- Prashanthi Nuthi: Hello friends, I was sitting at a red light when a ridiculous idea popped into my head. What if starting from tomorrow, green meant stop and red meant go? There's absolutely no cost of change. It's the same traffic light, same algorithm, same roads, same cars, only one changed rule. And what if you knew this rule and you were approaching a traffic light and it turns green? What's your immediate instinct? What does your leg do? This reminded me of one of the projects that went totally wrong many many years back. It was a manufacturing client. They had a legacy sales and marketing website. Their customers were using the website for more than 10 years. They exactly knew where to go, what to click, how to find help. Then we walked in and we modernized the website because we had the technology to do so. And suddenly the users got confused. They didn't know where to go. Their landmarks were gone. And they couldn't find help. Some of them left. Some of them went to the competitors. And finally our sales dropped. We had considered for the cost of change, but our biggest mistake was we did not consider the cost of adoption. Users don't start at level zero. They come with habits. They come with years of familiarity. So here's the microboost for you today. Think about the change you want people around you to embrace. And ask yourself, what should they unlearn before adopting the change? And not just that, what if their old instinct comes back and they push the gas when they see the green light? Do not underestimate that moment. Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together. Thank you.
