- 0:29Speaker 1: wouldn't you know it, these crazy more moms are going
- 0:32Speaker 1: on another road trip, another one up to Billin's Montana
- 0:36Speaker 1: or something like that. But on the way there's gonna
- 0:38Speaker 1: be some drama and a meltdown from your favorite in mine,
- 0:43Speaker 1: Christine and I can't wait to get into the recap.
- 0:46Speaker 1: But before we do, we do have an issue you
- 0:48Speaker 1: a disclaimer. Please hid your wife and hyd your kids.

- 1:16Speaker 1: gets sprayed with the septic, then welcome to this dumpster.
- 1:22Speaker 2: And if you would like to crowdsource for our future

- 1:58Speaker 1: star or something. So yeah, it really helps in the algorithm, allegedly,
- 2:04Speaker 1: and so thank you in thank you. Now, before we
- 2:09Speaker 1: get into this recap, Beatrice, I have to ask you,
- 2:12Speaker 1: as I always do, like, what was your takeaway after
- 2:15Speaker 1: watching the big argument between Cody and Christine.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I'm team Christine, Okay, that's my takeaway.
- 2:22Speaker 1: She wasn't annoying.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Though, I mean, she's always annoying, but Cody was annoying too,
- 2:27Speaker 2: and I feel like he just always invalidates her feelings
- 2:30Speaker 2: and I think that was the crux of the argument
- 2:33Speaker 2: wasn't necessarily so much about Ken per se. It was
- 2:35Speaker 2: about the fact that Cody just doesn't give a shit
- 2:39Speaker 2: about Christine's feelings whatsoever.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I mean, at some point you've got to let it go. Yeah, Like,
- 2:45Speaker 1: this man is not moving, this man does not care
- 2:47Speaker 1: about you. He's gonna do what he wants to do anyway.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So why are we still why are we on the
- 2:52Speaker 1: third segment where we're still arguing the same exact points.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I was get died.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Well, it's because their marriage is falling apart.
- 2:58Speaker 1: It really is right now apart.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Now my takeaway has nothing to do with Christine and Cody.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It has to do with Maddie because, of course, on
- 3:07Speaker 1: one of the stops during this road trip, the entire
- 3:09Speaker 1: family stops at Maddie's new apartment in Utah. Where was
- 3:14Speaker 1: it somewhere in Utah. I don't know Memphi, I don't
- 3:16Speaker 1: know Nympho, who cares Utah? Anyway, they all stop there,
- 3:20Speaker 1: they all check out her apartment, and then when she's
- 3:22Speaker 1: out with Cody talking and having their one on one
- 3:25Speaker 1: like Christine and Mary rearrange her kitchen.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Oh did that bother you?
- 3:29Speaker 1: I was triggered eight f like they literally took her utensil, yes,
- 3:35Speaker 1: her cooking implements and moved them around, changed drawers, made
- 3:40Speaker 1: like did something with her bed, and she like, get
- 3:43Speaker 1: your grubby paws off of mationit. Plus she just moved
- 3:46Speaker 1: in for she organized it exactly the way she wanted it.
- 3:50Speaker 1: As a Taurus, that would have sent me to the stratosphere.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I would have been getting the brass knuckles and we
- 3:56Speaker 1: would have been fighting.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I thought about you during that scene. I'm like, oh, dear, would.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Have hated you wouldn't be upset.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Well, I mean I'd be annoyed, but like this is
- 4:05Speaker 2: their family, so I think Maddie was like, oh whatever,
- 4:08Speaker 2: they're just practical jokers. I would not do that. Like
- 4:12Speaker 2: if this was my kid, I would never do that
- 4:14Speaker 2: as like a prank. I probably would leave like little
- 4:16Speaker 2: figurines or something around the house, or like some pechuli
- 4:19Speaker 2: bottles around them.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yikes, just kidding. Yeah, I just I was triggered. Yeah,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I didn't like that at all.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I wonder how Maddie actually felt about that. I wonder
- 4:30Speaker 2: if she was like, fuck.
- 4:31Speaker 1: These people, Probably she doesn't want to see them anymore. Yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 1: could do that now, Thank you for stopping by, but
- 4:36Speaker 1: you get on out all right. Well, good thoughts, Yeah,
- 4:41Speaker 1: good talk. Without further ado, let's get into our recap
- 4:45Speaker 1: this week of Sister Wives, Season eight, Episode two entttled
- 4:49Speaker 1: a family meltdown. We are gonna have a meltdown. It's
- 4:53Speaker 1: a legitimate argument, yep.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And it's actually a two parter because we continue the
- 4:58Speaker 2: argument and the trip in the next episode when they
- 5:01Speaker 2: finally make it to Montana and Christine is still throwing
- 5:05Speaker 2: a fit. But we start off the episode getting ready
- 5:09Speaker 2: for this ultimate trip, and they're going to drive up
- 5:12Speaker 2: to Montana to meet some random polygamists, the Colliers.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Here we go together pair.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Of degenerates or a trio of degenerates who are thinking
- 5:21Speaker 2: about taking on a third wife. And so Cody's like, perfect,
- 5:25Speaker 2: more content for our show. Let's go meet them. And
- 5:29Speaker 2: on the way to Montana, they're going to stop several times.
- 5:33Speaker 2: They're going to stop in Saint George. They're going to
- 5:35Speaker 2: stop in Utah to visit Maddie, and then visit Christine's
- 5:38Speaker 2: mom and their old Lee High house, and then they
- 5:41Speaker 2: ultimately go see the Colliers. But while they're prepping for
- 5:44Speaker 2: this trip, everything is tense already because they're chaotic, they're late,
- 5:51Speaker 2: they can't pack for shit. I just like if I
- 5:55Speaker 2: was in this family, I would constantly be stressed all
- 5:58Speaker 2: the time. Oh yeah, every single trip of theirs is
- 6:01Speaker 2: always a shit show.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and they don't learn from their mistakes. They're always
- 6:06Speaker 1: trying to leave at like eight am in the morning.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I know, we're getting four thousand people into the RV's,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know, at the crack of dawn, Like, maybe adjust
- 6:14Speaker 1: your expectations a little bit so everyone's not so totally
- 6:17Speaker 1: stressed out. Plus everybody's got some actual sleep. But no,
- 6:21Speaker 1: we've got to get on the road at eight and
- 6:23Speaker 1: we're not going to make that deadline. So by the
- 6:25Speaker 1: time they get on the road, it's almost eleven o'clock.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Everybody's pissed and it's a bummer. Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I would be so bummed on every single trip, like
- 6:33Speaker 2: get me out of here. But before they start the trip,
- 6:36Speaker 2: we have like a little blurb from Janelle thank you,
- 6:39Speaker 2: talking about how she met with their family counselor Nancy,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and apparently she realized she needs to do some more
- 6:45Speaker 2: work and some more hill in with her family relationship,
- 6:49Speaker 2: specifically her relationship with Mary and she's gonna have to
- 6:54Speaker 2: work up the courage to talk to Mary about their
- 6:57Speaker 2: relationship and talking about working through some things, but we
- 7:00Speaker 2: don't want to do it. She's nervous about it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question? Like this just feels
- 7:04Speaker 1: like such a non sequitor, Like I'm being blindsided, Like
- 7:08Speaker 1: I know that there's issues and that there have been
- 7:12Speaker 1: historic issues between Janelle and Mary, but like there was
- 7:15Speaker 1: no run up to this, There was no context, like
- 7:18Speaker 1: they've been fighting or they've been talking, they've been trying
- 7:21Speaker 1: to talk through their issues. Therefore, Janelle's sought out Nancy
- 7:25Speaker 1: to help her navigate that. All of a sudden, we
- 7:27Speaker 1: just have this one minute talking ahead of Janelle saying, oh, yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 1: by the way, we're on a road trip. But you know,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I've got this issue that I need to deal with
- 7:35Speaker 1: with Mary and I'm seeing Nancy about it, and then
- 7:37Speaker 1: we never talk about it again in this episode. Yea,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I presume this is going to come up and they're
- 7:42Speaker 1: going to have to like go to therapy and we're
- 7:43Speaker 1: going to see that bullshit. But it was just so
- 7:45Speaker 1: weird how that was edited, Like what am I missing?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah? No, I agree. I thought it was very randomly placed.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I'm like, why are we talking about it now? They
- 7:53Speaker 2: do ultimately work on their relationship a little bit through
- 7:57Speaker 2: Nancy and through therapy, and it is kind of interesting,
- 8:01Speaker 2: but we know ultimately doesn't really go anywhere. Like fast
- 8:05Speaker 2: forward now to present day, it's like they're not even
- 8:07Speaker 2: talking to each other now. So all of that work
- 8:10Speaker 2: did nothing.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And let me just make a prediction, having not seen
- 8:14Speaker 1: these therapy sessions, Like I think I saw some after
- 8:19Speaker 1: the Catfish with Cody and Mary, but I didn't see
- 8:21Speaker 1: anything with Janelle and Mary. But I'm just gonna predict
- 8:23Speaker 1: that Mary's walls are gonna be up yep, and she's
- 8:26Speaker 1: gonna be unable to articulate her actual issues with Janelle,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and that Janelle, also, being the stubborn torus that she is,
- 8:34Speaker 1: is not She's gonna, I don't know, she's going to
- 8:35Speaker 1: be intimidated, she's not gonna feel free to say the
- 8:38Speaker 1: things that she truly wants to say, and we're not
- 8:40Speaker 1: gonna get anywhere in therapy. Does that sound about right? Yeah?
- 8:45Speaker 2: I know it's almost like you're a fake psychic, thank you.
- 8:48Speaker 2: But yeah, So we have that blurb from Janelle and
- 8:50Speaker 2: then we just bought back on over to the RV chaos.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Everybody gets ready, they go on the road, and they're
- 8:58Speaker 2: on their way to their first stop, which is in
- 9:00Speaker 2: Saint George, Utah, where they meet with some guy named Chris.
- 9:04Speaker 1: He's the pawn shop guy. He's the pawn shop guy
- 9:06Speaker 1: where McKelty ultimately goes to work when we are introduced
- 9:09Speaker 1: to too many tacos, Tony exactly. And I think we
- 9:13Speaker 1: went through this shop on the way to Nauvoo. Didn't
- 9:15Speaker 1: We didn't have like some art. It looked familiar, like
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm young or something like that, and we had to
- 9:21Speaker 1: spend some time going over Mormon memorabilia. I think this
- 9:24Speaker 1: is the same guy. And I don't know why we're
- 9:26Speaker 1: here other than to set up some phony ass conversation
- 9:31Speaker 1: between Cody and this guy where Cody is asking for
- 9:35Speaker 1: essentially alone, because the investors just to refresh everybody, those
- 9:40Speaker 1: investors that they shark tanked and made a pitch to
- 9:43Speaker 1: have not actually funded their investment and are not returning
- 9:47Speaker 1: the calls for Cody and Robin, and so I guess
- 9:50Speaker 1: their bright idea is to hit up their friend Chris
- 9:53Speaker 1: and Saint George and ask for fifty to one hundred
- 9:56Speaker 1: thousand dollars in a line of credit. Yeah, they fund
- 10:00Speaker 1: Robin's vision for the family. And strangely this Chris guy's like, yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I mean what's the collateral though, And the collateral is
- 10:12Speaker 1: their inventory, which already doesn't sell. Yeah, how is that
- 10:17Speaker 1: actual collateral? It would be cars, it would be actual assets.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This isn't an asset. So this whole thing felt fake.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It felt like Cody was trying to present to the
- 10:29Speaker 1: audience like, look, there are people who are willing to
- 10:31Speaker 1: give us loans and help us with our very viable business,
- 10:35Speaker 1: but behind the scenes, there's not an actual loan and
- 10:38Speaker 1: this is not getting funded. That was my impression.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because he's asking him about the line of credit,
- 10:43Speaker 2: like in the public space of the pawn shop, while
- 10:47Speaker 2: Chris is behind the counter talking to him about like
- 10:49Speaker 2: polygamous paintings and stuff, and I'm just like, okay, we're
- 10:52Speaker 2: just gonna try and have a business deal. Oh, by
- 10:54Speaker 2: the way, Yeah, and Cody the way he brought it
- 10:57Speaker 2: up to because I think Chris was like, well, what
- 10:59Speaker 2: is going to be collateral? Cod He's like, well, I guess,
- 11:02Speaker 2: like maybe the inventory or something else. He brought up
- 11:04Speaker 2: like the business itself, like the LLC, and I'm just like, Okay,
- 11:08Speaker 2: it's worthless.
- 11:09Speaker 1: This doesn't make any sense, not at all.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And why are you asking your supposed friend for a
- 11:15Speaker 2: line of credit, Like you're not gonna pay this dude back.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I feel like this is what they do though they
- 11:20Speaker 2: just ask for lines of credit, they ask for debt.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Then they'll declare bankruptcy or whatever, and then they'll just
- 11:26Speaker 2: move on over to the next thing, like this is
- 11:28Speaker 2: just part of their mo.
- 11:29Speaker 1: But this is presumably your friend, So are you going
- 11:32Speaker 1: to be defrauding your friend? And it wouldn't it be
- 11:35Speaker 1: weird if they still owed this guy money ten years
- 11:39Speaker 1: later or whatever, because if he actually loaned the Browns
- 11:42Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars for my sister wife's closet, which
- 11:45Speaker 1: we know was never profitable, then that guy just threw
- 11:48Speaker 1: good money after bad and he's never seeing a scent of.
- 11:51Speaker 2: That back unless he sues them, unless.
- 11:53Speaker 1: They go to jail, which we would have heard about
- 11:55Speaker 1: because we've got raccoons that are sniffing in the dumpster.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Ye I would have known about it, definitely. But this
- 12:01Speaker 2: whole scene was kind of a non sequitor besides the
- 12:04Speaker 2: my Sister Wives closet line of credit thing. Then Chris
- 12:08Speaker 2: goes and shows them some weird polgamist art with this
- 12:11Speaker 2: guy with five wives, and they talk about bringing this
- 12:14Speaker 2: art to the Colliers as like some kind of gift
- 12:17Speaker 2: or something, and we see a little moment between Cody
- 12:20Speaker 2: and Christine where Christine's annoyed with Cody about this artwork
- 12:26Speaker 2: or something. It's all this is to show that Christine
- 12:29Speaker 2: is just already irritated.
- 12:31Speaker 1: She's already irritated before they do their road trip. But
- 12:34Speaker 1: it was over like if the Colliers didn't want this
- 12:37Speaker 1: piece of art, which was called the Fifth Wife, which
- 12:40Speaker 1: depicts the Mormon hus been bringing in the Fifth Wife
- 12:43Speaker 1: who's dressed in all these beautiful clothes, and then you've
- 12:45Speaker 1: got the four other wives who look, you know, like
- 12:47Speaker 1: they've been working real hard. Honey, that's what the art is.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And Christine says something like, well, if they don't want this,
- 12:54Speaker 1: because are these Colliers Mormons? I don't know. It wasn't
- 12:58Speaker 1: really a stabulish Yeah, I don't know either. Anyway, if
- 13:01Speaker 1: they don't like this piece of art, then Christine's like, well,
- 13:03Speaker 1: one of us should hang it in our home, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think Cody said, well, you would be the most
- 13:10Speaker 1: bitter if we brought in a fifth wife, so you
- 13:12Speaker 1: should hang it in your home, and Christine says something like,
- 13:15Speaker 1: don't start with me. Yeah, like there was some tension there.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It was a little odd.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Definitely, it seems like they've been in an era of
- 13:22Speaker 2: fighting with each other for a while now and now
- 13:26Speaker 2: it's starting to bubble up to the surface, which ultimately
- 13:28Speaker 2: ultimately leads to Christine's meltdown later in this episode. That's
- 13:33Speaker 2: just my vibe. But after Saint George and getting their
- 13:37Speaker 2: line of credit, which is totally fake and booty, then
- 13:40Speaker 2: they arrive at some RV park in Nephi, Nephi, Utah wherever.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And this is where we have Cody saying something about
- 13:49Speaker 2: his sleeping arrangements because originally he was going to stay
- 13:52Speaker 2: in the hotel with I think maybe Robin or Mary.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And then when they get to the campground, Cody's like, actually,
- 13:59Speaker 2: this campground is pretty, so I'm gonna sleep in one
- 14:01Speaker 2: of the RV's tonight. And Christine is the one to say, oh, Cody,
- 14:06Speaker 2: you've created some tension with more than one of your wives,
- 14:10Speaker 2: which I don't really know what she's referring to with that,
- 14:13Speaker 2: because I'm thinking she means her, or maybe she means Robin,
- 14:17Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Well, see, if it was the motel or the hotel
- 14:23Speaker 1: that he was going to spend the night in, that
- 14:25Speaker 1: would indicate to me that he was either going to
- 14:27Speaker 1: stay with Robin, who likes to stay at a hotel,
- 14:30Speaker 1: or Mary, who's typically with Robin when she stays at
- 14:33Speaker 1: the hotel. So my guess is that he's not going
- 14:35Speaker 1: to spend the night with Mary because if it was
- 14:37Speaker 1: Robin's night, he'd be there. So he's going to not
- 14:41Speaker 1: spend that night with Mary, and he's going to stay
- 14:43Speaker 1: somewhere in the RV park, probably with Janelle because by
- 14:45Speaker 1: this point we can tell he hates Christine. Yeah, and
- 14:48Speaker 1: so Christine, I don't know. Christine's like, well, this is
- 14:51Speaker 1: going to cause problems. We don't know if it ever does.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But yeah, he's switching around the schedule.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Already based on what he feels like.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Now we see that.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And then after they stay the night in Nephi or whatever,
- 15:03Speaker 2: then they go to Lehigh or they go and visit
- 15:06Speaker 2: their old house. And I don't know why we have
- 15:09Speaker 2: to do this because obviously Christine's uncomfortable by seeing the
- 15:12Speaker 2: old house. She even says that she has a lot
- 15:15Speaker 2: of bad memories there and when they left Utah in
- 15:19Speaker 2: the dead of night because they were at the cops,
- 15:22Speaker 2: Christine had a lot of bad memories and trauma from that.
- 15:26Speaker 2: She just doesn't want to be there. But we go
- 15:27Speaker 2: to the house anyway, and it's under construction because they're
- 15:30Speaker 2: trying to get it to sell.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And there was a flood or something through some water damage,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and Cody goes on about how there's three separate apartments.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It would be perfect for a young polygamus husband with
- 15:42Speaker 1: his wives, and they want to sell this piece of property. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but like it does seem like a filler segment because
- 15:49Speaker 1: we get a lot of the flashbacks from when they
- 15:51Speaker 1: had to look out the window at the sheriff coming
- 15:53Speaker 1: to check out their home and whatever. Of course, they
- 15:57Speaker 1: fled by night and got a multip to flats so
- 16:00Speaker 1: on the way law is Vegas. But like it was
- 16:01Speaker 1: a whole production and we had to see paid In
- 16:03Speaker 1: crying and all the kids crying when it was announced
- 16:05Speaker 1: that they would have to leave you u till for Vegas.
- 16:07Speaker 1: It just felt to me like they needed actual content
- 16:11Speaker 1: me too, they inserted it in, but I didn't really understand.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Well maybe now looking back, I didn't understand at the
- 16:18Speaker 1: time when I was watching it, like what is your problem, Christine?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Like I get it that that was a bummer, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: plus now we know that you have some wounds around
- 16:27Speaker 1: the fact that you were the basement wife and what
- 16:29Speaker 1: that represents in Mormonism. But it felt to me in
- 16:33Speaker 1: the moment like she was just pitching a tantrum, like
- 16:35Speaker 1: I just want to leave, I don't want to talk
- 16:36Speaker 1: about it, I don't want to be here anymore. Like
- 16:38Speaker 1: it was very petulant to me. She isn't aries, Yeah,
- 16:42Speaker 1: and that does track, but I was just like, use
- 16:44Speaker 1: your big girl words, like why are you upset? And
- 16:47Speaker 1: also why are you visiting your upset? Which can be valid,
- 16:50Speaker 1: maybe it's totally valid, but why are you visiting it
- 16:54Speaker 1: or imposing it upon the entire family who's taking this
- 16:57Speaker 1: holiday road trip and then not telling people why or upset?
- 17:00Speaker 1: So this in retrospect makes sense because then we go
- 17:04Speaker 1: on to have this never ending argument with Cody about Ken. Yes,
- 17:08Speaker 1: so she's just upset period.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think she's been upset and totally riding
- 17:13Speaker 2: with the aries here.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Like she is boiling.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I think so it's at the point where she can't
- 17:19Speaker 2: really hide her emotions. And I'm not trying to justify
- 17:22Speaker 2: like her having a melt down in front of the
- 17:24Speaker 2: whole family, because we'll talk about it when we get
- 17:25Speaker 2: to the argument. Like, you know, maybe it wasn't appropriate
- 17:28Speaker 2: to have a public argument in front of all of
- 17:30Speaker 2: the wives and on the cameras. Maybe we shouldn't have
- 17:33Speaker 2: done that. It's a little a little much, But I
- 17:36Speaker 2: can understand knowing Christine's perspective now, like having read her
- 17:40Speaker 2: book and knowing how all of this played out over
- 17:43Speaker 2: the years, like this is the point in her marriage
- 17:46Speaker 2: where it's fucking bad, Like it was probably bad before
- 17:49Speaker 2: this and she was just dealing with it, but now
- 17:52Speaker 2: it's just like all of their problems are up at
- 17:54Speaker 2: the surface. Nothing is getting dealt with because Cody fucking
- 17:57Speaker 2: hates her, right, So I think that's where it's coming
- 18:01Speaker 2: from with Christine, Like that's why she's just having a
- 18:03Speaker 2: fit over everything.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Well, also, and you mentioned Christine's book, She does talk
- 18:08Speaker 1: about in the book how it was around this time,
- 18:11Speaker 1: the time of this big argument with Ken and this
- 18:13Speaker 1: particular road trip that she noticed that her emotions were
- 18:17Speaker 1: kind of wonky, Yeah, and she needed to do something
- 18:20Speaker 1: about it. So she went and saw a doctor who
- 18:22Speaker 1: ultimately told her that she was perimenopausal and at some
- 18:26Speaker 1: point she is going to get on some hormone replacement therapy,
- 18:30Speaker 1: which of course I have a big issue with because
- 18:32Speaker 1: she never told that to anybody in her audience, and
- 18:35Speaker 1: then went on to sell plexus for perimenopause and menopausal
- 18:40Speaker 1: systems as if you could just drink this pink drink
- 18:43Speaker 1: and mitigate all of your symptoms, when behind the scenes
- 18:46Speaker 1: she was getting actual HRT prescribed by a doctor.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:50Speaker 1: But in any event, at this point in the timeline,
- 18:54Speaker 1: she's got some perimenopausal symptoms that she's dealing with which
- 18:57Speaker 1: could contribute to her emotionality.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, And even then, I think some of that might
- 19:02Speaker 2: be more of an excuse to kind of invalidate Sure,
- 19:06Speaker 2: bullshit that's happening with Cody in her marriage. But after
- 19:10Speaker 2: they leave Lee High, then they go and visit her mom,
- 19:13Speaker 2: which I think she lives like forty five minutes away
- 19:15Speaker 2: or something like that in Utah, and Annie Christine's mom
- 19:20Speaker 2: is going to move in with her down in Vegas.
- 19:23Speaker 2: So they're at her house trying to see how much
- 19:26Speaker 2: crab she has basically, and how much they're going to
- 19:29Speaker 2: have to move, because of course, the Brown family is
- 19:31Speaker 2: going to move Annie themselves. We're not going to hire movers,
- 19:34Speaker 2: because why do that when Robin's got to get her
- 19:37Speaker 2: fake nails. We got to prioritize that in the budget
- 19:39Speaker 2: instead of movers. But whatever, So they're at Annie's house
- 19:42Speaker 2: and she's got a lot of shit, and they're trying
- 19:44Speaker 2: to decide what she's going to keep, what she's going
- 19:47Speaker 2: to leave at her house. And then we have this
- 19:48Speaker 2: little segment with Annie talking about how she doesn't want
- 19:52Speaker 2: to be an intruder in Cody's house and how she
- 19:56Speaker 2: really has to be careful about her there in her
- 20:00Speaker 2: presence around Cody because she doesn't want her and Cody
- 20:03Speaker 2: to trigger each other and cause issues. And then we
- 20:06Speaker 2: also hear from Christine saying that she had a talk
- 20:08Speaker 2: with her mom about how the dynamic would be having
- 20:12Speaker 2: her live with them. She's like, you know, if you
- 20:14Speaker 2: see me and Cody have an argument, because you know,
- 20:16Speaker 2: we're fighting a lot right now because our marriage is terrible,
- 20:19Speaker 2: you know, make sure you don't butt into it, and
- 20:21Speaker 2: you just observe it and you don't you don't say anything.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And I thought this was really this is awkward to
- 20:26Speaker 2: talk about on TV.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yes, And I was trying to see beyond the words
- 20:31Speaker 1: with Annie. Like my impression watching this was that she
- 20:36Speaker 1: is side eyeing Cody, like she has an issue with Cody.
- 20:40Speaker 1: And of course I learned from Christine's book that Annie
- 20:44Speaker 1: was in a polygamous relationship. She ultimately chose to leave
- 20:47Speaker 1: it when Christine was about eighteen or nineteen years old.
- 20:50Speaker 1: She ends up getting with another guy, I think, having
- 20:53Speaker 1: a second marriage. At the time we're checking in with
- 20:55Speaker 1: her now, there is no man around, so and I
- 20:57Speaker 1: do think he passed. But like, she's got a complicated
- 21:01Speaker 1: history with polygamy, and I'm sure she has formed all
- 21:05Speaker 1: of these judgments about that. She's probably projecting some of
- 21:09Speaker 1: that onto Cody, and or she's met so many polygamous
- 21:13Speaker 1: dudes that she can clock Cody and can tell what
- 21:17Speaker 1: Cody is doing behind the scenes. And I think the
- 21:20Speaker 1: moment she gets actually into Christine's house and can see
- 21:24Speaker 1: how the scheduling is working and can see how Robin
- 21:28Speaker 1: is actually really legitimately favored, she will be in Christine's ear.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And Christine says in her book, like there were these
- 21:36Speaker 1: conversations that she was having with her mother behind the scenes,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and I just want to say, there's just like this
- 21:40Speaker 1: melancholic kind of vibe that I have with Annie, and
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think that's me and my own mom, because at
- 21:48Speaker 1: some point after my dad died, I moved my mom
- 21:51Speaker 1: into my house and she had to, you know, at
- 21:54Speaker 1: fifty two or fifty three years old, which was a
- 21:57Speaker 1: young woman, actually had to figure out how to live
- 21:59Speaker 1: with me and my then husband and navigate that. And
- 22:03Speaker 1: how I took that for granted in a lot of ways,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you know, and I wasn't present with what my mom,
- 22:10Speaker 1: how that was affecting my mom at the time, and
- 22:12Speaker 1: like how that was such a dance that she had
- 22:14Speaker 1: to do to be my mom. But also I'm living
- 22:17Speaker 1: in your house, and also you've got a husband, and
- 22:19Speaker 1: I love your daughter, like all those things, Like it
- 22:21Speaker 1: just made me looking at Annie makes me miss my
- 22:25Speaker 1: mom and think about all of the opportunities I wish
- 22:28Speaker 1: I had back to just love her more for her
- 22:31Speaker 1: sacrifice and just you know, there comes a time as
- 22:34Speaker 1: a child it doesn't matter how old you are where
- 22:36Speaker 1: you just realize, Wow, my mom's just a person, just
- 22:39Speaker 1: a lady who's living a life, and this is the
- 22:41Speaker 1: life she's got, you know. And I just missed my mom.
- 22:45Speaker 1: And I was just loving Annie and seeing all of
- 22:47Speaker 1: her folded fabrics and all of her decorations, and she's
- 22:50Speaker 1: going to be giving this up to move in with Christine.
- 22:52Speaker 1: And I also love Christine. As complicated and flawed as
- 22:57Speaker 1: Christine is, She's going to take care of her mom. Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 1: And I think Christine at this time season eight's she's
- 23:03Speaker 1: having these profound issues with Cody in her marriage and
- 23:06Speaker 1: it is falling apart and polygamy is not working for her.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's just not. So the foundation of everything she believes
- 23:13Speaker 1: in is shifting, and it's the perfect time for Annie
- 23:16Speaker 1: to enter, oh yeah, and help Christine through this next transition.
- 23:19Speaker 2: So I was thinking that too, and like just how
- 23:22Speaker 2: Christine's life is kind of mirroring Annie's life at this
- 23:26Speaker 2: kind of point where Annie has already left her polygamist
- 23:29Speaker 2: lifestyle and her polygamist husband, which she is kind of
- 23:32Speaker 2: alluded to on the show A little bit was really
- 23:35Speaker 2: bad and like not a good relationship.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And then Christine treated her too, actually did she did?
- 23:40Speaker 2: And Christine reflects on this in her book and we've
- 23:42Speaker 2: talked about this at length on our Patreon if you
- 23:44Speaker 2: want to hear her book analysis of that, because it
- 23:46Speaker 2: was actually really nice to have Christine talk about it
- 23:49Speaker 2: in her book this way and talk about her relationship
- 23:51Speaker 2: with her mom. I think you're right. I think Christine's
- 23:53Speaker 2: at this point in this show in season eight where
- 23:56Speaker 2: she's on that journey of realizing saying, Oh, my mom
- 24:00Speaker 2: is just a person, She's gone through her own shit,
- 24:04Speaker 2: and like, maybe my life is repeating the same kind
- 24:07Speaker 2: of things that Annie's life went through, and what can
- 24:10Speaker 2: I learn from that? And how can I learn from
- 24:12Speaker 2: my anger with my mom and then learn and integrate
- 24:15Speaker 2: that into my marriage with Cody and realize, like, oh
- 24:18Speaker 2: my mom and I are the same. Like it's all
- 24:20Speaker 2: just a big circle. It's actually kind of cool for
- 24:23Speaker 2: me to watch, like as somebody who's had my own
- 24:25Speaker 2: issues with my own mom and like going through that
- 24:27Speaker 2: own process and you going through that with your mom.
- 24:30Speaker 2: But yeah, there is that kind of melancholic vibe with it,
- 24:33Speaker 2: because I think Annie sees the writing on the wall,
- 24:35Speaker 2: like I think she's not only clocking Cody from her
- 24:38Speaker 2: own prejudices with polygamy, but she's probably seeing how it's
- 24:43Speaker 2: affecting Christine and seeing herself and Christine, and I think
- 24:47Speaker 2: she just wants to shake Christine at this point and
- 24:49Speaker 2: be like, leave this motherfucker.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Oh gosh. I think she's so much more patient than that.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I feel like she's just wanting to be present as
- 24:57Speaker 1: Christine wakes up on her own and comes to the
- 24:59Speaker 1: real Oh like when my mom left when I was
- 25:03Speaker 1: eighteen or nineteen years old, and I took it out
- 25:05Speaker 1: on her and I judged her so hard. Like now here,
- 25:08Speaker 1: I am on the verge of doing that exact same thing,
- 25:11Speaker 1: And this is an opportunity to really relate to your mom.
- 25:14Speaker 1: It's just there's a lot that's going on, and I
- 25:17Speaker 1: think Annie is a symbol for so much growth for Christine. Yes,
- 25:21Speaker 1: and so I'd love to see it. Yep, Team Annie
- 25:23Speaker 1: and Christine me too.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And so after they visit with Annie, then they bop
- 25:28Speaker 2: on over to Maddie, who's also in Utah, and they're
- 25:31Speaker 2: going to go and pay her a visit, and Maddie
- 25:33Speaker 2: is kind of excited to see her family I guess
- 25:35Speaker 2: according to I think Robin, Maddie was like posting on
- 25:39Speaker 2: Facebook or something talking about how she misses her family,
- 25:42Speaker 2: and so everybody visits her apartment, which is very cute
- 25:45Speaker 2: and spacious and nice and clean because there's not a
- 25:48Speaker 2: thousand people living in it. And this is where we
- 25:52Speaker 2: have Maddie and Cody having like a little private chat
- 25:56Speaker 2: in the RV. And while they have a chat in
- 25:59Speaker 2: the RV, we have the wives Christine and Mary, and
- 26:02Speaker 2: I think Janelle and Robin kind of join in a
- 26:05Speaker 2: little bit too, where they're rearranging everything in her apartment
- 26:08Speaker 2: and kind of messing up everything, messing up her sheets
- 26:10Speaker 2: and all this bullshit as like a way to be
- 26:12Speaker 2: a practical jokester, but it's kind of annoying. But while
- 26:17Speaker 2: they're doing that, Maddie's in the RV with Cody, and
- 26:20Speaker 2: Cody is pretending like he's a present father and pretending
- 26:24Speaker 2: like he cares. This is my opinion, where he is
- 26:27Speaker 2: trying to ask Maddie like, what's going on, what's going
- 26:30Speaker 2: on your life? I care about you, I love ya.
- 26:32Speaker 2: You want to talk to me about stuff, and Maddie's
- 26:35Speaker 2: just kind of giving him surface level shit because she's
- 26:38Speaker 2: a young adult, she's probably fucking. She's probably doing drugs.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I mean, I would be in college.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Well, remember she had roses in her apartment and everybody
- 26:49Speaker 1: was asking like, where did you get those roses from?
- 26:50Speaker 1: And she's like, oh, I mean I buy them for myself.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, so is Caleb already sniffing around
- 26:55Speaker 1: your apartment?
- 26:56Speaker 2: So I'm saying her and Caleber probably fucking in this
- 26:59Speaker 2: apartment in those she eats that Christine's messing up.
- 27:01Speaker 1: You, and so is Robin. What did you think about? Okay,
- 27:05Speaker 1: so you thought that Cody was pretending to be an
- 27:08Speaker 1: engaged father, like I was wondering, And maybe I just
- 27:11Speaker 1: give him sometimes too much of a benefit of the doubt,
- 27:13Speaker 1: but I was just it felt to me like he
- 27:16Speaker 1: was realizing the lack of connection, which he also mentioned
- 27:21Speaker 1: when Janelle and him moved Maddie in, And he's making
- 27:25Speaker 1: these sort of fumbling attempts to have conversation with her,
- 27:29Speaker 1: to check in about what's going on in her life,
- 27:31Speaker 1: to try and share like where he was at that
- 27:32Speaker 1: time in his life, and she's just not receiving it.
- 27:35Speaker 1: And I was wondering if that was just teenage bullshit.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Maddie's just like I'm a teenager. I don't care. I
- 27:40Speaker 1: don't want to be lectured, or whether there's already a wall,
- 27:44Speaker 1: whether Maddie is already like you know what, dude, you
- 27:46Speaker 1: haven't been there for me, especially since Robin's joined the family. Like,
- 27:51Speaker 1: I've got all of these other kids, we have all
- 27:53Speaker 1: of these homes. You haven't checked in with me authentically
- 27:56Speaker 1: four years, So why are we doing it now on camera?
- 28:00Speaker 1: So what you can feel like a dad? Or is
- 28:03Speaker 1: Cody making an actual attempt to be a dad? I don't.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:07Speaker 2: It's hard for me because if Cody was any other person,
- 28:10Speaker 2: like any other parent, like Kim Plath, for example, if
- 28:13Speaker 2: I saw this on the Welcome to Plathfill show, I
- 28:16Speaker 2: would have been like, Okay, yeah, maybe it's just their
- 28:20Speaker 2: kind of misguided attempt to try and connect with their kid.
- 28:23Speaker 2: But it's Cody Brown, So to me, it came off
- 28:26Speaker 2: more performative in nature. I think there's probably like a
- 28:31Speaker 2: kernel of him that's like, yeah, man, I'm really disconnected
- 28:35Speaker 2: from a lot of my kids because I chose to
- 28:38Speaker 2: have a ginormous family, and I chose to have four
- 28:40Speaker 2: different women, and I can't. He can't really be one
- 28:43Speaker 2: hundred percent present with all of them. Like that's the
- 28:47Speaker 2: problem with polygamy. It's like you can't be there one
- 28:51Speaker 2: hundred percent of the time when you have such a
- 28:53Speaker 2: giant family like that.
- 28:54Speaker 1: It's just not But he also hasn't been there as
- 28:57Speaker 1: much as he could have been there exactly specifically since
- 29:00Speaker 1: Robin joined the family. Yep. And Maddie is one of
- 29:03Speaker 1: the main ones who was clocking that bullshit from the
- 29:05Speaker 1: very beginning, definitely.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And I think Maddie was not so much like giving
- 29:10Speaker 2: him bullshit. I think she was just being like a
- 29:15Speaker 2: young adult type of a thing, because she does reflect
- 29:17Speaker 2: on it later to the camera to herself and she's like,
- 29:20Speaker 2: you know, I think my dad wants me to tell
- 29:24Speaker 2: him everything because then to him it'll feel like we're connected.
- 29:28Speaker 2: But no kid tells their parent everything. That's just the
- 29:32Speaker 2: nature of being a kid and being a child or whatever.
- 29:34Speaker 2: So like, I'm not gonna tell him everything, but to
- 29:36Speaker 2: my dad, he's probably gonna think that means I'm not
- 29:39Speaker 2: connected with him. When I am, I'm just doing my
- 29:42Speaker 2: own thing. I'm living my own life.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I just moved into this apartment and now I have
- 29:46Speaker 1: one thousand people walking through my apartment and reorganizing all
- 29:50Speaker 1: of my things. Can y'all leave now?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Get out for real? And she even says like, I'm
- 29:54Speaker 2: not lonely here. I like living on my own. I'm
- 29:56Speaker 2: loving my own life and not having to be a
- 29:58Speaker 2: parentified child. Also like I'm I'm doing my own thing.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I'm fucking my boyfriend that you don't know about, you
- 30:05Speaker 2: know what I mean. Like she's just living her own life.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But I can see from the parent perspective, like Cody
- 30:12Speaker 2: just like trying to reach out because his kid hasn't
- 30:15Speaker 2: been at home for several months and he probably misses
- 30:17Speaker 2: her a little bit.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And see, there are these flashes of a father in Cody, yep.
- 30:23Speaker 1: And of course this is one of his oldest children,
- 30:25Speaker 1: Like he spent the most time with these kids, exactly.
- 30:28Speaker 1: And I just wonder if he's feeling like echoes of
- 30:32Speaker 1: probably that life and that type of father that he
- 30:35Speaker 1: was and trying to recapture that. I don't know, maybe
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm just giving him too much credit.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I think there probably is a little bit of that
- 30:41Speaker 2: in there, But then his narcissism just kind of overshadowed.
- 30:44Speaker 1: He flips his hair and he keeps it moving exactly.
- 30:47Speaker 2: So after they visit Maddie, then they're back on the
- 30:49Speaker 2: road again and they're heading up to Wyoming because they're
- 30:52Speaker 2: going to pick up pick up some of the kids
- 30:55Speaker 2: who have been staying at the ranch right all summer.
- 30:58Speaker 2: So I think it's like Gay and Savannah. I was surprised,
- 31:02Speaker 2: she's so little, Yeah, but she was gone for.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Weeks though, seeing their grandparents, Grandma Chero, I guess. So.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, like my stepsisters used to do that. They would
- 31:11Speaker 2: spend whole entire summers in San Francisco with their grandparents. Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 2: as like little kids, like six year olds. Oh wow, Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 2: So I don't know. I think it's great that they
- 31:21Speaker 2: have this for some of the kids. Sure, it's weird
- 31:23Speaker 2: that not all of them go, Like it's weird that
- 31:26Speaker 2: only seems like Janelle's kids.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Go up to the ranch there. Yeah, so maybe that's why.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 31:33Speaker 2: But they go and pick them up from the ranch,
- 31:35Speaker 2: and then they're gonna go take a little pit stop to
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yellowstone and take pictures of the geysers and stuff. And
- 31:40Speaker 2: this is where the tension between Christine and Cody starts
- 31:45Speaker 2: to bubble up to the surface because at one point
- 31:48Speaker 2: they stop at some other campground I think it maybe
- 31:50Speaker 2: it was at Yellowstone, I don't really know. And originally
- 31:55Speaker 2: after this pit stop and Yellowstone, they were going to
- 31:58Speaker 2: go see Robin's booty friend named Matt or something. They
- 32:03Speaker 2: were gonna go hang out with him, but he can't.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Be booty I don't know, because it's Robin spread that's right, Okay.
- 32:09Speaker 2: So apparently he canceled last minute, and so the family's like, well,
- 32:12Speaker 2: what are we gonna do. We need something to do,
- 32:15Speaker 2: we need content to film, and so Janelle comes up
- 32:18Speaker 2: with the bright idea, Hey, what about Ken Grant. Didn't
- 32:22Speaker 2: he text you like recently to like hang out or
- 32:24Speaker 2: go bowling or something. Cody's like, yeah, that's.
- 32:27Speaker 1: A great idea.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Maybe we should hit up Ken Grant. But this sets
- 32:31Speaker 2: Christine off.
- 32:32Speaker 1: But let's just talk about Janelle for a second. Like,
- 32:35Speaker 1: why would Janelle suggest that unless she did not know
- 32:40Speaker 1: that Christine was upset, unless she did not know that
- 32:44Speaker 1: Ken had sent the text that we'll talk about to
- 32:46Speaker 1: Cody where he told Cody to ditch three of his
- 32:49Speaker 1: wives or whatever. But to me, it feels like Janelle
- 32:52Speaker 1: did know that. Yeah, Janelle knew that Christine had a
- 32:55Speaker 1: problem with Ken, and she recommended it anyway. Yeah, so
- 33:00Speaker 1: does that mean you are a shit stirer?
- 33:03Speaker 2: I think so?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Does that mean you are an ally to Cody Brown
- 33:06Speaker 1: and just want to do what Cody wants to do?
- 33:08Speaker 1: I was just like, what's going on with you, Janelle?
- 33:10Speaker 1: That's kind of weird.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I thought it was weird too, and it kind of
- 33:13Speaker 2: felt to me like maybe Cody had talked to Janelle
- 33:15Speaker 2: about it, like beforehand, privately in their bedroom or whatever,
- 33:19Speaker 2: after they just fucked being like Janelle, Hey, wouldn't it
- 33:22Speaker 2: be a great idea if you suggested that we hung
- 33:24Speaker 2: out with Ken Grant. I know, Christine, because she's such
- 33:27Speaker 2: a bitch, doesn't want me to be friends with him,
- 33:29Speaker 2: but like maybe if you could bring it up, everybody
- 33:31Speaker 2: else would be on board, and so she does.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I could see that That's.
- 33:35Speaker 2: What I'm thinking, and I just felt like it was
- 33:37Speaker 2: really weird. So once Janelle brings it up, then Christine
- 33:40Speaker 2: gets set off because, as we recall, we had previous
- 33:45Speaker 2: episodes from like the beginning one, yeah, season one of
- 33:49Speaker 2: Ken Grant, who is an LDS Mormon he was BFFs.
- 33:53Speaker 1: With Cody back in mission together.
- 33:55Speaker 2: They did a mission together and probably had homosexual I'm sorry,
- 34:03Speaker 2: well they probably forticated out.
- 34:05Speaker 1: But when we went on that trip back to his hometown,
- 34:08Speaker 1: like all of his high school friends were like we
- 34:10Speaker 1: thought Cody was buoyantly gay, not just gay, not undercove
- 34:15Speaker 1: or lover, not bottom by sticking. And so that's I mean,
- 34:22Speaker 1: an interesting thought that maybe him and Ken had some
- 34:26Speaker 1: male love. I don't know, I mean, I'm just not
- 34:28Speaker 1: judging anybody was, but no, yeah, that's what happened.
- 34:34Speaker 2: So yeah, in season one, we met up with Ken,
- 34:36Speaker 2: and Ken is not approving of Cody's lifestyle whatsoever.
- 34:40Speaker 1: And let me just note for the record, I think
- 34:43Speaker 1: Ken is an evil little man. I thought he was
- 34:46Speaker 1: so dogmatic and strident and judgmental and to have the
- 34:52Speaker 1: audacity like in the clip that they show when they're
- 34:54Speaker 1: all like getting together, like to talk about like stuff
- 34:57Speaker 1: in life and just what's been going on we were
- 35:00Speaker 1: last year in high school, like totally holding Cody's feet
- 35:04Speaker 1: to the fire, like what happened to you? Like, I
- 35:06Speaker 1: just can't believe you became a polygamous and that you
- 35:09Speaker 1: turned away from the one true religion and now you
- 35:11Speaker 1: have all of these wives. It just seems stupid to me,
- 35:14Speaker 1: like he was really rude about it.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yep, objectively, and at that time Christine was privy to
- 35:20Speaker 2: that conversation. She was offended by it. She's been offended
- 35:24Speaker 2: by Ken this entire time. And so after that, after
- 35:28Speaker 2: that scene that we saw in season one, apparently Ken
- 35:31Speaker 2: and Cody had still been in contact for a bit
- 35:34Speaker 2: and Ken had sent Cody a text at some point
- 35:39Speaker 2: recently saying well, if you just left three of your
- 35:43Speaker 2: wives and you could come back to the Mormon church
- 35:46Speaker 2: and be saved. And Christine found out about this text
- 35:49Speaker 2: message and was very offended by it again on top
- 35:53Speaker 2: of already being offended by him. So when Ken Grant
- 35:57Speaker 2: gets mentioned as part of this family trip, seemingly like
- 36:02Speaker 2: he's going to be a last minute addition. So it's
- 36:04Speaker 2: not like Christine was prepared to see Ken Grant or
- 36:08Speaker 2: the family was prepared to see him. They're just like, oh,
- 36:10Speaker 2: why don't we see him? We're in Wyoming, why not
- 36:13Speaker 2: he's around. Christine's pissed off about it. She doesn't want
- 36:16Speaker 2: to see him. She believes Ken Grant owes them, and
- 36:19Speaker 2: specifically her an apology because she was the one that
- 36:23Speaker 2: was the most offended by it, And of course nobody's
- 36:26Speaker 2: really on Christine's side whatsoever. We have the OG three
- 36:30Speaker 2: being like, yeah, I don't really understand why Christine's upset
- 36:32Speaker 2: by it. It's not that big of a deal. Ken's
- 36:36Speaker 2: just a jokester. He's just making.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Jokes, okay, And so my first thought about that is,
- 36:46Speaker 1: I don't know if my husband received a text from
- 36:49Speaker 1: his real tight homeboy saying like, let's go do this
- 36:52Speaker 1: and like why don't you dump your loser of a
- 36:55Speaker 1: wife for like, why don't you dump your wife so
- 36:56Speaker 1: that you can come back and be my friend or
- 36:59Speaker 1: be part of this, Like the first thing, my husband
- 37:02Speaker 1: would just ghost. Yeah, you would never hear from my
- 37:05Speaker 1: husband again. And if there was a conversation, he would
- 37:07Speaker 1: absolutely say like what the float are you talking about?
- 37:09Speaker 1: Absolutely not, Yeah, Like there's just no question that that
- 37:12Speaker 1: is what my husband would do. I can understand Christine
- 37:16Speaker 1: wanting Cody to have the impulse to defend his family,
- 37:20Speaker 1: but the problem is that Cody will do anything for
- 37:24Speaker 1: male affection. And I'm not talking on a homosexual level,
- 37:27Speaker 1: but like he's so distorted inwardly as a result of
- 37:32Speaker 1: what I believe is his toxic relationship with his now
- 37:34Speaker 1: deceased father season eight, when he's dead, like, he's so
- 37:38Speaker 1: distorted from that relationship that he's looking for male connections
- 37:43Speaker 1: anywhere he can get them, and he's willing to pretty
- 37:46Speaker 1: much do anything, even travel during COVID, after he laid
- 37:49Speaker 1: down the law to all of his family that they
- 37:51Speaker 1: couldn't go anywhere, Like he's traveling to Oklahoma so he
- 37:54Speaker 1: can officiate some wedding for his bro like, and we
- 37:57Speaker 1: see him over the seasons doing stupid stuff with his
- 38:00Speaker 1: dumb male friends and having a variety of conversations, and
- 38:03Speaker 1: he holds above all else the opinion of these other men,
- 38:08Speaker 1: And so Ken can be an absolute asshole, which I
- 38:12Speaker 1: think he is, And Ken can be disrespectful and call
- 38:16Speaker 1: out his relationships, which Cody claims to hold as sacred
- 38:20Speaker 1: and dear and as a tenet of his religion. But
- 38:23Speaker 1: Ken can do that and Cody won't say shit. And
- 38:26Speaker 1: all throughout this conversation and argument that he has with Christine,
- 38:30Speaker 1: he talks about, well, you just want me to put
- 38:32Speaker 1: my balls into your purse. You just want to emasculate me,
- 38:36Speaker 1: like Cody literally thinks sticking up for his family equals
- 38:41Speaker 1: I'm not a man if I talk back to or
- 38:44Speaker 1: confront another man, or if you don't allow me to
- 38:46Speaker 1: be friends with this man, you're asking me to be
- 38:48Speaker 1: a woman. Yeah, it's really fucking weird. Now I have
- 38:51Speaker 1: a problem with Christine Beatrice because she's always teamed too much.
- 38:55Speaker 1: She's always going on and on and on. Like at
- 38:57Speaker 1: some point, because this last this argument lasted for three
- 39:01Speaker 1: whole segments out of six. Yeah, so like for half
- 39:04Speaker 1: the episode or longer, we're listening to the very same
- 39:07Speaker 1: argument over and over again, which is Christine saying, I
- 39:11Speaker 1: need you to be the champion for this family. I
- 39:14Speaker 1: need you to be pissed off that somebody would even
- 39:16Speaker 1: say this about us. I need you to then go
- 39:18Speaker 1: and ask this guy to apologize before I feel comfortable
- 39:22Speaker 1: to do something. And then Cody feeling like, who are
- 39:25Speaker 1: you to tell me how to run my family and
- 39:28Speaker 1: my relationships, calling her poisonous to the rest of the family,
- 39:32Speaker 1: and like just going in circles around and around and
- 39:35Speaker 1: around and to me. And I'm like Christine, he's just
- 39:38Speaker 1: never gonna give you what you want him to give you,
- 39:42Speaker 1: and at some point we just have to accept that
- 39:44Speaker 1: and say, Okay, I'm gonna walk away, which is what
- 39:46Speaker 1: I think Janelle is saying or Mary is saying when
- 39:48Speaker 1: they're saying like, just agree to disagree. Yeah, Robin says that,
- 39:51Speaker 1: don't throw away the entire holiday, our road trip where
- 39:55Speaker 1: we're supposed to be bonding, so that you guys can
- 39:58Speaker 1: keep on arguing about this. Don't ruin it for me.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yeah, right, if.
- 40:01Speaker 1: It's Robin, don't ruin it for me. Like, I hope
- 40:03Speaker 1: that we can get over this, but Christine is just
- 40:05Speaker 1: not willing to do that. Christine is emotionally immature. Christine
- 40:09Speaker 1: is not smart, neither is Cody, and she doesn't She's
- 40:14Speaker 1: like a dog with a bone. And I was getting
- 40:16Speaker 1: annoyed at that. I'm like, stop being vulnerable and pouring
- 40:22Speaker 1: out all of your desires and needs to a partner
- 40:26Speaker 1: who doesn't give a fuck. Yeah, well stand up.
- 40:29Speaker 2: But I think that's the thing that's hard, Like as
- 40:32Speaker 2: the viewers, like we watch this and we're like, oh
- 40:34Speaker 2: my god, Christine, like just stop, Like obviously Cody is
- 40:37Speaker 2: telling you over and over again that he doesn't give
- 40:39Speaker 2: a shit, like he does not care how you feel.
- 40:42Speaker 2: He does not care that you're offended. He is not
- 40:44Speaker 2: going to defend you. He's not going to defend the family,
- 40:47Speaker 2: and he's not going to ask his friend to apologize
- 40:50Speaker 2: because he thinks that that's a way to emasculate him. Like,
- 40:53Speaker 2: he's just not going to do it. But I think
- 40:56Speaker 2: the reason why Christine is being a lot right now
- 40:59Speaker 2: is maybe, like she had said in her book, maybe
- 41:01Speaker 2: it's peri menopause in influencing some of her emotionality. Maybe
- 41:07Speaker 2: it's the fact that the root of this, in my opinion,
- 41:10Speaker 2: is that Cody has not prioritized her four years ever, ever,
- 41:15Speaker 2: like in their entire marriage at.
- 41:18Speaker 1: All, even in their honeymoon.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Yeah, she didn't have a honeymoon. She was the basement wife.
- 41:23Speaker 2: She has never been prioritized. She's never felt pretty, she's
- 41:27Speaker 2: never felt enough for him, And so I think that's
- 41:30Speaker 2: the root of it. Sure, I do think that she
- 41:32Speaker 2: is emotionally immature in the sense that she can't realize
- 41:36Speaker 2: that that's the root. But she's also at this point
- 41:39Speaker 2: in time still under the aub kool aid, Like she's
- 41:46Speaker 2: still under this indoctrination. She's still under the idea that
- 41:49Speaker 2: like she has to suffer in order to gain salvation.
- 41:52Speaker 2: So like she's still very like brainwashed in that way.
- 41:56Speaker 2: And so I think she's just so like I don't
- 41:58Speaker 2: know what to do with all this, Like she can't
- 42:01Speaker 2: help but feel it also, and she can't help but
- 42:04Speaker 2: express it because this is offensive to her, like Ken's
- 42:08Speaker 2: existence is offensive to her because he doesn't believe in
- 42:12Speaker 2: their family. He doesn't believe in her legitimacy as a wife,
- 42:16Speaker 2: as a third wife, because he doesn't believe in polygamy,
- 42:19Speaker 2: like he doesn't believe in their faith, and like you
- 42:21Speaker 2: have Cody responding to all of this being like all
- 42:24Speaker 2: of my friends think I'm fucking wack adoodle, Like they
- 42:26Speaker 2: think I'm crazy for being a polygamist. My own sister,
- 42:29Speaker 2: my own sister who thinks that I'm just having sex
- 42:32Speaker 2: with a bunch of women, Like she doesn't even believe
- 42:34Speaker 2: that this is a tenant of my faith. So to him,
- 42:36Speaker 2: his perspective is like everybody thinks I'm weird, So I
- 42:39Speaker 2: don't really care that my childhood friend from kindergarten is
- 42:44Speaker 2: saying this offensive stuff, like it's not a big deal.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Well, he also tries to frame it as I mean
- 42:48Speaker 1: this is their idea of religion rcause he called it
- 42:53Speaker 1: a religious prejudice or I forget the exact thing that
- 42:57Speaker 1: he said. But he's like, well, that's just his right
- 42:59Speaker 1: to believe that thing about his religion. And you know,
- 43:03Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell him that it's wrong to
- 43:04Speaker 1: believe that, even though he's telling you that it's wrong
- 43:07Speaker 1: that you're living the lifestyle that you're living. But so
- 43:10Speaker 1: he's trying to make it this more moral argument as
- 43:13Speaker 1: to why he doesn't want to cause friction when the
- 43:16Speaker 1: reality is you're just cowardly and unwilling to stick up
- 43:20Speaker 1: for these wives. And I guarantee you if it was
- 43:23Speaker 1: Robin Oh who had a problem with Ken, he'd be like,
- 43:26Speaker 1: absolutely not, it's off the table. Because in this episode,
- 43:30Speaker 1: at some point along the way, they stop at some
- 43:33Speaker 1: campground and Gabes got a loose toos and Cody's like,
- 43:37Speaker 1: let me just get my pliers. Yep, let me pull
- 43:40Speaker 1: out your fucking tooth or whatever we've got. This I
- 43:41Speaker 1: couldn't even watch. I can't watch nose and teeth stuff.
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's like an dick for me. But at some point,
- 43:48Speaker 1: I guess Robin's just looking at him like, what are
- 43:51Speaker 1: you doing? And Cody says, oh, gosh, Robin thinks I'm
- 43:54Speaker 1: a bad dad and immediately stops exactly, even though he
- 43:58Speaker 1: was doing it and everybody else was like, it's fine.
- 44:00Speaker 1: But if Robin disapproves, then he changes his behavior. So
- 44:04Speaker 1: I just think that if it was Robin who had
- 44:06Speaker 1: a problem with Ken, he would have been like, you'd
- 44:08Speaker 1: say less and that's why will take care of it.
- 44:10Speaker 1: But it's Christine, and he doesn't actually respect value, much
- 44:15Speaker 1: less love Christine, and she's still at that point in
- 44:18Speaker 1: her journey where she's crying out for loves from this man.
- 44:22Speaker 2: And that's exactly it. And I think that's why Christine
- 44:25Speaker 2: is so emotional because I think she knows and she's
- 44:28Speaker 2: been seeing how Cody favorites Robin, like entirely nobody believes
- 44:33Speaker 2: her in the family because at this point Janelle doesn't care.
- 44:35Speaker 2: She's getting what she wants from Cody. Mary is still
- 44:38Speaker 2: simping for Cody, so she's just gonna Robbie and she exactly,
- 44:42Speaker 2: and she's just gonna be on their team. So Christine
- 44:45Speaker 2: is really on the outs right now. Nobody is listening
- 44:48Speaker 2: to her, nobody's validating her. Feelings. None of the wives
- 44:50Speaker 2: are even trying to be comforting or validating of her
- 44:54Speaker 2: feelings with Ken, like Mary tries to, uh, what's the
- 44:59Speaker 2: word media mediate, Yeah, she's trying to like diffuse the
- 45:03Speaker 2: situation and being like, well, he's just a stupid guy.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Christine like it's okay, he's just dumb. Cody can be
- 45:08Speaker 2: a dumbass too, like it's not a big deal. But
- 45:11Speaker 2: Christine can't really accept any of that because she's just
- 45:15Speaker 2: feeling this Cody doesn't care about me. Cody doesn't validate
- 45:20Speaker 2: my feelings. Cody doesn't love me, he doesn't prioritize me.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I'm not even his favorite. I'm not even liked, and
- 45:25Speaker 2: all we do is argue all the time. And I
- 45:28Speaker 2: just want him to validate me. I just want him
- 45:31Speaker 2: to love me. I just want him to care about me.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I think that's where it's coming from, and that's why
- 45:34Speaker 2: it is a lot. But that's why it's also frustrating
- 45:36Speaker 2: to watch as the viewers, because we're like Christine, he's
- 45:40Speaker 2: never gonna care about you, But she can't see that
- 45:42Speaker 2: right now.
- 45:44Speaker 1: She cannot, honey, and it's gonna be a while until
- 45:46Speaker 1: she does. We're gonna go Galveston and everything. Yet we're
- 45:49Speaker 1: gonna build rock towers or karens or whatever they're called.
- 45:51Speaker 1: And she's still not gonna know she's gonna follow this
- 45:53Speaker 1: man to flag staff and truly believe that this is
- 45:56Speaker 1: what she's supposed to do until that moment strikes during
- 45:59Speaker 1: COVID and she's like, oh, for real, yep, I'm out exactly.
- 46:04Speaker 2: And this fight continues on into the next episode. And
- 46:07Speaker 2: I know this because I've seen these episodes, but this
- 46:09Speaker 2: continues into the next one, and that the next episode
- 46:13Speaker 2: is where Cody straight up says you're pmsing are you
- 46:16Speaker 2: on your period?
- 46:17Speaker 1: Though?
- 46:17Speaker 2: Like he's calling out her emotions and her menstrual cycle,
- 46:21Speaker 2: and he does that in front of the other wives.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And that's why, in my opinion, like when Christine talks
- 46:27Speaker 2: about it in her book and she's like, it's perimenopause,
- 46:29Speaker 2: I feel like some of that is from this conversation
- 46:34Speaker 2: and from her thinking like, oh, I'm just being irrational
- 46:37Speaker 2: because my hormones, and I think some of it might
- 46:41Speaker 2: be hormonal. Like I think some of the over the
- 46:44Speaker 2: top like yelling and like slamming her fists and stuff
- 46:47Speaker 2: on the table, like that might be more hormonal and like, Okay,
- 46:51Speaker 2: maybe chill out. You're a grown woman, like you don't
- 46:53Speaker 2: need to slam stuff. But I think like, underneath of it,
- 46:55Speaker 2: her feelings are valid, and it's kind of for me.
- 46:58Speaker 2: It's kind of sad to watch her go through this
- 47:00Speaker 2: because I'm like, Christine, like, you don't need to be
- 47:03Speaker 2: making all these excuses for how you feel. It's okay
- 47:06Speaker 2: to be upset that your husband won't even ask his
- 47:09Speaker 2: friend to apologize to you when you're deeply visibly offended.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So do you know if Ken Grant ever comes back
- 47:18Speaker 1: into Sister Wives? I like, do we ever see him
- 47:22Speaker 1: approach this subject with Christine in the future.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I think he comes back in later episodes of this season.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I love this season. Yeah.
- 47:32Speaker 2: I don't think we get like the apology from him
- 47:34Speaker 2: on camera, but I was on Reddit doing some investigative
- 47:37Speaker 2: journalism and apparently after these episodes aired, Ken allegedly called
- 47:43Speaker 2: Christine after because he saw that, and he apologized to
- 47:46Speaker 2: her after. Okay, so like he's not completely terrible, Like
- 47:50Speaker 2: at least he was like, oh my gosh, Christine, I'm
- 47:52Speaker 2: so sorry. He did call her after the episodes were aired,
- 47:54Speaker 2: all right, So and this is from Reddit, so maybe
- 47:57Speaker 2: this didn't happen.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I don't know, but okay, okay, yeah, yeah, because I
- 48:01Speaker 1: would have done that. I mean, if I am and
- 48:02Speaker 1: I said something as boneheaded as that, and I knew
- 48:04Speaker 1: I really affected somebody, I would have definitely said something that.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, because I haven't watched next
- 48:09Speaker 1: week when he drops the uh pms. When he drops that,
- 48:15Speaker 1: do the other wives defend her.
- 48:18Speaker 2: No, they just are like, yeah, maybe it's that. So
- 48:21Speaker 2: it's like it's bs. Yeah. That's why I'm like, all right,
- 48:23Speaker 2: this is so lame, because it's just because women are
- 48:26Speaker 2: emotional doesn't mean that it's your fucking hormones.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Of fact, it's our strength cue bitch.
- 48:31Speaker 2: So that's where I get a little like offended. That's
- 48:33Speaker 2: why I've been on team Christine on this point. I
- 48:35Speaker 2: know she is a lot, Yeah she is.
- 48:36Speaker 1: She is annoying a little bit, and that's just.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Like her personality for sure. But like I definitely empathize
- 48:43Speaker 2: with her and I can see that this is an
- 48:45Speaker 2: issue within their marriage that's coming out. Sure, I do think,
- 48:50Speaker 2: and I will say the Christine people can come for
- 48:53Speaker 2: me in the comments. I do think it was totally
- 48:55Speaker 2: inappropriate to bring it up on camera and in front
- 48:57Speaker 2: of all the other wives, Like, we don't need to
- 48:59Speaker 2: be having an argument in front of everybody. I think
- 49:02Speaker 2: that shit's kind of christy.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's not just that though, Like it sounds
- 49:05Speaker 1: like when Cody's saying that Christine is poisoning the family
- 49:09Speaker 1: and the family trip, it feels like it's not just
- 49:12Speaker 1: these little adult family meetings that they're having at the
- 49:15Speaker 1: picnic table between stops. It's also like while the kids
- 49:19Speaker 1: are there and everybody's trying to have dinner or make breakfast,
- 49:21Speaker 1: she's still got like this stank attitude and is making
- 49:25Speaker 1: everybody feel uncomfortable, and like we don't want to do that.
- 49:28Speaker 1: We want to be able to deal with our shit
- 49:30Speaker 1: in a different way, but like we're not perfect people. No, no, no,
- 49:32Speaker 1: She's like being exploited, she's being cheated upon by her husband,
- 49:36Speaker 1: she's being treated terribly, and so like how else are
- 49:40Speaker 1: we supposed to deal with stuff? Sometimes? And I do
- 49:43Speaker 1: have grace for her in that regard.
- 49:45Speaker 2: And that's the thing too, Like, you know, she's probably
- 49:47Speaker 2: bringing it up in these times because she does never
- 49:50Speaker 2: see Cody right in general.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Because am I supposed to even raise it because you're
- 49:54Speaker 1: not here, you never come see me.
- 49:55Speaker 2: I'm not on your schedule exactly, and so of course
- 49:58Speaker 2: I'm going to bring it up, sure everybody. But I
- 50:00Speaker 2: was just like clocking Robin during this too, because she
- 50:04Speaker 2: knows she was just judging the whole thing. And I
- 50:06Speaker 2: bet her and Cody were talking shit about Christine.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Well, she even says on the couch at some point, well, like,
- 50:11Speaker 1: I hope that we can resolve this dumb ass argument
- 50:15Speaker 1: so that it doesn't affect the rest of my holiday. Wow. Yeah,
- 50:19Speaker 1: selfish concerned about what's gonna happen because it is all
- 50:22Speaker 1: about her, it is, Yeah, but this is another peak
- 50:25Speaker 1: behind the curtain of what's really going on. And we
- 50:29Speaker 1: may say that Christine's reaction is over the top, but
- 50:33Speaker 1: is it because we don't really know what's happening behind
- 50:35Speaker 1: the scenes, behind closed doors. And I think there's a
- 50:37Speaker 1: lot that's actually happening.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Definitely, And I think that's the reason why it is
- 50:41Speaker 2: over the top, because they have such a horrible marriage
- 50:44Speaker 2: right now. Yeah, and it's been horrible the entire time,
- 50:46Speaker 2: but like it's come up to the surface. I bet
- 50:49Speaker 2: this is the time where Cody's like, yeah, I'm not
- 50:51Speaker 2: fucking you that much anymore. I bet this is the
- 50:54Speaker 2: time where intimacy starts tanking. He's not seeing her or
- 50:59Speaker 2: any of the other wives as often because he's always
- 51:01Speaker 2: over at Robin's. So like, yeah, tensions are high, but
- 51:05Speaker 2: is Cody gonna do anything about it?
- 51:07Speaker 1: No?
- 51:07Speaker 2: No, because he doesn't care. He doesn't care about anybody's
- 51:10Speaker 2: feelings or anybody's boundaries or anything other than Robin's. And
- 51:14Speaker 2: that's unfortunate. And so Christine and Cody really just fight
- 51:18Speaker 2: the rest of the episode. It's going to continue into
- 51:20Speaker 2: next week's episode, and it gets worse, and at the
- 51:24Speaker 2: end of this episode, we have Mary trying to lighten
- 51:27Speaker 2: the mood by getting everybody to throw marshmallows at each other,
- 51:30Speaker 2: and it's like whatever. Then we have the preview for
- 51:33Speaker 2: next week's episode where coding Christina is still fighting. He
- 51:38Speaker 2: tells her that she's not being responsible for how she's
- 51:40Speaker 2: behaving because it's all on her, it's not on him
- 51:43Speaker 2: because he hasn't done anything wrong. We go to meet
- 51:46Speaker 2: the Colliers and they have a custom license plate that
- 51:49Speaker 2: says polypam and Gwen is like, what does that mean?
- 51:54Speaker 2: Folly fam mean, well, I don't know, Gwen, maybe think
- 51:57Speaker 2: about it for a second. And then at at some point,
- 52:01Speaker 2: Cody says something like he's not that bad of a husband,
- 52:05Speaker 2: and Janelle ends up walking away.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he's like joking about something and he's saying it
- 52:10Speaker 1: in a mocking tone, like I'm not such a bad husband.
- 52:13Speaker 1: And Janelle gets up and walks.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Out, which is interesting, yeah, because she does rep for
- 52:18Speaker 2: him a lot and acts like he's a great husband
- 52:21Speaker 2: at this point in time. But she gets up and
- 52:22Speaker 2: leaves because of that comment. And then the Colliers talk
- 52:26Speaker 2: about taking on a third wife, and you know, they
- 52:30Speaker 2: want us to know that it's not about sex, sure,
- 52:32Speaker 2: And what's his face? Mister Collier is like, yeah, you know,
- 52:36Speaker 2: I'm forty five. If anything, I could use less sex.
- 52:39Speaker 2: So I'm getting so much pussy haul, Just like, why are.
- 52:44Speaker 1: We meeting yet another polygamist family that we're never going
- 52:48Speaker 1: to see again? I don't know, we are never going
- 52:51Speaker 1: to see those weird Missouri people that we met in
- 52:54Speaker 1: the last road trip. We've met a few of these
- 52:56Speaker 1: different families and I'm like, where are they now? I
- 52:58Speaker 1: don't know, Yeah, I don't know. And I don't care
- 53:01Speaker 1: me neither at all, because you have a bunch of
- 53:03Speaker 1: weirdos degenerate. Thank you well. I have to admit I
- 53:08Speaker 1: was very entertained. I like seeing the things starting to
- 53:13Speaker 1: bubble over. I like seeing Cody's inability to truly defend
- 53:18Speaker 1: himself other than to just say things like you you're
- 53:24Speaker 1: trying to put my balls in your purse or whatever,
- 53:26Speaker 1: like he doesn't. I like to see him, I guess, squirm, yeah.
- 53:29Speaker 1: And Christine is making him squirm definitely, and she is
- 53:32Speaker 1: not letting it go. She is like a dog with
- 53:34Speaker 1: a bone on this one. And I kind of love
- 53:36Speaker 1: to see it me too.
- 53:38Speaker 2: And I like to see the real family dynamics at
- 53:40Speaker 2: play instead of the fake bullshit that we get, you know,
- 53:43Speaker 2: in the later seasons and stuff.
- 53:45Speaker 1: And I wonder for anybody listening or watching out there, like,
- 53:48Speaker 1: what was the opinion of the audience at the time,
- 53:51Speaker 1: did they think Christine was acting ridiculously? Did they think
- 53:55Speaker 1: that Cody was arguing in good faith? I wonder if
- 53:59Speaker 1: pretty much which everybody was clocking, what was really going on,
- 54:02Speaker 1: like we do retrospectively. I just don't know. If you do,
- 54:05Speaker 1: please drop in the comments. I'd love to hear.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah, let us know.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Please, Well, Beatrice, is there anything else that we should
- 54:11Speaker 1: say to these beautiful raccoons before we get up on
