- The Drama Drop: guys, welcome back to the drama drop. Apparently, common sense has left the building because there's a podcaster running a betting ad on a murder trial case. We have Alix Earle, she's airing out all of her family drama on her new Netflix show and finally addressing the feud with Alix Cooper. There's mess to unpack, sides to take, decisions that desperately need to be discussed. So buckle up, get ready because the drama drops now. Guys, has everyone lost their mind? I mean, honestly, I don't know if you guys have heard well, I know you know of the Clancy case that's going on, obviously. but I don't know if you guys have heard of Amanda Hirsch. She's the host of Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. And her whole polymarket, I don't even know if scandal's the right word, but just controversy. so let me just back up a little bit. Okay, so Amanda Hirsch, she's the host of Not Skinny, Not Fat. You know, she kind of covers a variety of things, like mainly pop culture, reality TV, like sometimes it's a solo pod. She'll have people on, whatever, yada yada. And as most podcasts do, they have ads, they have sponsorships, they have brand deals that they talk about within their episode. anyways, so it was kind of crazy. So she had an ad for polymarket, which is like, okay, whatever, you know, I've been seeing that here and like, I don't know if gambling is trying to expand its horizons and clientele and reach out to women or whatever. You know, there's always sports betting and things like that. But now with this whole polymarket thing, there's A variety of things you can bet on when it comes to, you know, like maybe reality TV, like who's gonna be the winner of Dancing with the Stars, or like who's gonna get voted out week six? You know, you can place little bets and win money, whatever, kind of just to help create a gambling addiction, I suppose. but anyways, it was just kind of crazy because she's talking about polymarket. Okay, so obviously, like this is like a brand deal, a sponsorship. But within this. with the use of the polymarket, like an example, a scenario that she gave on which you can use within polymarket is in regards to the Clancy murder trial. And obviously this did not go well. So first of all, it's just kind of weird because she's been very open about this case and talking about it, you know, not even just from a standpoint of Hey, here's an update. Like, this is what's going on. This is my thoughts. Like, she's been very vocal and emotional about it. You know, she's a mother herself and she's like, guys, like, let's not forget that, you know, three young children were tragically taken away from this world. Like, there's a lot of, you know, speculation. Like, people love to go down rabbit holes. They love to pick a side. They love to create theories or whatever. You know, for whatever reason, like us as people, we just really gravitate towards tragedy as Dark as that sounds, it's just true. I don't it's just like intriguing. I don't know. But you know, and she's always really trying to hone in and like, you know, finger on the pulse, be like, remember, these are three young kids. They lost their lives tragically, like it's crazy, you know, been very emotional about it. and anyways, so it's just kind of crazy that she is talking about this. making sure people don't lose sight of what actually is going on, like with this whole trial situation, and is combining this with a polymarket ad basically saying like you can place bets on this trial, like the outcome of the trial, like what's gonna happen of that. And I just think that that is insane, right? Like can we all agree? Can we all collectively agree that that is kind of crazy? Like you are going to, you have this brand sponsorship deal, whatever. And it's like, I don't know how you could even consider this to slip through the cracks. Like, I would imagine like at some point, maybe, you know, if you've been doing this for so many years, you get lots of brands, sponsorship deals, whatever. And then like you're just kind of reading it. It kind of becomes mindless, maybe. You know, you're just reading words off a screen or a piece of paper and like not even recognizing what you're saying because it just kind of becomes Just like a muscle memory, just like something you're just doing, you know, that you don't even recognize. But I feel like something like this, like this heavy. How did and surely there's gotta be an approval process, right? Like she has managers, she's under Deer Media, which is like a huge media production company, like podcasts, like they have so many podcasts under, like there's gotta be multiple layers of people that this is going through. And at no point nobody was like, hey, this seems kind of not it. Like this is kind of crazy to be like, hey, you can place bets on this murder trial, where three young children lost their lives tragically. Like that doesn't make any sense. Like, I don't know how no one was like, ooh, this is not in good taste. This is disgusting, actually. probably not the best thing to use the polymarket. Like there's so many other things that you can place bets on through Polymarket. This doesn't seem like the one to use. but you know, so she immediately, of course, got lots of backlash and did the whole thing that, you know, I love where it's like, okay, you're gonna post your apology, you're gonna put it on a screen, you're gonna do the text and All that and it's just kind of like okay, you know, and I'm not saying that I think she needs to be canceled by any means. Like I don't really fully believe in cancel culture, like people make mistakes, whatever, yada yada, you move on and You just, I don't know, like you can grow from things like that. But I mean, this one is just it's so, it's so crazy to me. I'm like, so, you know, you're trying to bring light, you're trying to make sure people remember and like really pay, you know, I don't even know what the right word is, but it's just kind of like take yourself out of the media, take yourself out of the entertainment of it, and just remember these lives that were lost and just this crazy terrible situation. But then in the same regard, profiting off of it and also telling other people to kind of make it a game almost, you know, like lose sight of what it is. I mean, we've just really become so desensitized to just tragedy, which is not really any fault of like us, just like as individuals. It's just the way the world is with how much access we have to media and things like that. It's like things become so shocking and it's like, my gosh, that's terrible. But then, you know, you can really quickly move on from something comes out of sight, out of mind, and it's just like another thing that is a tragedy, another thing that's happened. but yeah, I don't know. I just find it very kind of yucky and gross to profit and make money in a way off of this trial. I mean, kind of indirectly, because I mean basically, you know, it's a polymarket ad. So it's like an ad in sponsorship with Polymarket, but To use this case as something that you can place a bet on. Like that's right. Like we can all agree that that is just absolutely insane. I hope, I don't know, I haven't even looked. I have don't even never even touch polymarket or anything like that. But I would hope that that isn't on there anymore. Like, hopefully that is not an avid like there's I think politics, sports, I'm pretty sure maybe, like whatever. But I feel like Crimes and cases and murder tri or trials, especially involving children, should not even be an option of things to place bet on. like, I don't know. I don't know. I just feel it's very gross. It's very just there's no other words that I can say to really describe it. I just think it's kind of crazy because, you know, she had been talking about it and a mother and like and how no one, no one whenever they were going through all of this. was like, hey, that doesn't seem like a good idea. And you know, too, like I know that there's ads sometimes that are read. It's just kind of like, you know, when you're on the radio or listening to the radio and it's like they have a commercial, preview, whatever. And that's somebody else is reading it. But it's like you as the host, the podcast host, you are reading it yourself. And the words aren't clicking to you that ooh, I probably this does not, this is not gonna go over well. But, anyways, like said, she apologized for it. I mean, I'm sh yes, obviously. Like she realized after the fact when people started pointing it out that hey, that doesn't really make a lot of sense. but yeah, I don't know. I think I don't think Deer Media posted anything addressing anything. Cause I would think, too, just with it being the c main company, the management company. production, all that. Like she's not a woman of one. Like she is the whole team, like it's a professional company. I don't think any of them have spoke out about it. Like, how did this get how did this slip through the cracks? Slip through the cracks. Didn't really slip through the cracks, but how did no one think, this this is a little bit weird. But I just had to bring that up because I just thought that that was actually so insane. And it's just weird too because I mean I dabble in that podcast every once in a while. and she just doesn't seem like somebody that would like not think of that. You know, like she does not to me seem like somebody that she would be like, ooh, yeah, like this is a good sponsorship deal and add and kind of cause like sometimes people read ads and they kind of make it more personal. It's like, you know, they're talking to you basically and just kind of like, this is how I use this in my everyday life, you know, making it more of like a storytelling versus just whatever ad is like on the radio or like T V, things like that. But I don't know, yeah, I I just I was very shocked. And you know, and I hear of things of like Polymarket, but it's like if you want to use it about the Love Island reunion or the Super Bowl company like that makes sense. Okay, cool, whatever. But this was a whole nother level. So yeah, I just feel like I don't know. I mean, what can you do really? Like, it's not a cancelable offense. I mean, and again, I don't believe in cancel culture. But it's just kind of like, does that lose your credibility as a podcast host? You know, you're being very adamant about your feelings and making sure people recognize the severity of this case and truly what it means, like not lose sight of it. But then again, you're going to basically make it make it a gambling game. So And if you weren't really paying attention, then are you paying attention to any ad that you endorse or like any sponsorship deal? Like are you just taking whatever comes your way and not really thinking of it? You know what I mean? I don't know. so it'll be interesting. Like I truly, at the end of the day, I don't think anything's gonna happen because it never really fully does unless you do something completely crazy like Jax Taylor. But I mean, it'll blow over, people will forget about it. But I just had to address it because I thought that that was actually insane. And I think I'm gonna go look on Polymarket after this and just kind of see like, is this actually something, a category that people can dabble in to gamble for? Like I I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, I would be very careful on any ads that I would read moving forward. So but I mean you can't go back and listen to it. I'm pretty sure she deleted that whole ad or maybe the episode altogether, but as she should, as she should. And, you know, she in her apology too, she also mentioned that, you know, she was just so consumed by the case. And I'm just thinking, like, if you were so emotionally invested in it, this would be very obviously inappropriate. sponsorship deal. Like this would be very just not landing as something that you should promote to your audience and advertise and tell people to go do. Like that doesn't make any sense at all. but yeah terrible judgment and we'll see how that how she handles that moving forward. I'll be I'll be very curious. but And other news, Earle Meets World has officially dropped on Netflix. Now, I will be completely honest with you, I haven't finished the entire series yet. Okay. I think I'm on episode six. So I have six, seven, and eight. So I have like three more episodes that I need to get through. Thankfully, they're pretty quick. but I just wanted to talk about it from what I've watched so far. Because this has been a long anticipated thing, at least for me, I'm sure for all of you. So I was super excited whenever it dropped. And I wasn't able to start it like as soon as it dropped. So I was really itching to, you know, get to all the buzz because I was seeing little clips of people talking about it. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews. I've heard some people say that it's super boring. I've heard people say that it's really good. I've Just kind of heard a mix of things and I honestly could see both because you know, I don't I wasn't really expecting, like, here's the thing it's her family. So I wasn't really expecting anything to be like super dramatic and drama and my gosh, scandal. Like, I can't believe this is going on. To me, it Is very much the Kardashian adjacent, you know. Like I feel like this is definitely the next generation of Kardashian Jenner type of family where it's like, okay, maybe we have some sort of family conflict or like one person is having an issue and like the family's trying to like pick up the pieces, you know, we all come together in the end and You know, the previews, of course, are they're gonna be little teasers, cliffhangers, make you think that there's gonna be so much drama, so much more storyline going on and yada yada yada, you tune in. But at the end of the day, I mean, it is a family and they're a very strong family. They've been through a lot together, as we already know, just like with the history. So it's not like anything really huge and substantial is going to make or break this family, at least, you know, not until the not up to this point. But we're just so intrigued by this family as a whole and we're intrigued by Alix Earle and her life and everything that we will tune in. So I mean, I feel like it's entertaining in that regard. Cause I will be honest, I never really tuned into the Kardashians as much as I love them. I find them very entertaining. But, you know, I never I would watch episodes here and there, but it was nothing that I kept up with and was like, ooh, the season's dropping. I need to make sure that I tune in and watch all the episodes, yada yada. But from my time of just, you know, being into reality TV and pop culture, like there was never really a huge moment, like at least for like just like the family. I mean, I guess maybe the Jordan, Tristan situation, like with Chloe. But, you know, it's just kind of things like That they're each dealing with maybe into you know, I don't know. I don't really know how if you're even understanding where I'm going with this. I just don't think it's gonna be anything, you know, like Vanderpump rules type of drama, the valley type of drama. secret lives of Mormon Wives, like nothing like that. But we're so intrigued by this family and the dynamic that we will be tuning in, you know? So good for her on that. so like I said, I mean, I've enjoyed it so far. There's nothing and I think that's probably why I haven't finished yet, because these episodes, I'm not like, ooh, I'm clinging, you know, I'm clutching my pearls trying to see what happens next. There hasn't really been any of that. but it's more just kind of interesting learning the history of things or kind of learning more of this perspective, that person's perspective, and kind of getting insight in that and dynamics. So I don't know. I've enjoyed it. But so I just want to go over some of the things that really stood out to me the most. So one thing that I was really interested in with starting this show, I was very curious to see the dynamic of the family as a whole because seeing them on social media and TikTok, like if you don't know the lore of the Earls and just kind of how that whole thing became. So Ashley Dupree, you know, she was pretty much somebody that would go on dates with people, like of high caliber and kind of just like a paid escort, I guess, if you will, we'll just call it what it is. and TJ, you know, Alix and Ashen, their dad, he's married to their mom, but he was hanging out with Ashley Dupree. And like it became this whole scandal. Long story short, you know, they end up getting married, whatever. and anyways, but they go on to have like three other kids. So it's almost like one big family. It's a blended family. But what's really points out to me is the fact that they all will be together in family gatherings, like holidays, vacations, I don't know. Like you just will see them all hanging out, or you know, there'll be TikToks posted. They're all together. Like I'm talking Alex's mom. Alyssa and then Ashley, her stepmom. And it's just, I don't know. So I was like, wait, that's actually so crazy. I mean, good for them, I guess, but do they actually get along? Are they friends? Like, how did this whole thing come about? So I was really intrigued to see the history and how it got to be what it is. But I was fascinated to learn that that's not actually the case. Like, it's not all. sunshine and rainbows. So that also just goes to show how we all know, not everything that you see online is fact or whatever. You know, you can kind of curate whatever narried narrative you want. And that's exactly what I feel like has happened because just visually it seemed like everybody was like, all happy and moved on and done yada yada yada. And we can like hang out whenever we need to and it's it's perfect. But anyways, so Yeah, I was really curious to see the dynamic. And so, you know, Ash, like I wasn't sure how I really felt about Ashley. In my, you know, I look at it a couple of different ways. Okay. but I will just say, so far, like I said, I still have some more episodes to finish. But like, I don't hate Ashley. Like I was going into it thinking I was like, okay, for some reason I feel like she is going to be very insufferable or just kind of. There's just gonna be a vibe about her that I'm not going to like or enjoy whatever, you know. I just really don't know much about her and like her personality and how she handles her relationship with Alix and Ashton. But I was like, okay, like I really like Ashley. And you know, I feel like when she was telling her side of the story and just of her history and like how she got with TJ and stuff, Obviously, you know, not a perfect situation whatsoever. Like that is not ideal by any means. But one thing that sticks out to me is I'm like, okay, they got married. You know, they're still together. They have three kids. And, you know, she's not in that lifestyle anymore. Like, there is obviously like for whatever, in a weird way, like however they ended up together, like it seems like, okay, that was supposed to be. what it ended up being. If it's super messy, okay. But she just seemed, you know, very much like I understood my position coming into this family. You know, like I didn't want to be too much or, you know, she really wanted to have a good relationship with Alix and Ashin. And, you know, it's like you're trying to figure that out and make sure that, you know, it's it's it's sensitive because the way everything started was a little bit crazy and messy. So she's trying to just like figure out her place. And but yeah, how I view it honestly is it really almost seems like in a weird way, she's like the third sister of Alix and Ashton. Disregard like the younger kids. Okay. I'm just saying it's like, it's like their big sister. Because you just kind of see throughout the show, they argue with her, but yet at the same time, they enjoy her, they value her opinion. They, you know, don't want to hurt her feelings. They actually care about her feelings. And so it's just is such an interesting dynamic between all of them. And I actually really enjoy seeing it. And I also find it too, you know, there are times Alix annoyed because Ashley's going on TikTok and she's making comments or making videos, pretty much defending. Alix in whatever situation there may be. And Alix is like, no, don't do that. Cause then that makes me look bad. And to me, I'm like, that gives older sister vibes. It's like, you're not gonna mess with Alix. I'm coming to her defense, whatever. But then it just like makes things worse. I don't know. It's it's just very interesting to me. Like their dynamic. And then, of course, you know, you throw in Alix and Ashton's mom in the mix, and I just feel like, of course, you know, there's always gonna be some weird tension there. But I feel like for the most part, like Alyssa, like she does a really good job at understanding that, like, okay, this is the situation. This is what it is. And, you know, I wanna make it work. I wanna make it comfortable for my kids. so she understands that there may be some blended activities, but also too, at the same time, I can't go to every single thing. but yeah, so there's just like a lot going on there. And watching it, I really do feel for Alix and Ashton because I will say I do think they have more emotional maturity and intelligence than their parental figures. I don't know. I was super annoyed. So there's this one scene where They're all going on a trip, whatever. And, you know, it's like you don't want TJ, so their dad. It's like you don't want your ex-wife coming to every single trip with you and your family. And you're like, your current wife. And I guess Alyssa got, or Alyssa got all upset and up in arms about that and was just like, my gosh, yada, yada, and just behaved really child. Like and very immature. And it's like, you know, Ashton and Alec, like they always have to make sure they're like teeter tottering, don't want to step on eggshells, don't want to hurt people's feelings. And that's exhausting by the end of the day. You know, being a people pleaser, you know, oldest child syndrome. Like I get it. It's like you don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. You want to keep the peace. You want everything to keep flowing. And it's just like, my gosh, like you can only handle so much. And you're just trying to like make sure everything runs smoothly. That was stressful. And I feel for them on that. because I totally get that. It's like you just don't want there to be any hiccups. You don't you don't want there to be any issues, but you know, sometimes like that happens. And yeah, I don't know. I just felt like sometimes their parents gave them a little bit too much of a headache when it came to that type of thing. And then I'll get into more of like the Alix Cooper side of it all, but just to kind of go back to Ashley Dupree and Alix, you know, you kind of see where their relations or, you know, they talk about where their relationship kind of got very rocky because of this whole thing with Alix Earle going on to call her daddy and pretty much just revisiting. the whole situation and how everything went down with Ashley Depree because I guess Ashley had worked really hard to kind of put that all in the past. You know, that's in the archives of her life. Very historical, you know, being able to move on and create a whole new life and reinvent herself and just leave all of that behind her and just move on. You know, it's like now she has these young children and, you know, they're getting to the age where it's like, you know, social media is everywhere. Kids have access to it way much like at a younger rate. And and then so now it just became her reality again. And obviously very upset by that, you know? And things just had to resurface. And so it just, you know, and it's like I go back and forth on that too, because it's like, yeah, I'm sure that does, you know, it it's kind of creates your trauma. It's like Alix is reliving her trauma and then that reignites. Trauma, I guess, for you in a sense, but it's like, one, to me, that's not Alex's fault. You know, she didn't ask for that. She didn't participate in that. Like, she had no hand in all of that situation. And she's just telling her life, her experience, her story. And honestly, I mean, at the end of the day, she had every right to share that story. Like, sure, maybe she fully didn't think, how could this affect my family? Repercussions, whatever. But I mean, End of the day, too. It's like she didn't really owe that to you. Like she has every right to explain what she wants to explain, what she felt comfortable explaining. And I'm sure, you know, you know, she talks about like regretting all of that because it just opened up wounds again and just had to go through all of that again and create a rift between her and her family. I don't think they talked for a couple months. It was kind of crazy, but yeah, I think that was really just, I don't know. I kind of think it's just. Crazy because it's like the start of all the Alix Earle and Alix Cooper beef. It's like how they became, but also what ultimately kind of started the crumble. And I think, you know, like I said, I'll get into like Alix Cooper and all that, but I think because that's how their working relationship started with this interview that created a lot of issues with the family. I really don't think, no matter what. There was gonna be a fighting chance for Alix Earle and Alix Cooper to have a working relationship. Like it already started off Rocky because this was kind of how it was built. This is where the foundation started on was this interview that Alix did and then having issues with her family. So I just feel like at the end of the day, whatever would have happened, I don't think it would have worked out because of all of that. So yeah, I just mm I don't know. I don't know. and then two, I was really curious to see like the dynamic between her and her friend Sally. because you know, we just see Sally like beep up and around all on TikTok, like with Alix and Ashton and everybody's always like, What does this chick do? Like, how is she able to? work and live life and be able to just like fund like what does she do? You know what I mean? Like how is this her life? And I one thing I really appreciated is she was so self-aware and she called herself a Nepo friend. I find that hilarious. Like that is so funny to me. Cause like yeah, absolutely. but I mean like they go f so far back. I think it was like 14 when they became friends. And so it's like a childhood bestie, you know? It's not like she just came out of nowhere and it's like, ooh, like I can see this girl, Alix. She's gonna be up and coming. I'm gonna leech onto her and I'm never gonna let her go, sink my teeth into her, see what I can get out of her, all these opportunities. Like, no, like they've been friends for a really long time. So it's like, okay, like you can appreciate that dynamic. And so, you know, she's like, I'm a Nepo friend. Like I'm getting all these opportunities and all of that. Because of Alix and I can address that and I can admit that and I own that and there's no shame in it. Hey, I would love to be an epo friend. So if any of my friends want to step it up, this is your cue. I'm waiting on you. Okay. I'm ready to like keep the lights on without having to do anything. So can you let me know? but We learn that she's basically an employee of Alix Earle And so here's one thing that I do want to point out. Okay. Where it's like, you know, we have this Alix Cooper, Alix Earle feud. Sorry, I'm like pivoting for a second, but they are very similar. Like more than I think what they want to admit or realize. I mean, obviously they're very different, but also too, there's so many similarities because if you look at Alix Cooper. She has her friend Lauren and they've been childhood besties. And then, you know, we kind of like were suspect of what does Lauren do? Like, how is she like to do all these things and hang out with Alix and yada yada yada? Well, then we learned, she's her producer now. Like she works for Alix. And now we have the same thing going on with Alix Earle and Sally. It's like, how is how Chick always just beep popping around with Alix? Well, she works for her. So, anyways. but so okay, we learned that she works with Alix, and I was kind of confused exactly like what she so, from my understanding, she was like in charge of her Snapchat. So I guess it was like she was supposed to be the one to distribute posts whenever she needed to make certain posts. I wasn't entirely sure what she did wrong because spoiler alert, she gets fired essentially from Alix. really, that was the call that TJ made. I wasn't entirely sure what she did wrong, but ultimately she got fired, but it wasn't like a huge thing. But I do want to say, I feel like it is very messy to employ your friends because in a perfect world, like, yes, like that sounds absolutely amazing. It's like, ooh, I'm gonna go work for my bestie. Like, this is perfect. Like, She can be the one that gives me the you know, like we can hang out all the time and yada yada. It's like a perfect situation, like beautiful scenario. Love it, absolutely. But at the end of the day, ooh, that's a little risky, right? Just because then it's like, when do you draw the line of like, hey, I'm actually talking to you as a I'm your employer. but then also it's like you're so comfortable with that person, they were your bestie, but it's like, ooh. They're my employer. Like, how am I supposed to talk to my boss like that? You know what I mean? I just feel like in a perfect world, yes, that would be great. but don't think it's always the best case scenario, especially for them. Just from my observations. So it's like if we want to compare the two, if we want to compare Cooper and Lauren to Earle and Sally, completely different, I feel like, in terms of, mmm. I don't even want to say work ethic because we know Alix Earle works very hard. But if we just like look at the main scope of the friendships, it's like you have Earle and Sally, they're very much go, go, go like partiers, like stay up all night, very type B in what they do with their lives, and then just kind of like fly by the seat of their pants, whatever. And then you have Cooper and Lauren and they're seem very much type A or it's like, yeah, they have fun, but it's like they get stuff done. Or it's like Lauren is very much like, okay, this needs to get done, like kind of keep Cooper in check or everybody else in check. You know, it's like two very different dynamics to where it probably does work that Lauren can work for Cooper because like she wants to work. She's gonna make sure things are perfect. Like she's going to make sure deadlines are done. And this is again, I don't know these people person. Personally, so this is just my observations on how these people come across. So sure, there's probably definitely situations in where this can absolutely work and make sense and all of that, but there's a lot more room for error and can cause issues in terms of friendships. And friendships can be ruined. And I mean, here's a perfect example. Like Alex's dad had to kind of be the one to be like, hey. You know, Sally's on the payroll. She's not really doing what we need her to do. Like, you need to be the one to fire her. And she's like, ooh, you know, like wasn't even on her radar that she needed to fire Sally, basically, and kind of just be like, this isn't working. but anyways, yeah, I don't know. I really enjoyed her role on the show. I feel like she's a fun friend. And again, I feel like it makes things better, better. These are people that are from her childhood. So, you know, it just seems a lot more authentic. And it's not like it's just somebody that she just swooped up in the process of her rising to fame. And now we're like, ooh, she's this chick's probably clout chasing just so she can get on a Netflix show. No, it doesn't seem like that at all. but yeah, I feel like she's very she's a fun friend and a very good friend too. I mean, you can just see We see more of, you know, Alix and her breakup with Braxton, and she's there every single step of the way, being there for her through all the terrible decisions and good decisions. But yeah, I really like them. I like the duo. I think it's a really good friendship. And then speaking of the breakup, because as we all know, I mean, it was nice to be able to get some more insight into the breakup and their relationship. So I really appreciated. Alex's vulnerability through all of this. And, you know, it just proves that it's just like, just because you're the one that is making the decision on the breakup doesn't mean that it's any easier on you. It doesn't mean that you're like, ooh, yay, I'm free now. Like I'm going to just go live my life and do whatever I want to do. I'm super happy about that. Yay. It shows that sometimes, you know, you you have to make the hard decision. It's not like you're super happy about it, but you struggle too. And You really see just kind of like her array of emotions through it all. Like you see, like it is not simple for her. she's having a hard time. And I really like that we were able to see that because we were seeing it on social media. You know, she's posting TikToks of her crying and being very upset. but you know, we weren't really fully aware of everything that went on. It was like, did something actually happen? But she was very much just like, the problem is, is I am literally so busy. And with where he is at in his stage of life, aka ready to get married fairly quickly. And with how busy I am and how much we are not able to see each other and like I'm just still, you know, like I'm grinding, I'm hustling, I'm whatever. I just can't see myself be ready for a marriage that quickly. But, you know, doesn't mean that she doesn't love him anymore. There was just the disconnect was there. Just when you're so busy. you know, they boat like he's in the NFL and she was on Dancing with the Stars, like other parts of the world. Like, you know, you it probably very quickly can lose that connection. It's like you know it's there, but it's just like if you can't nurture it, then like how does it keep staying steady and growing, especially when when you are like you have to be that much more intentional. but you know, she still alludes to him like, that's my best friend, and like yada yada. But it was really interesting to kind of see her go through that on this end, like through her perspective. Because I mean, I just remember when there was all the speculation. I was like thinking about it, you know, when she was on Dancing with the Stars last season. And I just kept thinking, like, where is Braxton? Like, he hasn't made a single show. Like, there hasn't been a single time that he's been on. Like, I barely see him. Well. I shouldn't make these claims because I don't follow him. So I don't know. But I feel like I was seeing people talk about how like he wasn't making any post supporting her, of just kind of like, hey, vote for Alix, you know, type of thing. So I feel like there was just a lot of speculation there. And so whenever shortly after the season ended, and you know, we learned that okay, they did break up, it was kind of nice to be able to let in and kind of see like what she was going through on her end. with all of that because obviously it wasn't easy. We all knew as fans, we were like, this just doesn't seem right because they were always together. You know, she would always be at his games, whatever. So it was just kind of bizarre to think like, there was never a single time that he could come to visit her. Obviously, I know he's in the NFL, busy, whatever. But, you know, it just, I don't know, something seemed off and we clocked it, as we always do. so yeah, but it really was sad. It was sad to see her go through that because, you know, Regardless of anything, whatever breakups are never easy. you know, you have to mourn a life that you once knew, this person that you were close with, and now they're like a stranger and it's just uncomfortable. And, you know, you're wanting to do anything to be able to distract yourself and get over the person. And so, of course, like then we lead into her with her whole rendezvous with Tom Brady. So that was super interesting. I haven't finished the season, like I said. So I think there's gonna be more in regards to like the whole Tom Brady situation, whatever was going on with that. But I mean, you know, it's just like clear. Like as soon as this whole breakup thing is going on, you know, she's already talking about like, okay, I need a date again. I need to date again. I'm like, girlfriend, didn't you just say you were so busy? Granted, she did say that, you know, she was like, I just need like fun little flings. But then in the same breath, she's like, How do I find my husband? I'm like, let's just slow down just like a little bit. A little bit. Like let's mourn. Like, let's be sad and like be on our own, be single. You know, Ashen says, like, you've never been single. I'm pretty sure Sally said the same thing. Never no need to be single. Alix is a lover girl. Okay. Can you blame her? But you can't be like, I'm so busy. Now I need a new boyfriend. You know, like that just doesn't really make much sense. I mean, I understand you probably want a distraction, like somebody to text, call, whatever, where it's like not gonna mean anything. But you know, give yourself a little time, a little bit, just a little bit, a little bit. But but yeah, so that was super sad. And then of course, we see Braxton on a date. I can't even remember her name, but Duma posted it. And so I'm like, ugh. Of course. So I wonder if Alix sent Braxton a text, like, really, what is this about? You know, maybe we'll see that on season two. I don't know. But I'm like, of course that gets Posted after we're seeing Alix be super sad and her being super open about it. but anyways. And then of course, what we all have been looking for is the whole feud of Earle and Cooper. Okay. Now, I'll be honest, I really wasn't expecting to learn anything super crazy. And I don't think we did. I mean, did you? Did you learn anything different than what? We kind of already knew. I mean, we got a little bit more insight as to Alix Earle and her experience, but I don't think it was really anything that we couldn't already clock, you know. I mean, i it was pretty painfully obvious. So, anyways, we pretty much get to the root of kind of like the downfall of all of it. Like there wasn't one singular thing. That was happened between the two. That has happened between the two. But we gotta just learn from the start. So, like like I mentioned before, Alix Earle, you know, she does this interview on Call Her Daddy. And she pretty much basically says, like, I looked up to Alix Cooper. Okay. Like I idolized her. Like, this is crazy. Like, my gosh. Like she wants to interview me. Like she wants me to be an unwell. Work, like I'm gonna be her prodigy. Like she's going to be mother. She is going to be my mentor. She's going to protect me and pave the way for me and be there every step of the way and show me how to show me the ropes, whatever. but then it already starts off kind of rocky whenever you know they're doing this interview. And, you know, and this is like the tail end, I feel like, of The transition of what Alix Cooper made call her daddy to be. I've seen a lot of online discourse of like, well, girl, you went on to call her daddy. Like, what did you think was gonna happen with those types of questions you were asked? I mean, but I mean, this was kind of like the transition of it. so I can't fully fault Alix Earle because Alix Cooper wasn't asking every single person on her podcast. All these crazy questions, you know, all these sexual, intimate, explicit questions. she wasn't asking everybody that. So I can't fully fault her for that. But at the end of the day, let's like really break it down here. So, you know, Alix Earle, she talks about how she was uncomfortable. She talks about how she felt like she was taken advantage of, you know, Cooper getting her a little buzzed, drunk, whatever. So that way, whenever they were doing this interview and she's asking her these jarring questions, like talking about. Anal virginity? Like, are we kidding? Gets her all loosey goosey to ask her these questions. And she just tells them because what? She felt pressured. She felt uncomfortable. Like again, this is her soon-to-be boss, like sh her idol, her mentor, whatever. and just puts her in an uncomfortable position. And when you're feeling a little bit buzzed, whatever, you feel a lot less like of the consequences. You don't think about those. So she's saying, she's giving these answers. But you know, one thing that really stood out to me is I guess, you know, Alix kind of just comes back down to earth and is like, oof, like I don't like that I answer those questions. I don't feel comfortable with that being in the episode. Can you scratch that? Can you edit that out? And Alix Cooper would be like, no, girl, it's funny. It's fine. It's just, it's funny. Like, we're gonna keep it in. To completely disregard her. When she is telling you, like I feel uncomfortable, she's like, I don't know if she voiced this to Alix Cooper, but you know, she tells us, it's like, my kids are gonna hear that one day, they're gonna see that one day. Like, I don't want that out there. and rightfully so. I mean, she has her whole family that's like out on the internet. She has little siblings. It's like, ooh, like I probably don't want that out there. Like, I and I don't know what parameters. That it comes to with Alix Cooper and her guest. And if she has them sign something that's like, whatever you say can and will be used against you, you know, like a whole court situation. I don't know all those guidelines, but I can probably assure you that Alix had full Alix Cooper had full authority, power, and control to be able to say, Yeah, we'll cut that out. We can get rid of that. Absolutely. You don't feel comfortable sharing that? Perfect. I mean Just as a podcaster alone, podcaster, but when I have guests on, okay, I make it fully clear to them that if there is anything that after the fact that you feel uncomfortable that you answered, you don't want in, we can take it out. You know, like let's just have a conversation, just be like two, well, I guess sometimes I interview guys. Actually, now that I think about it, most of my guests have been guys. But it's just two people having a conversation. Like, let's just let it flow. Let's just have fun. There's anything that you want cut out, let me know. Absolutely. Up a hundred percent. Obviously, you know, we want to have a good episode. We want to have it intriguing for people to listen to. But like, yeah, like there is a line. Like I understand, like it's your life, like your business. There's You know, maybe you're feeling more comfortable saying it in the moment, or because you know, like after a while, it's like you're just having a conversation, like you forget, yeah, this is being recorded. You need something cut out for sure. and for Alix Cooper to just flat out be like, no, it's funny, we're gonna leave it in. A red flag immediately. Like that is just actually just, you know, not and I guarantee you, she wouldn't have said that to. A celebrity that she was interviewing, like guarantee you, if Miley Cyrus, you know, whenever she was making her transition being a solo podcaster, was like actually cut that out a hundred percent in a heartbeat on her hands and knees, she would be finding the clip to cut it out. So yeah, it does kind of sound like she took advantage of her. And then, you know, like just kind of not really paving the way, she, you know, made it like, I'm gonna give you the world, I'm gonna show you the world. And then just kind of like left her out to dry just things with like podcasting and all of that. And then, you know, she learned that like there would be what is the word? Just kind of like meetups or like going on tour, like events, I guess you could say, like where, there's gonna be the unwell event and yada yada. Like this person's gonna be here, this person's gonna be. She slowly started to see like, I'm not invited. Like I didn't even hear about that. It's just lots of just interesting things. that, you know, she was like, okay, this is just not it. Like, I don't feel comfortable with this. And I think a situation too where it's like, you know, this isn't a good situation. And unfortunately, you know, and I feel like people realize this, like, I feel like you see this a lot of times in reality TV too, because You know, you become friends with somebody. And like when you're friends with somebody, obviously you like you trust them. So, you know, you start telling your secrets. Like they have insider info on you. And then somewhere along the line, something happens and there's an issue between you guys. You have an argument, whatever. Unfortunately, now that person knows these things about you. They know your secrets. They have intimate details. Maybe they have screenshots. Maybe they have pictures. You don't even know what they have in the vault of you anymore because Maybe you guys have just been friends for so long or you just have shared so much. So it definitely got to a point where it's like Alix Earle was just kind of scared to make a huge uproar because she's like, This girl has things on me that I don't want out. I don't need the public to know. So it's like I just kind of have to silently go away. Like silently we're having a feud, basically. And You know, I'm sure when she started seeing people post TikToks and things like that talking negatively about Alix Cooper, that was really validating to her, being like, yeah. Cause let me when there is somebody that you don't like, you know, and it's like, ooh, like other people are seeing this. And it's even crazier too when it it's kind of like outsider view perspective. You know, these people are just making this observation just based on what we see. Through the media and like how people move. So I'm sure for Earle, it's very much like, you guys are picking up on that, are you? Like, yes, I'm gonna hit that with a like. I'm gonna hit that with a repost. so I don't think, you know, what I've gathered from the show, it's like there's not necessarily this huge event, this one huge thing that happened. For Earle, it was more just like. I can see how you move. I, you know, I'm obviously not valued or appreciated or I you you didn't even listen to me when I said, I feel uncomfortable. You didn't care and you just see how things go. It's like I can just tell you're not a good person. And so removing yourself from that situation. So when Cooper, you know, is coming at her via TikTok and just saying, like, say it, go ahead. Cause as far as I know, there's no beef between you and I. It's like, well, yeah, like Alix Earle, like that was a Perfect TikTok because yeah, like there really wasn't one thing for Alix Earle to come back to rebuttal. So I think it was smart that she didn't say anything. I mean, which we all knew. I was like, she's gonna use the show to talk about this whole situation and kind of like her version of events and whatever. And I think that probably was just smart. One, obviously, because we all tuned in, but two, she was able, it wasn't to be able to just be like wrapped up in one TikTok video. And I mean, you know. I haven't gotten to this part yet, but you know, she talks about how she did have things in the drafts because she wanted to rebuttal and she did have a text that she wanted to send her, but like didn't. but you know, kind of just using the show to basically say, like, okay, it wasn't like this was the one event that I was like, my gosh, terrible. It was just things that Alix did, things that were said, things that weren't done to really. you know, show Alix Earle like this is not for me. And I see the way you move and I don't vibe with it. I don't gel with it. it's just like a very classic never meet your heroes situation. You know, I can just imagine like it's so disappointing and hurtful to be like, wow, this girl that I really look up to, I saw her as like a powerhouse, like really for the girls, for the women, and to kind of just be like left in the dust or taken advantage of for my likeness to you or just idolizing you and things that I would do say to kind of create whatever. yeah, I can only imagine like that's super, super hurtful and very disappointing. But yeah, I don't know. And I don't I'm not holding my breath by any means for Alix Cooper to come out and say anything. one, she's extremely pregnant and I just don't think this is gonna be anywhere on her radar. And she never addresses really anything anyway. So I don't suspect this to be I think to her defense, considering that there's not a single like actual real tangible moment of Cooper. That she did to Earle for her to have a rebuttal on. It's more so of just kind of feelings of Alix and like perspective is reality. I mean, aside from the, no, it's funny type of thing, but like think because there's not one huge thing, I think it kind of also gives Cooper an easy way out to not really address it. It's like, well, those are her feelings. And unfortunately, feelings aren't facts, you know? But I mean, I could I fully see what she's talking about. It's like, yeah, like you probably were taken advantage of. anything for content, right? I mean, we see it all all the time. Like that's what that's what this whole industry is. It's like anything for the content, anything for the views, for the clipbait, whatever. but yeah, so I don't suspect Alix Cooper is gonna be making any statements to defend herself or the situation. also too, doesn't really like look the greatest. Because she has Harry Chousey coming to her rescue and like making a statement on behalf of her. And I just was like, all right, Harry, just stop. Just don't. Everything that he was saying just like didn't really make much sense. And it's like, okay, easy for you to say because you're probably the only other podcast under the Unwell Network that gets any sort of traction. And that's at no help of Alix Cooper because you already had a following on your own from being on all these reality shows. and Yeah, I don't know. And it's just kind of like, look at the show that you just did, where it was complete chaos. And we all saw the reunion of Let's Marry Harry. So I don't know. I just didn't think like his him coming to her defense held any weight or just made people be like, yeah, you're right. That's so true. Like, thank goodness Harry is the man to put All of you know the knowledge into us to make us recognize that yeah, like this actually isn't what we are thinking. Like Alix Cooper isn't a terrible person. Like we are being way too harsh on Alix Cooper. Thank goodness we have Harry Jowsey to be the spokesman of that to really make us think and put us in our place. But yeah, so like I said, I haven't finished it yet. But I am enjoying it. I am enjoying it. If there's gonna be another season, I definitely will be dabbling. Like I said, my overall perspective of it is I just definitely think it's going to be the new Kardashian Jenner situation. And you know, it's just going to be like kind of seeing the other side of, you know, things like we'll see through the media, but like we don't get the behind the scenes until the show. Is being shown. So maybe k family conflict, business conflict. It'll just be interesting just because we enjoy Alix Earle as a person. We follow her on TikTok because we just enjoy her story times, her get ready with me's. Like we just enjoy her as a person. So I just feel like it'll just be an easy thing for people to want to tune in. not necessarily for like, the crazy drama, but just for knowing everything that's going on in her life. So yeah, I'm a fan. I'm a fan. Again. Wasn't anything absolutely insane, but I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed myself. So I'm excited to finish the show. And if there's anything that I need to touch on after I finish those, I definitely will. But I feel like that's gonna just be the overall consensus of everything. So yeah, I love it. I approve. we definitely have more reality TV. Underway, up and coming, we have traitors. We have Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. and I feel like, you know, obviously Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, there's always a bunch of drama. And this is kind of another thing, kind of similar in terms of, you know, Alex's show. Not similar by any means of the extremeness of the drama, but just more of like we see things that are going on online. Because they are constantly moving. Like these women, like there's constant things that are happening. Like we're seeing things going on. But the show definitely helps give more background perspective, more insight of the situation. So it's like we see these things happening in real time, like shade being thrown at each other, unfollows, follows, TikTok shade, whatever, posts that are just alluding to something. But we don't know the details. We don't know the lead up of the stories. So we'll get that with the show. So I'm looking forward to that. and I just one thing I will say, it's like I really love this show and I'm here for the drama. I just hope that things aren't just too curated to create a storyline. If they are, I just don't wanna feel like I'm getting clued in on that, you know, because Nothing will be like the first season, like it just seemed so authentic with all of the drama that was going on. And it's just like these girls know where their bread and butter is. It's this show. Like this brings people to like whoa. And it's just like, how much whoa can you possibly do? And then when you're creating such, my gosh, drama that seems just like, okay, these this is friendship ending worthy. but then like later you guys. quickly become friends again, then you're following and then you're in TikToks to it's like, okay, like what's really like, are we curating things? Are we not? But you know, aside from that, I'll just remove that from my brain. I love the entertainment of it. It's great. So I'm super excited. And that comes out tomorrow. So I'm super excited. Definitely will be touch, touching on that for sure. And then we have traders coming up, which I'm super excited about September 17th. And even more so excited because it's regular people. These are just civilians. And here's the thing, I feel like it'll be so much better. don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it with like the celebrities because that's just super entertaining to just kind of see how the mix of celebrities and different shows that they come from and how they navigate. But with it being regular people, it'll be very much big brother adjacent in terms of like, okay, these are just regular folks. Okay. These people have no preconceived notions on each other. They won't have Any be able to like form alliances super quickly because it's like, you're from my show, like let's gang up. Like they will have to learn about each other all together, all at once, and kind of make conclusions just based on their interactions. Like, they won't be like, I know you're a real housewife, so I know you're a little bit shady. Or like, you're a gamer, you were on Survivor, so like we need to probably get you out. You know, they won't have any of that. And I feel like that will make it so much more exciting because. Season one, maybe season two too, but like they had a couple just like regular people sprinkled in, which I felt like was super exciting. But to have a whole cast just be regular people, ugh, I'm excited for it. Like I said, I feel like it'll be Big Brother adjacent, and I love Big Brother. And yeah, so that'll be on the lookout. Yeah, I'll definitely be talking about that. So super, super excited. For those shows up and coming. I feel like we are being fed. We are being fed with the shows. And yeah, I just want it to keep coming. Cause every time I get so sad, I'm like, the show is ending. a new one starts. I did forget to mention I did start Unwell Summer Games. I don't have much to report on it because it's coming out weekly. But, you know. I think I mentioned in like another pr in a previous episode, I'm like, all these things are getting canceled for Alix Cooper. I'm shocked that the Unwell Games didn't. But then I realized, yeah, it's a YouTube show. Like she's producing like it's not like she's under a Netflix, a Hulu, a Paramount, whatever. Like she has the free will to just like upload it. Like it views don't really matter, or you know, people streaming it doesn't really mat like she has free will. Like anybody, like I'm uploading this post to YouTube. You know what I mean? but so makes sense. again, I don't really have too much. I mean, I'm excited to see how it continues to go. Jimmy Sotos is on there. I find him hilarious. Like he's so funny. Hallie Batchelder, love her. Her brother's on there, so that's interesting. but yeah, again, I just we'll see. I will continue like to watch it and if I need to report anything, I will. But only one episode has been out. And I think another one actually dropped today. So it's just a weekly show. So it can't just like binge it all. but that is just something I did want to touch on because I was like, yeah, I guess she has free will in terms of keeping that up and running. So that makes sense. okay, Sheikah week of the week. chic, Jackson Claude returning back to my podcast library. Jackson Claude, host of the toast. Okay. I had been missing them seriously so much. I mean, my friends that listen to it, like we've just been like, my gosh, it's Christmas morning. They are back in the podcast library. Thank goodness. So they took a long hiatus. I felt like it took forever. I think it was almost three weeks, but they are back. And so that's chic. Thank goodness. I love them so much. yeah, that just really made my week like I was getting it was like Christmas morning. and then weak, okay. It's the people on planes that stand up when you're in row 34 and the plane literally just landed. And here's the thing the only, only situation where I'm like, mm, okay, is if maybe it's a medical emergency. If it is a medical emergency, though, that flight attendant needs to know, they need to make an announcement and they need to be like, no one get up from their seat. We need to escort this person off, yada, yada, yada, medical emergency basis. Okay. My next thing is if, okay, I don't know if you guys have ever had this experience, but like you're going through TSA, maybe it's like super early or like whatever, like they have, I don't know, whatever system they got going on, but they give you like a card and then you're like supposed to give it to like the next person. I don't know. Maybe they can create some sort of system like that with people that have connecting flights. So, okay, it's like you have the connecting flight, you know you have a connecting flight. And you get this card, okay? Say it's just like a yellow card. The flight attendant gives you a yellow card. Okay. For whatever reason, if the flight's delayed, there's something wrong, and we land, you have that yellow card to show, all right, I need to bust out of here. I need to bolt out of here because I gotta make my connecting flight that I might just miss. Okay. I feel like somebody needs to hire me because I feel like that needs to be implemented because it's so annoying. Like, Don't tell me, I have a connecting flight, but we landed 15 minutes early. Like you booked your connecting flight. So it's like you were like, okay, here's my connecting flight. We landed this time. That gives me enough time to like make that. We landed early. So like what are you rushing for? Like you're gonna make your flight. Like it's fine. Again, I understand if it's delayed, then that's like scary, but anybody could just be like, connecting flight. So it's almost like we need to identify ourselves. Who's actually got the connecting flight? There needs to be A card. I'm sorry, because it's just so frustrating. Like, if I wanted to wait to get off the plane, I would have put my seat way back there. You know what I mean? It's just like, did we forget manners? Did we forget etiquette? Like you're telling me like, no. So like you standing in the row just waiting to get off. See, here's the thing. You you bolted from row like 34 onwards, upwards, but now you're stuck. And you're blocking my row because everybody else in front of us have to get off. Now, now you just created this whole train because you know it takes one person, then everybody else wants to start. No, we're not doing that. That needs to stop. So, anyways, I could go on a whole rant about like I could make that a whole podcast segment. But, anyways, that's my week of the week is people on planes that don't know how to wait their turn. They don't know when it's their time to get up, and they do that and then they just cause a ruckus and nothing makes me more irritated. So I think we implement something to identify the people that have connecting flights. So if there is a delay, okay, that's fine. Sure. But just because you have a connecting flight, that doesn't mean anything. and then if you have like a medical emergency, okay, whatever. Otherwise, wait your turn. Wait your turn. And then one more thing, just because I'm going on a rant and I'm being nitpicky, you know where it says A B C and then D E F. ABC goes first. D E F goes second. That's how the thing flows.
