- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:12Speaker 2: radio show, Yeah, I got one. And I got a
- 0:16Speaker 2: message for you today too, something I was thinking about
- 0:19Speaker 2: that might help you along the way. The thing I
- 0:22Speaker 2: appreciate about so many people that I learned from Bishop Jakes,
- 0:27Speaker 2: Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin, Joel Oldstein, I can't
- 0:33Speaker 2: tell you, and many more than that. I mean, you
- 0:36Speaker 2: know I'm naming you know, famous people because I know
- 0:41Speaker 2: you know these names. But my father, who you never met,
- 0:46Speaker 2: was so great in my development as a man. But
- 0:50Speaker 2: my mother, Lord have mercy, my mother. She taught me
- 0:54Speaker 2: about faith. She gave me the things I needed to
- 0:57Speaker 2: know about. What I speak about every day. That basis
- 1:01Speaker 2: was given to me by her. So it's so many
- 1:03Speaker 2: great people. But here's the thing that I've had to learn,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and that is that if God got you through it,
- 1:11Speaker 2: it's done.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Move on.
- 1:14Speaker 2: See, I can't tell you how many people don't really
- 1:17Speaker 2: pay attention to that close enough.
- 1:19Speaker 1: If God got you through it, it's done. Move on.
- 1:26Speaker 2: How many times have we as people allowed God to
- 1:30Speaker 2: get us through something, get us beyond something, get us
- 1:34Speaker 2: over something, get us through something, and then even after
- 1:39Speaker 2: it's completion, we sit there and we dwell on it,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and we dwell on it to the point where it
- 1:46Speaker 2: becomes an anchor around our neck and we can't move on.
- 1:50Speaker 2: We can't move on because we just won't let it go.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's done. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Move on. Stop harboring on the past.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 2:09Speaker 2: on to every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So what everybody makes mistakes, everybody messes up, everybody don't
- 2:21Speaker 2: get it right, everybody struggling with something.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You ain't the only one.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But my God, Man, if God got you through it,
- 2:33Speaker 2: it's done.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Move on. You hanging on to it for it. That's
- 2:37Speaker 1: why He got it, got you through it, so you
- 2:40Speaker 1: can move on from it.
- 2:42Speaker 2: See a lot of things that happened to us that
- 2:45Speaker 2: we think are negative or bad experience. These are lessons
- 2:49Speaker 2: and what not to do. This is a way to
- 2:53Speaker 2: have a now, a bearing on. Look out for it.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The next time you got me once you can't get
- 2:59Speaker 2: me again. I'm telling you, man, if God got you
- 3:04Speaker 2: through it, it's done.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Move on.
- 3:07Speaker 2: You have got to move on. I use this analogy
- 3:10Speaker 2: all the time. I'm gonna add a little bit to it.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Bishop Jakes told me you cannot drive your car looking
- 3:20Speaker 2: in the rear view mirror.
- 3:23Speaker 1: See.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You know what your rearview mirror is actually for in
- 3:25Speaker 2: your car. Your rear view mirror is designed. After I
- 3:31Speaker 2: pass a car and I want to merge into that lane,
- 3:36Speaker 2: or I want to make another move, I look up
- 3:39Speaker 2: in the rear view mirror, and all I use it
- 3:43Speaker 2: for it shows me that I've gotten past it. I've
- 3:47Speaker 2: gotten past the vehicle I was passing, and I got
- 3:50Speaker 2: enough room now clear to make my next move.
- 3:54Speaker 1: That's what I use my rearview mirror for. I use
- 3:57Speaker 1: my rear view mirror.
- 3:58Speaker 2: To just glance up every now and then to see
- 4:01Speaker 2: what's coming up on me. That's all I use it for.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Listen to me real close now. Your rearview mirror on
- 4:09Speaker 2: your car is after you passing something, or you're passing
- 4:13Speaker 2: by something, you can look up in the rear view
- 4:17Speaker 2: mirror and it lets you know you're passed.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It you're beyond it. It's clear. Now it's in the past.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You no longer have to deal with it as the
- 4:27Speaker 2: car that was in front of you blocking your way.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 4:33Speaker 2: you've cleared it. Now if you on a switch lanes
- 4:38Speaker 2: could slide on over, you got room. But that rearview
- 4:41Speaker 2: mirror also lets you see if anything is coming up
- 4:45Speaker 2: on you, and you just need to glance because if
- 4:47Speaker 2: you moving forward and a whole lot can come up
- 4:51Speaker 2: on you, you just glancing every now and then, and it
- 4:54Speaker 2: reminds you that you got through something and you got
- 4:57Speaker 2: beyond something. That's what the realview mirror for. Now, let's
- 5:00Speaker 2: talk about that windshield. Why you think that windshields so
- 5:05Speaker 2: big on your car. That's the biggest window on your car.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You know why the wind shield so big because it's
- 5:15Speaker 2: where you're going. Because even the automobile makers want you
- 5:20Speaker 2: to have a wide view of where you're going so
- 5:24Speaker 2: you can see what's up ahead. They put lights on
- 5:27Speaker 2: the card night so you can have night vision and
- 5:29Speaker 2: see what's up ahead.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But you can uh, oh man, oh see not why
- 5:35Speaker 1: is that? Look?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Think about that now before I move forward with this one.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Think about that windshield, man, why is that wind shield
- 5:42Speaker 2: so big so you can see where you're going. It's
- 5:45Speaker 2: way more important where you're going than where you're being, don't.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You see that.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That's why the rear view mirror is so small, because
- 5:54Speaker 2: it is nowhere near as important as it is as
- 5:57Speaker 2: to where you're going. While you being just allows you
- 6:00Speaker 2: to take a glance so you can make sure you
- 6:02Speaker 2: cleared it, so you can see if it's room enough
- 6:04Speaker 2: for you to make your next move, so you can
- 6:07Speaker 2: know that you've gone through it and go ahead on
- 6:09Speaker 2: about your business. But that windshield, that windshield is for vision.
- 6:14Speaker 2: A man without a dream of vision shall perish. That
- 6:17Speaker 2: windshield is for somebody going somewhere. That windshielding for somebody
- 6:22Speaker 2: out there trying to make another move. I'm gonna go right,
- 6:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna left, I'm gonna get off on this exit.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna take this detail. I'm gonna handle this sign.
- 6:29Speaker 2: There's a new route. There's only so many miles left
- 6:32Speaker 2: to go. That's what the windshield got. Let me tell
- 6:35Speaker 2: you something, man, when you see a mile sign, you're
- 6:37Speaker 2: driving on the freeway, you're on the interstate, and you
- 6:39Speaker 2: Let's say you driving to a particular city and you
- 6:42Speaker 2: see a sign that says that city is thirty eight
- 6:46Speaker 2: or one hundred and thirty eight miles away. That lets
- 6:49Speaker 2: you know where you're going, and you're on the right
- 6:51Speaker 2: path now.
- 6:52Speaker 1: If you keep looking in the rear view mirror, you'll
- 6:55Speaker 1: never know.
- 6:56Speaker 2: How close you are. You'll never know because you're driving
- 7:02Speaker 2: your car looking in the rear view mirror. You all
- 7:03Speaker 2: on the shoulder, you hear them rocks up under your car.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You just scared yourself to death because you know why,
- 7:09Speaker 2: because you keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Get out the rear view mirror. If God got you
- 7:15Speaker 1: through it, it's done. Move on. So what he don't
- 7:18Speaker 1: love you no more?
- 7:20Speaker 2: And man, let's move on. If God got you through it,
- 7:24Speaker 2: it's done.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Move on. God got something for you.
- 7:28Speaker 2: If you get out your rearview mirror and get up
- 7:30Speaker 2: in that wind shield, God's got something for you up ahead.
- 7:34Speaker 2: But you can't see what's up ahead because you in
- 7:37Speaker 2: that rearview mirror. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Let's move on. Come on, y'all, don't let the pass
- 7:44Speaker 2: beat you up. That's the ingredients in the cake. You done,
- 7:47Speaker 2: made that already, that's done.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 7:50Speaker 2: God, look in the windshield, see what God marbably got
- 7:53Speaker 2: something new for you. If you get out the rear
- 7:54Speaker 2: view mirror and look, open up your eyes and see.
- 7:57Speaker 2: All right, let's go today.
- 7:58Speaker 1: He listen Eat Deep Harvey Morning Show
