- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, let's begin. Hey everybody, we are ten degrees
- 0:04Speaker 1: away from freezing in California. I don't know why it's
- 0:06Speaker 1: so cold in the sun is out and it's beautiful,
- 0:08Speaker 1: but but I've got like mittens on. Yeah, Like my
- 0:12Speaker 1: house is called because for the first time, the first time, right,
- 0:17Speaker 1: and it smells a little bit like because it's probably
- 0:19Speaker 1: killing all the flies in there something. That's what's happening
- 0:23Speaker 1: in my house. The heat is on. The heat is on.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It says it's fifty nine degrees, but that's bullshit. It's
- 0:32Speaker 1: really forty something. No, it's not forties, bro, but it's
- 0:36Speaker 1: it's this morning, it was forty seven degree. It's cold
- 0:39Speaker 1: for La man. This is not normal. But at least
- 0:42Speaker 1: the sun is out. It's beautiful out. It's warmer in
- 0:44Speaker 1: New York City right now it looks like a yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: it feels like a beautiful New York City fall day
- 0:50Speaker 1: in La La Land. I have something to show you,
- 0:55Speaker 1: Oh gods in the canyons that will never fade away.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Ballads in the barrooms that played by those who came before.
- 1:04Speaker 1: They say you've got a Vaughan and more so I
- 1:08Speaker 1: beg at every door. No one wants to hear that.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I mean, I do, but the audience doesn't. The audience
- 1:17Speaker 1: was a little upset about the ship we talked about that.
- 1:19Speaker 1: They were like enough with the Star Wars, someone like, um,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I saw one comment that was like, oh my god,
- 1:27Speaker 1: it's now an Andor and Scrubs podcast. I'm in, well,
- 1:31Speaker 1: I love that person. But to the people that were like,
- 1:34Speaker 1: can you just tell us when we had to fast
- 1:36Speaker 1: forward too so we can get to the Scrubs talking,
- 1:39Speaker 1: you can't eat a day. You know, I was thinking
- 1:42Speaker 1: about the subject of haters and and I was thinking
- 1:45Speaker 1: a lot about Taylor Swift because you know, when I
- 1:48Speaker 1: loved about Taylor Swift for the being the first human
- 1:52Speaker 1: being to take over every slot of the Top ten billboard.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's crazy is that because she has the level of
- 1:58Speaker 1: fame she has, she also probably had the most haters
- 2:01Speaker 1: because just you know, per capita, that many people, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: I just I just love that with someone with that
- 2:08Speaker 1: many detractors said, I don't it doesn't matter. Look at
- 2:13Speaker 1: look at the numbers, look at look at I'm she
- 2:16Speaker 1: didn't say that. What she said was that hate hate, hate, hate, hate, right,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying I love for someone I love for
- 2:23Speaker 1: someone who has um probably the most haters that she
- 2:28Speaker 1: has told you she gave you the formula. She gave
- 2:33Speaker 1: you the formula. Shake that shit off, Zach, Yeah, shake
- 2:36Speaker 1: it off. Well, listen, Joel, was it you who pointed
- 2:39Speaker 1: out someone pointed out to me there has never not
- 2:43Speaker 1: been a male artist in the top ten. Oh it
- 2:47Speaker 1: wasn't me. But that's a fascinating piece of absormation. Mon
- 2:51Speaker 1: Taylor for the women. Um, I'm just impressed with her.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And I liked the album a lot. Um you know,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I I do, I do. I gotta say, you know,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I like I like Taylor Swift and I love Taylor Swift.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And I'm not a huge fan of the album. Okay,
- 3:08Speaker 1: not every song is a bop, but there's like there's
- 3:11Speaker 1: two great singles and then there's some that are very moving,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think, but you know, maybe that's the It's not
- 3:18Speaker 1: my favorite record of hers. And I'm not alone, Jam,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you know, I'm not alone in saying this, But I
- 3:24Speaker 1: do appreciate what she's done. I think this is I think,
- 3:27Speaker 1: just for music in general and for the you know,
- 3:31Speaker 1: her path is one of you know, she's a right
- 3:35Speaker 1: she came from being a writer and a little kid
- 3:37Speaker 1: who liked to write songs, and now she's captured all
- 3:42Speaker 1: ten spots on the top one, top ten spots on
- 3:45Speaker 1: the Side's amazing. I'm so impressed with her. And and
- 3:48Speaker 1: you know, it's like even Jack Antonoff, who produces her stuff,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I've made him a couple times, couldn't be a nicer person.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I saw that he was. He was getting a lot
- 3:55Speaker 1: of hate people like, oh my god, he's he's making
- 3:57Speaker 1: all these albums from all these women of sound the same,
- 4:01Speaker 1: which I don't know enough about to even comment on.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But I thought the production was really cool and unique.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And I don't know, I'm just like, I'm happy for
- 4:10Speaker 1: them because like they got, they got they got a
- 4:12Speaker 1: lot of like mixed reviews, I guess, I surmise mixed.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I think mixed mixed reviews with success is kind of
- 4:19Speaker 1: what you want, isn't it right. I'm just this is
- 4:22Speaker 1: this is coming off of your comment about like, oh,
- 4:24Speaker 1: some people were hating on us talking so much about
- 4:27Speaker 1: and yeah, and I know you're kidding, and it's like
- 4:30Speaker 1: a micro thing compared to what I'm talking about, but
- 4:32Speaker 1: in the larger scoop of things, I just kept I
- 4:35Speaker 1: just kept smiling for Taylor Swift this week because I
- 4:37Speaker 1: was just like, this girl, this woman has so many
- 4:40Speaker 1: detractors and obviously nine zillion fans. She's going on a
- 4:43Speaker 1: full stadium tour. But um but I was just I
- 4:47Speaker 1: was just impressed, Like, we're at her go. She's got everything.
- 4:49Speaker 1: No one has ever had every song in the top
- 4:51Speaker 1: ten before. That's incredible, that's amazing. And you know what
- 4:55Speaker 1: I say to Taylor, do or do not? There is
- 4:59Speaker 1: no try. You know that does sound like Frank Oz,
- 5:03Speaker 1: but it's actually Can I show you guys something that
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm very proud of. Yes, please, I have a visual display.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Um um, so, my trailer and poster for my film
- 5:16Speaker 1: with Morgan Freeman and Florence pew Is are getting ready
- 5:18Speaker 1: to drop in December, and I'm going to give you
- 5:22Speaker 1: guys the first. Uh, this is the first. This is
- 5:25Speaker 1: the final print of the poster. Hung it on the
- 5:29Speaker 1: stand to show you it's big. Love it. I love it. Wow. Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 1: this is eye catching. Is that cool? That's really cool.
- 5:43Speaker 1: That's really great. I'm so excited about it. You guys, Wow,
- 5:47Speaker 1: you should be cool. I can't wait. And uh, it's
- 5:54Speaker 1: only in theaters. Only in theaters. UM audience, please mark
- 5:59Speaker 1: your calendars. It will be in UM UM I believe,
- 6:02Speaker 1: unless something changes, it will be in UM New York, La,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Texas UM the twenty fourth of March, and then it
- 6:13Speaker 1: will be everywhere the following weekend three thirty one March
- 6:17Speaker 1: thirty first, So UM, please put in your calendar, les Go.
- 6:24Speaker 1: This is like one of the things I'm most proud
- 6:26Speaker 1: of that I've ever made, and and I'm just you know,
- 6:29Speaker 1: we had to pause because, you know, we waited to
- 6:33Speaker 1: come out of the spring because Florence had two big
- 6:36Speaker 1: movies come out, so we wanted to wait and not
- 6:38Speaker 1: have the marketplace be two crowded. And so now it's fine.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You know, which was which was a bomber? Is solely
- 6:45Speaker 1: because I wanted to share this with everyone. I'm so
- 6:47Speaker 1: proud of it. But now that like it's November, like
- 6:50Speaker 1: shit starting to gear up for like promoting March, and
- 6:53Speaker 1: it's exciting and like I literally had to sign off
- 6:56Speaker 1: like on the final this the final poster they sent
- 6:59Speaker 1: me to print, and they're like speak now or never,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and uh and it's it's done. I couldn't find I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: like looking at looking for typos. I'm like looking at everything.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I love it. Anyway, that's the that's the poster and audience.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You're gonna see it very soon. I believe December is
- 7:13Speaker 1: when the trailer and uh and this poster will be
- 7:16Speaker 1: placed underous applause. Daniel, Daniel's not here, so I'll hit
- 7:20Speaker 1: the button for myself. But Daniel Edipos also, I love it.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I love it. I'm very proud of it, very exciting.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I love that you're putting yourself out there like that. Again, man,
- 7:32Speaker 1: that's always, that's always. It's always an adventurous feeling, you know,
- 7:39Speaker 1: to be I guess trepidacious right when you're out to discus,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So like when you have
- 7:45Speaker 1: that in your when you have that in you and
- 7:48Speaker 1: you and you're not afraid to say, well, here I
- 7:51Speaker 1: am and this is me. Yeah, you know what I mean,
- 7:54Speaker 1: take it, take it or leave it. This is what
- 7:56Speaker 1: came out of me. This is me. And I really
- 7:58Speaker 1: feel very very proud of it. I know, I can't.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever told you that story.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Did I tell you that story about bonne Vera saying
- 8:07Speaker 1: to me, um justin Vernon saying to me, Um, that's
- 8:10Speaker 1: the song that came out of me for which I
- 8:12Speaker 1: was here. Did I tell that story? No? I don't
- 8:14Speaker 1: think so, audience. I'm sorry if I'm repeating it, so
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'll tell it quickly. But you know, he wrote a
- 8:19Speaker 1: song for which I was here, and and it was
- 8:22Speaker 1: incredible and I was so honored and um, and he
- 8:25Speaker 1: as genius as the song was, and I love the song,
- 8:27Speaker 1: it wasn't quite right for the for the moment that
- 8:30Speaker 1: I had placed the attempt song. And so I had
- 8:33Speaker 1: the audacity slash balls to be like, hey man, I
- 8:36Speaker 1: love it, it's incredible, Um, could you tweak it here? Here?
- 8:40Speaker 1: Here's why, because you know it doesn't work quite in
- 8:42Speaker 1: that moment. And here's why. And he was like, Zach,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I sat down and I watched your movie and I
- 8:47Speaker 1: was really moved by it. And I got up and like,
- 8:49Speaker 1: that's what came out of me, and like that's that's
- 8:52Speaker 1: what I That's what I have to offer because that's
- 8:54Speaker 1: that's what came out of me. So I think about
- 8:57Speaker 1: that a lot when I'm putting my own stuff out there.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm sure this is you know, something you can relate
- 9:02Speaker 1: to for putting your animation out there. It's like, hopefully
- 9:05Speaker 1: people love it. Maybe some people won't. But it's me,
- 9:08Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's what I have to say. It's
- 9:09Speaker 1: what came out of me and and uh and and
- 9:12Speaker 1: it's so pure in that it's me and um and
- 9:15Speaker 1: of course the genius work of of Florence Pugh and
- 9:19Speaker 1: Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon and so many others. Um.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So I'm really I'm really proud of it. I think
- 9:23Speaker 1: it's something special. I hope it. Doll Phason, Yeah, we're
- 9:29Speaker 1: upset about that. Well, we're gonna we have big plans.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Speaking of which, I think our ads are already running,
- 9:34Speaker 1: because my agents sent me a picture and I said, oh,
- 9:36Speaker 1: is that an early uh cut you saw? And he goes, no,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that's on TV. What They're already out there, bro, No
- 9:44Speaker 1: are new T Mobile spots certainly by the time I, yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 1: we got some. Um, we had some new T Mobile
- 9:51Speaker 1: spots you guys that I think we are pretty funny.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And there's three new ones and um, I'm very excited.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I didn't think they'd be airing this quickly. I thought
- 9:59Speaker 1: it was const for the holidays, just in time for
- 10:01Speaker 1: the holidays. Had a lot of fun making these. We
- 10:05Speaker 1: cracked up like the old days. We laughed hard. And
- 10:09Speaker 1: a shout out to Brian Klugman, who's um, who's who's
- 10:13Speaker 1: been on the podcast. Remember he wrote that children's book
- 10:16Speaker 1: and he's sort of the don draper of this for
- 10:18Speaker 1: T Mobile, and he's just such a fan of ours
- 10:21Speaker 1: and such a supporter. Him and Eric Piney, Him and
- 10:24Speaker 1: Eric Piney and um and they and so and so
- 10:28Speaker 1: it was just kind of like Brian was kind of
- 10:30Speaker 1: like the Bill Lawrence character in the situation. And Donald
- 10:33Speaker 1: and I are just doing these ads and riffing and
- 10:35Speaker 1: he's adding more jokes and it's just like so fun.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I love I'll just reminded me the old days, dude.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I love laughing with you and being silly with you,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and and we get to do that. But hopefully we
- 10:47Speaker 1: get to do this again. And I'm not just talking
- 10:49Speaker 1: about the T mobile ads. Like you know, Joel said
- 10:53Speaker 1: that the emails came in or the was it emails
- 10:57Speaker 1: or was it a voicemails? We had asked for voicemails. Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: the voicemails came in like gangbusters. I truthfully, I want
- 11:06Speaker 1: to hear each and every pitch. But I guess there's
- 11:08Speaker 1: way too many for that time. Will Jilbell will narrow
- 11:11Speaker 1: it down. But I just want to say, it's so
- 11:12Speaker 1: fun laughing with you, dude, and and making those spots.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And I hope the audience when you see them, there's
- 11:17Speaker 1: three new ones, they'll be they'll be rolling out and uh,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I don't know. Um, I guess they're already on the air,
- 11:22Speaker 1: which is surprising because we just shot them. But they're funny.
- 11:25Speaker 1: We just shot by girls stories about show. We made
- 11:34Speaker 1: about a bunch of dots, and nurses said stories. So
- 11:44Speaker 1: get around here, yatoo around here? All right? So this
- 11:54Speaker 1: was a this was a great episode. Really you liked it? No,
- 11:57Speaker 1: you didn't like it. I mean I giggled, But it's
- 11:59Speaker 1: not I think it's a beast side. I loved that
- 12:02Speaker 1: it was a B side. I love that there was
- 12:04Speaker 1: nothing really it was just nothing really that meaningful. Yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you know it just you know, it's it's the content.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I love that. I love the theme of it. You know,
- 12:13Speaker 1: everybody's a hypocrite. The hypocrisy in a hospital is ridiculous,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like, how are you going
- 12:19Speaker 1: to tell me to take care of myself and you're
- 12:21Speaker 1: not taking care of yourself. And that's what we always do.
- 12:23Speaker 1: That's what the I do it with my kids all
- 12:25Speaker 1: the time, you know what I mean. So some you know,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I tell my kids you can't play video games, and
- 12:31Speaker 1: then I'm on the video game for fucking five hours
- 12:34Speaker 1: in a day when they're in school and shit like that,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you know, and I'm upset that they're playing for over
- 12:38Speaker 1: a half an hour. You know. It's it's you're trying
- 12:41Speaker 1: to save them from there they're in young minds. I fail.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It's but I fail it so you fail. It's so
- 12:46Speaker 1: much at so many things that sometimes just having a win,
- 12:50Speaker 1: even if you're not abiding by your own rules, just
- 12:53Speaker 1: that win is enough, you know. Um. And and that
- 12:57Speaker 1: really is what it that seems like what it's what's
- 12:59Speaker 1: going on in this episode is about that. Yeah, it's
- 13:01Speaker 1: of course it's about hypocrisy and um it's also about
- 13:05Speaker 1: growing up. Um. JD finally gets told by a lot
- 13:08Speaker 1: of people that he needs to grow up, which is true.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I mean, he does the most ludicrous thing that just
- 13:13Speaker 1: trying to bash the car windscreen windshield of the brand
- 13:18Speaker 1: new car that his brothers bought him. I didn't understand
- 13:21Speaker 1: that at all. It was so it was so disrespectful
- 13:25Speaker 1: to Dan. I mean, even if he thought Dan, you know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: my first instinct was Dan is shady, like to Dan
- 13:32Speaker 1: steal this car now, like Dan doesn't tell the truth,
- 13:35Speaker 1: you know, And I remembered this episode and then but okay,
- 13:38Speaker 1: so then we eventually learned that no, Dan really has
- 13:40Speaker 1: turned his life around, and he's got some money and
- 13:42Speaker 1: he's buying JD a car because j D. JD can't
- 13:44Speaker 1: go visit his son forty miles away, forty minutes away
- 13:47Speaker 1: to go m that's not going to be convenient. He
- 13:50Speaker 1: can't do that on a scooter, which he mentions is
- 13:51Speaker 1: the only thing he has. And Dan gets mum, what
- 13:54Speaker 1: appears to be a prious I think, and JD's first
- 13:58Speaker 1: instinct is to smash or attempt to smash the windshield.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I thought that was so I mean, just from an
- 14:03Speaker 1: outside perspective of I know it's a comedy, but like
- 14:06Speaker 1: what a dick. Yeah, he can't take it jealousy, it's
- 14:08Speaker 1: a bit. And then he says he literally says, I'm
- 14:12Speaker 1: supposed to be You're supposed to be the loser, not me.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I mean that is so fucking obnoxious. All right, we're
- 14:19Speaker 1: jumping so far. So I no, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I won't come to it. I just I'm just saying
- 14:23Speaker 1: in the overall tone of the episode, I don't know.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I just thought this. This episode, They're all great, by
- 14:28Speaker 1: the way, was written by the very funny Debb before
- 14:30Speaker 1: him and directed by the man himself, Bill Lawrence and
- 14:33Speaker 1: a little trivia. This was a green episode during NBC's
- 14:37Speaker 1: Go Green Week, so I guess NBC at the time
- 14:40Speaker 1: had had an initiative to push people to go green,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and they I imagine they said to Bill, can you
- 14:45Speaker 1: please work something into the episode related to going green
- 14:48Speaker 1: for the environment. And that's why the whole Jender storyline
- 14:51Speaker 1: is about recycling and stuff like that. Well, we start
- 14:54Speaker 1: off the show. Jad's having a moment, you know, about
- 14:59Speaker 1: being about being your dad, and he's kind of geeked
- 15:03Speaker 1: about it, kind of nervous about it and takes the
- 15:07Speaker 1: wind out of his sales. And then we go into
- 15:10Speaker 1: the hospital and now for me, a scale is triggering.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I have issues with scales because you know, it's not
- 15:23Speaker 1: supposed to be how much you weigh. It's supposed to
- 15:26Speaker 1: be how you look and feel. That's how you determine
- 15:30Speaker 1: your happiness. Not a number right right, But in the
- 15:34Speaker 1: scheme of things for the for the episode, they put
- 15:38Speaker 1: a scale in the hospital for some reason. In hospital
- 15:41Speaker 1: they got some new fancy scale. Yeah, but they put
- 15:44Speaker 1: it right in the middle of the of the of
- 15:46Speaker 1: the fucking er. I see it and all the women
- 15:51Speaker 1: are freaking out because the scales in town. They're all
- 15:54Speaker 1: staring at it. Carl it right away is like I
- 15:58Speaker 1: could I could use five or six pounds, like right away,
- 16:01Speaker 1: That's the first thing she goes to because the scale
- 16:03Speaker 1: is in the room, and that's always what it is
- 16:05Speaker 1: like for me. I could have a six pack and
- 16:10Speaker 1: look great, but if the scale doesn't match the number
- 16:14Speaker 1: that I want to be, then there's something wrong. But
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you're training, though, it's funny because you know, the
- 16:19Speaker 1: weight doesn't really change that much. So if you're losing
- 16:21Speaker 1: body fat and gaining muscle, you know your weight is
- 16:24Speaker 1: gonna but you're also going to drop. You're also dropping
- 16:27Speaker 1: water weight too, so the more water you drink, the
- 16:29Speaker 1: more water It depends what your goal is. If you're
- 16:31Speaker 1: just trying to lose, if you're if you if you're
- 16:32Speaker 1: trying to lose fat, then you're gonna obviously your number
- 16:36Speaker 1: is gonna go down if you're doing it right. But
- 16:38Speaker 1: I find that when I'm trying to cut fat but
- 16:40Speaker 1: gain muscle, my weight doesn't. It doesn't go down at all.
- 16:45Speaker 1: All that happens is your waist gets smaller and the
- 16:48Speaker 1: muscles look bigger and the fat starts. By the way,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I had a really great moment that happened to me.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I have to do a humble brag. I saw the
- 16:54Speaker 1: directors from my new movie with Vanessa Hudgins, and I
- 16:57Speaker 1: really got in good shape for it because even even
- 17:00Speaker 1: though my character necessarily wasn't like supposed to be ripped
- 17:03Speaker 1: by any stretched imagination, Um, I was gonna be shirtless
- 17:06Speaker 1: a few times. And I'm like, I'm not gonna not
- 17:08Speaker 1: look good. Yeah, you don't want you didn't want the bagel,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and and the directors were like, dude, it makes we
- 17:13Speaker 1: finally got to the first shirtless. They're cutting it like
- 17:15Speaker 1: we get to the first shirt liste. It makes no
- 17:17Speaker 1: sense that your characters that ripped like he's he's a
- 17:21Speaker 1: middle school teacher in Brooklyn, like with you know, I'm like, well,
- 17:25Speaker 1: he could be a guy who trains, why not, Like yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: but he's sort of you know, he's a little bit dorky.
- 17:30Speaker 1: He's a little bit like there's even a joke about
- 17:32Speaker 1: you to come back and do reshoots. No, no, no,
- 17:34Speaker 1: they're just saying, they're just saying. I was like, I
- 17:36Speaker 1: was like, well, don't cut around it, bro I put
- 17:38Speaker 1: a lot of work in. No, there's no way to
- 17:40Speaker 1: cut around it. You're ripped. And I was like, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: can't tell if you're upset or but I don't really care,
- 17:46Speaker 1: thank you. Um, but I'm not you know, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 1: I'm not going to be in a movie with Vanessa
- 17:54Speaker 1: Hudgins and this and this woman, Evelyn Brochhoe's a beautiful
- 17:57Speaker 1: French actress, French kitty actress, Like I'm gonna look my best.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, guys, I'm not like, I'm not like Colin
- 18:04Speaker 1: Farrell and I'm gonna gain you know, these guys, you
- 18:07Speaker 1: gain fifty pounds to be more in character. And that's
- 18:10Speaker 1: not what's his name, Batman, Christian Christian Belle. He's the
- 18:14Speaker 1: ultimate guy who does that. That dude gets skinny fat
- 18:19Speaker 1: and Jason Siegel never cares. He's like, shirt off okay, great.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Jason Segel's like, you want to see my dick here?
- 18:26Speaker 1: Oh God him and Adam Adam divine both of them, Like,
- 18:31Speaker 1: here's my car. I don't want to show my car
- 18:37Speaker 1: in anything. I mean, would I guess I would if
- 18:40Speaker 1: it was the right thing. Would you? Yeah, I mean
- 18:43Speaker 1: I would, But I wouldn't, like, just let it standle there.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'd get it going on all right. When I was
- 18:47Speaker 1: younger and came out, when OZ came out, and as
- 18:51Speaker 1: an actor powerful or TV show, would you be on OZ?
- 18:58Speaker 1: And the whole thing was all always as long as
- 19:01Speaker 1: I don't have to show my dick, Because there were
- 19:03Speaker 1: some people who had no business show and dick on
- 19:06Speaker 1: that show even though it's even though it's from work.
- 19:09Speaker 1: It became a novelty if you want to see some
- 19:12Speaker 1: dick turn on OZ, right, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And some people would show their dick and would have
- 19:17Speaker 1: like tiny dick. Well, and it would be like, you
- 19:20Speaker 1: shouldn't have showed your dick because now everybody's gonna talk
- 19:23Speaker 1: about how tiny look. You can act like it's not
- 19:26Speaker 1: a big deal. Let's I don't care who you are
- 19:27Speaker 1: out there. You can act like it's not a big deal.
- 19:30Speaker 1: But when you look at yourself and you look down
- 19:32Speaker 1: at yourself, everybody's always like I wish I could be
- 19:34Speaker 1: bigger everybody, even the biggest person on the planet. All right,
- 19:38Speaker 1: am I going too far? Yeah? I went to see
- 19:41Speaker 1: the play I wanted to say, play in Broadway called
- 19:44Speaker 1: on Broadway called Take Me Out Where, which has lots
- 19:46Speaker 1: of You have to be okay with penises. Um seeing
- 19:52Speaker 1: this because there's just PENI there's seats. I got a
- 19:55Speaker 1: good seat, a great angle on all the penises. And
- 19:58Speaker 1: you know, it takes place the most part in the
- 20:00Speaker 1: locker room and in a shower room, and there's just
- 20:02Speaker 1: penises everywhere. It's the most penises I remember seeing penis. Yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: you see Jesse Williams. In fact, what happened was someone
- 20:10Speaker 1: snuck a camera and now they now they do the
- 20:13Speaker 1: pouch thing where you have to lock it in the
- 20:14Speaker 1: pouch and like like the stand up comedians do these days,
- 20:17Speaker 1: and you can't take your phone out until you leave
- 20:19Speaker 1: the theater, which is smart because what some fucking asshole
- 20:22Speaker 1: is taking pictures. But what's funny is they have two
- 20:25Speaker 1: security guards. I haven't told this story, right, No, we
- 20:31Speaker 1: be two episodes, but no, I know, but I don't remember.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't remember what I sold. So there's
- 20:35Speaker 1: two security guards, right, and they're sitting at the front um,
- 20:39Speaker 1: you know, stage right and stage left of the of
- 20:41Speaker 1: the theater. And they're there to obviously make sure no
- 20:45Speaker 1: crazy people jump on stage and just grab Jesse Williams
- 20:48Speaker 1: penis or anybody's penis. Just hold on to it. But
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm not letting go. Yeah, some crazy person just jumps
- 20:56Speaker 1: up and holds on for dear great would you feel
- 20:58Speaker 1: if somebody could just jump up and grab your penis
- 21:00Speaker 1: with I don't think anyone. I'd be like, holy shit,
- 21:04Speaker 1: that's a lot of penis. What happens. What happens is
- 21:10Speaker 1: a funny thing though, right, because you're in the audience
- 21:13Speaker 1: and these two guards. When you start to realize, if
- 21:17Speaker 1: you're an intelligent person, that when the guards stand up,
- 21:21Speaker 1: because at a certain point they they're they're all they're seated, right,
- 21:24Speaker 1: But when they stand up and start scanning, comes, oh,
- 21:28Speaker 1: there's about the penises they're about to come out because
- 21:32Speaker 1: because their job when the penises are out is to
- 21:35Speaker 1: scan the audience for anywhere, right, And it kind of
- 21:39Speaker 1: It kind of tips the show because you're like, oh,
- 21:41Speaker 1: this cock's coming out. They're standing and then the second
- 21:48Speaker 1: that the cocks go away, these big you know, bodyguards,
- 21:51Speaker 1: they slowly sit down, like all right, all right, everybody,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I got thirty minutes to like, I'll look for people
- 21:57Speaker 1: trying to photograph cocks again. It's actually an amazingly acted drama.
- 22:01Speaker 1: And there's of course humor in it. Um. Jesse Tyler
- 22:03Speaker 1: Ferguson and he's sort of the comic relief. And but
- 22:07Speaker 1: it's not a musical. It's not a musical. It's a drama.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It takes place. Um, it's about an openly gay baseball
- 22:15Speaker 1: player and how um and how other teammates react and um,
- 22:21Speaker 1: incredible acting and Jesse Williams is an incredible actor, Um,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I have to say. And it's seen among Gray's anatomy.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I had never really seen him because I never seen it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: He couldn't be a nicer guy. We hung out at
- 22:33Speaker 1: the Tony's and he's the sweetheart of a person. Any
- 22:36Speaker 1: basketball pretty well too. And he's got the most amazing eyes. Yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 1: anytime any time my brother got green eyes, all of
- 22:44Speaker 1: a sudden, everybody started acting crazy. Terrence Howard. God, look
- 22:48Speaker 1: at him. Eye. Man Jesse is very very handsome, and
- 22:55Speaker 1: I have seen his penis. So but anyway, it's actually playing.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So go suit, kick me out if you don't be
- 23:03Speaker 1: afraid of the penises. Okay, but I'm gonna give you
- 23:06Speaker 1: a little spoiler. Um. When those guards stand up, cocks
- 23:09Speaker 1: are about to fly, so get fly. They don't fly,
- 23:14Speaker 1: They jiggle. They bounced. They walk. If you if you're
- 23:18Speaker 1: cocks out and you're walking, okay, So it's it's not
- 23:21Speaker 1: they're not bouncing it. It's not performance. No, they're not
- 23:24Speaker 1: taking it and bouncing it. I was hoping, I was.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. I understand this is a serious
- 23:30Speaker 1: subject matter, but I was hoping that it was a
- 23:32Speaker 1: musical naked man dancing, which is do you remember in
- 23:36Speaker 1: Top Secret when they go to the ballet and the
- 23:39Speaker 1: and the female dancers are jumping from cock to cock. Yes,
- 23:47Speaker 1: that was the stupid No, it's not like that. It's
- 23:49Speaker 1: not like that. All right, anyway, go see Take Me Out.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Go see Take Me Out, because by all but in
- 23:54Speaker 1: all seriousness, um, get over the penises and watch some
- 23:58Speaker 1: some great acting. Um, let's break back the legendary Donald
- 24:08Speaker 1: don't even act like you know. Ted is all of
- 24:21Speaker 1: a sudden about climate change. He saw him Convenient Truth. Yes,
- 24:24Speaker 1: Inconvenient Truth has fucked Ted up, and he is really
- 24:28Speaker 1: upset and he and he confronts the janitor about why
- 24:33Speaker 1: his van is on. Now this is what got me.
- 24:36Speaker 1: That was years ago. This is over ten years ago
- 24:39Speaker 1: that we were talking about climate change and everything like
- 24:42Speaker 1: that in al Gore. Yeah, we are now witnessing some
- 24:48Speaker 1: of the things he was talking about, of course, and
- 24:49Speaker 1: it's all happening way sooner than even al Gore's movie
- 24:52Speaker 1: he said it was happening. Yeah, it's a great time
- 24:55Speaker 1: to buy a house at sea level. No, it isn't
- 24:59Speaker 1: like if you live in an apartment building in New
- 25:02Speaker 1: York City. Just know that you might be looking out
- 25:04Speaker 1: into the ocean one day. Um, I'm trying to put
- 25:09Speaker 1: solar on my house. Um, I just I'm we have solar.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You do have solar. I'm trying to get it. There's
- 25:16Speaker 1: only one there's only one spot where I think it
- 25:18Speaker 1: could work. The guy's coming out to assess if I
- 25:20Speaker 1: get enough sunlight. Because it's expensive. Man, you save money
- 25:24Speaker 1: when you get a rebate because run. But yeah, it's
- 25:27Speaker 1: a lease or you can buy it. Like discourage people.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I'm not discouraging anyone. I'm just saying to transfer over
- 25:34Speaker 1: into electrical and solar energy. It's going to be expensive
- 25:39Speaker 1: for the state of California, but there are California incentives.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And by the way, if you have the right amount
- 25:44Speaker 1: of sun on your land, you can be making so
- 25:47Speaker 1: much electricity that you're actually selling it back to the city.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So look into it if you're if you're if you
- 25:55Speaker 1: can afford it, because yeah, you might have to put
- 25:58Speaker 1: out some upfront cost, but then over x amount of
- 26:01Speaker 1: years you actually could be making money if you have
- 26:03Speaker 1: the enough sunlight on your property. Yeah, it's yeah. The
- 26:07Speaker 1: transfer is the transfers where where they get you. But
- 26:10Speaker 1: in the in the long run, you're actually I saw
- 26:12Speaker 1: this thing. It's so cool, dude. It's super expensive, so
- 26:15Speaker 1: it's not really makes sense for most people. But it's
- 26:18Speaker 1: this giant sunflower looking solar thing. Right. It's the size
- 26:23Speaker 1: of a small tree, but it in the morning, it
- 26:27Speaker 1: unfurls like a sunflower and it spins as the sun moves,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and just the solar panels are like an open flower
- 26:35Speaker 1: and it turns to just go all day long wherever
- 26:38Speaker 1: the sun is. Wow, isn't that cool? It's way cool. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 1: I geeked out on it. And you could power all
- 26:46Speaker 1: of your equipment with solar and get batteries. You can
- 26:49Speaker 1: get batteries and save it anyway. Tom Cavanaugh is bad
- 26:54Speaker 1: his back and he does. He doesn't crazy, He's very elaborate.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Before I realized that Tom Kavanaugh was gonna surprise me,
- 27:02Speaker 1: because I don't remember this episode much, I was like, Wow,
- 27:05Speaker 1: they don't normally just stroll into rooms with dead, bloody
- 27:08Speaker 1: bodies on them on Scrubs, like first of all, the
- 27:11Speaker 1: doors just open. There's no like, there's no like respect
- 27:14Speaker 1: for the deceased, Like you know, this feels like at
- 27:17Speaker 1: a character for Scrubs. And Turk's being so cavalier about it,
- 27:21Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, the guy dad yeah, And and I
- 27:24Speaker 1: just as I before I realized what was happening, I
- 27:27Speaker 1: was like, wow, that's a little out of character for
- 27:29Speaker 1: these for the show. Of course, someone has done amazing prosthetic.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I didn't know they hired a prosthetic artist to do
- 27:38Speaker 1: Dan's back to look so real, like it again split
- 27:41Speaker 1: down the middle, like they hired someone for like ten
- 27:44Speaker 1: grand to do a very elaborate split open prosthetics on
- 27:49Speaker 1: Dan speaking a very elaborate prosthetics. Did you see Heidi kloonefer,
- 27:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, an amazing worm, Like, how do you
- 27:58Speaker 1: party in that thing? She didn't party, and that she
- 28:00Speaker 1: wore that for the red carpet and then took that off.
- 28:04Speaker 1: She gets love in the outfit, and she posted a
- 28:07Speaker 1: hole behind scenes video of her, like when the costume
- 28:11Speaker 1: was just like foam, and so she practiced, like the
- 28:14Speaker 1: laying down part was practiced, and how to get up
- 28:16Speaker 1: and how to move and then eventually, like halfway through
- 28:19Speaker 1: the party, there was a reveal where she takes the
- 28:21Speaker 1: worm part off and she has like a sparkly like
- 28:23Speaker 1: naked looking suit you know I'm talking about, but it
- 28:27Speaker 1: looks like skin but with diamonds all over it. Basically, Well,
- 28:30Speaker 1: she had a lot of pressure too. She always has
- 28:32Speaker 1: a lot of pressure, that woman to bring the best costume.
- 28:35Speaker 1: That's her fault. She shouldn't have killed it so hard
- 28:37Speaker 1: the first time. The first time I forgot. I don't
- 28:40Speaker 1: know her and Cel used to go nuts when they
- 28:42Speaker 1: were married. I remember that. I remember, like their Halloween
- 28:45Speaker 1: party used to be the jam and then they got divorced,
- 28:48Speaker 1: and I thought, oh, well, there goes a Halloween party.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Heidi's like, no, this ship is still going. I don't
- 28:53Speaker 1: need to to keep this thing going. That costume was amazing.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It was out of this world, all right, this world? Alright?
- 29:01Speaker 1: So wait, wait, wait, So Dan does a big zombie
- 29:06Speaker 1: hug that scares the shit out of me. There's people watching,
- 29:09Speaker 1: people gathered. You've you've helped him do this scary prank
- 29:14Speaker 1: on me. And then you're walking in the hallway and
- 29:17Speaker 1: I jump out and go, I'm a monster because I'm
- 29:22Speaker 1: trying to scare him. Right, you know what I had
- 29:26Speaker 1: an idea for when watching I remember riffing that we
- 29:28Speaker 1: did like ten versions of what I would say and
- 29:31Speaker 1: and I'm a monster one. I think I came up
- 29:33Speaker 1: because I'm a monster. I had a great idea. And
- 29:37Speaker 1: you guys, since we're in we have a pitching point
- 29:40Speaker 1: at the end of this. But the Young Dan and
- 29:43Speaker 1: j D show would be a lot of fun instead
- 29:45Speaker 1: of like, you know, like Young Sheldon. What if it
- 29:47Speaker 1: was young Dan and j D and their dad, you
- 29:51Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, but you know, that would
- 29:55Speaker 1: be a pretty interesting show. In what about No No
- 29:58Speaker 1: one wants to see anything without young Turk and we
- 30:00Speaker 1: didn't meet till college. Yeah, but that's that's about Turkey JD.
- 30:03Speaker 1: The college years, Oh my god, they made I don't
- 30:07Speaker 1: know if that works. I don't know if that works. Yeah,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you did have a high top fade, that's that's for sure.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Every day. And there were no water balloons. There were
- 30:17Speaker 1: no you're gonna be funny if we got like those
- 30:20Speaker 1: daging dots on us and we played us and then
- 30:27Speaker 1: I do then I didn't really like our idea like
- 30:29Speaker 1: South Park, Kenny, where we just the audience we're gonna
- 30:32Speaker 1: diet Wars every episode. You think like they're gonna get
- 30:37Speaker 1: out of it. Now they're dead. No, they're dead. Do
- 30:40Speaker 1: you like and Or this week? Yeah? Yeah, Joe Allen
- 30:43Speaker 1: and I were talking about that when you were trying
- 30:45Speaker 1: Were you talking about it when when I wasn't here yet. Listen,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something right now. You're it's weird
- 30:50Speaker 1: to have you as a Star Wars fan all of
- 30:53Speaker 1: a sudden. So we were trying to get the shit
- 30:55Speaker 1: out of the way so you weren't wouldn't be bored. No,
- 30:57Speaker 1: you know, the non and Or shit out of the way.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I don't care about that cartoon Jedi show. You didn't
- 31:02Speaker 1: watch sales in Jedi Let's fire. You know what I'm
- 31:08Speaker 1: gonna say. I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say this.
- 31:10Speaker 1: The tale that the Jedi show is perfect for what
- 31:13Speaker 1: it was for you know what I mean. It tells
- 31:15Speaker 1: a great It tells a beautiful story of cow Cow
- 31:18Speaker 1: Duku becomes a Sith Lord, and it tells a beautiful
- 31:21Speaker 1: story of how Aska you know, what happens after Asoka's
- 31:24Speaker 1: left the Order, and how she was capable of doing it.
- 31:27Speaker 1: For what it is, it's perfect, perfect, It's not Andor.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Andor's a different thing, it's a different beast all together.
- 31:35Speaker 1: But so sales of the Jedi, Zach, I'm telling you
- 31:37Speaker 1: right now. And Or just takes its time and it's
- 31:41Speaker 1: just like that was like dialogue episode in animation. In animation,
- 31:48Speaker 1: one of the best things that you can do as
- 31:50Speaker 1: an animator is to take your time with the with
- 31:53Speaker 1: the with your storytelling, with your movements. You know what
- 31:55Speaker 1: I mean, let everybody experience it. And that's what's happening
- 31:59Speaker 1: with Andor. I'm not gonna lie to at the end
- 32:01Speaker 1: of it. I want to I did want the prison
- 32:03Speaker 1: break to happen, but well, no, that's gonna happen, I'm
- 32:05Speaker 1: sure in the next episode. But they're gearing up. They're
- 32:08Speaker 1: gearing up. They're gearing up for something. But is it
- 32:10Speaker 1: gonna be big? Have you watched Rogue one yet? No?
- 32:13Speaker 1: I don't want any spoilers. There are no spoilers in
- 32:16Speaker 1: Rogue one. Rogue one, No, no, maybe not. Maybe he died, maybe,
- 32:27Speaker 1: but everybody dies in that ship. All right, all right,
- 32:32Speaker 1: back to the television show Scrubs. I wanted to just
- 32:34Speaker 1: point out a little something special though. At four forty four,
- 32:38Speaker 1: four minutes and forty four seconds and where you usually
- 32:40Speaker 1: see Beard Fasse in the pharmacy, uh, you see Deonte
- 32:44Speaker 1: and Snoop Dogg conversing and it's just a rare little sighting.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I wonder what they were chatting about, But normally you
- 32:52Speaker 1: see Beard Fasse there speaking to other random folks. Probably
- 32:56Speaker 1: that would have appeared at four twenty even better, but
- 33:00Speaker 1: I listen, I've never in all the episodes we've been
- 33:02Speaker 1: rewatching seeing Deonte on the inside of the pharmacy m
- 33:07Speaker 1: conversing with Snoop Doong resident. So I saw some fish
- 33:11Speaker 1: he was going on back. Yeah, there was. There was
- 33:13Speaker 1: definitely something curious happening with those two some different Cox
- 33:18Speaker 1: is hard on his patience, you know, but then he
- 33:23Speaker 1: goes and he does the exact same thing. He you know,
- 33:25Speaker 1: he stresses, just like he told his patient not too.
- 33:28Speaker 1: But when he's pointing out I want to point out
- 33:32Speaker 1: when he's pointing out hypocrisy in the hospital. The first
- 33:37Speaker 1: example is a very tanned doctor telling a woman with
- 33:41Speaker 1: skin carencer you can't go in the sun. And that
- 33:43Speaker 1: was Anna from Sound. Yes, she was on our sound department.
- 33:48Speaker 1: And then when he tells when Kelso is smoking a
- 33:51Speaker 1: pipe telling a guy not to smoke, that was Patrick Bolton,
- 33:55Speaker 1: our set trusher that we always talked about. Yes, so
- 33:59Speaker 1: two little cameos there. Although I feel like Patrick is
- 34:01Speaker 1: a nurse in the show, Yeah he is. Patrick's why now, well,
- 34:06Speaker 1: I mean, I guess that nurse could also have some
- 34:08Speaker 1: some some some smoking lung issues, but he's already been
- 34:14Speaker 1: established as as a as a nurse on the show.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Just FYI if you're going deep with trivia, okay, And
- 34:21Speaker 1: so Elliott hates the hypocrisy in the hospital and she
- 34:23Speaker 1: feels like, look, man, this is some bs, how are
- 34:27Speaker 1: we going to tell our patients to do one thing
- 34:29Speaker 1: and then we're going to behave this way that we're
- 34:31Speaker 1: behaving just like them? Um, And that comes to bite
- 34:36Speaker 1: her and the ass later on, and that storyline goes
- 34:38Speaker 1: on to be something even bigger than it. Then what
- 34:44Speaker 1: Elliott thinks it is, Uh, turns out I don't want
- 34:48Speaker 1: to spoil it, but in a couple of episodes, this
- 34:50Speaker 1: character comes back and she hasn't gained any weight, and
- 34:53Speaker 1: then we dig deeper, right, so Elliott, but you know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: the Elliot's giving her shit about this woman about being
- 35:01Speaker 1: too thin, and then Cox calls about and says, you know,
- 35:05Speaker 1: Cox carries her to the scale and says, you're a
- 35:08Speaker 1: pound over her and pound less than her. Actually, you're
- 35:10Speaker 1: a pound less than her and you're five nine. You
- 35:13Speaker 1: know you're being a hypocrite, but you know there's but
- 35:16Speaker 1: you know, there's ways to be five nine in thin
- 35:19Speaker 1: in a healthy way in five nine, and be health
- 35:22Speaker 1: and thin in an unhealthy way. I mean, just to
- 35:24Speaker 1: play Devil's advocate, right, But but Cox was trying to
- 35:28Speaker 1: make his point that that he believes Elliot's underweight and
- 35:32Speaker 1: unhealthy as well. The Janitor and Ted are now on
- 35:35Speaker 1: an environmental crusade. They're going to save the planet. Yes,
- 35:39Speaker 1: the day Janitor has been forced by Ted to watch
- 35:43Speaker 1: an Inconvenient Truth, and now he's decided that he's an
- 35:46Speaker 1: environmental officer. But but he has a freaking what you
- 35:51Speaker 1: call a girl scout sash covered with with a bunch
- 35:56Speaker 1: of patches, buns, buttons and putman patches. I wonder if
- 36:00Speaker 1: if he made overnight. Yeah, what did scrubs Wicky say
- 36:04Speaker 1: about the patches? I wonder what they've would? You know,
- 36:07Speaker 1: that's a good Easter egg right there. What did the
- 36:09Speaker 1: patches say? I looked, you know, they I took a
- 36:12Speaker 1: gander and they were mostly just you know, standard like
- 36:15Speaker 1: recycle and that kind of let's see what I'll look
- 36:18Speaker 1: right now? What if scrubs Wicky had anything in particular
- 36:20Speaker 1: to say about it? Don't let me down, Trevor, Well,
- 36:23Speaker 1: I I he's the one I checked this earlier. That's
- 36:26Speaker 1: why I got the Green Week thing. Um he's the
- 36:29Speaker 1: one who said that. Um. Trevor and his posse members
- 36:32Speaker 1: of the one he told me about that. But anyway,
- 36:35Speaker 1: we just we found out that Ted has head sweat
- 36:39Speaker 1: and that he sometimes sleeps. Yeah, yeah, he's sometimes No,
- 36:42Speaker 1: he has head sweat. He sometimes sleeps in uh and
- 36:46Speaker 1: uh Kelso's office on his bed and uh. The way
- 36:51Speaker 1: he got caught was he didn't take his head in
- 36:53Speaker 1: print out of the pillow. And so you know, Kelso's
- 36:58Speaker 1: now telling him, you better, you know, I bet to
- 37:00Speaker 1: not catch you in there again. I better not catch it,
- 37:02Speaker 1: and dent like that again. Ted runs off and when
- 37:05Speaker 1: he comes back, he goes, he literally has the pillow
- 37:08Speaker 1: behind his back and he's hiding it and Kelso doesn't notice.
- 37:12Speaker 1: But then when he brings the pillow out, it's got
- 37:14Speaker 1: a big, like a microphone shaped sweat spot, and he goes,
- 37:20Speaker 1: I had to take it because of my head sweat. Yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 1: sweats like that from his head. Yeah, he's a very
- 37:26Speaker 1: nervous man. All right. The only thing I'm getting here
- 37:28Speaker 1: that's new is Dan's entrance mirrors that of Jigsaws in
- 37:32Speaker 1: the first Saw movie. I've never seen a Saw movie.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Oh sure, I see that. And Elliot's patient Robin later
- 37:39Speaker 1: appears in My Full Moon. Okay, we need to talk
- 37:42Speaker 1: about that. Okay, that's when we get to that. All right,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I'm just telling you what's in the trivia section here, Um,
- 37:49Speaker 1: we skipped the part where there's a fantasy and they
- 37:52Speaker 1: force us to get on the scale and and you're you're,
- 37:56Speaker 1: you're it says they. She stamps tubo on your forehead. Yeah,
- 38:00Speaker 1: because I'm two hundred and ten pounds. Yeah, and she
- 38:02Speaker 1: stamps muscles what is it? Muscles? Muscles, muscles wanted on
- 38:06Speaker 1: my looks like it's added in post. Right, It didn't
- 38:10Speaker 1: look it was definitely added, not look very well done.
- 38:13Speaker 1: If they did stamp us, it wasn't clear enough, so
- 38:15Speaker 1: they added in post. Yeah. Yes. So the janitor UH
- 38:21Speaker 1: is trying to put up parking car pool parking spots
- 38:27Speaker 1: reserved for people who carpool to the hospital, and if
- 38:31Speaker 1: you don't do it, you get punished in some way.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So the janitor is like, look, I'm gonna put these
- 38:36Speaker 1: rules in the place in the hospital, and for those
- 38:39Speaker 1: of y'all who can't follow these rules, you will be punishment.
- 38:44Speaker 1: There'll be punishment that I see fit. He's can't withsess
- 38:49Speaker 1: what the correct punishments will be, right. And for Turk,
- 38:54Speaker 1: because Turk parked in a spot that should have been
- 38:58Speaker 1: used for carpooling, he put a hornet's nest in Turk's car.
- 39:05Speaker 1: So on Turk's break, when he gets into its car
- 39:07Speaker 1: to go drive to get lunch, he gets beat up
- 39:09Speaker 1: by a bunch of hornets. You screaming against the window.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Was I think one of the one of the only
- 39:13Speaker 1: times I laughed out loud. That was pretty funny. And
- 39:17Speaker 1: then there's another moment later on where it's not even
- 39:19Speaker 1: reference but you're just walking by spot and wasps okay,
- 39:25Speaker 1: So Dan, we learned he flips houses now and he's
- 39:28Speaker 1: really you know. Of course, the audience is skeptical because
- 39:31Speaker 1: Dan has lied to us before, but apparently he's flipping houses.
- 39:36Speaker 1: He's doing well. He's got enough money to buy JD
- 39:39Speaker 1: a car. He's doing really well, which means really well,
- 39:44Speaker 1: you know, because when you make money, the first thing
- 39:47Speaker 1: you think of isn't usually I'm gonna go buy my
- 39:50Speaker 1: brother a car, Like the first thing you think of
- 39:52Speaker 1: when you make money is I'm gonna buy me some shit.
- 39:55Speaker 1: You know? But why did JD? Are you now? And
- 39:57Speaker 1: what we started talking about we can finally talk about
- 39:59Speaker 1: because we're there in the episode. Why it just felt
- 40:01Speaker 1: I just didn't get JD trying to smash the window
- 40:05Speaker 1: with the with the biggest he's jealous, he's why but
- 40:13Speaker 1: neurotic mess. But he's his brothers. But his brothers also
- 40:17Speaker 1: single and now making a shit ton of money in
- 40:20Speaker 1: a job that he doesn't have to work that hard at,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And he's succeeding. And that's
- 40:25Speaker 1: I mean, that's to anyone. Imagine if you, you know,
- 40:30Speaker 1: imagine if you worked your whole life to become an architect, right,
- 40:34Speaker 1: and you finally get there and you're making decent money,
- 40:37Speaker 1: and your buddy who or your your family member, who's
- 40:41Speaker 1: been a fuck up their whole life, uh, and who
- 40:45Speaker 1: you've had to carry your whole life their whole life,
- 40:48Speaker 1: also all of a sudden lucks out and becomes filthy
- 40:53Speaker 1: rich on some job that they don't really have to
- 40:56Speaker 1: pay attention to the jealousy of I work my whole
- 41:00Speaker 1: life to get here and you fucking just took a
- 41:03Speaker 1: you know, you just farted and the ship worked out
- 41:05Speaker 1: for you. You shot gold and it worked out for you.
- 41:08Speaker 1: The thought of that, why thinking? But why does j
- 41:11Speaker 1: he says the line that really threw me. You're supposed
- 41:13Speaker 1: to be the loser, not me. Why does JD think
- 41:16Speaker 1: that he's loser. He's got agree because he can't afford
- 41:18Speaker 1: to get a car. He can't afford to drive, and
- 41:20Speaker 1: he has a fucking scooter and he's like, this is
- 41:23Speaker 1: gonna work. This. I feel like I can do this.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I might not be able to take the kid out.
- 41:27Speaker 1: He said he couldn't. He said he couldn't. He couldn't.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I can't take Sam on the scooter because his his
- 41:34Speaker 1: his head is not drawing, his neck isn't isn't appropriate
- 41:37Speaker 1: for a helmet. The helmet, but you know what I mean, Like, Okay, yeah,
- 41:43Speaker 1: I see what you're saying. I didn't. I didn't track that, like, oh,
- 41:46Speaker 1: JD can't afford a car because he's technically, you know,
- 41:49Speaker 1: not making a lot of money yet as a doctor,
- 41:51Speaker 1: and he works ten times harder than his brother does.
- 41:54Speaker 1: He stays up hours that are fucking outrageously like he
- 41:58Speaker 1: probably gets in the last seven years, he probably gets
- 42:01Speaker 1: to the average is like maybe three to four hours
- 42:04Speaker 1: of sleep a night. That shit'll kill you, dude, you
- 42:07Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like the stress level point, I mean,
- 42:09Speaker 1: I don't know, but I think at this point in there,
- 42:13Speaker 1: in there, if you're not listening, if you're not working.
- 42:16Speaker 1: If you're not working, if you're not working private practice
- 42:20Speaker 1: and you're working in the hospital, your hours are still
- 42:23Speaker 1: out of control, dude, no matter what. Okay, I'm a
- 42:27Speaker 1: perfect example of it. Okay, all right, um, Now what
- 42:32Speaker 1: do you think about this thing about the game that
- 42:35Speaker 1: the Dan plays the constant questioner that's where he where
- 42:40Speaker 1: he just asks questions. Yeah? I didn't get that either.
- 42:44Speaker 1: No offense to Tom. He's hilarious. I just didn't get
- 42:47Speaker 1: the joke really, the good question part. I think it's
- 42:51Speaker 1: just like an annoying big brother thing. It felt just
- 42:54Speaker 1: from a sibling angle of very like this is the
- 42:57Speaker 1: thing he falls back on when I give him a
- 42:59Speaker 1: cold shoulder, right. I was just like, how well it worked?
- 43:04Speaker 1: Is a bit side? It's a B side episode, don't
- 43:07Speaker 1: I don't know? Man, I kind of like, what do
- 43:09Speaker 1: you mean you're trying to say that this this is like,
- 43:12Speaker 1: come on, when we love them, we love them? This
- 43:14Speaker 1: one is Joel? What do you think I did like
- 43:18Speaker 1: this episode just from like, I don't know. It's a
- 43:23Speaker 1: little bit darker than we can pack. And I would
- 43:26Speaker 1: say the comedy isn't if we're rating this is like
- 43:28Speaker 1: a comedy show I'd be like, these are some interesting choices, right,
- 43:32Speaker 1: you know, way more I agree with you, Joe, Well,
- 43:35Speaker 1: this is way more of a if you say B side,
- 43:39Speaker 1: maybe a deep cut on the track, But I don't
- 43:41Speaker 1: know about a B side, you know what I mean? Well,
- 43:43Speaker 1: doesn't a B side mean like it's on the album,
- 43:47Speaker 1: but it's like not one of the best tracks. Sometimes
- 43:50Speaker 1: sometimes a B side just means lucky, we're gonna throw
- 43:52Speaker 1: some shit out there. Usually sometimes it's not even something
- 43:55Speaker 1: that's on album. We just had a song, we're gonna
- 43:57Speaker 1: put it on there. Wait two, well do you know this?
- 43:59Speaker 1: Or Daniel would have on this? But can you google it?
- 44:01Speaker 1: I think it was from the originally when there were records,
- 44:04Speaker 1: you'd put your you'd put your your your badass singles
- 44:07Speaker 1: on side A, and then you'd put ones that were
- 44:09Speaker 1: a little less. Do you know, do you want to
- 44:11Speaker 1: know where it's backfired? For real? For real? Now you
- 44:15Speaker 1: know Wu Tang is forever, right, It's fat Tang forever? Yeah, right?
- 44:20Speaker 1: But Wu Tang when they first dropped, they put protection
- 44:22Speaker 1: neck out and on the B side they put method. Man,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I don't know what I don't really know what that means.
- 44:29Speaker 1: So Protection Neck is the first single with the whole
- 44:32Speaker 1: wool rapping, I smoke on the mic like smoking Joe Frazier,
- 44:35Speaker 1: the Hell raizor raising Hell with the flavor, terrorizing jams,
- 44:39Speaker 1: like troops in Pakistan, swim swinging through your town, like
- 44:43Speaker 1: your neighborhood. Spot a man, right, and but it's all different,
- 44:47Speaker 1: It's all of them. It's ghost Face, Ray Kwan, Method Man,
- 44:50Speaker 1: you God Uh, the Rizzar, the Jisa ODB like the whole,
- 44:56Speaker 1: the genius, the genius. Everybody's on it, right, U inspect
- 45:01Speaker 1: the deck like everybody's on it. And then on the
- 45:04Speaker 1: B side they put method Man, which was just Method
- 45:08Speaker 1: Man doing m E t h O d Man, which
- 45:11Speaker 1: you think was the biggest single. I'm guessing because of
- 45:14Speaker 1: the tone of your story the M E T h
- 45:17Speaker 1: O D. Yeah, Method Man became a star because they
- 45:19Speaker 1: put him on the B side of that. All right,
- 45:28Speaker 1: chel Was, I write about my interpretation pretty much. B
- 45:31Speaker 1: sides our tracks, which are unusual, rare or secondary deemed
- 45:35Speaker 1: less important than the A side songs, which are intended
- 45:38Speaker 1: to be hits. Yeah, so they're not released. So they
- 45:40Speaker 1: did that with method Man and Method Man song Blew Up.
- 45:42Speaker 1: So much that the B side got a remix like
- 45:45Speaker 1: all types of ship. Oh, I'm sure there's some B sides.
- 45:49Speaker 1: When in this latest Taylor Swift album where she she
- 45:52Speaker 1: did like in a B side on the record, No,
- 45:56Speaker 1: she did. She did one version, it was like the
- 46:00Speaker 1: Midnight version, and then she released a three AM version
- 46:03Speaker 1: which had like nineteen tracks on it. All right, now,
- 46:05Speaker 1: if you're if you're track track nineteen, Taylor is not
- 46:09Speaker 1: going to release you as a single. It's gonna be
- 46:11Speaker 1: a B side. How about this rapper from Amigos getting
- 46:15Speaker 1: shot over a dice game? It's crazy take off. Did
- 46:21Speaker 1: you know their music at all? Um? Yeah? Man? Like yeah, man,
- 46:25Speaker 1: they were there. They're a big group out of the South,
- 46:29Speaker 1: out of it. I know they're popular, and they feature
- 46:31Speaker 1: them on Atlanta a Lot, which is a show I
- 46:33Speaker 1: just love so much. And uh but I just don't
- 46:37Speaker 1: uh apparently was I mean I just saw the headline,
- 46:40Speaker 1: but it was over a dice game or something at
- 46:41Speaker 1: a bowling alley. They think now that it was someone
- 46:45Speaker 1: from they went with a record label, Buddy basically to
- 46:48Speaker 1: celebrate his birthday on Halloween night, and we think that, um,
- 46:53Speaker 1: it might have been someone on their side, like just
- 46:55Speaker 1: firing wild crazy and accidentally hit him. It doesn't seem
- 46:59Speaker 1: like the police came out May Steam and they're like,
- 47:01Speaker 1: we don't think any illegal activity was happening at all.
- 47:04Speaker 1: We don't think Takeoff was involved in anything illegal. We
- 47:06Speaker 1: think it's just an accident, which is much more devastating.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I think, yeah, it's horrible. Yeah, um all right, back
- 47:17Speaker 1: to the show. Yeah, I really very clever. Sorry, go ahead.
- 47:21Speaker 1: The janitor is still afraid of Carla. Everybody's afraid. Everybody's
- 47:26Speaker 1: afraid of Carla. Carl will fuck your shit up. Yeah.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I thought the opera thing was very clever. Is that
- 47:31Speaker 1: what you were about to say? Yeah, very clever. So
- 47:33Speaker 1: we called it the Hedging Noise Symphony where JD asks
- 47:37Speaker 1: everyone if they think he needs to grow up and
- 47:39Speaker 1: everyone's like, uh, well he that was clever. B bum
- 48:00Speaker 1: bam bam ba bam bam bam bam. No you don't
- 48:09Speaker 1: remember that far anyway. So I thought that was very clever. Yes,
- 48:15Speaker 1: very clever, very well done, very well directed. Lawrence going
- 48:19Speaker 1: home and walking. I laughed out louded my scarf from Harry,
- 48:25Speaker 1: So you're wearing a Harry Potter thing, which I didn't
- 48:27Speaker 1: get because I've never seen a Harry Potter thing. What
- 48:30Speaker 1: never seen anything related to Harry Potter never. You might
- 48:33Speaker 1: like that that's a lot of storytelling. It has special effects,
- 48:36Speaker 1: but it's a lot of storytelling, exactly said, No, are
- 48:40Speaker 1: there lightning bolts coming out of fingertips? No? Oh, because
- 48:43Speaker 1: that's where I draw my line if there's lightning bolts
- 48:47Speaker 1: star Wars at all. There's no lightning. There's no lightning
- 48:50Speaker 1: bolts coming out of fingers. My nephew's always trying to
- 48:52Speaker 1: fucking turn me onto sci fi shit. I'm like, is
- 48:55Speaker 1: there are lightning bolts coming out of fingertips? Because I'm
- 48:57Speaker 1: not watching that ship. There are no lightning bolts coming
- 49:00Speaker 1: out of fingertips and Harry Potter. It's literally but you
- 49:04Speaker 1: to start with the Chris Columbus first one and like
- 49:06Speaker 1: that's like a that's like does that still hold up?
- 49:09Speaker 1: It all holds up, buddy, it all holds up. My
- 49:12Speaker 1: kids watch Harry Potter now and they're scared to watch.
- 49:14Speaker 1: They're scared to watch six, seven and eight. It starts.
- 49:17Speaker 1: It gets look as they get older, the stories get
- 49:20Speaker 1: way more. Okay, feel something something, please, Joe, I do
- 49:24Speaker 1: feel like, man, don't leave me on his Islandbama say something.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I do feel like I missed out on this giant
- 49:32Speaker 1: cultural thing. I mean I really do, because there's always
- 49:34Speaker 1: people like I'm a stingingdoor and I'm like, no ideal
- 49:39Speaker 1: is great. It's all great, I would say. I would
- 49:44Speaker 1: say Zach might most be interested in the Alfonso Korean version,
- 49:48Speaker 1: which really embraces practical effects that are very beautiful, uh
- 49:53Speaker 1: and fun to watch. And it's mostly a Christmas movie,
- 49:55Speaker 1: so it's got like a lot of whimsy and charm
- 49:58Speaker 1: and holiday a. You know which. One of my favorite
- 50:01Speaker 1: is the Goblet of Fire. That's the best one, the
- 50:04Speaker 1: best book. Okay, Goblet of Fire is the best one.
- 50:08Speaker 1: That's the one from from us and Batman Vampire Batman. Yeah, yeah, him,
- 50:16Speaker 1: he's up in that one. Robert Pattinson, Robert Pattinson, that's
- 50:19Speaker 1: a good one. When I do, it's the Goblet of Fire. Dude.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It's like, you can't watch nine movies in freaking nine days.
- 50:29Speaker 1: That's even you watching it with your children, which is
- 50:32Speaker 1: I'm not watching with my children, watching them by myself. Well,
- 50:35Speaker 1: you're you're a bad example, because you're you you know what,
- 50:40Speaker 1: here's a crazy thing. I watched Tales of the Jedi
- 50:42Speaker 1: because I thought my kids wouldn't watch that shit, right,
- 50:44Speaker 1: I was like, there's no way, I know Rocko hate
- 50:47Speaker 1: Star Wars. Now Rocco comes down in the morning and
- 50:50Speaker 1: he's watching the ship secretly watching Star Wars again, secretly,
- 50:55Speaker 1: come on, because he doesn't want me to know that
- 50:58Speaker 1: because you like it and it's cool, so he's gotta
- 51:01Speaker 1: probably right, Yeah, he doesn't. He's like, look, man, that's
- 51:05Speaker 1: your thing. And he doesn't like Harry Potter. He thinks
- 51:07Speaker 1: it's cool, but it's like, you know, it's not enough.
- 51:10Speaker 1: What does he like? He likes basketball? Besides that, Like,
- 51:14Speaker 1: what what does he think to watch? He likes watching
- 51:17Speaker 1: things like all right, there was a show called Amphibia
- 51:20Speaker 1: about these three girls that get trapped in this amphibious world.
- 51:26Speaker 1: You like that? He liked? Uh? He liked. Uh what's
- 51:32Speaker 1: the show called with the Freaking Kids? It's from PBS, though, Uh,
- 51:40Speaker 1: what's it called Odd Squad? Sure is that? Uh? He
- 51:45Speaker 1: likes a lot of educational stuff because he's a smart kid.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Are you gonna take him to see Wakanda Forever? I mean, yeah,
- 51:52Speaker 1: why not? Dude? I mean we tried. I tried to
- 51:55Speaker 1: take him with see Thor. He was like, it's all right,
- 51:58Speaker 1: are you gonna go opening weekend? What's the title of
- 52:01Speaker 1: the movie, dwell, all right, are you gonna go? Are
- 52:03Speaker 1: you gonna go opening weekend? Oh yeah, I'm gonna take
- 52:06Speaker 1: him to see where you might want to get your tickets. Now,
- 52:08Speaker 1: I would guess, I don't know what weeks ago. I
- 52:11Speaker 1: don't know, dude. I can listen, man, I'm down on
- 52:16Speaker 1: my fucking phase on. I can get into a movie.
- 52:18Speaker 1: You're gonna call Ryan Coogler, Hey, Ryan out of here being.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Somebody said some dumb shit like that to me, like
- 52:24Speaker 1: how did you get tickets to that? And I looked
- 52:26Speaker 1: at them and for the moment it was like I
- 52:30Speaker 1: could be like I paid the money for it, but motherfucker, like,
- 52:36Speaker 1: it's Puffy you. So I would Puffed into that dude
- 52:38Speaker 1: from the Power movie when he ran into him in
- 52:41Speaker 1: the street like nigga, you know who I am being,
- 52:43Speaker 1: what the fuck is you doing? That shit had me rolling.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. We can cut all this stuff.
- 52:49Speaker 1: So Puff was out in the street dressed up as
- 52:51Speaker 1: the Joker and he was running into people on the boulevard, right,
- 52:56Speaker 1: and he ran into somebody and the person didn't recognize him,
- 52:58Speaker 1: and Puff's trying to be you know, cool about it
- 53:01Speaker 1: and if he's if he's stressed as the joker, it
- 53:05Speaker 1: doesn't matter. This dude's being a little extra about it though,
- 53:08Speaker 1: like get the fuck off me, get away from me,
- 53:10Speaker 1: or you know, you're a clown man, you're a joke.
- 53:14Speaker 1: And finally Puffy drops the act. He goes from being
- 53:18Speaker 1: he goes from being ditty in a fucking outfit, in
- 53:22Speaker 1: a in a joke outfit, to being Puff and fucking
- 53:27Speaker 1: you know, I'm not gonna say nothing, but you know,
- 53:31Speaker 1: Puff ain't no bitch. You know, let's just let's just start.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Let's just go with that. Right. Was a video of
- 53:36Speaker 1: him like yelling at the guy. He all of a
- 53:39Speaker 1: sudden turns into Puff and it's like, yo, don't you
- 53:43Speaker 1: And and then he realizes, oh shit, I went too
- 53:46Speaker 1: far and he's like, hey, budd, you should come to
- 53:49Speaker 1: my party, and he jumps back in the character. But
- 53:51Speaker 1: when you come, you change your vibration all to your vibration. Baby.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Oh wait, here's my question. Did the actor not truly
- 53:59Speaker 1: not recognize he didn't recognize that it was puff and
- 54:03Speaker 1: he thought it was something. He thought it was a
- 54:05Speaker 1: guy fucking with him, So maybe right, But he was
- 54:08Speaker 1: being like, I'm a fucking star, dude, don't fucking grabble me. Yo,
- 54:11Speaker 1: Who the fuck you think? You know what I mean?
- 54:13Speaker 1: He was being one of those cats when you know,
- 54:16Speaker 1: he was feeling himself and didn't realize he was being
- 54:19Speaker 1: he was getting love. I don't know what the lesson
- 54:21Speaker 1: I should learn from this story is, but I feel
- 54:23Speaker 1: like there's a lesson to learn. And this town is
- 54:27Speaker 1: too The thing is, the town is too small. This
- 54:31Speaker 1: town is too small to be an asshole to anybody.
- 54:33Speaker 1: It's way too small. The world is too small to
- 54:37Speaker 1: be an asshole to anyone. Listen, we're getting close to
- 54:42Speaker 1: the end. JD is wearing his infamous soccer What about
- 54:46Speaker 1: him bouncing? Hold on? What about him bouncing Turk's head
- 54:49Speaker 1: like a basketball? Yes, that's funny. Um, I bounce your head.
- 54:53Speaker 1: You paint your head like a basketball, and then I
- 54:56Speaker 1: bounced you. It even has the words that go across
- 54:59Speaker 1: the and then I'm like between the legs and because
- 55:05Speaker 1: one one, how are we going to do that? Yeah?
- 55:07Speaker 1: Let me think we figured it out. You put me
- 55:09Speaker 1: into it so that you could freaking grab my head
- 55:13Speaker 1: and my head and you put me into a knapsack
- 55:16Speaker 1: ones if you recall um, And that was not a fantasy,
- 55:19Speaker 1: not a fantasy. So but I'm wearing that. I still
- 55:23Speaker 1: own that shirt. By the way, it's a classic, a
- 55:25Speaker 1: picture with a that says soccer and has a football
- 55:28Speaker 1: on it. You know what I found sad was that
- 55:30Speaker 1: Ted by everyone he's ever cared about, has been told
- 55:34Speaker 1: he's a disappointment. Yeah. Yeah, Ted doesn't have anyone that
- 55:40Speaker 1: really loves him until he meets a ladies in future
- 55:46Speaker 1: not to be confused with lady, but he meets a gal.
- 55:49Speaker 1: He meets a gal. Um that means a lot coming
- 55:54Speaker 1: from a guy who painted his head like some kind
- 55:57Speaker 1: of sports ball. Now JD plays basketball, maybe not well,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but he plays basketball. Freaking basketballs what basketball is? So
- 56:10Speaker 1: Turk convinces JD that he needs to go see his son.
- 56:13Speaker 1: He now has the means to go see his son,
- 56:15Speaker 1: He needs to go do it. JD's like, you know what,
- 56:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna take my brother with me, And he takes
- 56:20Speaker 1: his brother and they and they both get to hang
- 56:23Speaker 1: out with Sam. This line at the end of this move.
- 56:25Speaker 1: At the end of this show is the reason is
- 56:28Speaker 1: one of the reasons why this show was so good
- 56:30Speaker 1: for me, because it's two things. One, Dan is reminiscing
- 56:38Speaker 1: about the fact that he misses his dad, and when
- 56:42Speaker 1: he sees his brother's son, it reminds him of his dad.
- 56:48Speaker 1: That's one part. The other part is JD realizes now
- 56:53Speaker 1: that he has something on Dan, something that Dan wants.
- 56:58Speaker 1: And so when he says, I know there's it's not
- 57:01Speaker 1: just I know, like, yeah, you're right, but it's also, yeah,
- 57:05Speaker 1: how about that my kid looks like dad? And and
- 57:09Speaker 1: my success isn't doesn't that he realizes my success isn't
- 57:14Speaker 1: necessarily my job. My success is what I'm is this
- 57:18Speaker 1: journey that I'm going through in life, and you know,
- 57:23Speaker 1: and that's him and that's him right, and that's him
- 57:25Speaker 1: growing up, you know what I mean? Uh? And Dan
- 57:28Speaker 1: has already realized that my success isn't how many you
- 57:32Speaker 1: know what job I have or what you know, that's
- 57:35Speaker 1: not my success. My success is where I end up
- 57:38Speaker 1: in the end, you know what I mean. Yeah, And
- 57:41Speaker 1: a lot of people have a hard time. A lot
- 57:42Speaker 1: of people are like, I want that ship now, I
- 57:44Speaker 1: need it now so I can be successful. The journey
- 57:47Speaker 1: is the most important part. Yeah, and you can. And
- 57:51Speaker 1: showing up in your kid's life and he's he's about
- 57:54Speaker 1: to start this new chapter as a father, right. But
- 57:57Speaker 1: that's but that's what makes successful, that's what makes him,
- 58:02Speaker 1: that's what makes him a great person. So all of
- 58:04Speaker 1: that stuff that he was, you know, Dan, I'm supposed
- 58:06Speaker 1: to be the fucking I'm supposed to be the I'm
- 58:09Speaker 1: not supposed to be the loser you are. He's not
- 58:13Speaker 1: a loser. He's done something that Dan hasn't been able
- 58:16Speaker 1: to do, and he has that over him at the
- 58:18Speaker 1: end of the show. So that's something I took out
- 58:20Speaker 1: of He looks like dad. I know. That's well said.
- 58:23Speaker 1: And of course it made me think of John Ritter.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Although it's ill advised to drive a car with a
- 58:29Speaker 1: half broken out, all I could think about scene. I
- 58:32Speaker 1: was like, it's exactly likely to get some glass in
- 58:35Speaker 1: your eyes or bugs. I would be more worried about
- 58:39Speaker 1: the glass, right, Well, yeah, all right, we're gonna take
- 58:42Speaker 1: a break and when we come back, Joelle has a
- 58:43Speaker 1: very exciting surprise for us that we don't know much about.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But we're very excited. We'll be right back and we're back,
- 58:57Speaker 1: are back, Zach. I love. By the way, I have
- 59:02Speaker 1: to say that you and Wilder it for Halloween. We
- 59:07Speaker 1: didn't talk about this. Yeah, so viral. Oh my god,
- 59:11Speaker 1: you were everywhere with that, with that Wilder and you costume. Yep.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say. My wife called Cobb, Casey Cobb
- 59:20Speaker 1: came through. She knew. She was like, Yo, we're gonna
- 59:23Speaker 1: put her in this outfit. And I was like, oh,
- 59:26Speaker 1: that's cool. She's like, No, that's not where that's not
- 59:28Speaker 1: where it ends. That's just how it starts. You are
- 59:33Speaker 1: then going to put on your you know, the only
- 59:36Speaker 1: thing that I have from the braces don't fit in
- 59:40Speaker 1: my mouth anymore because your teeth adjust and stuff like that.
- 59:44Speaker 1: But that chain is the only thing that I have.
- 59:47Speaker 1: And that's something that I brought into this situation. It
- 59:50Speaker 1: was a chain given to me by this girl, Melissa Boner,
- 59:53Speaker 1: when I was growing up. She wasn't teased at all, no,
- 59:56Speaker 1: not even a little bit, but she gave me a
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: chain with the Superman. Her parents were in jewelry or
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: something like that, and she gave me that, and I
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: just remember thinking, holy cow, and I wore it everywhere
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and uh and uh when I did Clueless, I wore
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: it in the movie. And that's the really the only
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: thing that I still I gave it to my brother
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: for a little bit when he was in his band,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: so he, you know, had a little bit of that magic,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and then he gave it back to me. He was like,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I don't need this anymore. And it's been sitting in
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: like a jewelry box forever. What about the the were
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: those the colors of the costume that Murray wore? No,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: but you wore a can go backwards? Yes, okay, Well, anyway,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the real the real star of the picture is my daughter,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: of course, of course, but that stands. But it did
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: hard By the way, she's going to be a little performer.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You know it. They're calling listen. I gotta tell you.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: She's so adorable and just the sass she had in
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: her face. She is captain of the SS sassy Um.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: What happened? Now? Did Casey ever get into the yellow
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: plaid outfit? No, she never did. She never even tried to.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Did she Did she have one in the house? No,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: she does. Because our listeners were told that there might
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: be some role playing, and I just wondered if anyone
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: if you wanted to follow up. Oh, there were some
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: roles we played some roles. Oh, oh, we played some roles. Oh,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, roles were played. Yeah, but all right, Joel,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: what tell us what's happening now? Yeah? So, okay, you
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: have two options, you guys, let me know what you
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: want to do. We can either listen to people's pitches
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: for what we do after season nine of Scrubs yea,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Or we can listen to their pitches for things. You
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: guys should create TV shows, movies, whatever. We have plenty
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: of both. Oh, let's listen to let's list one of each,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: one of each one? Okay, all right, so pick us
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: your best on what we should do after we run
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: out of episodes. This is how there's so many I'll
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: pay I'll play that long? How long? None of them
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: are longer than two minutes? Okay, all right, could work? Everybody,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Thank you for some minute. Let's hear an example of
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: what you think we should do after we run out
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: of Scrubs episodes. All right, here we go. Why is
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: this not up here? You know what? I'm just going
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: to share my whole desktop. Hi, Joel and Gang and
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I did email for my idea for after season nine.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: By no you get I'm sure you haven't seen it.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: So I have listened to the latest episode and I'm
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: sending your voice notes, and particularly with having the break,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: we'll be coming back with this most recent episode. I think, Well,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: for me personally, what I've enjoyed most about the podcast
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: is just catching up with Zach and Donald and Joe Allen, Danel.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: You know, it was great during COVID that they would
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: mentioned big things happening at the time and it felt
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: relevant to everyone and it would connect everyone, you know,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: mentioning what's going on in the world, things like that,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and just catching up and I love hearing their recommendations
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: for what they're watching, what they're listening to, what they're
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: working on. So maybe just like a fortnightly sorry that's
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: a very English term. Bi monthly, would you say, or
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: a monthly episode even because obviously I know those guys
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: are busy, so that might be bought more feasible to
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: fit with their schedules, so the fans can just listen
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: in and catch up with them and you know, feel
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: a part of that friendship. Because I think that's what
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: a lot of people listening to you every week, we
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: felt like we got to know you and be part
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: of the gang. So yeah, I think it's amazing. And
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you know, you could still have people on guests on
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: every now and then, maybe people you've worked with on
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: other projects, or you know, just still have the Scrubs
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: co stars on just to sort of catch up and
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: hear about projects they're working on. I mean, Sarah Chalk
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: is just always gold um and or maybe and then
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: maybe you can revisit like some of the episodes where
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you couldn't get the you know, the the guest stars,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds, I'm looking at you, Ryan Reynolds. And it's
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: difficult to pick another show as it will always alienate
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: some people that didn't watch it weren't interested in it,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: and I don't think it will have the same impact
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: without hearing like the backstage stuff and the kind of
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: inside gossip. So they are my thoughts. I'm glad you back.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: That was great. I agree with Laura Turnball. First of all,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: how wonderful is that accent? I mean, I know, I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: know I'm I'm biased, but that is just I just
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: love when I hear someone speak with that accent. Laura Turnball,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: that was very well said Donald your thoughts. I agree
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: with her. Maybe that's what we do where we do
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: it twice a month and we just catch up and
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: shoot the ship. Yeah, because I like that, because the
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: thing is, we always are we want, we love doing
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the show, and the show is a nice sort of spine,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: if you will, for us to sort of have a
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: story to tell throughout the hour. But the truth is,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: let's be honest, the four of us could shoot the
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: ship for for an hour, and we could also invite
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: guests on and shoot the ship with them. I think
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: what with Laura Turnbull is very eloquently saying, these people, Yeah,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: they like scrubs, but they also just like hearing us
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: shoot the ship and catch up. And maybe that's not
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: every week, maybe it's every two weeks. But we talked
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: about what we're watching, what we're recommending, we surprise each
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: other with a guest or I don't know. That's definitely
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: an interesting idea that because I think Laura's right and
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: that no matter what show we pick, ay, we're not
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: going to have any behind the scenes anecdotes. We're not
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: gonna We're not I mean, we're not going to be
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: as invested in it because we don't. We don't have
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the insider memories. We don't have. I can't tell it
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: and I can't say, oh my god, that's funny Diante
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and Snoop Dogg at the at the pharmacy window, because
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I don't. We don't know any thing like that. And
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: she's right that you're guaranteed to alienate a certain amount
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: of a percentage of the audience because they're like, I
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: don't give a fuck about X y Z show. I agree.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like that's a that's right.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: But you know what, Laura, that's your opinion. We got
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: so many more to listens. But let's put Laura. Let's
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: put Laura Turnbull. Jowell, you have a whiteboard? Can we
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: put Laura Turnbull on the whiteboard as a potential? Now, Donald,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: do you want to hear one more just to contrast yea,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: or do you want to move on to the ideas
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: for our future collaboration? You know, I think we should
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: do future collaborations. Okay, Okay, so now we're going to
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: hear an idea. But Laura, that was excellent, and thank
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you for submitting that. And um and for saying things
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: like fortnite. This all comes from Matt and Vic. Okay,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Matt and Vic reading us, Zack Donald, Joel Daniel, and
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Daniel's brother in law in the background. My name is
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Matt Johnson. I live up near Seattle. I was listening
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: to the November first podcast today where you all were
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: asking for ideas for movie pitches for Zack and Donald,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: and as I was driving listening to you guys, I thought,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I can't get an idea of a Christmas film out
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: of my head. And then later on the show, you
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: guys came up with it yourselves, and I was like, oh, no,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: maybe I shouldn't do this, but what the hell here
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I am. I'm doing it. And I think Zack and
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Donald should play colleagues in a public school where they
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: are tasked with putting on a Christmas slash holiday performance
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: for your students. It probably works best with high school students,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: but it would be hilarious with elementary school kids. And
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: you both have such different music tastes that that would
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: make for a super cool soundtrack, and you guys really
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: pick cool sound songs anyway, like Zach's soundtracks for films,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Donald's experiences and talent with his own musical abilities, and
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I think that would be a really really cool idea,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: and there's just so much possibility. I'm I'm a middle
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: school English teacher. I'm not saying that I should write
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: the script. I should ask me to write the script,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: but I would do it. I have no experience with screenwriting,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: but it would be really fun and plus it would
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: be really cool to work with you guys. But anyway,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: that's my idea. UM, school school Christmas Holiday concert. Zach
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: and Donald are the teachers and it's thrust upon them
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: and that's their task, and they make it work and
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: it's a fantastic performance. That's all right. UM, really love
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: listening to the show as always. Glad you're back. Glad
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you all enjoyed your hiatus and continue to continued success
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: to you all. Cheers. What a nice guy. What's his name,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Jewel mat Mad? Thank you so much. That was That's
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: just funny as the idea, Yeah, I like the idea
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: of us working in a middle school together or elementary school, well,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: a middle school, a high school or a high school.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I'm putting on a high school musical were we are
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the two teachers who have been assigned to throw the
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Holiday Spectacular, and we're gonna go both to the wall. Yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and we're not We're both were both out. Maybe we
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: were both maybe we were both failed actors. So this
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: is like it's kind of like Guffman, like, we're gonna
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: go all out. That's hilarious. That's good, all right, Joel
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: put that on the board. Mad Thank you very very
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: funny idea. This is fun like our new segment. But
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: how does this work though? And and how does this work?
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: So so I thought perhaps we could keep doing these
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: each week and then we could have our own March
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Madness bracket. Yeah, at the end of people vote hilarious,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: and we could do a March Madness bracket where you know,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: you guys let us know which. But we're still gonna
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: that's not good. We're gonna pick what we respond to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the most. No, I mean, don't tell them that. Then
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: they're not going to vote. Bro Listen, it will it
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: will influence us, right, it will influence us, But we're
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: not going to dedicate a year of our life to
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: something we find mildly interesting or something that they or
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: something that they put us in just to put us in. Like, no,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I'm talking about In that instance, I was talking about
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: what what the podcast would be in terms of creating
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: a show. We're certainly not gonna go out and pitch
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: something to networks that isn't something we find hilarious, even
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: if the audience is like, that's the one. You have
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to do this, right, I love, this must be done.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I really do love. Thank you, guys. And that's a
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: good length. If you submit, Joel, tell people how they
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: submit again, so you can just send us a voice No,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: if you have an iPhone or you know, if you
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: have a Android or something, there's all kinds of recording apps.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Just record yourself. Please keep it under three minutes. We're
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: not going to play it if it's let's say too.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Let's say too because those were two, right, yes, yeah,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: those were two. I think two is a good length.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: All right, two minutes. You can send it to scrubs
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: iHeart at gmail dot com, and you know, if you like,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I will play it here, and you know, eventually maybe
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the audience will We'll get to vote or at least
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: share their thoughts on you or I liked it, and
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: then I think when we narrow it down, eventually we
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: can have these uh, the the people on and and
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: have them elaborate further. Love it. I love this idea.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Why I love this is because we get to get
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: back in touch with our fans. I love it. And
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I love how those two fans were very well spoken
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: and funny and UM and I I'm I'm Joel. Um
