- Sarahn: Hello, beautiful people. Today is August 24th, and today's calendar challenge is honor your unique joy. Our quote for this month is we have to risk being fully alive, fully human, fully awake, fully joyful. Today I want you to honor your unique joy. Your joy doesn't have to look like anyone else's. What brings someone else Happiness may leave you completely unmoved, and that's okay. Your joy is allowed to be personal, specific, and maybe even a little weird. Stop comparing your joy to someone else's and pay attention to what genuinely lights you up. What makes you lose track of time? What do you look forward to? What makes you feel most like yourself? Lean into that and celebrate your joy. Also, remember: your joy doesn't have to be productive. Not everything you enjoy needs to make you money or improve your resume, burn calories, or accomplish a goal. Sometimes the point is simply that it feels good. Celebrate what feels good and give yourself permission to love what you love. One of my favorite. Quotes. ⁓ I'm not even gonna repeat it exactly the way it's written because I don't know, but it goes something like if you are enjoying your time, it is not a waste of time, no matter what you were doing. And I love that. Maybe your joy is dancing, reading, gardening, reality TV, collecting things, dressing up. Taking long walks, making playlists, cooking, sitting in complete silence. If it brings you joy, it counts. And your joy can change. What brought you joy five years ago may not bring you joy today. You're allowed to outgrow things, discover new interests, and change your mind. Don't apologize for your joy. You do not need to explain why something fulfills you. The reason is because you enjoy it. So know yourself more. Better understand what brings you joy. And you can be more intentional to build a life that feels like the life you love. Mm-mm-mm. Do one thing today that brings you joy, even if nobody else understands why you love it. You don't need permission to enjoy your life in the way that is yours. Honor what makes you light up and make more room for it. Just enough is more than enough, Saran says.
