1: will die? A Name three things you and your partner
- 11:02Speaker 1: appear to have in common. Your partner being the person
- 11:04Speaker 1: that you're doing this with.
- 11:06Speaker 2: That last one clearly h ob halo bullets.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Terminal syphilis because I play around a lot. Oh my gosh, horror.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That is great pleasure in life. I can't give up.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So yeah, yep, dad from syphilis. All right, Moving on
- 11:28Speaker 1: to question eight, I'll say fireworks accident. All right, Name
- 11:34Speaker 1: three things you and your partner appear to have in common.
- 11:36Speaker 1: That's that's a good little bonding one. Eight. What in
- 11:40Speaker 1: your life do you for? What in your life do
- 11:42Speaker 1: you feel most grateful? Ten? If you could change anything
- 11:48Speaker 1: about the way you were raised, what would it be?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Oh that's a good one.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Oh and that is getting a little more deeply into
- 11:55Speaker 1: who I am. You are? And yeah, take number eleven.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story
- 12:02Speaker 1: in as much detail as possible.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Take how many minutes? Four minutes, as much as the
- 12:08Speaker 2: period of time four minutes?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. Uh. If you could wake up tomorrow having
- 12:13Speaker 1: gained any one quality or ability, what would it be? Oh? Boy,
- 12:18Speaker 1: there we go. Uh huh. Here's where the guy says
- 12:21Speaker 1: something stupid and the woman rolls her eyes, but then realizes,
- 12:25Speaker 1: now he's a dope boy, but I kind of like him,
- 12:29Speaker 1: which you know, honestly, I can think of several instances
- 12:34Speaker 1: in a couple of relationships, particularly with the Lovely Judith,
- 12:38Speaker 1: where the vibe was, I've been an idiot and I
- 12:44Speaker 1: screwed up, but you're forgiving me and laughing along with me.
- 12:49Speaker 1: That's that's a step.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Oh huge, that's huge.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, ron to set too. Does anybody need to have
- 12:56Speaker 1: a good cry or wipe their nose.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Can kind of screwed me up a little, to tighten.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Their pelt or anything? All right, on set too. So
- 13:06Speaker 1: this question thirteen, if a crystal ball could tell you
- 13:08Speaker 1: the truth about yourself, your life, the future, or anything else,
- 13:11Speaker 1: what would you want to know?
- 13:15Speaker 2: That's a tough one.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, huh.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Who's going to win Super Bowl fifty seven?
- 13:27Speaker 1: All right? Next question? Is there something that you've dreamed
- 13:30Speaker 1: of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?
- 13:35Speaker 1: That's a good one. Again, you're gonna have to admit,
- 13:40Speaker 1: so say what I'm going to do too much and.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Start on it too little laziness, fear, whatever it would be,
- 13:46Speaker 2: whatever it would be, it wouldn't be an attractive quality.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So that's a good question for that reason.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, escalating levels vulnerability. Here we go. Fifteen, what
- 13:55Speaker 1: is the greatest accomplishment of your life? What do you
- 13:58Speaker 1: value most in a friend ship?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Fourth of July, couple of years ago. I ate seven
- 14:03Speaker 2: hot dogs in one sitting.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Why impressive? That is great? Moving along to the friendship thing.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Then seventeen is what is your most treasured memory? And
- 14:15Speaker 1: then eighteen what is your most terrible memory?
- 14:17Speaker 2: Oh? My god, fuck, I don't even know if I
- 14:20Speaker 2: want to think about that, but I could see why
- 14:22Speaker 2: it would be a valuable conversation.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding. Nineteen options if a skip? No, no,
- 14:29Speaker 1: absolutely not. You can't skip. I'm rejecting you for even
- 14:32Speaker 1: suggesting it. Next, let's get started with question one. Here
- 14:35Speaker 1: we go, Let's say nineteen if you knew that in
- 14:37Speaker 1: one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything
- 14:40Speaker 1: about the way you are living now?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Why these are good?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah? And the way they kind of go up
- 14:47Speaker 1: and down in intensity I think is super small. You
- 14:49Speaker 1: got to send me this list, Oh I will, I
- 14:51Speaker 1: absolutely will.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I want to use it, and we'll post this whole.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Thing at Armstrong and geddy dot com. There it is
- 14:58Speaker 1: twenty What does friendship mean to you? Twenty one? What
- 15:03Speaker 1: roles do love and affection play in your life?
- 15:06Speaker 2: I'm always a question behind. They would help me bury
- 15:08Speaker 2: your body, they would bail me out, Yeah exactly.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Uh yeah, you know that's I've heard that said before.
- 15:16Speaker 1: They'd show up to bill you out without asking what
- 15:18Speaker 1: you did. Oh, that's a good goal, right, kil three hobos.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Thanks for dropping boy, I need a ride home. Let's
- 15:26Speaker 1: see it too. Alternate sharing something you consider a positive
- 15:31Speaker 1: characteristic of your partner. Share a total of five items.
- 15:36Speaker 1: You go back and forth. Here's this is an interesting
- 15:40Speaker 1: transition because this is not revealing yourself exactly. This is
- 15:46Speaker 1: saying I really.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Like you something positive about them, and you don't know
- 15:50Speaker 2: them very well, though you might.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I mean, this is not a speed dating thing. This
- 15:57Speaker 1: is you have an interest in each other.
- 16:01Speaker 2: When do we stare into each other's eye at the
- 16:03Speaker 2: end of it, I'm gonna stare into your eye. Hold still,
- 16:06Speaker 2: We're almost done. I tell you what you fixated on
- 16:11Speaker 2: that whole?
- 16:11Speaker 1: You know, it's actually impossible to stare into both Some
- 16:14Speaker 1: say we don't move on from that. We're done? Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: right for real, next for starting to question one again,
- 16:20Speaker 1: come on in here for almost for almost done with
- 16:23Speaker 1: section two. This is twenty three How close and warm
- 16:27Speaker 1: is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier
- 16:30Speaker 1: than most other people? And then twenty four how do
- 16:34Speaker 1: you feel about your relationship with your mother? And then
- 16:40Speaker 1: I guess you take a break, or you take a
- 16:42Speaker 1: shower or something, to do five push ups and you
- 16:44Speaker 1: come back for set number three. You thought the first
- 16:47Speaker 1: two sets, Oh my.
- 16:48Speaker 2: God, there's more. This is exhausting.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it is all right, Katie.
- 16:53Speaker 2: No I'm not. This is a lot.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Well you're a woman.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You better drive a nice car if you expect her
- 17:00Speaker 2: to stick around for round three.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Oh oh too shallow to swimming. Here we go, Set three,
- 17:09Speaker 1: make it set this is number twenty five. Make three
- 17:12Speaker 1: true quote we statements. For instance, we are both in
- 17:16Speaker 1: this room feeling something twenty six Complete this sentence. I
- 17:21Speaker 1: wish I had someone with whom I could share like.
- 17:27Speaker 2: A popsicle this samewich, that's right to pizza.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm really hungry.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Twenty seven if you were to I was thinking about
- 17:38Speaker 2: that the other day. A walk around the block when
- 17:41Speaker 2: I go for a walk at night. I thought that'd
- 17:43Speaker 2: be a good one. I see other people walking with someone,
- 17:46Speaker 2: and I think that would be nice.
- 17:47Speaker 1: You know, Judy and I walk the dog together every morning,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and sometimes one of us will sleep in for whatever
- 17:54Speaker 1: reason or have like an early morning appointment or something
- 17:56Speaker 1: like that, and if we miss it, I hate it,
- 18:00Speaker 1: just hate it.
- 18:01Speaker 2: My mom and dad walked together every night. She's for
- 18:03Speaker 2: decades and decades and decades.
- 18:05Speaker 1: That's a beautiful thing. Uh So, there you go. That's
- 18:09Speaker 1: the sort of answer that you would share with somebody
- 18:11Speaker 1: and it'd be like wow, anyway. Twenty that was really
- 18:15Speaker 1: well put, Joe, You do this for a living. Twenty seven.
- 18:18Speaker 1: If you were going to become a close friend with
- 18:20Speaker 1: your partner, please share what would be important for him
- 18:22Speaker 1: or her to know about you. I drink a lot,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and when people tell me I drink too much, that
- 18:33Speaker 1: makes me drink more. So don't bother. Twenty eight. Tell
- 18:39Speaker 1: your partner what you like about them. Be very honest
- 18:42Speaker 1: this time, saying things that you might not say to
- 18:45Speaker 1: someone you've just met. Wow, so we're going back for
- 18:48Speaker 1: round two of this. But this is not a cocktail party.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Be real. Twenty nine Share with your partner, an embarrassing
- 18:55Speaker 1: moment in your life more vulnerability obviously thirty When did
- 18:59Speaker 1: you last cry in front of another person? When did
- 19:03Speaker 1: you let last cry by yourself? Thirty one Tell your
- 19:08Speaker 1: partner something that you like about them already so we're
- 19:11Speaker 1: back to that again so soon? Thirty two What if
- 19:14Speaker 1: anything is too serious to be joked about? Boy?
- 19:18Speaker 2: I don't know if there is a topic for me
- 19:20Speaker 2: hardly but short.
- 19:21Speaker 1: List no doubt? Yeah. Uh. Thirty three If you were
- 19:27Speaker 1: to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone,
- 19:31Speaker 1: what would you most regret not having told someone?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Wow?
- 19:36Speaker 1: And why haven't you told them yet? Wow? I think
- 19:39Speaker 1: we're all gonna need a minute. Wow gitting for clemped? Yeah? Yeah, Okay.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Now when the two of you are both done crying,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you can continue with number thirty four. Your house containing
- 19:55Speaker 1: everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones
- 19:58Speaker 1: and pets, you have time to say, if we make
- 20:00Speaker 1: a final dash to save any one item, what would
- 20:03Speaker 1: it be and why it wouldn't be my fire extinguisher
- 20:08Speaker 1: because it didn't do me any good.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I assume you're not thinking about like your tax files
- 20:14Speaker 2: or birth certificates or something, or are you.
- 20:18Speaker 1: You answer however you want? You're telling me how to answer.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You're too oppressive. Next, let's start again with question one.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He's telling me how to answer the questions.
- 20:28Speaker 2: There'll probably be paperwork actually.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Boring.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but there's some things it would be
- 20:34Speaker 2: really really really really difficult to lose.
- 20:38Speaker 1: The classic answer wedding photos, family pictures, a lot of
- 20:43Speaker 1: them are on the cloud.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Now yeah, yeah, wow.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well, you know what's interesting about this question is you
- 20:52Speaker 1: can sit here and think about it, whereas the very
- 20:55Speaker 1: structure of the question implies you would have no time
- 20:58Speaker 1: to think about it. Wow. I don't even know the
- 21:02Speaker 1: answer to that question. It's like, it's a really interesting
- 21:06Speaker 1: question and worth the discussion in this context. But that's
- 21:09Speaker 1: like one of those you know, how would you react
- 21:11Speaker 1: if someone pulled a gun on you?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, the problem with this is, uh, a lot
- 21:16Speaker 2: of the answers could sound really shallow. I mean, if
- 21:18Speaker 2: I've got my loved ones out and everything like that,
- 21:20Speaker 2: and like if all important paperwork is in a safe,
- 21:22Speaker 2: which in my case it is, which bright survived the fire,
- 21:25Speaker 2: and then it's probably gonna be something kind of material.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I'm afraid I PlayStation five. Yeah, something like that. I
- 21:33Speaker 2: got a couple of guitars I'd hate to see burned up.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I was gonna say, I might grab my telecaster. It's
- 21:40Speaker 1: it's it's a totem of some of the best times
- 21:44Speaker 1: I've ever had. It was in my hand while I
- 21:47Speaker 1: was doing some of the things I've loved the most. Anyway, Uh,
- 21:51Speaker 1: but you know it's again, it's not it's not like
- 21:53Speaker 1: there's a right or wrong answer.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So there's a wrong answer. I'm sorry, that's the wrong answer.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Right my collection of iguana hide. I mean, the point
- 22:02Speaker 1: is that you're being intimate anyway. Moving along, second, last one,
- 22:05Speaker 1: thirty five of all the people in your family, whose
- 22:08Speaker 1: death would you find most disturbing? My god, what kind
- 22:12Speaker 1: of question is that? It's a question that only people
- 22:15Speaker 1: who are really, really close would deal with. Wow, this
- 22:20Speaker 1: is what we're doing.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Because you pick one. You got to leave some people out, obviously.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And then this is the last one. Share a personal
- 22:30Speaker 1: problem and ask your partner's advice on how he or
- 22:33Speaker 1: she might handle it. Also, ask your partner to reflect
- 22:36Speaker 1: back to you how you seem to be feeling about
- 22:40Speaker 1: the problem. You have chosen. Oh, I get it. Okay,
- 22:45Speaker 1: So how would you handle this? And can you tell
- 22:50Speaker 1: how I feel about this problem? How? What? What are
- 22:57Speaker 1: you sensing from me when I describe this? So don't
- 23:03Speaker 1: just solve it for me. Understand what I'm really trying
- 23:07Speaker 1: to tell you.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Crab grass in the side yard.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Tried everything, I'd rip it up and resad and I
- 23:20Speaker 1: can tell you really hate crab grass.
- 23:24Speaker 2: There we just gave you for instance.
- 23:26Speaker 1: You know what you keep crabgrass mode? It looks great.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well when I mode lawns, I mostly mode crab grass.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Honestly. Sure. Back in yeah, yeah, nobody had a lawn
- 23:40Speaker 1: worth a crab.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Everything was just mowed down weeds which looked pretty nice.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Actually yeah the crab huh no, no, no, next. So
- 23:51Speaker 1: there you have it. We will post that at Armstrong
- 23:53Speaker 1: and getty dot com, but under like hot links for
- 23:56Speaker 1: June the fifth, or can we give it like a banner,
- 24:00Speaker 1: you know, featured position? Yeah?
- 24:02Speaker 2: I would like to run through those questions sometime in
- 24:03Speaker 2: my life. That sounds pretty cool.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll have our people get on that. Hope you
- 24:07Speaker 1: enjoyed it, and God bless you in your pursuits romantic,
- 24:11Speaker 1: professional and otherwise.
- 24:12Speaker 2: And if you've got someone, go home and stare them
- 24:15Speaker 2: in the eye.
- 24:17Speaker 1: If you could kill three people this afternoon and how
- 24:24Speaker 1: be detailed.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Yeah, well I guess that's it.
