Transcript
- 0:00You're listening to the STA Clinician Podcast, connecting clinicians across healthcare.
- 0:16Welcome to episode 300 of the STA Clinician Podcast. My name is Matt Phillips.
- 0:22And as always, this episode is being recorded live on the Sports Therapy Association
- 0:27YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8 o'clock UK time on a Tuesday.
- 0:33We're at episode 300. It sounds good, 300, but it's kind of like 5.76923077
- 0:40years. So it's not really that cool.
- 0:42I think we'll make more of a fuss when we get to six years.
- 0:44But it's still nice isn't it 300 it's still pretty cool and i'm really happy
- 0:48to say we're going to be celebrating it with two of the wonderful team from
- 0:53therapy show formerly known as therapy expo,
- 0:56which for those of you are not aware is the uk's largest multidisciplinary event
- 1:00for msk professionals and it's returning to the nec once again,
- 1:04in birmingham this november on wednesday the 25th and thursday the 26th and
- 1:10the sti as always as with every year since it first started 14 years ago, I think.
- 1:16We'll be there. So do come along to see us if you're an SDA member,
- 1:19especially if you're coming along by yourself.
- 1:21And even if you're not an SDA member, come along. If you're looking for someone
- 1:25to talk to and hang out with, then do feel free to use us as a little meeting
- 1:29point and have a chat with Gary and Jake and I'll be around and other people
- 1:33running the stand. That'd be lovely to see you.
- 1:36People who have joined us live, thank you very much. If you do want to leave
- 1:41a comment or ask my guests a question, then you are welcome to do so.
- 1:46And this is your opportunity. For example, Gary Benson, founder of the STA is
- 1:50here. Obviously, Gary's here on the 300th episode.
- 1:53And he says, congratulations on 300th episode.
- 1:56Really, Gary, I could not have done it without you.
- 1:58No one would have asked me. So thank you, Gary. And Leslie Campbell,
- 2:02the wonderful Leslie Campbell who's getting some great,
- 2:04stuff on Instagram recently doing some great work with the ST school and Anna
- 2:08Maria hey Leslie thanks for joining us and Leslie says hi well done Matt with
- 2:13capital letters thank you
- 2:14a quick question for expert oh no we don't have a question yet Leslie let's
- 2:17leave that little hook Brian says evening all thanks for joining us Brian and
- 2:20other people are coming in the lounge so great to see you guys thank you so much.
- 2:24Right then so like I say very shortly I'm going to be joined by show manager
- 2:29of therapy show Charlotte Spear and also Keanu Rodriguez.
- 2:33I know, what a cool name. Thank you for everybody who commented on that.
- 2:35And I'm sorry, it's not Keanu of Point Break or Matrix, but it's still pretty cool, Keanu Rodriguez.
- 2:42He's going to be coming from the marketing team.
- 2:44To give us a peek what's in store with the new rebrand happening after,
- 2:47like I say, 13 years of Therapy Expo, it's now Therapy Show.
- 2:51Before I bring up my guests, I must say a huge thank you to my guest last week,
- 2:58who was Josie DeLore, who came back second week in a row.
- 3:02Josie is a registered massage therapist in Canada, highly respected educator
- 3:07and founder of RMT Sexual Support Society.
- 3:11Josie came and joined me for an hour.
- 3:14To answer your questions, which we put on a QR tag. Please don't use the QR
- 3:18thing now, it won't go anywhere.
- 3:20But we asked you to send us questions for the topic, Navigating Awkward Client
- 3:23Boundaries in Massage Therapy.
- 3:26And Josie shared her fantastic experience, her own personal experience and her
- 3:32experience of working with other massage therapists to answer your questions.
- 3:37As always, it's available on all popular podcast apps. And if you want to watch
- 3:41the live recording, then go to the Sports Therapy Association YouTube channel.
- 3:45And the episode does discuss real scenarios, trauma triggers,
- 3:48documentation, discharge templates, exit plans, loads of information on there.
- 3:52There is a little trigger warning on there because we do talk about the encroaching
- 3:56of sexual boundaries and sexual harassment and abuse. So be aware,
- 4:00you'll notice in the show notes, there is a warning.
- 4:02And if you are affected by it, then there's some contact information at the
- 4:07bottom. If you're an STA member, then do make sure that you reach out to the
- 4:11STA. Details on the members page.
- 4:14And if you did, thank you to everybody who sent in questions.
- 4:16If I said last week, if we didn't get around to answering your question,
- 4:19because we received quite a lot, then just to stress, please don't let that
- 4:23be the end of your question. Don't lose the opportunity. You've asked us, we couldn't get to it.
- 4:28Do please reach out to somebody else, whether that's a colleague or somebody
- 4:31from your own professional association. If you remember, If you are with the
- 4:35SDA, this is what we're here for.
- 4:36I know we're here to help you. So make sure you do contact us through the members portal.
- 4:41You can either phone and speak to Gary or you can send an email in.
- 4:44Just don't let that question disappear if you felt you needed to get some information on that topic.
- 4:49Right. There we go. So thanks very much, Josie, again, for giving up your time,
- 4:53Josie DeLorme, who you can find all these show notes will give you all details
- 4:57of how to contact Josie because she did offer, they did offer their services
- 5:00as well if you want to contact them. So take advantage of that.
- 5:04Right. Back to tonight's episode, Therapy Show 2026, 10 weeks to go.
- 5:11Let's bring up my special guest, Charlotte Spears, show manager,
- 5:14and Keanu Rodriguez from marketing.
- 5:21Hey, Charlotte. Thank you, aren't you? Hey. How are you doing?
- 5:25Not bad. Not too bad. Sorry, that was a bit of a long intro.
- 5:28I didn't mean to be that long.
- 5:29It was just such a powerful episode last week. It was really important.
- 5:32So, yeah, we wanted to give our due thanks.
- 5:34But thank you for giving up your time as well.
- 5:36Charlotte, you weren't able to join us last time. We had Liam by himself.
- 5:41Never leave Liam Richardson by himself. But he did come back in episode 278
- 5:46back in March to let us know a little bit. And you can make it.
- 5:48But I trust you are fighting fit now.
- 5:51Absolutely i am 10 weeks to go do you know people scratch their nose when they're
- 5:55not telling the truth have you ever seen that i do have a bit of a clock oh
- 5:59there we go i'll just let you know i saw on 24th great observation yeah out in me.
- 6:07No uh but i do appreciate if you have got a cold then double thank you for giving
- 6:11up your time to be with us um as show manager there's so many questions we've
- 6:14got for you and people if you listen to podcasts if you joined us live sorry if
- 6:17you listen to the live recording then take advantage now this is the therapy
- 6:21show show manager so questions
- 6:25and also keanu first time podcast thank you very much for giving us your time as well,
- 6:29no thank you thank you so much for the invite and again it's going to be so
- 6:32interesting hearing about your perspective in terms of marketing the show and
- 6:35the rebrand and all of that so i really appreciate you both giving your time,
- 6:39for listeners who aren't aware of you guys or maybe you aren't aware of therapy
- 6:41show let's hope that there are some people who've never heard of you.
- 6:44Otherwise, we're just telling people who want to know about it.
- 6:46Maybe, Charlotte, could you start, give us a little history of a therapy expo,
- 6:51a therapy show, and your role?
- 6:53Yeah, of course. So, the show has been running for over 10 years now,
- 6:58started in Manchester, and of course, now takes place in Birmingham at the NEC,
- 7:05the amazing NEC, centre of the country.
- 7:08Great hotels, great restaurants, easy access, we hope, for everyone to get there.
- 7:15And I guess over the years, the show has evolved extensively.
- 7:19We've grown, I think the last stat we had was 68% in floor space.
- 7:26So more than doubled the event since it first took place all those years ago
- 7:30in Manchester, before my time.
- 7:33I took the event on in 2021, so the first edition after COVID.
- 7:39And essentially, I was told, do what you can. It's a small event. It's a small industry.
- 7:47See what you can do with it, really. And I'll admit, I've never been so busy.
- 7:51It turns out that this industry is never ending.
- 7:54There's so much that we have done and still can do with the event and our focus
- 8:02is very much on increasing the experience so making sure that,
- 8:09anyone exhibitor speaker partner and delegate anyone who's on site at the event
- 8:14leaves excited and absolutely buzzing for same time next year you know that's
- 8:19really our mission and goal at therapy show now,
- 8:23That was, I remember, I just, I forgot how infectious you are as well.
- 8:27If you listen to the podcast and you really, this isn't one of the times that
- 8:29you need to go up to YouTube and watch it because you need to see Charlotte
- 8:32and the passion she puts into this. I mean, it's so infectious.
- 8:35And I remember it reminds me of when, God, a year ago, minus 10 weeks,
- 8:40when we just caught up on one of the days and you were walking around and you
- 8:43kind of telling me a little bit about, have you seen the new colors?
- 8:45What do you think of them? Have you seen this? And it was kind of like,
- 8:49you know, you really were looking and thinking, right, how's it going to change?
- 8:51And you were so excited about it.
- 8:53And yeah obviously other people are involved Keanu for example but it does seem
- 8:58for people who talk to you and see you on the podcast that,
- 9:01this has really been not just yours but it's been one of your little babies
- 9:05for quite a while now and you've been trying to nurture it and kind of tweak
- 9:09it a little bit and change it so yeah have you managed have you this year I hope so yeah.
- 9:16I hope So, well, we get more people now more than ever coming to the event,
- 9:22more exhibitors, more exhibitor inquiries, you know, who want to be part of the event.
- 9:27We're working with more partners than ever before, sponsors,
- 9:31speakers, speakers coming from all over the world.
- 9:34Oh man, we're going to talk about something later on. You've,
- 9:37yeah, you're definitely doing something right because some of the speakers you've got coming.
- 9:40Last year, I think there was about well there was over 2 000 delegates and there was 100,
- 9:46speakers specialist speakers 150 plus hours of cpd sessions and 150 plus exhibitors
- 9:53do you know yet this year how it's going to compare not that size is everything
- 9:57but you mentioned that you've got even more happening this year,
- 10:00so the show has grown theaters have grown to cater for a larger audience and
- 10:04i guess Everyone should remember that back in December and January,
- 10:09we ran a very special offer on cheaper tickets to make it more accessible.
- 10:15We are expecting 3,000 plus bodies on site.
- 10:19Bodies, weird way to put it, actually. I mean, delegates. That doesn't include
- 10:23exhibitors, staff and speakers.
- 10:263000 plus delegates are expected. We're already tracking ahead of the total
- 10:31number of delegates that turned up last year, which is insane.
- 10:35And it's not, you know, I obviously, I do genuinely love the event.
- 10:39I love the industry. I love the people more than anything involved across the
- 10:44whole sector, but I really do have an excellent team that work with me.
- 10:49That's cool. That's cool. Thank you for that. There's so much more I want to ask you, but Keanu.
- 10:54Yes hello hello what a name what a name we won't dwell on the name but great
- 10:58name how long you've been you're you're representing marketing here yes um have
- 11:03you been with therapy show for a while or with closer still media what's your
- 11:07story how did you get involved in all of this.
- 11:09I've recently moved on to Therapy Show. I've been with Closest All Media for
- 11:13about three years. I used to work on an event called Clinical Pharmacy Congress.
- 11:17So now I've moved over to their Therapy Show, which I'm super excited about,
- 11:21and I've taken the lead on.
- 11:22And it's something that I really enjoy. I love sports, and I love the industry.
- 11:25I love the people. You know what I mean? They don't sit behind the desk.
- 11:28They're more interactive. They want to have a conversation. So it's really nice.
- 11:32I get to engage a lot in it.
- 11:34And you've joined a like a really in I suppose interest there's probably loads
- 11:39of adjectives that Charlotte would use to describe this time but it's definitely
- 11:42a fast moving time isn't it with the rebrand and everything and a little bit of uncertainty and,
- 11:46it's crazy and I guess Keanu for me his strength is his insight into the industry
- 11:52first and foremost because me personally I had zero knowledge you know sport
- 11:57wise I like strongman that's kind of my thing,
- 12:01other than that you know I'm not a big sports person whereas Keanu's kind of
- 12:04hit the ground running he's creative,
- 12:07please go and check out the Instagram the creative,
- 12:11emails that have been going out as well the content I think he just gets it
- 12:16he's very personable he's spoken to most of our speakers already,
- 12:20and we're just doing a lot more we're working at a faster pace than ever before
- 12:25which is really exciting and the video as well we've put out a recent video
- 12:29and it's I have to say I'm very proud of it. I think it's brilliant.
- 12:33That's cool. It's so nice to hear. And, you know, I mean...
- 12:37For me personally, I know the people I speak to, I think a lot of the Energy
- 12:42for Therapy show does come from the team. You are there on the day.
- 12:45You're walking around. You know, when it was Molly there, Molly was there.
- 12:48And you talked to Molly, you were there. I'm sure Kiana will be running around.
- 12:50Liam's there. We've got other people. You're all there.
- 12:53And you can see from the way, and you've got Vern walking around.
- 12:56So it's like, it's a very, this is probably where the success comes from.
- 13:00It's really led by you guys up front.
- 13:02You're on the shop floor, breathing it, seeing it, talking with people.
- 13:05So yeah I'm going to put the success down to you guys and like you say your team,
- 13:10it's like Christmas Day for us we wait 12 months 12 months of work crazy isn't
- 13:16it to see it all come together so yeah the best part really is seeing the floor plan,
- 13:22turn into a real life you know just standing at the entrance and looking when,
- 13:28everything's been built and the carpet's been laid and it's the end of actually
- 13:32the build day is the most exciting for me because it's just It's Christmas Eve,
- 13:37waiting for people to come through the door.
- 13:40It's mega. It really is. It's mega. Yeah, it really is mega.
- 13:44For those of you over 40 years old, that means it's really good.
- 13:51I'm not going to pick on any names in the audience, but yeah,
- 13:54there'll be show notes, a little translator. Nothing sus about this. It's all mega.
- 14:00Let's talk a little bit about the rebrand. And so, like I say,
- 14:05at the end of the last show, there was a little teaser of the new colors and
- 14:08stuff, and people were talking about it. And we mentioned it in Liam back in March.
- 14:12But what I'd love to hear from you guys, what does the rebrand mean to you?
- 14:16Why the move after 13 years, I think, like you said, at the Therapy Expo?
- 14:20Why is it now a therapy show?
- 14:22Well, complete transparency. And I guess, you know, my management team maybe,
- 14:28find this a bit controversial.
- 14:31I just hate the word Expo. I think it screams commercial.
- 14:35It's off-putting for me. You know, I personally don't want to attend an exhibition, an expo.
- 14:42I think it sounds overwhelming. You know, I appreciate it's not the biggest
- 14:45change in the world, Therapy Expo to Therapy Show, but I do believe the word
- 14:50show encompasses really what we've become.
- 14:53We're conference-led, and of course, it's kind of a hybrid conference-exhibition hybrid.
- 15:00But as I mentioned, you know, the biggest focus for us is really transforming
- 15:03the event into an experience.
- 15:07I hate the thought of, you know, being forced, I've got to go to that bloody show.
- 15:12Coming in with your ticket, you know, avoiding exhibitors, going straight to
- 15:16a session that you've got to sit in a seminar for hours. And,
- 15:19you know, I just hate the word exhibition
- 15:23because I think that's what I personally think when I hear that.
- 15:28So it was just a really kind of a headline on what we are. We are a therapy show.
- 15:32What do we do? We've got education. We've got products and services available
- 15:37to you. The show is essentially built for this profession.
- 15:41So if you don't want to come, I mean, we've got a big problem on our hands because
- 15:44everything we do, we live and we breathe, is for the industry.
- 15:48That's really what I'm paid for, to put on an event for the industry.
- 15:53Such a good speaker. If you speak in the show, I'd go and see you speak.
- 15:57I want to see you speak somewhere.
- 15:59Forget Lorne Moseley. Sorry, it's cancelled, Lorne Moseley. No,
- 16:02we're going to have Charlotte be out of the motivator. I do go on a bit.
- 16:05That's great. I love it. I love chatting.
- 16:08And I think that's actually where the show, dare I say it, I think the success
- 16:13of the show is simply through me, myself and the team speaking to as many people as possible.
- 16:18Delegates, exhibitors, speakers.
- 16:20You know, I've tried to go out and meet as many people as possible.
- 16:24Everyone that I'm talking to, i make an effort to see everyone on site because
- 16:29this is where i get my ideas and feedback you know what works for you what do
- 16:32you like what do you do what do you not like and that's really what what builds
- 16:36the event very cool love it keanu you're,
- 16:40involved in marketing and charlotte's already praised a lot of the stuff we're
- 16:43putting out there how do you think marketing has changed to to help this rebrand take place to make it,
- 16:49feel to the audience that it is more like charlotte's of a show now of a living
- 16:53experience as opposed to just an expo with lots of different sections to it?
- 16:57I guess we just, from my perspective from marketing, we just want to show that
- 17:01people taking the two days or a day to come out to the show to experience it.
- 17:06They get everything. They can take everything away. They can take everything to their clinics.
- 17:13So sorry about that. That's fine. Yeah. A little bit nervous over here.
- 17:18But yeah, so from our perspective is that they walk away with something different
- 17:21when they attend the event. You know what I mean? They can see all the exhibitors.
- 17:25We've got an amazing lineup of speakers.
- 17:27And also we have where they can see, where they can meet people and have book signings.
- 17:34Oh, book signings as well. That sounds good. We've got book signings.
- 17:36We've got to meet the speakers. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, this year I'll run you through all the new stuff.
- 17:42But even the rebrand you know just changing getting away from that pink and
- 17:46blue you know it's a internal joke that the gender reveal branding that we had previously,
- 17:53i just every time i went onto the website i just thought oh whereas now we've
- 17:58got this movement imagery we've got you know the color,
- 18:02i was a bit unsure at first if i'm if i'm truly honest i was a bit unsure but
- 18:06But I think what Keanu and his team have been able to do with it.
- 18:11Yeah, I personally really like it.
- 18:14I think it's exciting. I think it's new, a bit more vibrant than it was.
- 18:19And yeah, Keanu, you know, he's been working really hard. He's had a lot to
- 18:22play with with the rebrand as well, with the new fonts and colors and imagery.
- 18:27You're having a lot of freedom, which is nice.
- 18:30Excellent. Give us, you started saying there, like some of the things you're most excited about.
- 18:34But imagine there's somebody who's been, a lot of our listeners,
- 18:37because of especially STA members,
- 18:40we kind of big it up a lot and we try to encourage people to book ahead,
- 18:44take advantage of the £49 offers and stuff, get your accommodation sorted out,
- 18:49meet up with other people, do an Airbnb.
- 18:51There's lots of ways to make the conference far more accessible.
- 18:54And you guys added to that with your £49 deal, which obviously people can't take advantage of now.
- 19:00But although there are still deals which we'll talk about towards the end of the show,
- 19:04For somebody who has been to the last kind of four or five and they're thinking,
- 19:08oh, what am I going to go on again?
- 19:10It's going to be the same speakers doing this and that and the same theatres.
- 19:14What would you say to those people that's going to be different this year?
- 19:16What would make them go, oh, wow, that sounds different? For me.
- 19:23I mean, where do I start? So feature-wise, we've got so many new features.
- 19:28And just to bear in mind, we respond to the feedback we get.
- 19:33So last year for example the feedback that was that as clinic owners or business
- 19:39owners they want more business content,
- 19:41you know right let's launch a business and practice leadership theater so we
- 19:47have a designated theater that's dedicated to business content,
- 19:52so there's stuff about marketing in there how to run a business using tiktok
- 19:57which i could actually do with going to,
- 20:00loads around AI and the virtual reality and using ChatGPT to create content
- 20:06and so we've responded to that we've got a dedicated theatre for business,
- 20:11we have an enclosed space called the studio for years everyone's been wanting the CPR sessions back,
- 20:20finally you know we've got Lubus back doing the CPR practical workshops and.
- 20:26You can also get a discount on the online course that you can do before the show.
- 20:31So having a ticket gets you a discount of the online course.
- 20:34But you can have practical CPR workshops, experiences at Therapy Show.
- 20:39We've got Meet the Speakers, another thing everyone's wanted to do.
- 20:42So after a session, you've got more questions or you just want to have a chat
- 20:46with one of our speakers.
- 20:47Lo and behold, go to the Meet the Speakers section.
- 20:52We've got book signings. we've got the speakers as well they're never the same,
- 20:57we never have the same speakers and sorry,
- 21:01the same speakers come back but what I mean is the content's different we never
- 21:04have the same content we're very respondent to what is going on in the industry,
- 21:09and none of us are industry specialists you know we work with our advisory board
- 21:14our education committee day-to-day chit chat with delegates you know what are
- 21:18you working on what do you need more knowledge in what what can we do to get you there?
- 21:22And we do, we've responded to all of this feedback.
- 21:25And I think for me, the most...
- 21:29I guess, attractive offering at therapy show is the fact that it's so multidisciplinary.
- 21:37So, you know, it's not just if you're a physiotherapist, for example,
- 21:41you're not just going to be in a room with physiotherapists,
- 21:44you're going to be brushing shoulders with sports therapists,
- 21:48chiropractors, osteopaths, we've got the military involved.
- 21:52Premier League sports clubs come to the event, heads of medicals,
- 21:56Bupa, you know, all the clinicians that work under Bupa, Nuffield Health,
- 22:00Ramsey Healthcare, the English National Ballet Senior Leadership Team usually come to the event.
- 22:05And we've got all these different people with so much knowledge and the learning
- 22:10and networking that can happen.
- 22:12I think for me, that's really the most special part of the event.
- 22:16And, you know, with the experience of being amongst peers that genuinely have
- 22:20the same interest as you.
- 22:23I don't know if you've got anything to add, Keanu. What sells it to you?
- 22:27I guess it's just showing everyone the different perspective from the show you
- 22:32know what I mean getting everyone involved getting everyone engaged instead
- 22:35of just sitting down on a chair
- 22:38not taking part you know what I mean we've got exhibitors that are doing live
- 22:41demonstrations actually testing out the products you know what I mean getting your hands,
- 22:46how can I say dirty you know what I mean actually first person to be a product
- 22:50tester you know they're coming out to test the market. It hasn't been released.
- 22:54You are going to be the person to see it first or to trial it out or to take it to your clinic.
- 22:59So I think that's, that's for me, the coolest thing, getting to see everything
- 23:03new first before anyone else.
- 23:06Fantastic. All sounds pretty good. We mentioned as well back in March that for
- 23:12people who have been before, they'll be familiar that the floor was divided
- 23:16up into the occupational therapy show
- 23:19and then therapy expo, therapy show, and the other side this year.
- 23:23That's not going on, is there? You won't have people moving through from one
- 23:26to the other? It's going to be kind of... We've built a wall.
- 23:29The wall's been built. Trump will be so proud.
- 23:32Yeah. We've built a wall up. No, it's... We've...
- 23:37I think with the growth of Therapy Show being so great, it does deserve to be
- 23:44an event in its own right.
- 23:47And, you know, of course, it's...
- 23:51I, again, more honestly from me, I don't think it's fair that occupational therapists
- 23:54were able to attend therapy show for free because the OT show is of course free for OTs to attend.
- 24:02So OTs if they do want to attend therapy show they will have to purchase a ticket and they they have been.
- 24:10Sorry to interrupt there's is there I think I asked this last time is there
- 24:13a special discount for people who want to go into both shows or for OTs who
- 24:16do want to go to therapy show can they kind of upgrade or do Do you get to just
- 24:21pay the same price for a ticket? Same price for a ticket.
- 24:23There isn't a special price for OTs, no.
- 24:27It's the same price for everyone. So again, you know, they did benefit from
- 24:30the £49 price in December and January.
- 24:33And there has been a price increase as the year's gone on.
- 24:37But we're a show in our own right. So, yeah, it just means that everyone in
- 24:43that room, it's very targeted.
- 24:45You know, no one's just there for the sake of getting freebies and walking around for this, you know,
- 24:51oh, can I have a massage or whatever, you know, people looking for everyone
- 24:55that will be at therapy show is dedicated to their industry and there for a reason and a purpose.
- 25:02Does that mean more floor space as well? Yeah. Yeah, we've grown again.
- 25:07It's bigger. So there is more space. And to be honest, the reason we've taken
- 25:12more space, part of the reason, is to make our theatres larger.
- 25:16So we've now got 400 seats in Theatre A and Theatre B. Wow.
- 25:20The Business and Practice Leadership Theatre from memory is 150 seats.
- 25:26Our open-air workshops and practical theatres are much larger.
- 25:31And if you've been before you you've obviously experienced the crowds and you
- 25:36know maybe not being at the back of the crowd not being able to hear we have
- 25:39tried to extend the theatres to make it more accessible get more bums on seats,
- 25:44working harder with the av as well so more headsets being provided.
- 25:48It is really difficult to accommodate you know everyone,
- 25:53but we do try to make sure that you know if perhaps you aren't able to get into
- 25:56one session there is another amazing session taking place and you know hopefully
- 26:01there's space in that theater it's it's we're just trying to make it,
- 26:05as a you know like a broken record we want the event to be as enjoyable as possible
- 26:09i don't want anyone experiencing stress i want as much space and freedom more
- 26:13seating areas the networking lounge is much larger than ever before as well,
- 26:19fantastic i'm just thinking i'm going through my head of things which people
- 26:23have kind of you know what people have delicates kindly suggest some improvements
- 26:27that's how that's how they say isn't it they don't send you nasty emails or anything i'm sure but,
- 26:32what about the apps what about kind of programs is there going to be an app
- 26:34this year is that something people will be able to look at on their phone the
- 26:37app is back it's back and keanu actually you know me i i mentioned on the last
- 26:43one that i did with you matt,
- 26:44i'm a show guide girl i like writing down i like having something visual and to flick through.
- 26:52But, you know, not everyone is a show guide girly, as they say, a show guide person.
- 26:57So Keanu is heading up the app and it's very cool. Very, very cool.
- 27:03Tell us about it, Keanu. What are people going to like about the app?
- 27:05They're going to be able to find their sessions a lot easier.
- 27:08They're going to be able to schedule it. So just to say they have two sessions
- 27:12which are similar at the same time, it'll be able to notify you to let you know
- 27:17that these sessions are clashing. So you should be able to attend either one. which is really nice.
- 27:24There's a lot of good features for exhibitors also for our delegates to interact with them.
- 27:29And also, I enjoy it. We also have a website version for those that don't feel
- 27:35like downloading the app. I know that that's an entry with some people which is also really nice.
- 27:41Is this Android and iPhone? Are people going to be accessing it?
- 27:43Yes, Android and iPhone.
- 27:45Okay, sounding good. That's quite a few tick boxes, I think.
- 27:47Don't forget, if you are joining us live we'd love to hear, is your chance to
- 27:50go, What about this? Is there going to be this?
- 27:52Have your moan. Do it now. Because there's still time. I'm sure they can change
- 27:56the app if they want. Keanu's here. If you need the app tweaked, he's got 10 weeks.
- 28:00He's got time to change it. Whatever you want. We can change it with branding, if you like.
- 28:05Yeah. Back to third for the expo, we can do that. But you need to let us know.
- 28:08Let's have a look in the comments just in case.
- 28:11Oh, here we go. This is from Nikki Mansfield. Hey, Nikki, how you doing? Nikki says, yes.
- 28:16High five. The app was so promising the year before last. It wasn't perfect,
- 28:20but I definitely missed it last year.
- 28:22Wicked. See, I knew there would be people cheering that. There was,
- 28:25I'm just going to go back to Leslie who had a question here.
- 28:30Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Quick question for expo guys. You mean the show guys.
- 28:34Will anyone be selling the Omni 360 face cradle at the expo?
- 28:39Now warning for fellow therapists, it will trigger a total need to buy.
- 28:43Is there going to be any who might be selling apparatus like that for massage?
- 28:47Yeah, massage table or plint. I don't.
- 28:51Now I met this, Leslie, if I've got an exhibitor that is coming with that and
- 28:56I say no, I'm in big trouble.
- 28:59I don't think we have an exhibitor bringing that as far as I know.
- 29:04But what I would say as a counter, head to have a look at Lojer,
- 29:11L-O-J-E-R, who are bringing the Manutera.
- 29:15Bed that that I mean I had a go on it and it does absolutely everything it's
- 29:21it's insane obviously I'm not a clinician,
- 29:23and you guys know more than me but the feedback that I was hearing when I saw
- 29:28them at FIBO earlier this year was nuts,
- 29:32and yeah they got a really good response so as far as I'm aware we don't have
- 29:36the Omni 360 I will be calling them first thing tomorrow morning,
- 29:40to see if they want to stand and i will update in the chat tomorrow if the feedback
- 29:46if they do decide to join us but yeah i would definitely recommend having a lawyer
- 29:51the manutera plint because it's pretty mega and using the word again very good.
- 29:58In my opinion brilliant thanks for the questions people if you've got any other
- 30:02questions then do let us know let's you mentioned there's some cool guests going.
- 30:07I suppose really, particularly for a lot of therapists who are into the pain
- 30:11science and everything, then we should kind of blow the trumpet a little bit
- 30:15out that this particular pain science legend is coming.
- 30:19Dr. Laura Mamosley, well coming, I say, it's going to be a live stream with
- 30:21Dr. Laura Mamosley, which should just have a trumpet sound with it somewhere.
- 30:26Yeah, let's do it actually. There is going to be Laura Mamosley live streaming at Therapy Show.
- 30:34There you go. It's big. There you go.
- 30:44Oh, we can't hear you very well, Matt. Can you not hear me? There we go.
- 30:49Yeah, getting Lorna Mosley on the show for a lot of people will be,
- 30:52oh, okay, wow, these people are serious.
- 30:54They've got serious people listening to them. So that's really exciting.
- 30:57And he's going to be, in case you listen to the podcast, that's going to be,
- 31:01according to the program, on day two, which is Thursday, the 26th of November,
- 31:059.30 a.m., live streamed into Theatre A.
- 31:09And that's going to be a presentation called The Limits of Pain Science in Real-World
- 31:13MSK Practice, which is so cool because there's a lot of, well,
- 31:17it depends what circles you move in, but there's a lot of,
- 31:20you know what it's like, polarized debate, or Lorimer Moseley,
- 31:22so old, or the things he was saying, so being disproved now.
- 31:25But here's the guy himself saying, here you go, I'm going to talk about the
- 31:27limits of pain science in real-world MSK practice. So that's a real forward-thinking
- 31:32current topic he's going to be talking about.
- 31:34And that's on day two, 9.30 a.m. I mean, for a lot of people,
- 31:37that's going to be really impressive. You guys, I don't know how happy you are,
- 31:40or if you realize how important that is.
- 31:42I've heard, over the moon, over the moon. We get so much feedback about most
- 31:49of the speakers actually this year.
- 31:51And the themes, the session titles, we've had a lot of compliments.
- 31:57So yeah, big, very, very happy. It is a big one. Not to take it away from all
- 32:02the other speakers, but I think
- 32:03it's, I don't know, for anybody who's been following the pain science,
- 32:06then for historically then that's kind of a big name for them to be involved
- 32:10in this pretty cool kudos to you guys so that's fantastic and,
- 32:15as i've mentioned laura finishes at 10 that's really cool because it gives people
- 32:18time half an hour to get over to clinical skills lab,
- 32:22to see me the other great speaker you've got happening that's at 10 30 a.m on
- 32:25the same day so enjoy laura,
- 32:28i'll be live not a live stream i'll be there in person that's kind of the difference
- 32:31between me and dr mason but actually my my presentation there is part of something
- 32:35which i wanted to talk to you guys about as well there's going to be.
- 32:40One of the many things you're focusing on this year is trying to make the event
- 32:44which is tricky but a little bit more accessible and looking at kind of the
- 32:47topic of inclusion for neurodivergent practitioners is that something which
- 32:52is tricky with 3 000 people coming but,
- 32:55what have you managed to kind of do which might make it a little bit more inclusive
- 32:59so from our perspective, we've tried a little bit to try and make it more inclusive
- 33:04to the neurodivergence audience.
- 33:06We've added hearing loops to every single theater, so everyone will be able to hear.
- 33:11We've also added priority seatings to the front of every single theater,
- 33:15so two priority seatings for those that either can't see or can't stand for
- 33:20long or either need help or are pregnant.
- 33:23And then also we'll also have wheelchair accessibility and seating in every
- 33:27single theater. We've also made the aisles for every theater a lot bigger for
- 33:31everyone that needs anything or walking with crutches or anything like that.
- 33:35We also have a large print material at every single theater for those that aren't
- 33:40able to see or read any of the material.
- 33:43So we can have that. We've made sure that there is a quiet room for those that
- 33:48need to just take a time out or just to go for a sensory overload.
- 33:52We've also made sure that for those that have like medicine or that are like
- 33:55diabetic, they need to store something in a cold refrigerator.
- 33:58We also have that where they can store their medicines on site.
- 34:02We also have made sure that there is like with regards to, we have also,
- 34:09sorry, we're also allowing people to carry support, to bring support people
- 34:13with them into the event so they can also assist with regards to that.
- 34:17That's amazing. I mean, you've just trotted out 13 really significant,
- 34:20important things, which many other events can't even manage two or three. That's incredible.
- 34:26That's all of them. You can speak for an hour about all of those.
- 34:29That's really significant. And I know from my Facebook group that a lot of those
- 34:33things have been requested and from everything you've talked about,
- 34:37the seating positions, the bigger room in the aisles, the priority seats,
- 34:41the headphones, the larger print. That's brilliant.
- 34:44Well done. That sounds really, really cool. Really promising.
- 34:47And I think it's important. I think Liam said in March, it is at the end of
- 34:50the day, an event with 3000 people coming in and out.
- 34:53So it's tricky. But the fact you've got the, I know last year people were a
- 34:57bit surprised to find out there was a quiet room.
- 35:00And I know a lot of people would have loved to have known it and it sounds like
- 35:03you guys have realised that it wasn't very well signposted or something but
- 35:06this year it'll be easy to find, I take it. Loads of messaging.
- 35:11I think we just lose sight of the fact that, you know, I've worked in events
- 35:18for over 10 years now and I do sometimes forget. I just assume that everyone knows. Yeah.
- 35:27Even our adverts, you know, therapy show, this date, buy a ticket.
- 35:34What is therapy show? Wait, am I welcome? And, you know, we do need to work
- 35:40on being, well, I think we have. This year we focused on being much clearer.
- 35:44And, yeah, the messaging around exactly what facilities are available to everyone
- 35:49is a massive priority for us.
- 35:51Signage on site included in that.
- 35:54Yes. Sounds really cool. and it's all part of the fact that we've talked about
- 35:59this so much in the show obviously i'm biased being autistic myself and that
- 36:02and it's kind of an ugly chat with you guys we've talked with other people but,
- 36:06it's all of these changes you make don't just help,
- 36:10the person who's being diagnosed with something it just helps everybody because
- 36:13you're looking at individual changes which will affect people who will just
- 36:17benefit from it all you know no one's going to go oh not large print again that's
- 36:20really annoying exactly of course they're not no one's gonna go wow,
- 36:23this aisle is way too wide.
- 36:24I'm not in a wheelchair. I don't need it. Come on, it's just like it's accessibility
- 36:29is what it's supposed to be.
- 36:31No one complains about a ramp on a shop to let wheelchairs in if there's steps
- 36:35as well. It's just, it's really cool. It sounds really well done. It sounds really cool.
- 36:39On that topic, I just want to quickly let people know, where are we?
- 36:43841 of a couple of presentations we've got, which kind of tie in with all of that.
- 36:48Let me just bring this up. So like I said, I joked about you having half an
- 36:51hour but you have got half an hour after after Dr.
- 36:54Lorna mostly finishes but if you go over to.
- 36:58The clinical skills lab I'll be on at 10 30 and I'll be giving a talk called,
- 37:04changing the room not the person neurodiversity and MSK clinical practice details
- 37:08of this will be in the show notes obviously and it's on the screen at the moment
- 37:11for those of you watching YouTube but essentially,
- 37:14to give you in a nutshell I'll be using my own experience of being autistic
- 37:18together with information I'm doing on a MA inclusion at University of Birmingham,
- 37:22to kind of show you guys how...
- 37:25Often in healthcare, we focus our attempts to help people when they come to
- 37:29see us in our clinic, which means our environment with our way of working and
- 37:33our rules and our way of communicating,
- 37:36and research and evidence and everything is heading towards now understanding
- 37:40how important the environment is and how sometimes modifying what we think works
- 37:45and how the way we speak, modifying that to suit the person in front of us can
- 37:50really get better outcomes.
- 37:51So it'll be again a lot of it will tie in with if you are working with a neurodivergent
- 37:55individual but it's it's essentially we're looking at how to really create proper
- 38:00person-centered care because you'll be asking the individual is this okay if
- 38:04you is this musical right,
- 38:05when you get to what clinic do you need a quiet place to sit down,
- 38:08just questions which don't come naturally because we're taught to be the giver
- 38:13and the operator and we'll put this on because everyone loves whale music or
- 38:16everybody loves this everybody loves uh to lie down on the couch under a bright
- 38:19light it makes and feel like instead we're going to ask the client stuff.
- 38:22So that's what I'll be talking about, which I'm very excited about.
- 38:24That'll be 10, 13, day two.
- 38:26And then also on day one, 11.45, I'm going to be joined by three fantastic neurodivergent
- 38:33educators, Sarah Mihag, Rosie Sexton, and James Dua Haggart, who are all.
- 38:39Also admins in my Facebook group.
- 38:42And we're together going to be putting together a panel debate called Beyond
- 38:45Awareness, Neuroaffirmative Practice, and MSK Care,
- 38:48which again yes it's going to give you lots of ideas and tips on how to be more
- 38:54neuroaffirmative how to not see it as a deficit but just see it as a way of
- 38:57helping people with a different way of looking and perceiving stuff,
- 39:01but as i said before it'll just help you become more patient centered and you'll
- 39:04end up just providing a more individualized care which is essentially what we all need to do,
- 39:08so yeah there's a couple of things which if you are interested in that topic
- 39:11and i think the fact that they're on there and that therapy show have been graceful
- 39:14enough to let me put in a couple of pieces like that just shows how forward
- 39:18and progressive you guys are
- 39:19and how you're helping the community whatever community all communities.
- 39:23And if you are listening to that and thinking that sounds really cool and you
- 39:26are a neurodivergent practitioner, then come along to the Facebook group,
- 39:29Neurodivergent Practitioners in Health and Care. Just look it up on Facebook.
- 39:33It is for neurodivergent practitioners. So there are a few questions there,
- 39:37but it's all kind of a psychologically safe place for you guys to hang out and
- 39:40ask us questions and to show experiences. So there we go.
- 39:44Sorry for interrupting this show, but there's information. It does all tie in.
- 39:47Excellent. Yeah, yeah. I think it's just great that you guys are giving us that platform.
- 39:51So really excited about that. thank you guys for giving me that and and yeah.
- 39:57So where are we 844 what else are we excited about the msk stream mentioned
- 40:02before it's very multidisciplinary,
- 40:05but that means that there's a space for everybody you've got some great speakers
- 40:09in the msk stream give us a little
- 40:11idea of who you've got coming along you're excited about yeah the msk stream
- 40:15is led by dr amanda and dr sharon so which we're super excited about that they've
- 40:20given such great feedback and they've really helped us put together this,
- 40:24the stream and also the content with regards behind it so we're super excited
- 40:29about that and people are able to earn like 12 cpd points over the two days.
- 40:34Uh which is really really really good and then from that we have,
- 40:40we have a lot of sessions i think it is six sessions we have professor roger
- 40:44kerry that will also be delivering test A lovely, lovely speaker,
- 40:48which he's super excited about.
- 40:50But he's on the 26th of November, so that will be the Thursday.
- 40:54And then we've got none other than Uzo delivering a great session on the Wednesday.
- 41:02That's a big one for strength and rehab and strength and conditioning and all
- 41:06that sort of stuff. Yeah, that's a huge name.
- 41:08Sorry, who else? Adam Dobson, you said? Yeah, amazing.
- 41:12You've got some great names. And all of these people, for me,
- 41:15knowing that I've known them for a long time, kind of going back to 213,
- 41:19they all do so represent multidisciplinary care.
- 41:23You know, last year, Uzo and Matt Lowe and a couple other people were involved in this.
- 41:28Great presentation about multidisciplinary care of guiding somebody through
- 41:32the whole process from the subjective and there's kind of a philosophical look
- 41:36at what the subjective should be and then there was ooze over this stuff and it was brilliant,
- 41:40so that's so cool you've got that going that sounds like again just an evolution
- 41:43of what worked last year very exciting.
- 41:47The msk stream is taking place in theater b,
- 41:51mainly and it's got a dedicated section on the website so if you're interested to look at the sessions,
- 41:56specifically all the information is on the website but yeah it's the the part
- 42:02is really difficult because i get asked by keanu most days you know right we've
- 42:06got you know let's do some highlights who should we highlight and i'm like i don't know everyone,
- 42:11we've got you know jack chew is has got joe gibson doing a session with her
- 42:16like a what is it joe gibson shoulder and that physio matters live on stage
- 42:20in theater to a camera marshall,
- 42:23from complete concussions doing loads of stuff around concussions mike rice
- 42:28chris norris daniel lawrence uh coming back to do some amazing sessions anna maria of course.
- 42:36Where would i be where would i be anna maria she'll be there kate williams is
- 42:41doing some sessions obviously kiani mentioned ouzo yeah you can download the
- 42:45program on the conference page so So click on the conference page and you can
- 42:49literally download the PDF,
- 42:51of the conference.
- 42:53The app will be released soon, so you'll have access to see the program on the app very, very soon.
- 42:58But yeah, like I said, the speaker lineup, Matt, obviously, you're on there
- 43:02and up there is always popular. Got to be early to your session.
- 43:06It's just there's so much to see. And of course, everyone can upgrade and get
- 43:12the session recordings.
- 43:15So anything you miss, you can actually go back and get the sessions anyway.
- 43:18So you don't miss anything. Very cool. That's new. I didn't know about that.
- 43:21Tell us a little bit more about that.
- 43:22That's really cool. Another thing we do every year.
- 43:25But again, we just don't shout about it enough. We kind of assume that,
- 43:29you know, everyone that talks to Salah on the phone, our lovely Delegate Telesales
- 43:33lady, we just assume that everyone knows about it.
- 43:37You can actually, I think it's £20, Keanu, to upgrade your ticket and you get
- 43:42the recordings from every single session.
- 43:45Really audio recordings audio recordings and visuals so the presentations yeah
- 43:52the slides wow that's cool unless the speaker of course has ticked the box saying
- 43:56they do not want their slides being shared.
- 43:59Just in case any speakers are watching the show and they're worried about that,
- 44:03I don't think any have so far touch wood unless of course they've ticked that box but,
- 44:08usually everyone's pretty happy to have their sessions because it's part of
- 44:13the therapy show ticket upgrade.
- 44:16Sounds good. Sounds amazing.
- 44:17Okay. Well, we've already kind of touched on prices. What do we,
- 44:20sadly people, okay, don't come at us now going, we didn't know about the 49 pound offer.
- 44:24There was about three shows. We had these guys on at the end of the last year
- 44:27saying, get your ticket now. We've done it in March and we're doing it.
- 44:30So yeah, you've missed the 49 pound people, but there are, what offers have
- 44:34we got on now for people who are thinking, okay, I need to go and see these people.
- 44:39What offers are we on? So for all STA members, the current offer is £149 plus VAT.
- 44:46As the original ticket price is £199 plus VAT and after the 25th of September
- 44:51the ticket prices will increase to £299, so £300.
- 44:56Okay, right. And if you are,
- 45:00In the STA, you want to get a hold of that discount, then just go to the STA
- 45:03members page and you'll see the details there. Or you can send an email,
- 45:07the normal email address for STA.
- 45:09And if you're with another professional association, then do make sure.
- 45:12This is why the idea of being part of a professional association,
- 45:15the idea is that they are looking out for you and helping you get to these events
- 45:19for a little bit cheaper than because you're part of the association. So, yeah. So, look out.
- 45:24Us we've got various you know codes and and everything because the full price
- 45:28ticket is one 199 pounds at the moment but there's various different codes even
- 45:33on our website there's a pop-up that comes up to bring the ticket price to 169 equally,
- 45:40we'll obviously give you guys the number of sala if,
- 45:45anything at all so group discounts if you and a colleague or more than one other
- 45:49colleague want to attend call sala up because she can do you special rates you
- 45:53know it's important to us to make it as accessible as possible.
- 45:57I'm not going to sit here and tell you that's the price and if you can't afford it then don't come.
- 46:02No, there's no chance in hell we do that.
- 46:05Salah can definitely help out as much as possible. Equally, we do one-day passes.
- 46:09So calling Salah over the phone, she can accommodate where needed.
- 46:14That's cool. I'm not sure how popular it was last year, but I know a lot of
- 46:16people have said to me, I wish I could just go for one day and you do offer that.
- 46:20So we'll make sure Salah's phone number goes in the show notes.
- 46:24But if you are listening to the podcast and you've got a pen or paper or maybe
- 46:28a stylus to make it a little bit modern, then type in this number. it's 02086 184 884.
- 46:37So that's 02086 184 884.
- 46:42Speak to Salah and then yeah, let them know what the deal is one day or the group membership.
- 46:47If there's any other reason which you've got where you can't afford the ticket,
- 46:50then that's the person to talk to. Exciting.
- 46:53Marvellous. I mean, if you're an STA member and you're not sure about accommodation
- 46:57and stuff like that, if you have left it to a little bit last minute dot com, that's fine.
- 47:00I'm not going to judge you for that but i just want to put some support in place
- 47:04if you have and you're struggling then just reach out to the sta airbnbs are
- 47:08still available you may well find there's four other people struggling you can get a lovely little
- 47:13how i say a nice big house this is which is what we do a lot of the speakers
- 47:17do as well you can get somewhere that's like 50 minute drive away
- 47:21and for a reasonable price if there's five of you in there and have a nice meal
- 47:24and it can turn it into a great event let the accommodation be part of the show okay that's it yeah.
- 47:31That's 2027 there now,
- 47:34brilliant fine that's it look at us we're 852 is there anything else you feel
- 47:40that we should mention for our wonderful listeners on the podcast or people who join us live.
- 47:48I would urge everyone to go and look at the program on the website uh you know,
- 47:53i can throw out names that come to the top of my mind but equally we have so
- 47:57many practical workshops vivo barefoot,
- 48:00are coming back and doing they're amazing you know everyone shoes and socks
- 48:04off workshop around being barefoot.
- 48:08Yeah there's there's so much and even the from an exhibitor perspective,
- 48:12the the offering that's there this year is crazy you know we've got some some
- 48:18products that have blown my mind you know just hearing about them and seeing
- 48:22them as well when I've met out with people,
- 48:24yeah there's special offers and discounts being given out at the event,
- 48:29which you know is,
- 48:31perfect if if you've got a supplier that you buy off every year come to therapy
- 48:36show and actually get a bit more of a discount through being there,
- 48:41but yeah check out the program would be my biggest advice check out the exhibitor
- 48:44list and and make sure you're signed up to the newsletters and following our
- 48:49social media because we're we're hammering updates every day we have a new update,
- 48:55it's yeah it's really really exciting,
- 48:58that's great yes i was going to say therapy show on social media it's all wonderful
- 49:03now it's pretty much therapy show everywhere so you want to go the website therapy
- 49:06show.co.uk you want to go instagram therapy show
- 49:09facebook therapy show the only one is twitter which i'm proud to say now i'm
- 49:13not proud but i'm happy to say that is therapy show uk you've got a capital uk at the end,
- 49:17so that's great great use of social media,
- 49:20i remember back in 2000 and.
- 49:24I want to say maybe 15. This shows how old it was. There was a competition of,
- 49:29who could get the most hits on hashtags.
- 49:32So the hashtag was like TherapyExpo214 or something. And I won it.
- 49:37I got it. I got an Amazon voucher for £100. Well done. I wish you did it again.
- 49:40Just for, I don't know whether tags are so popular these days.
- 49:43But yeah, it just goes back. Because that was a revolutionary thing, hashtag.
- 49:47And we were all there all day long. It was me against Jack Chew.
- 49:50If she swears I cheated, I just beat him at the end.
- 49:53You know what you got to do exactly jack i'm sorry mate you know.
- 49:58Anyway so yeah that was that was a good time so right thank you so much again
- 50:02charlotte and kiana giving it your time,
- 50:04it's all very exciting but like you say people have a look at the program now
- 50:08it's 10 weeks to go don't arrive on the day go right what is there because believe
- 50:11me you'll just get bamboozled with so much and you'll feel like you've lost
- 50:15out because you'll just be looking at what you haven't got time to look at.
- 50:19So set your kind of itinerary now. You can always change on the day,
- 50:23but don't just arrive the day. Go, right, what have we got? Because it's just too much.
- 50:27Okay. There's way too much. Have a little look now with 10 weeks to go and just
- 50:30arrive a bit more relaxed. You can always tweak it there.
- 50:34Fine. Thank you so much everyone for joining us. Thank you for people who joined
- 50:37us live and for the questions.
- 50:39If you are listening to podcasts and you do have a question,
- 50:41then my advice would be go along to the Sports Therapy Association YouTube channel,
- 50:45and leave a question on there.
- 50:47Okay, we monitor that and there's more of a shelf life than on Facebook.
- 50:50So leave a comment question there and then we will get back to you.
- 50:53If it's a question I need to fire at Charlotte or Keanu, then I'll let them
- 50:56know and then we'll respond on the YouTube feed.
- 50:59And don't let the conversation finish now. We've got 10 weeks to go.
- 51:03Not next week or the week after, but as of then, from three weeks onwards,
- 51:06we'll have guests, speakers from the show to come on and give you a little insight
- 51:09of what they'll be doing.
- 51:11If that an interest, actually, if there is any particular speaker you see on
- 51:14the program who you'd like us to get on the show, if you give me enough notice,
- 51:17we can do, we can maybe do something about that if you'd like to get on the show.
- 51:20So send matt at the sta.co.uk who you'd like to see as a guest on this show,
- 51:24and I will do my best to contact them and get them on here to give you a little
- 51:27insight of what they'll be talking about and that sort of stuff.
- 51:30Right. That's it. Episode 300 done. Wow. That's it. 301 next week.
- 51:40Thanks again, everybody. I suppose I should say thank you for everybody.
- 51:42Double thank you for making it to us to help us get to 300, particularly those who join us live.
- 51:48I wouldn't do these if they weren't live. We'd never get around to it.
- 51:50I wouldn't be able to organize it. I haven't got the executive functioning.
- 51:53Live is easy. I could just do boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. And I've proved it. 300. Bam. Yeah.
- 51:57Well done you. Yeah. Well done you. Kind of a close. Thank you very much.
- 52:01So there we go. So yeah, if you do listen to podcasts, and I appreciate that
- 52:05as well, but the one thing you do need to do is just like it and leave a rating
- 52:09or review or something, because that really helps.
- 52:12If someone puts in therapy show or someone puts in MSK conference,
- 52:16then this will appear higher up as long as you put a rating and a review.
- 52:20It's the way it works. Okay, so please do on your favorite podcast app on YouTube.
- 52:25Don't just say, that was a really good show.
- 52:27Do something about it. Leave a rating and review. it's so important it doesn't
- 52:30cost anything apart from your time which i know is valuable but we're talking
- 52:33about 60 seconds so please do that for us
- 52:36just have a quick check for any final comments gary benson founder of the sta
- 52:40has said thanks charlotte and kiana for updating us i look forward to seeing
- 52:44you in november i'm looking forward to that too as well looking forward seeing
- 52:47you guys that's gonna be great one for me one of the
- 52:50best that there's so many best things about therapy show but it's so nice just
- 52:54to maintain that face-to-face thing so
- 52:56yeah that's Sort of looking forward to just being in the same room as people
- 52:58who we see on social media.
- 53:01Right, I'm going on again now. Thanks, people. We'll be back next week with
- 53:05episode 301 with a special episode
- 53:08on stomas, being aware of them and what you can do as a soft tissue therapist
- 53:12because you could well find yourself somebody who has got that,
- 53:15who's recovering from it.
- 53:16And do you know what to do? You will if you listen to next week's episode.
- 53:20Thanks, Charlotte. Thanks, Keanu. Thank you. Thank you so much.
- 53:23We'll speak again soon. No worries at all. Take care, people.
