- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with her radio We're back. Welcome, Well,
- 0:07Speaker 1: most famous past are here in the house. I am awesome.
- 0:14Speaker 1: How are you t Bone? I think I'm gonna call
- 0:16Speaker 1: you t Bone today. So I had to tell you
- 0:20Speaker 1: this story. I was, I like a good thing myself.
- 0:23Speaker 1: So I don't know if you remember the Seinfeld episode
- 0:26Speaker 1: when George Costanzas tries to give himself a nickname and
- 0:28Speaker 1: he he just randomly pulls out T Bone. So I
- 0:32Speaker 1: was reminded of this this weekend. Um I was. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: was traveling this weekend and I flew to d C.
- 0:38Speaker 1: And I went to um, a little town in West Virginia,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and I met this guy. His name was Ralph, and
- 0:44Speaker 1: Ralph seemed like a very nice guy, and I was
- 0:47Speaker 1: my my little team of people. We were jokingly calling
- 0:49Speaker 1: him Rafe, like it was like a French thing, like
- 0:51Speaker 1: we're like, oh, bon Rafe, but his name is Ralph.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And he's like, uh, is that my nickname? You guys
- 0:57Speaker 1: gonna call me Rafe? And I said, yeah, you know,
- 0:59Speaker 1: we're thinking, we're we're trying to work out some good
- 1:01Speaker 1: nicknames for you. I'm thinking Rafe. He goes, wow. I
- 1:04Speaker 1: I tried I tried to give myself a nickname many
- 1:06Speaker 1: years back, and I, uh, he goes, I was just
- 1:08Speaker 1: when my father passed away. I thought, okay, now is
- 1:11Speaker 1: my time to shake up my name. I don't want
- 1:13Speaker 1: to be named Ralph anymore. I go, so, what'd you
- 1:15Speaker 1: go for? He said? I went, and this man is
- 1:17Speaker 1: probably I want to say, mid fifties, you know, maybe
- 1:21Speaker 1: early sixties. He goes, I changed it up to Skitch.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And I go, you changed your name to Skitch. He goes, yeah, yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 1: I sure did. I said, uh, did you change it
- 1:30Speaker 1: on your driver's license? He goes, no, but I did?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Uh you know I was going to He goes, but
- 1:35Speaker 1: I did. Put Yeah, he gave himself a personalized license
- 1:39Speaker 1: plate Sketch And uh, you know, so what he what
- 1:42Speaker 1: are you doing? I don't know, but there's a really weird,
- 1:46Speaker 1: little ironic twist to this. So he's like, as I
- 1:49Speaker 1: started calling him Sketch, I'm like, I love it, man, Sketch.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I like you, Sketch. You're a good guy, Sketch. And
- 1:54Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, he said, my family made so much
- 1:56Speaker 1: fun of me. I couldn't take the mockery. So I
- 1:58Speaker 1: just went back to being called Ralph, and I'm well,
- 2:00Speaker 1: how did you get them to, you know, to know that, hey,
- 2:03Speaker 1: moving forward, I'm skitch? He goes, He goes, you know,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I brought it up at a family family union. I said, hey,
- 2:09Speaker 1: why I got everybody here. I just want to let
- 2:11Speaker 1: you all know I'm I'm done with Ralph. I'd like
- 2:13Speaker 1: to now be move moving forward. Called skitch. I'm like, yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I go, you know what you should have done? I go,
- 2:19Speaker 1: because this would have helped you. I'm like, if I
- 2:21Speaker 1: if you ever watched Seinfeld, He's like, no, I never watched.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Like a man, you should have watched it, because here's
- 2:24Speaker 1: what would have helped you. You you get someone else
- 2:26Speaker 1: to call you that, so like you get like you
- 2:29Speaker 1: pay your cousin twenty bucks to walk up and go,
- 2:31Speaker 1: what's our skitch? Now everyone'll start calling a skin. I'm like,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you tried to go. I tried, and I this is
- 2:36Speaker 1: a Castanza reference, but I'm like I tried nicknaming myself
- 2:38Speaker 1: t Bone once and no one you know, never caught on.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And he's like, well it doesn't make any sense. Your
- 2:42Speaker 1: name is Bob, why would you be T Bone? And
- 2:44Speaker 1: I'm like, Bro, your skitch? I mean, are we really
- 2:48Speaker 1: doing this right now? But instead I go, you know what,
- 2:50Speaker 1: You're right, that's probably why I didn't catch on and
- 2:52Speaker 1: you could be skitch and I'll never I'll just never
- 2:55Speaker 1: be t Bone. I guess I can call you bone together.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah all day. I am happy, so happy to talk
- 3:05Speaker 1: to you today because I have to tell you I
- 3:07Speaker 1: am so I am dragging. I had Max, Max, my
- 3:12Speaker 1: baby boy, graduated from eighth grade last night, and my gosh,
- 3:18Speaker 1: he's going into high school. And we had this sweet
- 3:21Speaker 1: little continuation ceremony continuation for those out there who don't know.
- 3:26Speaker 1: People were like, well, what's continuation, Um, it's just graduation
- 3:29Speaker 1: since it's not high school graduation or college continuation. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: we like kind of partied a little bit, not not
- 3:39Speaker 1: like late into the night, but I you know, it's
- 3:42Speaker 1: kind of an emotional day for this. Oh I could
- 3:46Speaker 1: see that. I mean, I you know me, I mean
- 3:49Speaker 1: I literally you know my kids are at this three
- 3:52Speaker 1: and ten months and my son the other day is
- 3:54Speaker 1: like Mama, and I'm like, oh my god, that's amazing.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I cried everything. So I can only imagine eighth grade graduation.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I'll be uh, I'll be a sad sack of tears.
- 4:01Speaker 1: There's no question my baby. Isn't it crazy? We have
- 4:08Speaker 1: known each other for so long, long before you had children,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and I just think it's bananas that you have an
- 4:16Speaker 1: eighth grader. I mean that's crazy bananas too. I mean,
- 4:20Speaker 1: you know that's four, right, this is the side. But
- 4:28Speaker 1: you have a fifteen year old almost? Yes? When does
- 4:33Speaker 1: he start drivers at and stuff like that? Does that
- 4:35Speaker 1: happen pretty soon? Already did Driver's ed? I know, so
- 4:41Speaker 1: I have to take it. I just um schedule an
- 4:43Speaker 1: appointment for him to get his permit on his birthday,
- 4:46Speaker 1: which is July, same day as Chris Harrison. Yes, obviously
- 4:52Speaker 1: Chris Harrison will not be getting his first license, he's
- 4:54Speaker 1: a little bit older than that. But but Max will
- 4:58Speaker 1: be getting his permit. And at this party we were at,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's a family who owns this like ranched and they
- 5:06Speaker 1: have a barn and they have said you should bring
- 5:08Speaker 1: him by this summer and learn how to drive on
- 5:11Speaker 1: a stick because they have a jeep. We don't have
- 5:14Speaker 1: a manual car. And I'm like, that is such a
- 5:18Speaker 1: life lesson, Like I am totally going to take you
- 5:21Speaker 1: up on that, because I learned how to drive on
- 5:23Speaker 1: a stick? Did you, like, do people do that these days?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Are there even sticks still out there besides jeeps? You know,
- 5:30Speaker 1: honestly I would have to imagine there are, but I
- 5:32Speaker 1: don't know. But I mean, like, I know, my dad,
- 5:34Speaker 1: My dad was really insistent upon my sister and I
- 5:36Speaker 1: both know how to drive stick shifts, so you know,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we both learned how to stick. My first car was
- 5:41Speaker 1: a stick. It was actually a tone brown hatchback Chevette Diesel.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Oh m G. Do people still say that? So before
- 5:50Speaker 1: we started this podcast, we were we were talking to
- 5:55Speaker 1: producers and I said, I said duck because I clearly
- 5:59Speaker 1: was not yet, And Bob was like, I don't think
- 6:04Speaker 1: the kids stay duck. I don't think they say that anymore.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Do they still do? They say? O MG? So I know,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I I feel driven to say oh MG a lot,
- 6:13Speaker 1: so I hope they do. But you know, okay, well,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you know what, We're just going to keep doing it
- 6:18Speaker 1: and we don't care what the kids say. I don't
- 6:21Speaker 1: I die probably all out of school. So my had
- 6:27Speaker 1: this really adorable babysitter. She's, uh what is she a
- 6:32Speaker 1: junior in high school? And uh, she you know, had
- 6:35Speaker 1: babysat for us for man, I mean, I want to
- 6:38Speaker 1: say almost a year and one day she's like, my
- 6:41Speaker 1: mom is a really big fan of your music. I
- 6:43Speaker 1: didn't even know who you were. She said you were
- 6:45Speaker 1: the Bachelor guy and I said, oh, yeah, yeah, you know,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I never it never came up. Obviously, what wasn't like
- 6:50Speaker 1: I was interviewing her to be our babysitter, was like, so,
- 6:52Speaker 1: what shows do you watch? You know? So I um,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and obviously she wouldn't never watched anyway, like it's I'm
- 7:00Speaker 1: grilling them any older episodes of the show. Um, But anyway,
- 7:04Speaker 1: she uh, she said, yes, my mom has your album
- 7:08Speaker 1: and I said really, and she goes yeah, And I
- 7:10Speaker 1: said which one because I put out like two before
- 7:12Speaker 1: The Bachelor and then like one after. And she's like,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure. And I go, well, you know, I
- 7:17Speaker 1: happen to have a garage full of them. Uh, here
- 7:20Speaker 1: take this one, and I hand her a CD. I
- 7:24Speaker 1: go give this to your mom, And what is that?
- 7:26Speaker 1: I think? She literally goes, this is awesome, and she
- 7:29Speaker 1: was looking at it and I could tell I go,
- 7:32Speaker 1: you don't you don't know what that is? D And
- 7:34Speaker 1: she goes, I don't. And so I open it and
- 7:37Speaker 1: I hold out the this is a compact disc and
- 7:40Speaker 1: she goes, m hmm, but no acknowledgment. I go, you go,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you slide it into this little slot thingy in your car.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And she goes, oh, I think I think I have
- 7:49Speaker 1: one of those. Said yeah, I got I go. You
- 7:52Speaker 1: know what, I'm just gonna gonna keep this, don't give
- 7:54Speaker 1: this too. I'm just gonna I'm gonna set this over
- 7:56Speaker 1: here and uh, we're gonna be telling this didn't happen. Okay,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm is gonna go back to my office and sit
- 8:02Speaker 1: by myself for an hour, and I'm going to talk
- 8:08Speaker 1: about how old I feel. Isn't that basically what I
- 8:12Speaker 1: do every week? I feel ancient again? But you know,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I mean, musicians understand this struggle and and thankfully, you know,
- 8:20Speaker 1: we have a guest on the show today who is
- 8:22Speaker 1: a musician and probably way more up to speed on
- 8:25Speaker 1: this kind of stuff than I am, because he's still
- 8:27Speaker 1: out there gigging as far as I can tell, as
- 8:29Speaker 1: far as I know, um he was he was. Okay,
- 8:33Speaker 1: So our our theme today, if I can get into
- 8:36Speaker 1: it for us, just to our theme today is, you
- 8:38Speaker 1: know we always we're always looking for a throwback angle, right, Well,
- 8:41Speaker 1: we've got a lot to throw back to. Obviously, this
- 8:44Speaker 1: is Bachelor Pad season one throwback. So Tenley was on
- 8:48Speaker 1: last week with us. We talked a little bit about that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Shall Money was on last week, we talked about her
- 8:52Speaker 1: time on Bachelor Pad. But this is bache Pad season one,
- 8:55Speaker 1: which Tinley was on, and this guy was on it.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And he was the first kind of uh musician that
- 9:02Speaker 1: showcased his talent as a contestant on the show. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: mean showcase his talent on the show. And he was
- 9:09Speaker 1: the first guy really willing to own I think, being
- 9:13Speaker 1: a villain, Like a lot of guys would come on there,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and you know, like I think before that it was like,
- 9:17Speaker 1: well I'm not here to make friends. That was about
- 9:19Speaker 1: as villainous as you got. This dude was like straight
- 9:22Speaker 1: up villain like not and he owned it. And I
- 9:25Speaker 1: was watching a little bit of Bachelor Pad season one,
- 9:28Speaker 1: which aired. This is back in two thousand and ten, August,
- 9:30Speaker 1: this September that it aired, and I was watching a
- 9:32Speaker 1: little bit of episode one, and I mean, he comes
- 9:35Speaker 1: in guns blazing. I'm here, guys, the villain's back. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: know I'm ready, and uh, I actually I find that
- 9:42Speaker 1: to be really interesting because I don't think I could
- 9:45Speaker 1: ever do it. First of all, I don't think I
- 9:47Speaker 1: could ever do it either, but I do I have
- 9:50Speaker 1: some respect for that, you know, I have respect for
- 9:53Speaker 1: you owning owning that character, I guess, and I I
- 9:59Speaker 1: feel like we met maybe at one of these bachelor reunions. Possibly, um,
- 10:05Speaker 1: you know me and my memory, and I've been called
- 10:10Speaker 1: out by Loboso Umboo the first time. Just kidding, Zobo.
- 10:17Speaker 1: If you're listening to Lozobo, Prince Lezobo, well let's bring
- 10:22Speaker 1: him in. This is not Prince Lzobo. This is Wes
- 10:26Speaker 1: Hayden and West lives in Austin. He's a jam and musician.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He brought his guitar. I remember in the intro Chris
- 10:33Speaker 1: is like, where's your guitar? And West He's like right,
- 10:36Speaker 1: He's like You're sure. He's like, well, maybe I got
- 10:37Speaker 1: it somewhere. I don't think I have it in you know,
- 10:44Speaker 1: they came back. I mean West was a throwback guy
- 10:46Speaker 1: for a while because I remember when years later on
- 10:49Speaker 1: one of the shows when it was j J j
- 10:51Speaker 1: J was on the show and JJ is like, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: a villain's got a ville and I thought that was
- 10:57Speaker 1: j J. Well j J came many years later. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: think it's Bachelor in Paradise where he said that there
- 11:02Speaker 1: was a bachelor pad. But here's last here we go
- 11:05Speaker 1: there he is West. How are you, man? Welcome to
- 11:08Speaker 1: the show. Thanks for having me. Man, how are you.
- 11:12Speaker 1: We're doing well, buddy, we're doing We were just talking
- 11:14Speaker 1: about you as we were introwing you and I said, uh,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I said one of the things I liked about West,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and it made it literally brought me. I don't even
- 11:23Speaker 1: know how to say it, but I'm I'm such a
- 11:25Speaker 1: people pleaser. I have a rough time anybody. You know.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You just owned it. Man, you walked in. You're like,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm a villain. A villain's got a vill I'm here
- 11:32Speaker 1: to do some villing work. Well, I used to drink
- 11:36Speaker 1: a lot. That explains it. I would't know if I
- 11:41Speaker 1: was technically a villain. I was just really loosing, loud
- 11:44Speaker 1: and crazy. Do you drink anymore? It's rare. It's where
- 11:50Speaker 1: I have I haven't had a drinking it's been a
- 11:52Speaker 1: long time, but but every now and again, I will
- 11:55Speaker 1: You know, is that is that do you think that
- 11:57Speaker 1: that was affected by the show. Well, you know, obviously
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm a Texas guy. I'm sure you can tell about
- 12:06Speaker 1: the accident. But we're pretty well, I mean, we're pretty
- 12:10Speaker 1: authentic down here. And yeah, but when I was on
- 12:13Speaker 1: the show, of course I was drinking a lot, so
- 12:16Speaker 1: was everybody else. Everybody else. I honestly trusted a lot
- 12:21Speaker 1: of you know what was what they were wanting me
- 12:24Speaker 1: to do and say, and you know what I'm saying.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So I kind of just went into it, to be
- 12:28Speaker 1: honest with you. I remember telling my mom before the
- 12:31Speaker 1: show aired, I mean, it's gonna so it's gonna sound crazy,
- 12:34Speaker 1: but I said, man, America is gonna love me after
- 12:37Speaker 1: this show. I did so well. And then I saw
- 12:41Speaker 1: it and I was like, oh god, well I don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: think America didn't love you. I mean I think it
- 12:46Speaker 1: was just like I said to Trista, what I thought
- 12:49Speaker 1: was was it was kind of great about it was
- 12:52Speaker 1: you went on to it not you know, it wasn't.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You weren't being deceptive, you weren't being like you were
- 12:58Speaker 1: just like, hey man, I'm this is this isn't why
- 13:00Speaker 1: I'm here, this is why I'm here, And in particularly
- 13:02Speaker 1: with Bachelor Pad, it's like, I'm here to win some money,
- 13:05Speaker 1: and you know, I think everybody else maybe you know,
- 13:08Speaker 1: maybe came in if they were there just to win
- 13:10Speaker 1: the money. They weren't acting like it, right, they were
- 13:13Speaker 1: trying to like they were there for other things, and
- 13:15Speaker 1: You're like, no, no, I'm here for the cash. Cash money. Yeah. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I was here for the cash, but I was also
- 13:19Speaker 1: also there to hook up of need be, so you
- 13:26Speaker 1: know that I had a great time. Bachelor Pad was
- 13:28Speaker 1: a lot more fun than the Bachelorette. Yeah. It was
- 13:33Speaker 1: a little looser and a little more relaxed, and um,
- 13:36Speaker 1: it was my second go around too, so I kind
- 13:38Speaker 1: of knew, yeah the ropes, right right. I think that's
- 13:44Speaker 1: one of the thing. Yeah, agreed. I think the casual
- 13:48Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I've never done Bachelor Pad or Bachelor
- 13:51Speaker 1: in Paradise, but I think that that's why everyone likes
- 13:54Speaker 1: those shows, is because it's more care free, like you're
- 13:59Speaker 1: not as caught up in in worrying about um love,
- 14:04Speaker 1: like love is so heavy and if you're there for
- 14:07Speaker 1: money or you know, like obviously, Bachelor Pad, I think
- 14:12Speaker 1: that it was a lot more fun to watch because
- 14:14Speaker 1: it was more kind of casual. Um, I'd love to
- 14:18Speaker 1: ask you. Obviously we lost ga Um, I don't know
- 14:22Speaker 1: how many years ago. That was um a very very
- 14:25Speaker 1: very sad loss for Bachelor Nation. And I know that
- 14:28Speaker 1: you and her were connected throughout the first season of
- 14:33Speaker 1: Bachelor Pad. Um, how how are things like, do you
- 14:38Speaker 1: think about her? You know, how did things end with her?
- 14:41Speaker 1: And two thirteen, I guess she passed, So that's been
- 14:46Speaker 1: nine years ago. Um, we I watched so Bob and
- 14:49Speaker 1: I in prep watched the first episode of Bachelor Pad
- 14:53Speaker 1: one and so we didn't get into the rest of it,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but can you remind me kind of what transpire between
- 15:00Speaker 1: you two and how things ended after the show and
- 15:03Speaker 1: if you stayed in touch? Sure? Yeah, we we of
- 15:08Speaker 1: course we met on the Bachlord Pad. Obviously knew of
- 15:10Speaker 1: each other before that, so going in I'd kind of
- 15:13Speaker 1: heard a little rumor that she wanted to meet me,
- 15:16Speaker 1: right and then then we ended up doing the Bachelor
- 15:18Speaker 1: Pad together. So yeah, the first time I saw her,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I just thought she was I mean, she's just a sweetheart.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I mean she's warm, she's quiet, you know, she's she's
- 15:30Speaker 1: kind of meek and humble. And but also funny, it
- 15:34Speaker 1: can be fired. So when we met on the show,
- 15:37Speaker 1: it was just kind of an instant. Uh. I mean
- 15:41Speaker 1: I knew when I was there. I was like, Okay,
- 15:43Speaker 1: well I need to see what can happen with her
- 15:46Speaker 1: and I you know, and I think we both kind
- 15:48Speaker 1: of had the same thing. We had a lot in common.
- 15:50Speaker 1: We were both kind of on this the show wouldn't
- 15:53Speaker 1: show it, but kind of on this little spiritual path
- 15:55Speaker 1: if we've been on for a long time. And um,
- 16:01Speaker 1: so we dated for severyone but probably six or eight months,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I would think after the show. After the show, yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I mean we we talked for a long time. And
- 16:14Speaker 1: she was up in New York and I was down
- 16:16Speaker 1: here in Texas. But we would always try to do
- 16:17Speaker 1: events together where we could see each other and hang
- 16:20Speaker 1: out because obviously we both had our own lives and
- 16:22Speaker 1: jobs and things going on. But um, you know, Jia
- 16:27Speaker 1: had a she had a lot of She was a sweetheart,
- 16:30Speaker 1: but she I think she had some things that she
- 16:31Speaker 1: dealt with, um you know, which came out later on,
- 16:37Speaker 1: like maybe a few maybe some depression or something like that.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And uh, but it wasn't anything I thought it was
- 16:44Speaker 1: a huge red flag. So right when I found out
- 16:48Speaker 1: what happened, I was completely just floored and pretty much
- 16:52Speaker 1: in shock. She was just sweet girl and so positive.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And but we inevitably kind of stopped talking to because
- 17:00Speaker 1: it was such a long distance thing. Right, that's hard.
- 17:05Speaker 1: We were still friends, I mean we communicated. We we
- 17:08Speaker 1: were text back and forth here and there and and
- 17:11Speaker 1: and keep up with each other. And it was just
- 17:15Speaker 1: it was really unfortunate. Yeah, I agree, I'm sorry to
- 17:19Speaker 1: bring us down, but I just wanted to. I still
- 17:22Speaker 1: think about her often. I'll see pictures of her on
- 17:25Speaker 1: my feet come in and out, and I've still got
- 17:26Speaker 1: some saved in my phone, and and uh, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 1: it seems like just yesterday, and that funny how tom
- 17:33Speaker 1: is it doesn't seem it is. I could call her
- 17:36Speaker 1: right now and she'd answer, right, I know. Yeah, I
- 17:41Speaker 1: loved seeing her on on my phone as I was
- 17:44Speaker 1: watching just her smile just right in the room. It
- 17:47Speaker 1: seemed like so I couldn't not bring her up. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: I never I never got to meet her, actually, but
- 17:53Speaker 1: she seemed wonderful. Yeah. Are you in Austin, West are
- 18:07Speaker 1: you still? Are you in Austin, Texas? Are you just
- 18:09Speaker 1: outside of there. I have a house in Austin, but
- 18:12Speaker 1: the majority of the work that I do is around
- 18:14Speaker 1: on the outskirts of Houston area called Lake conro So.
- 18:17Speaker 1: During the weeks Monday through Friday, I'm normally down here,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and on the weekends I'm back in Austin. And are
- 18:23Speaker 1: you still playing? Yeah, I am. I am. Actually a
- 18:25Speaker 1: matter of fact, I'm I'm at a studio right now.
- 18:28Speaker 1: It's called Dance Across Texas. It's uh, it's a music channel,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and I'm doing a interview today and I was like, well, hell,
- 18:37Speaker 1: I just knocked these at the same time. That's right.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So we've got a brand new single UM called Back
- 18:45Speaker 1: in Texas. It's on all the platforms. We just released it.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's on the charts here, it's doing well. It's different
- 18:50Speaker 1: now though, you know, I'm I'm forty five years old,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and I'm not trying to be famous. I'm not trying
- 18:54Speaker 1: to be known. If anything, I'm trying to be more
- 18:56Speaker 1: obscure and out of this now is just strictly for fun,
- 19:01Speaker 1: because I enjoyed doing it and the guy enjoyed doing it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So it's not like we're hard pushing it or or anything.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I mean, even though we are on the radio and
- 19:10Speaker 1: and and trucking around, it's just just more you know,
- 19:13Speaker 1: I do it because I enjoy it. Yeah, no doubt.
- 19:20Speaker 1: And I think as we get older, that's what happens,
- 19:22Speaker 1: as you just realized that life is too short and
- 19:25Speaker 1: we need to appreciate what we what we appreciate out
- 19:29Speaker 1: of life and take advantage of the opportunities. Yeah, that's
- 19:31Speaker 1: really cool. That's right. So we're looking back at you know,
- 19:35Speaker 1: first season at Bachelor Pad and your season of a
- 19:37Speaker 1: Bachelor at what is the memory that sticks out to
- 19:40Speaker 1: you as or it doesn't even have to be from
- 19:43Speaker 1: your time on the show, but just from your time
- 19:44Speaker 1: involved with the show. What was one of your favorite
- 19:47Speaker 1: things that happened to you during that time? What was
- 19:48Speaker 1: your one of your favorite memories from that whole thing. Well,
- 19:51Speaker 1: from what I can remember, a lot of it sounds
- 19:54Speaker 1: like me right. Um, I'll tell you what A lot
- 20:00Speaker 1: of people asked me all the time, Well, you know,
- 20:02Speaker 1: do you have uh enemies from that show and this
- 20:05Speaker 1: and that? I was like, man, not not at all.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, great, guys. I was just on
- 20:09Speaker 1: the phone with Tenner Pope a couple of days season.
- 20:13Speaker 1: He was the foot guy, right yeah, right, you know,
- 20:16Speaker 1: and one of the guys that said I had a
- 20:17Speaker 1: girlfriend back home, but me and him were tight on
- 20:20Speaker 1: the show, and we were tied after the show. So
- 20:23Speaker 1: you know, I met a lot of more so than
- 20:25Speaker 1: the memories of it, it's it's relationships because I met
- 20:27Speaker 1: so many great people, and how many people get to
- 20:31Speaker 1: do a show like that, right right? Um? But but
- 20:36Speaker 1: you know, we were most of the memories I have
- 20:39Speaker 1: I probably couldn't talk about. I mean, I get that
- 20:42Speaker 1: i'd get that villain roll again, but but you know, obviously, uh,
- 20:49Speaker 1: it was it was the relationships that I met. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: I mean I still keep in touch with Jillian from
- 20:55Speaker 1: time to time, and we were in touch for a
- 20:57Speaker 1: long time afterwards. I know she's busy now and has
- 20:59Speaker 1: a thing ain't going, but yeah, you know, I I
- 21:04Speaker 1: do remember this. I will give you this one thing.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And it was we were in Spain and I had
- 21:09Speaker 1: just gotten um eliminated and I was, of course we're
- 21:14Speaker 1: driving around doing the Limos scene, right, and this Limo
- 21:18Speaker 1: scene driver around. Let me tell you what, it was
- 21:19Speaker 1: probably hours we they had that they had Oh I
- 21:23Speaker 1: kid you not, they had that limousine full of booze, right,
- 21:27Speaker 1: and if you yeah, if you see me getting in it,
- 21:30Speaker 1: I've got a jacket or like you get on YouTube
- 21:32Speaker 1: and see my exit and speech on it. I don't
- 21:35Speaker 1: have any it on me, right, And I've got like
- 21:37Speaker 1: this leather swede jacket on his pearl snaps. By the
- 21:40Speaker 1: end of the limo, ride my jackets off, my shirts.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Damn the hunt button. I'm poor and sweat and I'm
- 21:46Speaker 1: just drawn your intruder brown. And because they had to
- 21:51Speaker 1: turn off the a C because the a C was
- 21:53Speaker 1: messing with the microphones, I guess maybe. Um, so you know,
- 22:00Speaker 1: I remember Pete was the guy in the in the
- 22:03Speaker 1: in the limo with the producer. The producer. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: he's great, and uh I had to peet real bad
- 22:12Speaker 1: and so yeah, I made the limo pull over, and um,
- 22:19Speaker 1: I just Pete right there on the side of the
- 22:22Speaker 1: road and then got pulled up, pulled up, putting in handcuffs,
- 22:26Speaker 1: took me in the back, almost took me to jail. No.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I was like, man, I'm going to jail in Spain.
- 22:34Speaker 1: How cool is this? Right? How's this for the old
- 22:39Speaker 1: bad boy image? You go? Man, that's perfect? But Pete man.
- 22:43Speaker 1: He he swindled me out of the deal, and you know,
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. I mean my heart was pounding
- 22:48Speaker 1: nine into nothing. I was like, like going to jail
- 22:52Speaker 1: in Mexico. Yeah, I'm sure at least I'll get a
- 22:54Speaker 1: phone call something happen. Oh my god, that is awesome.
- 22:58Speaker 1: That's the kind of stuff you don't see the show.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I love that. Thank you well Man. It was great
- 23:07Speaker 1: having you on wast Thanks for joining us and and
- 23:09Speaker 1: continued success with the music and with the building and
- 23:12Speaker 1: with everything you got going on. And you definitely I
- 23:15Speaker 1: think you you've shaken that bad boy role. You know
- 23:17Speaker 1: you got you got the villain with the heart of gold.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Now well, I think life humbled you eventually, Yeah, because
- 23:24Speaker 1: it was pretty tough afterwards. You know, I had I
- 23:26Speaker 1: had the people that loved me and hated me, and
- 23:28Speaker 1: it was almost kind of an identity thing afterwards. Uh,
- 23:32Speaker 1: they did ask me to do Bachelor Path too, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 1: Allen had phone me and sent me all the packet
- 23:38Speaker 1: and I was like, you know, I just don't know
- 23:40Speaker 1: at this point if I need to do a second one,
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, right right, You know, I kind of had
- 23:44Speaker 1: to work through some stuff. And but but honestly, I
- 23:47Speaker 1: gotta give credit to the show. It was Without that,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I promise you I wouldn't be wearing now. I mean,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I just I learned so much and and and I
- 23:57Speaker 1: saw who was the guy on the team be yeah,
- 24:01Speaker 1: And later I was like, now I don't want to
- 24:02Speaker 1: be that guy, you know, and so so I just
- 24:06Speaker 1: cleaned up and and and but I'm telling you, if
- 24:08Speaker 1: it wasn't for that show, I'd probably there's no telling
- 24:11Speaker 1: where i'd be, you know, because I was. I was.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I liked the party and drink and hang out, and
- 24:15Speaker 1: it was kind of a saving grace. It really was.
- 24:17Speaker 1: As weird as it sounds, it doesn't sound weird at all.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I get it. Yeah perspective, you know, I don't want
- 24:26Speaker 1: to be tendency to do that. I was already famous.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I don't need to be famous, right any of that.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You know. It was so wonderfolcus. It's a dream come true.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And you know, it furthered me along in life and
- 24:38Speaker 1: gave me some humility, which honestly I've never really had
- 24:42Speaker 1: really hearing that. You know what, people ask me next
- 24:46Speaker 1: time if I would let my kids do the show,
- 24:48Speaker 1: because you know, I'm sure you get asked this all
- 24:51Speaker 1: the time too, Bob. But you know, I think my
- 24:54Speaker 1: answer is is normal in that I have a success
- 24:58Speaker 1: story and that I found the love life. We've been
- 25:00Speaker 1: married for almost twenty years, to YadA, YadA, YadA, and
- 25:02Speaker 1: so how could I say no? But I love your
- 25:05Speaker 1: answer that it actually gave you such perspective and what
- 25:10Speaker 1: that's such a great like life experience just for that.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I mean, even if you are cast as the villain,
- 25:17Speaker 1: it can actually turn out as a positive. But you
- 25:21Speaker 1: gotta you gotta be willing to take that look though,
- 25:23Speaker 1: and you were willing to take that look. You know,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you needed the work, So I think that's why it
- 25:26Speaker 1: made a difference. So good for you, man, Yeah, I
- 25:30Speaker 1: appreciate it. God, it's wonderful to see you. I haven't
- 25:32Speaker 1: seen you on forever. Man, it's great to see you.
- 25:34Speaker 1: To man, Well, thanks for coming out West having studio.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Good luckily the interviews later today. We'll see you all later.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I take care of buddy, bye West that when it's ready.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I know, that is such a great answer. I just
- 25:52Speaker 1: and and I don't know if it could come from
- 25:54Speaker 1: you know, a lot of people on the show. I
- 25:57Speaker 1: don't know that people use it to be in respective
- 26:00Speaker 1: and to actually like they just want to complain about
- 26:03Speaker 1: the edit and blame it on the producers. And maybe
- 26:08Speaker 1: he did that in the beginning because people probably weren't
- 26:10Speaker 1: super kind to him, or at least some of them.
- 26:13Speaker 1: But I love that he changed it around and flipped
- 26:15Speaker 1: it like I respect him even more, Like I said,
- 26:19Speaker 1: I respected him for owning it. Now, I think he's
- 26:23Speaker 1: actually one of my favorites. So there you go. I like,
- 26:26Speaker 1: you know, just because of that, I think there's something
- 26:30Speaker 1: to be said for honesty and humility, and um, I
- 26:34Speaker 1: love it. Well, we have another wonderful guest who's coming
- 26:48Speaker 1: on right now from Bachelor Pad season one, who is
- 26:50Speaker 1: a personal friend of mine too, and I think of
- 26:52Speaker 1: yours as well. Christ Um. Absolutely beautiful person inside out,
- 26:57Speaker 1: one of the kindest people, and someone who was on
- 26:59Speaker 1: the first season, which I've actually you know, we've talked
- 27:02Speaker 1: a lot over the years, and one of the things
- 27:03Speaker 1: I've always wanted to ask her, which I never asked before,
- 27:07Speaker 1: which I'm going to ask her today, was um one
- 27:10Speaker 1: of the things I thought stood out to most was
- 27:12Speaker 1: every time they flash her name, put the age they
- 27:15Speaker 1: put questions. I was gonna say that too, yes, And
- 27:19Speaker 1: I was always like, did they choose to do that?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Or did she choose to do that? So we got
- 27:24Speaker 1: to ask her, so let's bring her in. It's Gwen Joya.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Gwen was on season two Aaron Bergie's season of the Bachelor,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and then she's one of the O g s Hi, Gwen,
- 27:40Speaker 1: are you beautiful? So good to see you both to
- 27:45Speaker 1: see We were just talking to West Hayden, who was
- 27:48Speaker 1: just on the show right before you Do you remember West?
- 27:51Speaker 1: I do. He's a villain with a heart of gold.
- 27:55Speaker 1: We decided because he's uh, he said that he saw
- 27:58Speaker 1: himself on those shows and decided he needed to do
- 28:00Speaker 1: some some self work and really kind of reevaluated who
- 28:04Speaker 1: he was and what he was doing. So I thought
- 28:06Speaker 1: that was interesting. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I enjoyed was Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I thought, yeah, it seemed nice. We're saying, like he's
- 28:16Speaker 1: the first person I think on the on the franchise
- 28:19Speaker 1: maybe even to really own being the villain on one
- 28:21Speaker 1: of those seasons, you know what I mean, Like everybody
- 28:24Speaker 1: else would go on and they would almost kind of
- 28:25Speaker 1: complain that the audit made him look bad or whatever.
- 28:28Speaker 1: He was just like, Yep, I'm a villain. This is
- 28:29Speaker 1: what I'm a bad guy. That's what I do. I'm
- 28:31Speaker 1: a bad guy, you know. And it was kind of
- 28:33Speaker 1: interesting because I would have never thought that, well, I mean,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I could have never done that. I would have been
- 28:37Speaker 1: terrified to say, um okay. When we so, Bob and
- 28:42Speaker 1: I in prep of this episode, watched the first season, sorry,
- 28:47Speaker 1: the first episode of the first season of Bachelor Pad,
- 28:51Speaker 1: and both of us I wanted to ask this. Bob
- 28:56Speaker 1: just said he's been interested in asking you and I
- 28:59Speaker 1: had exact same question. Um okay, So they have you
- 29:04Speaker 1: on the show, and they have these twenties and thirties
- 29:07Speaker 1: some things, and you know, when you're when you come
- 29:10Speaker 1: up on your I t M s, they show your
- 29:12Speaker 1: first name, and then on Bachelor Pad at least they
- 29:15Speaker 1: show your age. And I don't I assume. I think
- 29:18Speaker 1: they did it on Aaron's season as well. But and
- 29:21Speaker 1: you can tell us this, but on Bachelor Pad it
- 29:24Speaker 1: had two question marks, no age. So Bob said, was
- 29:29Speaker 1: that was that your decision or the producers? Definitely No.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I didn't know that they would do that at all.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I think coming on they you know, they always have
- 29:39Speaker 1: a plan, right, so action and the plan for me was, Okay,
- 29:43Speaker 1: we're gonna ask somebody from an early early show mixed
- 29:47Speaker 1: with some people more recent and there there's for some
- 29:50Speaker 1: of people, there's a big age group distance Jesse back,
- 29:56Speaker 1: you know. So coming in the show was sold to
- 30:01Speaker 1: me that it was going to be a combination of
- 30:03Speaker 1: like Survivor in Jeffardy so with some trivia and just
- 30:09Speaker 1: being athletic. So I love aspects and that was never
- 30:16Speaker 1: really so yeah. I remember, I remember you and I
- 30:21Speaker 1: talked before you went on the show, and I remember
- 30:23Speaker 1: we were like, You're like, yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 30:25Speaker 1: do the show. I'm like, oh my god, I could
- 30:26Speaker 1: never do that show. I would get killed on a
- 30:28Speaker 1: show like that. And I was scared for you, you know,
- 30:31Speaker 1: going into it. You of course, you know did wonderfully.
- 30:34Speaker 1: You know, for yourself. No one would be surprised by that.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But it was one of those things I remember going,
- 30:38Speaker 1: oh my god, I could never do a show like that.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I would just get destroyed because I trust everybody too much,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and that survivor element scares the hell out of me. Yeah, girl,
- 30:47Speaker 1: I feel like I trust people too much too and
- 30:49Speaker 1: I think it has been so long since I've been
- 30:51Speaker 1: on and I thought, you know, I'm you know, I'm
- 30:54Speaker 1: probably a jack of all trades master and I'm like,
- 30:57Speaker 1: I'm pretty athletic, but i could do any board. But
- 31:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to be like the star and I'm
- 31:03Speaker 1: not I know enough, I can hold my own. So
- 31:06Speaker 1: going in, I thought, okay, well, just let's just do
- 31:08Speaker 1: this and make some friends along the way. It's you
- 31:11Speaker 1: know what, three weeks in terms of filming, but it
- 31:14Speaker 1: was a lot different than I expected going in, and
- 31:17Speaker 1: I feel like the producers maybe realized, you know, a
- 31:20Speaker 1: week or so in that gosh, you know, this isn't working.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Maybe we change it up, change it up. That's thrown okay,
- 31:29Speaker 1: maybe that's why they changed it up. Well, I want
- 31:32Speaker 1: to I wonder, do you remember how old you were then?
- 31:35Speaker 1: It was yeah, yeah, you is that what you said?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Uh huh yeah, I mean, I'm sorry, but that was
- 31:46Speaker 1: two thousand and ten and that's twelve years ago. You
- 31:50Speaker 1: do not age? What is your secret age? It's crazy?
- 31:56Speaker 1: I am like blown away pictures of you obviously on
- 32:00Speaker 1: social since then, and I always feel the same way.
- 32:04Speaker 1: How do you not age? You are just you are
- 32:07Speaker 1: such a stunner. You know what. I'm healthy, I eat well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I exercise, um, take care of myself. I don't go
- 32:15Speaker 1: in the sun. So okay, I bet that that's probably
- 32:20Speaker 1: your secret. Yeah, explains why I was like a pair
- 32:22Speaker 1: of old boots exactly because I don't eat well, I
- 32:26Speaker 1: don't I drink too much. I'm always in the sign.
- 32:29Speaker 1: By the way, you don't look like a pair of
- 32:31Speaker 1: old boots. Baby face, Bob. I so I soaked my
- 32:36Speaker 1: face in uh and Tito's every night before I go
- 32:38Speaker 1: to sleep. Tsay coconut oil. No, it's tes ttos. It's
- 32:45Speaker 1: Tito's oil. Uh. You know it's really good for the skin.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Great for there. We asked West this question, we got
- 32:54Speaker 1: to ask you too. So obviously that show was I'm
- 32:57Speaker 1: sure just a really unique experience, is I mean, it
- 33:01Speaker 1: was back in the day still a little bit too,
- 33:03Speaker 1: so it was probably before we became a two super
- 33:06Speaker 1: socially conscious show, which I feel like now they're you know,
- 33:08Speaker 1: there are rules in place now right now you can
- 33:10Speaker 1: only have one drink per hour and things of that nature.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I've read on some stuff, and then it was back then.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I remember on trist this season they'd come and they
- 33:19Speaker 1: be like, what do you guys want to eat? And
- 33:21Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, we want burgers and dogs. We want
- 33:24Speaker 1: to drink t does and beer. The tetoes and beer
- 33:25Speaker 1: was there in like eight minutes, and the bur dogs
- 33:28Speaker 1: showed up the next day, you know. So I mean
- 33:30Speaker 1: with Bachelor Pad, was it was it kind of like that?
- 33:32Speaker 1: Was it? Was it a little more of like a
- 33:35Speaker 1: a fun and and you know, booze fueled event or
- 33:39Speaker 1: was it were they like trying to get you guys,
- 33:41Speaker 1: you know, sporty and doing all the athletic competitions. I
- 33:44Speaker 1: think it certainly. Booze is always there for I feel
- 33:47Speaker 1: like a lot of the Bachelor everything. So they try
- 33:51Speaker 1: to get people to you know, drink up because they
- 33:53Speaker 1: want people to do some things really and to have
- 33:57Speaker 1: some drama because that's what makes these I mean, they
- 33:59Speaker 1: trim start up a lot. I don't know if West
- 34:02Speaker 1: is there, but there are a couple of girls at
- 34:04Speaker 1: one point and they were like asking everyone, can you
- 34:07Speaker 1: just take your off or can you just start kissing?
- 34:10Speaker 1: I mean they were just trying to really stamp it up,
- 34:13Speaker 1: and and I thought, you know, so different from way
- 34:17Speaker 1: back when when it was just more authentic and trying
- 34:21Speaker 1: to create a story or manipulate. Yeah, their storyline. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:27Speaker 1: they were definitely going for it at that point. That's
- 34:29Speaker 1: probably why. I mean, how many seasons were was Bachelor
- 34:31Speaker 1: Pad just Bachelor Along much better? Yeah? Right? That love
- 34:41Speaker 1: element and you know, not putting people against each other.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I think with Bacheld people were being deceitful and lying
- 34:47Speaker 1: and scheming and trying to undermine where I was. That
- 34:50Speaker 1: wasn't a positive environment. It was like turning to their
- 34:54Speaker 1: part really right, No, I agree, I agree with that.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I was kind of like, is jesse Kovac's kidding when
- 35:02Speaker 1: he said, you know, lying and cheating or lying and deceiving,
- 35:06Speaker 1: that's my middle name. And you know, I can see
- 35:09Speaker 1: that being said in a sarcastic tone, and he said
- 35:13Speaker 1: that in the first episode that I just watched. But
- 35:16Speaker 1: I was thinking to myself, that makes me like, I
- 35:19Speaker 1: don't like that. I I because it could potentially also
- 35:24Speaker 1: be a show about love. Why is he coming at
- 35:28Speaker 1: it like lying and deceiving is my middle name. I
- 35:32Speaker 1: didn't like that either, So I think that you're right,
- 35:34Speaker 1: like Bachelor in Paradise is just a great um way
- 35:39Speaker 1: to change up the show. You know, they wanted to
- 35:42Speaker 1: kind of do a spinoff from Bachelor and Bachelorette, and
- 35:45Speaker 1: the Bachelor Pad was great to start with. But I
- 35:48Speaker 1: love that they have evolved into Bachelor in Paradise because
- 35:53Speaker 1: it is still mostly even though there's lots of drama
- 35:57Speaker 1: about the love hay Gwin. Let me ask you, uh,
- 36:01Speaker 1: do you still watch the show at all? This month? Now?
- 36:06Speaker 1: I watch the last few seasons. I watched for a
- 36:08Speaker 1: really long long time. I probably have until maybe this
- 36:12Speaker 1: year I was watching. Yeah, and where are you now?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Are you state side or you're right? You're you moved
- 36:19Speaker 1: back to the States because I know you lived in
- 36:20Speaker 1: Paris for a while. Yeah, Paris, Philly. Yeah, that's great.
- 36:24Speaker 1: And then I moved back to the US. Then I
- 36:27Speaker 1: lived in New York for like four and a half years.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I just moved out in New York and during the pandemic.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And so now it's the time between Greenwich, Connecticut where
- 36:35Speaker 1: I am today in Florida. We're in Florida Fort Lauderdale.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Oh nice, they are during the occupents in here. That's
- 36:49Speaker 1: And are you did you ever find a love match? Yeah?
- 36:53Speaker 1: So I have. Actually I'm living with my boyfriend now, so, um, yeah,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it was just time and during the pandemic friend with
- 37:04Speaker 1: dad in New York, we just moved in together. I'm
- 37:08Speaker 1: so happy for you. I know that it was been
- 37:11Speaker 1: a it's been since being on the show, and um,
- 37:15Speaker 1: I always I just always wanted you to be happy.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And I love that you got somebody. The whole world
- 37:21Speaker 1: loves gwen Joy, That's for sure. I love you too.
- 37:27Speaker 1: So I I know you love doing Bachelor Pad or
- 37:30Speaker 1: assume that you had some fun just because of the relationships.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Do you wish that Bachelor in Paradise had been around
- 37:36Speaker 1: instead of Bachelor Pad? Definitely? There were times during Bachelor
- 37:40Speaker 1: Product I was just like, what did I get myself into?
- 37:42Speaker 1: I don't want to be here, you know. It's so
- 37:45Speaker 1: it's yeah, it was. I liked it. I wouldn't say
- 37:50Speaker 1: I loved it, and I only liked it because I
- 37:52Speaker 1: met some some good people and make good friendships there.
- 37:56Speaker 1: But I didn't like the concept. Yeah. No, it seems
- 38:01Speaker 1: like it would be would have been better suited to
- 38:03Speaker 1: you to be on Bachelor in Paradise thing. You know,
- 38:07Speaker 1: I'm I want to be authentic and real is not yeah, right,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I think, especially for the first season. I feel like
- 38:16Speaker 1: everyone came into it thinking we just have to. It's
- 38:20Speaker 1: kind of like Big Brother ESK and that, you know,
- 38:22Speaker 1: you just you're you're going to ask forgiveness later, You're
- 38:26Speaker 1: just gonna lie in deceit and you know, cheat your
- 38:29Speaker 1: way to the top and then say I'm sorry. It
- 38:32Speaker 1: was all a game. You know when if you say
- 38:35Speaker 1: that about love, then you're just a juche bag, you know.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Oh my god, you guys, my son is throwing posts
- 38:44Speaker 1: that notes at me. I don't even know what's going
- 38:45Speaker 1: on right now, Like I want to. I want the
- 38:49Speaker 1: producers to frame and like the still shot of you
- 38:53Speaker 1: looking at Grayson when he flipped the computer the second time,
- 38:57Speaker 1: like that's the mad dad face? Are you sorry? When
- 39:09Speaker 1: I should be asking your questions instead of dying laughing
- 39:13Speaker 1: right now? But I know it's fine, Okay, this is yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Maybe maybe this is the kicker, is the final this
- 39:26Speaker 1: is what did it? I have one more question? I
- 39:32Speaker 1: want one because we did ask Um West this when
- 39:36Speaker 1: we talked to him, what is your favorite memory from
- 39:39Speaker 1: the show, and he kind of said what you said
- 39:41Speaker 1: about you know, you love that you made relationships, but
- 39:43Speaker 1: do you have one memory that that stands out, whether
- 39:47Speaker 1: it's funny or sentimental or whatever. And maybe something that
- 39:51Speaker 1: you know, we didn't see on the show. We'd love
- 39:54Speaker 1: to hear it so long, but I don't even remember
- 39:57Speaker 1: like so much. But really I think a lot of
- 40:01Speaker 1: it was it's been I got to know Gia really well,
- 40:04Speaker 1: so we had some girl bonding time, which was great
- 40:08Speaker 1: and um girl discussions about you know, the strategy and
- 40:14Speaker 1: what we're doing and just life in general. And another
- 40:20Speaker 1: another good memory was the weather Man. Yes, the weather Man.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I'm just just because I had no idea who he
- 40:29Speaker 1: was prior to the show or whatnot, but just really
- 40:32Speaker 1: down to earth, super genuine when we were just we
- 40:36Speaker 1: were out on some you know dates or whatnot, talking
- 40:40Speaker 1: about you know, Italy and all our travels because that's
- 40:43Speaker 1: such a passion. So that was really positive memory too.
- 40:47Speaker 1: And then Western Gia like you know, falling for each other,
- 40:51Speaker 1: So witnessing that was especially Yeah, Yeah, we talked to
- 40:55Speaker 1: him about I asked him about it, and yeah, that's
- 41:00Speaker 1: still so heartbreaking just watching the episode and seeing just
- 41:05Speaker 1: I mean, her interviewedy even shines through when you watch
- 41:08Speaker 1: the show. It just still breaks my heart to this day,
- 41:11Speaker 1: but um, yeah, thank you Gwenn. It's been awesome seeing
- 41:16Speaker 1: you and chatting right stuff. You really beautiful. By the way,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you don't need to do my Tito's compress. You guys
- 41:29Speaker 1: are much better off compress. We're gonna get right on
- 41:32Speaker 1: that though. It's working for you. Von, thanks a, thank
- 41:42Speaker 1: you so much. You vote take care. You know what's funny.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I so it's really interesting to me that, um, this show,
- 41:56Speaker 1: you know, I asked the producers how can we watch
- 41:59Speaker 1: and they said, h you Max, Do you have HBO Max.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, so I go on HBO Max and
- 42:04Speaker 1: it's like Bachelor Pad, Bachelor, Bachelor Ette, Bachelor in Paradise.
- 42:08Speaker 1: They have all four and Winter Games all five of
- 42:11Speaker 1: the as IT shows, although they don't have every single show.
- 42:15Speaker 1: But it's so interesting like back in the day you
- 42:18Speaker 1: had to record it on your VCR or your TVO
- 42:22Speaker 1: like you said, or you have to be watching live
- 42:25Speaker 1: like you couldn't. When the show was done, it was done,
- 42:29Speaker 1: like there was no looking back. And I think for
- 42:33Speaker 1: us especially, I think for me too, it was kind
- 42:36Speaker 1: of calling in that once this is over, then it's
- 42:41Speaker 1: never going to be seen it again, see it again,
- 42:45Speaker 1: there's something really uh really you know, really kind of
- 42:49Speaker 1: I don't know, it almost like absolved you of the show,
- 42:51Speaker 1: you know what, right, And now, I mean they don't
- 42:56Speaker 1: have every single season on of each of those shows,
- 43:00Speaker 1: but I do love that we can go back and
- 43:04Speaker 1: and watch some of them at least. And I know,
- 43:07Speaker 1: like there are other apps like tub has some and
- 43:11Speaker 1: maybe they've sold them to different different apps just to
- 43:13Speaker 1: have people watching on different on different apps. But um, yeah,
- 43:18Speaker 1: I think it's really interesting that that back in the day,
- 43:22Speaker 1: like you just couldn't it was done and yeah, yeah,
- 43:26Speaker 1: now it's now it's everywhere. I mean, you know, I
- 43:29Speaker 1: would be interested to see, um, you know, once when
- 43:32Speaker 1: an if uh you know, the whole franchise raps at
- 43:36Speaker 1: some point, which you know, I guess everything would happen
- 43:39Speaker 1: to a certain degree, uh you know, where things come
- 43:41Speaker 1: to an end, I suppose, which probably isn't anytime soon.
- 43:45Speaker 1: But I don't think it's anytime soon. I wonder a
- 43:47Speaker 1: big box set that would come out of every season,
- 43:50Speaker 1: you know, no, because box sets people would look at
- 43:54Speaker 1: it and say what is that, just like they did
- 43:56Speaker 1: at your compact disc. That's very good point. Box set
- 44:01Speaker 1: is not happening box sets anymore? Are there? There are
- 44:05Speaker 1: no box sets. Yes, you just staged yourself just a
- 44:08Speaker 1: little bit. Only vintage record stores. That's the life place, okay,
- 44:12Speaker 1: so Bobe. Everybody, thanks for tuning in today. Um we
- 44:16Speaker 1: love having you and we're excited to talk to you
- 44:18Speaker 1: next week, so make sure to tune in. Thanks everybody,
