- 0:00Actually, it's the biggest trigger was the meeting with the
- 0:06CEO and from the company where I worked for and when I came or
- 0:12went for the first time in my life to ask for a pay raise.
- 0:18And he expected from me how much worse I am.
- 0:23And I expected it, to hear it from him, how much worse I am
- 0:27for him. But what he sent me or told me
- 0:32that he actually didn't know what I'm doing.
- 0:35It was my direct boss. But it was, yeah, it was a
- 0:41really strange, strange meeting. And.
- 0:45And mirroring, it sounds like you were mirroring.
- 0:48So, you know, this is the thing. Oh gosh, I could go on about
- 0:53this forever in a day. But energy is, as you know, it's
- 0:57a frequency and occurrence. So if we go into a meeting
- 1:02thinking, Oh, I'm not good enough, then oh, can I have a
- 1:05pay rise? Can I have a pay rise?
- 1:08It's like, why would I give you a pay rise?
- 1:11And it's almost like a, a self fulfilled prophecy, but it's,
- 1:16it's like a projection. Whereas you walk in and you have
- 1:20a sense of deserving and, and, and that sense of empowerment.
- 1:25And you know, this is what I can do for you.
- 1:29You know, they say Napoleon Hill says it.
- 1:31You know, the one with the most certainty will win.
- 1:35So, you know, what did you do to switch that around?
- 1:38Was it the Joe Dispenza retreats or what on earth you know caused
- 1:43your mindset to shift? Yeah, so I have to add to this
- 1:48that you are totally right. But I told him what what I ever
- 1:52think everything what I've done. So I told him this outcomes, but
- 1:56in me inside, I didn't believe in myself.
- 1:59And this was actually as you said.
- 2:03Yeah, this was the the problem actually.
- 2:07And then yeah, I started working together with my mentors.
- 2:12Actually my first mentor. She told me she saw me as an
- 2:16entrepreneur and I told her no, no way, because I didn't have
- 2:20any savings. I didn't have a plan.
- 2:23BI didn't have entrepreneur experiences.
- 2:27But then I started working together with her and I found,
- 2:31thanks to her find my, my wife, my vision, vision, my vision.
- 2:36And I became entrepreneur and I started working actually
- 2:39directly with my first client. And it was in 2021.
- 2:45And two years later I visited my first retreat from Jodie
- 2:49Spencer. And yeah, this changed my mind,
- 2:53my life. I really started to meditate
- 2:58with his meditations twice a day.
- 3:00And of course, from the beginning, I also, I was working
- 3:04on my LinkedIn skills. And since then I'm doing this.
- 3:07So I continually invest, continue investing in myself a
- 3:12lot of, yeah, big amounts of money.
- 3:15But this is actually what helps my clients so much because on
- 3:22one hand, I'm updated. I am, I'm still on with
- 3:27development. I mean, it's developing so fast
- 3:30and this online world and everything is changing and how
- 3:33we think also as humans, how we consume online.
- 3:37And on the other hand, also the mindset, how we feel, how we
- 3:42think, how we act and what we say, because it creates our life
- 3:47and it's also how I change my life.
- 3:50And that's what inspires My name is Terry Messenger and I am hey,
- 3:57hey, hey. And welcome, Welcome to Terry
- 4:03Messenger's Genius Zone. And you know, this is the place
- 4:09in the space where you are going to get your own free master
- 4:15class. Absolutely free.

- 6:06Hello and welcome. Welcome to Terry Messenger's
- 6:11Genius Zone. And if you have ever thought
- 6:17about really getting your influence out there on social
- 6:23media, I wonder if you've ever considered LinkedIn to being an
- 6:30absolute open field to create your greatest influence.
- 6:37Well, guess what? Regardless of whether you want
- 6:40to be a LinkedIn star or whether you want to just be able to
- 6:46embrace who you are in your most authentic story.
- 6:52I have a wonderful woman. And this woman is an absolute
- 6:57genius at building community. She is a keynote speaker, wait
- 7:03for it, on a Ted X talk. And she's also been featured in
- 7:08the Forbes magazine. Wow, now this really impressed
- 7:13me. This lady has done 5 of Joe
- 7:18Dispensers retreats, so let's just say she knows a little
- 7:23thing or two about the mindset and she absolutely believes that
- 7:29your mindset is 80% of the success rather than just the
- 7:36strategy. So with no further ado, I can't
- 7:39wait because you're going to experience what it's going to be
- 7:45like to create your success, your epic success in motion
- 7:50right here. So with no further ado, hello
- 7:53Saka, how are you? Hello Terry.
- 7:56Hello everyone. Thank you so much for having me.
- 7:59I am feeling great, so I'm so grateful to be here.
- 8:03Well, I am so grateful to have you on the show and what an
- 8:07amazing human being that you are.
- 8:10And, you know, I'm going to just encourage people to really stay
- 8:15to the end because you're going to find out a lot more about,
- 8:20you know, building that strategy because we're going to do a
- 8:23little demo. So firstly, people really want
- 8:30to see the real human right Saka, you know, there's, I think
- 8:37we all had this kind of idea about perfectionism and and
- 8:42you're an expert on erasing that.
- 8:47But what is it the magic? And why do people need to see
- 8:52behind the mask? Yeah, thank you very much for
- 8:57asking. That's a very important question
- 8:59because we all are humans and we all are imperfect humans, and
- 9:05everyone is making mistakes. But the most important is to
- 9:09learn from them and to develop ourselves and to work on
- 9:15ourselves every day and to see solutions, to believe in
- 9:20solutions. And that's actually how LinkedIn
- 9:24works as well. That's very interesting.
- 9:28So, you know, people are not looking for perfect people, but
- 9:33they're they're really looking for real people.
- 9:36So, you know, what's the fine line?
- 9:38Do you see that, you know, sharing and being real is
- 9:46actually a bit of a a magnet? Yeah.
- 9:50So the authenticity is crucial. Of course, it all starts with a
- 9:55clarity, with a clarity about my purpose, why I'm doing what I'm
- 10:00doing, a clarity about my vision, where I want to go,
- 10:05what's my bigger picture and about my mission.
- 10:08So how I want to go there, how I help people.
- 10:13But then it's crucial to be clear about what are my goals on
- 10:18LinkedIn, who I want to reach with my target audience and what
- 10:24are the passages where. Where I want to be known for and
- 10:28where I want to share my expertise, my experiences, and
- 10:32where I want also to help and inspire others.
- 10:36So it's starts with a strategy, but then it's all about people,
- 10:42about building general relationships and being of being
- 10:46authentic as we are. I mean, I know the word
- 10:50authentic is so much used, but it's so powerful if you use it
- 10:56in the right way because we really connect with people as
- 11:00human beings, as beings. You don't.
- 11:05It's machines with AI. OK.
- 11:10So I think that's a good point too, because there's a lot of
- 11:13people getting a bit nervous out there with AI.
- 11:18And I, I believe that really what you're saying here is that
- 11:23no matter what, AI will never have a heartbeat and the blood
- 11:28flowing through the veins and the real life.
- 11:32So you can never, ever take the place of a real human being.
- 11:37And look, I, I do love that. The other thing that I see
- 11:41myself and, and I'm not a LinkedIn expert.
- 11:45In fact, I'm going to be learning a lot from you on this.
- 11:49But as a kind of a, you know, person who's done a lot of
- 11:53transformation and worked with a lot of coaches in the online
- 11:57space, I think I've seen a lot of hassle and a lot of
- 12:03especially on Instagram, where you feel like you have to be
- 12:09perfect. You, you have to have a certain
- 12:12look. You have to have a certain
- 12:14mannerism about you. But then, you know, you want to
- 12:19see what happens to the perfectionist who's hustling
- 12:24their butt off when they actually have a real life issue.
- 12:30And that's when everybody seems to flock.
- 12:33You know, that's what I've actually noticed.
- 12:35So can you talk us through, you know, a raising perfectionism in
- 12:42that way? And what would you say to people
- 12:47who are maybe they're scared of being imperfect or making
- 12:51mistakes? You probably know what the deal
- 12:54is on that. Yes, thank you very much for
- 12:58asking. So I see that there are people
- 13:02on LinkedIn that they really care about likes and impressions
- 13:08and they are really obsessed with it.
- 13:11Of course the analytics are important, but much more
- 13:16important are are we are humans. If it doesn't matter if I am, I
- 13:24have so many impressions, I have so many likes.
- 13:28The likes doesn't bring you more the likes.
- 13:32Yeah, of course you have perhaps a little bit more visibility,
- 13:34but. They don't pay the bills, do
- 13:36they? Yeah, doesn't mean that you
- 13:38have, you have clients who have new employees and you, you, you
- 13:44are, you position yourself as a true, true leader.
- 13:50So, so much more important is really to connect with people
- 13:54through our energy and also through really who we are, who
- 13:59we are in our, our heart, our core.
- 14:03And that's why it's so important to be courageous and really to,
- 14:07to have this intention to help others, to inspire others.
- 14:12And of course they want people want to see our face, they want
- 14:16to see our pictures because it's also emotion.
- 14:20It's our how our brain works. But first of all, we have to
- 14:25take the courage and to make this shift this minds achieve.
- 14:29I'm on LinkedIn to help others, not to promote myself.
- 14:33I'm really there to to inspire and help others.
- 14:37And then to acknowledge, acknowledge that nobody's
- 14:42perfect and we can only learn and develop ourselves if we
- 14:48start being active, if we start sharing our way, our, our
- 14:53journey, our mistakes, our learnings to help others and
- 15:00also believe in ourselves. Because when I believe in
- 15:04ourselves and I see the results of my clients, then I can share
- 15:09this and I can help even more clients.
- 15:12And also embracing challenges. It's so important because every
- 15:19challenge brings me further because when I embrace it, I go
- 15:26through it. Then there is every time a gift,
- 15:29a gift behind the challenge, and I don't see it at the beginning,
- 15:34but I know every challenge let me learn and develop myself and
- 15:40that's how I grow, how I step out of my comfort zone and
- 15:44that's where the impact starts. Amazing.
- 15:48And that's so true. I mean, let's face it, we never
- 15:52go to a movie. Pay big money at the box office
- 15:56so we can watch the perfect, you know, superhero living a life
- 16:02full of rainbows and butterflies and continuing along that same
- 16:08beach the whole way through. There's got to be an adversity.
- 16:14There's got to be a pain. There's got to be something.
- 16:18So when you think about it, I mean, it's the movies, it's,
- 16:22it's the what makes a box office hit smash.
- 16:27You know, like, you know, I heard a friend, colleague of
- 16:31mine saying the other day, if it bleeds, it leads.
- 16:35And, you know, I, I feel that I did fall into the trap of
- 16:40perfectionism, especially when I first came into the online
- 16:46space. And it was almost like I had
- 16:51been in clinic and helped so many people.
- 16:55So the focus was just helping people and that worked
- 16:59beautifully. But all of a sudden I came into
- 17:01the online space and I think the biggest mistake that I made was
- 17:05putting on that big crocade of, hi, this is me.
- 17:10And sort of, I don't know, working hard, hustling, trying
- 17:15to look like in a certain way. And yet it didn't take away from
- 17:19my gift, but it took away from my charisma.
- 17:24And then, you know, this is the part where I promised you
- 17:28backstage that I would mention this.
- 17:31I had, I hit a huge crisis in my life and the crisis was so big
- 17:40and not what I expected at a critical point of my life where
- 17:46I had, you know, met the man of my dreams 18 years ago.
- 17:51We, we were building this life of helping people and that's
- 17:55what we were doing together. And then, alas, he took sick,
- 18:00but he went downhill so fast that we discovered, Long story
- 18:07short, that he had CJD, which is Kreutzfeld Yakov disease, a
- 18:12fatally critical disease that is always fatal.
- 18:18And you know, today he is unable to speak.
- 18:22He's non verbal. He is, you know, not able to
- 18:26move his body. And I, I remember asking myself
- 18:31on the way when it was all going downhill very fast.
- 18:35I remember asking myself, how am I going to show up, how I'm not
- 18:40going to be able to do this anymore?
- 18:42Like, what am I going to do? And you know, I feel like this
- 18:46is relevant into the conversation here because all of
- 18:50a sudden I said, well, there's only one thing for me to do.
- 18:55This is my focus. I am going to have to do this.
- 18:58And then my mission turned into creating miracles.
- 19:02Every day is a miracle and you shouldn't even be alive.
- 19:06Long story short, we just began the authentic process of
- 19:14documenting the sad situation as it is and me being still my
- 19:20coaching self, but being able to showcase that with him and how
- 19:26we kind of relate together. And you know what?
- 19:30That has actually changed the trajectory of my business and
- 19:35it's in a way where it's almost like people have a different, I
- 19:42don't know whether they feel like they know you better.
- 19:45But from your point of view, can you understand how that's
- 19:50happened with me? I mean, you're the expert here
- 19:53with LinkedIn, I mean about that kind of a situation crisis and
- 20:00how may kind of just letting it unfold has actually.
- 20:07Unwittingly kind of made, you know, created a lot more success
- 20:12in my business. Thank you very much for sharing.
- 20:16And well, that's an amazing story, Terry.
- 20:19And yeah, I admire you and also your husband for the for the
- 20:23journey that you are doing together.
- 20:26And yes, that's true because the you mentioned before one more
- 20:31one crucial thing. We humans, we connect through
- 20:36stories because everyone has a story, as you also mentioned in
- 20:40your story. And everyone has a story and
- 20:44people connect to it because we are emotional human beings and
- 20:49we see us in the stories, but we also learn and get inspired from
- 20:55the stories. And that's why it's so
- 20:58important. And storytelling, it became so
- 21:00important on on social media, on LinkedIn as well, because, yeah,
- 21:05we can tell about our expertise explaining.
- 21:09But if we share the story that actually influenced people, as
- 21:14you should know, for example, it's, it's really, I can feel
- 21:18it. And that's what story makes.
- 21:21And people never forget how you made them feel.
- 21:25They forget what you said, but they've never forget how you
- 21:28made them feel. Wow, that's that's powerful.
- 21:33Yes, that's just so powerful. So you say perfect posts and I
- 21:37suppose that kind of covers, you know, a lot about what we've
- 21:41both just shared. Don't create connection, honesty
- 21:45does. So that's obviously one of your,
- 21:49you know, very important mottos that you live by.
- 21:54So do you think people are getting a bit wrapped up in
- 21:58trying to to create perfect posts and then finding that they
- 22:02fall? Flat, yeah.
- 22:05So for me, it all starts with the clarity and the the the
- 22:10strategy, the personalized strategy.
- 22:12But then it it's so important to build strong connections, to
- 22:16build a strong community because we can have the perfect post,
- 22:21but if we don't have the community, not many people will
- 22:25see it. Not many people will read it,
- 22:28comment on it and and like it or or write as direct messages, for
- 22:34example. So yeah, it's like in the in the
- 22:39offline world, first, we are, we are human beings.
- 22:42It's regarding to Maslow. It's, this is a part of our
- 22:48needs to be social and it's actually how social media and
- 22:52especially LinkedIn with helps us with the business contacts
- 22:56and it's connect with people on the emotional stage.
- 23:02So this is, yeah, this is actually a crucial part.
- 23:07And then of course, it's important to learn how our brain
- 23:10works, how we read online and also how we can share our
- 23:17stories, how we can share our expertise, to inspire and to
- 23:21help others. So it's, yeah, it's all about
- 23:28connecting with people and knowing that the crucial part is
- 23:31to know how to do it online because many of my clients, they
- 23:36really don't know how to build and nurture this relationships
- 23:41online. And it's actually, it's actually
- 23:44not so difficult. I tell them every time.
- 23:47Just imagine. Just imagine the person you
- 23:49would like to talk to in the ends, in the comment or in the
- 23:54post is standing in front of you.
- 23:57Imagine the person that you are talking to and talk as normal
- 24:01human. Wow, wow.
- 24:05So, so really relate. And you say also that the magic
- 24:10is in the DMS and so, yeah, So what what are you talking about
- 24:16in the DMS? Can I kind of pry a little bit
- 24:19into that? Yeah, so I found the
- 24:23personalities that the comments are magical, that they helps you
- 24:28to be more visible. But the true magic happens in
- 24:32the DMS because then you have the person one-on-one and then
- 24:37you it's up to how you build a relationship.
- 24:41But as I said, we are humans and we are looking for things in
- 24:45common, so we really have to build this emotional connection.
- 24:51That's why also I found sending a connection note with request
- 24:57really crucial because I am really interested in why this
- 25:02person want to connect with me. Or is she or he only clicking on
- 25:08the context and, and really like, yeah, getting more and
- 25:14more followers, doesn't matter who it is.
- 25:17So I'm not interested in this part in this type of people.
- 25:19I'm really interested in this connections.
- 25:22And once we, we send a connection request, usually
- 25:26people don't reply. They just click yes or no.
- 25:30And if you, if they connect with you, then I start really to get
- 25:34to know the person. And that's important to ask
- 25:37questions, but no more than one question per the end.
- 25:41Otherwise we are overheld. We don't know what to answer and
- 25:45then really to, to connect as on a, on a event.
- 25:51I say that LinkedIn is the biggest online networking event.
- 25:56So just on like on a networking event, start, start to talk to
- 26:01people, but make it about them. It's not about you.
- 26:06The focus is on the people that you would like to connect, you
- 26:11would like to get to know. And then you will see if they
- 26:14open up or know how they respond.
- 26:16And then after 2-3, the answer depends.
- 26:20You can go over to the business topic.
- 26:23But if I receive a message from someone else, like he or she
- 26:30wants to send me something, I mean, the question is they
- 26:34haven't built trust with me. Then they don't know if I have a
- 26:40challenge, a problem, if I'm looking for the solution and if
- 26:46I need the solution from them. So that's why first I need to
- 26:50get to know them. To.
- 26:52Then the aim is then to come from LinkedIn to the offline
- 26:58connection, to the call or to to meeting.
- 27:02And then I can get to know the person more, I can connect more.
- 27:07And then then that's, that's where the incredible things
- 27:12happen because then I have the person in front of me.
- 27:15I feel her or his energy. But first I have ready to find
- 27:19out more. And I mean, not everyone is
- 27:24open, not everyone is interested.
- 27:27So then they are not the right people.
- 27:29We have not the right people. Yeah, and and they do say that
- 27:33the most interesting people in the room are the ones that are
- 27:39interested in what you're saying.
- 27:41And they may not even say as much and then but they're really
- 27:46wanting, they're interested in you and that makes them so
- 27:50interesting. And when you, when you think
- 27:51about it, I mean, everybody wants to feel important.
- 27:56So maybe you writing a post and just spending all day long
- 28:01constructing posts is not going to make a person feel as
- 28:05important as when you, as you say, comment on posts and you
- 28:13know, really interact And because you're showing who you
- 28:18are. And then not to mention the
- 28:19magic in the DMS where that's when you're kind of really
- 28:26giving that opportunity to meet that person.
- 28:28But it really sounds like you're you, and correct me if I'm wrong
- 28:33here as well, that you've, you've got this kind of secret
- 28:37sauce obviously with building communities and connecting with
- 28:42people, but it sounds like you're doing it very authentic,
- 28:46one person at a time. Would that be right?
- 28:50Yeah, so it doesn't have to be one person at a time, but the
- 28:55most important is like to ask one question per DM.
- 29:00And yeah, to do it authentically, it's crucial.
- 29:04And yeah, we can't, I mean, we can't serve thousands and
- 29:08thousands of people. Perhaps we have online course
- 29:14without no interactions from our side, OK.
- 29:17But otherwise, I mean, we, we have our energy and we want to
- 29:22be the best contribution to our clients.
- 29:25And the same is on LinkedIn and DMS in comments.
- 29:29So less is more. And the focus on quality is so
- 29:33important, and focus on people and energy flows.
- 29:37The focus goes. Oh, I love that.
- 29:40That's gold. Now, you know, I always say on
- 29:43the genius sign, people quite often come from their pain.
- 29:48And you told me backstage that you went through a time in your
- 29:55life where you felt very unseen and where you felt unappreciated
- 30:01and even undervalued. And, you know, here you are now
- 30:07teaching people how to make other people feel really seen,
- 30:13appreciated and valued. You know, can you talk to me
- 30:18about what happened for you when you did move from that place of
- 30:24feeling sorry, You know, obviously deprived compared to
- 30:29now. What was the transition?
- 30:33Yeah, that's a very good question.
- 30:36Actually. It's the biggest trigger was the
- 30:41meeting with the CEO and from the company where I worked for
- 30:46and when I came or went for the first time in my life to ask for
- 30:52a pay raise. And he expected from me how much
- 30:58worse I am. And I expected it to hear it
- 31:01from him how much worse I am for him.
- 31:05But what he said me or told me that he actually didn't know
- 31:10what I'm doing. It was my direct boss, but it
- 31:15was, yeah, it was a really strange, strange meeting and
- 31:21and. Mirroring.
- 31:23It sounds like you were mirroring.
- 31:24So, you know, this is the thing. Oh gosh, I could go on about
- 31:29this forever in a day. But energy is, as you know, it's
- 31:33a frequency and a currency. So if we go into a meeting
- 31:38thinking, oh, I'm not good enough and oh, can I have a pay
- 31:41rise? Can I have a pay rise?
- 31:44It's like, why would I give you a pay rise?
- 31:47And it's almost like a, a self fulfilled prophecy, but it's,
- 31:52it's like a projection. Whereas you walk in and you have
- 31:56a sense of deserving and, and, and that sense of empowerment
- 32:01and you know, this is what I can do for you.
- 32:05You know, they say Napoleon Hill says it.
- 32:07You know, the one with the most certainty will win.
- 32:11So, you know, what did you do to switch that around?
- 32:14Was it the Joe Dispenza retreats or what on earth you know caused
- 32:19your mindset to shift? Yeah, so I have to add to this
- 32:24that you are totally right. But I told him what what I
- 32:28everything, everything what I've done.
- 32:30So I told him this outcomes, but in me inside, I didn't believe
- 32:35in myself. And this was actually, as you
- 32:38said, yeah, this was the the program actually.
- 32:43And then, yeah, I started working together with my
- 32:47mentors. Actually, my first mentor, she
- 32:50told me she saw me as entrepreneur and I told her no,
- 32:54no way, because I didn't have any savings, I didn't have a
- 32:59plan. BI didn't have entrepreneur
- 33:01experiences. But then I started working
- 33:04together with her and I found, thanks to her find my, my wife,
- 33:10my vision, vision, my vision. And I became entrepreneur.
- 33:14And I started working actually directly with my first client.
- 33:18And it was in 2021. And two years later I visited my
- 33:23first retreat from Jodie Spencer.
- 33:27And yeah, this changed my mind, my life.
- 33:30I really started to meditate with his meditations twice a
- 33:36day. And of course, from the
- 33:38beginning, I also, I was working on my LinkedIn scales.
- 33:41And since then I'm doing this. So I continually invest,
- 33:46continue investing in myself. A lot of, yeah, big amounts of
- 33:51money. But this is actually what helps
- 33:54my clients so much because on one hand, I'm updated.
- 34:00I'm I'm still on with development.
- 34:04I mean, it's developing so fast and this online world and
- 34:07everything is changing and how we think also as humans, how we
- 34:11consume online. And on the other hand, also the
- 34:16mindset, how we feel, how we think, how we act and what we
- 34:21say because it creates our life. And it's also how I changed my
- 34:24life. And that's what inspires because
- 34:29you know, if you went in and you because you're an intelligent
- 34:33woman, you know, I mean, obviously you being able to tell
- 34:38your boss. And this is the thing where they
- 34:40say that the verbalization is not always everything.
- 34:44So you might be, you know, like you said before, you know,
- 34:48people remember how you make them feel, not what you say.
- 34:52They don't really remember every word you say.
- 34:55So you could be saying the most, you know, incredibly compelling
- 35:00words that may have really good influence around the words.
- 35:07But if the energy doesn't match and deep down inside, and I
- 35:11think that's probably a huge what you inspire so many people
- 35:18because you can relate to that because you've been there before
- 35:22yourself and, you know, being able to kind of coach your
- 35:27people. And I, I will add to that.
- 35:29You shared something really important with me.
- 35:33And that is that, you know, finding the right mentors will
- 35:38accelerate your your business and your situation.
- 35:44And yet, if I may say before I hand over to you on that note,
- 35:50there are a lot of people out there that think it's OK to come
- 35:54on their online space without spending a cent.
- 35:59What business ever took off or what business can we ever run
- 36:08where it doesn't cost a cent? That's what I'd like to know.
- 36:13In fact, I was saying to my mother this morning, if people
- 36:16don't have, you know, at least enough money to invest in
- 36:22themselves, they shouldn't be doing it.
- 36:25They need to go and, you know, get a, a, a job.
- 36:28I don't mean to sound callous here, but they need to get
- 36:31something to give them the backing because we need, we need
- 36:36to treat this as a real business.
- 36:40Share with me what is so powerful about hiring?
- 36:45Obviously the right coaches and mentors.
- 36:49So as you shared, the energy is crucial.
- 36:53It's so important the people we are surrounded by and the the
- 36:59people with the same or similar mindset like like minded people.
- 37:04It's it's really inspiring and I found when it comes to hiring
- 37:09the right mentor and coach, it's so important when you exchange
- 37:16with the person on a call beforehand, how you connect with
- 37:20the person because I mean, the people, they can tell you that
- 37:25yeah, they get so many results for others and so on.
- 37:29But all we all are different and what's what's working from, from
- 37:35someone else doesn't mean that it's working for you and it's
- 37:39wise. It's so important that it's
- 37:42really done for you. It's with your alignment with,
- 37:47aligned with your values that's so crucial.
- 37:51And that also you are ready to put the work in it.
- 37:54Because if you think, yeah, the person will do everything for
- 37:57me, then OK, you can do it. You can hire a host, right?
- 38:01And you are doing, yeah, almost nothing.
- 38:04But it's not your energy. So it's it's so important to to
- 38:09be aware of what you you want, you really want also achieve.
- 38:14And how is the person you want to hire as a coach as a mentor?
- 38:19How her or his values and how it's in alignment with you, with
- 38:26your values, with your energy? That's, that's absolutely
- 38:31amazing. Thank you so much for sharing
- 38:33that. And you know, I'm gonna ask you
- 38:36now about your 3 pillars and you know, obviously just to kind of
- 38:43list them off according to what you have told me and then you
- 38:48can open it up is treat your profile like a, a business card
- 38:53and a landing page. So I'll get you to go into that
- 38:55in a moment, make it visual, magnetic and clearly communicate
- 39:00your value and have strong headlines clarity because that
- 39:05equals instant authority. So would you like to teach us on
- 39:10treating the profile like a business card and landing page?
- 39:16Yeah. So as I said, it all starts with
- 39:19the strategies that we have this clarity about our goals, target
- 39:22audience and topics on LinkedIn. And then the LinkedIn, of
- 39:28course, if people are searching for you on Google or also in the
- 39:32AI, there is LinkedIn coming up. So it's also so important to use
- 39:37the rest key keywords and so on. So this is also one one point,
- 39:41but LinkedIn is really as a landing page or your business
- 39:47card. It means that everyone is
- 39:51ambassador of a company and doesn't mean that you are, for
- 39:56example, employee. You are also an ambassador of
- 39:59the company where we are working for.
- 40:01So everyone is an ambassador of a company.
- 40:06Either it's your company or it's you are an employee.
- 40:09You are ambassador of the company where I where are you an
- 40:11employee? And it means that you don't have
- 40:15to put everything that you have in your CV on your LinkedIn
- 40:21profile. It should be a long key
- 40:23strategy. It should be in alignment
- 40:26because people come to a profile and they want to know and to
- 40:30understand quickly who you are, what are values, how you can
- 40:35help them, what are the the results, the benefits for them,
- 40:39what's in it for me? Like a person who is coming to a
- 40:45profile and as well, where can they contact you?
- 40:48They don't want to really search for it.
- 40:51They want to get it immediately. They want to understand it
- 40:55immediately and that's why that's.
- 40:59That's that's really good. So, so this is like a master
- 41:06class right here and now. So guys, make sure you are
- 41:11writing this down. And I just want to add to that.
- 41:15All of Sarkar's details will be in the show notes, so feel free
- 41:20to contact her through that. And you know, this is amazing.
- 41:26So now making it visual, magnetic and clearly
- 41:29communicating. I guess you've pretty much
- 41:32almost covered that with the first one, but is there anything
- 41:37you'd like to add to that? Yeah, the important importance
- 41:42of building a personal but also an employer brand, it's not only
- 41:47what we say, what we communicate, the words, the
- 41:50text, but also the visuals, because the visuals are building
- 41:55also our brands, it means the pictures, the the banner and and
- 42:01all the stuff that we share, the cursor post and so on.
- 42:04So be aware or so how you communicate visually because the
- 42:09humans also reconnect with images.
- 42:13It's also emotional. So this is also a crucial part.
- 42:18And yeah, as I mentioned, building a strong communities is
- 42:23a crucial part as well. And also be aware how people
- 42:27read online. So first of all, Howlington
- 42:30works because it's social media platform, but it works
- 42:33differently as Meta platforms, as TikTok.
- 42:38And so understand the platform, but also be aware of how we
- 42:43humans read online, how we think.
- 42:47So how is the human psychology? So that's why also how you will
- 42:52write your posts that people feel attracted to it and also
- 42:58what you share. So the value every time, also on
- 43:01a profile, the value for your target audience is crucial.
- 43:06Beautiful and of course strong headlines give instant
- 43:13authority. Do you have any suggestions of,
- 43:17you know, people might not know how to do that, but they that
- 43:22that's where that's how all the journalists and if you look at
- 43:26if you go into Facebook these days, they write some of the
- 43:30biggest rubbish about celebrities and you know what's
- 43:34going on, but they're doing it for click bait.
- 43:38But perhaps you can explain to us you know about writing a
- 43:42strong headline and any tips that you may have.
- 43:47Yeah, that's a very good question because the attention
- 43:49span is going shorter and becoming shorter and shorter.
- 43:54So we have to catch people's attention at the beginning from
- 44:00the post. It means in the headlines.
- 44:02It's the same in the newspaper, for example as well.
- 44:05So the headlines are so important and then we have to
- 44:07keep the attention. And Linksys shows the first 3
- 44:11lines, but our brains say, say they, they did they see or they,
- 44:23they perceive it better if there's like one line and then
- 44:26the space and then one line is better to read.
- 44:30And so these, these are the three lines that we can actually
- 44:33see. And we see also the picture of
- 44:36the video or the, the, the graphic infographic, whatever we
- 44:40put in there. And yeah, the most of the people
- 44:43just scrolling down. So that's why we have to catch
- 44:47people's attention and to hold it.
- 44:49And the headlines actually are also promise what is supposed
- 44:55about, because if we don't talk afterwards about it, people are
- 44:58disappointed and we don't have their attention as well.
- 45:02And also it's important to, to create this, this curiosity, to
- 45:12create this empathy, to empathise with people, because
- 45:15if people feel, Oh yeah, I can relate to this, Oh, I feel in
- 45:19that way or just make me curious.
- 45:22Then we click on more and to, to read more.
- 45:26And LinkedIn is still platform where people like to read.
- 45:32So that's why the text is also important as well as they're
- 45:36pushing Windows and and they want to push Windows more next
- 45:40year, but as in 2026. But yeah, it's still the the
- 45:45picture and the text is still really important on on LinkedIn.
- 45:49Very important. Well, that's, that's good
- 45:52insight right there. And I'm, I'm very aware that I,
- 45:56I want to kind of really go through and, and give, give you
- 46:00this opportunity to kind of unpack a little bit about asking
- 46:06me some questions. Because when you ask me the
- 46:09questions, then our audience can imagine those questions being
- 46:14also aimed to them. And that's kind of the bit of
- 46:17the magic that happens here. But I am going to talk about how
- 46:23we need to take the focus. And this is your obviously your
- 46:29teaching. How do we take the focus off our
- 46:32own insecurities? And the answer you gave me was
- 46:38nothing short of profound. So if we're taking our focus
- 46:43off, you know, our my own fear, like of showing up and not
- 46:49getting it right, where do I put my focus then?
- 46:54Yeah, that's, that's very important because yeah, our
- 46:57energy goes with our focus goes where energy flows.
- 47:01So it's it's so important. And many clients that come to
- 47:06me, they tell me I don't want to promote myself.
- 47:10And that's that's amazing because I tell them, yeah,
- 47:13LinkedIn is about helping inspiring others.
- 47:16It's not about you. But of course they want to see
- 47:20your picture because they want to see who is behind this
- 47:25business most how this person saying what are his her values.
- 47:31So if you make this shift from it's about me too, it's about
- 47:39helping my target audience, helping my community, inspiring
- 47:43them, then it will be easy for you to come out of the comfort
- 47:50zone and to be open to share your expertise, your unique
- 47:54experiences, because we can find almost everything on Google, on
- 48:00AI. But if you share your experience
- 48:04is expertise, it's unique. Every person is unique and
- 48:08that's how you can inspire others and help them.
- 48:12And what I'm really, really hearing is it's really not about
- 48:17you as the coach. And while we're all getting so
- 48:21caught up in our own insecurities, we've got to come
- 48:25back. And what you know, you're really
- 48:29emphasizing on is being what what is in it for them?
- 48:33What can you give them? And really the only reason, as
- 48:39you say, that they do want to see the face.
- 48:41They're wanting it for their own curiosity, you know, so they
- 48:44want to know who am I speaking to?
- 48:47So I love that. So you would say take the focus
- 48:50off your own insecurity and put it on to the other person?
- 48:53Focus it on. Yes.
- 48:56And the the yeah, every time you think about the value that you
- 48:59would like to deliver. And one important thing is that
- 49:04people forget what you posted or commented yesterday or two weeks
- 49:09ago, one month ago, but they never forget topics that you are
- 49:13standing for. And it's so important that you
- 49:17have your content strategy as well and you are aware of if you
- 49:22are reposting something. I'm not so fan of reposting
- 49:27except it's your company page. But to be aware of your
- 49:34expertise, to do a sharing of your thoughts and also where you
- 49:38are commenting on. And what if you are imposing
- 49:41what you are imposing, what you are talking about?
- 49:44Because then you will position yourself as a thought leader, as
- 49:49an expert in your industry. That's that's really important
- 49:54because I think there's just too many people out there.
- 49:57They're sometimes afraid to share their thoughts, but in
- 50:01actual fact, it's, it's their thoughts that really produce the
- 50:05values, isn't it? And I, I like the fact that you
- 50:09do emphasize on that thought leadership because it's, you
- 50:14know, important. So if you had a few questions,
- 50:17let's, let's bring the let's bring the fire, the secret sauce
- 50:22to some good questions that you may have for me now.
- 50:26So we'll flip it over to you and you know, I don't have a huge
- 50:33big following or a lot of experience in LinkedIn.
- 50:40So help me out here. What you know, spending just a
- 50:45maybe a, a couple of minutes because we're drawing to a
- 50:49close. But what would you be asking me?
- 50:52What kind of questions? What would you do in order to
- 50:58really help me find my way? Yeah, So usually before I start
- 51:03working together with my clients, not usually, but every
- 51:06time I sent them a questionnaire where I asked them about why
- 51:11mission, mission, target audience, challenges of the
- 51:14target audience, but to, to, to suggest them personal as
- 51:19LinkedIn strategy. But now I would like to go
- 51:23straight because of of the time, I would like to go with you
- 51:27straight to the questions about your LinkedIn strategy to to
- 51:32define and reach you here. So I will start with first
- 51:37question. So what are your goals with
- 51:39LinkedIn? OK, my goals would be to connect
- 51:45with people who have got that passion to turn their pain to
- 51:55power. So for example, with yourself,
- 51:59you had those feelings of being unseen and now look at you.
- 52:04Now you are helping so many people.
- 52:09That's what you know. That's what I am really looking
- 52:13for and bringing them into the show.
- 52:15Sometimes they're not always coaches, healers and leaders,
- 52:19but LinkedIn certainly is a really good place to find
- 52:23passionate people. But that is the prerequisite
- 52:26that they do have a passion that is quite genuine.
- 52:30And there was a pain that they turned to their power and
- 52:34because of that, they want to change the world.
- 52:37And that helps me with my vision as well of transforming
- 52:411,000,000 lives by the year 2028.
- 52:44That's amazing. Thank you for sharing.
- 52:46And yeah, so then I would like to make it shorter.
- 52:52I will say, OK, so though your goal is to connect with the
- 52:55right people to bring them to your show and yeah, to yeah,
- 53:04also also the the visibility I would say, or the personal brand
- 53:08also is will be your your goal, I would say.
- 53:12Do you agree? Yes, look, absolutely.
- 53:16I do feel that that's a very big alignment with you that I want
- 53:21people to feel visible and heard.
- 53:23Yes, definitely. OK.
- 53:25Then the second question is who is your target audience?
- 53:29I mean, you mentioned it already, but specifically so you
- 53:34were talking about people. But I think you are not only
- 53:38focused on women or who is the target audience.
- 53:41Oh yeah. Women and men, I mean, when I
- 53:44first began out, because I was a hypnotherapist and you know,
- 53:48training in NLP and all of that, it was all about healing
- 53:53people's trauma. It was all about the work that I
- 53:56do, like, you know, the mixture of Anthony Robbins with NLP and
- 54:00Joe Dispenser with hypnosis. So I was, nobody ever came to me
- 54:06once soccer and said I want to be successful, I want to be
- 54:10rich, I want to have a great relationship and I want to just
- 54:14be happy. No one ever said that.
- 54:16No one. Everybody came because they said
- 54:21I've got this addiction or I feel this way or this is what's
- 54:26happening. But people, what I learned are
- 54:30not their emotions. They are not the things that
- 54:33they did or they're not the sum of, you know what their emotions
- 54:39are. They were the sum of who they
- 54:42became after they healed themself.
- 54:46And that brings me to really understanding that those people
- 54:52were generally people who then stepped into their sole purpose.
- 54:58So they really, even though they never came and asked for that,
- 55:02they stepped into it. They stepped into who they were
- 55:05born to be, if that makes any sense.
- 55:07Mm hmm. Yes.
- 55:10So the the point is that we have to find them on LinkedIn.
- 55:15And yeah, there are different ways to find them.
- 55:18One of them is to put like some keywords in the search search
- 55:23bar or so you can search also in in events and in the groups or
- 55:28you find people in for example, in comments.
- 55:33You can also go through your post with liking there if you're
- 55:36not connecting a connected or also to go to your your the
- 55:41people you already had on your show and go to to their there
- 55:47and they post and they comments and and yeah and comment there
- 55:52and then connect with people. But if you want to put it in
- 55:56search bar, so could you say like those are leaders or what
- 56:05would be their position? They are definitely leaders, but
- 56:10I feel like they're almost leading from the back and they
- 56:16are coming, you know, beside people and they are really
- 56:22building a lot of rapport and they're quite humble because of
- 56:28their background. And even they do have those self
- 56:33worth issues that you spoke to me about and even the fear of
- 56:38failure and stuff like that. And I do find that that's that's
- 56:42quite, very, very big for most of the people that come on here
- 56:47because we have very similar backgrounds in some way in our
- 56:52value system. So yes, there's definitely a
- 56:56likeness between you and I, even though it's completely
- 57:01different. So you are the person like my
- 57:05community, who love me will love you because they they'll go
- 57:10well, we want to know how to make an impact.
- 57:13So when this drops on Friday night at 7:00 PM, they're going
- 57:17to go after it because we're going to find out what the
- 57:21secret source of really making headway on LinkedIn is.
- 57:26Yeah, that's amazing. Thank you so much for sharing.
- 57:28I love that. Yeah.
- 57:29So I think perhaps you could search more for for the keywords
- 57:33than for people's positions. Of course, you can search for
- 57:36for leaders as well and then goes through their profiles to
- 57:39connect with people. And 1st I will, I would comment
- 57:42first, but you could also search for, for topics that and then
- 57:48you can share a see. So you will put your keywords.
- 57:52That's why keywords are getting more and more important.
- 57:55And you will see who LinkedIn will will show you, shows you
- 58:00when you put this keyword. So that's actually how you could
- 58:03find your target audience. So another important thing is
- 58:08the region. So from region, which region are
- 58:11you targeting? OK, well, I'm global.
- 58:16I'm definitely very, very global.
- 58:19I do seem to have found that a lot of people from Europe and
- 58:25the US, you know, more so than people in my own hometown, which
- 58:30is very strange. Yeah, that's cool.
- 58:34That's amazing. And that's also the power of
- 58:35LinkedIn. For example, I met Aceo from the
- 58:38village where I live and thanks to LinkedIn I would never met
- 58:43him in person. But then we connected.
- 58:46We wrote the answer and he told me to to meet for lunch and the
- 58:50first thing he told me, I know you, he never commented, never
- 58:54liked my post, but he read everything and he became my
- 58:57client. But I would never met him in
- 59:00real life. So thanks to LinkedIn, it, it
- 59:03was bad. Yeah.
- 59:05So for you, I would say yeah, like your main focus is Europe,
- 59:10US and Australia, I would say yes.
- 59:14Europe, yes. US and Australia, yes.
- 59:17Yes, for the target audience. And the third question is what
- 59:22are the topics you would like to be known for, where you would
- 59:25like or where you share your expertise, your experiences
- 59:29added, you would like to be remember and make impact?
- 59:33Yes, beautiful question. Wow.
- 59:36And of course, people, you, you know, when you get to sit in
- 59:39front of this amazing person, Saka, she's going to give you
- 59:44the time to think about it. And she's probably not going to
- 59:48expect you to know straight off. For me, I'm, I'm gonna cheat a
- 59:54little bit and I'm gonna go with my 5 master keys because even
- 59:59though, yes, it's, it's all about becoming that greatest
- 1:00:04version of you and embracing your adversities and challenges
- 1:00:10and really almost channeling them into your power.
- 1:00:16But health and billion dollar energy, I call it billion dollar
- 1:00:20energy, is master key #1. One master key number 2 is
- 1:00:24recoding your relationships because quite often people are
- 1:00:29wounded because of the way that they were brought up, the way
- 1:00:33that what the words that they heard and relationships have a
- 1:00:37big impact around that. So I definitely work through
- 1:00:41that #3 which you know very well about which it's a self worth,
- 1:00:47which also falls under prosperity because you know,
- 1:00:52people don't value the, you know, you gave a classic story
- 1:00:56going to your boss to ask for a pay rise, right?
- 1:01:00But today you'd probably go in there and he'd probably throw
- 1:01:03the pay rise at you. He'd want to give it to you.
- 1:01:06So then there's #4 hello, we're here now the genius zone, which
- 1:01:11is the genius zone. Every person that comes on the
- 1:01:16show, how they have transmuted their painter power.
- 1:01:20And then then the last one is legacy.
- 1:01:22So I feel like maybe summarising it legacy leaders.
- 1:01:29That's amazing. So, yeah.
- 1:01:31So it's important that we have like some business topics and
- 1:01:34also something like like personal that are perhaps our
- 1:01:39our personal, yeah, person skills or something like this.
- 1:01:48But you make everything, you put everything together.
- 1:01:52So I love the topics and yeah, it's, it's yeah, I really love
- 1:01:56it. And it's important that you stay
- 1:01:58with them and said you communicate everything you told
- 1:02:02me about also regarding your target audience and the topics
- 1:02:07you communicated on your profile and also in your post in the
- 1:02:14comments. And every time you are aware of
- 1:02:19aware of it. And of course, I mean, you can
- 1:02:21connect also with people who are perhaps not exactly a target
- 1:02:27audience, but you never know, Perhaps those people have their
- 1:02:31followers and they could be your target audience.
- 1:02:34So that's why it's important to be I found little bit open, but
- 1:02:39of course, every time to think if I get some connection
- 1:02:43requests with this person, I go through the profile.
- 1:02:46What is is there an inspiration for me?
- 1:02:49Should I connect or no like really to to focus on the
- 1:02:52quality. But yeah, amazing that.
- 1:02:56Was awesome. Thank you so much.
- 1:02:57I have really learnt so much and also the opportunity of building
- 1:03:04community. I I love that so much.
- 1:03:06So my my last question to you, is there anything you want to
- 1:03:10emphasize on that you've already said or something that you would
- 1:03:15love to say to that person who's out there and they're going to
- 1:03:18hear this and they're just going to go.
- 1:03:20Oh yes, thank you. Is there anything that you feel
- 1:03:23on your mind you'd like to share?
- 1:03:26So first of all, thank you so much, Jerry.
- 1:03:28I really appreciate it. I enjoyed it so much.
- 1:03:31Thank you also for sharing your story.
- 1:03:33And I was just just say believe in yourself.
- 1:03:37It's it's actually it's easy to say, but hard to hard to do.
- 1:03:42But just start today and like think about think you, you
- 1:03:47thinks you have achieved, you have realised and be grateful
- 1:03:51for that and write it down. Write it down and feel the
- 1:03:54gratitude. And then write down your goals
- 1:03:57with this gratitude as if they already happened, as if you
- 1:04:02already achieved them and throw and decide from the state where
- 1:04:09you would like to be in. So ask yourself, how would I as
- 1:04:17a person, I would like to be decide not from the state today,
- 1:04:21but I don't have the money, I don't have the time.
- 1:04:24But aside from the state where you would like to be in, does
- 1:04:28this bring me further? Does this will help me?
- 1:04:31And if yes, you will find every time the money that you were you
- 1:04:35were created. But it doesn't have to be the
- 1:04:38lack the the scarcity mindset. It should be abandoned mindset.
- 1:04:43It brings you forward. Wow, I love that.
- 1:04:46Thank you so much. I'm glad I asked that question.
- 1:04:49And to find Saka, please go into the show notes.
- 1:04:54I mean, it's not rocket science that if you do want to find this
- 1:04:59amazing person, simply go to LinkedIn, probably where you
- 1:05:04hang out the most, obviously, right, Being that.
- 1:05:07Absolutely. And I mean, since you have been
- 1:05:10interviewed by Forbes and, you know, you've been on TEDx, you
- 1:05:15know, what can I say other than I am deeply honoured to have you
- 1:05:19on the show. So thank you so much.
- 1:05:22And I'm so grateful to be here and thank you very much for
- 1:05:24listening and connect. Please connect with me.
- 1:05:27I will be happy to exchange with you.
- 1:05:29Thank you so much.
