- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode we're diving right back in
- 0:07Speaker 1: to that Democratic report on Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:11Speaker 1: The cover-up. Donald Trump's many brazen lies about his relationship
- 0:15Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein and DOJ's relentless cover-up for Trump and
- 0:20Speaker 1: other probable accomplices and co-conspirators. The evidence that Donald Trump
- 0:25Speaker 1: knew about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and even participated in them
- 0:29Speaker 1: is further bolstered by the fact that when questioned about
- 0:32Speaker 1: his relationship with Epstein have come up, Donald Trump has
- 0:36Speaker 1: unequivocally and repeatedly lied in response. In 2019, after Epstein's
- 0:42Speaker 1: alleged suicide, Donald Trump minimized his relationship with the notorious
- 0:46Speaker 1: child sex trafficker, falsely claiming, Well, I knew him like
- 0:49Speaker 1: everybody else in Palm Beach knew him. I had a
- 0:52Speaker 1: falling out with him a long time ago. I don't
- 0:54Speaker 1: think I've spoken to him for 15 years. I wasn't
- 0:57Speaker 1: a fan. I was not a fan of his. That
- 0:59Speaker 1: same year, Trump further denied knowledge of Epstein's crimes, stating,
- 1:05Speaker 1: Donald Trump was no casual acquaintance of Jeffrey Epstein's, who
- 1:14Speaker 1: knew him by reputation or happenstance, just like everybody in
- 1:17Speaker 1: Palm Beach knew him. By all accounts, Trump and Epstein
- 1:21Speaker 1: were inseparable for much of the 90s. They called each
- 1:24Speaker 1: other several times a week, they partied together constantly, either
- 1:27Speaker 1: at Mar-a-Lago or or at Epstein's New York townhouse. Epstein
- 1:31Speaker 1: attended beauty pageants hosted by Trump and attended Donald Trump's
- 1:35Speaker 1: 1993 wedding to Marla Maples. In 1997 and 1999, Epstein
- 1:41Speaker 1: and Trump were photographed together at Victoria's Secret events run
- 1:45Speaker 1: by alleged Epstein co-conspirator Les Wexner. Epstein's leaked address book
- 1:51Speaker 1: contained 14 numbers for Donald Trump, including Trump's direct line,
- 1:55Speaker 1: as well as Melania's. There are also many pictures of
- 1:58Speaker 1: Donald Trump Melania Epstein and Glenn Maxwell socializing together. Trump
- 2:03Speaker 1: himself has described their close friendship in exuberant and suggestive terms.
- 2:08Speaker 1: In a 2002 New York Magazine profile, Trump said, I've
- 2:11Speaker 1: known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot
- 2:14Speaker 1: of fun to be with. It's even said that he
- 2:17Speaker 1: likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many
- 2:19Speaker 1: of them are on the younger side. Just a year
- 2:22Speaker 1: later in 2003, Donald Trump signed a birthday book for
- 2:26Speaker 1: Epstein with a note, that not only celebrated their friendship,
- 2:30Speaker 1: but again alluded to their common interests. Donald Trump's note,
- 2:34Speaker 1: contained within an image of a nude young woman, is
- 2:38Speaker 1: included in the friend section of the book. In it,
- 2:41Speaker 1: Trump wrote that a pal is a wonderful thing. We
- 2:44Speaker 1: have certain things in common, Jeffrey. Enigmas never age. And finally,
- 2:50Speaker 1: and may every day be another wonderful secret. While Epstein
- 2:55Speaker 1: and Trump had a falling out over a real estate deal,
- 2:57Speaker 1: it appears possible that Epstein resumed contact with Trump, or
- 3:02Speaker 1: at least his close advisors, after Donald Trump won the
- 3:05Speaker 1: presidency in 2016. On or around November 13, 2016, immediately
- 3:12Speaker 1: after Donald Trump's election, Epstein wrote to tell multiple acquaintances
- 3:16Speaker 1: that he was attending meetings at Epstein Tower and seeing
- 3:19Speaker 1: Trump people, despite it being a Sunday, the same Sunday
- 3:22Speaker 1: when Donald Trump was at Trump Tower conducting cabinet interviews
- 3:26Speaker 1: and was holed up with his transition team. For his part,
- 3:30Speaker 1: Epstein told author Michael Wolff in 2017 that he had
- 3:35Speaker 1: been Trump's closest friend for 10 years before their falling out.
- 3:39Speaker 1: One woman who socialized with the pair in New York
- 3:42Speaker 1: described the darkly competitive nature of their friendship. It was
- 3:46Speaker 1: like a pissing contest. Who had the most women? Even
- 3:49Speaker 1: before Donald Trump's rise to political power, their relationship came
- 3:53Speaker 1: under intense suspicion. In a 2010 deposition, Epstein was asked
- 3:58Speaker 1: if he ever socialized with Donald Trump with girls under
- 4:01Speaker 1: 18 years of age. Epstein invoked his constitutional right not
- 4:05Speaker 1: to answer, stating, though I'd like to answer that question,
- 4:08Speaker 1: at least today, I'm going to have to assert my 5th, 6th,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and 14th Amendment rights. Trump is fond of repeating the
- 4:15Speaker 1: assertion that he kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago Club for
- 4:18Speaker 1: being a creep. This claim is plainly intended to distance
- 4:22Speaker 1: Trump from Epstein, is demonstrably false and contradicted by Trump himself.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Members of the House Judiciary Committee, including ranking member Raskin,
- 4:33Speaker 1: who first found this evidence, and the House Oversight Committee
- 4:36Speaker 1: reviewed a heavily redacted 2009 document in DOJ's possession summarizing
- 4:41Speaker 1: a conversation that Donald Trump, his Mar-a-Lago manager, and his
- 4:45Speaker 1: lawyers had with an attorney for survivors suing Epstein in 2009.
- 4:50Speaker 1: This conversation apparently substituted for Donald Trump being subpoenaed for
- 4:55Speaker 1: a civil deposition relating to Epstein's sex trafficking operation. The
- 4:59Speaker 1: unredacted conversation shows that Donald Trump stated unequivocally that Epstein
- 5:04Speaker 1: was never asked to leave Mar-a-Lago. In the same document,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Epstein's lawyers also reported that Burt Lemke, the manager of
- 5:11Speaker 1: Mar-a-Lago at the time in question, also confirmed that Epstein
- 5:14Speaker 1: was never asked to leave Mar-a-Lago. This document remains under
- 5:18Speaker 1: redaction in the DOJ database in clear violation of federal law.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It's recreated in an unredacted form below. The email spoke
- 5:27Speaker 1: to Alan Garten, Trump's attorney, redacted Garten arranged a 20-minute
- 5:31Speaker 1: phone conference with Trump and Brad in lieu of a depot.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Following was discussed. J.E. ever expelled from Mar-a-Lago? No, he
- 5:40Speaker 1: was not a member, may have been a guest, never
- 5:42Speaker 1: asked to leave. Mark Epstein said Trump on Epstein's plane.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Is that true? I've been on a lot of planes.
- 5:48Speaker 1: May have been on his plane. No young girls. On
- 5:51Speaker 1: the plane. What do you know about the allegations against J.E.?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Only what I read in the paper. Trump over at J.E.
- 5:57Speaker 1: 's house. I may have been there with my wife.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Any young girls there? No. May have been children. Of guests.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But that's it. Trump specifically asked Garten to advise us
- 6:07Speaker 1: on the interview. Brad had also previously talked to the
- 6:10Speaker 1: manager of Mar-a-Lago, Burt Lemke. Lemke confirmed J.E. never asked
- 6:14Speaker 1: to leave Mar-a-Lago. One item in the redacted document fairly
- 6:19Speaker 1: jumps off the page. The email sent by Epstein's lawyers
- 6:22Speaker 1: states that Trump specifically asked Garten, Trump's lawyer, to advise us,
- 6:26Speaker 1: Trump's team, of the interview. In other words, Donald Trump
- 6:30Speaker 1: asked that his account of his relationship with Epstein, which
- 6:33Speaker 1: Epstein's lawyers were not initially privy to, be passed on
- 6:36Speaker 1: to Epstein. That request and his phrasing raises significant red
- 6:40Speaker 1: flags that Donald Trump wanted to make sure Epstein was
- 6:43Speaker 1: matching his false narrative. There are two possibilities here, and
- 6:47Speaker 1: both are deeply incriminating. Perhaps Trump was telling the truth
- 6:52Speaker 1: and that Epstein was never asked to leave. In that case,
- 6:55Speaker 1: Trump had been lying for years about kicking Epstein out
- 6:58Speaker 1: of Mar-a-Lago. But perhaps Trump did in fact kick Epstein
- 7:02Speaker 1: out of Mar-a-Lago. In that case, he lied to Survivors
- 7:05Speaker 1: Council to protect Epstein. Perhaps because of this admission that
- 7:09Speaker 1: he never kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago, Over the next
- 7:12Speaker 1: decade and a half, Donald Trump has been unable to
- 7:15Speaker 1: maintain any kind of consistent story about how and why
- 7:18Speaker 1: his relationship with Epstein soured. In 2025, he stated that
- 7:23Speaker 1: he kicked Epstein out of his club because he took
- 7:26Speaker 1: people that worked for him. And late survivor Virginia Roberts
- 7:30Speaker 1: was one of those people. According to Trump, Epstein stole her,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and by the way, she had no complaints about us,
- 7:36Speaker 1: as you know, none whatsoever. Yet Trump and Epstein remained
- 7:40Speaker 1: close friends for several years after Epstein purportedly stole Roberts
- 7:45Speaker 1: in 2000. Not only did Trump and Epstein's friendship remain
- 7:48Speaker 1: strong in 2000, but roughly two years later, Donald Trump
- 7:52Speaker 1: was still praising Epstein as a terrific guy and a
- 7:55Speaker 1: lot of fun to be with. The year after that interview,
- 7:59Speaker 1: in 2003, Donald Trump penned his now infamous birthday note
- 8:02Speaker 1: to Epstein. in the Friends section of the book, in
- 8:05Speaker 1: which Trump wrote that a pal is a wonderful thing
- 8:08Speaker 1: to have. In short, Epstein and Trump remained close friends
- 8:12Speaker 1: for at least three years after Epstein recruited Roberts from Mar-a-Lago.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump had emphatically stated that he knew nothing of
- 8:20Speaker 1: Epstein's criminal activities related to minors. Recently released files, however,
- 8:25Speaker 1: show that Trump indeed knew about Epstein's crimes and lied
- 8:29Speaker 1: when he denied it. In 2018, Epstein sent an email
- 8:32Speaker 1: to reporter Michael Wolff that said, of course Trump knew
- 8:36Speaker 1: about the girls, as he asked Elaine to stop. The
- 8:40Speaker 1: Palm Beach chief of police also informed FBI that Donald
- 8:43Speaker 1: Trump called him in 2006 saying, thank goodness you're stopping him.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Everyone has known he's been doing this. These statements demonstrate
- 8:52Speaker 1: that Donald Trump clearly knew. about Epstein's crimes in 2006
- 8:55Speaker 1: and then lied about it more than a decade later
- 8:59Speaker 1: in 2019 when public scrutiny of Epstein's operation intensified. The
- 9:04Speaker 1: president's defenders have used the 2006 call to claim that Trump,
- 9:08Speaker 1: far from being a co-conspirator, attempted to alert law enforcement
- 9:12Speaker 1: to Epstein's crimes. Redacted passages in the 2009 document summarizing
- 9:17Speaker 1: a meeting between Donald Trump, his Mar-a-Lago manager, his lawyers,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and an attorney for the survivors, disprove this theory. During
- 9:25Speaker 1: that call, Donald Trump was asked what he knew about
- 9:27Speaker 1: the allegations against J.E., replied, only what I've read in
- 9:30Speaker 1: the paper. At this time, Epstein, who had received a
- 9:34Speaker 1: sweetheart plea deal roughly two years earlier, was facing civil
- 9:37Speaker 1: lawsuits brought by four different survivors who had been harmed
- 9:41Speaker 1: by his conduct. Trump could have shared his professed knowledge
- 9:45Speaker 1: of Epstein's crimes and revealed the facts everyone has known
- 9:48Speaker 1: about Epstein's child trafficking, but Trump chose not to. In
- 9:52Speaker 1: other words, Trump professed to know about and detest Epstein's
- 9:56Speaker 1: crimes when talking to law enforcement officials who might be
- 9:59Speaker 1: inclined to investigate Trump, but then three years later backtracked
- 10:03Speaker 1: when presented with an actual opportunity to ensure that Epstein
- 10:07Speaker 1: would face accountability in the legal system. In January 2024,
- 10:13Speaker 1: Trump took to social media to say that he was
- 10:16Speaker 1: never on Epstein's plane, now widely known as the Lolita Express.
- 10:20Speaker 1: This denial was completely false. The Epstein files reveal that
- 10:24Speaker 1: Donald Trump is listed on the jet's flight logs and
- 10:27Speaker 1: that he flew on the jet at least eight different
- 10:30Speaker 1: times during the 90s. On at least one flight, Trump, Epstein,
- 10:34Speaker 1: and a 20-year-old woman were the only passengers. An assistant
- 10:38Speaker 1: United States attorney in the Southern District of New York
- 10:40Speaker 1: commented that on at least two occasions, Trump and Epstein
- 10:44Speaker 1: traveled with potential witnesses in Ghislaine Maxwell's trial. Notably, Donald
- 10:50Speaker 1: Trump was far less definitive about never having been on
- 10:53Speaker 1: Epstein's plane when questioned by lawyers in 2009. In that
- 10:57Speaker 1: account redacted in the Epstein files, the lawyer asks, Mark
- 11:00Speaker 1: Epstein said Trump on Epstein's plane, is that true? Donald
- 11:04Speaker 1: Trump replied, I've been on a lot of planes, may
- 11:06Speaker 1: have been on his plane, no young girls on the plane. This,
- 11:09Speaker 1: of course, was also misleading or an outright lie. Donald
- 11:13Speaker 1: Trump could not have reasonably forgotten traveling on the plane
- 11:16Speaker 1: multiple times. And there were certainly at least young women
- 11:19Speaker 1: on the plane with him. All right, folks, we're going
- 11:21Speaker 1: to wrap up right here. And in the next episode,
- 11:24Speaker 1: we're going to pick up where we left off. All
- 11:26Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
- 11:30Speaker 1: in the description box.
